YOUNG RENEGADE!
The crowd erupt into a mix of surprise and cheers as Hollywood Undead's 'Renegade', the theme song for Amis Shelton, hits the speakers. After a moment or so, the man himself emerges from the curtains which only intensify the reaction!
Emmanuelle: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the #1 contender for the EWC World Heavyweight Championship... Amis Shelton!
Amis makes his way to the ring, soaking in the positive reaction from the fans. He enters the ring and respectfully receives the microphone from Emmanuelle. The music fades and Amis raises the microphone to his lips with a smile on his face.
Amis Shelton: Well, well, well... So this is Friday Night Rampage huh? This is the land of the green?
The fans cheer in appreciation for their brand.
Amis Shelton: I guess the reason why I'm here is that I need to address a little important something that's happening real soon, here on Rampage. A little contest, I'm not sure if you've heard about it or not but thanks to the happenings at StrangleMania we've got ourselves a little Undisputed Championship match happening on Rampage in 2 weeks time.
The fans roar with cheers, some even starting a YES! chant. Amis just smirks.
Amis Shelton: Oh so you have heard about it then? Well, then I guess I should just stop beating around the bush then shouldn't I? Right here in two weeks, it will be yours truly, Amis Fuckin' Shelton, going one-on-one with Friday night's own Luke Wolfe for the EWC Undisputed Championship, or the World Heavyweight Championship depending on who you ask. Now since Luke's decided to go off on a journey to notify all the brands about the gold on his waist, I figured I should do the same. So tonight, I'm here to inform all of you that I will be defeating Luke Wolfe and I'll be taking his Championship.
Loud 'oohs' emanate from the audience. Amis' expression turns serious.
Amis Shelton: This match would be considered by many to be a dream match between two of the greatest talents the EWC has to offer. First time ever Amis Shelton versus Luke Wolfe, you slap that on a promotional poster and you're guaranteed a sellout, throw the richest prize in all of wrestling and what do we have? An instant classic waiting to happen.
Amis begins to pace around the ring as he speaks.
Amis Shelton: It's been a dream of mine, ever since I first stepped foot inside a wrestling ring back in Illinois, to hold a World Championship. The good thing about dreams, however, is that they evolve. You accomplish one and another pops up in its place. I became a World Champion, but that wasn't enough. I needed to join the elite talent, I needed to test myself, I needed to come to the EWC. So here I am signed to the greatest wrestling promotion on this earth so what's next? Easy. Become the World Champion in the EWC.
The crowd show their appreciation for Amis' goals with applause and cheers.
Amis Shelton: I know what it's like to square up with the ultimate prize on the line. I've been within touching distance of the gold before and it's a feeling that I will never forget because its a feeling I want to experience more of. So to say that I'm envious of Luke Wolfe, well that goes without saying. In fact, we're similar people in the sense that we were talented, and boy did people know it, but we weren't quite at the Xplode or Ashton Drake level. We had to carve our own opportunities and force the doors of opportunity to open for us.
Amis mood begins to intensify as shown by the intensity of his voice and movements which have become short and sharp.
Amis Shelton: We were held down, but now look at us. We are the stars of the show now and Luke you've reached the pinnacle. But I want to do more than just join you at the mountain peak, I want to knock you off and claim that mountain for my own. This is my second opportunity to challenge for the EWC Undisputed Championship and I'll be damned if I waste this opportunity. See you in two weeks, Wolfe pup.
With that said, Amis drops the microphone and stares out to the crowd as 'Renegade' resumes playing and we fade to EWC TV ADVERT
