EPISODE #010
NOVEMBER 8TH, 2018
LIVE! from the Cow Palace - Daly City, California
🎧🎵 WE RISE..... NEVER BACKING DOWN FROM A FIGHT 🎵🎧
"Rise"by Something Clever blasts in the arena as the show starts off with video footage detailing historic events that have taken place on Future Stars, From past champions like Jason Hunter, Dixie Dubois, Amis Shelton, Magdalena Lockheart; Otaki all standing underneath the old FSW logo... As pyro goes off the new Uprising logo crushes the old and the image of Otaki is replaced with that of Robina Hood before switching to newer stars like Scott Grayse, Leigh Matthews, Kortni Master, Lofa Lua, Kaden Kessler, Melody Melone and The Butcher; to more established stars like Draco Lazarus, Sarah Roberts, James Larson, Matt Angel, Lexie Glass, Maurice Yensman and Smokey Jones...and Xavier Reid. In the final video transition, we zoom back out past all the superstars to a final image of Robina Hood holding her second championship.
The camera pans around the loud and out of control audience many who are holding up signs for their favorites and even some of their not well liked. There are small chants and cheers breaking out around the crowd.
F.... S... DUBBAH
UPRISING!
The lights come back to full as the large video screen lowers from it's rafter home. The announcers are on standby and ready for the show to begin.
Jackson: Welcome, FSW faithful, to another exciting edition of Uprising, live from the Cow Palace here in Daly City. I’m Tom Jackson, joined as always by Todd Calloway…
Calloway: Thank you, peasant. You’re happy to have me.
Jackson: …and the legend herself, Ruthann Hunter.
Hunter: An action packed show for you all tonight as we deal with the fallout of Hardcore Revolution! New champion, fellas!
Calloway: That’s right. One weird monster beat another weird shadow monster for the biggest prize in our company.
Jackson: No time to decompress, though, since we’re staring down the barrel of Stable Wars. In fact, our very own Brandon Carter Banks is already in the ring with a thrilling announcement.
The camera view changes and there is a very pleased GM. He smirks at the adoring fans as the cheers reach their natural crescendo.
Banks: Thank you, FSW! I will never tire of hearing the love from you. As much as a broken record it makes me sound, YOU are the backbone of this company. So I thank you!
The crowd goes wild, breaking out in chants that never seem to decide on one cadence but is endearing all the same.
Banks: W made a lot of history at Hardcore Revolution, and everyone….we have more history to create. As you know, Stable Wars is directly upon us. As you may not know, since it was announced on PRIME, we have a stacked team going in. Chosen by our newly crowned champion, Robina Hood…
A loud cheer goes out.
Banks: …Sarah Roberts…
Another raucous cheer erupts.
Banks: …Melody Malone…
Again.
Banks: …Robbie Rayder…
Cheer.
Banks: …and Xavier Reid.
Cheers with a decidedly sound of boos.
Banks: Now, now, guys…The champion has chosen Reid and I know if she can put her differences aside for Stable Wars, I’m glad to have him. Now, one other point of announcement. As you all know, we did not capture the Television Title for FSW. In fact, the newly crowned champion is here.
Boos ring out along the Cow Palace.
Banks: As he is a PRIME champion, he will only defend that title on PRIME. However…at this year’s WrestleFest, whoever is the Television champion WILL be defending against someone from FSW who wins the contendership on our season finale! We will bring that title home before the year’s end!
The crowd cheers loudly as Banks beams brightly as his music plays.
Jackson: Wow! Dynamite announcement from our GM! FSW could be a two championship brand by the end of the year!
Hunter: We’ll be right back with our first match after these!

Calloway: I just don’t know where he came from...
SHOW OPENER
COTTONEYE JOE
VS JAMES LARSON
VS FAITH RIVERS
DING DING DING
The match starts out with Cottoneye Joe holding his hands up and trying to ‘holler’ at Faith, who wrinkles up her nose at his gyrations and gross pointing to his ‘areas.’ James takes it all in for a seond, equally disgusted. As Joe tries to open the ropes for Faith to exit and hopefully wiggle on her way out, Larson kicks the rope Joe is sitting on, causing him to fall out of the ring. While Joe is out of the ring, Larson and Faith have a real intense match, showcasing their talents and styles. When Joe slides back in, he attempts to play spoiler by being inappropriate with his grappling of Faith. She is having none of it as she gets the upper hand and hip tosses him across the ring. As she turns around, Larson performs a Trust Fall into her, getting a two.
Faith rolls out of the ring to catch her breath while Joe slaps the taste out of Larson’s mouth. Joe proves a tough opponent when he finally gets to the wrestling part of his gameplan, hitting a few moves in a combo which almost gets him the win, except Faith breaks up the attempt.
The three finally go all out at each other, with Faith finally getting the upper hand when Larson makes a mistake and gets hung up in the ropes as Rivers hits Faithful on Joe for the win.
DING DING DING
Gordon: Your winner….FAITH RIVERRRRRRRRS!Hunter: The winner of this match was well deserved. Faith could not have performed any better.
Jackson: These three superstars left everything out on this stage, and this was only the first match!
Calloway: Where did Joe go?!
Hunter: What did we tell you earlier?
Jackson: We’ll be back!
The overhead lights dim their way down to darkness as the MacTron flares to life, distressed and faded footage of storm-born waves crashing against a dark and rocky cliff playing. A female voice rises up through the sound of the surf, her words influenced by a faint Irish Brogue.
??: She told me I was Born of Myth.
The visual of the waves gives way to black and white footage of a dark-haired woman hitting a Sling Blade-- a move she calls 'Rip Tide'--on an opponent before she hooks the leg. While she is certainly beautiful, the expression upon her features as the three is counted makes her visage a fearsome thing to behold even as the water swallows that visual, returning to that edge where ocean and land mass meet.
??: She told me I was more than this.
Another flash of in-ring action shows itself through the tumultuous water, this time of the same dark-haired woman making another opponent tap out to her version of the Cobra Death Lock--a move called simply 'Undertow'.
??: And you know what? After all this time...
Through the waves, a close-up of the woman's eyes can be seen-- so large and dark that they may almost belong to a seal rather than to a human being. They gaze into the camera unblinking, unyielding.
??: I think that she might have been right.
A final wave comes crashing down upon the camera, sending the visual to darkness. As the sound of distant waves wash over the arena, the name 'Brenna Gordon' writes itself in a swirling and ornate text. After a few seconds, it and the sound both fade… and the lights fade back to proper brightness.
MELODY MALONE
VS CHEYENNE
DING DING DING
Melody Malone gets out of the gates fast, hitting Cheyenne with everything she can in the frenetic first few minutes of the match. Cheyenne is able to throw Malone's timing off when she attempts a springboard Bulldog by tossing her to the ground. Cheyenne rolls out of the ring to gather her bearings but Melody hits her with a suicide dive. Malone showboats for a moment, telling the crowd this is why she's on the team, allowing Cheyenne to got a desperation kick to her knee. Melody was unphased by this and even starts to laugh in Cheyenne's face. Cheyenne gets unceremoniously placed back in the ring and moments later is hit with a Requiem that seems to come out of nowhere for a dominant victory. DING DING DING
Gordon: Your winner, MELODY MALONE!Calloway: That is as decisive a victory as I've seen in a while.
Jackson: Cheyenne just could not get started against FSW Stablemate Melody Malone.
Hunter: Don't go away, we still have more to go!
The cameras cut backstage into the locker room of Xavier Reid who is sitting with his cousin Tlatoani Volando and adviser Nikki Dupree...
Tlatoani Volando: Well on the bright side they said I could return to in ring action in 4-6 weeks…
Nikki Dupree: Maybe it’s time to think about a new profession Tlatoani...every time you get in that ring you get hurt…
Tlatoani Volando: Or...I just need to hit my spots...
There is a knock on the door and Lisa Goldrush peeks her head inside the locker room...
Lisa Goldrush: Xavier…you have a second…
Xavier nods and motions for her and her crew to come in...Tlatoani jumps to his feet and greets Lisa as she walks in…
Tlatoani Volando: Well hello Lisa...I’m sure you heard…
But she walks past Tlatoani and right up to Xavier...Nikki smiles and places her hand on his shoulder…
Nikki Dupree: You really are a sad little man desperate for her attention…
Lisa Goldrush: Xavier as we saw Sunday night on Prime we learned from our GM Brandon Carter Banks that with her win at Hardcore Revolution Megan Treamon or might I say Robina Hood as FSW Champion will captain Team FSW and it was announced via our GM that you have been added to that team…
Xavier Reid: Shocking right...they need me but let me ask you something...where the hell were they when I needed them…
Lisa Goldrush: I don’t quite understand….
Xavier Reid: Where was Brandon Carter Banks and the FSW at Uprising #009...when my shot at the FSW Championship was on the line...my main event spot for Hardcore Revolution was TAKEN from me by our then champion...where was Brandon Carter Banks and the FSW to step in and do what’s right…
Lisa Goldrush: It was a No DQ match Xavier…
Xavier Reid: Funny...so I get fucked because they didn’t have the foresight to see something like this happening...wasn’t our GM who flipped his shit when Annabelle simply walked out to the ring...bitched holy hell that I screwed Smokey Jones...to the point where he was granted another match right after I represented the FSW inside the Insanity Cage against every other EWC Champion...so where was he this time...he saw what happened...he saw Smokey get up and take me out of the match and he did NOTHING….
Lisa Goldrush: His hands were tied Xavier…
Xavier Reid: BULLSHIT...he could have made the main event a Three-way match...he’s the damn GM but he decided to sit there and do nothing...yet now he calls on me...to be apart of a team for the brand that turned their back on me...that didn’t give two shits about me two weeks ago...yet now they need me...they want me…
Lisa Goldrush: It’s a honor to be apart of Team FSW...each and every member of this roster that was passed over would change places with you in a heartbeat…
Xavier Reid: Of course they would...I have a fucking career here in the FSW while they don’t...they are jerking the curtain each and every week trying to get noticed...of course they would jump at the chance for my spot but you know why BCB didn’t add their name to the list...why Megan didn’t pick them...because they want to FUCKING WIN...they don’t want to be fodder for Brawl and Rampage...they don’t want to be passed by Prime...so they walk right by them as if they are invisible and come to me to make damn sure this team isn’t the laughing stock of the EWC...and expect me to just forget what happened and be a ‘team’ guy…
Lisa Goldrush: Well you are facing another team member here tonight…
Xavier Reid: Oh yes...Mr. Candice Turner...let me ask you something...where is his loyalty going to be if it comes down to say me and him verse his wife Candy...hell take me out of the equation and say Candy is all that’s standing in the way from him and Megan claiming the win at StableWars...you put someone loyal to Team Prime on our team and why...because you see him as a Future Star here in the EWC...that’s fine...I wonder how you will view him after tonight…
Xavier looks away from Lisa and right into the camera…
Xavier Reid: Robbie when I saw your name next to mind my only motivation was to send a loud clear message to your wife...I wanted you to be an example for what’s coming for her...and trust me I’m still going to send that message to her...but I also want to show Brandon Carter Banks and the rest of the FSW that there is no other future that doesn’t include me...I know what I am now...I saw Megan...who broke the record for longest title reign go most of 2018 without getting her champion’s rematch...I know my name isn’t going to be called anytime soon...it’s not what they do here in FSW...but if they want me to be the gatekeeper to that title...like Megan was...I’ll make damn sure nobody gets past me...I will make damn sure the FSW doesn’t have a viable challenger to that title and then when they call on me...I’LL PASS...I’ll do nothing just like they did when I should have had my shot...it starts here tonight...with you Robbie...I know they see you as someone that could one day be the FSW Champion...and what a cute little story it would be...the first family of the EWC...but when I look at you I see a man here because of his wife’s success...because who she is and not what you have done...yeah you have won a few matches here on Uprising but it hasn’t been against anyone worth a damn...but they have been building you up...making these fans think you are a contender to that championship...so it’s my job here tonight to show them you aren’t…
Xavier looks back at Lisa…
Xavier Reid: Line them up in front of me...bring all your ‘contenders’ and put them in front of me BCB and I’ll send them back to you broken and unworthy of the spot you want to bestow on them...and know a simple fact...I am here for one reason and one reason only at this point...to destroy the future of the FSW….
Xavier tosses a towel over the camera
THE MERCENARY
VS STITCHES
DING DING DING
Despite the fact that the Mercenary held a significant height and weight advantage over Stitches, the clown didn't show a single ounce of hesitation in locking up with his opponent once the bell rang. It didn't take long for the Lonely Wolf to get the advantage, all but hurling his opponent back into the ropes in a show of strength that earned cheers from the crowd... and a maniacal laugh from the clown, who snagged the ropes with his arm to keep from rebounding off of them. There was some not-so-friendly banter before the two locked up anew, and this time the Mercenary was smart enough to keep his mits on Stitches, eventually backing him into the corner and holding him there before delivering a chop that rang out through the arena and caused the clown to wince. Such was the first of many hard-hitting blows that led to Stitches collapsing to the mat... and once he was there? The Mercenary connected with a grounded corner stomp that he then followed up with a running knee to the face! Lifting Stitches to a vertical base, the Mercenary took his opponent down the Hard Road before attempting the pin!
Stitches kicked out at two, though he seemed to be more out of it than normal afterward.
The Mercenary was quick to return to the offensive, driving a few more blows into Stitches' face before the referee forced the break. As the Mercenary argued with the official, Stitches got back to a vertical base... and as soon as the ref was out of the way? Stitches was on his opponent like a rabid dog, raining down blows that staggered the bigger man, but didn't quite bring him down. Undeterred, the clown shifted his focus from body blows to the Mercenary's legs, eventually managing to bring the larger man down to a knee. As soon as that happened, Stitches was truly able to unleash some offense on the Mercenary, the flurry ending with his take on the Future Shock DDT that he calls the Sound of Silence!
When he got the three-count, Stitches grinned as the crowd booed him being victorious once more.
DING DING DING
Gordon: The winner by pinfall....STITCHES!ROBBIE RAYDER
VS XAVIER REID
DING DING DING
The match starts out with a lengthy feeling out process, Robbie matching Xavier for each lock up, reversal and reset. The crowd shows its appreciation and when Robbie goes for the Strength test, Reid just kicks him in the midsection and starts the match proper. For a few minutes, Reid tries to put on a wrestling clinic, but it seems Rayder has every move scouted. It's only when he hits an X-ploder that Reid seems to get the upper hand. He wears Rayder down but every time he goes for a pin, he never gets more than a one count.
About twelve minutes into the match, Robbie is set up to take an X-Ecution but instead he powers through it and holds Reid in the air before being suplexed across the ring. Robbie gets his second wind and finally gets Reid into position for his Shock and Awe bit before he gots the third kick, Reid rolls out of the ring and decides to take a count out victory, mooning to Robbie that he'll see him at Stable Wars.
DING DING DING
Gordon: The winner by count out....ROBBIE AIRE RAYDER!Jackson: Reid deciding to live to fight another day.
Calloway: Smart man. Can't break your future partner and expect to win. Good man, Xavier!
Hunter: Whatever. Anyway, coming up next, oue main event!
