[SINGLES MATCH]
Tyler Bradford
VS Ruby Clifton
VS Ruby Clifton
We come back from commercial, heading straight to ringside where commentary is standing by!
Aiello: Our first contest of the evening is the newcomer Tyler Bradford versus the last Clifton standing. Though nobody really knows where Ruby has been all this time it's nice to see her back but she will have a tough test against the man making his Brawl debut, Tyler Bradford. Bradford made his debut for the company in Phuket at the Parabellum PPV where things didn't go as I'm sure he was expecting.
Bennett: It was an Elite Icon amidst the peasants in that match Joe, at least that was how Tyler Bradford saw it, and the peasants were in revolt! Let's see if he can do any better this week one on one against Ruby.
Stroup: The following match is scheduled for one fall! Joining us first, from Philadelphia PA, weighing in at 122 pounds ... RUBY CLIFTON!
Light purple lights begin flicker through the arena as "Don't" by Ed Sheeran begins to blare over the speakers as Ruby Clifton steps out from behind the curtain with Black Velvet right beside her. The crowd isn't thrilled to see her as Ruby is grinning from ear to ear. She and Black Velvet walk down the ramp. Ruby slides into the ring and leans in one of the corners.
Stroup: And her opponent, Miami Beach Florida, weighing in at 223 pounds, He is Iconic! ... TYLER BRADFORD!
"Iconic" by Jaxon Gamble plays as Tyler Bradford, dripping with ego and obnoxiously smacking on a wad of chewing gum, swaggers down to the ring doing his best not to come into contact with the fans. At the bottom of the steps he pauses to spit his gum in the direction of the ringside fans before he arrogantly stomps up the stairs and climbs into the ring where his salute is greeted by a chorus of boos.
DING DING DING
Ruby rushes at Bradford to quick start the match but he steps halfway out of the ring, using the ropes and the ref as a shield from her assault. Josh Daniels is forced to push her back as Tyler re-enters the ring dusting off his palms and pointing to his head to indicate his intelligence. Outside the ring Black Velvet beats on the mat and yells insults at Bradford, causing him to roll his eyes and laugh. But the grin quickly fell off his face when Ruby launches off the ropes hitting him with a Velvet Ropes Flying Lariat that sends him rolling out of the ring to the floor where he clutches at his head and neck while yelling insults back over his shoulder. Something he says causes Black Velvet to run at him. Bradford begs off and back pedals, doing his best to avoid allowing her to get her hands on him. In the ring Josh Daniels starts the count:
1...
2...
3...
4...
5...
6...
7...
8...
9...
Bradford takes full advantage of his time outside the ring, rolling under the bottom rope just before he gets counted out.
Aiello: Tyler Bradford taking his sweet time before getting back into this match!
Bennett: He was taking a breather, Joe! A man as smart as he is knows when to rest and heal up.
Ruby rushes to meet him, catching him with a stomp to the side of the head. She goes for a second boot but Tyler grabs her foot and uses it to push her back and off balance. Maintaining control of her leg Bradford tries to lock on a Figure Four but Ruby kicks away from him. Tyler goes to grab her by the hair but Ruby catches him with an Uppercut. Bradford stumbles back and Ruby gets to her feet. Springboarding off the ropes she hits him with a Savate Kick that glances off of his shoulder sending him off balance. Launching herself at him she takes him down to the mat with an Annislam Tilt-a-Whirl DDT. She goes for the quick pin:
1
...
2
...
Kickout!
Aiello: Wow, what a close one for Ruby here!
Bennett: Tyler got taken by surprise there, but you can bet he won't let that happen again!
Taken off guard by the flurry of furious offense Tyler has abandoned his cocky attitude in favor of a deep and determined frown. Getting to his feet he goes after Ruby with a fury of his own. He hits her with punches, slaps and chops, ending the attack with a thumb to the eye. Black Velvet yells at the ref while Ruby clutches at her eye. Bradford ignores the official's warning in order to continue the assault. Kicking her hard in the stomach he uses his superior size to pick her up for a Body Slam.
Giving her some space he steps back to mock the crowd before he points and hurls an insult at Black Velvet before he sprints at Ruby, who has had the time to sit up off the mat, punting her right in the face. Ruby's head snaps back at an ugly angle and she hits the mat hard. Very satisfied with himself Bradford raises his arms to the crowd who greet his actions with a chorus of hate.
With a laugh Bradford goes in for the kill, but Ruby isn't quite dead yet. She comes up off the mat, Headbutting Tyler hard under the chin with the back of her head. She follows up with a barrage of punches, elbow strikes and a Dropkick. Ruby goes for the Shining Wizard that she calls Ruby Vision which leaves Bradford seeing red. She goes for the pin again:
1
...
Kickout.
Tyler Bradford comes up swinging, knocking her backwards with the force of his blows. Furious and frustrated Bradford charges Ruby, catching her with a Snap Suplex. Picking her up by the hair he mockingly knees her in the side of the head several times ringing her skull like a bell. Holding onto her arms he presses her down to mat with his foot before stomping on her face a few times with the bottom of his boot to let her know that he indeed hates her. Picking her up by the hair he sets her up in the dead center of the ring. Swaggering away he grins at the crowd and turns on Ruby, putting his finger to his lips to shush her before hitting her with a Running Knee to the face. The blow knocks her senseless and there is very little resistance as Tyler sets a boot on Ruby's chest for the pin as Josh Daniels counts:

DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall... TYLER BRADFORD!
Bradford rolls out of the ring to avoid Black Velvet who rolls in to check on Ruby. Swaggering up the ramp Bradford stops to smirk back down at the ring where Ruby was starting to come around. Extending his arms he talks trash to the fans and the camera before turning with a flourish and walking back through the curtain.
Aiello: What an amazing match to kick the night off, folks! A great effort from both competitors here, but Tyler Bradford comes out on top with the win in his official BRAWL debut!
Bennett: And what a cocky way of doing it, too! Ruby gave it a great effort but Tyler seemed ready to handle the challenge.
Aiello: Folks, the action only gets hotter on this Texas summer night! We are just moments away from Hazel Overton taking on Zack Tyler, don't go away!
Camera cuts to backstage, where the returning BRAWL General Manager has some company...
Callie Clark walks into the office of Jim Connors, her bodyguard Tori in tow and an annoyed look on her face.
Callie: Jim! We need to talk, why haven't I been booked for a match on Brawl lately? Are you trying to hold me down?!
Jim has a nervous look on his face as Callie glares at him, but he clears his throat and speaks up.
Connors: Actually I'm glad you're here Callie because I've been meaning to talk to you about something. I've been thinking, you've had a rough go of things pretty much since you arrived in EWC but even more so this season, so after the Hard Times Match I was thinking maybe we could give you a chance to build yourself back up and improve on your skills, so just as a temporary thing, I wanna send you to work Gambit next week.
Callie raises an eyebrow and then starts laughing.
Callie: That's a good joke Jim, I see you developed a sense of humor while you were gone huh? Me, on Gambit.
Callie stops laughing and gets a serious look.
Callie: No seriously, when is my next match?
Connors: Next week....on Gambit. I uh, wasn't joking. Consider it a chance to get your focus back, not a punishment.
If looks could kill, Jim Connors would be dead right now with the look Callie is giving him. She looks over at Tori now, who doesn't react, then turns her attention back to Jim, and now a wicked smile crosses her face.
Callie: Fine, you wanna send me to Gambit? Fine. But just know, you just made a powerful enemy and this is going to be the biggest mistake you ever made. I don't care who you throw against me, because something bad is going to happen to them. Don't say I didn't warn you, and don't even think about trying to fine me for what I'm going to do.
Callie smirks and walks out of the room, Tori leans in close to Connors now.
Tori: You uh, might wanna avoid her for a bit. Just a heads up.
Tori now follows Callie out of the room and the cameras catch Callie storming right for the exit as we move to a commercial break.
PICKING UP THE PIECES!
[SINGLES MATCH]
Hazel Overton
VS Zack Tyler
VS Zack Tyler
We come back from commercial and that bombshell regarding Callie Clark to return to ringside!
Aiello: Wow, what a twist! Callie Clark is back, but is being set to compete on GAMBIT at the behest of Jim Connors. Folks, our next match comes to us straight out of England.
Bennett: I believe we are in Houston Texas this week Joe.
Aiello: Thank you Steve, but I was referring to our two competitors. Hazel Overton lives in London and Zack Tyler was born in Cambridgeshire. This is the second meeting between these two and we should be in for a very interesting match with Hazel coming off of a disappointing loss in the cage at Parabellum and Tyler continuing to get back into the swing of things after his hiatus.
Bennett: At any rate I think it's safe to say that these two polar opposites don't share a lot of affection for one another and they won't be too polite to prove it.
Stroup: The following match is scheduled for one fall! Joining us first, currently residing in London, England and accompanied to the ring by Amy Jonas, she is London's Finest, The Golden Bitch of Brawl... HAZEL OVERTON!
"Show Stopper" by Danity Kane begins to play as Hazel Overton steps out from behind the curtain with her publicist Amy Jonas right beside her. Hazel is showing her displeasure toward the audience as Amy is jotting down somethings in her phone. Hazel slides into the ring and walks to the farthest corner and sits on top of it while waiting for her opponent.
Stroup: And her opponent, from The Alley Out Back, weighing in at 175 pounds ... ZACK TYLER!
The lights go dark as an image of Zack in seen backstage. By now on the entrance stage, fog machines are covering the platform. He stares into the camera with a deep soul stare before the camera fades. Just before the camera cuts off, a quick glimpse of a Red circle with a Red Left hand palm print is seen. Zack's music then plays. A Red flash of light illuminates the entrance stage. Zack rolls out slowly on a skateboard dressed in a Black full length coat with his arms folded over his chest. As he approaches the ring, the skateboard rolls under the ring as he rolls under the bottom rope onto his stomach. The ringside camera catches an up-close image of Zack as he smiles and blood protrudes from his mouth down his chin. Slithering into the corner, he grabs the ropes and pulls himself up to his feet, removing his coat. His music by now has looped or replayed until he folds his hands together as if praying. His eyes roll in the back of his head and the lights come up to normal.
DING DING DING
Hazel stands in the middle of the ring with her hand on her hip, sizing Tyler up with a look of disgust on her face. Zack cocks his head to one side, weaving his upper body from side to side Axle Rose style like a snake as he slithers towards her. Holding up his left hand he shows her the mark on his palm. Hazel responds with a shake of her head and a hard slap to his face. The paintbrush knocks him back a step and he puts his hand to his left cheek where her strike has left a red hand print. Hazel steps back, her fists at the ready, waiting to see how he will respond.
His response is not telegraphed enough for her to block a hard boot to the gut. With a sick sort of smile Zack drives her face first into the mat with a DDT. He rolls her over to attempt the cover but Overton is fighting her way out of the fall before the ref's hand can come down even once. The two trade blows as they both get to their feet. Hazel whips Tyler towards the ropes, hitting him with a dropkick on the return trip. Zack goes down and Hazel whips her hair out of her face, yelling something less than kind at him as he struggles to regain his bearings.
Aiello: Hazel Overton firmly in control at the start of this match, looking to make a statement against Zack Tyler!
Bennett: You're damn right she is, Joe! She's living up to her moniker as The Bitch here!
Zack gets to his knees, rubbing blood from a split lip. Hazel hollers at him again and her words bring a smile to his now ruby red lips. He spits a gob of blood in her direction. Disgusted, Hazel manages to avoid the sputum. Furious she rushes him but is tripped up when he hits her with a Drop-Toe-Hold into the ropes. Hazel's body rebounds off of the unforgiving steel cables back into an improvised version of a Hangman's Neck Breaker.
Tyler kips up off the mat, spinning at speed he attempts a Grapevine, but again Overton struggles out of it, trapping his leg with her own legs and twisting her hips. But the attempted defense backfires as it serves to give Zack her back. He goes for a Rear-Naked Choke but before he can get it fully cinched in Hazel manages to make it close enough to grab the ropes. Josh Daniels calls for the break but Tyler holds on for as long as he can, letting go just short of disqualification.
Getting up pissed Zack Tyler turns his back on his opponent to argue with the ref. A shaky Hazel is not so distracted by pain that she fails to see an opportunity. Moving quickly she rolls Tyler up from behind in a small package pin:
1

Tyler fights hard and kicks out strong just short of the loss. He pulls himself into the corner where he glares at Hazel who rubs at her throat and answers with a smirk of her own. Zack pulls himself up the ropes and again the two size each other up. They lock up in a Collar and Elbow, pushing each other around the ring, fighting for control. Tyler tosses her with a Hip Toss. Throwing himself into the ropes he rebounds with a Knee Strike to the back of her head. Picking her up by the hair he goes for the ZT Stretch Double Chickenwing. Hazel manages to reverse him into a Standing Arm Bar.
Zack hits her in the head with a Back Elbow strike to break the hold and sends her into the ropes, hitting her with a Leg Lariat on the return trip. Picking her up before she can recover he sets her up in the Tree of Woe. Running the width of the ring he hits her with a Step Up Jumping Knee Strike before bringing her back into the ring with a version of the Monkey Flip. Climbing up the turnbuckles he vaults backwards into the Fall From Grace. He goes for the pin:

...
Kickout!
Aiello: Zack nearly getting the win there!
Bennett: Gonna take a lot more than that to take Hazel out, Joe!
Tyler smacks the mat in frustration and goes to pull Hazel up, punching her a few times before he attempts to hit her with the Left Hand Drop. Hazel pushes him off hitting him with some fists and chops to confuse him before delivering the Sugar Free Snapmare Driver and locking on the London Comes Calling. The ref goes in to check for the tap out while Zack Tyler struggles and shouts in pain.
With his free arm Zack starts to club at Hazel's head until she is forced to release the hold. She goes to stomp him but he rolls out of the way and finds his feet. Tyler rushes at her intending another Knee Strike but he's met with the Tooth Decay Superkick which she follows up with a Hazed and Confused Double Underhook DDT for good measure. She hooks the leg:

DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall... HAZEL OVERTON!
Hazel sweeps her blond locks out of her face and stands over the fallen form of Zack Tyler with a smug look on her face. She points to herself and raises both fists above her head as she berates the crowd. Posing and laughing she steps off of Tyler, who rolls out of the ring where he sits in the corner of the ringside railing with a vacant and sadistic look on his face that remains as he watches Hazel strut her way back up the ramp.
Aiello: What a match, folks. Zack really starting to find his footing here, but Hazel Overton came out with the win!
Bennett: And another trip to the pay window for The Bitch!
Aiello: Folks, up next is Darius making his BRAWL return as he takes on Antoni Malietoa and...wait a minute...
Camera cuts away from ringside to find out what's going on...
The camera cuts to the parking lot where Callie Clark is seen headed to her vehicle. As soon as she reaches it, Darius steps into frame and stands in front of the door, much to the annoyance of Clark.
Darius: Where are you headed? The performance center where you can prep for your grand Gambit debut?
Darius chuckles to himself as Callie rolls her eyes and flips him off.
Callie: Sending me to Gambit is going to be the biggest mistake that idiot ever made, trust me.
Callie has a little grin cross her face and looks over at Tori.
Darius: Well that little finger was rude. Did Flip really beat you THAT bad!? He gets to captain team Brawl, sends you off to Gambit, and now being rude to people who are just trying to make conversation? Jesus, I could’ve sworn you were more than … this. It’s quite disappointing.
Callie glares at Darius and shakes her head.
Callie: Bad luck is a fucking bitch, but so am I. One day, I'm going to get my revenge on Flip, trust me. But for now, it seems I have to prepare for a...play date with some unfortunate soul on Gambit. If you want a taste of what I can do, maybe you should tune in.
Callie winks as an evil grin crosses her face.
Callie: After all, it might be the last time you get to see my opponent.
Darius just scoffs, then pats Callie on the shoulder.
Darius: Yeah? Alright then, kiddo. You say it's bad luck and you go on ahead and you do just that; brutalizing some developmental talent will truly put you on the road to greatness. Now if you don't mind, I have a match to go win.
Darius just chuckles then walks out of frame, Callie staring daggers into him as we move to a commercial break.
A SAMOAN WELCOME FOR THE RETURNING DARIUS!
[SINGLES MATCH]
Darius
VS Antoni Malietoa
VS Antoni Malietoa
We come back from commercial heading straight to ringside where commentary is standing by.
Aiello: It seems we have a bit of a collision course between Callie Clark and Darius, who is up next as he takes on Antoni Malietoa in his return to BRAWL!
Bennett: I'm still kinda pissed that Darius decided he needed some sorta break from the red brand, but if his time on Paramount has toughened him up at all we'll see how he fares now that he's back!
Stroup: The following match, set for one fall, Joining us first, being accompanied to the ring by Elissa Bradley, he is from Albany, New York, weighing in at 265 lbs ... DARIUS!
As soon as "Burn It Down" begins to play, plumes of thick white smoke covers the stage, Darius and Elissa Bradley emerge from within, Darius holding Elissa with one hand, his bat in the other, and donning looks of absolute aggression and determination on both of their faces.
Darius hypes himself up, slams the bat against the ramp a few times, then rushes down the ramp and slides into the ring. He leaps onto one of the turnbuckle and harasses the crowd for a moment, smacks the bat on the top of the ring post a few times, then holds the bat high into the air with one hand and throws devil horns up with his other hand as he waits for the match to begin.
Stroup: And the opponent, making his way to the ring From Apia, Samoa by way of Auckland, New Zealand weighing in at 254lbs......He is The Samoan Warrior.........ANTONI......MALI-E-TOA!!
Fog engulfs the entrance ramp, highlighted by green lights as "Be Somebody" by Fort Minor begins to play throughout the arena. From the smoke emerges Antoni Malietoa with his eyes wide and arms out to his sides. As the fog clears, Antoni takes a step forward as he psychs him self up with a yell. The crowd begins to cheer for the Great Warrior. Antoni makes his way to the ring, pulls himself up from the floor by the top rope and then steps over the top rope and into the ring as he prepares to do battle.
DING DING DING
Darius runs at Antoni hitting a Clothesline. Nobody moves. A second one and again nobody budges. Both men stare at each other as they work out their next move. Antoni lashes out with a Right Hand but it is ducked and Darius attacks Antoni with Right Hands of his own. Darius takes a step back before running at Antoni hitting a High Knee to the jaw and a Bulldog that pulls him out of the corner. Darius runs off the ropes looking for a Basement Dropkick but Antoni moves and Darius hits nothing but canvas. Antoni is on his feet and hits Darius with a series of Elbow drops. Antoni lifts Darius to his feet and attempts a Right Hand. Darius blocks it and, in pain from the Elbows, hits one of his own. It sends Antoni back off the ropes where Antoni connects with a Spear. He makes a cover.

THR... NO! KICK OUT!
Antoni rolls onto his side breaking the count.
Aiello: Both men getting a near fall here in the early goings, this could be a tough one yet!
Bennett: You can say that again, Joe! Darius already digging down deep by the looks of it.
Darius pulls Antoni's hair dragging him to his feet. Darius runs off the ropes hitting a Flying Clothesline that knocks Antoni to the mat. He runs off the ropes again as Antoni gets back to his feet. This time Darius grabs Antoni in a Bulldog leaping over the ropes and bringing Darius' throat down over the rope. Darius doesn't let go. He continues to pull Antoni down across the ropes as the referee counts. At four and a half, Darius releases his grip sending Antoni flying backward. Darius climbs to the top turnbuckle and throws himself at Antoni hitting a flying Back Elbow that staggers Antoni. Darius grabs Antoni and begins Raining Elbows on him.

THR... NO! KICK OUT!
Antoni just gets a shoulder off the mat to break the count. Darius stands in the corner urging Antoni to get to his feet. Antoni does just that using the ropes to aid him. Darius runs looking for a Hunter's Mark but Antoni counters by launching his opponent in the air and blasting him with a huge Uppercut. Darius crashes to the canvas. Antoni drags him up hitting a Malosi.

THR... NO! KICK OUT!
Darius gets an arm high into the air breaking the count. Antoni pulls at the arm yanking Darius high into the air. Somehow, in mid air, Darius is able to hiit Antoni with a huge DDT.
Aiello: Look at the impact from that DDT! Darius really laying it into Antoni tonight.
Bennett: I can't say I blame him Joe, he wants to get back into the title picture ASAP and he looks to do so at the Samoan Warrior's expense!
Antoni uses the ropes again to pull himself to his feet. He turns to face his opponent just in time to eat a Hunters Mark. Darius takes a moment to clutch the pain in his ribs before making the cover.

Antoni is just, and I mean just, able to get a shoulder up at the last split second breaking the count. Again Darius drags Antoni to his feet by his hair. Before Darius is able to do anything, Antoni hits The Benchmark from almost out of nowhere. Antoni almost drops onto Darius for the cover.

Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall... ANTONI ......MALI-E-TOA!
Antoni rolls out of the ring and uses the apron to hold himself on his feet. He raises an arm in the air in victory while pushing his hair out of his face with the other. He leans on the railing for the rest of his trip up the ramp while his fans pat him on the back in celebration of his victory.
Aiello: What a great, hard-hitting match this was! Both men really giving it their all here, but the Samoan Warrior just manages to pick up the win!
Bennett: These two sons o' bitches proved their tenacity tonight, but I will give kudos to Antoni for a good win!
Aiello: Folks, in just a moment we'll be back with the first of our Super 16 Tag Team Tournament first round matches as the Heavenly Treats take on the Xtreme Ravagers!
Speaking of the tag division, it seems we have a visit from the champions themselves backstage ...
The camera cuts backstage inside the Toyota Center to find Brawl’s Bob Murray walking down the hallway. He takes a big drink of his coffee only to stop dead in his tracks and spit the coffee out into the air
Murray: What the…why the…
The camera pulls back and the Brawl crowd pops loudly as the cameras show Bobby Rose, Jimmy Lane and Bunny Love of The Southern Express. Bobby and Jimmy hand their EWC Tag Team Championship belts to Bunny, who tosses them over each of her shoulders as the pair walk up to Bob Murray and put their arms around his neck
Rose: Bob my boy, how’s it going?
Lane: Yeah, long time no see, we’ve missed seeing your smiling face…
Murray: Really?
Bobby and Jimmy both start laughing
Rose: No, not really…
Lane: Come on Bob, who would you rather look at each week, your ugly mug or the hot Lisa Goldrush…
Bob Murray pauses for a second and nods
Murray: Lisa Goldrush, but don’t tell anyone I said that, I don’t need her coming for my job...
Bob looks around to make sure nobody heard him before looking back at the Express
Murray: And what are you three doing here, you don’t have a match here tonight…
Bobby smiles as him and Jimmy ball up their fists and give Bob a noogie
Rose: The Super 16 Tag Team Tournament silly…
Lane: We are the EWC Tag Team Champions of the World you know…
Rose: Having just beaten Brawl’s Xtreme Ravagers for a SECOND TIME THIS SEASON!!!
Bobby and Jimmy let go of Bob Murray just long enough to high five and then grab a hold of him again
Lane: And we wanted to be here tonight in HOUSTON, TEXAS…
The crowd cheers for the cheap pop as Jimmy smiles and winks
Lane: And cheer on the four teams competing tonight…
Murray: You mean scout them…because you aren’t really rooting for any of the four teams…
But Bobby shakes his head
Rose: You’re wrong Bob, we are team players…we came here tonight to lead our support and vast knowledge to Xavier and Samantha and give them all the pointers they need on being a successful tag team here in the EWC…
Lane: Yeah in a perfect world all THREE of The Love Club teams will advance to the semi-finals along with Ace and El Pablo and we can give the fans a real TREAT…
Murray: But you hate Xavier and Samantha, I mean you superkicked Xavier in the face…
But Bobby and Jimmy wave that off, dismissing it like it was nothing
Rose: That was just a ‘love’ tap…
Lane: Sibling rivalry, nothing more…
Rose: We want to see them be successful here tonight and make their way back to us so we can beat them for a third time…
Lane: But that can’t happen if they don’t get past The Heavenly Treats here tonight so…
Rose: We came to lend our support and be as helpful as we can…
Love: AND to wish all four teams the best of luck as The Super 16 Tag Team Tournament kicks off here tonight at Brawl #572!!!
Bobby and Jimmy give Bob one last noogie before letting him go
Rose: The locker rooms are that way right…
Lane: Time to go lead a helping hand…
Bobby and Jimmy let Bob go and walk away from him as Bunny smiles and taps Bob on the cheek as the camera show the backs of Bobby and Jimmy’s t-shirts that read The Heavenly Treats, as we move to a commercial break.
The camera cuts backstage outside The Love Club where we find Bob Murray as he knocks on the door. He looks back at his camera crew, smiles and gives them a thumbs up as the door opens and he comes face to face with ‘The Memphis Mouthpiece’ Tommy Love.
Murray: Tommy, my second favorite Love…
Tommy fakes a laugh as he goes to shut the door but Bob sticks his hand out to block the door being closed on him
Murray: I have an interview scheduled with your tag team, are Xavier and Samantha in there?
Bob steps forward to poke his head in to have a look but Tommy blocks him
Love: They are but what if they don’t want to talk to you? I mean you are THEIR second favorite backstage interviewer…
Tommy smirks as Bob’s mouth drops open and he looks offended
Murray: They better not have Brian Spade ranked ahead of me…
But before Tommy can answer Xavier walks into the picture and looks at Bob
Reid: Actually we prefer Lisa Goldrush…
Hamilton quickly hurries behind Reid, shaking her head with a slight grimace.
Hamilton: Oi, speak for yourself. I don’t pick favorites if I can avoid it. Rephrasing that, he prefers Goldrush. I’m fine with anyone as long as they’re civil enough.
Sam then glances over to Tommy.
Hamilton: No sense in keeping him out. We’re all here, so why not?
Murray: Tonight we kick off The Super 16 Tag Team Tournament and the two of you start things off as you square off against Gabi Visconty and Brawl’s newest signee Candy, The Heavenly Treats, in a much anticipated Love Club v. 3C match-up with a place in the Brawl Finals on the line. They have made it clear, they want those EWC Tag Team Championships…
Reid: And we what...don’t Bob? It could have been easy for us to just blow this off, for Samantha to return to Rampage to focus on her HBO Broadcast Championship and me to take the next month off and get myself ready for Night of Champions but here we are...in the Super 16 Tag Team Championship tournament...
Sam smirks as she chimes in.
Hamilton: It was cute to hear them think we’re pointing fingers at one another and trying to play the ‘blame game’ on one another, but no. If anything, we’re more determined and focused than they’re assuming. But I can promise that when tonight's over, they’ll certainly wish their guess had been correct. Also, they’re focusing on everything I guessed and some extras I wasn’t expecting. Like my side job.
Sam rolls her eyes.
Hamilton: If they’re already that predictable before we enter the ring … they better be able to come up with some impressive shit on the fly. Otherwise, excuse me if I’m coming in feeling pretty damn good.
Reid: The fact is Bob all season long I’ve had both of their numbers, I took championship gold off of Gabi, she can look at this championship…
Xavier raises the International Championship for the camera
Reid: And call it her’s but we all remember StrangleMania, she’s like a child still trying to act like this is her’s...she didn’t do anything as a champion...she didn’t defend this like I have, it was just wasted on her and I’m the one that ended all this talk about Candy being thought of as a contender for the Undisputed Championship, I ended her chase before it really began and tonight I share the fun of ending The Heavenly Treats quest for gold with my tag team partner Samantha Hamilton...they may think they are worthy of being the EWC Tag Team Championship but we are going to show them differently…
Love: Tonight The Xtreme Ravagers get themselves right back into tag team championship consideration at the expense of The Heavenly Treats and WE will advance on to face the winner of the Flip & Jack Connection or Damage Inc and show the rest of the EWC that The Xtreme Ravagers are the BOB...Best of Brawl in terms of tag team wrestling…
Tommy smiles as Xavier and Samantha cross their arms into an X as we cut back to ringside...
A TASTE OF TAG TEAM VIOLENCE!
[TAG TEAM MATCH, SUPER 16 TAG TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND]
Heavenly Treats
VS Xtreme Ravagers
VS Xtreme Ravagers
We return to ringside where commentary is standing by!
Aiello: It is now time to commence the Super 16 Tag Team Tournament here on the red brand! We have four teams vying for the right to represent Brawl in the tournament going forward, and it starts with the Heavenly Treats taking on the Xtreme Ravagers!
Bennett: This is gonna be a hell of a match Joe, I can just feel it in my gut. All four of these competitors have had their issues in the past, and that was just in singles competition...but with the tag division heating up and everyone looking to topple the record-breaking champs The Southern Express, things could get ugly!
Stroup: The following match is scheduled for one fall, and it is a first round match in the Super 16 Tag Team Tournament! Joining us first, representing 3C, the team of Candy and Gabrielle Visconty ... HEAVENLY TREATS!
The start of 'We R Are Who We R' hits the PA system as H E A V E N L Y T R E A T S scrolls across the XTron. The crowd explodes in cheers as Candy and Gabi Vee walk out of the back in matching Heavenly Treats jackets, and stop at the top of the entrance ramp. Both girls look at each other and smile, the crowd's cheers turn to a roar before they turn back to the crowd and hold up the 3C hand sign to the crowd. Candy and Gabi high five each other and head down towards the ring. Candy slides under the bottom rope as Gabi springboards into the ring. The Heavenly Treats meet in the center of the ring and go back to back, and the girls work the crowd a moment before moving to their corner and removing their jackets.
Stroup: And their opponents, representing the Love Club, the team of HBO Broadcast Champion Samantha Hamilton and EWC International Champion Xavier Reid ... XTREME RAVAGERS!
As Heavenly’s ‘Bravery In The Field’ plays over the PA system, we see the figures of Samantha “The Titaness” Hamilton and Joseph “Orion” Hunter standing next to each other. Not too far away, “The Memphis Mouthpiece” Tommy Love is beside Xavier Reid.
Each manager walks alongside their respective clients, who each have their respective championships slung over their shoulder as they approach ringside.
When everyone arrives at the ring, Tommy and Joseph pull the ropes open, allowing Sam and Xavier to step inside. The two wrestlers stand in the center and form an X with their arms. They stay in the center for a few moments before going to a corner, staring down the Heavenly Treats as the ref calls for the bell to start this match.
DING DING DING
We start the match off with Hamilton and Gabi, each looking to get an early advantage as they start to lock up. Sam goes for a headlock but Gabi gets out of the clutches of the Titaness, sending her to the corner with a dropkick! Gabi back to her feet, looking to follow up on the attack...but gets a right hand square in the mouth by Hamilton for her troubles. Sam goes back on the attack now, really laying in the kicks as she sends Gabi reeling back to the corner before making a quick tag to Reid, who charges right at the woman he won the International Championship from...
...only to be met with the top turnbuckle, as Gabi dodges in the nick of time! Gabi takes the champion by surprise with a flurry of offense, sending Reid into the corner with an Irish whip before connecting with a handspring back elbow smash right to the face! Reid drops down as Gabi makes a tag to Candy to the delight of the crowd.
Aiello: Here we go folks, the Heavenly Treats fully on display here after an early advantage by Hamilton and Reid!
Bennett: These ladies better look out or the Ravagers will crunch their chances at success!
Candy goes after Reid, but is interrupted by Tommy Love stepping onto the apron to stick his nose into this business by yelling at her. Candy has a few words with the Memphis Mouthpiece, who just laughs before stepping back down...which gives Reid a chance to tag to Hamilton. who charges at the former Undisputed Champion! Hamilton keeps up the attack, laying into Candy with some hard strikes before picking Candy up, driving her knees into Candy's back with a lumbar check! Titaness with a quick cover here:
1
...
Kickout by Candy!
Hamilton back to her feet, the Titaness looking to make a statement as she goes back to work on Candy with some more strikes, but misses a roundhouse kick which gives Candy an opening! Drop toe hold on the Titaness, sending her crashing to the canvas! Candy gets to her feet to make a tag to Gabi as Xavier jumps into the ring. Hamilton's back on her feet as well...but both Ravagers are met with a pair of handspring elbow strikes by the Heavenly Treats, to a big pop from the crowd!
Aiello: What a moment from the Heavenly Treats! They could very well take the win here, Steve!
Bennett: Not if the Ravagers have anything to say about it!
Gabi goes after Hamilton now as Candy sends Reid right on out of the ring. Gabi showing what she's made of here as she goes to work on the arm of the Titaness, looking for a measure of revenge as she hits a lovely fisherman's suplex on Hamilton! Ref with the count, but Titaness using her strength to kick out before even a count of one!
There's a lot of fight left in her as Hamilton gets back to her feet, pummeling Gabi with lefts and rights before hoisting her up...ATLAS SHRUGGED! Gabi driven face first into the canvas as we see Candy back on the apron in her corner, calling out to her partner as Reid in the opposite corner is chomping at the bit for a tag in. Titaness with a tag to Reid, and the Ravagers are looking to put an end to this as they look to make Gabi X'ed Out...BUT GABI DODGES THE PELE KICK BY REID! HOT TAG TO CANDY!
Both teams are slugging it out now, with Gabi eventually getting the upper hand and sending Hamilton out of the ring leaving Candy with Reid. Tommy tries to get involved again but gets dropkicked off the apron by Candy! She turns around to see Reid charging at at her...but she uses Xavier's momentum against him, grabbing him by the head before running to the corner! SUGAR FREE CANDY ON THE INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION! Candy goes for the cover, could this be it!?

Hamilton is back on her feet at ringside, but it's too late as the ref calls for the bell!
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall, and advancing to the quarterfinals... HEAVENLY TREATS!
Hamilton rushes into the ring to attack Candy, but is cut off by Gabi who sends the Titaness back out of the ring! Reid rolls out as the ref raises the arms of the Heavenly Treats in victory while the Ravagers regroup at ringside, staring their foes down before we cut to commentary.
Aiello: What a match, and what an upset win for the Heavenly Treats! Despite the attempts at interference by Tommy Love and the strong efforts of the Xtreme Ravagers, it is Candy and Gabi Vee moving on to the quarterfinals!
Bennett: It was a great match for sure, but you can tell the Ravagers are maaaaad about this one Joe!
Aiello: Folks, up next we are set to see who will take on Candy and Gabi Vee in the quarterfinals as Damage Incorporated take on the unlikely pairing of King Flip and Jack Severn! Don't go away!
And we don't even get a chance to, because something odd is happening backstage ...
Cameras quickly try and capture the ravings of a Brawl resident backstage.
Nightcall: Houston, Texas... make some noise!!!
The crowd cheers as he bounces from one hallway to the next, giddy with excitement.
Nightcall: Christmas in July may be over, but I wanted to start August off with some gift-giving.
Nightcall: Sit back, some of you are gonna like this...
Bennett: Oh God what is he about to do?
He disappears from view as we go to a commercial break.
We're back from commercial, where it looks like the FX Broadcast Champion is back at it again!
Aiello: What on Earth?!
The sound of a train whistle blows loudly over the music. Nightcall comes out to the arena with a conductor hat, and he is driving a shopping mall choo-choo! It slowly travels down the ramp, revealing boxcar after boxcar of cans bearing Nightcall's likeness:
He pulls up to the squared circle, wrapping the train itself around the ring. The crowd is up in arms, whooping and hollering at the spectacle. The Night Dude hops out and throws the conductor hat out into the audience. He grins from ear to ear before putting Effie around his waist and asking for a microphone.
Nightcall: I know, I know. I didn't get the job done at Parabellum. I was outwrestled by some of the best in the business. I don't see this as something to be sad about, though. I like my parties, but not my pity parties, brah. We're gonna bring in the new month The Right Way. With a little bit of summer fun!
He goes over to one of the carts holding his cans.
Nightcall: New and improved Nightcall Products! If you've been browsing EWC ShopZone.com, you may have stumbled on a few of my favorite things. Take Back The Night tees...Effie baby bibs...but what about you guys that want a snack?
He takes a can out, pops the lid off, and sprays his face. Pink drips down his cheeks onto his suit. He smiles toothily.
Nightcall: Introducing Mist™! It's the perfect cooldown for your beach outing. Remember those spray candies from the 90s? I'm bringing it back, baby. Just don't spray it in your friend's face...unless they're wearing sunglasses like me!
He chucks the one in his hand out into the nosebleed section. Nightcall opens up a boxcar full of Mist™ and hands the whole crate over to the front row. The Night Dude takes his time giving away everything in his small train before climbing on top of the front.
Nightcall: ...and the best part about Mist™ is Timothy Kahrs won't see one red cent!
The audience are confused but cheer anyways. Nightcall's demeanor dampens.
Nightcall: I don't know why you interfered with my match on Paramount, Mr. Kahrs. As far as I know you were protecting an investment. I am happy to be valued, don't get me wrong, but I'm a fighter and 3C had me dead to rights. I want the respectful fight, brah. I am gonna make some Mist™ money though, so no hard feelings. Now, if you come at me in my Main Event non-title match against Mio Yoshino, the song I'm singin' is gonna change key REAL EFFIE'ing QUICK!
With that, Nightcall handed the microphone back and drove the choo-choo up towards the exit as we cut back to ringside for the next match.
COHESION NECESSARY TO AVOID DAMAGE!
[TAG TEAM MATCH, SUPER 16 TAG TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND]
The Flip & Jack Connection
VS Damage Incorporated
VS Damage Incorporated
We return to ringside where Stroup is ready to call the next match.
Aiello: Well folks, it's been a crazy night so far and we have half the quarterfinal settled with Heavenly Treats advancing...now, we find out who face them!
Bennett: King Flip and Jack Severn look to make a cohesive unit in this tournament, but they have an absolute BEAST of a duo ahead of them in Damage Incorporated!
Stroup: The following contest is a first round match for the Super 16 Tournament! Introducing first, weighing in at 725 lbs... Malice... MAYHEM... DAMAGE... INCORPORATED!!!
Pyro explodes across the stage. The light pulses like lightning and Lacey Savage appears wearing a skull bandanna that covers her lower face. When the lightning pulses again a thick smoke rolls in, and from the smoke come two huge figures dressed in matching leather jackets that reach all the way to their matching boots. The two men are wearing full face masks that look like skulls. Each skull face is partially covered by a bandanna, outlaw style. The two men flank Lacey and they all come to stand in the center of the stage. Removing their masks the group marches in lock step down the ramp to the ring. Once between the ropes the group clusters together in a tight huddle to go over their final game plan, each member sizing up their opponents and getting ready for a war. Malice holds the ropes open for Lacey before the bell rings where she takes her place at ringside where she prepares to aid her team however she can.
Stroup: And their opponents, hailing from Mick Foley's sock... at a combined weight of 440 pounds ... THE FLIP AAAND JACK COOONNECTIOOON!!!
'Save My Soul' begins to play throughout the arena as Severn emerges from the curtain, the utmost confidence in his face. He begins clapping for himself as King Flip slowly walks through the curtain and the fans actually begin to cheer. Severn, disgusted, scoffs at Flip and quickly walks to the ring. Flip matches his cadence and slides into the ring as Severn makes his own way up the steps and through the ropes. Severn does his usual pose in the center of the ring, raising the Brawl flag up, but again the crowd cheers as Flip does a team pose just in front of him. Severn angrily removes his jacket as the two discuss who will start the match.
DING DING DING
Severn and Malice start the match for their teams with Malice standing in the center of the ring as Severn tries to circle around him and find an angle. Jack does this near half a minute. Malice is standing tall with a big smile as he puts up his hands and challenges Jack to come at him. The Severnator hits the ropes and goes for a POWERFUL shoulder block. Malice is unmoved and still all smiles. Jackie Boy goes for a second. Same effect. He goes for the ropes in a third attempt but Malice rushes after him and BARRELS him over the ropes with a stiff clothesline.
Graves is there to absorb some of the blow as Jack Severn comes fumbling into him. As Malice makes his way over the top rope to get Jack, Flip jumps to same side of the ring apron and fervently yanks the rope so it racks his nards several times. Referee Josh Daniels yells a warning at Flip who tries to change the subject by showing his hold on the tag rope. Mayhem isn't having any of it, making his way into the ring and over to the distracted Flip to flip him into the ring by the back of his head.
Aiello: Flip showing his experience by halting the attack on his tag team partner, but was it worth it?
Bennett: Are you kidding? Jack's getting the hell out of dodge and Flip? Look at him. He's smiling! The guy loves this nonsense.
Mayhem is lifting Flip by the beard as Malice just gets to the thinly padded outside and misses a ducked clothesline on Severn. Jack slides into the ring and flails an open palm farm hand. SMACK! He catches Mayhem in the ear and starts backing up with his hands up when it becomes apparent the slap only served to infuriate the man. Malice slides into the ring, stopped for half a second as Graves grabs his boot, shoves the wily manager off his boot and stands just as Severn backs into him.
Jack stops and reaches up, feeling the angry face of Malice and Mayhem fumes further. Both are half a second from tearing him limb from when he just jumps out of the way. King Flip dropkick out of nowhere sends Mayhem face first into Malice. They stumble into a corner as the referee finally gets control. Flip returns to his corner as Severn goes to the corner opposite the two massive men and rushes into the them with a spinning elbow followed by a double bulldog. Jack stands proudly... as Damage Inc absolutely no sells the man and stand right up in unison.
Aiello: Behind you Jack! Malice and Mayhem look like he just tried to play pattycake with a wrong guys!
Bennett: What are you talking about, Aiello? Jack's got these men right where he want 'em. Thinking they've got it all figured out.
Jack hears Flip yelling to turn around and is immediately welcomed with the legsweep and superkick combination known only as Total Elimination by Damage Incorporated. The referee got to a four count in the meantime, prompting Mayhem to exit the ring just long enough to get the legal tag. The big man climbs to the top rope as Malice holds the legs, spinning little Jack around a few times to get a solid wheelbarrow-like grip. Mayhem takes to the sky for the guillotine leg drop but Jack Severn lifts at the last second! Thumb to the eye of Malice as Mayhem bounces bum first off the canvas. Malice grabs for his eyes and Jack quickly rolls back and leaps into tagging in King Flip.
The crowd explodes. It's dropkick-a-mania as Flip connects with two consecutive kicks to each man as they stand and come for him. The second dropkick on Malice sends him over the top rope and directly into a distracted Lacey Savage. The cackling Dimitri Graves had been yelling at her until the big man took himself and his manager down to the concrete. Back in the ring, Mayhem takes a wild swing at Flip, who dodges it before catching the big man with a spinning impaler...followed with a knee by Severn! SILENT EXECUTION! Malice is slow to his feet as Flip goes for the cover!

Malice is in the ring but gets cut off by Severn in the nick of time!
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall, and advancing to the quarterfinals... THE FLIP AND JACK CONNECTION!
There isn't much time to celebrate as Malice goes after Severn, slamming him into the turnbuckle and laying into him until King Flip turns him around! Malice takes a swing at Flip, who dodges it as he and Severn quickly escape the ring and hightail it up the ramp. They raise each other's arm in victory leaving us with a livid Damage Incorporated before cutting to commentary.
Aiello: What a match this was, folks! A really close affair between these teams, with the newly-established pair of King Flip and Jack Severn taking the win over a very game Damage Incorporated!
Bennett: What a helluva match, that's for sure! Damage Inc. held their own and showed that they can dominate when they well choose...but indeed, Flip and Jack get the win and advance!
Aiello: So there we have it, folks! Heavenly Treats face off against The Flip and Jack Connection to see who represents BRAWL in the semifinals of this Super 16 Tag Team Tournament, and I'm hearing now that...yes, that match is indeed happening at MNB #573, when the red brand heads to Atlanta! In the meantime, we have a main event to get to, and that is coming up NEXT!
With that, we move to our final commercial break of the evening.
A WORTHY ONE-ON-ONE REMATCH!
[SINGLES MATCH, NON-TITLE]
Mio Yoshino
VS Nightcall
[SINGLES MATCH, NON-TITLE]
Mio Yoshino
VS Nightcall
We return to ringside where commentary is standing by for our main event of the evening!
Aiello: Well folks, it all comes down to this! Nightcall has been on a roll as FX Broadcast Champion, but after losing at Parabellum he is now set to defend his title at Night of Champions XVIII...and Mio Yoshino looks to step into that title picture with a win here tonight in non-title action!
Bennett: Mio needs to give the champ everything she's got tonight if she wants a crack at that belt, Joe!
Stroup: The following non-title match is scheduled for one fall! Joining us first, from Nagoya, Japan, weighing in at 135 pounds ... MIO YOSHINO!
"Phoenix" by Fall Out Boy plays as Mio walks out with her head down when half of the first verse is completed, and waits at the center of the stage. “So Come On!” The words ring throughout the stadium and the pyro lights up, Mio’s head snapping up and her arms opening wide as she stomps forward and lets out a strong cry. She wears a smirk under her mask as the initial pop has been made, and saunters down the ramp while clutching her leather jacket. She reaches the ring and climbs up the turnbuckle, taking off her mask and tossing it to the side.
Stroup: And her opponent, from Oceanside, CA, weighing in at 205 pounds, he is the FX Broadcast Champion ... NIGHTCALL!
Nightcall dances out onto the ramp to his namesake theme with Effie around his waist. He gives a few pelvic thrusts and hops around the runway, making a complete spectacle of himself before climbing the steel steps. He hands the title to a ringside official before going up to the top rope. He pauses, then cups his hands and shouts "Take Back The Night!" before jumping down.
Aiello: The champ looks ready to make a statement tonight, but will the Black Rose put a stop to that?
DING DING DING
The bell immediately triggers both competitors as they exchange some hard and heavy strikes, with Mio pushing a lot of aggression onto the more erratic behavior of the champion, who manages to dodge an enziguri from the Black Rose before laying in a few stomps to stay in control. Nightcall steps back, waiting for Mio to get to her feet before going for a jumping calf kick...but Mio counters, connecting with an enziguri that sends the champ to the canvas! Mio is firmly into control now as she goes to work on the leg of Nightcall, looking to keep the champ grounded with some stomps before bending the leg back and grabbing Nightcall by the jaw! Bow and arrow on the champ!
Nightcall is clutching at his jaw trying to get out, all while attempting to get to a vertical base, but Mio keeps the hold in tight until the champ finally gets free. Nightcall back to his feet as is Yoshino, who goes for another hard kick but gets sidestepped by the champ...who drops her with a neckbreaker! Nightcall with a cover, but the ref barely gets past the count of 1 when Mio kicks out!
Aiello: Mio might've taken a lot out of the champ with that bow and arrow, and she's still got plenty of fight in her!
Bennett: She is not going to quit, not after trying to get back into the title picture!
Nightcall stays on the attack, looking to wear the Black Rose down for the victory with some hard kicks and punches. He sends Mio into the ropes, looking for a wide roundhouse kick on the rebound...but Mio ducks under! Nightcall looks surprised by this as Mio unleashes a fury storm on the champ, sending him over the top rope to the outside! The ref starts the count as the two slowly get back to their feet.

2...
3...
All the while, the two are brawling at ringside, each looking to take the other out when Mio manages to send Nightcall careening into the steel steps with a loud clang!
4...
5...
Mio continues the attack, running at the champ before connecting with a dropkick that sends Nightcall's skull into the steps! The champ...is down...and the Black Rose can't help but smile as the crowd boos. She quickly slides into the ring, willing to get a countout victory if it means getting one step closer to another title shot.
6...
7...
Nightcall is groggy but finally coming to, slowly getting to a knee...much to the chagrin of the Black Rose.
8...
Nightcall quickly gets to his feet, almost stumbling onto the apron before rolling into the ring to break the count! Mio can't believe it as she continues to lay in some hard offense on the champ, but as if the crowd is willing him back into this match Nightcall is able to slowly rise back to his feet, staring the Black Rose down! Mio charges at Nightcall, looking for a spinning backfist on the champ...but he blocks it! PALM STRIKE TO THE FACE OF YOSHINO!
Aiello: Oh my, the impact from that palm strike may have just knocked Mio out cold!
Bennett: She nearly had the match won with that ringside attack Joe, she needs to get her head back into this if she wants to win!
With the Black Rose out of it, Nightcall looks like he may have this match in the bag as he steps back. It is now the champ's turn to wait on his opponent, as the ref checks on the Black Rose to see if she can continue...and she finally responds, shoving the ref out of the way! She gets to her feet, groggy but ready to take on the champ who rushes at her...but Mio drops the champ with a drop toe hold! Mio once again going for that bow and arrow as she bends the leg back...but this time, Nightcall scouts it and pushes her back with the very leg!
Nightcall gets back to his feet, ready for a standing headbutt to Mio...who sends the ref directly into the warpath instead! The ref is out now, which could spell trouble for the champ as Mio once again smiles at the situation, much to the chagrin of the crowd in Houston.
Aiello: Oh no, I can't say I like this one bit!
Bennett: Mio has an evil plan in her mind, and she's gonna deliver on it!
With the ref still out of it, Mio quickly rolls out of the ring, checking underneath to pull out a barbed wire bat! She rushes back in the ring...ONLY TO GET HIT WITH PINK MIST BY THE CHAMP! This stops Mio for a moment but also gets her amped up, an unfortunate side effect as she takes a swing at Nightcall...SWING AND A MISS! NIGHTCALL STOPS HER DEAD IN HER TRACKS WITH A CALIFORNIA BUZZED SAW KICK! Nightcall kicks the bat out of the way, refusing to have any sign of problems as he wakes the ref up with a bit of the mist as well before making the cover!

DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall... NIGHTCALL!
The ref can't help but wipe some of the mist out of his eyes, confirming that indeed the champ has won this non-title match before raising Nightcall's arm in victory as we cut to commentary.
Aiello: What a main event this was, folks! Mio Yoshino really getting a good effort out there, but coming up just shy as the champ takes the win in this non-title match!
Bennett: It's that damn mist, Joe! ...sure, some credit to the champ's abilities, but still!
Aiello: Folks, this has been a whirlwind of a night, just one week removed from the insanity of Parabellum! We move on to Night of Champions XVIII, but first we have a stop in Hotlanta where we will hopefully see things become more and more clear! Until then, I've been Joe Aiello for Steve Bennett, saying so long and good night!
The last thing we see is Nightcall continuing to celebrate with the crowd, an angry Yoshino coming to and staring him down as the show comes to a close.
