The scene cuts backstage as Ace Heart is standing outside of the locker room of Jack Tillman. With a microphone in hand, Ace waits patiently for Jack to make his way out before he has his match. Suddenly the door opens and Jack Tillman makes his way out.
Ace Heart: "Jack, a moment of your time."
Jack doesn't pay attention to Ace as he makes his way past him and makes his way towards the arena entrance. Ace is sad at first but is quickly startled when Chris Constantine grabs Ace by the shoulder and stands next to him.
Chris Constantine: "Ace, nice to see you. My apologies about Jack but he's never been the type to do an interview before a match. He's in a very dangerous state of mine right now and if not careful, he may hurt someone. So any questions you have for him, I'll be more than happy to answer."
Ace Heart: "Well thank your Chris, much appreciated. So the question that is in everyone's mind is how has the loss from Eddie Crank affected Jack? And is there going to be a rematch?"
Chris Constantine: "Well let me start off by saying that Eddie put up a well fought fight against Jack Tillman. Now Eddie Crank may have walked out of Stranglemania with the X-Division Title but Jack didn't lose that fight. He learned from that fight Ace. He surpassed expectations from myself and everyone else in the wrestling industry. Think about it Ace, Jack Tillman lasted 4 rounds with Eddie Crank, a well trained MMA fighter that was once a top star in the MMA world. Eddie knows the rules. He's been in this environment and knows what it takes to be in that steel cage. It took Eddie 4 rounds to beat Jack who only had 2 weeks to get ready for this fight. No experience in fighting in a cage and had to learn the rules of the MMA world. In took Jack two weeks Ace, to last four rounds with a well trained MMA fighter in Eddie Crank.
Professional Wrestling and MMA, on the television screen, just looks like two people just beating the living ever shit out of one another. But if you were to break it down and understand the two sports.....they're two completely different things. It's like a world class baseball player trying to be a world class soccer player. They're pretty much the same thing right? There's a ball involved with both sports so it should be easy to transfer into the other sport. But it's not. The rules are different. The cardio is different. The hand eye coordination is different. The way to prepare for the two sports are different. Jack did well in his first ever MMA match and I dare anyone else try to do the same thing Jack just did because they would had failed and got their asses knocked out in the first round. I can only imagine what Jack could had done if he only had one more week of training.
But we don't have to worry about having another MMA type match ever again between these two because it was a once in a life time event. If Eddie wants to have another MMA fight in a cage, then he can go back to the UFC. This is still EWC and it's still a professional wrestling organization. So the next time these two fight, it will be a wrestling match and Eddie will lose because Jack has already proven that Eddie can't beat Jack in a wrestling match.
Now with a rematch for the X-Division title, me personally I don't want Jack any where near that title because it's a gimmick title. Think about it, every time you have to defend that title it has to be in some type of stipulation match or a hardcore match or some specialty match. Matches like those take years off wrestlers life's. They tear muscles, open up wounds, break bones. A title like that is like a cancer.....it kills you slowly. If Eddie Crank wants it so badly.....he can go right ahead and brag that he's the champ. 2 months down the line though when he's out of the business because of a broken neck by defending that title, I won't shed a damn tear because his damn pride got in the way of his own health.
So as of now it's up to management what they want to do. If they want Jack to go one more round with Eddie, that's fine. This time though it better be a wrestling match because if they go down the line of another MMA Match, then Jack and I might as well leave EWC because we came here to wrestler, not to MMA.
Or maybe management is looking for a new contender for the World Title since since Drake retained it at Stranglemania. Griffin Hawk was such a disappointment as an opponent that management is scrambling to find someone worthy of facing Drake. Well Jack Tillman is more than worthy to go head to head with Drake and finally give him an opponent that'll test his limit. You've seen what he can do in that ring. You've seen him perform over in GOL and Redemption. Jack is one of the most dangerous individuals in the wrestling industry today.
The options are limitless for Jack though and he's more than capable of fighting anyone anywhere. Management just needs to pick up their phone....and call the best manager in EWC."
Chris pats Ace on the shoulder one more time as he makes his way towards the direction Jack was heading.
Chris Constantine: "Thanks for the interview Ace. I know you don't get this enough, but keep up the good work."
Ace gets a huge smile on his face as he looks at the camera.
Ace Heart: "That was Chris Constantine ladies and gentlemen, manager of Jack "The Ripper" Tillman. Back to you guys down at ringside.
