There was tension in the back because of the fact everyone was on their toes for their matches. It was in the middle of the show where Ruthann Hunter was looking over at herself in the mirror making sure everything was in place. She was wearing a pair of blue jeans with an EWC Shirt and leather black jacket with her and Jaden’s name written on the back in gold and black letters on the back with crowns near their name. She made sure her baseball cap was on her hat just right before she walks out of the locker room closing the door behind her.
Jaden was on the other side of the arena taking care of something while she was walking down to ringside to get ready to go out. She was all ready as someone came running over wearing a suit. The young man you could tell was a bit nervous about what he was going to do. The young man fixes his tie on his shirt as he cleared his throat.
“Mrs. Hunter... hmm.. I am sorry to do this to you but I was told to tell you we short on time...and we will not be able to have you appear today....”
Ruthann raised an eyebrow as she couldn’t believe her ears as she stood there a bit lost in her thoughts. She looked over at the young man once again in disbelief.
“What... did you say...”
The young man swallow hard was about to say it again, trying not to look into the eyes of the future Hall of Famer.
“We know you talk things over with some people in the office but higher up told us to tell you that what you have to say isn’t as important. That you need to show respect towards the new ones who on the roster and stop taking up their time. That you will have your time in December at EWC Honors.”
Ruthann Hunter just nods softly as the young man ran off fast scared that Ruthann Hunter was going to hurt him. Ruthann stood there first with anger but then turn into sadness and then into hurt. Ruthann stood there for a minute wondering if she was been selfish. Was she taking up the time of the new roster team? She just felt the women in the EWC was slowly holding themselves back for some reason. They need a bit of a fire up their asses and she was ready to give it to them. She felt she was about to do something that will help out EWC to become even better.
While she was walking back to her locker still lost in her thoughts once she opens the door a young black woman was sitting there wearing a black hood over her head and blue jeans. She could tell that Ruthann wasn’t happy looking over at the young woman. She felt hurt and upset for this young woman because she had this look on her face as she slowly sat back down in her chair.
“What happens to your appearance.... You were about to .. go out there and fire up the women here...”
Ruthann just smirks a bit as she tosses her baseball hat to the side running a hand in her hair.
“What I have to say isn’t important. It like they are trying to tell me I am been selfish.... When all I want to try to make sure at least place a fire under a few of the women around.. Not really just a few but all of them because I saw the rankings. In EWC history the women always was among the main events and right now I don’t see it.”
The young black woman in the black hood nods softly as she sat down next to her trainer. She knew how important Women wrestling was to Ruthann especially in EWC since in her mind it was where it truly started for women. Where other companies are trying to claim to be the first to have some great women matches when EWC started it all. It was where the true Women Revolution happen. Ruthann glances over at the tv as the match with Stephanie and Kross was on. She watched as Stephanie pinned Kross with a soft smile on her face.
“Hopefully it be a good start... Rumble in the Bronx is like two months away and I truly hope one of the women win it because I would love to see at the last ppv of this year that a woman is in the main event like we always do around here. You need to start preparing now and start getting on a roll of things starting right now. They can’t wait to do that after Night of Champions. They need to start now! Maybe I am just been selfish because when I go into the Hall of Fame this year. I just would love to see that same month a woman in the Main Event. It would make me know and feel everything I have fought and when thought at EWC and in my life was so worth the moment of watching another female become a main event wrestler that someone never saw as one before. People NEVER saw that in me. You know... but I prove and show them wrong. I just want these women to do the same thing. That all I want to say...
Ruthann start to have tears coming down her face she fought in her mind not just for herself but for every other woman that want to be seen as a main event wrestler just like the guys. She had to fight many emotions and people to get to where she was at EWC but now watching. The place is changing in front of her eyes and it not the roster that changing it at all. It that Victor Price and she hated him. He was changing Mac Company into something she wasn’t liking. It was starting to become more about the money then about the passion of the sport and love for this business. She wasn’t like it one bit. She wipes her eyes as The young Black Woman smirks a bit.
“Wasn’t you also going to talk about maybe a tag team match between Rebelle and Project Chaos... so would love to see that.“
Ruthann just laughs because she knew her student loved Project Chaos as she laughs a bit.
“I was going to mention that too but I think Mark will have his hands full soon...”
The young black woman laughs a bit with a soft nods as it hit her sitting back dropping her head looking back over at Ruthann taking in a deep sighed.
“What about having a match over at Thunder?”
Ruthann looked down a bit before looking back over at her.
“There won’t be....”
