COMPANY HISTORY
Originally established in March of 1997, the Extreme Wrestling Corporation was the brainchild of a young Wrestler and Entrepreneur Danny Mac, who had dreams of creating a Wrestling Promotion that would mix the theatrics of World Wrestling Entertainment (then WWF) and the life of a real professional Wrestler / Combat Fighter.
Being only sixteen at the time, Danny did not have the capital, time or resources to launch a Wrestling Promotion on his own. So he met with Vince McMahon, Promoter of the WWE and a man with deep pockets and many resources and connections. Danny pitched his idea to Vince, which was met with great scrutiny. However with WWE being completely scripted, Vince did not view this as competition to his Promotion and decided to fund Danny's dream project along with placing Max Powers in charge as the Face and CEO of what would become the Extreme Wrestling Corporation.
The EWC started off in small venues across Canada. After only two live events, the Roster quickly grew from 8 members to 30. Before anyone knew what was happening, the EWC became the talk of the sports world, captivating audiences for it's incredible story-lines and real life finishes. Never before had people bore witness to a non-scripted Wrestling Promotion such as the EWC.
Soon the EWC expanded into the United States and Over-seas. The flag-ship show Monday Night Brawl had quickly found its way onto regular broadcasting through the likes of TSN in Canada and ESPN in the United States. With the Roster growing bigger and bigger, the EWC added a second show, at the time known as Thursday Night Rampage, which went onto move to Saturdays and then found it's permanent home on Fridays.
In 2001, at just 20 years of age, Danny Mac was named the youngest CEO of a multi-million dollar company in North American history. Max Powers had caused some considerable damage to the EWC brand as he grew more and more power hungry and forced his own ways down peoples throats. Many sponsors threatened to leave, which led to Danny Mac having to fire Max Powers in a very public manor.
In March of 2003, on the 6th year anniversary of the EWC, President Danny Mac announced that the Extreme Wrestling Corporation would become a publicly traded company on the Toronto and New York Stock Exchange. The EWC opened at $8 per stock, and has grown to an incredible $606.25 per unit in September 2015.
Throughout the years, President Mac has built over 30 EWC Stadiums and counting in over 30 Cities across the globe. The Stadiums are paid out of pocket and are used by the Cities for Concerts and other events when not in use for the EWC.
The EWC was in-active in 2011, 2012, and 2014
As of the 18th Season in 2015, the Extreme Wrestling Corporation now also has it's own Broadcast Network and Subscription service (EWCTV), an Official Development brand known as Future Stars of Wrestling (FSW), and also owns HardCoreWrestling, Canadian Wrestling Association, German Wrestling Alliance, Florida Wrestling Association and New Japan Fighting Championship.
At the Start of the 2017 Season (Year 20) President Mac announced a new brand called EWC PRIME. PRIME is a first-of-its-kind live show that airs bi-weekly on Sundays. Showcasing the very best of the Indy Wrestling Circuit .. each match on the card takes place in separate locations all around the world. The venues will feature Wrestling matches that wont air on TV, except for a featured EWC sanctioned match that airs on the EWC PRIME event. EWC PRIME is also the first ever EWC Brand to feature an all female commentary team
In 2019, the EWC made the decision to move all regular programming to Bi-Weekly scheduling, marking the first time in its 22 year history that Monday Night Brawl shifted from Weekly to Bi-Weekly. The schedule now features EWC programming twice a week, every week with the exception being PPV weeks. For the first time ever, the EWC Rumble moved on from New York (Rumble In The Bronx) and traveled to Texas. EWC Rumble will move to a new location every year. The 2019 season also saw WrestleFest XVII turn into a 4-Day Wrestling Festival. The event was a giant success, exceeding all expectations and securing itself as a annual occurrence set to return for the 2020 season.
The 2020 season is set to bring in a re-imagining of EWC favorite "StableWars". The annual PPV event which has aired 11 times (1999 - 2018) is known as the 'Survivor Series' of the EWC. The event will be returning in 2020 under the new name Parabellum. From Latin para bellum (from para! ‘prepare!’ (imperative of parare ) + bellum ‘war’) in the phrase si vis pacem, para bellum ‘if you want peace, prepare for war’. The event will take place during the "Asia Tour" and will be held beach side on Phuket Island, Thailand
After another incredible Season of Extreme Wrestling, the EWC returns for Season 22 in 2021. Kicking things off is Legends of the Cage (formally King of the Cage) a massive global tournament with a $1Million Dollar cash prize and a shot at the EWC Undisputed Championship at StrangleMania XVI. FSW (Future Stars) also makes its leap from development to a full fledged third brand among the EWC ranks. FSW will now be known as Paramount Wrestling.
The EWC announced some exciting changes for Season 23 in 2022, which also happens to be the 25th Anniversary of Extreme Wrestling (started in 1997). Part of those changes will see the birth of two more brands in the EWC. The official development brand of the EWC, known as "NextGen" or NG. The focus will be on developing new talent, but may see a mixture of youth and seasoned wrestlers who are trying to get noticed by one of the big 4 brands in the EWC. Another new brand is the return of EWC Unchained. Also new for 2022 are slight changes to Night of Champions and the EWC Rumble. The Insanity Cage event at NOC, will now feature all singles champions, minus the EWC Undisputed Champion. All singles Champions will compete in the same format as years past, the winner now securing a ticket to face the EWC Undisputed Champion at WrestleFest. The EWC Rumble will drop in size, from 40 to 30. However the biggest change is a callback to the way's of old, where the EWC Undisputed Champion must compete in the Rumble and the Championship will be on the line. For 2022 only, as part of the 25th Anniversary celebrations, a limited number of Hall of Famers will be allowed to participate in and compete in the EWC Rumble.

Victor Price, 2023 role TBA - Victor Price comes from a poor family. He has no "in ring" experience, but played professional football for 11 years. He has a strong aptitude for business. Price graduated on a full scholarship from the University of Miami, playing defensive tackle. In 1991, he played a major role on the Miami Hurricanes's national championship team. The following year he was drafted in the 2nd Round by the Miami Dolphins, where he played for for 10 years before being granted a trade to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002. He realized his life long goal that season of winning a Super Bowl as Tampa Bay defeated Oakland 48-21 in January of 2003. Price registered 7 solo tackles and 2 sacks in the game, including a forced fumble. Victor then retired from the NFL and went attended Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts. Victor is a no nonsense General Manager, not afraid to disrupt the status quo, and while he and Mac rarely see eye to eye, Mac appreciates Victor's ability to get the job done and bring in the high ratings.
- Monday Night Brawl Staff and Crew:
Jim Connors, MNB General Manager – A man whose career began as a stand-up comic during the heyday of the 80s and 90s, Connors found himself in a good position to take leadership within the entertainment industry, launching a very successful improvisational comedy club in the suburbs of Chicago. It is, however, his knack for storytelling from the days of being a star, writer, and executive producer of the sitcom "Royal Flush" that garnered the attention of Victor Price, who knew he found the right man for the job. In an era where former wrestlers seem perfect for the role, Connors is a refreshing change of pace as General Manager of Brawl.
Bob Murray, Backstage Correspondent – Close friend of Jim Connors and former co-star of the sitcom "Royal Flush." Made a living as a comedian and voiceover artist before taking the current "gig" at the behest of Connors. Not related to Bill Murray, and will make it a point to correct anyone who thinks otherwise. Cut. It. Out.
Joe Aiello, MNB Senior Analyst – Joe has been with EWC since forever. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable in all things wrestling. While he can be funny, he is straight business and calls matches fairly with no bias.
Steve Bennett, MNB Analyst – 2004 Hall of Fame inductee. Former EWC Champion, US Champion, Tag Team Champion (with Mac), 2x Hardcore Champion, TV Title Champion, and North American Champion. He and Mac used to have epic feuds back in the early 2000's. Bennett is a cocky heel who loves other heels. He speaks his mind and says 'Son o Bitch' a whole lot. Think of him as Stone Cold Steve Austin type
Max Carter, MNB Analyst – The 20 year-old son of President Danny Mac. Danny & Bella Carter were engaged when she died months after giving birth to Max. Max has great knowledge of wrestling & business and was a very popular GM of BRAWL and staff member of APW when he was just in his teens. Now back in the business Max is earnest and optimistic and always defends refs, Mac, the EWC and anything good.
Jessica Stroup, MNB Ring Announcer – Mini bio coming soon
- Friday Night Rampage Staff and Crew:
Grizzly Duggan, FN'R General Manager – Former EWC World Tag Team Champion who loves tag team wrestling (and chicken noddle soup) more than the average joe, was forced into retirement following a vicious attack but El Chupacabra would personally request Grizzly take his role as lead play-by-play on Grizzly's home brand, Rampage. Following some attacks on the FN'R roster, then GM AC Delaney would no longer feel comfortable in the role and Grizzly was promoted to FN'R General Manager.
Bryan Spade, Backstage Correspondent – Not much is known about Bryan Spade other than he is a veteran interviewer and alleged poker buddies with Ace Heart... one might suspect some gambling debt may have gotten Bryan this job.
Candice Tweed, Assistant Backstage Correspondent – Mini bio coming soon
Polar Duggan, FN'R Color Commentator – Mini bio coming soon
Koala Duggan, FN'R Play By Play Commentator – Mini bio coming soon
Emmanuelle Chriqui, FN'R Ring Announcer – Mini bio coming soon
- Paramount Wrestling Staff and Crew:
Chris Brock, Paramount Wrestling General Manager - Known for wrestling with his heart on his sleeve, Chris Brock began his career in 1997 as a member of the ring crew for UCF (Ultimate Championship Fighting), an up and coming national promotion. He was scouted by the company owner while working out in the ring after a show and was given an opportunity. Over the next 20 years, Chris Brock traveled the globe wrestling for various promotions, winning multiple World titles and showing the World that you can succeed without compromising your core values. After retiring from in ring competition. Brock became General Manager of Legacy Pro Wrestling and when it had to close down due to mismanagement by the owner, Brock started his own company, Dynasty Championship Wrestling. After a successful run there he sold the company to APW, where he then spent a short time managing his son, Jay Gatsby, before leaving the wrestling world again. That is until he got the call from President Mac to run FSW. After 1 1/2 successful seasons as the FSW GM, Mac and Brock announced to the World that the 2021 season will see the birth of EWC's third main roster brand, Paramount Wrestling.
Tim Watson, Paramount Wrestling play by play - Watson is an encyclopedia of wrestling knowledge and is well-versed in what the names of everyone's moves are. A consummate professional, he takes his play-by-play duties very seriously. Will sometimes over-explain a certain maneuver, especially if he's impressed by the execution of it. His 'fan' status really comes through. He would probably do this job for free, being so close to the action that he loves.
Cid Sydney, Paramount Wrestling color commentator - A former wrestler, former heel. Cid was changed, reformed by the birth of his first daughter, Abigail, albeit it after a bitter divorce. Sydney quit wrestling to take up the mic and find a more sustainable career as a single father. While he is well-known down under as one of the dirtiest to ever 'play the game', Sydney now only appreciates these tactics from afar. But there are times where the heel in the match will push the line too much, and Sydney is sure to let everyone know if he thinks so.
Lisa Goldrush, Paramount Wrestling Backstage Correspondent - Lisa is one of only two on-air staff to keep her job following the dismissal of the previous GM. Her unique style of interviewing will continue on for future installments of FSW: UPRISING, but only if she herself is willing to fall in line with the direction that the new General Manager has for her and for the brand.
Isabella Starr, Paramount Wrestling Ring Announcer - Young, has a great voice. Here to do her job and only her job. She is reserved to not get involved in anyone else's affairs while in Paramount Wrestling. Hopes to be a star singer one day.
- EWC PRIME Staff and Crew:
Jordan Sharpe , PRIME General Manager - Mini bio coming soon
Eric Mason, PRIME Senior Analyst - Mini bio coming soon
John Livingston, PRIME Analyst - Mini bio coming soon
Joe Danes, PRIME Backstage Correspondent - Mini bio coming soon
Damon Reid, PRIME Ring Announcer - Mini bio coming soon
- NextGen Staff and Crew:
Summer Johnston, NextGen General Manager - A former GM from another company, she has experience in dealing with the wild world of pro wrestling and all of the unexpected antics that come with it. She’s typically a very even keeled woman, preferring to lean toward neutrality over heel or babyface. Coming to EWC in 2023, she's determined to bring eyes to the next generation of EWC talent. She always wants what’s best for NextGen first and foremost, and keeps the company’s reputation at the forefront of her decisions. She's the one at the helm calling the shots, setting up the schedule for the company, and determining hirings and firings.
Marshall Evans, NextGen Senior Analyst - a self-made millionaire and former model. He has made his money mostly through social media and public relations but is also a strong investor in a multitude of businesses. Many have called him the 'next Warren Buffet' for his keen eye and business sense. Marshall is no stranger to the world of promotion, having a bachelors degree in Marketing, Media and Broadcasting. Marshall has worked either in-front or behind the camera for over 25 years. He has also executive produced several Wrestling documentaries and has consulted with President Mac in developing the new EWC Video Game. Marshall has a bit of an ego to him, thus he tends to gravitate towards the heels or siding with those who do what it takes to win.
Hayley Kushnir, NextGen Analyst - The Great Grandaughter of Ivan Poddubny. Piddubny was a professional wrestler from the Russian Empire and later the Soviet Union. He began his sports career around 1900; his career lasted for about forty years and he lost only two times. Hayley has been busy working in the Ukrainian independent wrestling scene for 15 years before calling the shots on the Prime brand for several seasons, and brings a wealth of knowledge and Wrestling heritage to the EWC. Hayley will be focused on the move-sets when on commentary and has a more neutral to face standpoint.
Samantha Lyric, NextGen Backstage Correspondent - Samantha is sass personified. Whether that’s because she wants to break out on her own to a bigger brand down the line, or she wants to prove to everybody that NextGen can play this game just as well as the big names on EWC TV - we’re not entirely sure. She’s quick witted, eager to banter with the best of them and leans a smidge heel.
Evelyn Dominguez, NextGen Ring Announcer - Evelyn has no allegiances, no ulterior motives, she just likes to hype the crowd up for a good show. Expect her to put a lil’ somethin’ on the names of the NextGen stars as they come out to the ring, for both the crowd and the talent themselves to get hyped up about.
PAY-PER-VIEW Staff & Crew
Marcus Woo, Play by Play - Marcus Woo has a dry sense of humor. Often drops hilarity with the straight face, which makes for a confusing time for all. Marcus has deep knowledge of Wrestling. He loves to focus on move-sets and often correctly predicts the next move before it happens. While he can be funny with his banter, he is straight business and calls matches fairly with no bias.
Valentina Gomez, Color Commentary - Valentina Gomez is as feisty as she is passionate. She is the ying to Woo's yang. While the chemistry between the two is off the charts, Velentina does not hold back on her opinions of people, the company, the refs, the timekeeper, the camera crew or the wrestlers themselves. She has no problem letting the 'Latina out' as she calls it like she sees it. Ever sick of the 'baby-face' .. Gomez understands the need to do what it takes, even bending the rules, to get a win. She has a soft spot for those who walk on the dangerous side. The higher the risk, the bloodier the outcome, the happier she is.
Nina Dobrev, Ring Announcer - Mini bio coming soon
Ace Heart, Backstage Correspondent - Mini bio coming soon
Pepper Montana, Backstage Correspondent - Mini bio coming soon

Now back in the business Max is earnest and optimistic and always defends refs, Mac, the EWC and anything good.

- Referees:
Paul Turner, MNB Senior Referee – A 17-year veteran, Paul Turner is one of the most trusted officials in the EWC. Working his way up the officiating ranks over the last several years across ROH and EWC, Turner has proven himself time and again in high pressure matches, and earned the right to be one of the 2 referees given EWC Championship bouts. Not one afraid to call a wrestler out in questionable situations, Paul has also proven willing to step up should a fan also get out of control and attempt to interfere.
Josh Daniels, MNB Referee – Josh is a young referee who was trained directly by Paul Turner. He has a strong understanding and has proven himself to be a very reliable ref in high pressure matches and despite being only 27 has the respect of the roster.
John Dean, FN'R Head Referee – JD started refereeing independent wrestling matches in August 1995. He worked for Harley Race World League Wrestling from 1999 to 2006 and got his big break when a EWC official attended a match he refereed. JD tried out for EWC and was quickly signed. He was sent to EWC developmental territory Future Stars of Wrestling. JD was one of the first referees to work for all four EWC brands FSW, PRIME, BRAWL and now RAMPAGE. Since signing with EWC, JD has refereed in 15 countries and on 5 continents.
Silas McKay, FN'R Referee – Silas was signed by the EWC after he was introduced to the by his friend, Joey Montanna. On his days off and on the weekend, McKay would help set up the ring for EWC events in the Midwest. Officials recognized his hard work and put him in charge of putting up the stage. Eventually, it became a full-time job for McKay. At one point, he was asked to try his hand at ring announcing, which McKay says he was terrible at. McKay was thrilled when a referee position became available and tried out. He’s been a EWC referee ever since.
Matt Mercer, Paramount Wrestling Senior Referee – A reliable referee. One who is rarely caught off-guard or out of position. Well liked within the "EWC Brass" hierarchy, His skill-set has improved in his time as FSW's primary referee. He has proven himself too valuable of an asset to let go at this time and as such was given a promotion following FSW's transition to Paramount Wrestling.
Jesse Lizarraga, Paramount Wrestling Referee - Jesse is a Mexican-American professional wrestler, referee, trainer, actor and owner of the School of Hard Knocks pro-wrestling training facility. He also promotes an independent wrestling organization called Empire Wrestling Federation in San Bernardino, California, performing under the name Jesse Hernandez. He has trained or helped train wrestlers such as Melina Perez, Rico Constantino, Rocky Romero, Ricky Reyes, Alex Koslov, Kia "Awesome Kong" Stevens, Lena Yada and Layla El. He formed the school of Hard Knocks with Bill Anderson, who left to form his own training camp. He was sole inductee in 2006 into the Southern California Pro-Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Niklaus Forbes, PRIME Referee – As PRIME's Senior Official, Forbes is the man many wrestlers will unquestionable refer to as the best referee in the business. Forbes has officiated more PRIME title bouts than any other man, and can always be counted on to call every match right down the middle. He, just like Stefan Elliot, has become a staple of PRIME live events & television broadcasts, and the man nicknamed "The Dude" is truly beloved by the EWC faithful.
Stefan Elliot, PRIME Referee – Originally trained as a wrestler in the 1990s, Stefan has been a longtime mainstay on the West Coast, starting with Empire Wrestling Federation (EWF). He’s also found cruising the ring for other West Coast indies like Bar Wrestling, PCW ULTRA, Alternative Wrestling Show (AWS) and Ground Zero.
Jessika Smalls, PRIME Referee - Jessika is an American former female professional wrestler better known by her ring names Jessie Body and Sandi Banks. She regularly worked for Maryland Championship Wrestling. She is currently signed to EWC in their indy circuit territory PRIME as a referee.
Linda Vine - Strict but fair ref who is respected by the locker room. Has had to work through a lot of abuse and bullying over the years, due to the fact she is a woman, but has proved herself to be one of the best in the business.
David Morse - Corrupt and will accept bribes. David has a serious gambling addiction, and is on the verge of bankruptcy. He is the go to man for anything shady.
Kat Dawkins - Fairly lenient, and tries to let the match flow. She is the perfect choice for hardcore matches, due to her "two men enter, one man leaves" attitude.
Matt Glover - Matt is also a UFC and boxing referee, and has a black belt in Juijitsu. He is well respected within the fighting community.
Toby Sawyer - Rookie ref, makes mistakes. Toby is only 20, and is still on his trial period in the EWC. Easy to manipulate and exploit.
