Shelley took another sip of her drink with a shrug.

"Nope. In fact, I haven't heard from him since we went out on a date when he was taking a small break before getting ready for WrestleFest. I'm just trying to figure out why Ruth actually believes that I knew what he was going to say in his promo for that and that I approved of it, or something. I mean, you've known me nearly as long as she has. Have I done anything to make her think that I would do something like that?"

I shrug my shoulders.

"Nothing I know of...I mean, I've known you for like...over a year now, and every time you had some kind of beef with somebody, you told them face to face...you never needed someone to speak for you, and I think Ruthie knows that. Now, I have seen some bitter feuds in all my years of wrestling, but I have never seen anything as intense like this. This thing between Xplode and Drake is getting way too personal to the point where you and her are getting dragged into it, and it's probably gonna get a whole lot worse before it's all over."

"I'm doing my best to not get involved, but we haven't been left with much of a choice. Ashton is obsessed with Jaden. It's gone far beyond wrestling, and I am genuinely afraid of what will happen before the rubber match is over. Quite frankly, we all should. Even President Mac. This isn't going to end well at all."

I didn't want to admit it...but she was right. 


"With the way those two are destroying eachother...I think they may destroy EWC along with it, it might not matter who wins....because we'll all be losers...there may not be an EWC left. Only thing we can do at this point is hope for the best."

As true as it was that destruction was imminent, she knew that she couldn't let that get her down. After a lackluster year, all Shelley wanted was to look forward.

"I say that we just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. If the worst happens... we'll deal with that when the time comes."
