It is mere moments after a surprising highlight of WrestleFest XIX, at least for the Mistress of Time Itself...she may have lost her triple threat match, but taking a win at the karaoke contest is a nice consolation prize. Aeon makes her way to the provided transportation, eager to end her WrestleFest weekend a little early when suddenly, a voice calls to her from the distance.
A familiar voice.
Him.
"I always knew you could carry a tune."
The look in Aeon's eyes reveals her attempt to process what's happening...and her smile shows a delayed positive reaction, despite knowing the danger involved. Why?
Because she turns around to face the man speaking to her.
Aeon Khronos?
"How long have you been standing there, old friend?"
The man smirks in response, a chuckle escaping from his mouth before choosing to speak.
"Long enough. Tell me, new friend...how'd we end up here?"
She just shakes her head at this with a chuckle of her own.
"Oh no, you know how this goes. I can't go giving spoilers away. You'll just have to find out for yourself someday."
They both share a good hardy laugh at that, but the moment is soon ruined by a rushing wind. This immediately grabs the attention of both Aeons, their eyes widening in surprise and confusion. He speaks up on the matter first.
"Strange bit of weather in Rio, isn't it?"
The wind continues to pick up speed, a slow but steady howling disturbing the otherwise silent night.
"I don't think it's the weather, old friend."
The night sky is soon pierced with a bright light that forces them to shut their eyes...and when they open them again, they see a mystifying blue portal forming in the distance. She turns to him with a slight glare.
"This one of your tricks?"
He shakes his head with a shrug.
"I don't do portals. You know this."
He takes a couple steps toward the portal, eagerly curious about the phenomenon...a mistake he's about to pay for dearly, as a strange force seems to be pulling him near. He turns back to her, reaching out as he's pulled even further with a sense of urgency...as if he was meant for this. She tries to grab his hand, but it's too late...and he's whipped into the portal, which just as quickly closes as it opened. The rushing wind stops, the howling gone...and she is terrified.
She knows what's coming next.
She's seen it before.
Crisis.
