WELCOME TO FUTURE STARS OF WRESTLING!!
The opening pyros hit and here we go.
The camera pans around showing the excited crowd jumping for joy in anticipation for the beginning of the show.
Wright: Welcome everybody to Future Stars! We are LIVE here from Belgrade, and as always, I'm Your host, Franklin Wright, and beside me is the venerable one, Dick Shelby!
Shelby: Well Frankie boy, we're out in Eastern Europe, Scars & Stripes is only a few weeks away, and there's big speculation about the main event....
Wright: Wait on that a sec...*listens intently*...I have just received word from Mr. Tyson. Tonight's main event will determine the number one contender to new FSW champion Otaki. That's major news!
Shelby: Indeed it is...how will this late announcement change things for Vegas, Hatchet and Stephen? How will they handle the pressure?
Wright: We'll find out by the end of the night Dick. Let's take it to the ring!
Larson & Bane started off the show and gave the Belgrade fans fireworks! The man of chains took it to the giant hard and fast, hitting him with hard shots and crisp takedowns. Can't ever remember seeing Bane taken off his feet like Larson was able to do in the early stages of this match. However, the big man Bane was able to neutralize Larson's offense, weathering the early storm, put his power game into effect, and managed to get a couple of near-falls, first with the Hit-N-Run, then with a Bane Effect, but Larson managed to escape both with the smallest of kickouts. Larson managed to surprise Bane and hit him with a Death Drop after some underhanded moves to get the advantage, but Bane managed to get a shoulder up on that. Larson then went to the dirty trick well again, dropping Bane with Chained Up, but again, Bane managed to get the shoulder up. In the end, Larson went to the well one time to many, as after another attempt at Chained Up, Bane managed to keep Larson from pulling back, and hit him with one more Bane Effect. Larson still managed to get the shoulder up, but unfortunately it was after the count hit three, giving Bane the victory.
These two ladies had a helluva act to follow, and follow they did. Both ladies showed their disdain for one another from the jump, Hope being especially vicious with the punches and kicks. Lexie managed to get the upper hand and turn the tables on Hope, getting her own stiff shots off on Hope in the corner. Hope managed to wriggle free and rake Glass in the eyes, stunning her and giving Hope the opening to lock Glass into a fujiwara arm bar. Glass tried, initially in vain to reverse the hold, but Hope was having none of it. She sinched in tighter, seemingly revelling in the pain that she was inflicting on Lexie, who was screaming out in agony. Lexie finally summoned the strength to pull herself to the ropes, but her arm was definitely the worst for wear. Hope went back on the attack, but a desperation back elbow from Lexie stopped Hope dead in her tracks, bloodying her nose and giving Lexie enough time to roll Hope up and get the pin & win, but the success was short lived, as Hope hit Lexie with a knee and locked in the armbar once again and wouldn't let go. It took three officials to pull Hope off of Lexie, and you could see the damage done as Lexie was escorted to the back by medical staff.
The "Queen of the Martyrs" was in rare form in her first match since becoming champion, as she took it to BEH with a "happy" streak that was anything but. Otaki wasted little time in seemingly dismantling BEH, thwarting any prolonged offense that BEH threw at her while getting any offense that she wanted when she went on the attack. In the end, a Kamehameha followed with the Grand Finale was all she wrote, and the champ looked the part in getting the win.
With the pressure amped up now that this was for the slot opposite Otaki at Scars & Stripes, all three men went for the killshot early. The newcomer Vegas made his impression off the top, taking Kingston out of the match in the early stages with a picture perfect (and the Belgrade crowd took plenty of them) corkscrew senton off the top rope, taking Kingston down before he could even get in the ring. Lawson and Hatchet went around, trading moves and counters, until Mr. "No Nicknames" made his way back into the fight, turning the heat up by hitting neckbreakers on both men, then DDT'ing both of them again for good measure to get the advantage. Stephen then went after Hatchet, trying to wear him down with hard slams, topping his efforts off with a triple suplex, something we hadn't yet seen from him before. Kingston went for a pin, but barely got a 1 count before it was broken up by the big boot of Lawson coming across Kingston's dome piece, knocking him off of Hatchet, giving him the reprieve as Lawson went to work on Kingston. After a flapjack dropkick and a beautiful Tilt-a-whirl DDT, Vegas looked like he was about to come up 7's and get a title shot in his first month in....but lady luck was not on Vegas's side tonight...for all he got was an out-of-nowhere KTFO, then a Hidden Path to Shangri-La, as Hatchet Gully gets the win and the title shot.
Wright: Hatchet Gully has earned one more shot at the belt that has eluded him for his EWC tenure. Can he finally get over the hump and win the gold?
Shelby: I dunno Frankie, Otaki has seemed to hit another gear tonight, and if this is the purple princess we're gonna see going forward, I don't see who can beat her, champion in recess Jeremy Warren included. But at least this time it's one on one.
Wright: You're right Dick...Otaki looks like having that title has put her on another level. And with that we bid you adieu from Belgrade. For Dick, Deneen and the crew, I'm Franklin Wright, saying good fight and goodnight. See you in Vienna!
