Hotel in an undisclosed location
Shelley Silver sat at the desk in her hotel suite as she set up her webcam and began recording another random vlog. It wasn't something that she liked to do often, but she felt that there were things that needed to be said. Once she was satisfied with the shot, she took a deep breath before beginning her little speech."I'm not going to be at Hardcore Revolution," Shelley started with a shrug, "I just thought that I would let everyone know." She paused for a moment, scrubbing her hand over her face, "I had planned on being there. However, the man who had agreed to be my partner for the invitational battle royale has let me down. No real surprise here. I actually had fully expected him to not even respond when I had asked him. I am OK with it, though. CHAOS will reign supreme once again."
Shelley smirked, licking her lips. "And the world won't know what hit it." She chuckled softly, "but to my surprise… Mark Storm had said 'yes' to my offer to team up. Haven't heard from him since. Had to turn down someone that I would like to get to know better while waiting for Mark to come back and work on our first step to taking down Legion. I should have known better. I should have just taken up Ace King on his offer. But I didn't… and now I'm here."
Shelley sighed, shaking her head, "so where am I, exactly? Where am I that is not Lexington, Kentucky? Am I in Sacramento, where I will be facing Coral Rose when Seattle Pro Presents: ENVY on the eighth?" She smiled, shrugging, "I could be." She ran her fingers through her hair, sighing. "It doesn't matter, really. I mean, I could come to Lexington for Hardcore Revolution. All someone has to do is ask. I'd gladly grace everyone with my presence."
She let out a small chuckle before continuing, "and before anyone asks, I'm not drunk. I'm just emotionally tired. I promise." She smiled, shaking her head, "is anyone else as surprised as I am that Ashton Drake finally realized that we're not a thing anymore? Only… it's not for the reason that he claims it to be. Yeah, I caught that. Though, I have to admit that the actual reason is along the same lines. You see, all Drake said is that he didn't have time for a relationship and that he was much too obsessed with taking down Xplode once and for all. Well, it was something that he said during all of that obsession is when he truly lost me."
Shelley visibly swallowed as tears filled her eyes. "For two years, Ruthann stood by my side. She helped a girl who had seen a little success on the Indy circuit and showed her how things were really done. She helped me become the wrestler that I am today, but a few words from Ashton Drake brought all of that crashing down. She unceremoniously ended not only our working relationship but our friendship, as well. All because the guy I was seeing said some horrible things about her behind our backs. Things that I would never condone." She sighed, shaking her head, "but whatever. What's done is done. Time to move on."
She paused for a bit, chewing on her bottom lip, "I find it hilarious that John Blade vs Chase Rex is being billed as a rubber match when I am fairly sure that they've never actually faced one another in the ring. When in all actuality, the match between Ashton Drake and Jaden "Xplode" Hunter is, in fact, the very definition of a rubber match. A rubber match is known as the third match between two feuding parties, whom share one win a piece against one another, and show who is the better competitor once and for all. Something that I doubt that I'll ever get from Alexis Morrison."
She shook her head once more, looking away for a moment in thought. "Maybe someday. A girl can dream, anyway. That will happen around the same time I get another shot at Gavin Grimes or Ashleigh Jericho. But hey… I’m sure that I can get myself another match against Luke Wolfe," Shelley rolled her eyes with a groan. "I am just so over him. In every way possible. I don't care if I ever face him again. There are plenty of other people looking to take him down. I just don’t have any faith that JTC will be the one to do it. I've faced both men in the past, and I can clearly declare, without any doubt, that Wolfe will be coming on top of that match." She sighed, drumming her fingers on the desk, "I've said enough. Or maybe I've said too much? Who cares? I'm just… sort of done right now." She shrugged as reached over, ending the recording.
