Here is Part One of the Two-part piece.
----=====----
Noah didn’t have to say much to his wife or best friend. He pointed in two different directions, Widow on his right and Khary on his left. Carter was standing next to him, peering through the sniper scope. He looked down, Carter laser focused.
“You are focused.”
“I want to get her home, like all of you.”
He smiled softly, looking out. There were guards, but not nearly as many as he thought. He then grabbed a burn phone, quickly making a call.
“Crash, give me some news.”
A sigh came from the other end and it wasn’t good. As he listened to the report, his hands started shaking and he walked over to his wife. Widow looked at him, noting his face turning white. He hung the phone up and looked at her.
“She is literally inside that house, Crash gave me word that he took her into one of the rooms inside. They haven’t been seen in about three hours.”
“Doesn’t explain the lack of security.”
“It’s fuckin’ Marco. He is lax on security because the fucker got away with stuff for so long…”
His head flipped back to a balcony that was in the line of view. He saw Marco….and Mona. Eyes went to scopes of sniper rifles...but Noah didn’t need one to see this. He knew this side of her. He watched as she kept her fists flying, he saw the tears in her eyes.
“Do not fire unless I give the word. She is fighting.”
Carter growled. Noah looked down at him, hoping he wouldn’t jump to conclusions.
“God damn it Foxy. I don’t want to hit you…”
“You won’t.”
“Keep your mind clear and focus on the guy she is leaving lay.”
-------=======------
All she could do was throw fists. Her tears were heavy. The screams could probably be heard for miles, but she never cared.
“You used us you bastard!”
One more kick to his stomach and she backed off. She was covered in crimson from head to toe. Several cuts on her own face, but most of it coming from him. He stood up, a wicked laugh escaping him. The pair turned to where his back was against the wall.
“Go on then, finish me off. End me. For J, for Maria.”
She growled. She charged him, blind to everything. He moved, her arms breaking the force of hitting the wall. He grabbed her by the hair and yanked her back into his arms.
“This could have been avoided, my dear. All you had to do? Not send that text message. Yet you, as per usual had to be a bitch. Going off and doing things your own way. Now? Now we go back inside and I can do what I couldn’t to your precious sister.”
She elbowed him in the stomach, blood flying against the white wall. She flipped him over her shoulder and she just started wailing more punches in. All the while not even realizing she was being watched…
-------=======------
He watched for any signs of the fight ending. Noah just stood there, Widow awaiting his word. Khary was silent in all of this, but he knew that Noah knew what he was doing.
“All of you, take out the guards, I am going to be quick about this. Once done, keep your eyes on the balcony. The second any of you see that fuckers head pop up? You take the shot.”
He then bolted as fast as he could. He stopped at the bottom of the hill, blew a kiss to his wife and smiled.
“Together love. I am getting her out of there.”
“Together. I know you will. Stay safe.”
He pulled out a handgun and started taking off toward the front door. Noah heard shots ringing out, but it was the snipers behind him. He knew he was about to have a clear path getting to the door. As soon as he was at the door, he heard more of a commotion inside.
“Where are you Fox?”
“Marco, fucking bastard.”
He popped in the door, gun pointed at Marco as he stopped. Marco just smirked.
“So its the brother that rescued her from my hands in the Navy.”
“It's the General that should never have had his position to start with.”
“Now why the hostility?”
“Because once again, you are the one that almost has Mona in a damned grave. I saved her then, here I am now. The only difference is? You seem much worse for wear now.”
The cackle made the hair on Noah’s arms stand on end, but he never once dropped his weapon. Marco came charging after him, Noah dodging. Marco ran head first into the wall, bouncing back into a kick to his face from Noah. Marco soon fell on the ground. Noah grabbed the man by the hair and made him look up into his eyes.
“Where is she?”
“You will never know.”
Marco kicked Noah off of him and before he got a chance to get up, three more shots rang out. His body fell lifeless in front of Noah and when Noah looked up, he saw Mona, with what looked to be Marco's own weapon. Tears streamed down her face.
“One for J, One for Ria....and one for me you asshole. Now rot in your grave.”
Noah slowly walked over to Mona as she threw the weapon down. He heard footsteps and he turned, gu ndrawn. He saw Khary and lowered his weapon….Khary looking at Mona.
“She is not going…”
“She fired the shots. Three, one of her brother, sister and herself. She knew where to hit him too. He collapsed instantly from the loss of blood.”
“Smart girl.”
“Broken, but smart.”
“We need to get her out of here Noah. Before the cops show up.”
He nodded and looked back down at Mona.
“We need to get going.”
“I’m sorry…”
“You wouldn’t have sent the texts if you were not sorry. We need to go before the cops show up. You have a man out there worried sick about you.”
“Carter?”
He nodded and Mona stood up. She wrapped an arm around Noah’s shoulder and together he and Khary got her out of the house without too much complication. They managed to get across the yard and back up the hill with little issue. When they reached the top of the hill, Mona saw Carter...and her sniper rifle.
“You….You kept it?”
“I love you Foxy. Wouldn’t make sense for me to rescue you without you by my side. By the way, third time now, is that the charm?”
She slightly chuckled and hugged Carter, crying in his arms. Noah walked over and kissed his wife gently.
“This is not over, not for her at least. My sister and wife finally safe.”
“We will be there for her. Family after all.”
Khary looked at the group, nodding to himself.
“Now before we get caught, let’s get the hell out of here. We need to get Mona cleaned up and back to the states.”
They all nodded and headed out. Mona kept quiet…
...she knew the real work was just starting for her.
