EWC HONORS 2019
December 30th, 2019
Hosts: Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake
"CHAMPION" by Barns Courtney begins to blast on the PA system
Video footage detailing historic events over the EWC's twenty-two year history, from March 1997 all the way down to the four-day spectacle that was Wrestlefest XVII.
Images of previous EWC Champions and award winners are shown.
This is followed by highlights of showcasing all the nominees for the night.
The energy in the Microsoft Theater is electrifying.
Spotlights circle around the theater as the thousands of fans in the venue are shown in a wide angle shot. The camera then pans out showing a full-scale view of the jam-packed theater and zooms in on some of the celebrities inside the lounge area.
The lights begin to dim and there is a loud cheer as 2019 EWC Honors hosts Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake take to the stage
Jimmy Fallon: Hello Los Angeles and everyone watching at home .. welcome to EWC Honors 2019!
Jimmy Fallon: Hello Los Angeles and everyone watching at home .. welcome to EWC Honors 2019!
The audience starts to cheer and chant
Jimmy Fallon: My name is Jimmy Fallon, and my co-host tonight is one of the most recognizable faces on the planet .. he's an actor, singer, song writer, dancer, father, a former mouseketeer and he also happens to be my very own BFF .. he is the very awesome .. the one and only .. Mr Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake: Thanks, Jimmy. All of this seems so very familiar. Almost as if this is our third time doing this .. Oh wait .. this IS the third time we are doing this .. Well .. tonight we celebrate the 22nd Year of the Extreme Wrestling Corporation. Before the twitter-verse trolls hop on and start running their damn fingers up and down the keyboards on how the EWC hasn't been open for 22 consecutive years .. we fucking get it. We know it. We acknowledge it. Fuck off.
Fallon: JT, dude .. *whispering* You told that same joke last year, no need to bring that up in front of the boss man AGAIN ..
The audience laughs as the camera zooms in on President Mac who, once again, has an unimpressed look on his face
Timberlake: Mac has not aged a day .. amazing .. tonight we are celebrating the 2019 Season of the EWC, which saw some amazing heights reached, and reached a thrilling climax with the four-day spectacular that was WrestleFest XVII .. it was a banner year for the company that began in 1997 and shows no signs of slowing down!
Fallon: As the Season officially comes to a close, we look back on it all. Every Brawl, Rampage, FSW, Prime, Pay-Per-View, and Thunder events that took place this year. Every championship that changed hands this year. Incredible wins and devastating defeats. Records were broken .. as were many upon many bones .. and probably some egos too!
Timberlake: Throughout all the pain, blood, sweat and tears .. was the will to fight .. to do whatever it takes to try and get that victory. The EWC is filled with the most talented, most elite competitors of any company in the entire world. Both past and present .. the EWC is known for breeding legends of wrestling. Some of the greatest names of all time have had their name attached to the EWC banner .. which is second to none in the industry.
Fallon: So while tonight might be a culmination of an incredible season .. it should also be viewed for what it really is .. a time to get drunk and party .. no .. just kidding .. well .. not kidding .. but .. really tonight is a Celebration of an incredibly successful Season of EWC action.
Timberlake: Without further ado .. let's welcome Ariana Grande to the stage to introduce the first set of awards of the evening!
The audience clap and cheer as Ariana Grande is about to take the stage
Ariana: This year marks the beginning of the EWC honoring various achievements of the season with six new awards, named in honor of EWC Legends and Hall of Famers.
Ariana pauses and then continues
Ariana: We start with an award named for an EWC competitor who was known as one of the most dominant wrestlers in EWC history, setting the record for wins in a season. Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the inaugural Memphis Reigns Award for Most Wins in a Season is ... Dominic Sanders, with 30 wins in 2019!
As Sanders' name is called, he stands up from his seat and begins walking to the stage. For this award, Cora Whittaker does not join him in moving to the stage. Sanders walks up the steps and onto the stage and approaches the podium. He accepts the award and looks over it before stepping up to the microphone.
Sanders: How about that, huh? First the Drake Memorial Cup... now this. I guess if there's an award out there with someone's name attached to it, you might as well call it mine.
Sanders snickers a little before continuing.
Sanders: The reason I am up here right now is because I won thirty matches this year. While I am sure a lot of you sitting in those seats are probably thinking that this is an insignificant award, I would beg to differ. While I was out there grinding my balls off on Brawl, Rampage, Uprising, FSW, Prime, pay-per-view, and so on and so forth... most of you were sitting on your fat asses at home watching me win time after time after time after time. I'd be willing to bet that the majority of you didn't even participate in thirty matches this year. But I did. And I did it as the Undisputed Champion for half of the season. I have said it before, and I will say it again. You didn't see Ashton Drake or Luke Wolfe or Natalie Young doing that when they were the champ. You didn't see your diabetic sweet treat Candy doing it. Cyrus Black, as much as I hate to say it, is as close to Dominic Sanders as you'll get when it comes to being a fighting Undisputed Champion. So, with that all being said, remember this moment. Because I will be right back up here again next year collecting awards. I will continue to win time after time after time in 2020. And, by the end of this coming season, I will be standing up here as the Indy Champion and the most dominant wrestler in Prime's history.
Sanders steps away from the microphone as the crowd boos him. He walks down the steps and moves back to his seat as we cut back to a visibly confused Ariana Grande, who takes a moment to compose herself before continuing.
Ariana: Right...our next award is named after a man that is well-regarded amongst many in the EWC, from the current roster to fellow Legends and Hall of Famers. He is known as being one of the most polished and respected wrestlers of all time, with the best rookie season ever. He is the winner of multiple winners, and a three time Undisputed Champion. Ladies and gentlemen, the Ashton Drake Award for Most MVP Wins in a Season goes to ... Cyrus Black, with 16 MVP wins for 2019!
Cyrus: You know I had a rehearsed speech that would’ve sufficed for any of the other awards that I was up for tonight but this one is different. For a start I had no idea that they were giving this out until very late on in the day so it took me by surprise and then there’s the fact that it’s linked to one of the greatest wrestlers of our generations Ashton Drake. This means something.
Cyrus pauses and looks over the award that’s in his hand before scanning his eyes across the crowd.
Cyrus: The majority of the EWC roster think that I’m an arrogant prick, I’ve been called egotistical and narcissistic on many, many occasions but that’s ok. I get it. Maybe it’s the way I come across, I dunno but either way despite what people may think i didn’t actually walk into this honors show tonight thinking that I deserve anything just like I didn’t walk back into the EWC back in March and think that I deserved to just be handed anything on a silver platter. I’ve only been back for nine months while people like Melody, Ace and Dominic have been the back bone of the EWC for the entire year so I don’t think I should get any award when there’s others who deserve it more... but this... winning the first ever most MVPs in a season award is different. This isn’t decided by votes. There’s no arguments or discussions to be had here, wether anyone likes it or not, I EARNED this!! I busted my ass day and day out for the last nine months for the EWC and this proves it. Love me... or hate me... You’re looking at the EWC’s most valuable player of 2019. Deal with it.
Cyrus lifts the award high in the air then as he turns to walk off of the stage he leans into the camera as a sly smile forms across his face.
Cyrus: I hope that wasn’t too heel-ish for you guys. Cheers.
With that, Cyrus makes his way back to his seat as Ariana asks a nearby stagehand what any of what she just heard is supposed to mean. The stagehand simply shrugs, leaving a confused Grande to continue.
Ariana: Our next award is named after a former International Champion who spent a lot of time perfecting his craft, bettering himself and always looking for ways to improve. As such, the inaugural MadDawg Award for Most Improved Wrestler of the Season is...the Titaness, Samantha Hamilton!
When the camera zooms in on The Titaness, she looks very taken aback. She quickly whispers something to her husband, Joseph "Orion" Hunter, who looks a bit shocked at this new award as well. Nonetheless, he flashes a grin over to his wife and gently takes a hold of her hand, helping her walk up to the stage. Sam first stares into the crowd, still looking like she can hardly believe what she's heard. It takes feeling Joseph gently tapping her shoulder plus the weight of the award being put in her hands for The Titaness to completely return to the here and now.
Samantha "Titaness" Hamilton : Sorry, just umm ... wow. This wasn't something I remember being on the ballot.
She laughs nervously and most of the crowd chuckles with her. Sam glances down at the trophy, a smile finally managing to adorn her face. She keeps her gaze downward before lifting her head and turning her attention back to the audience.
Samantha "Titaness" Hamilton: So ... how am I feeling about this? Actually, pretty damn happy. And no, not just because it's an award. See ... even before I fought in the Fatal Four Way match at WrestleFest, I often browsed through EWC's Hall Of Fame. And although I can't claim to know Mad Dawg, just .... knowing I'm being given this ....
Sam holds the trophy up, her smile widening further.
Samantha "Titaness" Hamilton: In one of EWC's Hall Of Famer's name, it ... it's actually huge when you stop to think about it. In its own rights, this isn't too different than when I went and tried to fight and win in Drake Ashton's name. This actually holds about as much significance.
Sam briefly pauses, taking a few moments to gather and organize her thoughts, before continuing.
Samantha "Titaness" Hamilton: I said quite a few times before going against Cyrus Black I wanted to leave my mark in EWC history. While earning gold was my original first step, this is definitely another way to go about it. To be given this ... in honor of someone who has already carved their name into the very memory and foundation of an amazing place like this.
Sam's chuckles softly, her head shaking from side to side.
Samantha "Titaness" Hamilton: It just ... it truly does mean a lot. I already had full intentions of coming into 2020 and working on making my own mark here. With this ...
Sam gives a quick nod down towards the trophy.
Samantha "Titaness" Hamilton: I've done exactly that. It may be a small step. But progress is progress all the same. Thank you to everyone involved in deciding I was worthy of this.
Joseph helps Sam walk down and guides her back to their table as the most of the other wrestlers clap and applaud her. We cut back to Ariana, a smile on her face as she continues.
Ariana: Our next award is named after a man known as the most dominant hardcore wrestler of all time. Often called the Tournament King, he was always at the top of his game when facing multiple opponents during the likes of the EWC Rumble and the King of the Cage. Ladies and gentlemen, the inaugural Shadow Man Award for Most Multi-Person Wins in a Season is...Xavier Reid, with 6 wins for 2019!
Xavier Reid makes his way to the stage to a round of applause from the audience. He steps up to the podium, looking down at the Shadow Man: Most Multi-Person Wins in a Season award and then looks out over the EWC crowd and super stars
Reid: You know going into any multi-person match the odds are not in your favor, you don’t even have to factor in the outcome to lose the match, you have to have your head on a swivel and your eyes on all the actions inside the ring, which can open you up to not see the move that ends your night.
Xavier sets the award on the podium
Reid: Outside my two championship wins some of my best wins this season have been in Multi-Person matches, be it the win over Ace King and Iggy Swango at Brawl #529, to the briefcase ladder match against Yeshwa, Kendrick Kross, Gabi Vee and Hush at Brawl #537 to Rampage #462 in that crazy Arcade Brawl against Clay Byrd, Kendrick Kross and William Manson, to my two tag team wins, I’d like to thank Cyrus Black and Kendrick Kross for teaming up with me to get two of those six wins.
Xavier picks up the award
Reid: Here’s to 2020 and more success in these Multi-Person matches and here’s to you Shadow Man, we miss you Sugarbear…
Xavier gives the camera a wink as he walks off stage to more applause, before Ariana continues.
Ariana: Our next award is named after a two-time Undisputed Champion known as one of the most dominant champions in history. Always ready to defend his titles, he set the bar for all champions to follow. And so, we announce the inaugural Xplode Award for Most Successful Championship Wins in a Season, a tie between...Jordan Sharpe and Ace King, with 6 title defenses each for 2019!
Sharpe looks confused but happy as he and Ace head to the stage, a round of applause from the crowd as Sharpe approaches the podium first, collecting his trophy and taking the mic.
JFS: Well, this is certainly unexpected. But very cool! Wow. Okay. Well, any time you can share the stage with The Gambler is pretty awesome, right? Six Championship defences each, that's pretty rad! I mean, Ace, you would have won this award outright if you were just able to beat Scorpio!
The crowd all immediately cringes and Jordan has what can be only described as a terrified chuckle.
JFS: Ha ha. Okay. Well.
He takes one more look at the trophy.
JFS: You know, as I look at this award and I think of the Hall of Famer it's named after, Xplode, I can't help but wonder. And I've been wondering it ever since I sent out that tweet at Wrestlefest. What would happen if someone like X came to PRIME? I can't help but think he wouldn't be able to hang with me, right? He's old and retired? Just some food for thought. If you ever feel like you wanna find out ... my door's always open.
He laughs again, and holds up the award, stepping away from the podium to some applause as Ace King shakes his head at Sharpe's earlier comment. Ace subtly tugs at the collar of his dress shirt before taking the podium, setting his Honors trophy by the microphone beside him.
Ace King: Being a champion in any promotion is really hard work, but it’s something I’ve always treasured when the opportunity presented itself, and every chance to defend that honour was one I accepted with pride and vigour. So, to take home an award named for one of the greatest champions EWC, and the wrestling world as a whole, has ever seen? This is pretty damn cool.
Ace pauses briefly, allowing the crowd to interject with a brief bit of applause before he speaks up once more.
Ace King: So to Brett Kennedy, Reginald Dampshaw III, Silas Isaac Naberius, Morgan Darkwater, and of course, Dominic Sanders and Xavier Reid... Thank you all for pushing me harder after every successful defence I made this season. Of course, I’m not up here alone, am I?
‘The Gambler’ raises an eyebrow, then turns his attention to his fellow recipient on stage.
Ace King: We may not have had any contact outside the Insanity Cage, Jordan, but it doesn’t mean I haven’t been paying attention. It’s pretty damn amazing to see how far you’ve come in such a short time. You’ve gone from The Unlikeliest Hero to a damn fine representative of EWC, so sharing this with you tonight is Just… Freaking… Sensational.
The crowd cheers as Ace offers Sharpe a nod before picking up his award and backing away from the podium. More applause from the crowd as King and Shapre return to their seats, before Ariana continues.
Ariana: The last of our newest awards is named after a man of many words. If he could find a microphone or a camera, he made sure he was heard. Holder of many titles, he knew how to tell it better than anyone else in his era, using every avenue available to him. As such, the inaugural Steve Bennett Award for Best Use of Fighter Talk in a Season goes to...Gabrielle Visconty!
This gets the crowd murmuring amongst themselves, wondering if they'd see Gabrielle in person after what she's been through recently. After a moment, we get our answer as the following pops up on the screens:
I just received notification of my winning the "Best use of Fighter Talk" award. While I wish I could be there in person to accept this award, I have more pressing matters to attend to. Thank you all for the award and support in this trying time. I will see you all again soon, I promise.
Regards,
Gabrielle
Regards,
Gabrielle
The warm words from Gabi Vee get another round of applause from the crowd before Ariana wraps things up.
Ariana: Congratulations to everyone who won these new awards in the EWC Honors ceremony! In just a moment, we begin the rest of the awards for the 2019 season!
The audience applauds as Ariana leaves the stage, before we cut to commercial.
Back from commercial, the crowd applauds as Drake takes the stage.
Drake: Our next award honors the rookie that started from the bottom and made a big impact in the EWC this past season, and the nominees are a perfect example of this. EWC honored all the rookies this year with their own Pay-Per-View in Uprising, but tonight we look at the very best Rookie of the Year. The nominees are...
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
- Lunch Time
- Melody Malone
- Samantha Hamilton
- Scorpio
- Stephanie Matsuda
- Wes Walker

Drake: And the award goes to ... MELODY MALONE!
The audience cheers as Melody Malone makes her way to the podium to accept her award
Melody Malone: You know... when I was sitting in the audience last year, watching Dominic Sanders win the Rookie of the Year award as the Undisputed Champion, you sit there and you wonder 'How do you top something like that'? I guess the answer is, you win the Undisputed championship AND the Tag Team championship. So... whoever has plans on following up this act? You've got some big shoes to fill. Thank you.
With that, Melody gets another round of applause as she takes her seat, and we cut to commercial.
We come back from commercial to see the General Manager of Brawl make his way to the stage, Jim Connors waving to the crowd with a smile as he begins to speak.
Connors: Tonight we honor the best of the EWC, and I have the absolute pleasure of presenting the award for BRAWL Wrestler of the Year. I've been the General Manager for only six months, but have had a chance to see each and every one of these competitors excel in their craft. Frankly, they all deserve the nod tonight...but of course, like Highlander, there can be only one BRAWL Wrestler of the Year. Here are the nominees...
BRAWL WRESTLER OF THE YEAR
- Cyrus Black
- Gabrielle Visconty
- Iggy Swango
- Kendrick Kross
- Stephanie Matsuda

Connors: And your winner for BRAWL Wrestler of the Year...Cyrus Black!
Cyrus Black makes his way toward the stage, a bottle of tequila and a shot glass in his hand as he steps toward the podium. He pours a shot for himself before pulling out a sheet of paper, presumably with his speech on it. He sets the paper down before he starts to speak.
Cyrus: Brawl wrestler of the year. Thank you very much. Em.. I’m not good at speeches and being up for multiple awards I just rehearsed the one speech for all, and it’s a tribute to all the people in the EWC who have inspired me and helped me become better in 2019... I wouldn’t be Brawl wrestler of the year without you sexual tyrannosaurus’s, so here goes...
Cyrus takes a shot of tequila and then begins his speech.
Cyrus: Thank you to Dominic Sanders for letting me pin you multiple times and for letting myself and Mel use your bedroom while you are on your travels. I love the way my balls feel on your satin bedsheets. You are my hero. Thank you to Scorpio for falling off of a cage for me. Appreciate it man. Thank you to Gabrielle Visconty for giving us the lasting image of Tommy Love ejaculating on the International Championship. Get well soon bestie. Thank you to Bishop Church for constantly being a whinging little pussy on twitter and on Fighter Talk, you remind me to always smile and be happy because the last thing I ever want to do is be as full of hate as you and your partner are. I feel sad for you. Moving on... thank you to Ace King for always believing in me. Nevada Knights forever... woooo... Thank you to my brother Kyle Gautier for marrying me off to a donkey in Dublin. Most of all thank you to Melody Malone for just having great tits. Love you babe.... and thanks to whoever arranged the free bar tonight, imma right? Woooo... cheers!!!
Cyrus raises the award as security escorts him off of the stage. Connors makes his way to his seat to a round of applaused, just as AC Delaney steps up next.
Delaney: Ladies and gentlemen, Friday Night Rampage had a tremendous season with plenty of exciting moments and action from everyone on our roster, showing everyone what the green brand is all about on Friday nights from exciting singles competition to the best our roster had to offer in the tag team division...but tonight we honor the best of these competitors with the RAMPAGE Wrestler of the Year Award. The nominees are...
RAMPAGE WRESTLER OF THE YEAR

Delaney: And the award goes to ... ACE KING!
‘Ace of Spades’ plays, and Ace King rises from his seat, straightening his jacket as he hugs Shelley Silver, then makes his way toward the stage through all the crowd applause. He shakes hands with (insert presenter here), then takes a long look at the award before approaching the podium, the audience still showing its appreciation. He sets the award on the podium, taking a moment to collect his thoughts.
Ace King: This… This one means a lot.
The room falls silent as Ace puts his hand on the award, with the crowd clapping to fill the silence.
Ace King: When I came to EWC in 2016, I had no idea what my future looked like as a guy coming in from the outside. Thankfully, Michael Saint gave me a chance on Friday Night Rampage, and…
The crowd cheers as a camera shows the former Rampage general manager in the crowd; Ace offers a nod in his direction before continuing.
Ace King: ...And ever since I signed on the dotted line, I’ve jumped at any opportunity I could to show my pride in being part of the Rampage roster, so to stand before you as Rampage’s Wrestler of the Year… It’s a big deal to me, and I’m grateful for having the opportunity in the first place.
The room remains silent as Ace flips over the remainder of his notes.
Ace King: You look at Friday nights and you see the impact a trailblazer like Luke Wolfe and a revolutionary like Georgie Nickles have made, and now, you have people like Melody Malone and Samantha Hamilton… And yes, Scorpio, too… Chomping at the bit to take the torch and push Friday Night Rampage into its next stage of growth. They’re the here and now… But let me make something clear: In no way do I consider myself the past, so I’m ready to dig in and be part of that next generation where talent can truly shine on Friday nights. Thank you.
‘Ace of Spades’ comes back on, and the crowd applauds as Ace casually holds the award up before being led to the backstage area before we cut to commercial.

As we return from the break, FSW General Manager Chris Brock is standing at the podium.

Chris Brock: And the winner is..... KYLE GAUTIER!
Announcer: Accepting the award on behalf of Kyle Gautier, please welcome the Kilt Bros.
‘Uptown Girl' plays as Cyrus Black steps out from the back wearing his kilt, flanked by Shay Kitt wearing a green kilt and black crop top with drawn on abs, and Brandi LaCroix, red hair ablaze also in kilt regalia. Cyrus takes a second to take in his surroundings and furrows his brow.
Cyrus: Who are you supposed to be?
Brandi: Obviously we are Sweet Tay and DOG, here to help you accept the award for our good friend Kyle.
Shay hands Cyrus a small folded piece of paper. Cyrus opens it and reads.
Cyrus: Eighty-five to ninety percent off Dr. Martins…
Brandi: Besides, did you want us to accept in our Melodious and Iggance personas?
Cyrus lets the thought cross his mind for a second then shakes it off.
Cyrus: That's okay. The reason we're here is to accept the very deserving award for my brother Kyle for FSW Wrestler of the Year. I knew when he join me and David that fateful night on Ireland that this guy was something special.
Shay: From his return to FSW, he immediately positioned himself for a shot at the newly restored North American Championship. Which, we don't have to tell you, he won.
Brandi: Using an infectious combination of sassiness and genuine optimism, he carried that title through the remainder of the year. Despite finishing out the year on a major loss of not only the title but one of his gams,…
Cyrus: He remains a shining beacon of exactly what you want as the paragon of what you not only want but expect of your company.
Shay: He may be out for six to eight months to recuperate…
Brandi:… there is no doubt in our minds that he would be the FSW Wrestler of the year of 2020 upon his return.
Cyrus: So here's to you, Kyle! We promise not to let Gerald Dragon touch it or let Joe Porter get old on it.
Brandi and Cyrus both raise the award as security begins to escort them off the stage. Chris Brock leaves the stage to another round of applause as Marshall Evans and Hayley Kushnir approach the stage next.
Evans: EWC is one of the few companies in the industry to fully embrace the independent circuit, with the PRIME brand representing the best of the indies with its biweekly programming. On top of this, we had our very own PRIME Pay-Per-View this season with World Wide, and we go into the new year with a great vision for the brand as a whole, featuring some of the best competitors out there.
Kushnir: And tonight, we honor the cream of the crop, the PRIME Wrestler of the Year! The nominees are...
PRIME WRESTLER OF THE YEAR
- Dominic Sanders
- El Pablo
- Faith Rivers
- Jordan Sharpe
- Killjoy Ito
- Nevaeh
- Richard Garcia

Evans: And the award goes to ... JORDAN SHARPE!
Jordan Sharpe is taken aback, stunned, but he hurries up to the stage amongst the applause of everyone.
JFS: Wow, this is ... this in incredible. Prime is my home, I love this brand with everything I have. If you had told me last year that I would be the Wrestler of the Year on Prime in 2019 I would assume that you are cyber bullying me. I thank you to everyone that voted, I thank Prime for being such a kickass brand, and I hope to continue kicking those asses all around the world in 2020! Have a good night everyone!
Sharpe makes his way off of the stage as his music plays, and we cut to commercial.
We return to the 2019 EWC Honors Awards Show where Jimmy Fallon is waiting
Jimmy: Ladies and Gentlemen .. to present the award for EWC Pay-Per-View Event of the Year .. the breakout star of Zombieland 2 .. Zoey Deutch
The fans cheer as Zoey takes center stage
Zoey: Every year the EWC puts out incredible pay-per-view after incredible pay-per-view. What started with StrangleMania, has grown into Rumbles and Festivals. Year after year the EWC has continued to not only set .. but raise the bar. They are the standard in Wrestling .. and this year was no exception. From the very violent StrangleMania, to a showcase of first and second year Wrestlers. No stone was left un-turned when it came to the blood, sweat and broken bone action of EWCTV programming. Here are the nominees for PPV of the Year .. 2019
PPV OF THE YEAR
- Hardcore Revolution
- Night of Champions XVI
- EWC Rumble XVI (Rumble In Texas)
- Scars & Stripes
- StrangleMania XIV
- WrestleFest XVII

Zoey: And the award goes to ... WRESTLEFEST XVII!
A big applause as President Mac takes the stage and accepts the award from Zoey Deutch
President Mac: Why didn't I do this twenty-two years ago?
Mac laughs along with the audience
President Mac: Seriously though .. I want to thank the GM's of Monday Night Brawl, Friday Night Rampage, FSW and EWC Prime. Without them .. this .. dream .. wouldn't have become a reality. A Four Day Wrestling Festival .. people said I was crazy .. that it was too ambitious .. that we will fall flat on our faces and this would be the end of the EWC as we know it .. well .. aren't you all glad I didn't listen to all that f---ing noise
The fans clap, cheer and laugh as Mac drops the 'F' bomb on live TV
President Mac: Oops .. I forgot this is on cable TV too .. Honestly, from the bottom of my heart .. thank you. This award means that you all enjoyed this event, as much as we enjoyed putting it together. I am grateful to all those who worked their asses off behind the scenes .. to all the Wrestlers who showed up, met with fans .. and put on the greatest display of Wrestling that has ever been done outdoors. Four days .. over twenty matches .. from 10AM to 8PM there was something going on at all times .. and I cannot wait to do this again next year. So thank you once again. This event was done because of you and it was done for you! I love you all very much
Mac raises the Award and waves as Zoey Deutch returns to the stage to introduce the Brand of the Year Award
Zoey: The EWC started off with Monday Night Brawl back in 1997. Fast-forward twenty-two years, and we now have four incredible brands under the EWC umbrella. Monday Night Brawl, Friday Night Rampage, Future Stars of Wrestling and EWC Prime. Each brand brings a unique flavor and puts its own stamp on the EWC. Each with incredible Superstars making up their rosters .. these four brands battle for supremacy in our next award last year Brawl and Prime shared the award .. who will take it this year? Lets take a look once again at the nominees for 2019 Brand of the Year

Zoey: And the award goes to ... MONDAY NIGHT BRAWL and FRIDAY NIGHT RAMPAGE
Jim Connors and AC Delaney make their way to the stage to accept the award to a round of applause.
Delaney: I just want to express how much I appreciate this. It means a lot that the hard work I've put into making Rampage the best brand ever would be noticed, and I can appreciate the work that Jim Connors has put into maintaining the high standard that comes with running Monday Night Brawl.
Connors: Thanks, AC. I appreciate what you've been doing all year long with Rampage, and count myself as fortunate that the work I've put into Brawl the past six months has not gone unnoticed. Thank you all, I'm happy to announce that Brawl and Rampage WILL be sharing custody of this bad boy. Rampage keeps it on the weekends, since it's the Friday night brand, and Brawl will keep it during the week.
The crowd laughs, applauding as Delaney and Connors take their seats before we cut to commercial.
We come back from commercial to see Kevin Hart at the podium with the Award for Match of the Year
Hart: Holy shit .. EWC .. The mother f----ing EWC. Someone tell Victor Price that The Rock wants his suits back.
Kevin laughs along with crowd
Hart: Look, if you watched my Netflix special .. you know I'm busy. I am doing so much stuff. Building an empire. Wanting to be a billionaire. Raising my three kids .. soon to be four if you talk to my wife. But I don't think I'll ever have President Mac money. Mac is so rich .. his money has money. MacTron .. put that mother f---er on a bill y'all. I'm telling you. The EWC has been KILLING it. I mean KILLING it. Holy shit. Forget the Oscars .. how do I get a EWC Honors Hosing gig? Mac .. call me my brother. Caaaaallllllll me. Our next award honors the competitors that had the biggest match of the 2019 season. Seven nominated matches for 2019 .. these competitors gave it their all in the ring, and we shine a spotlight on their efforts. The nominees for Match of the Year are...

Hart: And the award goes to ... ACE KING VS SCORPIO
The S-Factor has a smirk on his face as he walks to the stage, the United States Championship proudly around his waist. He stands behind the podium and leans into the microphone...
Scorpio: Darling, was there ever going to be any other option? Monday Night of WrestleFest was frankly a cool down after the real main event, and as the winner of two of those three falls I think it is only right that I take the award home. Out there in Arles Ace King and I gave each other everything we had to give and then some, and bitch, we brought the house down. I suppose this is when I should give The Gambler the respect and thanks he deserves for giving me such a fight...
He pauses briefly, looking over to Ace King.
Scorpio: ... well I'm not going to. Match of The Year YES BITCH!
The crowd gathered for the EWC Awards begin to boo as Scorpio blows them a kiss and struts off. Once Scorpio is done gloating, Ace takes his opportunity to step up to the podium.
Ace King: It was obviously a disappointing night, from my perspective, but no matter what anyone tries to say, my main solace is knowing I threw absolutely everything I had into it, regardless of the result.
Ace takes a long look at Scorpio and the United States Championship that once rested on his shoulder, the crowd squarely behind ‘The Gambler.’
Ace King: I’d be lying if I said I haven’t thought about what might have been every single night since, but the thing about the past is that it can’t be changed. The match itself was brutal on multiple levels, and it stole the show as I thought it would, but I’m happy to leave it in the rear view mirror and focus on what lies ahead.
Ace simply shrugs his shoulders as he backs away from the podium as Hart returns to present the next award.

Hart: Well that was f---ing depressing. Holy shit. I mean .. I get an award .. I wanna dance. Party it up with my Plastic Cup Boyz .. Ace King gets an award and .. I just wanna curl up in a corner and die a slow death. I'm kidding .. We love you Ace .. With that, the next award honors a rivalry that went far beyond a single match, often taking place throughout most, if not the entire season. These nominees in particular are well known for being on the minds of many EWC fans in 2019. The nominees for Feud of the Year are...

Hart: And the award goes to ... is this a typo? Glitch in the Matrix? .. SCORPIO VS ACE KING!!
Scorpio has another wide grin on his face as he makes his way up to the stage displaying two fingers to the camera to represent the two awards he's scooped tonight.
Scorpio: Oh this is starting to feel familiar, and I like it! For the past year the Extreme Wrestling Corporation did all they could to quash my rise, to beat me down, to stop me messing up the status quo of their top fucking talent. Yes Cyrus, Melody, Dominic... I'm looking at you, bitches. Well I took the fight to their top poster boy, the 777-day United States Champion, The Gambler, the untouchable Ace King. Look how that went for him... so babies... in 2020... get ready because The Baddest Bitch On The Planet has his eyes set on every single one of you...
Once again he blows a kiss before exiting the stage. As Scorpio finishes his spiel, Ace slowly shuffles up to the podium.
Ace King: Regardless of what you think of either of us, at its core, the last three months saw two veterans of the business going at each other tooth and nail looking for any kind of advantage we could get.
As he speaks, the in-house production team throws up a picture of Ace standing behind Scorpio in a dress on Brawl, drawing a laugh from the crowd; ‘The Gambler’ eventually catches on and looks up at the screen.
Ace King: Yeah, that happened, too.
Ace shakes his head at the absurdity of the image, though a small smirk crosses his face as Scorpio wretches at the image.
Ace King: So, you get your name up in lights, and you’ve got your name in the record books now, Scorpio… I hope it was worth sacrificing your soul and everything that made you respectable along the way. I may have lost, but at the end of the day, I can still look at myself in the mirror and be happy with what I see… You? I highly doubt it. Someday, you’ll realize the world doesn’t revolve around you, and you’ll see just how ugly you really are.
‘The Gambler’ shakes his head in disappointment as he backs away from the podium. They eventually take their seats as we cut to commercial.
We come back to commercial to see Justin Timberlake at stage left
Emma comes onto the stage blushing to the big applause .. she nods her head at Justin before taking to the mic
Stone: Thank you Justin .. and thank you all! I appreciate that .. yes I'm engaged .. but for tonight .. my heart belongs to another. I am so excited to be presenting the Award for Holy Shit moment of 2019. This very prestigious award goes to the moment from this past year that left fans saying "holy shit." Fairly self-explanatory, right? These were the moments people will remember for years to come, but only one will be the Holy Shit Moment of the Year. The nominees are ...
HOLY SHIT MOMENT OF THE YEAR
- Ace King wins Undisputed
- Cyrus Black wins NOC XVI
- Malone Malone wins EWC Rumble XVI
- Dominic Sanders moves to Prime
- Scorpio defeats Ace King (WF XVII)
- Scorpio Heel Turn

Stone: And the award goes to ... Holy Shit ... SCORPIO DEFEATS ACE KING!!!
The camera focuses on Scorpio in his chair as he clutches his two awards and The United States Championship, and his ruby-red lips spread into a wide smile at taking a third. He walks up to the podium, leaving the awards in Crème de la Crème's lap, before he places his hands on a fourth. Scorpio raises the United States Championship above his head to boos from the audience.
Scorpio: Why are you gagging, I've brought it every fucking show for the whole year?!
More boos sound out as Scorpio smirks.
Scorpio: I mean to some this might have been 'shocking', but I prefer the word 'inevitable'. I mean here I am, a legend in this sport, on my return to what I do better than anyone in the world. I've gone from the Rampage mid card to being the one to End 777 and dethrone the unbeatable Ace King. HOW MANY OF YOU IN THIS AUDIENCE TRIED TO DO WHAT I DID?! HOW MANY OF YOU WALKED AWAY THE LOSER WHILE HE CONTINUED AS UNITED STATES CHAMPION?! WELL BITCHES... SOAK IT UP...
Once more he raises the title again, showing it off to the audience.
Scorpio: For years we put up with the same-old same-old, for years we rolled our eyes as Ace King took home the title time and time again. Well like a knight in shining armour coming to slay the dragon, I've freed you all from that monotony. Babies... I've drained the swamp of the Rampage roster... I HAVE MADE THE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP GREAT AGAIN! For all of you who abandoned me, 2020 is a new time, and I will welcome you back into the family. Let us Make The United States Championship Great Again TOGETHER!
He grins as the fans boo, and from the pocket of his tight trousers he pulls out a red cap displaying "MTUSCGA". Raising the United States Championship again Scorpio exits the stage with his third award amidst the hate from the audience as Emma steps back to the podium to present the next award.
Stone: Our next award goes to the baddest of bad, the wrestler that fans absolutely loathed this season. Our nominees reveled in the fans' hatred throughout the year, but only one can stand tall amongst the rest. The nominees for Most Hated Wrestler of the Year are...
MOST HATED WRESTLER OF THE YEAR
- Dominic Sanders
- Fabian Dufrenese
- Killjoy Ito
- Scorpio
- Stitches

Stone: And the award goes to ... DOMINIC SANDERS!
Dominic Sanders' music plays and he stands up from his seat. He extends a hand to Cora Whittaker, who takes it and stands up to her own feet. The two of them walk to the stage, up the steps, and join the presenter at the podium. Sanders takes the award and looks at it, that smug smirk spreading across his face.
Sanders: Last year, I thought it was hilarious when my buddy Rob Garcia won this award. Not only was he America's Most Hated, but he was probably the most hated globally.
Sanders smirks again as he sets the award down onto the podium.
Sanders: And now, this award stays in the family. But really... what choice did y'all have anyway? I mean, look at the other nominees for this award:
Stitches. Stitches the CLOWN. Nobody actually hates him. For the most part, they just fear him because he looks a little off.
Killjoy Ito? Killjoy is a phenomenal wrestler who says zero words. Had Tommy Love been on this list, then yes. I could see that. But no one hates Killjoy Ito. Hell... no one even knows what he sounds like.
Scorpio? Let's be honest. He's got a bit of a mean streak and turned his back on the people... but he also just beat Ace King for the United States Championship, giving us all one hell of an early Christmas gift! So why should anyone hate him when he's off putting tears in Ace's eyes?
And Fabian somethingrather? That's really all I need to say. Who even IS Fabian whatshisface?
So, did I deserve this award?
Sanders picks it up and looks at it again.
Sanders: Hell yeah, I did. My goal... America's Most Hated's goal... is to be so loathed that you can't stand the taste of my name in your mouth. You can't utter the words "Melody Malone" or "Iggy Swango" without upchucking just a tad because you're so jealous of us that it makes you sick.
Sanders lifts the award up into the air.
Sanders: Mission accomplished.
Sanders and Cora lock hands and walk off of the stage. They return to their seats as we cut to commercial.
We come back from commercial to see Lady Gaga on stage, ready to present the next award.
Gaga: Amongst the competitors in the EWC, a select few found the most tremendous support from the fans this past season, overcoming the odds to earn their respect and adoration. And of these, only one shines the brightest as Most Loved Wrestler of the Year. The nominees are...
MOST LOVED WRESTLER OF THE YEAR

Kyle Gautier

Gaga: And the award goes to ... KYLE GAUTIER!
Shay Kitt and Brandi LaCroix ascend the stage once again in acceptance of the award. As the applause dies down, Shay adjusts her purple sunglasses.
Shay: Knock knock.
Brandi: ….Who's there?
Shay: Abs.
Brandi: Is this because you got to be Gawolski?
Shay waves her hand for the bit to continue. Brandi sighs.
Brandi: Abs who?
Shay: Absolutely no one in this company is more beloved than Kyle Gautier. From his humble start as a sash wearing contender to one of the biggest stars of this company, Kyle Gautier has put a smile on mostly every face he has encountered.
Brandi: Whether he was proclaiming leadership in the tMc club, marrying off wrestlers to donkeys, or producing and starring in a musical the night before a brutal pay per view match, he did it with such aplomb as to not ruffle any feathers.
Shay: He's very fond of saying that ‘just because we have a job where we punch each other in the face doesn't mean we have to be dicks to each other afterwards.’
Brandi: He also takes time out of his schedule to support the arts, much like two mega fans who did a show of flattery and now stand before you. Without Kyle, this doesn't happen.
Shay: So we congratulate you, you absolute gem, you. You have sand continue to inspire countless people with your selfless ways and your inimitable charm.
Brandi: Salud!
They take their seat, as does Lady Gaga, and the crowd applauds as Seth Rogen and Zac Efron step onto stage to present the next award.
Seth Rogen and Zac Efron are now at center stage
Seth: Hello Nation .. heh heh heh .. sorry .. that was my Mac impression .. I jacked up and practiced saying 'Nation' every day for the last .. several minutes heh heh heh heh .. F--k .. sorry .. Ok .. Zac ..
Zac: I thought you were doing just fine .. I mean you look like Mac if he was homeless .. and I look like his son Max Carter if he was fit
Seth: All love Zac .. We are a family here .. one big happy Nation of Family .. a discord of hugs .. heh heh heh heh .. oh man .. I love Mac .. this is just .. its fun you know? Cause like .. I'm high and out of shape and just like .. in awe of these athletes .. I mean .. like .. heh heh heh heh ..
Zac: So apparently Seth is high right now ..
Seth: Nation nation nation .. Franco has to take a shot every time that's said tonight heh heh heh heh ..
Zac: We are here to present the award for Tag Team of the Year .. and Seth and I know a thing or two about tag team
Seth: It's not gay if its in a 3-way
Zac: I was referring to the fact we've done a couple of movies together
Seth: Right .. so was I heh heh heh .. Zac and I trust each other .. build off each other .. I mean .. I trained him to be as ripped as he is .. f---ing look at my arms man? I'm huge .. Nation ..

Seth: And the award goes to ... yes .. I love it .. heh heh heh .. REBELLE!
The crowd cheer as "The Rebel Child" Georgie Nickles makes her return to the EWC screen, walking up to the stage to collect ReBelle's award. With a smile on her face she leans into the microphone...
Georgie Nickles: You know it's just great to be ba--
Scorpio: GEORGIE I'M REALLY HAPPY FOR YOU, IMMA LET YOU FINISH, BUT THE S-FACTOR HAD ONE OF THE GREATEST YEARS IN EWC HISTORY!
The fans boo as Scorpio makes his way to the stage clutching his three awards, and Nickles sighs before stepping aside as Scorpio picks up his trophy and fourth award of the night.
Scorpio: FOUR! FOUR AWARDS TONIGHT! LOOK AT THAT! HAS THAT EVER BEEN DONE IN THE HISTORY OF THE EWC?!
More boos from the fans as Scorpio smirks.
Scorpio: ReBelle did the impossible, and made the Tag Team Division Great Again after the disaster of Shock and Awe... it's only right I get the recognition I'm due... Match of The Year... Feud of The Year... Moment of The Year... AND TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR! THE POWER I HAVE IN 2020 IS GOING TO BE UNMATCHED! GET FUCKING READY EWC!!!
He raises the awards before going to step off, when Nickles steps forward, sighing deeply. She stares at her partner before leaning to the microphone.
Georgie Nickles: Thank you for believing in us, thank you for cheering us, thank you for standing by us. You have all been family and supported us... just as ReBelle has always been a family... even if the family doesn't always see eye to eye...
She throws Scorpio a look as he obliviously clutches his four awards and The United States Championship, relentlessly posing for photographs that nobody is actually taking.
Georgie Nickles: Here's to 2020... and maybe even putting some egos in their place...
She winks tot he camera as she looks to Scorpio again, and he finally catches her looks, shaking his head and trying to furrow his brow as much as the botox will allow. Nickles raises her own half of the awards and gets a cheer from the fans as she heads back to her seat.
We return from commercial to a round of applause as Gabriel Iglesias approaches the podium, ready to present the next award.
Iglesias: Next up, we have the men of the EWC squaring off to see who the alpha male, the top dog...you get the drill. It's the Male Wrestler of the Year, and I gotta tell ya, I think any of these guys would definitely earn the honor! You've got champions and future Hall of Famers among the nominees, so let's see who they are...

Cyrus Black makes his way to the podium to around of applause from the audience
Cyrus: Male wrestler of the year! Thanks. Just to so everyone is clear I support all sexual orientations! I do not discriminate against any gender or their sexual preference and I never have. I just don’t want anyone misreading my words or getting their panties in a twist. Peace and love to all. Anyway as you know I’m not good at speeches and being up for multiple awards I just rehearsed the one speech for all, and it’s a tribute to all the people in the EWC who have inspired me and helped me become better in 2019... I wouldn’t be the male wrestler of the year without you sweaty meat pies, so here goes...
Cyrus down a shot of tequila and then begins his speech.
Love you babe.... and once morreeee thanks to whoever arranged the free bar tonight, imma right? Woooo... cheers!!!
Cyrus raises his award as security leads him off of the stage as Wonder Woman herself .. Gal Gadot makes her way to the center stage
Gadot: Our next award honors the women that have really made an impact not only in the EWC this season, but the wrestling industry as a whole. In a profession where the women are often looked down upon, the EWC has made it a point to celebrate women from the get go, and this season has been especially empowering for women everywhere...but only one can be Female Wrestler of the Year. A round of applause from the audience as Melody takes to the stage, a smile on her face as she steps up to the podium.
Melody Malone: I told myself if I won this award, I wasn't going to really say a lot but now that I've got it in my hand... I might have lied. I never imagined anything like this when I started, and I know this road was paved by some incredible women before me. Former Undisputed champions like Natalie Young, Candy, and there's honestly one woman I can truly say is responsible for the lions share of my success and me standing here with this award tonight. Ruthann, I know you're here tonight. From the top of my crown, to the bottom of my heart, thank you. For everything you did before I came, and for everything you've done since I've been here. You've influenced me more than you might ever know. This is for you tonight. Thank you.
The crowd gives a big round of applause as Melody heads back to her seat, before we cut to commercial.

Kawhi: And the award goes to ... ACE KING!
As he’s announced, Ace raises an eyebrow before ‘Ace of Spades’ plays, clearly surprised at the award. He offers hugs to his entire party before walking up to the stage and greeting (insert presenter here), then receives his second consecutive Champion of the Year award before casually strolling over to the podium, a thin smile on his face.
Ace King: Well, we’re here again, huh?
‘The Gambler’ offers the fans a sly wink as they laugh along with him; the relaxed Ace leans against the podium for a moment before getting a bit more serious.
Ace King: You know, it’s weird to be standing before you as a two-time Champion of the Year without a Championship to call my own, but…
Ace’s words are drowned out by a smattering of applause throughout the Microsoft Theater, so he pauses briefly to let them have their time before he continues.
Ace King: ...But all good things come to an end eventually, and my run as United States Champion was never going to be any different. I’ve had some time to think about that run over the last couple weeks… Seven-hundred and seventy-seven days, ten successful defenses, and a run that very nearly touched a fourth different year on the calendar… I’m proud of it all, and it really reinforced just how fortunate I am to have been a champion here in EWC. It’s also left me extremely hungry to get back there again, one way or another.
A rather raucous pocket of applause echoes through the Theater, yielding a cheeky grin from the former United States Champion.
Ace King: With the level of competition from top to bottom in EWC, being a champion means having your head on a swivel at all times. So, in a year where there were many double champions, to be in this position again… Truly, I’m thankful.
With that, ‘Ace of Spades’ picks back up, and Ace takes his leave from the podium amidst the applause from the audience.

Jimmy Fallon: And now ladies and gentlemen .. a special moment for us tonight .. one of the greatest female wrestlers in the history of EWC is about to be the sole inductee for the Hall of Fame .. Class of 2019
Justin Timberlake: Please welcome to the stage .. President Mac, Michael Saint, Ace King and Xplode
A huge applause erupts .. leading to a standing ovation as President Mac, Michael Saint, Ace King and Xplode all stand on the stage together
Mac: I met Ruth .. back in 2007 .. twelve years ago as of last week .. and she impressed me right from the start. Before she even signed a contract, before she ever stepped in the ring or talked into a mic. Ruth had this spark .. this .. essence to her and it made me want to know more.
Mac pauses to collect his thoughts as he smiles over at Ruthann
Mac: Ruthann came into the EWC like no other before her. She took the EWC by storm, not just by her ring ability but how she was outside the ring. She became a household name faster than anyone I can remember. She was always the hardest working person in any gym. Ruth is one of the kindest, most genuine & humble people I have ever known! I still remember when she won the EWC Championship at StrangleMania X back in 2015 .. what a moment that was .. what an accomplishment .. and here we are today .. I am so happy & excited for this moment for you Ruth! You deserve it. You earned it. You will forever be remembered by all of us. You will forever be appreciated by us. More importantly you will forever have our respect! We all love you! I am so incredibly proud of you. Congratulations
The fans applaud and cheer as Mac steps back and Saint steps up to the mic
Saint: The EWC has always been a haven for the best talent in the world and our Women over the years are a testament to that. Instead of a division we have been all inclusive. From Angel and Tigris to Amy Rosen and Beth Harte we have had the best. Now today it is a honor to induct Ruthless Aggression, because she not only took the example those ladies put down before her, but she improved upon it and surpassed it. Ruthann is truly a treasure to this company. Her talent is beyond compare. She is what all talent regardless of gender should strive to be. I am humbled and honored to be a part of this moment, because I can't think of any other person who deserves this more.
The fans applaud as Saint steps back and Ace King steps to the podium, straightening up his blood red tie before clearing his throat.
Ace King: No matter where Ruthann Hunter has gone in her career, she’s made an impact as a pioneer and trailblazer for so many wrestlers, both male and female, in this crazy industry we all love. I know I speak for a significant portion of the room when I say that the mere mention of her name brings an immediate level of reverence reserved for only the best of the best.
As he speaks, a series of Tweets pops up on the screen behind him, highlighted by...
A quick photo montage of Ace and Ruthann paired up in their days on the ultraviolent circuit is mixed in with the Tweets.
Ace King: Ruthie and I, we go back a long way, and any time we catch up like we did during WrestleFest weekend, it’s like we haven’t missed a beat. She’s been one of my best friends in the business for almost as long as I’ve been in it.
The screen shifts to Ace and Ruthann, along with El Pablo, enjoying each other’s company on one of the WrestleFest side stages two weeks ago.
Ace King: Through all the ups and downs, Team XTC was unquestionably the most fun I’ve had in my career. It may not have happened here, and we definitely had our fair share of fun, but what fuelled us as a collective was our competitive spirit, and Ruthann Hunter was the heartbeat that made us tick. She let the blood flow with the best of them, laying it all on the line every time she stepped through the ropes, and it’s that dedication to this business… This craft… This art… That has her taking her rightful place in the EWC Hall of Fame tonight.
Ace flips over his cue card as the audience applauds his words; he clears his throat once more before facing the crowd.
Ace King: I can truly say, from the bottom of my heart, that without Ruthann Hunter, there is no Ace King, whether it’s in EWC or otherwise. She helped open this particular door for me, and I’m eternally grateful to her for that.
With that, ‘The Gambler’ steps back from the podium, taking his place next to Xplode, Saint, and President Mac. Xplode now takes his place at the podium and is met with cheers from the fans
Xplode: Hello. It’s been a long time since I have stood on a stage while the EWC nation has screamed my name. I’ve missed this. There is no doubt about that. It almost feels like the first time for me again, the Goosebumps have returned, despite the fact that I have already stood here a few times as my friends were enshrined into the EWC Hall of Fame… and then were etched into history. As a HoF member myself, I can tell you that this is the greatest achievement that a competitor will ever receive. This day is more than championship belts. It’s more than rivalries. It's more than the present…
...it's about recognizing the past.
Tonight, it’s my honor to recognize someone who is very dear to me. She was my wife. She was my friend. She was also a legend. Ruthann Parks… and later Ruthann Hunter.. Competed in a time long before it was cool to be a female in wrestling. She stepped into that ring when it was still very much a man’s sport. People did not take her seriously until she left them no other choice. Ruthann became a World champion, the first woman to ever do so in the EWC. That strap did not define her legacy however. No, Ruthie was about compassion, love, positivity… and intensity. She stood by me through thick and thin and the same qualities were shared with anyone who referred to her as a friend.
Tonight, she joins me and a select group of others in the Hall of Fame. She will go down as the spark for change. Looking at the match card for events in the EWC these days, I am sure that she smiles with pride as she sees that women are not only accepted in the sport… but they are, more often than not, the standard for excellence. The EWC should recognize her for her bravery. You know, I remember a time long ago when Drake mentioned her during one of our feuds. He referred to Ruthie as the true unstoppable force behind my reign as champion. I have to admit… he was right.
Ladies and Gentlemen, it's my honor to introduce the newest member of the EWC Hall of Fame, Ruthann Hunter.
The fans cheer and all rise to their feet as Ruthann Hunter makes her way to the stage
Ruthann walks on to the stage after Jaden, Ace King, President Mac, and Michael Saint help to induct her into the Hall of Fame. Ruthann is wearing a black and red long dress that hugged her body that hits every inch of her curves with her hair in curls coming down around her face. She walked over to Ace King and gives him the XTC Symbol as they hug. She walked over to Mac and Saint and gives them both a big hug. She stood in front of Jaden as they both just lean their forehead together as she closed her eyes tight. She then place a kiss on his lips as she walked over to the stand.
Ruthann looked around at everyone sitting there as she closed her eyes as soft tears start to fall down her face. She clears her throat as she wipes her tears looking down at the paper in front of her. She began to speak but then stop for a bit before she took in another deep breath.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: Everyone just don’t know how much this moment means to me at this moment. I always thought I was a “ok” wrestler. I never once thought I would be good enough to be apart of a Hall of Fame for any company that I worked for. I always just had the goal in my life to put on the best show I can for the fans. I always just had the goal to display my love for this business out there inside of the ring. I always just want every little girl who was bullied... or living with people who love to put them down to start believing in themselves.
She took in another deep breath.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: When I saw my Mentor Roddy Piper in match as a child and learned about how his life was as a teenager. I knew at that moment if he could make something with his life that just maybe I can do the same thing. So, at the age of 17 once I got my GED I when on a search for Roddy Piper. I didn’t know if he would take me under his wing but I am so grateful that he has done that. If he didn’t I truly believe I wouldn’t be standing right here in front of your all at this moment.
She looked up into the sky as she mouthed love you Roddy as she looks back down at the podium and ran her fingers across it a bit more. She wipes her tears as she starts speaking some more.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: Roddy took a young girl and help become what she want to be but then she met other people who help her form a passion and love for what she loved to do. People know a bit about this other company I used to work before coming to EWC. People might believe I am still a bit bitter with how some things happen there towards me. To be honest I might be just a bit but there were some great memories I had there that help me to treasure and love what I have done today. Which is wrestling. I know when I step into EWC after been away from wrestling for about 1 and a half. I truly didn’t think I would make an impact like I did.
She nods a bit.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: If you have told me the night of the Battle Royal would be the night where my impact for this company would be the start of many other impact of things that will happen for me. I would have told you were on drugs. I walked into this Battle Royal not knowing what the surprise would be. I just knew in the back of my mind I want to win it. When I won and later on learned what the prize was I didn’t think I would actually win a chance to be the first woman to win the EWC Championship. In my road to make that happen I ran across the one and only Kurt Newman. A man who is known to be one of the best in this business and also a fellow Hall of Famer. I felt deep down I couldn’t beat him. I went into this match knowing deep down. I can’t beat him but something happen I did. It was like something inside of me just turn inside of me and I want to make him “my bitch” Sorry Kurt. -laughs a bit- I truly felt in the moment with the fans screaming at us and how we were just doing EVERYTHING you can think. When I heard Kurt say the words “I QUIT” screaming out in pain. That when a part of me start to believe just maybe I could do this. It didn’t only shocked the hell out of me that I want this match but many in the back. Which started rumors about around the locker room.
She took in a deep sigh.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: That when those rumors started to affect me and make me think about how I was told in the past how I was nothing. Makes me start thinking about how fellow wrestlers use to talk about how I will never be something that everything that things only happen because of the company I am with. Even the old school fact you are just a hardcore wrestler, you a woman... and everything. All these things started to cloud my mind. So, I was about to step into the biggest match of my life with all these doubts but then my adopted daughter told me. “Momma, why people think women can’t hold a World Title?” That when I told her “ Because people are small minded and Women can do whatever they set their mind to do. Women have the power to become something that many never seen before especially in wrestling. So, I walk into that Championship match and then walked out as the first EWC Woman Champion.
She wipes her tears.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: I feel in the world of wrestling at this moment every woman is making people truly realized that Women Wrestlers are just wrestlers just like the male wrestlers. We eat, sleep, bleed and live this business like any other man out there. We put our bodies and pour our sweat and tears to make everyone know us women are not only just as good as the boys in the back! We are just as great as them! It makes me sick to see how companies is going around saying their were the first that help place women wrestling on the mat. When right here at EWC we have by letting us females get in the ring with some of the best male wrestlers. This is a company that don’t look at gender at all. This is a company that always had the motto “Bring your best in the ring.” Which I believe I know deep down because I am an example of that.
She looked around at the crowd. She places her hair behind her ear.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: I didn’t stand to make an impact in a company that eat and breath wrestling for it not to have some of the best of the best women wrestlers wanting to be apart of a company where they could do those things. Who want to make history! Who want to show everyone how much they love this business! Who want to show to everyone you can belittle me as a woman and as a person but I will rise among the ashes and show to EVERYONE. I am the best! So, I want to thank everyone for believing in me because this moment wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for the fact you have faith in me. I have to get this out because Luke Wolfe, if you didn’t see me as a threat I know for damn sure. I wouldn’t be standing here in the Hall of Fame either. The matches we had together in my eyes help me come to peace with myself when it came to my abilities. The matches we had help me a lot after I lost the title. It made me realize something. You don’t always need to have a title around your waist to make impact among people and the fans and the company you are apart of. It takes heart, passion and just damn craziness to let everyone around you see just as great you are. So thank you from the bottom of my heart and good luck with your retirement from this business you truly love but just so you know.
She smirks a bit.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: I also can’t forget about the men that is standing right behind me. When I was in a small company name CZW I met Ace King, El Pablo, Reid and a few others. They took a young girl who was wet in the business under their arms. They help her see that she can try to act like she didn’t care about having friends into help forming her family. A family she could trust and truly do care for her. A family that will always be there for her no matter what and even though Reid will not admit it. I love them with everything because of them. I might not have let the people I met down the road into my life.
She smiles a bit, then looks over to President Mac.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: When Mac, call me and he told me he remembers when I was here many moons back me and would like for me to come back to the company when he was going to reopen it. I was like hmm does he truly remember how bad I was back then. I was realllly bad. Even I will admit that but he told me he saw something in me and wanted me to sign to EWC. If it wasn’t for him opening that door for me. I wouldn’t have been able to add more people to my family my fellow Hall of Fame BCD, Saint, Shadow Man, Kurt, Shelly, Mark Storm just to name a few into my life. These people hang with me outside of the walls of this company and help me build my confidence in myself and help me to see what I was made of but it wasn’t only them.”
She smirks a bit looking over at Jaden.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: Jaden and I have known each other for a very long time since I was 17 years old. So, yes that make him older than me. (laughs a bit) Our mentons God Bless their Souls Piper and Terry were friends. They knew each other and while I was training by Piper. Piper took me to a show and there was Jaden. Jaden and I truly didn’t like each other but we slowly started to see each other as friends. He actually trained me a bit also. It all change on my 18th birthday. A few months later we never saw each other again till the party at EWC opening was happening. Now only did I learned he was here but he was going to be my boss.
She places some of her hair behind her ear.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: Since things didn’t end between us not so good. You know of course I couldn’t stand him but I learned to forgive him. People could never understand why I pick to be with Jaden after some of the things he has done to me. I also have done things by not thinking I wasn’t good enough to be by his side. . So it was a two way street between us but we always overcome anything that was placed in front of us. The other reason why I truly can trust and loved this man to death it because of the respect he has for me. What made us unique and special. We both knew the other person can handle their own battles. He just doesn't know how much I treasure the fact he didn’t fight any of my battle. He let me fight them on my own. He always would say to me “Next time you see them make sure you make them paid.” or “People want to believe it because of me you become champion go show them how it was you that did that not me.”
Ruthann started to have some tears coming down her face a bit as she wipes them.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: Every time I heard those words it place a fire under me he just didn’t know. He knew how much I want EVERYONE to see how much of a fighter and how strong of a person I am. He knew how much I just didn’t want people to see me as a “paper Champion” from around that time. That is why I am standing in front of you today in the history books of been the only woman to win the Television Title 3 different titles. So, thank you for giving me that respect and also having the faith in me that help drive me to be the best. You always want me to remember I have the right to have my own career and do what I need to do have a great one. Always push me to be the best. Always push me to be the Queen you knew I could be for EWC around that time. Everyone else might have believe us two wasn’t a fit for each other but you and I show them. We were perfect for each other. Now I can say I am truly have the right to be called your Queen.
She give him a wink as he winks her back as look back over at the crowd as she took in one more last deep sighed.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: If you feel upset or hurt at this moment about what someone is saying about your wrestling abilities or your appearance or just want to belittle you for any damn reason. Prove them wrong. I have proven EVERYONE in the past who felt a woman who with no educational, can’t speak proper english, who is only a harcore wrestler, who is talentless, who only get things just because of who she with all wrong! I show them it your passion, hardwork and dedication to what you love that makes you move mountains to get to the top but also make you great. So, remember there will always be the ones who will question you about wanting to step inside of the ring against a male wrestler. There will always be the ones who will question the fact you want to put your beautiful body through a table or let your face get bruises from a kick or punch out of the love of a sport you treasure deep down. They will think you are sick and crazy . There will always be the ones who will question the fact why do you believe you can be on the same level as male top star.
She smirks.
Ruthann "Ruthless Aggression" Hunter: All you have to tell them because I can do whatever the hell I want because I am just that damn good. I am the best in what I do out of love. So, again, thank you for letting me step inside of that ring with your guys to help young girls see that they could have a future in a business that will not look at their gender anymore and let them be something. Thank you.
Ruthann took a bow out towards the crowd with a soft smile as they give her a deserved standing ovation and we fade to commerical
Back from commercial, there is a standing ovation for the next presenter...Mr. Stark himself, Robert Downey Jr. as he steps up to the stage to present the next award.
RDJ: I have to admit, I greatly appreciate the opportunity to come back for tonight's proceedings. Having kept an eye on the product throughout the year, it's been absolutely amazing to see what all these competitors do to make a name for themselves. I mean .. none of them had to face Thanos .. but .. I'm kidding .. these men and women are the real superheroes .. real blood .. real sweat .. real tears .. putting it all on the line ... night in and night out .. And now, as we bring the night to a close, we honor the absolute best of the best here. These men and women give everything they have on a regular basis, and we're looking to give them the spotlight they deserve. With that in mind, let's look at the nominees for 2019 Wrestler of the Year...

RDJ: And the award goes to ... surprise, surprise... CYRUS BLACK!
Cyrus makes his way to the stage, looking somewhat worse for wear after the amount he's had to drink tonight.
Cyrus: Wrestler of the year. Why thanks. As you know I’m not good at speeches and being up for multiple awards I just rehearsed the one speech for all, and it’s a tribute to all the people in the EWC who have inspired me and helped me become better in 2019... I wouldn’t be wrestler of the year without you sweaty meat sacks, so here goes...
Cyrus down his glass of champagne and then begins his speech.
Cyrus: Thank you to Dominic Sanders for letting me pin you multiple times and for letting myself and Mel use your bedroom while you are on your travels.
