Kim and Jason Hunter’s Apartment in NYC
Don’t Wake Angel!
Shelley Silver’s record didn’t look very well going into the end of 2016, and being that she wasn’t even on the Wrestlefest card, she didn’t even have to go. She chose to attend, though. Because Shelley was faithful to the EWC. Some might say, a little too faithful. That was in the past, though. There was a lot of things in the past that Shelley would prefer to keep behind her, but certain occurrences dredged the feelings back up.Shelley had canceled her original flight back from the Philipines to Seattle, so the new flight was a little strange and broken up. She found herself in JFK Airport in the morning, and instead of getting a hotel for that night because she wouldn’t be leaving until the next day, she found herself at in the homestead of the son of the very woman who had just accused her of betrayal. She wasn’t sure about how Jason felt about her being there, but little Angel loved her and Kimi said that it was OK. It was around two in the afternoon, and Sloane had helped get Angel down for her nap before hunkering down with Shelley’s schedule for January. Shelley had televised, as well as non-televised, matches coming up, and another movie wasn’t out of the question. Shelley had already somewhat gotten a break from wrestling, but needing a little more was yet to be seen.
She knew that she hadn’t looked the best in the public eye lately, and she was just drunk enough to not look sloppy, and possibly do something embarrassing. Rather, she was at that stage of drunkenness where the truth would come spilling out. She sat down in the dining room while Sloane was in the living room and she set up her camera, looking to film a little vlog.
As the red light turned on, Shelley took a deep breath. The bottle of Fireball whiskey was in view, but that was part of her point. “Making new friends shouldn’t be too much to ask for,” she paused a bit as her opening statement settled in. “I’m twenty-nine years old, but I am only just starting to figure out how things work in the public eye. I come out as a lesbian… yet somehow everytime time I hang out with a man, I am accused of sleeping with him. You see, there are certain things that some people don’t like doing. Guess what! Sleeping with men is that thing for me!” She chuckled as she wet her lips. “But in all seriousness, I have tried dating men. So anyone looking to make comments about me needing to try it… I already have.” She poured herself another shot and quickly downed it, slamming her glass down without a single wince.
“I think that we can all agree that for one reason or another, or well… many reasons… 2016 sucked big elephant balls. My year didn’t start well. That was everyone’s first example of how I deal with my emotions. I just rant, shrug, and walk away. Then two more people came into my life. A girl who works for Wrestle Zone and a co-worker whom… I never even learned his first name. He wanted to be some sort of power couple. In my opinion, a company doesn’t need more than one power couple. EWC has Jaden “Xplode” Hunter and Ruthann Parks-Hunter, and I fully believe that they both still have a few good years in front of them. Well, maybe with a little work and some proper rehabilitation. But the two of you? You are the best that we’ve got. I don’t care what anyone else says. I know that your kid is looking to take over as king of the company, but as much as I love him, I know that he’s not ready. Maybe he’s on the right road for it, but we shouldn’t be ready to let go of Xplode and Ruth.”
Shelley poured herself another shot as she fought back tears. She drank it back and poured herself another drink. She drank that one and then remembered that she had been filming. She took a deep breath, pushing the glass and bottle aside. “As for me right now? I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t know what happened for a month out of my life, including my birthday and two pay-per-view events.” She sighed as a few tears trickled down her cheeks, “I just need…” Before she could finish her sentence, a hand reached across the screen and stopped the recording.
Shelley looked up after the recording ended, freely crying. “Your mother.”
