OFFICIAL PARAMOUNT WRESTLING CONTRACT
Melody Malone
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Birth Name: Emily Lazarus
Wrestling Name: Melody Malone
Nicknames: The Queen of the EWC | The Siren of Scorn | The Dreamslayer
Picture Base: Elizabeth Gillies
Date of Birth: 06/12/1996
Height: 5', 7”
Weight: 145 Lbs
Place of Birth: Omaha, Nebraska
Billed From (if different from POB): San Diego, California
CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character Disposition / Alignment: Neutral Evil
Fighting Style: High Flyer/Striking
In-Ring Strengths:
Instinctual - she rarely stops and thinks before acting.
No Fear - her high risk nature has made her feel invincible - and after losing part of her pinky to her own ambitions, she feels she's untouchable.
In-Ring Flaws:
Egotistical: After a stellar 2022 season, Malone has inflated her ego even larger (if thats even possible). She has become less concerned with ending the match quickly, and more interested in asserting her claim as Queen in the ring - whether that be through refusing to finish the match (ie., breaking her own pinfalls, etc) or through extraneous assault. Unfortunately, this can bite her in the ass as she gets ahead of herself and gives her opposition openings to regain control.
Desperate: In addition to gaining her ego, she’s begun to develop tunnel vision. She’s willing to take risks she probably doesn’t need to in order to stand out from the crowd and be the name on everyone’s lips. She has embraced cruelty in the ring, as evidenced by her actions at Wrestlefest
Ring Attire: Black studded halter top with a pair of black studded shorts (similar to here sans the arm wrappings) with black studded fingerless gloves.
Backstage Attire: On shows she’s competing on, she will be in her ring attire, with the addition of her crown and her trusty hand mirror. When she’s not booked to compete, Melody is in any number of various business formal outfits. She lends herself more toward feminine suits/dress as seen here, here, and here.
THEME SONG & ENTRANCE
Theme Music: '“You Should See Me In A Crown” (IIZI Remix) – Billie Eilish
SHORT ENTRANCE: The lights dim, but don’t go dark before the soft words of Billie Eilish’s “You Should See Me In A Crown” begin to play over the P.A. system. Melody comes out from backstage with her crown upon her head and her personal retainer Rory Hyland in tow. She’s unflinching to the crowd’s expression as she comes down the entrance ramp. Rory gets onto the apron, holding the ropes open for Melody to climb through without losing her crown. As Melody climbs into the ring, she gives the crowd a sarcastic smile before she relinquishes the crown to Rory and prepares for her match.
MAIN EVENT / PPV ENTRANCE:
The lights dim, but don’t go dark before the soft words of Billie Eilish begin to play over the P.A. system.
Bite my tongue bide my time
Wearing a warning sign
Wait till the world is mine
Visions I vandalize
Cold in my kingdom size
Fell for these ocean eyes
As the chorus hits, a bright flash of pyro explodes from the base of the EXT in stereo with the bang and Melody Malone stands on the stage, flanked by her personal retainer Rory Hyland. Melody stands with a crown atop her head as a spotlight follows them down to the ring.
Starr: Making her way to the ring, accompanied by Rory… she is YOUR QUEEN of EWC… MELODY MALONE!
You should see me in a crown
I'm gonna run this nothing town
Watch me make 'em bow
One by one by one
One by one by
Rory climbs onto the apron first, holding the ropes open as Melody climbs the stairs and steps through with her chin held up to keep the crown atop her head. She gives the crowd a sarcastic smile as they boo, and she gingerly removes the crown from her head and hands it off to Rory as he exits.
You should see me in a crown
Your silence is my favorite sound
Watch me make 'em bow
One by one by one
One by one by one
The lights come back up to full brightness, and Melody has her gloves tugged into place as she rakes her hair back and prepares for her opponent.

MINI BIOGRAPHY
Emily was born in Nebraska and is the youngest of 3 siblings. Both her siblings are brothers and polar opposites. Her oldest brother (Derek Lazarus) got a scholarship to go to the University of Nebraska and graduated in 2012 as a biochemical engineer. Her younger brother of the two (Adam Lazarus) was arrested in late 2015 on class 1D felony charges for manufacturing and distributing controlled substances and is in prison serving out a 25 year sentence, eligible for parole as early as 2029. Her dad (George Lazarus) is an insurance adjuster, and her mom (Deborah Greene-Lazarus) worked as an RN evenings and overnights so she rarely saw her growing up. Her mom has since left her dad after her brother’s incarceration.
She graduated high school in 2014 with average grades and no real direction. She saved the money she’d made working as a part-time clerk at KFC to move to California, desperate to get out of Nebraska and away from the “corn fields and cow shit”. She quickly realized that the cost of living in Nebraska was WAY less than California. She took the first job she could find, working as a waitress in LA, but barely scraping by to the point of where she had to move south to San Diego for a better quality of life (cost of living is lower, etc). She managed to get a desk job in San Diego, working as an administrative assistant for a construction engineering company in late 2015. She spent the next year and a half working a soul-sucking job, not finding any fulfillment and eventually hearing about a new gym opening up looking for people interested in learning to wrestle/fight in the fall 2017. She knew what it was, but had zero idea of what it actually took. She started out very poorly, almost timid at first - but during a post-training sparring session, she wound up taking a badly placed stiff shot from another rookie. This pushed her to fight back harder, almost as though she took the bad shot personally. After the session ended, she was pulled aside by the head trainer Becky, and was urged to use THAT. Use that fire going forward. She made a point to stress that while she was only training now, if she couldn’t disassociate herr opponent from ‘friends’ or ‘co-workers’, then she wouldn’t succeed.
Her training picked up - and she learned very quickly how to cover up bruises and the scrapes from the ring for work. She found the idea of fighting as a sort of catharsis. She enjoys seeing what she’s capable of, and is (despite not being willing to outwardly show it much) very excited to see where this possible path can take her. She also has taken a larger interest in the industry at large, and has seen the way that “normal” people have transcended into new identities all together, and craves the possibility of never being ‘Emily’ again.
2018 saw Melody learning the ropes, as it were, and capping off her first foray into the EWC as the #1 contender to the FSW championship.
Malone would kickstart a phenomenal rookie season in 2019, by winning the FSW championship on January 30th from Robina Hood on episode #013 of Uprising in Daly City. She would go on to lose the FSW championship in her first defense at Stranglemania to Stitches in the first and only Wondercrush match in EWC history. She earned two rematches later on that season, only to fall short both times. Melody would turn her attention to teaming with fellow member of America’s Most Hated, Draco Lazarus and look toward a tag team championship run. Earning their number one contendership at Night of Champions, it seemed like the Aristocrats were well on their way to tag team gold.
2019 would take a sharp turn at the end of August, as rumors began circulating around Melody Malone and fellow EWC star Cyrus Black. With the EWC Rumble looming on the horizon, Draco Lazarus would leave the EWC on the heels of the breaking story about Malone’s infidelity with the Undisputed champion and seemingly leave her without a partner for their impending tag team championship match. Melody would reach out to fellow America’s Most Hated member Iggy Swango and turn lemons into lemonade, not only securing the EWC Tag Team championships at the Rumble in Texas… but winning the Rumble and punching her ticket to the four-day wrestling event Wrestlefest where she would face the Undisputed champion, and her acknowledged lover, Cyrus Black himself. Melody would go on to win the Undisputed championship at Wrestlefest and cap off the 2019 season as a dual champion, the EWC’s Female Superstar of the Year, and EWC Rookie of the Year.
Melody would begin 2020 as the Undisputed champion, but promptly dropped her first match of the 21st EWC season to Scorpio. This gave Scorpio the shot he’d been looking for since Night of Champions, as he claimed his rightful spot across from Malone at Stranglemania. The two would fight through a Hell in a Cell match, that led to both Creme de la Creme and Vanessa, their two respective managers to be dropped off of the cell and through tables. Melody and Iggy would successfully defend the EWC tag team championships earlier in the night at Stranglemania however, and go on to hold tag team gold until a one night tournament on Brawl #555 where they were thwarted in the finals by the unlikely duo of Ace King and fellow member of America’s Most Hated - Dominic Sanders. The Dream Sound Revolution Part Deux would cash in their rematch clause and walk into Scars and Stripes against the Diamond Dogs in a wargames match. The Even Foxier Ladies were victorious, claiming their second reign as EWC tag team champions after eventually making Ace King pass out.
The second half of 2020 would take a sharp turn. Shortly after losing the Tag Team titles at Parabellum, Malone would wind up being on the winning team alongside Nezumi Hazama for Team Rampage in the brand warfare match. The victory would lead Malone to a triple threat match on Rampage between the X-Division champion Ace King and the United States champion Samantha Hamilton. Melody would pick up the ‘W’ and earn herself a title shot, but kept that in her back pocket as Night of Champions came in hot and the Foxy Ladies were once again slated for tag team gold.
In an unfortunate mishap, their best 2 out of 3 falls match with the Southern Express was ended after the first fall as Iggy Swango suffered a shoulder injury and was deemed unfit to continue. Melody would turn back to singles competition with her tag partner on the sidelines and enter herself into the EWC Rumble, looking to be the only person in EWC history to win back to back. Coming in at number 4, Malone had a very respectable run but was eventually eliminated late in the match by Jordan Sharpe. Melody would have a shaky run of it after the Rumble, dropping a match against Scorpio but resurging at Youngblood against Ryo Hazama to win the EWC United States championship. Melody would skate into Wrestlefest on the heels of a “match” on Dominic Sanders’ retirement tour at the Rampage finale, cementing the hierarchy of America’s Most Hated and officially bringing her lover Cyrus Black into the fold. Malone would then go on to defend the United States championship in a triple threat elimination match, forcing Ryo Hazama to pass out via Cyrus’ own submission move before besting Samantha Hamilton in a TLC match for her first official successful singles title defense. After succeeding in retaining the United States championship at both Wrestlefest 2020 and her personal bane of Stranglemania, Malone became obsessed with keeping the coveted championship within her grasp. A devastating pair of losses at Wrestlefest silenced the bitter tongue of the Queen, but gave her an immeasurable clarity as she stares dead ahead at the 2022 EWC season.
2022 started with the Queen shooting straight out of the gate. Racking up five wins in four shows, Melody would forge an undefeated streak going into Stranglemania. She fell, literally, short but her persistence continued on Rampage - notching five more wins and putting her straight into a one on one match with Undisputed champion Killjoy Ito at Scars and Stripes. Malone found herself victorious, but not without great sacrifice as throughout the bout with Killjoy Ito, she ended up severing 2/3rds of her pinky finger off during a particularly gruesome spot involving a board of scissors. The Queen kept the crown on straight, defending her championship successfully against the likes of Ace King and Narumi Tsutsumi before daring to stare down the largest task of the season in front of her... the gauntlet of 29 other superstars in the Rumble match. Malone entered 18th and outlasted the rest of the field to successfully defend her championship. The tide would turn quickly though, as 2022 BORT winner and United States champion Lavender would fell the Queen in a last woman standing match at Uncensored. Malone would instantaneously demand her rematch for Wrestlefest, turning the would be one on one between Lavender and Night of Champions Insanity Cage match winner El Pablo into a triple threat. Killjoy would make it a four way dance as he cashed in his rematch clause from Scars and Stripes - and the four would go through absolute hell in the main event of Night Four of Wrestlefest. Bloodied, all four of them would vie for the gold but in the end it was the Queen who returned to her rightful place on the throne. Now, with season 2023 looming ahead and the Legend of the Ring tournament dangling that bejeweled carrot in front of her majesty, one can only wonder what sort of cruelty we can expect going into the next season of Rampage and indeed EWC as a whole.
