Noah is shown hitting a heavy bag, it is in his workout room in his apartment. No cute little timeline, no Noah Hanson fact of the day, none of that stuff that we have grown used to seeing over the past few months. Just Noah getting down to business, he has matches with Jason Phoenix and Rocky Hollywood and Jason Price defending his legacy within North Atlantic Wrestling but this is what he has had to deal with lately.
[Highlight From NAW Meltdown #77]
Jason Phoenix and Rocky Hollywood both side into the ring. Jason Phoenix immediately goes after James Edwards as he grabs him by both arms. He lifts him up onto his shoulders and drops him with a Canadian Backbreaker. Meanwhile, Rocky and Noah are fighting things off in the back and Noah goes for a standing clothesline, but Rocky ducks. When he turns around, he lifts Noah up onto his shoulders and delivers three powerbombs in a row before leaving him lying in the middle of the ring. Jason Phoenix and Rocky Hollywood eye each other in the ring before Rocky reaches down to grab Noah’s titles. He tosses the Horizon over to Phoenix and raises the Legacy title. Phoenix looks down at the title and a wicked grin comes across his face.
Jim Torres: “Look at the carnage! Look at the brutality!”
Malcolm Gould: “After a Death Sentence, I don’t think James Edwards is fancying the idea about coming back.”
Rebecca Martin: “Based on outside interferences by both Jason Phoenix and Rocky Hollywood, the referee has declared this match a NO CONTEST!”
The referee is trying to maintain order, but Rocky and Jason both drop their titles to the mat as they begin stomping down on Noah and James. Rocky has Noah up on his feet, staggering, and Jason Phoenix walks over to him. Rocky puts Noah across his shoulders and Phoenix runs off the ropes with a flipping neckbreaker as Noah’s lifeless body collapses on the canvas. Phoenix points down to James Edwards, but sworn officials start to push him to the corner. Rocky gets a sucker kick in before the referees do the same against him. The officials start to get Noah and James out of the ring as they hold back the other two contenders.

Noah's punches and kicks are with authority and crispness as he snaps off kick after kick and punch after punch, he looks focused and probably more determined then he has been in a long time and he also looks angry.
“People in the business have no honor, even among criminals and thugs they have no honor, no code, they come out and attack like cowards.” Noah angrily barked as I watched him snap off another series of kicks, each kick harder and harder. He is probably madder and more pissed then anytime that I have seen him, he is talking to himself a lot the last few days and that is not a good sign for a lot of people.
“I mean god damn...” Noah growled as he panted heavily between kicks, the sweat pouring off his face and pooling on the mat below him. “....Phoenix working with that pile of dog shit Hollywood, he is already getting his shot and this is how he does things by being a fucking clown and putting his nose in MY business and let's not even talk about how Rocky just can't do ANYTHING without dropping my name. He knows he can't beat me straight up and when we even teamed up he knew that I was the star of the team, the one EVERYONE was watching and it eats him up with every moment.”
He was in rant mode apparently as he struck the bag harder and harder. I have seen him like this all to many times, the anger, the focus that comes with it. It makes a dangerous combination but Phoenix and Hollywood made a huge mistake when they went after Noah like they did. Noah has said he is a better class of criminal and he has proven it from day one. He could have destroyed Alice Harris but he saw the determination and desire that the former Legacy champion put out there each and every show and that is why Noah did what he did with Alice, she deserves respect, she deserves to be treated like she was treated by Noah, she fought her ass off for NAW and defended the Legacy title like a champ should. It probably drove Rocky batty knowing that Alice had his number, that no matter what he did he just was never good enough to beat Alice and then what happens Noah comes in and beats them all in the Prison Yard match. Again Rocky had a chance to silence all the haters, could have been the tog dog like he always likes to bark about, you know how he always like to talk about how he is the self-proclaimed “Best Wrestler in NAW” but if that were true then he would be the one holding the Legacy and Horizon titles but the simple facts are like this....He's not...the man hitting the heavy bag is the one that is the KING of NAW at the moment.
I watched as Noah feverishly hit the heavy bag for what seemed like an eternity, all I could do was sit there and watch, marveling at his tenacity at his desire to keep pushing himself physically. I mean if you watch the man like I do and you see how he is willing to do things that not every wrestler in this business and I am not even talking about some of the questionable things he did in his past. I am just talking about pushing his body to harder limits, being his age and all the toll his body has taken it is very admirable to see him willing to do more work to keep himself in top physical condition even more so when he faces guys show to show that are usually younger, faster and usually stronger then Noah is. But again that is a testament to the man that has been one of the biggest stars in all of wrestling.
Noah stopped briefly and he turned to me and I handed him a towel and a bottle of water. He took a drink of the water and toweled his face off and then looked at his phone and saw that he had a message and looked at me. “Why are the people over at EWC dragging their feet about getting me a spot on their roster?”
I really didn't have an answer, I had met with their representatives and negotiated a deal with them so that Noah could appear at the 'Rumble In the Bronx' battle royal. Part of the deal on their deal was Noah had to sign a deal with one of their brands to be considered for the battle royal and while I was able to get Noah on their Future Stars of Wrestling show which with a name like that and considering how long Noah has been in the business he is certainly not the long term future of any business but that was not the point of getting Noah in the battle royal but I just had to giggle at the name of the place. I have been corresponding with the management team and we seemed to have hit a snag and now Boardwalk has heard of Noah wanting to expand his schedule again and have sent Noah a new contract to work on their new bi weekly show Live. Seeing Noah in Boardwalk and the way he interacted with the fans there and by the way it is totally different then the way he does business in NAW. The fans in Boardwalk respect Noah so much and they love the way he handles himself. So when he was in the All In Battle Royal and he actually lasted long enough to run into James Edwards and the two got a chance re-ignite the feud from earlier this summer it was something that just made me excited and then when Noah actually caused Edwards to be eliminated I could see the joy in the eyes of Noah. It made him so happy to be the one that caused Edwards to be eliminated and granted he didn't win the match it was all about the experience and then you have the fact that Noah and Edwards were going at it in a great match, one that was going to be the match of the night until Phoenix and Hollywood took it upon themselves into the match.
“And why the hell does EWC call the battle royal 'Rumble in the Bronx'? Is Jackie Chan the host of the night?” Noah moaned as he stopped briefly and then looked at me, shook his head and then continued kicking the heavy bag, I could see that he was starting to tire, his breathing was starting to become a little labored and his leg would not snap like it did a little while ago. But now NAW is teaming Noah and Edwards together, two men that has been jawing back and forth for months, were fighting each other tooth and nail just a few days ago and now the two are being teamed together against Hollywood and Phoenix. Noah has no problems fighting either of the two that are going to be standing across from him. Every time he sees Hollywood he sees Jed Clampet.... you know someone that fell into money and has no idea what having money means. He is just a fool with deep pockets, he is nothing more then a clown that drives a Mercedes and to be honest from everything I have seen from Hollywood he is never the brains of the team. He may have money, fast cars and big houses but the man is an idiot and doesn't have an original idea in that big empty head of his. So that means that Phoenix is probably the one that came up with the attack, it means that Hollywood once again is riding an idea that wasn't his to elevate his rather bland persona in and out of the ring. He might have a chiseled body and a handsome face but the fact is he is not going to be the one that thinks of a great plan, he is not the one that is going to out-think someone in a match. Just like Noah has said time and again all that Rocky brings to the ring is a mass of muscle and a body of a god, the man is never able to come up with an original thought or idea and this match, the attack it is all proving that point.
As for Phoenix all he is doing is proving that NAW is at one of its weakest points ever, he should not even be anywhere near the main event scene. The man shouldn't even be challenging for any of the titles in NAW after only a few matches. But this man is not dumb, not one bit he saw an opportunity and he did what anyone would have done if they were in his shoes and that is take advantage of the situation and now he is near the top but that also means he has to actually beat Noah at some point and time and that is harder to do then a lot of things and I know a lot of people are going to say that he already beat Noah once and that beating him again is going to be the crowning achievement. But what if I told you that Noah went easy on Phoenix? What if I told you that Noah could have ran over Phoenix anytime he wanted but he is simply playing with his food and Jason is that said food. You see when Noah said “I am willing to do anything to win.” he meant it. I see how Rocky and Jason were gloating after the match and they actually think they have the upper-hand but in reality they are just doing EXACTLY what Noah has said they were going to do. I guess you could say that they are doing “Heel Tactics” but they have no idea that they are messing with someone that wrote the book on how to break the rules, use smoke and mirrors and make people see things that were never there to begin with.
I watched as Noah started to hit the bag harder and harder, talking under his breath about “this is not going to be the end” whatever that means. Some times when I see him talking to himself like that it worries me, I wonder if he is really ok, I wonder if all the hits that he has taken to his head have really done some damage and the man is just really good at hiding everything. I can only hope that Edwards does his part and brings it all to the table and shows the fans the Edwards that had everyone in NAW beaming about the man. I watched him, Noah had me scout the man and I could see that he was the one that had real breakout potential of the Mid South Syndicate and we all had to have seen it. Bohannon was the grizzled veteran that had done plenty of great things in NAW before Noah had got there and then we had Tim Stone that at the time was another newcomer that was supposed to be really good but it was Edwards that was the one that everyone looked at and saw a great future and even though most thought the future would have been in NAW it most certainly hasn't, he has done stuff all over the country, Texas, Atlantic City he had a great run in Fight One and that was where all the tension between Noah and Edwards started and we don't need to cover all that again but to be honest I am not sure how the two are going to work together. I mean Noah would be just fine on his own, he would rather do it that way because I am sure there is a part of him that doesn't trust Edwards but I have seen enough of him in Boardwalk to know that Noah might have been wrong all along about Edwards. See it is part of my job to work up strategies for possible opponents and when I started watching Edwards I saw something that I just think Noah has missed or maybe he doesn't want to see, Edwards fights with honor and valor and Noah just doesn't see it.
Noah finally stopped hitting the bag and walked over to his fridge in the corner and grabbed a bottle of water and took a long drink and then grabbed a towel and wiped his face off and sat down on the bench and took his pulse, sighing loudly and then looked at me as a 'beep, beep' came from my phone, I flipped it open and saw it was a message from EWC and the title read “ Order Entry into Rumble in the Bronx”. I opened up the message and it contained the details of who was in the battle royal and the numbers that were drawn and when Noah would be entering. “Hey?” I yelled at Noah, waving him over to where I was sitting a roll of his eyes later and he walked over to me and sat down. “What?” He asked as he took another drink of water.
“EWC finally replied to us and they got you the place you've drawn in the Rumble match.” I explained as I showed him the text, he gazed at it for a moment and smiled half-heartedly and then took another drink of his water.
“Sixteen huh? Interesting, did you notice that John Blade and LaToya Hixx are in the match as well as Derek Wellings you might remember I was in a company with him a few years ago. Did they finally add me to one of the brands?” He asked as he finished toweling off and handed it to his trainer.
“Yeah it says you are on their “Future Stars of Wrestling” show, that is funny considering how long you have been doing this and they put you on a show about the future.” I joked and even let a giggle slip out.
“I have always looked at myself as the future of the business, what I have done has always been a foundation for what the business trends are like. I mean if you look at Rocky Hollywood the man lives and breathes what I may or may not do, you'd think the man has some sort of crush on me or something. I mean can you blame the guy, the chiseled body even better then his, the charm, the dancing skills and the fact that ladies see me and panties just fly off.” Noah beamed confidently as I rolled my eyes.
“I am sitting right here, the girl you call your fiancee and you talk like THAT with me sitting right here?” I growled at him, grabbing my things and standing up. I just wanted to walk away because sometimes he just doesn't know when to turn the bullshit off. I know that he is hyped for the match at Revenge, having this match, teaming with Edwards at Meltdown has to be in the forefront right now, he can't look past the combination of Phoenix and Hollywood it could be a very dangerous mistake but not to him. I mean look at the man he is having fun, not taking any of this seriously, making jokes and acting like he is half his age but that is also one of the things I love about this man. I mean if people think that the phrase “Are you willing to do anything” is just some sort of tag line or that it is just something to build off of then everyone is for a huge shock because it is something that Noah has made his career out of.
I watched as Noah tossed his now empty bottle of water at me, a sly, confident smile flashed at me and then a casual wink of his eye as he headed to the shower to get cleaned up. “Can you start dinner...?” He yelled back at me causally.
[Back in Noah's Apartment]
I was sitting there looking over some old videos of Noah while some chicken and noodles were simmering, see this is where the phrase “Willing to do anything” comes to mind. With some people it might be a cute little catch phrase, it might be something that is printed on a long sleeve t-shirt that you see on College Gameday but with Noah Hanson it is nothing more then a way of life.

[Noah Hanson vs. Jackson Dre]
[Hotel Match]
[Wrestling Midwest Ace Superior Title Match]
[Noah Hanson's Greatest Matches Vol. 1]
Jack Gene: Wow this has been an incredible match Jackson is fighting tooth and nail with Noah but Noah just looks deranged tonight.
Bill Hughes: Yeah Noah has been on a mission in this match and it looks like Noah is just trying to find that little something to end this match.
[Noah grabs Jackson and whips him into a cleaning cart, Jackson topples over it and Noah grabs the mop and breaks it over the back of Dre leaving huge welt on the back of the champion as he screams in pain. The maid comes out and starts yelling at Noah and he simply tosses her what's left of the mop and turns back towards Dre and he tries a superkick and Noah catches the leg and hits a straight punch right to the groin and Dre drops to the ground in pain, grabbing his balls in pain and agony as Noah looks around and suddenly a wide smile appears and he does the throat slash motion with his left hand and then pulls Jackson to his feet and runs with him and hiptosses Dre out of the second story window of the hotel and we hear Jackson screaming in pain as Noah looks down at Jackson from above and then moments later Noah is shown walking out to the parking lot and the ref is quickly following and Jackson is grabbing his left ankle and is screaming in pain and Noah simply stands on it with his full weight and the ref looks and Jackson is tapping furiously as the ref signals that the match is over.]
Ring Announcer: And you winner and NEW ACE SUPERIOR CHAMPION NOAAAAAHHH HANSSSSONNNN!
Jack: That was something I never saw from Noah that was borderline crazy but Noah took the match to a new level and he is now the Ace Superior champ.
Bill: He did what he had to do to win.
[The ref hands Noah the Ace Superior title as medics arrive to check on Jackson Dre...]

See that is just a taste of what Noah will do to win a match, here is a little bit of history about that match. Jackson Dre....his career was over after that match, he was one of the greatest in Wrestling Midwest history and Noah destroyed his ankle, shattering it, the man has to walk with a cane these days. And that was back when Noah was younger, more prone to do things like this and risk anyones well being if it meant getting a title, glory and fame to go along with being at the top of his game. Now I know what some of you are thinking....he's not like that anymore, Noah doesn't want to willing end careers, he has said that many times that he is not that person anymore. I watched as Noah walked into the room, smiling at me the whole time and pulling down his shorts just enough to show off that farmers tan on his ass.
“Just remember Rocky and Jason you wanted this, you brought the fight to Noah and when Noah brings it to you and you see him standing there, beating the ever loving crap out of you and he screams at you “ARE YOU WILLING TO DO ANYTHING?” just remember he has made a whole career out of doing ANYTHING to win and this match, the match at Revenge and the upcoming match against Jason is that you all wanted this, you made this personal Phoenix, you should have just walked away but now Noah is going to burn you up just like your name implies and then we will watch as something more pathetic rises from the ashes of your burned and mangled corpse. You had earned his respect but now you have earned his wrath and it is going to be coming hard and fast. I mean it will hard to make claims like “Your the best wrestler in NAW” with your jaw wired shut Rocky and it will hard to be called a Living Legend when after the Horizon title match your career will be Dead on Arrival Jason but then again you wanted this to be personal....” I growled as Noah interrupted me and sat down next to me.
“...and now you got it....” Noah said finishing my sentence.

[Career Highlight]
[End Video Playback]
