"Come on Allen! One! Two!"
Allen gritted his teeth as he felt the weight of the barbell on his shoulders. Sweat was pouring out of his forehead as he tried to maintain his form to do a proper squat. His childhood friends: Scott and Deshawn were standing in front of Allen once again fucking with the young man. They knew damn well that he was squatting more than two times, Allen was at his 10th squat and is already feeling like his entire body was about to collapse. He'd been training nonstop at Planet Fitness since 3:00 in the morning trying to not only stabilize his knee but to get increase his weight in muscle. During rehab, Allen had radically changed his diet he threw out all of the sweetened and salty food and drinks in favor of more water and lean meats such as poultry and fish as well as fruits and vegetables.
While he was recovering, Sandra sent Allen a book called: the Abs Diet as well as a detailed plan of a dieting plan the two of them came up with after Allen's knee surgery. Much to Sandra (and to an extent Allen's) surprise, he remained dedicated to the plan trying to build more muscle upon his thin frame. He hit the Gym harder than he usually did armed with a knowledge on what he wanted to work on. From his chest to his knees, Allen made sure not to half ass anything he did while at home maintained a healthy diet. After all 80 percent of a person trying to get stronger was their diet. In addition, Allen also learned how to cook: Meatless chicken and a Vegetarian Burger served as a fine replacement for McDonalds and the other fast foods he had been consuming before his injury. Allen needed to be a person who would last in the ring, he already heard the whispers of him being injury prone and Allen is working over time to prevent that from happening.
Allen lifted the Barbell as high as he can to perform his 11th squat before releasing the weights to his feet. "Fuck me," he groaned falling to his knees breathing hard. It was to always go all out, no pain no gain? Fuck that shit, how can you function if you're in pain all the time. "Ah shit come on Allen," Scott said. "Don't be a bitch! We got a long way to go!"
"I've been going hard for 3 hours straight," Allen said breathing heavily. "I think some rest would do me some good."
"Your record was 22," Deshawn said helping Allen up. "You would think your ass would be up to the challenge today! Come on man! You would think after losing at Parabellum, you would actually go all out."
Allen snatched the towel that was hanging from Deshawn's shoulder and wiped his face with it. "Nah," he said. "I'm pissed but I gotta make sure I'm not burning myself out with this training. Gotta take it slow."
