HOW RESEARCH IS SCORED

0 PTS IN RESEARCH: I'm going to beat Billy like a drum. He's a big dude who sucks.
- The handler did zero research other than knowing the opponents name and potential size. This is a 0. 

0.5 PTS IN RESEARCH: I'm going to beat Billy like a drum. He's a 6 foot 3, high flying dude from Texas. He sucks.
- The only research done by the handler, was looking at the opponents bio page and seeing the opponents height, wrestling type and birth/billed from place. This is minimal research.

1-1.5 PTS IN RESEARCH: I'm going to beat Billy like a drum. He's 3 inches shorter than me and makes a fool out of himself every time he gets on the mic by cracking terrible jokes. He couldn't even beat John last week and that guy is brand new. Imagine what I'll do to this fool who has only won one match in the last month.
- The handler read the opponents bio, references idiotic/comedic style in segments/promos, references last match and a minor record detail of the last month. This shows some clear research done on the opponent.

2 (MAX) PTS IN RESEARCH: Billy, you're pretty new around here. It's been what? 3 months?. In that three months you've managed to win 2 out of 6 matches. Last 'SHOW NAME' you lost to John who was making his debut. I'm supposed to worry about you Billy? Maybe you should crawl your way back to Texas and share those knock knock jokes you're so proud of. Speaking of jokes, I heard you loud and clear on 'SHOW NAME' Billy. I saw you calling me a 'paper champion'. How can someone with a losing record, who hasn't Main Evented in at least a month, stand there and call me a 'paper champion'? ..
- The handler clearly demonstrates up-to-date research within the last cycle of their opponent. We aren't looking for a history lesson, just that the wrestler knows what's been going on in the EWC for the last cycle (30 days). Here they know what the opponent has done in the last cycle+, paid attention to things said (with specifics) on the last show directed at them personally and ultimately proves to be up-to-date on the opponent. Full points.
