Tendonin/Wallace Challengers
Aspire. This event had plagued the Paraguayan for five years now. Now, though, here she was, finally running again. Jessica Tendonin was sitting in her car, a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT, dubbed the JSRT5. This would be her second time racing at Aspire, after her first attempt half a decade earlier ended in disappointment. A loose stud on a front hub yanked the wheel at an angle, sending the first JSRT in a roll.
It was then that Jessica finally learned the lesson of checking her car before pulling up to the line. She was idling ahead of her father, at the moment. The tag team half mile drag was going to be starting in a moment. Racing against herself and her father was an old rival of her, Jason Mayes, who was driving his trusty MOPAR, a 2012 Charger SRT, nicknamed Amadeus, and his cousin, in a Z/28 Camaro, a 2015 model. Jessica’s father was behind her in his 1971 Challenger, packing a 426 7 liter HEMI.
Jason and his cousin Thom were the reigning Aspire ½ Mile Tag Drag champions. This was a first round match up, so if Jessica and her father could win, it would guarantee a new pair of champions, and be a massive upset. Impressive as Jessica’s street stats were, her only prior appearance Aspire was not one to be proud of. The announcer began introducing her and her father. She revved her engine a little bit, teasing the crowd; her father kept the beast quiet.
Jessica closed her eyes as she heard the announcer counting down. She opened them at 1 and when the gunshot sounded, she tore across the line like a small animal running for dear life from a large predator. She chanced a glance out of the corner of her eye, and saw that the Charger was matching her pace. And, then, she saw it; the way his front end bucked while changing gears. Jason’s transmission was failing and his clutch needed replacement. That thought was pushed from her mind, however when she saw him begin edging ahead of her at the halfway mark.
The Paraguayan toed the clutch, shifting up, and her engine roared as she leaned harder on the throttle. Something else Jessica knew about Jason’s Amadeus, was that it was all wheel drive. All wheel Drive was nice, but not ideal if you needed to bust a 180 degree turn when speed and time were key. Jessica’s Challenger was running a rear wheel drive type, and would better accommodate the upcoming hard turn around. Jessica and Jason both reached the turnaround point half a mile away at about the same time, but Jason had to almost come to a complete stop to keep from spinning out with his AWD HEMI.
The same didn’t hold true for the Challenger, however, as it approached the pole, dipping to the left before dodging into a drift to the right of the pole and arcing around it. Jessica gained two car lengths for her superior maneuverability, and on the return trip, she reached over into the passenger seat, lifting a panel, revealed several release valves and handles.
Sean Wallace: Not yet, dear. Save the spray for until you hit the halfway mark.
Her father’s voice came in over the headset.
Jessica: He’s making up the distance, father! If he’s got juice too, I need to hit mine first! Oh fuck-
Jessica said loudly over the roar of her engine.
Jessica looked in her mirror in horror as she saw the Charger begin eating up the distance from behind her; Jason has hit his nitrous already. Panicking, Jessica hit hers as well, and the Challenger began to shake as it hurtled back down the line.
Sean: I told you to wait! I didn’t want anyone to know about the chute now, but you’re gonna need it now, because you’re approaching too fast!
Sean Wallace screamed as he watched his daughter thunder towards him.
Jessica: He was coming fast, father!
Jessica replied fiercely, as she continued to roar back to the starting line. Jason began falling back now as her spray took full effect. She looked ahead, and noted that the “Mustang Targeting Area” had been moved back. Jessica crossed the line a car length ahead of Jason and as she hit the brakes gradually, she flipped a switched and from behind her rear license plate, a huge chute expelled, helping to bring the car to a stop safely.
As Jessica looked back, her father was already schooling the kid in the Camaro and she watched with pride as he passed the halfway mark. The Paraguayan moved out of the way for her father’s home trip. Jessica’s father was a few car lengths ahead of the Camaro by the time the bowtie bearing coupe came around the pole. Jessica could hear the HEMI in her father’s Challenger roaring as it commanded the road to move beneath it.
With the aggression of a hurricane, and the speed twice that of a cheetah, the 1971 Dodge Challenger bore upon the finish line and the crowd erupted. To the naked eye, the Challenger and the Camaro were neck and neck as the Z28 had absolutely devoured the distance on the return trip. A true enthusiast, however, knew to look at the long time read out, which showed the Dodge finishing three tenths of a second faster, and thus, signaling that the two Challengers had won.

Tendonin Manor
2 Days Later
Jessica Tendonin was sitting in her study, looking out over the rear of her estate, when her husband knocked as he entered. Jessica didn’t turn immediately.
Lucius: Morning, dear.
Jessica: Good morning, husband.
Lucius took a seat in front of her desk as she turned around the face him. She held their sleeping son in her lap. Lucius smiled looking at the small boy as he relaxed against his mother bosom.
Jessica: Out little boy didn’t sleep well, so I’ve been here with him for a few hours now.
Lucius: I’d wondered where you went. How long’s he been asleep?
Jessica: About an hour now. Before that, he was rather restless, and was crying a bit. I think he was having a bad dream.
Lucius sighed. Being a parent was much tougher than he had originally expected, but he loved it. He’d read the books, taken the classes, and listening to the podcasts from the alleged experts, but it was really a different experience for everyone. Just then, he thought about something.
Lucius: They’re getting rather big.
Jessica: I know. In a few years, they’ll all outgrow my lap and won’t be my little babies anymore.
Lucius: There’s that, as well, but I was thinking along the lines of something else. They’ll soon outgrow their cribs, and sleeping with us will be a problem. There are five of us, after all.
Jessica nodded, leaning down to kiss her boys temple. She could feel his warm little body against her as it began to shiver a bit. Lucius noted this and got up, grabbing a blanket and wrapping it around the love of his life and their son. She smiled a silent thanks to him. He kissed her cheek before leaving the room. A few minutes later, he returned, carrying Jessica II and with Ashley walking awkwardly beside him, her six foot eight inch tall father.
Ashley: Papa, mama cold?
Lucius: Yes, and your little brother, too. Both need to stay warm so they don’t get sick.
Ashley: Ah…don’t want get sick…Oi! Where brother? I not see Luc!
Jessica laughed a bit and lowered the blanket so that Ashley could see Lucius Kevin better.
Ashley: Luc! Papa, see brother!
Lucius laughed now, as his younger daughter became excited. Ashley was quite affectionate toward her brother, more so than she was toward her sister, whom she was clearly fond of as well. Often, Jessica II was either indifferent to both of them or extremely playful of both of them.
Lucius gently shook Jessica II awake and she looked around, taking in her brother, sister, mother, and father. She yawned a bit and closed her eyes before mumbling.
Jessica II: Want sleep…
The rest of the, save Lucius Kevin, laughed now.
Lucius: Well, if you’d truly rather sleep, I suppose that means no breakfast for you.
At that, Jessica II quickly opened her eyes.
Jessica II: Bacon?
Lucius: If that is what my princess wants, it’s what she’ll get!
Jessica II: What princess? Am Jessica. Not princess.
Lucius laughed and kissed her cheeks, making the small girl giggle.
Jessica II: Want bacon and egg and waffle!
Jessica laughed while shifting the boy in her lap. He was still sleeping, but it was time for him to wake up. She stuck out her tongue and flicked it over his left ear a few times, making him sigh in his sleep. He began waking up. He opened his eyes and looked at his mother before wiggling excitedly.
Lucius Kevin: Mama!
The boy stood on his mother’s thigh and began assaulting her face with his little lips, and wrapped his small arms around her neck and held himself close to her. Jessica began
Jessica: How’s my little boy this morning?
Lucius Kevin: Hungry.
Lucius: Well then, you’re just in time for breakfast.
Lucius gently set Jessica II on her feet and exited the study to begin cooking breakfast.
Ashley came over after her brother had slid down from Jessica’s lap. She leaned against her until she was effortlessly lifted up onto the woman’s lap.
Jessica: And how’s my dear Ashley this morning?
Ashley: Want see you fight again.
Jessica: Oh? And why is that?
Ashley: Mama strong.
Jessica: Well guess what, darling? Mama will be fighting again soon!
Ashley’s face brightened up at that and Jessica smiled to herself. The three children were quite intuitive, and while they couldn’t differentiate between fighting and wrestling, they were well aware that their parents were athletes of some nature. Ashley seemed to get more excited than the other two, though.
Ashley: Mama win?
Jessica: Oh, perhaps.

Jessica’s Study
Later that evening, Jessica was again in her study. The children had been put to bed an hour previously, and she was finishing up her paperwork for some things over in Shaker Heights. Her attention, however was on the returned and executed contract offer from EWC. It was a respectable offer, in her opinion, but the compensation was not important to her.
What held her attention was that she had already been booked. She could already feel herself becoming intoxicated by the feel of her boots as she would lace them up. Her husband had also signed on as her on screen manager. She was waiting for him to come along before she began working on her first on screen promo.
The Paraguayan was dressed in a long black dress and wore only light makeup. Her dark brown hair was curled over one shoulder. Her full lips were closed and her eyes were piercing, but brightened when her husband entered the room. Sleek wasn’t the word to describe the big man as he strutted toward her in his custom made suit. He stopped about a meter from her and slowly turned, giving her ample time to review.
Lucius: You like?
Jessica: Nice ass, that one.
Lucius: You’re objectifying me based on my appearance!
Jessica: Oh, I won’t even deny it. You’re so handsome in that. I thought it was the dark blue suit at first. Come over here and give me some loving, big boy!
Lucius obliged, and their kiss, while short, was deep. Lucius pulled Jessica against him, and she gasped as she felt his hand slip a little and she received a firm squeeze. She then moaned deeply; Lucius was toying with her. They gently separated.
Jessica: Oh love…
Lucius: Shall we get to this promo, and introduce the peasants to their forthcoming queen, my dear?
Jessica: Indeed, we shall, love.
Jessica bit her lower lip lightly, wanting to continue, but knowing there was work to do. She smiled at him, a look he returned as he straightened his clothing. She reached up and adjusted his tie correctly and then nodded. The pair turned to the camera that had been set up, and Lucius tapped something on Jessica’s desk before clicking record on the remote.
