It was settled over Christmas, Gotti would officially be the new boss of the family having rid the white collar Don, Paul Castellano. By now, enough heat came off the hit and things began to settle down a bit on the street. The real reason Gotti decided to kill Castellano was because word had reached him that Gotti and his pals, namely, Angelo, were selling narcotics and got pinched by the FBI. Castellano would receive pressure from all sides to enforce La Cosa Nostra policy, and kill all of those involved with this forbidden and unsanctioned business. Faced with a "kill or be killed" type of situation, Gotti chose to round up his Queen's posse, headed by Sammy the Bull, and orchestrate a hit on the yuppy Don in front of his favorite steakhouse. Particularly upset was Vinny Gigante, as he is always old school when it comes to the rules of the life. Gotti's actions meant certain death.

These fuckin' new breeds think they can just kill anyone they want. Why do they think we even have these fuckin' rules? For looks? For the sake of havin' em? This fella in Queen's has it coming, and with this whole shit going down with the fuzz and that dirty bullshit, that's gotta be the end of it as we know it for that crew. The Big Guy from Todt Hill ain't around to handle it so, fuck it, it's on us. What's right is right, Carlo. You know, if the old man was here this wouldn't even be a discussion, he would have had number two over there in Little Italy handle it in minutes flat. And he could do it too. That son of a bitch had eyes that would burn holes in Jesus himself.

Fuggetaboutit. I think this one needs to be handled cleanly, boss. I got these guys in the tech-bizz that could probably configure a big "boom" that'll get rid of the problem. You're right about the narcotics rule too, and if the feds got tapes of that fat slob, and I know that's the pot calling the kettle black here, but if they got that fat slob Angelo on tape wit' Johnny boy it's only a matter of time before another one of the families gets him anyway. Time to show our muscle.

Good, I gotta distance myself from the whole fuckin' thing anyway. I've got a match upcoming with this Bella dame and I ain't trying to get embarrassed out there. I gotta kinda keep the shit interesting in the beginning stages otherwise no one's paying to see me, ergo, my income won't match up with the fuckin' I.R.S.. So, we gotta fuckin' make this thing work. Of course, the first card they throw me on is way the fuck across the pond, but Frankie and his people are on it. Sent some fuckin' mustaches from the old country to come pull some strings with those fuckers out there. Tony, you ready to get this fuckin' thing going man? Let's break a sweat. Carlo, go tell your buddies they're services will be reciprocated in kind.

Alright, Vinny, well, remember boxing? Okay, good. Now forget all of it. Exactly how much wrestling do you know anyway? You're not a first timer, are ya? You look in decent enough shape, of course that suit has a little padding in it, go change.
V I N N Y " C H I N " G I G A N T E :
Five minutes in and he thinks he's the boss already. Alright, I'll go do that, wise-ass, but first you gotta understand a few things- yeah, I was a professional boxer, but my wrestling game ain't too far behind. Second, I got a switch, and when it gets turned on, everyone needs to go ahead and back the fuck up because I charge harder than a mack truck.
Vinny goes and changes into his wrestling attire and comes out charging at Tony Spanks. As he lunges, Tony side steps and Vinny falls into the turnbuckle. Tony attacks him with rights and lefts and Vinny stops the onslaught with a hip toss takedown, which he celebrates after executing. Tony swings a right and his momentum spins him around facing the opposite way, Vinny picks him up and performs belly to back suplex onto the mat.

Not too shabby eh? Think we can work off that, Tony?

Not bad at all, you've got more in the arsenal than I thought you did, that's for sure. You're dragging ass on that hip-toss though, it needs to be quick so your opponent can't reverse it. Still, pretty damn impressive for a boxer. Let's keep it going, we'll do some mat-work next.
The two continue working through a couple of different variations of common wrestling holds and submissions. As the two get deeper into their workout, Carlo Salerno walks out of the gym to the nearest payphone to begin the groundwork for ridding La Cosa Nostra of John Gotti forever.

Hey real quick, you got that tick tick boom we were talking about last week? Get it ready. Target's over at the Bait and Fish Club in Queens, he's probably still bullshitting around with his yes men. My thoughts? Get that big ole Benz wired up when he stops into Little Italy later this afternoon, he's having a meeting with all the capos and the vehicle should be left alone for just enough time for you fuckers to do your thing. If you boys don't fuck this up there's a spot on the roster for you.....
