Scene opens in a dark and mysterious location. In the background we faintly see the spines of books lining a wall. The Collector is present. We see only a quarter of his face.
Collector: I have been greatly misunderstood. I only wanted what was best for Criterion. For the EWC. For professional wrestling. And for her.
The camera leans away from the collector and we see an 8x10 photograph of a young woman in wrestling gear.
Collector: Antoni, Yeshwa, and my Mondo think they have moved on from me. I have allowed them to think this. My contracts are iron clad. They would be buried in the courts right now if I so chose. It's time that my children came home. And learned about their sister. It's time I reveal the truth. About The Collector. And so I shall, to bring my family back together. Next week everyone will know the truth and my collection can be whole once more.
The camera fades as The Collector walks from frame leaving the shadowy bookshelf in focus until we go dark.
X-DIVISION RULES
Damage
VS Mondo
VS Mondo
Aiello: Here we go folks, our first match of the evening and it’s a X-Division match! Damage and Maniac Mondo will yet again be tearing it up. Damage came out on top nearly a month ago when these two met.
Carter: It’s Magnificent Mondo now actually.
Bennett: Do your job properly Joe or you’ll be replaced. Brawl is the A show in the EWC, we can’t afford weak links on the announce team.
Stroup: The following match is an X-Division rules match, Introducing first... From Detroit, Michigan, weighing at 326 pounds and standing at 7 feet tall... he is the Untamed Demon, DAAAAAMAAAAAAGEEEEEE!
As the “DAMAGE” by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion hits all lights go flickering like its lightning in different colors till the folloing lyrics,
“Get out yer calculator, slide rule
No matter which way you fold or bend; turn Well, you never gonna top us
You never gonna beat us...
Can ya dig my band?”
Damage makes his way when the guiter plays. He is seen wearing black tank tops with words "DAMAGE" printed below his chest on the tank tops along with the long black leather pants and a black leather sleeveless jacket over his tank top with the black coolers for his eyes. He walks slowly down the ramp as the lyrics goes,
“Ungh!
Come on! (The Blues Explosion)
Damage! (Git down...)
What it isn't?
Damage! That's right! (The Blues Explosion)
Takin' orders from a higher power...
Ladies & gentlemen, I got that bad feelin'
But right now, owoooh...
We gonna feel so good...
Please'ah, please'ah, a'feel good; and break it down!
Ungh!
Damage! (Git down...)
At's right!
At's right, 'cuz we're so good lookin'!
Damage!”
Damage doesn’t shakes the viewer’s hands who tries to reach their hands towards him. He is focused. He climbs up the steps and looks the people around the arena as he walks to the center of the apron, he slowly turns his attention to the center of the ring as he presses the top rope down and gets inside the ring by stepping over the rope. He walks to the center of
"C'mon...
Damage!
Get out da way!
With yer elegant 2...
Damage!”
Damage raises his both hands as the pyros goes out from all four turnbuckles.
Aiello: Here comes Damage, the big guy is looking to bounce back from his loss to Darius last week.
Carter: He came this close to booking his place in the main event tonight to fight Curtis Mars for the X-Division Championship but it just wasn’t to be.
Stroup: Now making his way to the ring, from The House on the Edge of the Park he’s standing at an impressive 6’10 and weighing in tonight at an astonishing 344lbs...THIS IS MAGNIFICENT MOOONNDDOO!
Dreamweaver by Crowbar hits and Magnificebt Mondo comes slowing to the stage, spinning in circles to show himself off. He circles the ring, climbs to the apron, and enters over the top rope. As he enters the center of the squared a circle a spotlight shines down on him.
Carter: Since leaving the collector behind Mondo has had a new lease on life, he’s no longer insane.
Bennett: I’ll be the judge of that! Still looks pretty nuts to me.
DING DING DING
The two big men get in each other’s face, staring each other down. Damage raises his arms in the air, challenging Mondo to a test of strength. Mondo raises his arms and just before he lock hands with Damage he kicks him hard in the private area. Damage bends over in pain as Mondo picks him up and body slams him. The crowd as impressed by this show of strength. Mondo picks Damage up and throws him over the top rope, then he slowly climbs over the ropes and follows suit. Damage gets to his feet and rushes Mondo, but Mondo dives out of the way and Damage runs head first into the ring post. Mondo runs at Damage and catches him with a big boot right in the face, Damage falls onto the barrier next to the time keepers area. Damage holds onto the barrier to keep himself up, Mondo rushes him again, tackling him hard as they both break through barrier the barrier. Aiello: This match has started at one hundred miles an hour! Mondo is on fire here.
Bennett: He really is magnificent. Say it Joe! Sayyyyy ittttttt....
Aiello: I’m just going to ignore you for the rest of the show.
Mondo is first to his feet, grabs a handful of Damages hair but Damage turns around, and catches Mondo on the side of the head with the ring bell! Mondo falls to the floor as Damage pins....

THR.....Mondo kicks out!!!
Damage shakes his head in disbelief, getting to his feet he grabs the ref by the scruff of the neck and shouts, telling him that was a three count. The ref tries to plead his case but Damage throws him across the floor.
Carter: Damage will get a fine for that!
Mondo, still on the floor, is able to grab a steel chair. He stabs the chair into Damages stomach. Damage falls to his knees as Mondo pulls himself to his feet. Mondo smashes the chair hard over Damages back. Damage yells in pain as Mondo raises the chair and repeatedly smacks the chair over Damages back again and again and again much to the delight of the blood thirsty Phoenix crowd. Mondo then unfolds the chair and places Damages head inbetween it.
Aiello: What is Mondo thinking about here? This is nasty!
Carter: Mondo remembers what Damage did to him last time around and he isn’t about to let that happen again.
Bennett: This time around it’s different, this time around it’s magnificent.
Mondo screams something in Damages face then grabbing his hair he runs Damage full force into the ring post. The chair hits the ring post first and then smashes into Damages throat as he falls to the floor in agony. Mondo smirks and twirls around with his arms raised in the air. Damage pulls the chair from his head and holds his throat as he gasps for air. Mondo lifts the ring apron up and pulls out a table and slides it into the ring, he then grabs Damage and slides him into the ring before following him. Mondo hits Damage with an over hand chop, and he then sets the table up in the corner. As Mondo tries to picks Damage up, Damage musters up some energy and low blows Mondo. Mondo stumbles back in pain, Damage hits him with a throat thrust and then he pulls off a DDT on Mondo. Both men are on the mat, as Damage is still holding his throat.
Aiello: Damage fighting back here.
Carter: I think the damage might have already been done.
Aiello: No pun intended.
Damage and Mondo both get to there feet at the same time and both start to exchange big right hands. Damage grabs Mondo by the throat and tries to lift him but Mondo pokes Damage in the eyes. Damage let’s Mondo go and stumbles back towards the table in the corner. Mondo rushes at Damage, and tackles him straight through the table!
Aiello: That’s a measure of revenge from the last time when Damage put Mondo through the table!
Mondo picks Damage up and hits him with The Justifier, he then pins him....

Mondo stares down Damage as he raises his arms in victory.
Aiello: That was a battle and a half!
Bennett: No, that was... MAGNIFI....
Carter: Shut up Steve!
Aiello: Mondo has put himself in contention for an X-Division title contendership with a win like that! We will be right back with you after this break.
We move to a commercial break.
Backstage, we see Cyrus Black in his locker room, getting ready for his match later with Antoni Malietoa. The EWC International title is laying over the back of a chair next to him. Cyrus is in the middle of lacing up one of his boots when a hand reaches in from off camera to grab the International title. Cyrus immediately looks over and up to see who would dare touch his title that he has fought for. The camera pans out and up to see that the hand belongs to Antoni Malietoa. Cyrus immediately stands up to look at Antoni face to face. There is a very awkward silence as both men just stare at each other.
Antoni: I knew that would get your attention, Cyrus
Another silence. Antoni holds the International title up.
Antoni: I wanted to be the first person to come to you after last week, but because of Stalker i had to spend 45 minutes getting stitches instead.
Another silence.
Antoni: Last week you fought with honor. You could have just as easily walked in and barreled through me without blinking an eye. I was running on fumes, and if it had been anyone else I might have stood a chance but -
Cyrus cuts Antoni off.
Cyrus: ...but you didn’t stand a chance. No-one did, because as i said I wasn’t leaving Brawl without my title.
Cyrus takes the title from Antoni and puts it over his shoulder.
Cyrus: Last week you proved you’ve got guts and heart, and you deserved the praise you got for the fight you brought to the ring but don’t think for a second that I trust you. For all I know this whole Criterion break up and the collector being gone thing is just a ploy, maybe your two pals are waiting in the wings to jump me.
Antoni laughs to himself.
Antoni: You obviously know nothing about me,kid. I came here to thank you and show some respect, but it’s obvious that behind all that showboating and “let’s have fun” positivity bullshit there is just an asshole waiting. Your title? You mean the one you never fought for? The one you sat by the sidelines and called a match for becuase you were too scared to compete? That’s “your” title? No kid, that's the EWC International title and you better believe that it belongs to NO ONE. As far as Criterion and The Collector are concerned...we’ve all said that just because the guy in the suit is gone doesn’t mean we aren’t brothers. Just means we’re going our own way for now. I don’t fight without honor. Like I said earlier this week, ain’t no strings on me kid.
Cyrus: See you say that you fight with honor but I see a little bit of darkness behind those big green eyes of yours. I suppose it takes a while to wash the stench of the collector away. I guess we will find out tonight what you’re really made of big guy. And you’re right, I am an asshole.
Cyrus winks at Antoni and turns to leave, just as he opens the dressing room door he turns to Antoni.
Cyrus: Oh and don’t touch my title again.
Silence.
Antoni: Next time you visit my homeland, get the damn culture right. I'm Samoan, not Tongan.
Antoni watches Cyrus exit through the door. The camera fades to black.
FATAL FIVEWAY MATCH
Greg Samuel
VS Owensby Smith
VS Archer Barrett
VS Dr. Psycho
VS D-Max
VS Owensby Smith
VS Archer Barrett
VS Dr. Psycho
VS D-Max
Aiello: Next up we’ve got a fatal five way! An always messy and always entertaining match, so many superstars looking to break out from the crowd and make a name for themselves.
Carter: I can’t wait for this one, you’ve got the Doctor, you’ve got the main attraction Greg Samuel, you’re got the man without a plan Owensby Smith and I’m especially excited to see the debutant Archer Barrett in action.
Bennett: Don’t forget about the ladies man D-Max! He’ll steal your girlfriend Carter... if you had one.
Stroup: Our next match is a fatal fiveway and it’s scheduled for one fall... Introducing first....wrestling out of Austin, Texas, weighing in at 225 pounds, he is “The Maine Attraction” GREG… SAMMUELLL...
The main riff of ‘Mean Demeanor by Run the Jewels hits, and without skipping a beat, Greg Samuel breaks out onto the stage. Immediately, the crowd boos the arrogant wrestler as he makes way down to the ring.
Stroup: and his opponent...From Baltimore Maryland Standing 5 Feet 9 Inches Tall Weighing in at 200 Lbs He is the Surgeon of the Squared Circle: DOCTOOOOR PSYYYYCHO!!!
the beginning Guitar riff of the song hits the speakers and after finishing a lightning bolt strikes the stage creating a bright flash when it does. As the song continues Dr.Psycho rises up from the smoke left from the bolt strIke and slowly turns around revealing his face from behind a plague doctor mask with top hat and cane he makes a slow march to the ring stepping over the ropes and sitting in a random corner.
D and there opponent....On his way to the ring, weighing one-hundred-and-eighty-pounds, from Nashua, New Hampshire, please welcome 'The Man Without A Plan' ... OWENSBY ... SMITH!"
"Tonight" by Seether starts to play and a modest pyrotechnic show begins. Owensby Smith runs out on stage with his valet, Sara Michaels, in tow. Owensby hops, jumps, and skips down the ramp with a high-five for every fan along the way. He does a complete circle around the ring and heads back up the ramp to meet Sara. Her hand in his, the two head back down toward the ring. On the ring apron, now, Owensby climbs up on the turnbuckle, facing outward at the fans, and then back-flips into the ring. Punching the air and bouncing around like a kid hyped up on sugar, Owensby riles up the fans in preparation for his upcoming match.
Stroup: and there opponent....
The generic white lights coating the arena immediately transform into several variations of violet, crimson, and midnight blue tones. The darkened colored lights flicker and continue to shower the heads of the audience members. Sporadic hoots and hollers are heard as fans begin realizing who's preparing to grace them with his presence.
'Whiskey in the Jar' by Metallica begins to play. The hard guitar riff pounds through the sound system at a near deafening volume and is met with an equally deafening roar from those in attendance.
Stroup: Making his way to the ring weighing in at two hundred thirty-three pounds and hailing from Boulder, Colorado ...
Jessica Stroup deliberately pauses for a moment to add a layer of dramatic flair and times the musical post.
Stroup: It's the Straight Shooter. He is Archer Barrett!
Barrett aggressively pushes aside the curtains and enters the arena with a familiar look of purpose. Focused primarily on the objective, he intentionally aims his strut down the middle of the aisle to avoid high fives and handshakes from both sides of the guardrails.
A slight smile can be seen forming at the corner of his mouth as he arrives to center stage and ascends the steel steps. He maneuvers himself between the ropes and commences with his ritual of crouching beside the nearest corner. All the fans receive in return for their cheers is a mere head nod from Barrett. It's quick enough that no one blinks to ensure they witness his acknowledgement.
Barrett extends his chest and rolls his shoulders to stretch the muscles. He closes his eyes, anticipates the sound of the bell, and prepares for battle.
Stroup: And there opponent.... Making his way to the ring. Weighing in at 275 lbs standing 6'1" He is The Sexiest Man Alive, The Ladies Man, D-MAX!!!
The lights dim purple and pink as red smoke begins to fill the stage area. Suddenly, 'Put It On' by Big L blasts as Pyros hit. We see the hype man Lil Crippler come bouncing out and claps as 'The Ladies Man' D-Max slowly steps out from the back. D-Max stands at center stage with his hands on his hips all sassy-like while Lil Crippler sprays him with "Sex Panther" cologne. Lil Crippler claps his hands and smacks D-Max's chest and yells as he hypes him up. D-Max nods his head and slowly begins his walkway strut down the ramp.
Lil Crippler continues hyping up D-Max as they walk to the ring. They walk up the steps, Lil Crippler steps into the ring and sits on the middle rope as he pushes up the top rope for D-Max to step in. D-Max stands in his corner, hands on his hips as he takes his shirt off and waits for the match to begin.
DING DING DING
As soon as the bell rings all five superstars start brawling with each other in the middle of the ring. Archer Barrett hits a running bulldog on Owensby Smith, sending him rolling out of the ring. Greg Samuel and D-Max double kick Dr Psycho in the gut. They hook Dr Psycho up and double suplex him right over the top rope and out of the ring. D-Max catches Samuel with a super kick. Samuel rolls out of the ring. D-Max turns and comes face to face with Barrett. D-Max talks smack in Barrett’s face, as Barrett stares at him with a wide eyed expression and a grin on his face. D-Max slaps Barrett across the face. Barrett lets out a psychotic laugh and starts slaps himself as D-Max backs away from him.
Bennett: What is wrong with this new guy Archer Barrett? He’s scaring me.
D-Max rushes at Barrett and tries to clothesline him. Barrett spins around him and catches D-Max with a back elbow to the side of the head. D-Max stumbles into the ring ropes. Archer gives D-Max a few sharp kicks to the legs as D-Max falls to the mat. Owensby Smith is back in the ring and up the top rope, he jumps towards Barrett but Barrett is one step ahead as he catches Owensby mid-air with a European uppercut. D-Max sees his opportunity, he charges at Barrett and catches him with a claymore kick. D-Max pins Barrett....

TWO.... kick out by Barrett!
Carter: Ohh D-Max thought he had it there with that Claymore kick.
Dr Psycho is back in the ring, he catches D-Max with a flying spin kick. Samuel is behind Dr.Psycho, he grabs the Doc and hits a snap DDT on him. Owensby is up now, he runs at Samuel and smashes him with a single running leg dropkick. As Owensby stands up and Barrett is on him, he hip tosses Owensby to the floor then proceeds to drop multiple elbow drops on him as the crowd count along with him. After he reaches his tenth elbow drop on Owensby, Barrett leans across the ropes and sticks his tongue out at the camera.
Aiello: This is non stop fast paced action, I just don’t know who’s going to come out on top here!
D-Max is quickly over to Barrett, he tries to roll the straight shooter up for a pin but Barrett keeps rolling and comes back on his feet. Once on his feet Barrett kicks D-Max straight in the face. Dr Psycho comes from behind Barrett, but Barrett senses him and turns around hitting the Doc with a short arm clothesline. Samuel is up next as he charges at Barrett who again sees the danger and connects with a running knee strike straight to Samuels face. Owensby then grabs Barrett from behind and tries to lift him up but Barrett spins around Owensby and throws him back for a German suplex.
Carter: Archer Barrett is kicking ass here!
Barrett: He’s still weird.
D-Max is on the top rope, he hits Owensby with a five star frog splash. As D-Max gets up Barrett is clapping and nodding his head. D-Max gets in his face and pushes him. Barrett grabs D-Max and throws him off of the ropes. As D-Max comes back he throws himself at Barrett for a spear but Barrett quickly rolls out of the way and D-Max ends up hitting Samuel with the spear. Barrett runs at D-Max and knees him in the back of the head. Barrett then grabs Samuels legs and signals for his finisher, he locks the Eagle Eye Leglock in.
Aiello: Barrett has the submission locked in! It could be all over.
Dr Psycho comes flying into the ring and breaks up the submission. Barrett gets up and hits the Hungry Hunter on Dr Psycho. D-Max grabs Barrett from behind and runs him shoulder first straight into the corner ring post. D-Max then quickly moves over to Samuel and locks on in The Who Let the Dogs Out. Samuel taps out straight away!
DING DING DING
Stroup: Here is your winner via submission.... D-MAXXXXX!!!!!
D-Max gets up and celebrates as Archer Barrett gets to his feet, D-Max gets in his face. The ref has to separate the two. D-Max laughs and slides out of the ring. Barrett watches him go up the ramp.
Barrett: Yes! The sexiest man alive gets the win!
Carter: The what??
Barrett: That’s his nickname, keep up Max.
Aiello: D-Max gets an all important victory tonight but I was impressed with the newcomer Archer Barrett! We will be right back with you after this short break.
We move to a commercial break.
We open backstage in front of a Monday Night Brawl banner. Yeshwa is standing in frame already in ring gear.
Yeshwa: Last week I was cheated. Dominic Sanders had to resort to a cheap shot. A low blow. He couldn't defeat me on his own merit. The Wanderlust King was going to defeat the Undisputed Champion. And Sanders proved to everyone watching that he really is a chump. So instead of rematch and a chance at taking him down once and for all I have a match instead with Kendrick Kross. Who by and large isn't Dominic Sanders. K2 I saw your promo earlier this week, and my it was a sad attempt at getting ready for battle. What is it with everyone still talking about The Collector like it's relevant? Kendrick not only are you misinformed you're just not in my league. I am in the upper echelon. I am the guy that Dominic Sanders had to cheat to defeat. So I want to make it crystal clear to all of the EWC. I have made it my personal duty to get Sanders in that ring. I will not rest until he faces me again. As far as I am concerned each and every opponent I face will in fact be Dominic Sanders. K2 I am going to make a shining example out of you. I am going to leave you face up in that ring staring at the rafters, for everyone to take notice. That I am the next big thing in EWC and that I am going for you Dominic.
Yeshwa walks away briskly and the feed fades to black
TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Stephanie Matsuda
VS Nina Samson
VS Gabrielle Visconty
VS Nina Samson
VS Gabrielle Visconty
Aiello: Welcome back! We've had an amazing show so far and our next match promises to only continue the trend.
Carter: No doubt! We have newcomer Stephanie Matsuda, raising star Nina Samson, and the Angel – Gabrielle Visconty.
Aiello: Nina has been on a pretty good run since she has ventured out on her own. Not to ever be over looked, we have Gabi Vee looking to get her first as a Brawl roster member. Top it all off with Stephanie Matsuda and this should be an extremely dynamic match.
Bennett: Hopefully... Nina is on a lucky streak bigger than Gabi's lucky streak when she made it to the Television Championship.
Carter: Call it luck, but Gabi Vee is never an easy opponent.
Aiello: The same can be said for Nina Samson. I would expect nothing less out of Stehpanie Matsuda.
Bennett: Aw... You guys need to hug. That was almost inspirational.
Pink strobe lights start floating around the arena as "Commitment" by Leann Rimes suddenly bursts through the speakers. Nina Samson steps out onto the stage with her cousin standing next to her. She waves toward the audience while walking down the ramp.
Stroup: Our next match of the evening is a Triple Threat match... coming to the ring first, from Dallas, Texas and weighing in at 122 pounds and standing 5' 3” tall – NINA SAMSON!!
Nina stops at the bottom of the ramp. Looks over at her cousin before sliding into the ring. She waves again before turning towards the stage.
Carter: Nina looks ready to go.
Aiello: This young lady has impressed everyone with her solo run, let's see if she can keep the winning streak alive.
Bennett: Is it too late to go to the restroom?
Stroup: Making her way to the ring! Being accompanied by Monica Vaughan! From Brooklyn, NY! Weighing in at 132 pounds and standing 5' 7” tall, ”The War Queen” Stephanie Matsuda!!
“Let’s Go” by Run the Jewels plays as Stephanie Matsuda walks out dressed in her signature black fitted cap and a bandanna around her face. Trailed by manager Monica Vaughan, Matsuda walks on stage and crouches low, getting ready for her match.
Stephanie and Monica walk down the ramp, their eyes fixated on the ring. At the bottom of the ramp, Matsuda runs and slides into the ring. She takes a moment to run the ropes and throws her hat into the crowd. She then climbs the nearest turnbuckle and pulls down her bandanna as she stares into the crowd. She then jumps down and prepares for her match.
Aiello: Stephanie has held many titles in her career, one can only wonder at this point if she has her sights set on any EWC gold at this point.
Bennett: Now that is a talented woman.
Carter: I, and I don't say this often, would have to agree with you on that, Bennett.
”Oh Lord” by In This Moment hits the sound system as the lights in the arena dim. A single spotlight shines on the entrance way... But no one appears.
Carter: Odd... Where is Gabrielle Visconty?
Bennett: Probably hiding backstage.
Aiello: What is going on behind us?
The announcer's turn around to spot Gabi Vee walking down through the crowd towards the ring. She hops over the guard railing to climb up onto the announcer's table. She raises her arms above her head as she turns around to face the crowd, grinning out to them.
Aiello: Unusual entrance from Gabrielle Visconty.
Bennett: Get off the table, ya son-o-bitch!!
Stroup: Now making her way to the ring, from Honolulu, Hawaii, weighing in at 118 pounds and standing 5' 4” tall, “The Angel” Gabrielle Visconty!!
Gabi leaps from the announcer's table to the ring apron. She hangs off the top ropes, pulls her hat from her head, and throws it at Bennett, hitting him in the face. Gabi slips through the ring and eyes her opponents.
Bennett: That bitch!
Carter: I think you asked for that.
Bennett: All I asked was for her to get off the table. That was unprovoked. I'm talking to Spartan after the event. There will be a fine laid down, I am sure of it.
Aiello Good luck with that, Bennett. Now that the wrestlers have all made it to the ring, it is time to get underway!
DING DING DING
Gabi darts across the ring and straight into lock up with Stephanie. Gabi twists her to the side as she begins to become over powered by Stephanie. Stephanie backs Gabi into the corner and cocks her arm back as Gabi laughs and then drops to her butt, catching Stephanie by surprise a brief moment before Nina slams into Stephanie from behind with a missile drop kick. Stephanie slams into the turnbuckle and staggers back out. Gabi hops up to her feet and springboards off with a flying knee to send Stephanie to the mat. Gabi turns as Nina is quickly back to her feet and they slowly start to circle each other.
Carter: Heads up move by Gabi to start the match off.
Aiello: I would say that was Gabi testing the water, so to say.
Bennett: I would say she is delaying the inevitable. I hope Stephanie kicks her teeth out.
Both Nina and Gabi are keeping one eye on Stephanie as they slowly circle. Gabi feints in on Nina and Nina over reacts, expecting an attack. Gabi slides under the bottom rope and out of the ring. Nina turns as Stephanie moves in. They lock up in the center of the ring. Stephanie starts to dominate the exchange and lands a brisk European uppercut that is immediately followed up with a belly to belly suplex.
Aiello: What is Gabi doing?
Bennett: I bet she is going to hide under the ring.
Carter: Gabi has a ladder!
Stephanie springs back to her feet and quickly looks for Gabi, and spots her pulling a 15' ladder out from under the ring. A slight smile crosses her face as she turns her attention back to Nina, who has started to get back to her feet. Stephanie steps in and fires off a haymaker that Nina ducks under and sets in on Stephanie with a Right Jab, Left Hook, Right Cross, Spinning Roundhouse kick. Stephanie is rocked by the sudden flurry of attacks. Nina whips Stephanie into the ropes and follow her in with a diving cross body block. Nina rolls her up for the pin attempt.

Carter: Heads up move by Stephanie Matsuda!
Bennett: Come on, she isn't going to get beat that fast. This girl is a damn multi champion!
Stephanie grabs the bottom rope to break the count. Gabi has set the 15' ladder up on the side of the ring and is sliding back into the ring. Nina greats Gabi with a sliding knee to the head, knocking Gabi back out of the ring and right into her recently set up ladder, almost knocking it over. Nina hops up, attention still on Gabi and gets pulled into a German suplex from Stephanie. Gabi rolls back into the ring and rushes in as Stephanie is pulling Nina back up to her feet. She shoves Nina at Gabi, who easily moves out of the way but right into Stephanie's superkick.
Bennett: I told you.
Carter: Stephanie laying out a little payback for the start of the match.
Nina follows on and into the ropes, coming off with a clothesline attempt that Stephanie barely ducks under. Nina continues on and into the ropes again. Stephanie steps in and fires off another superkick that Nina barely ducks under. Nina stops on a dime and fires of another volley of right jab, left hook, right cross, spinning roundhouse kick that Stephanie catches and rips Nina into a dragon screw.
Bennett: Poetry in motion! That was perfection.
Carter: Nice dragon screw from the newcomer.
Stephanie quickly pulls Nina into a figure four leg lock attempt in the center of the ring. Right as Stephanie begins to lock it in she is kicked in the back of the head by Gabi. Gabi stomps on both Nina and Stephanie before yanking Stephanie to her feet. The two exchange knife edge chops as Nina rolls to the ropes and hops up to springboard off. Nina catches both Stephanie and Gabi with a diving clothesline. Nina is back up in a flash and heads to the ropes again. Gabi rolls towards Nina as she comes off the ropes. Nina hops over Gabi and ducks an enziguri kick from Stephanie. Nina continues on into the ropes again as Stephanie does the same. Gabi slips out of the ring and nearly runs over Monica on her way to the ladder. Stephanie comes off the ropes and spots Gabi nearly running over Monica. The momentary lapse of focus results in Nina plastering her with a spear.
Carter: Slash of Nina! What a brutal spear.
Bennett: Gabi isn't even getting counted out. What the hell is that son-o-bitch ref doing in there?!
Aiello: Look out, Gabi is going for the ladder.
Nina starts to pull Stephanie to her feet as Gabi sets the ladder on the ring apron and shoves it over and into the ring, blasting Nina on square on top of the head with a loud crack. Nina collapses as Gabi begins pushing the ladder the rest of the way into the ring. Stephanie kicks Nina in the midsection and then tries pull the ladder out of Gabi's hands. The two ladies struggle over the ladder before Stephanie shoves the ladder at Gabi, shoving her off the side of the apron, causing her to pull her end of the ladder down as she doesn't let go. Stephanie's end of the ladder flips up to smacks her in the chin. Gabi tumbles to the arena floor as she tries to dodge the falling ladder, which she fails to do, and it lands on her legs. Nina slowly gets to her feet as a thin stream of blood trickles down across her face.
Bennett: Nina looks like her head has sprouted a leak!
Aiello: Indeed it has.
Nina looks baffled for a brief moment, touching the top of her head to come away with blood on her hand. Nina's expression goes from baffled to panicked as she looks around, unsure what exactly to do. Stephanie gets to her feet slowly, blood dripping from her chin. She spots Nina wandering around in a daze and kicks her in the gut before pulling Nina into a package piledriver. Gabi shoves the ladder back into the ring as Stephanie shoves it aside before she can make the pin attempt on Nina. Gabi hops up onto the side of the ring apron as Stephanie charges in at her with a elbow smash, catching Gabi in the jaw. Gabi manages to hang on to the top rope as Stephanie grabs her by the arm holding onto the rope. Stephanie pulls her into a rolling fireman's carry slam right onto the ladder.
Aiello: Oh wow! That is going to leave a mark for sure.
Bennett: Don't bring a ladder to a wrestling match if you aren't prepared for it to be used against you.
Carter: This is getting insane.
Gabi rolls off to the side, grabbing at her lower back as Stephanie picks up the ladder and begins to set it up. Nina is slowly getting to her feet as Stephanie begins climbing the ladder. Stephanie gets to the top, sets her sights on Gabi, and comes off with a huge moonsault. Gabi spots Stephanie at the last moment and nails her with a double knee facebreaker. Stephanie reels back from the impact, flopping lifeless onto the mat. Gabi goes for the cover.

Nina desperately dives in at the last moment to shove Gabi off before the refs hand can touch the mat.
Carter: Nina with the save!
Aiello: Gabi doesn't look happy about it.
Gabi looks extremely frustrated as she gets to her feet and goes after Nina. Gabi yanks Nina to her feet and fires off a knife edge chop that Nina barely manages to duck. Nina punches Gabi in the gut and hops up, locking in an arm triangle. Gabi staggers around, desperate to stay on her feet and Nina sinks in the hold.
Carter: Crowbar Junction! Nina has got Gabi in locked in a deep, this could be it. I think Stephanie is out from the impact of that face breaker.
Bennett: I hope Gabi passes out.
Aiello: She just might. Gabi looks to be feeling the effects of the hold already.
Carter: Wait! I think Stephanie is starting to come to.
Gabi stumbles as she looks to be giving into the hold. The ref is asking Gabi if she wants to submit. Gabi shakes her head NO as Nina cracks on the hold. In pure desperation Gabi gives everything she has to turn in a circle and slam Nina into the ladder. Nina drops the hold as Gabi stumbles back to the ropes to catch herself. Stephanie gets to her feet slowly, trying to shake the cobwebs from her head. She spots Gabi hanging off the ropes and moves in on her. Stephanie grabs Gabi and attempts to haul her into a tequila sunrise, but Gabi breaks loose and springboards off the ropes with a tornado DDT. Nina charges over and delivers a running elbow smash before Gabi can go for the pin. Nina fires off a spinkick to Gabi's gut and follows it up with a roundhouse. Gabi ducks under the roundhouse and shoves Nina's leg around. Gabi hops up to hit a Nina with reverse frankensteiner. Gabi hops up and scales the corner to the top ropes. Stephanie is getting to her feet in time for Gabi to launch off with a Phoenix dragonrana. Gabi holds on for the pin.

FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE X-DIVISION RULES
Gannondorf
VS Tom Frost
VS Tom Frost
Aiello: [/b]This Phoenix crowd is HOT as we push on here on Monday Night Brawl! And we’ve got plenty more to come!
Carter: Got that right, Joe! Up next we’ve got what should amount to a good old fashioned slugfest! It’s “The Evil King” Gannondorf against Old Tom Frost in what promises to be a barnburner out here in the desert!
Bennett: Well which is it gonna be you Son o Bitch? A slugfest or a barnburner? Ah shut up, let’s get on with it! I’d rather watch these two heavy hitters than listen to you speak!
Stroup: Our next match of the evening is a falls count anywhere match...
The lights fall to black.... The Haunting Orchestral Voices sing loud as white lights positioned on the stage point upward as a cloud of white smoke fogs up and covers them and as the music plays on he descends from the rafters facing back to the camera before turning and walking slowly to the ring. He Then enters the ring stepping in over the ropes and then quietly sits himself in the corner of a turnbuckle awaiting his opponent with a menacing look and deep heavy breath taken.
Stroup: From Chicago, Illinois Standing 6'9" tall weighing in at 219 lbs...He is known as the Evil King....Gan...non...Dorf!
Aiello: Gannondorf is a lean, mean, fighting machine.
Carter: He’s about as mean as they come, Joe. He’s one of the biggest on the roster, and he’s tough as nails.
Bennett: Win or lose, Tom Frost is gonna be hurting tomorrow.
Stroup: And his opponent…
The lights dim as 'Downtown' hits over the PA. A spotlight shines on the stage, and old Tom Frost parts the curtain. He dons a well-worn suit and a loose tie beneath an old trilby hat. A lit cigarette dangles from his mouth, and he wears a mean, no-nonsense look on his face as he scans the crowd. He turns toward the ring, takes a deep drag from his cigarette, and exhales a cloud of smoke. He starts down the ramp, bobbing his head as he glares forward.
Stroup: Making his way to the ring...from Darling, Michigan...weighing in at 231 lbs...TOM FROST!
He climbs the stairs and enters the ring through the middle rope. He takes one last drag from the cigarette before flicking it away. He removes his hat, coat, tie, and shirt and hands them to an official at ringside. The music begins to fade as he finds his corner.
Aiello: Tom Frost coming off two straight matches without a win.
Carter: First the draw at Stranglemania, then the loss in the gaunlet match for the Internation Championship last week on Brawl. Guy’s off to a rough start.
Bennett: Boo hoo. If this guy wants to prove he’s worth a damn, his ass better pick up a win tonight. So far I’m not impressed.
DING DING DING
Aiello: And there’s the bell! Remember, falls count anywhere in this one!
Gannondorf and Frost close in on each other. Frost goes for a hard right, but Gannondorf dodges and lays Frost out with a lariat. He grabs Frost by the hair on his way up and hip tosses him before dropping the leg across his throat. He then lays across Frost’s chest.
Aiello: Gannondorf with the early cover!
ONE…
Aiello: But Frost gets his shoulder up at one!
Gannondorf lifts Frost up, but Frost knocks his arm away and punches him in the gut. Frost whips him against the ropes, but Gannondorf is able to duck a clothesline drop Frost with a crossbody on the rebound. Frost rolls through, and both men shoot to their feet. Frost again goes for a hard right, but Gannondorf once again dodges it before lunging forward, snatching Frost’s head between his arms, and planting Frost’s head into the mat with a DDT.
Aiello: Oof! Gannondorf with the high ground early!
Carter: He’s taking advantage of Frost’s over aggression!
Bennett: No such thing as too much aggression you dipshit, what would you know about it anyway! And look at that, Gannondorf’s not even gonna try and pin him after that!
Gannondorf lifts Frost up and drops Frost to a knee with a hard shot to the jaw. He stands Frost up and nails him with another headshot. Frost hits a knee again, and Gannondorf stands him up and whips him into the ropes, then hits a diamond cutter on the rebound. He hooks Frost’s leg.
Aiello: Gannondorf covers!

Carter: He got him!
Aiello: NO! FROST KICKED OUT!
Gannondorf slams the mat and gets in ref’s face, three fingers raised. Meanwhile Frost grabs hold of the rope and climbs to his feet. Gannondorf is fuming as he turns and snatches Frost by the hair. He goes for another DDT attempt, but Frost pushes off. Gannondorf lunges forward for a clothesline, but Frost ducks it and drills Gannondorf with a stiff shot to the kidney. He grabs his back as Frost turns him around and drills him with a shot to the gut. Frost snatches up Gannondorf, but Gannondorf fights back, and the two men trade blows and tie up before spilling over the top rope and onto the floor.
Carter: Oof! That had to hurt!
Bennett: It’s about time they left the ring.
Both men get to their feet and begin trading blows. After a few hard shots, Frost blocks a clubbing right by Gannondorf before kneeing him in the gut. Gannondorf keels over and Frost plants him with a piledriver.
Bennett: Right on the cement!
Aiello: Gannondorf is down! And now Frost with the cover!

Aiello: NO! He kicked out! How did he kick out?!
Frost lifts Gannondorf up and fakes a hard right, which Gannondorf goes to dodge. Frost then reaches back and rocks Gannondorf square in the mouth.
Carter: He got him that time!
Bennett: Damn straight.
Gannondorf stumbles backward, and Frost pursues him, landing shot after shot to the face and torso. Frost slams Gannondorf’s face against the ringpost before whipping him into the stairs. He lifts him up and lands a final blow to the gut before Frost whips into the other set of stairs. Frost walks over and kicks Gannondorf in the head a few times before lifting him up and rocking him with a hard right. Gannondorf stumbles forward and Frost snatches him by the head. He lifts him in a vertical suplex position before dropping him on his head with a Corkscrew Piledriver.

Stroup: Here is your winner...TOM FROST!
The ref raises Frost’s hand before he makes his way back up the ramp.
Aiello: And so Old Tom Frost picks up his first EWC win tonight on Monday Night Brawl.
Carter: Both of these guys fought hard and left it all in the ring. It just so happens that Tom Frost got his hand raised, but Gannondorf’s got no reason to hang his head.
Bennett: Excuse me? Guy lost the match fair and square, I’d be hanging my head. Then again, I wouldn’t have lost to this Tom Frost cat so let’s just get on with the damn show already.
Aiello: Stick around folks, we’ve got plenty more to come! We’ll be right back.

VS Kendrick Kross
VS Kendrick Kross
Aiello: This crazy night rolls on and now we’ve got two of Brawls finest locking up, Yeshwa taking on Kendrick Kross!
Carter: Both of these men are fighting tooth and nail to climb the Brawl ladder. Kendrick finally got the win he was looking for last week and Yeshwa came so close to causing an upset against the World Champion.
Stroup: Introducing first... Here is The Wanderlust King of Luchadore wrestling.YESHWA..
Pyros hit and "The Sanctuary" by Darling Violetta begins to play. The lights strobe red and black and the ramp flashes glimpses of Cthulu. Yeswa steps out with enthusiasm right fist raised to eye level. Yeshwa leaps on the side of the apron then flips over the top rope and into the ring. He rolls to hard camera side of the ring and raises his fist to eye level once more.
Aiello: Another man who has stepped away the collector and looking to make it on his own is Yeshwa!
Carter: Yeshwa pushed Dominic Sanders to his limit last week, I was very impressed.
Bennett: I hope his balls have recovered from last week.
Stroup: From Chelsea London, weighing at 215 Pounds....Kendrick KROSS!
'Seven Nation Army' hits the PA System. The lights flash red and white with each bass drum hit illuminating the stage briefly. When the snare comes in the rest of the lights come in to reveal Kendrick standing in the middle of the stage with a slight smile on his face. When the cymbals hit in as the words "leave it alone" are said red and white pyro shoot from the side of the stage as Kendrick proceeds down the ramp.
Kendrick continues his way down the ramp slapping a few hands and with each cymbal strike the red lights brighten. As he reaches the end of the ramp he smiles and takes a left turn and walks up the steps, climbing in through the top and second ropes. He walks to the middle of the ring and looks out into the crowd before walking over to his corner and hopping up onto the turnbuckle awaiting his opponent.
Aiello: Can Kendrick Kross capitalize on his win from last week?
Carter: That’s the thing, for Kendrick it’s all about building momentum here. He doesn’t want to go backwards.
Bennett: This is not going to be an easy fight for him.
DING DING DING
Kendrick and Yeshwa waste no time as they both lock up. Kendrick hits Yeshwa with a quick backhand to the jaw. As Yeshwa stumbles back Kendrick goes for a step-up Enziguri, but Yeshwa ducks the move. As Kendrick gets up, Yeshwa goes for a spinning wheel kick but Kendrick rolls underneath the kick. The two men turn and face each other as the crowd clap them in appreciation. Kendrick hits Yeshwa with an uppercut and then hooks him and launches him across the ring with an exploder suplex. Yeshwa rolls out of the ring. As Yeshwa gets to his feet Kendrick runs and throws himself through the middles ropes for a suicide dive but Yeshwa is quick off the mark and as Kendrick dives at him he produces a D’endrrah out of nowhere, kicking Kendrick in mid air!
Carter: Wow Kendrick got caught with a super kick in mid air!!! That’s gotta hurt.
Yeshwa quickly picks Kendrick up and rolls him into the ring. Yeshwa is ready to go for a pin but instead he smiles and points towards the top turnbuckle. With Kendrick still down, Yeshwa jumps onto the top turnbuckle and smirks as he points down at Kendrick before he tries to hit the Call of Chtulu. As he jumps Kendrick rolls out of the way and Yeshwa hits the mat hard!
Aiello: Oh man Yeshwa could have went for the pin after the D’endrrah but he went for the glory finish and it didn’t pay off!
Kendrick pulls himself up with the ropes, he then runs across Yeshwa who’s still on the mat and he jumps on the middle ropes and throws himself backwards hitting Yeshwa with a lionsault, he then makes the pin....

Just as Kendrick is about to touch the ropes Yeshwa lets the hold go, jumps to his feet and kicks Kendrick in the back of the head. Yeshwa then quickly before pulls Kendrick back to the middle of the ring and locks the STF in again! Kendrick is struggling now as Yeshwa uses all his power to try and make him submit. Yeshwa screams at Kendrick to quit but Kendrick won’t give up. Kendrick starts to fade as Yeshwa starts to tire. The ref checks to see if Kendrick is out cold.
Carter: Kendrick looks out of the game, it could be all over.
Kendrick suddenly sparks to life as Yeshwa eases up on the hold. Kendrick rolls Yeshwa over and he breaks the hold. Both men get up at the same time, Kendrick reacts quickest, he locks his arms around Yeshwa and throws him backwards for a release belly to belly suplex. Kendrick lays on the mat trying to catch his breath as Yeshwa leans in the corner. Kendrick gets up and runs at Yeshwa who dives out of the way. Kendrick leaps into the top rope of the corner and moonsaults backwards, landing on top of Yeshwa! Kendrick looks as if he hurt himself just as much as Yeshwa as both men try and get back to there feet after a breather. Yeshwa sees an opportunity with Kendrick’s back to him, he runs off the ropes and comes back at Kendrick for a shining wizard to the back but Kendrick at the same time senses Yeshwa coming and produces a Pele Kick out of nowhere, the two men crash into each other! Both are laying flat out in the middle of the ring as the fans cheer.
Aiello: This is what Monday night Brawl is all about! Two warriors throwing everything at each other in that ring tonight.

Carter: Speaking of Yeshwa, his brother is up next, Antoni Malietoa verses Cyrus Black. Almost like a rematch tonght. I tell you, I am most excited for this match and I think it's stealing the show!
Fog engulfs the entrance ramp, highlighted by green lights as "Be Somebody" by Fort Minor begins to play throughout the arena. From the smoke emerges Antoni Malietoa with his eyes wide and arms out to his sides. As the fog clears, Antoni takes a step forward as he psychs him self up with a yell.

Bennett: If only the Collector was still around, maybe Antoni would be the one with the belt now.
Carter: I tell you what, this match is going to be phenomenal and I can't wait for that bell!
The whole arena goes dark for a moment, a spotlight hits the entrance ramp and music plays from the PA system.
"Life is a mystery..."
The silhouette of a man moves into the spotlight, arms raised above his head as he starts to clap.
"And it feels like home..."
The lights go up around the arena, two red pyrotechnics go off at either side of the stage as the chorus hits...
"When you call my name
it's like a little prayer..."
it's like a little prayer..."
Cyrus starts clapping as he merrily skips from one side of the entrance ramp to the other, looking out at the sea of fans, goading them to clap along with him. Cyrus makes his way down the entrance ramp with the International championship around his waist, he engages with fans along the way, dishing out high fives and hugs as he jives his way to the ring.
"I'm down on my knees

"Just like a prayer you know,
I'll take you there...".
I'll take you there...".
Cyrus casually leans against the ropes, with a cheesy grin on his face.
Aiello: Cyrus Black, International Champion. He not only beat Antoni, he beat Iggy Swango all in the same night. Amazing work since returning Cyrus. Let's see if he can keep that momentum tonight.
Bennett: My guess, no.
Carter: I'm so excited, like a kid on Christmas!

Cyrus extends his hand towards Antoni. After a moment Antoni reciprocates the gesture and shakes Cyrus’s hand. After taking a step back they both lock up in a test of strength. As Cyrus breaks free of the grip Antoni pushes him half way across the ring and onto the mat. Cyrus scrambles to his feet as Antoni runs at him and shoulder barges him back to the floor, once on the mat Antoni hits multiple elbow drops onto Cyrus. Antoni then picks Cyrus up and belly to belly suplexs him across the ring. Antoni wastes no time as he lifts Cyrus up and hits him with a second belly to belly suplex. Antoni again picks Cyrus up, not giving him time to breath, he hits a third belly to belly suplex on Cyrus who rolls out of the ring after hitting the mat. Some of the crowd cheer as Antoni shakes the ropes and beats his chest with his fist.
Carter:Antoni has just continued on from last week and he’s on fire.
Bennett: He’s beating up that goofball of an International champion so I’m enjoying this.
Antoni climbs out of the ring but as he steps onto the ring apron Cyrus quickly sweeps his legs from underneath him. Antoni falls onto the ring apron and then onto the floor. Cyrus jumps onto the ring apron and waits for Antoni to get to his feet. When Antoni pulls himself up Cyrus runs along the ring apron and jumps towards Antoni. Antoni sees Cyrus coming and spears him in mid air. Cyrus crashes onto the outside floor, holding his head in agony.
Aiello: Oh my god Antoni just caught Cyrus in mid air with a spear! Cyrus looks hurt.

After a moment Antoni tries to pick Cyrus up and onto his shoulder but Cyrus comes to life and wraps his legs around Antoni. Moving his body around to the back of Antoni, Cyrus locks in a sleeper chokehold. Antoni tries to shake Cyrus off but he won’t let go of the hold. Antoni falls backwards, Cyrus shouts in agony but he still doesn’t let go. Antoni rolls onto this belly and stands up with Cyrus on his back. Antoni uses all his strength as he runs towards the corner, then he turns and slams Cyrus backfirst into the corner hoping he lets go of the hold. However Cyrus still won’t let go of the choke hold. Carter: That’s the Samoan warrior blood inside him right there, a never say die attitude. What do either of these men have to do to put each other away?
Cyrus lifts Antoni to his feet and grabs his arm. Cyrus attempts to whip Antoni into the ropes, but Antoni reverses it and whips Cyrus into the ropes and on the return Antoni delivers a vicious spinebuster and jumps back to his feet. As Antoni stands, Cyrus rolls to the ropes and rolls under the bottom rope and to his feet on the outside. Antoni runs and bounces off of the opposite ropes and runs to the other side and as Cyrus turns around Antoni leaps into the air and throws himself up over the top rope with a suicide dive straight into Cyrus causing them both to crash hard into the barricade and the ref begins his count.
ONE!... TWO!... THREE...
Antoni reaches up grabbing the barricade to pull himself to his feet.
FOUR!... FIVE!...
Antoni is up and catching his breath. Cyrus slowly begins pushing to his feet as well. Before Antoni can push forward, Cyrus rushes him, but Antoni ducks and throws Cyrus up over his shoulder and over the barricade causing him to crash to the ground.
SIX!... SEVEN...
Antoni backs up and as Cyrus climbs up, Antoni runs towards him, jumps up onto the barricade right towards Cyrus, but Cyrus ducks under Antoni in the air, Antoni lands and rolls back to his feet, Cyrus rushes him, Antoni rushes Cyrus and they both crack one another with a lariat causing them both to drop to the ground.
EIGHT!...
Both finally realizing the count try to rush to their feet and rush towards the barricade.
NINE!...
They both jump the barricade and run towards the ring...
TEN!...
DING DING DING
Stroup: Ladies and gentleman. This match has ended in a draw do to neither being able to get back into the ring after the ten count.
Aiello: Wow! What a finish. Something tells me, the battle isn't done between these two.
Bennett: I have to admit, these two impressed me tonight. But neither wanted it to end this way.
Carter: These are clearly two of the best in the business and I think I can speak for everybody, I can't wait for them to meet again.
Both men stand on the outside of the ring, shocked and grabbing at their heads in disbelief. They bring their attention towards one another and begin to step towards each other slowly. Cyrus nods his head, extends his hand. Antoni shakes and nods his head "we will see one another again." is the vibe as the two go their separate ways. Antoni up the ramp, Cyrus through the crowd.
We move to a commercial break.
The camera cuts backstage inside the Talking Stick Resort Arena to show Xavier Reid, Nikki Dupree and Tlatoani Volando walking backstage heading towards the office of Brawl GM Jon Spartan.
Dupree: Do you think this is the best idea Xavier?
Reid: I just want to clear the air with him, explain where I was coming from.
Volando: It might be best to let it simmer a little, to just go out to the ring and let your wrestling speak for itself and well...maybe not make things worse.
Reid: It will be fine guys, I just want to make sure he knows where I was coming from, to apologize for what happened on the flight home from Tokyo, to thank him for smoothing THAT all over and to let him know I am here to fight for everything I get here in Brawl.
Dupree: I just think maybe it would be best to give it a week or two…
Reid: Nah, I’ll it now.
The group reach the office door of GM Jon Spartan and Xavier reaches out and knocks before cracking the door open and pops his head in
Reid: Do you have a second?
Jon looks up from his desk and waves Xavier in, Nikki and Tlatoani stay outside as Xavier walks in.
Spartan: Xavier, how are you? Take a seat.
Xavier takes a seat across from Jon
Reid: So I wanted to come in this week and clear the air...I know I failed to get the job done at StrangleMania, the truth is I hit Dominic Sanders with everything I had in my arsenal and I couldn’t keep him down. That’s on me and I know I now have to work my way back up the ladder. It wasn’t lost on me that I wasn’t apart of the two matches concerning the title picture last week, that the X-Division crowned a new Number One Contender in Darius and that the International Championship Gauntlet was made up of some of the best newcomers Brawl has to offer to challenge Iggy and that Cyrus, much like I did, returned to make good on a promise he made years ago to be a EWC Champion. I know I can’t drop the X-Division Championship and then lose in my Undisputed Championship match and just walk right back into title contention but I’m here to tell you I didn’t come back to Brawl just to be another guy, just a face on the roster. So if I have to work my way back up from the bottom so be it, if you want me to beat the best from the FSW who come here looking to test themselves then so be it...line up whatever test you need me to pass but know this, I’ll pass those tests Jon, you put me in that Undisputed Championship Tournament because you believed in me and I’m still that guy.
Xavier looks right at Jon Spartan
Reid: I want the best of the best of the EWC…
Spartan smirks as he brushes his hand through his beard.
Spartan: Xavier, I heard the rumors that you thought I didn't think you deserve the spotlight anymore. Why? Because I had you placed on the beginning of a brawl card? Look Reid, Brawl is stacked with talent and you're among the best. So, I give the fans what they want to see, I put you early in the card to hype up the crowd and set the pace for the show. I could have you go after Curtis Mars and the X-Division championship, I could have had you in that International tournament, I could even place you back against Dominic Sanders. If anybody deserves it, you do. But I have plans for you Xavier. But you know here on Brawl, you have to earn your shots, they aren't just given. Xavier, this is how I see it. You've done what not many people have done, you have a pinfall victory over one of the most dominating champions in the business, Ace King. I'd love to bring that championship to our brand. I had hopes that you'd be interested in having that opportunity. Again, I don't gift number one contender spots, you need to earn that chance and I have something in the works and next week on brawl, I think you will be pleased. The main thing I'm telling you Xavier, don't think that we staff don't believe in you after a loss against Dominic Sanders, many have fallen to him.
Reid: I’m not looking for a handout or a free pass into a match I haven’t earned, yes, I beat Ace King the last time he was in a Brawl ring and I’d be lying to you if I didn’t say I wanted to be the guy that brought the US Championship to Brawl but I’m willing to fight for that right Jon. So whatever you have planned for next week...I’M IN!!! I want to be apart of whatever plans you might have so Jon...sign me up…
Xavier extends his hand and Jon Spartan smiles as he stands up and shakes Xavier’s hand.
Spartan: Then we will see you next week Xavier
The two exchange one last look and Xavier heads back towards the door, he walks out into the hallway as Nikki and Tlatoani are waiting for news
Dupree: And?
Volando: Did he fire you?
Dupree: Shut up Tlatoani, what did Spartan say Xavier? What does he have for you?
Xavier smiles
Reid: An opportunity at history
Antoni walks through the curtain back to the guerrilla position after his match. As he turns to head to the lockers, Brian Spades comes running up to the Great Warrior.
Brian Spade: Antoni, Antoni! Sorry to bother you after that match you just had with Cyrus. It was a close match, you have to feel confident after performing like that against the new International champion. Neither of you won, but you must feel you proved a point. Anyway, Jon Spartan is looking for you. Said he wants you in his office right away.
Antoni is still breathing a little heavy after his match. He looks at Spades for a moment and then starts to head toward the assistant GMs office. He knocks on the door a few times before opening it and walking into Jon Spartan’s office. The camera switches angle to show Jon at his desk, a monitor with a live feed of the action in the ring on one side, a stack of paperwork on the other.
Spartan: Antoni, good you got my message. Come in, have a seat.
Antoni takes a seat on a small couch opposite Spartan’s desk.
Antoni: What is all this about? I don’t like being summoned to the Vice Principals office.
With a smirk, Spartan tosses him a water bottle.
Spartan: Alright Antoni, I view you as one of the top competitors here in the EWC. Your performance in that gauntlet match alone earned you opportunity, even in a loss you opened the eyes of many. I mean, just look at what you did tonight against Cyrus Black, that shit is impressive Antoni. Now, I have plans to bring that U.S. Championship to the red brand and I'm going to give you a chance to do that. I don't gift championship shots. I know you like to prove yourself and next week you'll have that opportunity. I can't give details now, but you'll see come next Brawl!
Antoni smiles wide.
Antoni: Ace King, huh? You don't mess around Spartan. I like that. You give The Samoan Warrior a shot and I will come through. Guess I need to go pay Rampage a visit then, see where the champ likes to spend his time.
LAST MAN STANDING X-DIVISION RULES
FOR THE X-DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
DARIUS
VS Curtis Mars
FOR THE X-DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
DARIUS
VS Curtis Mars
Aiello: What a show we've had tonight but it is all about to come to an end with the main event!
Bennett: Damn straight! We get to see Darius vs. Curtis Mars II ... But this time for the X-Division championship instead of the number one contendership!
Carter: Mars defeated Darius the first time and has yet to lose in EWC since. Darius doesn't have a perfect record, but he also hasn't been pinned, submitted, or kept down since his loss to Mars either. Tonight we see who loses their streak and who goes home with the championship!
The lights start flashing red and white as a distorted voice & instrumentals start to play from the sound system. Right as the opening chords begin, the lights go dark …
Stroup: The following match is a Last Man Standing match for the X-Division championship! Introducing first, making his way his way to the stage, from Albany New York, weighing in at 245 lbs … DARIUS!
Loud pyro with white flames shoot from the stage ...
“Collapse, collapse!”
Darius sprints out onto the stage wearing a long, black trench coat over his gear & a black beanie to keep his hair back. He jogs to each side of the stage, taunting the crowd with rude gestures & faces, & then sprints down the ramp towards the ring, sliding underneath the bottom rope then jumping to his feet with his arms held high in the air, rocking the devil horns.
Aiello: Do we think Darius can pick up a win tonight? Mars has been unstoppable.
Bennett: I think so! Darius is focused and ready, he is going to put that son of a bitch in his place!
Carter: Maybe, but I think my money is on the champ.
Pyros hit and "Smile" by Frank Sinatra begins to blast through the arena sound system. The lights flash and a platform begins to be raised in the side of the stage. As the stage itself is filled with smoke, knelt down on one knee is Curtis Mars in the center of the rising platform. He uses his hand to hold up his head and as the platform raises higher, he slowly lifts his head up and there is an odd smile on his face. Once the platform stops, Curtis leaps into the air, lands with his arms spread out wide and lets out a loud scream of excitement. He looks to the fans, then eyes the ring excitedly smirking.
Stroup:Ladies and Gentlemen, making his way to the ring, hailing from Oymyakon, Russia! He stands at 6'0" and weighing in at 205 LBS He is 'The Warden Of Extreme' and the EWC X-DIVISION CHAMPION ... CURTIS MARS!
Once to the ring, Curtis jumps up onto the ring apron, grabs the top rope and uses it to spring himself up and over landing on his feet, but rolling to the center. Stopping his roll on one knee, his arms out screaming in excitement again. Curtis then stands up ... but then is immediately taken down as Darius rushes forward and connects with The Hunter's Mark!
Aiello: What the hell?! The match hasn't even started yet!
Bennett: ATTABOY! Show that poser who the true warden of extreme is!
Carter: Mars' doctor was worried about Darius doing something like this! I don't think Mars expected it!
Darius stays on top of Mars, laying hard shots into his face with stiff rights and lefts. The referee attempts to pull Darius off from Mars but is unable to do so. Darius gets back to his feet and stomps mudholes into Mars' chest, then pulls him to the rope, places his neck over the bottom rope, and presses down on the back of his head, using the rope to choke Mars out!
Aiello: Someone stop this guy!
The referee finally manages to pull Darius off from Mars and shoves him into a corner as Darius holds his hands up with a wide grin in his face. The ref then runs to Mars and checks on him as he starts to pull himself to his feet, exclaiming that he is able to compete with the referee.
Mars stands to his feet, snarling at Darius, as he rests himself in the corner. The referee checks with Mars once more, Mars says hes good to go, so the referee calls for the bell.
DING DING DING
Darius immediately runs at Mars, driving a big boot square into his jaw into the corner! Darius then keeps him pinned into the corner as he begins to land stiff shots into the midsection, as well as some headbutts to Mars' head! Darius then whips Mars to the opposite turnbuckle, following close behind him, then slamming Mars with a stiff clothesline in the corner! Right before Mars falls, Darius kicks him in the gut, brings his head under his arm, and then plants Mars with the Soulcatcher; Darius' signature lifting inverted DDT! Darius starts screaming at the referee to begin the count;
1!
2!
3!
4!
5!
Mars manages to pull himself to his feet before the count of six, beckoning to Darius for him to bring it on. Darius rushes at Mars once more, but Mars pulls the top rope down and sends Darius flying over the top as he tries to kick Mars' head off with another big boot!
Aiello: Darius had an advantage early on because of his sneak attack but Mars has come to!
Bennett: Mars doesn't stand a chance, Darius has already whooped his ass!
Darius hits the arena floor hard and is dazed for a moment, laying flat on his back as he looks up at the ceiling. Mars takes the opportunity to recollect himself, keeping an eye on Darius as he slowly starts to pull himself up. As Darius gets to his feet, Mars jumps up onto the top rope, bounces off from of it, and launches himself towards Darius, connecting with a springboard 450 splash onto Darius right as he gets to his feet!
Mars wastes no time and stays on Darius, connecting with multiple strikes to the head with an intense amount of speed, each hit echoing throughout the arena. Mars then gets back to his feet, climbs onto the announcers table, then leaps off of it and stamps both feet into Darius' chest with authority! Darius rolls around on the ground clutching his chest, then lays flat on the ground as the referee begins the count;
1!
2!
3!
4!
5!
Darius also manages to get up before six, using the announcers table to pull himself back to his feet!
Carter: Mars might have crushed Darius' sternum with that stomp!
Aiello: You may be right, it looks like Darius is having trouble breathing! If you can't breathe, it'll be harder to get up!
Mars rushes forward, lunges forward, and drives his knee into Darius' chest, knocking him over the announcers table! Darius tumbles between Aiello and Bennett as they move out of the way, then Mars leaps over the table and lands onto Darius with a stiff elbow drop! Mars then jumps to his feet, takes one of the commentator's chairs, and starts slamming the feet down into Darius' head over and over again!
Mars then pushes the chair away and starts to strip the table, throwing the cover off to the side, tossing the monitors away, and clearing the rest of the miscellaneous items. Mars then picks Darius up and goes to put him onto the table, but Darius brings his head up and headbutts Mars under the chin! Mars stumbles back a bit, then Darius picks up one of the laptops from the ground and smashes it over Mars' head, dropping him to the ground!
Aiello: You son of a bitch, I needed that!
Bennett: He clearly needed it more!
Darius stomps Mars in the head before making his way to the apron, lifting it up, and pulling a trash can filled with weapons from underneath. Darius pulls a tube light out from the can, turns to Mars, and smashes it over his back, exploding the light into a cloud of dust and glass shards! Mars clutches at his back, screaming out in pain as Darius pulls yet another weapon out from the can, this time in the form of a lead pipe!
Darius methodically approaches Mars with a wide grin on his face, readying the pipe for a strike. Mars pulls himself up with the table, thus leading to Darius swinging for his head with the pipe, but Mars ducks the shot and tackles Darius to the ground, rolling over onto his back, and then locking Darius into the Hell's Gate submission hold, bringing Darius' throat down onto Mars' shin with brutal force!
Carter: Mars has the Hell's Gate locked in tight! Can Darius escape the hold?!
Bennett: But there are no submissions, what is he doing?!
Aiello: Trying to make him pass out; the best way to win!
Mars pulls back on Darius' head harder, applying more pressure to the hold! Darius struggles and tries to fight off Mars but is unable to do so, and after a few moments, the struggling stops and Darius goes limp. Mars keeps the hold locked in for a moment more before tossing Darius off to the side and back to his feet, leaning against the ring to recollect himself as the referee begins the count;
1!
2!
3!
4!
5!
6!
Darius shakes his head and comes back to ...
7!
8!
Darius starts to pull himself up with the apron ...
9!
Darius then gets to both feet before the count of ten, coughing hard and spitting blood onto the ring as he does! Mars then rushes Darius and connects with a superman punch, seemingly knocking Darius out cold as he falls back onto the steps with glazed over eyes! Mars takes the moment to look under the ring, then pulls Darius' bat out from underneath, along with a can of lighter fluid!
Mars douses the bat with gas, then tosses the can to the side. He pulls some matches from his boot and ignites them as Darius sits up on the stairs, shaking the cobwebs free. Darius sees Mars as he ignites the bat, setting it ablaze. In a fit of rage, Darius lunges at Mars, ducking a shot from the now flaming bat. Darius spins around and kicks Mars right between the legs, forcing him to lose grip on the bat. Darius then picks the bat up and slams it down onto Mars' back with a sickening thud!
Mars drops to the ground but Darius' doesn't stop the assault; he continues to bludgeon Mars with the flaming bat over and over until the flames go out, leaving Mars' back seared and burnt to hell!
Aiello: Jesus Christ; Mars' plan just backfired hardcore!
Bennett: He deserved it! Darius' bat didn't deserve that!
Darius looks at his bat for a moment, then back down at Mars. He tosses the bat off to the side, then pulls a steel chain from under the ring. The referee starts to count, but Darius shoves him and tells him to wait. Darius then gets over Mars and brings the chain around his neck, then begins to choke him with the chain, wrenching back on the neck hard.
Darius wraps the chain in one hand, holding it tight as he chokes Mars, then uses the other hand to grab a handful of glass shards, then slaps them into Mars' face! Mars claws at his face, but Darius just slams it down into the ground instead. Darius kicks Mars in the head for good measure then calls for the referee to count;
1!
2!
3!
4!
5!
6!
7!
Mars grabs the stairs and pulls himself to his knees ...
8!
9!
Mars then manages to prop his feet up at the last moment, using the stairs as leverage!
Bennett: Come on! Just stay down you stupid son of a bitch!
Aiello: He still has a lot of fight left in him!
Darius rushes into the frame and attempts to hit Mars with a big boot to the skull, but Mars avoids the shot, forcing Darius to kick the ring post instead. Mars then leaps up, grabs Darius by the neck, and connects with a jumping cutter right onto the steel steps!
Darius hangs over the steps motionless as Mars jogs to the opposite side of the ring, and then sprints at Darius full speed, lunging forward with a high knee, connecting with the side of Darius' head! Darius tumbles down and hits the floor, but his head lays on the bottom step. Mars takes notice of this, then takes one of the steel chairs from ring side and lays it over Darius' head.
Mars then climbs onto the apron, looking down at Darius as he lays still on the step. Mars then leaps from the apron and brings his foot down onto the chair hard, crushing Darius' head between the chair and step with a sickening curb stomp!
Carter: THE MIND SPIKE! Mars just used Darius' own move against him!
Aiello: There is no way Darius is getting up after that one, folks ...
Mars nearly collapses but catches himself on the barricade, looking to the referee and nodding as the referee begins the count.
1!
2!
3!
4!
5!
6!
Darius begins to stir ...
7!
8!
Darius starts to bring himself up ...
9!
But collapses.
10!
DING DING DING
Stroup: Here is your winner and STILL ... The EWC X-DIVISION CHAMPION ... CURTIS MARS!
Aiello: What a main event and what a battle! These two absolutely destroyed each other!
Carter: Darius even tried to get the upperhand by attacking Mars before the start of the match ... It clearly didn't work! Mars stands tall and retains!
Bennett: Alright, fine ... I guess he deserves the title of Warden of Extreme …
