Nanshal Gymnasium in Guangzhou, China
I knew it was stupid, to fly half way across the world just to see him but I had to…I had to see him with my own two eyes. How long has it been I wondered, how long had it been where the two of us would be under the same roof…would he be looking over his shoulder tonight?
The line outside the Nanshal Gymnasium begin to move as the crowd started filing inside for tonight’s mask, Xavier pulled his hat down and his hood up over his head as he looked around, to see the small children and their parents wearing the bright and colorful El Pablo masks…
Of course he would be popular here, Asia was a hot bed of everything flashy and bold and that’s just what my brother had always been but I had heard the rumors…that he wasn’t the same since his knee injury in Sin City…that he wasn’t the same man that once was labeled ‘The Five Star Superstar’…
Xavier reached the front of the line and hands the lady his ticket for tonight’s event, she scans it and then hands it back to him…
And how the mighty have fallen, he was use to selling out venues like Madison Square Garden, MGM Grand, the Tokyo Dome and now tonight he was making his return in front of what…2,500 people inside some gym nobody has ever heard of…where were all the reporters, the cameras…where was all the excitement that normally came with an El Pablo match?
Row 15 Seat 5…Xavier walks to his row and finds his seat…he slides on a pair of black sunglasses and one of those white masks over his mouth…
I didn’t want to be noticed so I was going to do whatever it took to just be another person in the crowd…in the past I would have been plotting my way to surprise my brother, to try and ruin whatever excitement he might have for tonight but tonight…it just wasn’t the time and place. He was facing a man in Diabhal that from what I had been told was making a name for himself in Prime and was going to give my brother everything he could handle…and that was assuming he was back to being the El Pablo we all knew…not the crippled he had become.
The crowd began to take their seats in excitement and he could feel the time was growing near…
So this was it…would I see a man that was still a threat to me or would this really be the final sad chapter in what was the story of El Pablo…could I have the satisfaction that NOW he truly has nothing left…

Leurox: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the 17th edition of Prime, I’m Eva Leurox, my co-commentator here with me is Nessa Reeve. Nessa!
Reeve: Hello everyone, very happy to be here as always. This is a show that makes history, it is the first brand to have an all women commentary team and now we have our first co-main event, and maybe the first in EWC history
Leurox: I don’t know about first in history, I will have to check but tonight, we have two smashing main events. Sarah Lacklan going up against rival Eva Leurox, and Stitches the C’ C for champion, going toe to toe with the second coming Criss Cassidy.
Reeve: I can’t even predict those matches, but I can tell you it is going to be an amazing show.
Leurox: That it would Nessa.
Reeve: We also have three debuts tonight, one is RPM going up against Thomas Fabiano, El Pablo against Diabhal and then we have Wyatt Warner who will be hoping he can get a win over the highly consistent Candy.
Leurox: Welcome to the brand boys, this is by far the most competitive brand in the EWC, and you are all bound to get a baptism by fire.
From the parking lot area of the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium, Nevaeh is seen stepping out of her rental car when she is approached by Jenna Salvatore. The Prime Interviewer already has her mic at ready and a cameraman with her to capture the moment.
J.SALVATORE: Excuse me, Nev…
Before Jenna can get her full name out, the Platinum Blonde cuts her off.
NEVAEH: What do you want?
She questions in an annoyed tone as she goes to retrieve her gear bag from the backseat.
J.SALVATORE: I was hoping to get your thoughts on your match tonight.
As Nev closes the car door, she turns and rolls her eyes at the interviewer.
NEVAEH: I already gave my thoughts on the match and everything else as well. As I said before, the time for talk is over.
J.SALVATORE: Yes, but…
Once again Nev cuts the interviewer off.
NEVAEH: But nothing!
She seethes before taking a breath as she does her best to calm down.
NEVAEH: Look, I’ve already said all I need to. Instead of covering the same ground again, I’m just going to walk through those doors and let my actions speak for themselves. I sure do hope they’re all ready for what’s about to come their way.
With that, Nev slings her bag over her shoulder and walks off, leaving the interviewer standing there as she enters the stadium.
Thomas finally grew into the fight at some point in the fight, the constant battery gave him enough time to understand who he was up against and soon he caught his opponent offguard with a roundhouse kick that nearly sent his head rolling off his body.
The end of the fight came when RPM looked to catch a recovering Fabiano off guard with a spear but instead his move got countered and sent on the FABIANO EXPRESS!
'One Missed Call (2008) Theme' hits and the crowd instantly responds, giving a mixed reaction to Stitches, The Clown.
Nessa Reeve: Well, here comes our new champion.
Eva Leurox: Indeed. At Night Of Champions Stitches brought it to Nevaeh and then some and managed to walk out champion.
As the beat drops at around the thirty seven second mark the curtains are brushed to the side, smoke spewing out from behind the curtains, and out walks Stitches. A wide, red-painted Chelsea-esque grin is across the face of Stitches as he stares out at the crowd of people before him.
Eva Leurox: So, where is the championship?
Nessa Reeve: No clue. Perhaps under his suit jacket?
Stitches methodically makes his way down the ramp, staring down the crowd members who dare lean too far over the crowd barricade. As he reaches the bottom of the ramp he stops and once again looks out at the crowd of people before him. Stitches approaches the nearby steel stairs, climbs up onto the apron and begins walking the edge of the apron like a tight rope before reaching the nearby ring post. Stitches climbs up onto the second rope and throws his arms out wide for the crowd to embrace him. As expected, the crowd does not embrace a sinister-looking clown.
Stitches hops down from the rope and enters into the ring. Stitches demands a microphone which he is given. Stitches then steps towards the center of the ring and then turns his attentions towards the titantron which begins to play a replay from Night Of Champions.
We return to the centre of the ring where Stitches stares down the camera with a wicked grin.
Eva Leurox: Night Of Champions was one hell of a night. Stitches managed to dethrone Nevaeh and walk out as Indy Champion.
Nessa Reeve: He was also the only wrestler to walk out of Night Of Champions as a new champion
Eva Leurox: Not only that, but he and Prince were so very close to bringing the Tag Team Championships over to Prime
Nessa Reeve: Harvey Steel was tapping out to Stitches, but the referee was distracted. If the referee was in the right place at the right time Stitches and Prince would be the new Tag Team Champions.
Eva Leurox: Regardless, they showed the other EWC brands what our Prime roster is truly capable of.
Stitches lifts the microphone to his lips and begins to speak.
Stitches: And with that Nevaeh's wings burn to ashes. I warned her. I warned her if she dared to fly too close to the sun that she was come crashing down to the Earth below and that is exactly what happened to her. At Night Of Champions she dared to challenge me and my abilities inside the squared circle. She dared to underestimate me and the very real threat I presented to her reign as Indy Champion. She tried, she really tried to thwart this clown but I was too much for her. You all saw the match, you saw how I showed Nevaeh's true colours. Now here I stand as your new Indy Champion whereas Nevaeh, well, she is likely wallowing in her own self destruction.
Stitches unbuttons his purple suit jacket to reveal the Indy Championship strapped around his waist.
Eva Leurox: There is the championship.
Nessa Reeve: I was right.
Stitches: And there it is, the prize we all fight for. The prize that gives us all meaning inside this ring. We all fight for a shiny object, attracted to it, mesmerised by it like the magpies we are. We all fight for this expecting things to change, but nothing changes. I proved that at Night Of Champions. Despite having a fancy championship belt around her waist, Nevaeh was still the same gullible, naive, condescending angel I initially squared off with a few months prior and the result was no different. Nothing changed with Trixie, nothing changed with Nevaeh and nothing changes now that I have this shiny championship belt.
Stitches unbuttons the Indy Championship from around his waist and holds it victoriously in the air with one hand.
Stitches: Ben Moss must be shitting in his boots knowing that I am the face of his brand. But the harsh reality is that I am the face of this Prime brand. I am your champion and I intended on remaining champion for a very long time. I have worked too damn hard to allow this to all slip between my fingertips. Nevaeh failed you, she failed you all and now here I stand as your new Indy Champion.
Eva Leurox: It is a scary thought to know that this crazed anarchist is our reigning champion.
Nessa Reeve: Whether people like it or not, this is our reality now and we need to live with it until someone can dethrone Stitches.
Eva Leurox: According to Stitches, it won't be any time soon.

MATCH 2
---------
Diabhal got the early advantage on the newcomer El Pablo who seemed to be having an issue blending into the match. He caught the newcomer with a fireman carry which seemed to set the pace of the fight. Not long into the fight though, Pablo found his feet and left them at every chance possible, hitting his opponent with hurricarana’s, drop kicks and one quite effective frog splash.
The defining moment came when El Pablo’s flying off the ropes backfired and Diabhal caught him with an uppercut as he came down. The opposing momentum nearly knocked him unconscious and Diabhal was able to pin him for the three counts.

MATCH 3
---------
Kristian Bane started the match on a high, he caught Honey Hunt ofguard with his phenomenal upperbody strength, in fact, all through the match he out muscled her in every grapple, but Honey stayed steadfast and played a long and very strategic game. She aimed for the head and the legs, which ever gave out first, she kept attacking Bane’s legs all through the match with leg chops and baseball slides. That coupled with a dropkick to the knee that almost broke his leg in two.
The end came when Honey Hunt caught a dazed and confused Kristian Bane in the Honey Trap, the move inflicted as much pain as possible to the man’s arms before planting him into the mat for the pin.

No One looked ready for this fight and seemed very calculative as he executed every move he made. Within the span of the match, he landed a snap suplex and a Michanoku Driver. But the defining moment came when he submitted the ex-champion with a last breath.

THOMAS FABIANO
THOMAS FABIANO
Live from the Pavillon des sports Modibo Keita, Bamako, Mali (2,400 people)
EWC’s new colorful hero came in with enough flair to host the gay parade. He fired on early with tremendous momentum which was hard to deal with by Thomas Fabiano. He dished early punches which must have worried pretty boy Fabiano about his looks, and once he fed the man enough punches he laid him out with a pedigree.Thomas finally grew into the fight at some point in the fight, the constant battery gave him enough time to understand who he was up against and soon he caught his opponent offguard with a roundhouse kick that nearly sent his head rolling off his body.
The end of the fight came when RPM looked to catch a recovering Fabiano off guard with a spear but instead his move got countered and sent on the FABIANO EXPRESS!

Mystery Man: Such resilience shown by these two, back and forth, all night long! This might as well be the main event
FBI: This is just proof of how much quality the EWC has. These two were in South Korea less than a week ago and today they are back in North Carolina, they do not look Jet-lagged at all.
Nevaeh brings the challenger to his feet and begins dispatching punches, but the man is able to catch one of the hands and deliver a chop slap into her chest which he follows up with a kick to the midsection. Stitches hooks her arms and the crowd go wild, they know what’s coming… For the second time in the night, THE SOUND OF SILENCE! He goes for the pin.

The titatron lights up to the intro of Train Keeps a Rollin´, showing Honey Hunt in a parking lot where she shovels Frankie Harewood´s nickels and dimes into an armored transport. She stops for a moment, drives the blade of her shovel into the pile of coins and leans on the handle.
Honey: A while ago I really ticked off Mister Ben Moss. I was told that when I lose my barbwire boxing match against Frankie Harewood I was supposed to forget the name Ben Moss. Now I´ve won the match so I suppose I don’t need to forge the man.
I don´t have to forget that Ben Moss turned out to be much more of a straight and honorable guy than I gave him credit for. After I put Frankie in his place and made 300 million wrestling fans in one night of boxing it is due time that I apologize to you Mister Moss. You are the man, you are the boss and I work in your ring.
Well actually right now I´m helping to get Frankie´s money to the bank because I feel sorta responsible for this mess. When I´m done here I would very much like to return to your ring and your show and kick ass to draw fans to PRIME. It´s your call if you still want me but no matter what you decide let´s be clear about two things.
I was wrong about you and I have no problem whatsoever with the color of your skin or anybodies skin for that matter. Frankie needed this and you got caught in the middle only because you thought he would be your golden boy. Maybe we both learned a thing or three along the way. Now if you excuse me, I still got like two tons of metal to move.
Honey returns to her shoveling as the camera backs away from Ben Moss's tv to catch him watching the entire thing shaking his head.
Ben Moss: Huh!
He says under a chuckle.

Ben Moss: She really has nothing to apologize for, those two matches were ratings!!! And, she knocked Frankie on his ass so hard he retired without saying goodbye.
The general manager says it all speaking to the camera.
Ben Moss: This show is not for the weak, this is as competitive as it gets in the EWC, so maybe Honey will just be my weed wacker and get rid of everyone that doesn't meet the status quo, much like Frankie boy wasn't.
Moss turns his attention away from the television and buries himself in papers as the camera fades to commercials.

From the backstage area of the Stadthalle, Candy is seen sitting before the camera. She appears to be all business as her usual smile is not present.
CANDY: You know Wyatt, I’ve been giving this a lot of thought lately. Truth be told, I don’t care whether you see me as Wonder Woman’s cousin, Oliver Twist’s little sister, or another person altogether. Because it still doesn’t change anything. I’m still going to go out there tonight and keep my streak alive.
Candy nods.
CANDY: That’s me just telling you like it is. So I hope you’re not getting the wrong impression. I’m not asking you to back down. Believe me, I want this fight more than anything. This way when I’m victorious there is no doubt who the better person person is.
Candy pauses.
CANDY: Bring your best, Wyatt. But I promise your best doesn’t stand a chance against my Candy Crusher. Hope you’re prepared for it. Because your hopes of coming away with a win in your debut match are about to be crushed!
With that, Candy stands up from her chair and walks off as the scene switches elsewhere.

TRIXIE
Live from the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, China (3,500 people)
Trixie looked a bit off the pace from the start of her match, and No one was there to capitalize on the moments of lapse from the former champ. She by no means went down easy as she landed a couple drop kicks and a very effective crossbody off the top rope.No One looked ready for this fight and seemed very calculative as he executed every move he made. Within the span of the match, he landed a snap suplex and a Michanoku Driver. But the defining moment came when he submitted the ex-champion with a last breath.
WINNER: NO ONE VIA SUBMISSION

CANDY
Vs WYATT WARNER
Live from the Stadthalle, Klagenfurt, Austria (4,000 people)
One of the toughest matches of the night, Wyatt and Candy matched each other in every way possible, but were impressive from the very start. Wyatt looked determined to prove he is right where he belongs amongst the elites in the business and Candy was looking for her fifth win in a row, a very nice turnaround after a period of uncertainty in her career.
Th contest was a close one with both really looking ready for the combat, reversals were the order of the day as Candy reversed an array of moves as did Wyatt.
The end of the bout came when Wyatt found a chink in Candice’s armor and landed a montreal screwjob laying Candy out for a pin.

SARAH LACKLAN
VS HEAVEN "NEVAEH" LEIGH
Live from the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand (7,000 people)
The first of the two main events was stellar to all who witnessed it, both at home and in the arena. The crowd were hyped for it and boy did the two ladies leave everything in the ring. The stronger more powerful Nevaeh connected early with a powerslam which sedated her opponent early on, but Sarah is not one to receive and not give, and she proved it with a shining wizard that nearly took Nevaeh’s head off.
The crowd sang choruses as both battled all over the ring and even on the outside, Sarah found herself and the wrong end of an irish whip that crashed her into the steel steps but she recovered and eventually nailed the former champion with the Abyss and scored a win.

CRISS CASSIDY
Vs
STITCHES THE CLOWN (C)
Vs
STITCHES THE CLOWN (C)
Live from the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand (7,000 people)
"Second Coming" by Juelz Santana begins to play as smoke shoots out infront of the entrance.
Damon Reid: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Chicago, Illonois, Criss Cassidy!
Criss Cassidy walks out from behind the curtains and stands on the ramp in a lavish robe and matching long tights. He holds his arms out and makes his way down to the ring.
As the beat drops at around the thirty seven second mark the curtains are brushed to the side, smoke spewing out from behind the curtains, and out walks Stitches. A wide, red-painted Chelsea-esque grin is across the face of Stitches as he stares out at the crowd of people before him.
Damon Reid: And his opponent, from New Orleans, Louisiana, he is the current INDY CHAMPION! STITCHES THE CLOWN!
Stitches hops down from the rope and enters into the ring before approaching the nearby corner of the ring. Stitches turns around, facing the center of the ring and sits down in the corner of the ring, waiting for the bell to ring.
The referee explains the rules to both, they listen and nod accordingly, before he sends them to their individual corners and calls for the bell.
DING DING DING!!!
Stitches and Cassidy go on the attack, they get into a grapple but Stitches stomps him away and follows up with a clothesline but Cassidy ducks under his arm, catches him from behind for a German suplex and flings him. Stitches lands on his feet, throws a right hand, but it is sidestepped and Cassidy finally connects with the first blow of the fight, an elbow to the face. Stitches takes a moment to check his lips for any injury, there is none, so he flashes a smile and returns a right of his own cracking Cassidy in the face so hard he bounces off the ropes and holds on to it.
Both appreciate the impact of each other’s hit as they circle the ring keenly watching one another. Stitches is the one who gains the upper hand as he grabs the man and sends him flying across the ring with a belly to belly suplex. Cassidy crashes hard into the mat but Stitches keeps the pressure up, he grabs Cassidy’s leg and tries to put him into a sharpshooter, Cassidy boots him away and picks himself up.
Leurox: Back and forth, these two are matching each other pound for pound, blow for blow
Reeve: I’ll say terrific athleticism being shown by these two
Right hands are shared evenly between them weakening the feet under them, but then Criss plants his foot into the midsection of Stitches and then catches him with a spinning neckbreaker planting his face into the mat. Cassidy keeps the pressure on by dropping an elbow on the chest of the champ. He isn’t done though, he repeats the move on more time and then follows up with a dropped knee to the chest before pinning Stitches.
Leurox: Cassidy may just stake his claim for the title now if he wins this now
Reeve: He may win it right now!

Kick Out!
Cassidy picks the man up and hits him with an elbow that sends him to the turnbuckle, he then runs at him to crack him with the knee but Stitches gets out of the way and Criss ends up stuck with his leg intertwined with the ropes. This gives Stitches a huge opening and he begins boxing the head of his opponent like a punching bag. After several punches that weaken Cassidy he unhinges him and drops him with a fireman carry.
Stitches pulls his man by the foot across the ring and sets his fit by the ring posts. He hops out of the ring and clanks Cassidy’s leg against the post hard. Cassidy cries out in agony but that buys him no sympathy from the clown who laughs as he crashes Cassidy’s knee into the post one more time.
Leurox: The champ has really turned this fight around
Reeve: It looks like he is trying to send Cassidy into the pay per view with an injury
Leurox: Well, he has the chance to seriously impact one of his opponent, maybe take Cassidy out of the equation completely and all he has to worry about is Nevaeh and Sarah
Reeve: That’s still quite a lot to worry about, that’s like having sex with a prostitute without protection ‘nothing to worry about’
Back into the ring Stitches goes and he pulls the limping man to his feet and drops him with a Northern light suplex. Cassidy lies flat on the mat and the clown picks this moment to win it.

Kick Out!
Leurox: That’s a lot of punishment to kick out of
Reeve: Cassidy is not going out without a fight
Stitches lifts his head in disbelief as he rests on one knee, how on earth could the man had kicked out of that, he wonders. He picks Cassidy up and whips him hard towards the turnbuckle but the man crashes close to the ropes from his weakened knee. Stitches keeps the pressure on the leg and punts his knee, drilling the kick so deep into it that Cassidy wails. The champ begins to stomp at the leg repeatedly, not giving Cassidy a moment to breath.
Leurox: This is cruel! Stop it!
Reeve: If you can’t take the heat, don’t cook and die.
Leurox: That’s not how the saying goes
Reeve: If you can’t beat them, beat your meat
Leurox: Oh Christ!
Stitches grabs Cassidy’s leg and goes for the figure four leg lock but the man is not having it, he stomps the champ away with his good right leg and then rolls out of the ring to buy himself some time to recoup. As he stands on the outside Stitches approaches the ropes to get a hold of him and he capitalizes on the moment, grips the clowns head and bounces it off the top rope which sends the man rebounding off it and into the mat. Cassidy rolls back in and begins to crash his hand into the face of the champion. The pounding continues as Cassidy rages on like a lunatic. He then picks the champion and drives him into the mat with an explosive powerbomb. He goes for the pin.

Kick Out!
Leurox: This match is going down to the wire, neither man is giving up!
Reeve: We expected an explosive main event, and by God we got two, Nevaeh and Sarah brought the house down and Stitches and Criss are here destroying the fucking foundation.
Cassidy hobbles to his feet and onto the top turnbuckle, he rises to his feet and signals the fans who begin to chant his name.
“CRISS”
“CRISS”
“CRISS”
“CRISS”
“CRISS”
The pronounced chants help propel him off the top rope and he comes crashing down in spectacular fashion onto his opponent with the Stinger Splash. He goes for the pin once more.

Kick Out!
Leurox: Holy Shit! How!
Reeve: I… don’t know
Cassidy palms the ring several times in frustration and lets out a growl as he picks Stitches up to his feet once more. He watches the champ wobble on his feet then he sends his knee to the man’s mid section but the leg is caught in midair and returned to him. In a moment of shock Cassidy is caught by the returned kick from Stitches which he follows up with the Sound of Silence!

DING DING ------
Just as the announcement is about to be made about the winner down the ramp comes the former champion Nevaeh with a steel chair in hand. She rushes into the ring, and swings for Stitches head but he ducks under it and slides out of the ring. Stitches smiles as he backs away from Nevaeh who is watching him keenly from the ring but what he isn’t expecting is the kendo stick to the head from Sarah Lacklan who just bursts into the scene from the crowd.
Leurox: Stitches won the match but it has all gone to hell from there
Sarah continues to crash her stick into Stitches back as Nevaeh looks to join her on the outside. Nevaeh is caught by surprise by Criss Cassidy who grabs her by her hair and flings her shoulder first into the ring post.
Reeve: OUCH! Jesus!
Cassidy picks up the chair Nevaeh left lying in the ring and hobbles over to Sarah who is so focused on Stitches she doesn’t see the chair coming before it cracks her in the back of the head. Sarah falls right next to Stitches who is soon picked up by Cassidy who is not quite content with a loss, he lifts the man over his head but then out comes Nevaeh who baseball slides the feet from under him and both he and Stitches land hard on the ground. Nevaeh goes for the champ and picks him up but as she does, she is caught tapped from behind, and as she turns, she is fed a drop kick to the face from Sarah Lacklan. Stitches uses the moment to get himself to the announce table and collects his title. Once he gets a hold of it the three athletes are all prime and coming for him one at a time, Sarah the first of the walkers to approach him, he nails her with the title across the head but as the others swarm towards him he jumps into the crowd and wiggles his way through an ecstatic audience.
“THIS IS AWESOME”
“THIS IS AWESOME”
“THIS IS AWESOME”
“THIS IS AWESOME”
“THIS IS AWESOME”
Stitches wiggles through the crowd and Nevaeh, Cassidy and soon even Sarah followed along. He gets to one of the exits and bursts into the arena merchandise area.
Leurox: This is ridiculous! They are still after the champion
Reeve: They all want to be the top dog, and to be the one, you have to beat the one.
Stitches rushes through the halls pushing bystanders aside, and his assailants follow closely as he darts through. He cuts into a corner and runs by an old friend on his way out. As the assailants get to the corner, Nevaeh who is at the fore front is taken down by a clothesline by Patches the clown. The two others lagging behind try to make their way by him but he stands his ground with a shove keeping them away from the man. This does not sit well with Sarah who is already dealing with a headache from multiple headshots, she kicks the man in the groin and then nails him with the Abyss on the hard-tiled floor.
Leurox: Somebody stop this madness!
Cassidy runs right past the shinanigans as but Patches had stalled him just enough for him to meet the screeching tires of Stitches car as he pulls out of the arena.
Leurox: Wow! What an absolute cracker we had for you all today but that’s all the time we have today, make sure you tune in to Rumble in the Bronx, life on pay per view, September 25th. Goodnight.
