Brawl presents: GAMBIT
From the Pioneer Stadium in Hayward, CA
The show opens inside a studio setup, with lead Brawl commentary Joe Aiello greeting us.
Aiello: Hello and welcome to GAMBIT! I'm Joe Aiello, and tonight's edition of the house show spectacular is coming to you from the Pioneer Stadium in Hayward, where we saw the red brand debut of some of our newest Superstars on what ended up being a very chaotic evening! In just a moment we'll show some of the highlights of the night, including Eavan Maloney, Naoki Arakawa, and Gabriel Ohio, but before we get to that we're gonna take a look back at Parabellum!
A video package plays showing highlights from Parabellum: the Highland Games and the Championship Scramble, the Tag Team Championship match which saw the Southern Express take the prize from DSR Volume II, the Night of Champions Hype Tag Match between the champions of all four brands, and the Brand Warfare main event! The video ends with a reminder that fans can watch the replay on PPV and EWCTV today, before we fade to an ad for the EWCTV service...

Ursus
VS Gabriel Ohio
The first match of GAMBIT sees Gabriel Ohio making his debut against the up and coming Ursus!
DING DING DING
Ohio is on the offensive from the opening bell, laying into Ursus with some hard lefts and rights before sending him into the corner. He's looking to make a statement as he nails Ursus with a shoulder in the midsection, bringing him down to the canvas before Ohio scoops him back up. Ursus manages to catch Ohio by surprise with a small package, but that only gets him a one count before Ohio goes right back on him with some clubbing forearms and a lariat!
Ohio picks Ursus up, hitting a powerbomb...and another one...and lifts him back up, sending Ursus into the turnbuckles to finish the set! KISS OF THE CERBERUS!
Ursus is out cold, but Ohio isn't finished with him just yet as he hoists Ursus back up, holding him in the air for a bit before dropping him down...FALL FROM GRACE! That looks to be it as Ohio goes for the cover, and picks up a pinfall victory to earn his MNB contract!
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall... GABRIEL OHIO!Gabriel Ohio picks up a big win tonight on GAMBIT, earning an official spot on the roster! The man looks quite dangerous in this one, what will happens when he squares off against the rest of the red brand?
We cut backstage, where we hear a commotion and quickly discover its source: Grimsbane and Tenjitsu are having a go at each other, trading lefts and rights in a brawl that brings them directly to the office of the General Manager himself! Jim Connors opens his office door to see what all the fuss is about while officials and staff come rushing in to break up the fight. In the chaos, Connors gets smacked in the head with a wayward kick from Tenjitsu, and that seems to be the thing that sets him off!
Connors: Alright, that's enough out of the two of you! This insanity is bad enough on Monday nights without people coming into my brand and popping off at each other on the house shows! You two are gonna have to learn a hard lesson tonight...you two are off the show, and that means you'll have to find another way to earn your contracts in the future! You'll have to go home and sort yourselves out before you can so much as think about coming back onto the red brand! Now get outta here!
Security comes in now, escorting both men out of the backstage area as Jim regains his composure, walking off as we cut back to ringside.
El Gran Azul
VS 荒川直樹 [Naoki Arakawa]
The Great Bluchador has returned to action after spending what seems like ages in the hospital, and he is facing the debuting Naoki Arakawa in what should be a spectacular clash of styles and ideologies!
DING DING DING
Azul starts the match off by playing to the crowd here in Hayward, much to the confusion of Arakawa...who lays in a hard chop on the chest of the Bluchador! Azul reels back from the strike as Arakawa goes on the full offensive with some impressive strong style strikes, finishing the set with an elbow to the head that sends Azul clear across the ring to the opposite corner!
Arakawa doesn't let up as he gets to the corner, laying in a few more chops to the chest for good measure. Azul manages to push him away long enough to get some space, but an attempt to land a punch on the Senshi goes horribly wrong as Arakawa blocks before catching the Bluchador with a belly to belly suplex!
The crowd might have been rooting for Azul early on, but they are clearly impressed with the Arakawa's prowess as he goes to work on the arm, wrenching it as we see Azul in immense pain. Arakawa brings Azul down to the canvas, Azul pressed down as the Senshi locks in a briding Fujiwara armbar! KAWA NO SHINSHOKU! Azul can't take it anymore, quickly tapping out as the ref calls for the bell!
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via submission... NAOKI ARAKAWA!Naoki Arakawa quickly making a statement as he bests the Bluchador and earns a place on the BRAWL roster!
We cut away from the in-ring action for another video package, this one hyping up the main event of Night of Champions:
AS BRAND WARFARE CONTINUES TO RAGE ON IN EWC, WHO WILL RISE ABOVE THE POWER STRUGGLE AND PROVE THEY ARE TRULY THE UNDISPUTED CHAMPION TO CLAIM THE BIGGEST PRIZE IN THE INDUSTRY?
NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS XVII

AUGUST 31ST, 2020
Peach Gelato
VS Eavan "Krigare" Maloney
Eavan Maloney makes her debut against an up and comer in Peach Gelato, but can Peach put a sour note on Eaven's attempt to earn a spot on the red brand? Let's find out!
DING DING DING
Maloney gets the early advantage as she lays into Gelato with a flurry of offense that sends Gelato into the corner, before hitting a couple chops on Gelato in the corner and finishing things off with a bulldog from the corner! Not letting up, Eavan unleashes a lovely snap suplex on Gelato before going for a pin...only for Gelato to just barely kick out at two!
Maloney is less than pleased by this, and only uses the frustration to fuel another wave of offense that culminates in a release German suplex. Gelato slowly gets back to her feet, taking a wide swing that Eavan easily dodges before hitting an enziguri!
Gelato is sent reeling toward the ropes, which gives Eavan a chance to hit the ropes to deliver a nasty flatliner! THE LAST WORD! Eavan quickly goes for the cover, and gets the win to earn her spot!
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall... EAVAN MALONEY!Eavan Maloney secures her spot on the roster with an impressive victory!
And with that, we cut back to the studio where Joe Aiello is standing by.
Aiello: And there you have it, folks! Three wrestlers who have become an official part of the BRAWL roster, and we look forward to seeing them make their debut next month, not long after EWC presents Night of Champions XVII! We'll be seeing you later tonight for Monday Night BRAWL #559, but until then I'm Joe Aiello saying so long!
