Career & Personal History Born in Yorkshire to a Scottish father and local mother, he grew up lacking any substantial education, or any drive to better himself through educational means - in spite of his natural brightness. His mother having left at a young age, and his father juggling a minor criminal's career with his various addictions left little parental attention. Naturally growing up to be a socially-awkward teenager, he delved into various less-than-legal activities, which he pursued into adult life. After several short stints in prison, he began to focus his attentions on his declining physical shape, quickly developing himself into quite the athletic and lean individual. A short spell in WWA's FNTC (Far North Training Camp) followed, before he was pulled immediately to the main roster and established himself as a major star. At a similar time, his various side projects took an unexpected upward turn - at present, outside of wrestling, he is the frontman of popular British/American band WATERinSTONE, has performed in several low-budget films, and is working on an autobiography. Enjoying top feuds against the company's top branded athletes, he since February 2007 he has racked up three World Championships and a European Championship. However, things have not come easily - throughout 2008, during a spell of prolonged hiatuses and no-shows, his mental and physical health took a turn for the worse. Even throughout rehab, he appeared on WWA television in short stints, his real personal issues being warped into a perverse "persona". After recovering well during the first half of 2009, he made a surprise re-appearance following a Triple Threat match, and returned fully to WWA two months later. By time of writing, approaching the end of 2009, certain tensions have worn thin with his home federation, and the appeal of a landmark switch to the EWC is strong. Could Jonathan Carlisle, one of the biggest names in Pro Wrestling today, betray the World Wrestling Alliance to join a rival promotion?
