July 4th, Independence Day and I watch the fireworks.
Not the real ones.
As far as patriotism goes I´m my own country. I watch a rerun of Scars and Stripes in my hotel room in Michigan and while the rest of the city celebrates Uncle Sam I celebrate Hope Diamond.
Two months with the company and it wasn´t all bad.
To begin with the look at my bank account warms my heart. The two months of work really paid off which measn there are far more riches to be found in the EWC.
And Crazy J brought out his darkness. That helicopter stunt was pretty cool but otherwise he hasn´t shaken my world too much. Brawl and Rampage have some new players now and they aren´t boy scouts. I never liked boy scouts anyway. Gonna spread my own darkness elsewhere.
It was nice to see Kristian Bane lose after he thought he could destroy the man I merely beat. Now think again Kris about what I can do.
But the big guy isn´t my main concern these days. There is Otaki. She´d be my target anyway now that she successfully defended my title. The fact that she interrupted MY interview and stole MY screen time makes the thought of whooping her little ass in a championship match only that more fun.
The first mark however, is my soon-to-be tag team partner Lexie Glass. The girl thinks she knows how to be a bitch. That´s really amusing. Just because she slept around with the wrong guys before getting into wrestling doesn´t mean she knows anything about being a bitch. No doubt she will learn. School is back on soon. Tomorrow I will have breakfast with Lou and Janko. I´m sure Lou wants to build me up into a number one contender for a belt. I´m happy with that as long as we shatter some glass along the way.
My plans to ask Lou to introduce me to Vic Price are on hold though. With Drake on the roll again the egghead may not be someone I want to associate with. Like boy scouts falling stars are not my favorite company.
Independence Day is almost over.
But the fireworks are just about to begin.

Somewhere in another hotel room in Michigan someone else is watching a rerun of Scars and Stripes too. The hotel room is completely dark except for the flickering TV screen and a single candle lit on a coffee table beside a glass of red wine.
A hand reaches out into the small circle of light and brings the glass up to the lips of Lou Thirteen while on the TV the match for the Television Championship just comes to an end.
==============================
Harvey Yorke tries to slide into the ring to break up the pin, but he's too late - Three!
DING DING DING
Nina Dobrev: And your winner by pinfall, AND NEW EWC Television Champion, VALORA THOMAS!!!
Valora Thomas rolls over into a seated position, and nearly weeps tears of joy as she is handed the EWC Television Championship belt, right in full view of her manager and inspiration, Mick.
=============================
This is not good. It could reset the clock in a game Lou has heavily invested in. With a quick tap on the remote control Lou switches off the screen. The rest of Scars & Stripes is of no consequence to him. He drains his glass empty and blows out the candle.
Plans need to be modified and pawns need to be moved around into new positions but so far nothing is lost.
He´s still in the game.
