The image opens backstage after Thunder. There is the hustle and frantic activity as the EWC stage hands begin the process of deconstruction. Amy Davis of the WWWN walks into the right side of the screen. She looks around for a moment and then back to the camera. Motioning with her head, she bids the camera to follow her. Moving into an area with a little less human traffic she turns to the camera, raising the mic to her smiling mouth.
”Good evening wrestling fans! Tonight I am backstage at EWC Thunder. The event has ended,”
Amy looks down at her watch and then back up to the camera.
”maybe ten minutes ago. I am standing outside of the medical facility in the Staples Center awaiting the release of Gabrielle Visconty.”
A male nurse pokes his head out the medical facility door while Amy is talking. She notices him and quickly asks him a question.
”Excuse me, can you tell me about the condition of Gabrielle Visconty?”
The male nurse blinks as he stares at her for a moment. He nods his head slowly and slips back inside. Amy turns and flashes as nervous smile at the camera.
”He didn't seem like the brightest crayon in the pack... I hope he isn't part of the medical staff. Anyway, there were a lot of incredible matches at EWC's first ever Thunder show. We saw a lot of really great matches tonight, but it seems the match that pulled the MVP of the night, not to mention that beautiful Lexus LC 500h, was Visconty Vs Malone. Not only did Melody secure the win, she also was awarded the MVP bonus.”
The doors to the medical facility open and the same male nurse we saw earlier rolls what appears to be Gabrielle Visconty out in a wheelchair. Gabi is still in her wrestling gear, but her head is completely wrapped in bandages and there is an IV attached to her. Her blue eyes looks hazily up at Amy as she is rolled towards her.
”Oh my God! What is wrong? I thought all you had was a little cut under your chin?”
”Whiplash, a mild concussion, and a mandibular fracture... And on top of it all, she'll probably lose her right pinky toenail.”
The male nurse informs Amy.
”What?! You... That doesn't make any sense!”
Amy sputters as she looks from the nurse back to Gabi. Gabi nods her head slowly and mumbles something.
”Waft wuf fweekin awfufm...”
Amy puts the mic down closer to Gabi's bandaged face.
”Say that again, Gabi. I don't think we made out what you said.”
Gabi rolls her head back and moans excessively loud. Amy looks back up to the male nurse, extremely confused look on her face.
”Is she medicated?”
About that time Gabi leaps up out of the wheelchair, causing Amy to squeak and tense up. Gabi grabs Amy around the mid section and begins hopping up and down.
”WOOOHOOO! I had ya going there.”
Gabi cackles crazily as she lets go of Amy and begins pulling the bandage off her head. Amy stands there with a look of confusion on her face that slowly fades over to a frown. As Gabi finishes pulling off her bandage, it can be seen that there is a band-aid taped just under her chin. Gabi pulls the IV out of her arm, which has no needle in it, and sticks the tube in the side of her mouth while pulling the bag off the holder on the wheelchair. Gabi high fives the male nurse before he chuckles and rolls off with the wheelchair.
”I paid him $20 to help me pull that off.”
Gabi grins as she speaks, then sucks on the IV tube. Amy raises and eyebrow at her, her face showing slight disgust. Gabi smirks as pulls the IV tube out of her mouth and waves it at Amy.
”It's water, ya crackhead.”
”Why would you do something like that?”
”I heard your big mouth flapping while they were putting the finishing touches on my 'career-ending-injury', and I figured I would have a little fun... It's the Visconty way.”
Gabi laughs before popping the tube back into her mouth. Amy nods her head slowly at Gabi.
”I should of saw that coming. You are definitely Kirk Visconty's daughter.”
”Damn right I am.”
Gabi replies quickly, grinning.
”I take it you are here to talk to me about my 'loss' tonight. Well, the Siren of Corn brought her 'A' game. All I can say is she was the better woman tonight... But tomorrow is a different game. I am sure our paths will cross again.”
”How is the chin?”
”Not even a single stitch. I've cut my legs worse shaving... And that gutless chode-nugget they call a referee about puked up his Staple Center hotdog over it. If he wouldn't have been wretching at the side of the ropes like some damn sissy, I might have got a 3 count with that pin attempt. But I am not gonna play the 'would-of-could-of-should-of' game. This is what the sport is all about. I'll just put that little bit of information about Mr. Summers in the old toolbag for later use.”
Gabi winks to Amy as she finishes speaking. Amy begins to speak and stops as Gabi slurps on the IV tube noisily.
”Can you please stop doing that?”
”It's water.”
”It's grossing me out. Seriously.”
Gabi pulls the tube out of her mouth and tosses the bag on the floor. Amy sighs heavily as she composes herself to continue.
”Happy now?”
”Thank you. Now back to your match tonight, how do you feel this reflects on you?”
”It doesn't reflect bad on me at all. I came in and put the #1 contender for the 'whatever-the-hell' title to the limits, and damn near won. Now if she would have came in there and mopped the ring with my face I would have a different song to sing. On my way out of the ring I was a little taken back by the support the fans gave me. I expected some boos and jeering as I made the walk to the back... But it never came. That tells me the fans liked what they saw. To give Melody that much of a fight, to make our match landed her with the MVP of the show, it speaks volumes for our match and my performance.”
Gabi replies with pride in her voice.
”I agree. What is next for Gabi Vee?”
”I am pushing to get booked at the year opening FSW event. I don't know how the cards will fall rolling into 2019, but I can tell you that I will make my mark on this company next year. Bank on that.”
Gabi smirks at Amy before she starts to walk away. Amy watches her walk off for a moment before turning back to the camera.
”This is Amy Davis with WWWN. Good night and Happy New Years!”
The image fades out to a highlight clips from Thunder, beginning with the carrier pigeon landing on the announcers table.
