The show starts off with video footage detailing historic events over Monday Night BRAWL's history.
From episode 001 in 1997 all the way down to the last episode #566 in London.

Sped up footage then shows a special montage of Memphis Reigns, Shadow Man, Hirsh Valentine, Jesse Nunez, Hurricane Jeff, Moses Lake, James Chambers, BDC, Jay Cee, Stray, Gladiator, The Rev, Ruthann Hunter, Ashton Drake and then Xplode all with the EWC Championship.

Aiello: Hello everyone, and konichiwa from the land of the rising sun as we present Monday Night BRAWL! I'm Joe Aiello alongside Steve Bennett, and we have an absolute stacked show ahead of us as we start getting ready for the road to Hardcore Revolution!
Bennett: Things have been heating up on the red brand Joe, and our main event is going to be a big opportunity for one of our most recent signees! Nightcall has been looking to make a statement since debuting on BRAWL, and he's got his toughest challenge yet in Xavier Reid in non-title action! The International Champion is one hard-hitting son o' bitch and he's gonna want to shut Nightcall up here tonight!
Aiello: Before we get there we have a big title match as Bosa defends the FX Championship against Jack Severn, who has had a few choice words against the champ leading into this contest! We're going to see if Severn can take away the heart of the champion, or if Beastmode activates once again to retain!
Bennett: What a helluva slugfest that's gonna be, Joe! On top of that, we have TWO X-Division matches in store, with one seeing the Undisputed Champion in non-title action as Ace King faces off against Gabrielle Visconty in a rematch from their encounter at Legends of the Cage! We also have a grudge match in order as King Flip squares off against Callie Clark, looking to settle a score that's been building up!
Aiello: Indeed, we have a couple brutal matches ahead of us there! Before we get to all that, we have Scott Coltrane looking to make a statement of his own against Zack Tyler, and in our opening contest we have Antoni Malietoa taking on Davey Dunham! That match is up next, don't go away folks!

[SINGLES MATCH]
Antoni Malietoa
VS Davey Dunham
VS Davey Dunham
We're at ringside where the commentary team is getting ready to call our first match of the night!
Aiello: Brawl 567 is set to kick things off with a one-on-one match between Davey Dunham and The Great Warrior, Antoni Malietoa! There's been a lot of buzz surrounding this match, and for good reason. Dunham's been off to a rough start here in the EWC, and a win tonight could literally give him all the momentum he needs to turn things around. I gotta hand it to him, he's more resilient than we've given him credit for. He simply refuses to give up. But is that going to be enough to get him a win here tonight against Malietoa, who's only lost one match this season and--for all intents and purposes--looks to be in his prime?
Bennett: Don't forget to mention who the one loss came from. It was Ace King! Anybody else, and Malietoa would probably still be undefeated this season. I think Dunham's got his work cut out for him, but you're right about this being his chance to turn things around. It doesn't seem likely he'll be able to beat Antoni Malietoa, but we've all seen stranger things here in the EWC!
Aiello: You're right about that! Now let's go over to Jessica Stroup who is all set to begin the introductions!
Stroup: The following match is scheduled for one fall! Joining us first, from Columbia, South Carolina, weighing in at 220-pounds ... DAVEY DUNHAM!
"Crossroads" by I Prevail starts up and Davey heads on out from backstage with Alex Berenstein and Owen Titleman behind him. They accompany Davey on his way down to the ring, but what's this? Davey knuckle-bumps his buddies, and now they're heading to the back. Davey wants to do this on his own, and the fans seem to be getting behind him even more so than usual. Davey slides into the ring, poses for the Tokyo crowd, and then settles into his corner to await the start of the match.
Aiello: Davey's just dismissed his friends from ringside. He wants Malietoa one-on-one, and I can respect that!
Fog engulfs the entrance ramp, highlighted by green lights as "Be Somebody" by Fort Minor begins to play throughout the arena. From the smoke emerges Antoni Malietoa with his eyes wide and arms out to his sides.
Stroup: And his opponent, from Apia, Samoa by way of Auckland, New Zealand, weighing in at 254-pounds ... He is The Great Warrior ... ANTONI MALIETOA!
As the fog clears, Antoni takes a step forward as he psychs him self up with a yell. Antoni makes his way to the ring, pulls himself up from the floor by the top rope and then steps over the top rope and into the ring as he prepares to do battle.
DING DING DING
Dunham and Malietoa start things off with a handshake just as the bell sounds. They each take a few steps back and begin circling the ring, eyeing each other up. The fans are cheering for them both. They move in to begin! Malietoa with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex on Dunham, which connects, but Dunham uses the momentum to roll right through and return to his feet. He spins around to face Malietoa, who's looking a little surprised, but gives Dunham a nod out of respect. Davey charges in and hits a Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors Takedown on Antoni. Now it's Dunham nodding his head respectively as Malietoa is equally as fast getting back up. The two men go back to circling the ring and the fans show their appreciation with a mix of DAY-VEE and AN-TON-I chants. Dunham and Malietoa move in to lock up, the latter able to use his size advantage to get Davey in a High-Wrenching Arm Bar, but through a series of rolls, Davey escapes. A Spinning Legsweep from Dunham and Malietoa falls to his back. He doesn't stay down for long. Davey runs to the ropes, rebounds, ducks beneath a Forearm from Antoni, rebounds off the opposite side, leap-frogs over a Spear attempt by Malietoa and rebounds yet again, but now Antoni puts him down with an incredibly-fast Scoop Powerslam. Davey stares up at the ceiling with the breath knocked out of him. Not much movement from Davey for several moments, but then he kips-up and the two men go back to circling the ring. The fans are loving it!
Aiello: Davey looking to prove that he's ready for his comeback from injury here, and it looks like he's having a few words with Antoni now!
Bennett: Yeah, I wonder if it's a show of sportsmanship or trash talk!
We can't quite make out what they're saying, but Antoni and Davey exchange a few words as they move around the ring. Davey holds both his hands out to Antoni in what looks like an attempt to lock-up with The Great Warrior. Malietoa gives Davey a look as if to ask him do-you-really-wanna-do-that, Dunham nods his head, and so the two men lock hands, and now we see Antoni use his height and strength to bring Davey to his knees, but WAIT! Davey flips Antoni over his shoulders and to the mat! Unbelievable! Both men get back to their feet. Davey's amped up, cartwheeling and flipping around the ring to get the fans to make more noise, pumping his hands in the air. The arena gets louder! Davey turns his attention back on Malietoa, but he's caught by a kick to the midsection, followed by the Malosi Evenflow DDT out of nowhere! Malietoa hooks the leg and Dunham gets a shoulder up at 2-and-a-half. Malietoa waits for Davey to get up on his knees and charges in with a Running Knee Strike, but Davey leans back, narrowly evading the move. Another kip-up from Dunham, ducking beneath a Forearm from Antoni, and running toward the ropes, but no! Dunham makes a beeline to the corner and in one fluid motion he hops up on the turnbuckle, looks over his shoulder to spot Antoni's location, then backflips off the turnbuckle, contorting his body in mid-air to hit Malietoa with a Crossbody! Antoni goes down with the weight of his opponent on top of him! Davey quickly hooks the leg, but Malietoa kicks out at two!
Aiello: Davey coming close with that, but Antoni is far from down and out!
Davey's clearly starting to run out of steam now, but he knows he has to keep the pressure on Malietoa if he wants to win it, so as Antoni goes to stand up again, Davey goes to lock in a Rear Naked Choke! Antoni struggles for a few moments, but slowly lifts Davey up in the air. Davey refuses to let go despite Antoni not giving him a choice. Once back on his feet, wearing Davey like a backpack, Antoni falls backward and the impact knocks Davey loose. NO IT DOESN'T! Davey reapplies the lock, and this time Antoni's got nowhere to go! BUT WAIT! Antoni rolls over onto his stomach and pushes himself up. Davey's eyes go wide, but he doesn't let go! Antoni manages to get back on his feet yet again, and with such incredible force, he falls back on Davey--this time breaking the hold completely! Dunham rolls out of the ring to catch his breath as Malietoa regroups inside. Dunham, breathing heavily, locks eyes with Malietoa. Antoni wants Davey to get back in the ring, even taking a few steps back to give him plenty of room. Such respect from these two men here tonight! Davey takes one more deep breath and slides back in. Malietoa and Dunham go back to pacing around the ring, but the strain of this match is getting to them. The end could be coming soon, folks! Davey kicks Antoni in the gut, he's going for the ReKon Wave Ri--NO! Antoni gets out of it, hoising Dunham on his shoulders! He's spinning Dunham around before dropping him into the canvas! SAMOAN DRIVER BY MALIETOA! Antoni goes for the cover!

DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall...ANTONI MALIETOA!
The ref raises Antoni's hand in victory as we cut back to commentary.
Aiello: What an amazing opening contest, Steve! Both guys giving it their all here, but Antoni just picks up the win!
Bennett: An absolute slugfest that saw Davey really step his game up, but you gotta give it to Malietoa for making a statement tonight!
Aiello: Speaking of which, several of Brawl's up and coming talent have been looking to make a statement...including Scott Coltrane and Zack Tyler, and those two will clash in just a moment!
Camera cuts to ...
The cameras fire up backstage as King Flip is walking through one of the hallways. Ring gear ready and a framed photo of some sort in one hand, he appears to be looking for someone. Open doors, side conversations, he's looking everywhere when his eyes go wide.
Flip: Jackie boy! Been looking all over for you, buddy. I've got that photo I mentioned, got it framed... mind giving me the John Hancock?
The camera is to the backs of the superstars, Jack in a very nice black suit, but you can see the photograph. It seems to be a still from the last episode of BRAWL when Jack Severn was picking up Callie Clark. Both are looking up in the shot. Jack scoffs at the sharpie King Flip pulls out of his vest pocket. He snags it.
Severn: Sure. Glad you know your place.
He signs the photo, tosses the sharpie, and shoves the photo into the chest of King Flip. They have a momentary stare-off before Jack walks off. Flip looks back to Jack as if he's going to attack with the photo... then smiles and continues on his way down the hallway.
Flip: My place? He's going on the wall of fuck-offs. Glad Bosa's kickin' HIS ass tonight. Glad. I'll slap his mothe-
Wait a minute! Out of an open door stumbles the nimble Jamie Love who slams right into King Flip. The photo goes flying? No, Flip barely moves... but Jamie looks Flip straight in the eye with every ounce of aggression he had.
Love: Watch where you're fucking going, asshole.
Flip: Yes. I'll make sure I don't give people the opportunity to try to shoulder check me next time. Or I suppose it's stomach check with... nevermind. Got it.
King Flip shakes his head and chuckles as he continues on. He gets several feet away when BAH GAWD! A can of Monster comes flying down the hallway, crashing against the wall after having missed its target by only a few inches. Flip doesn't stop, he just laughs and yells back.
Flip: You missed!
The camera turns back to show Lorenzo holding Jamie Love back. It returns to King Flip who has run into yet another familiar face. This one getting a very honorable applause from the audience in Japan. Paramount General Manager Chris Brock.
Brock: Jesus, they'll let anyone backstage these days. Won't they?
King Flip looks down at the photo in his hand, back to the energy drink all over the wall, and now to Chris. He raises a finger and chuckles before opening his palm to shake hands with the Paramount Showrunner. A murmur stirs in the audience.
Flip: Ever the professional, Mister Brock. I'm on the card... what the hell are you doing here?
Brock: I'm always at every show I can be. I have to keep my eye out for what's going on. If not for my roster, then for my hit podcast... Total Access.
No reaction. Chris Brock seems disappointed, but King Flip is there to give him a pat on the shoulder.
Flip: Y'know, I wanna stand here and be delusional about your podcast with you, but I've got a lot on my plate right now. Top talent? I know that's not me, but hey, you ever find yourself in need of, say, a personal bodyguard or something...
Flip lowers his hand from the well-dressed shoulder of Brock to reveal a business card in his hand. Chris takes it.
Brock: Bodyguards I don't really need. I think I've proven that I can handle myself, but I'm always willing to talk if you ever find yourself wanting to venture over to the Orange brand again. I enjoyed your match on our premiere.
Flip: We'll see if they let me backstage again, hey? I'll see you around.
King Flip walks for a few more seconds down the hall before getting to a door with his name on it. It has the BRAWL logo above his name and you see him take a second to look at that before walking in and slamming the door. The BRAWL logo falls off the door.
We move to a commercial break.
A CLASH OF STYLES AND PERSONALITIES!
[SINGLES MATCH]
Scott Coltrane
VS Zack Tyler
VS Zack Tyler
We return to ringside where Scott Coltrane and Zack Tyler face off right here on Brawl.
Aiello: After a wild opening contest we are now ready to see two men looking to take that next step on the red brand. Scott Coltrane, who is bouncing back from a loss in London, and Zack Tyler looking to prove himself!
Stroup: The following match is for one fall. Joining us first, from The Alley from out back, weighing in at one hundred and seventy five pounds ... ZACK TYLER!
Fog machines are covering the platform. He stares into the camera with a deep soul stare before the camera fades.
As he approaches the ring, the skateboard rolls under the ring as he rolls under the bottom rope onto his stomach. The ringside camera catches an up-close image of Zack as he smiles and blood protrudes from his mouth down his chin. Slithering into the corner, he grabs the ropes and pulls himself up to his feet, removing his coat.
Stroup: And his opponent, from Hitsville, Michigan, weighing in at two hundred and thirty three pounds ... SCOTT COLTRANE!
The television screen slips into a monochromatic overlay while blasting the audio feed with "Sunday School" by Benny the Butcher. From the back, Scott Coltrane steps out onto the stage, commanding the camera's attention on him. H
e tucks his hands behind his back and stands firmly there in the full scope of the arena. Marching down to the ring, dejecting anything the crowd brings to him, Coltrane carries himself into the ring with passive but overall hostile energy. As he stands in the center of the ring, Coltrane brings the spotlight onto himself. He takes off his shades and focuses on the hard cam until his music fades.
DING DING DING
The ringing of the bell initiates the start of the match and neither man hesitates. Lefts and rights are freely being throw with neither man backing down. Scott Coltrane uses his weight to push Zack backwards into the ropes and whips him across the ring. Coltrane hits Tyler with a lariat clothesline. The bigger man gloats in his arrogance as he drops an elbow onto his opponents chest. With a smug grin he stays on top of him propped up by his elbow on Tyler's chest. The referee drops to make the cover.
1…
KICKOUT!
Zack Tyler kicks out from the weak pin attempt shoving Coltrane off of him. Tyler begins reigning elbows into Scott’s forehead and temple rocking him. Tyler gets to his feet and runs the ropes before hitting Scott with a dropkick to the chin.
Zack Tyler again runs the ropes and hits a knee to the chin of Scott Coltrane again dropping him to his back. Tyler jumps out to the ring apron and stands holding the top rope. He waits until Coltrane begins getting to his feet as he leaps to the top rope and springboards towards Coltrane.
The Black Diamond catches Tyler midair and slams him with a powerslam shaking the entire ring. The audience gasp and the impact even makes the referee jump backwards momentarily. Zack Tyler gasp for a breath of air.
Aiello: Coltrane getting the advantage early on here, and Zack is trying to catch up!
Bennett: It's just a matter of time Joe, it can all turn around in an instant and I'm sure Tyler is ready to capitalize when that moment comes!
Scott Coltrane grabs Tyler and pulls him up to his feet and leads him towards the turnbuckles. He begins slamming Zack’s head intot he turnbuckles.
1… 2… 3… 4… 5…
Coltrane then leads Zack towards another turnbuckle and begins slamming his head.
1… 2… 3… 4… 5…
Again Coltrane leads Zack towards another turnbuckle for a trifecta of turnbuckle slamming.
1… 2… 3… 4… 5…
Coltrane begins to lead Tyler to the final turnbuckle and goes to slam his head yet again. This time Zack Tyler is able to lift his foot onto the middle turnbuckle. This stops Coltrane from slamming his head once again. Coltrane responds with a fist to the midsection and then goes to slam Tyler’s head. Zack Tyler is once again able to get his foot up blocking the move.
Tyler brings his leg backwards into Coltrane family jewels causing him to release Zack. Tyler leaps onto the top turnbuckle and comes off with a hurricanrana. Coltrane catches him and holds him up preparing for a power bomb.
Tyler rakes the eyes of Coltrane who drops him as Zack begins unloading kicks to the back of his knee.
1… 2… 3… 4… fours drops Coltrane as Tyler springboards off the ropes with an Enzuigiri to the bigger man. Tyler again climbs the ropes and drops a leg drop across the throat of Scott. He goes for the cover and pin attempt.
1…
Kickout!
Coltrane shoves the smaller man off of him. Tyler is quick to run towards the ropes as Coltrane begins to stand.
Modified Coffin Drop!
Tyler throws himself backwards spring boarding off the ropes. Knocking Scott Coltrane to the canvas once again.
Aiello: That took a lot out of both men, but it looks like Zack is back up!
Bennett: This is it Joe, here's that turning point!
Zack Tyler begins throwing boots into Coltrane as he looks to continue the beating onto his larger opponent. Scott Coltrane pushes himself onto his hands and knees but Tyler kicks him in the ribs with a thunderous whack. For the second time in the match the referee reacts to a move by one of the men in the ring.
Zack Tyler climbs the ropes once again.
Fall From Grace!!!
Coltrane rolls out of the way as Tyler crashes violently to the canvas.
AMERICAN HISTORY X!
Coltrane covers Tyler for the pin.

DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall SCOTT COLTRANE!
Coltrane gets to his feet as his music begins playing. He celebrates his victory as the fans begin chanting.
WE HATE YOU BOTH!!
CLAP CLAP
WE HATE YOU BOTH!!
CLAP CLAP
Coltrane looks on with disgust as he exits the ring mocking the audience as he can be heard yelling jeers back towards them.
Aiello: Scott Coltrane was somehow able to pull this one out against his smaller foe. Zack Tyler looked as though he had this one at the end but Coltrane reversed that by rolling away from Tyler.
Bennett: This could have went either way. It was a strong showing by both men.
Aiello: Absolutely, and now we get ready for the first of our X-Division matches as King Flip looks to settle a score against Callie Clark...and that is up NEXT!
Camera cuts to ...
The camera view starts at a tv screen playing the show's action backstage. It slowly zooms out to include a casually dressed Mio Yoshino, with a grey tank top, ripped jeans, converse, a flannel around her waist, and her favorite snapback on backwards. Her arms are crossed, and she slowly nods after seeing the recent match. Shortly after, she starts clapping for some reason before noticing a camera on her. She turns with a raised brow and somehow, an even more casual demeanor.
Yoshino: Oh...hey. You wanted to see me? I was just watching my new roster mates duke it out with flawed motives.
She pauses and looks around with a smile as a sense of familiarity washes over her, gathering her words with a slight accent to her English.
Yoshino: Tokyo. The city where all of my dreams thrived. I remember wrestling here in the Ryōgoku Sumo Hall plenty of times for belts. But......that was the old me. Tokyo was where my early career soared, and Tokyo will be where my new career soars too. You see, many people know me as the "Princess of Joshi" or the daughter of the legendary Kaoru Inaba.
She now scowls as she recounts the struggles of being in her mother's shadow.
Yoshino: Nobody except my closest friends took the time to call me by my true name. Or....the name I used to use. Now....I am someone else. I am. Mio. Yoshino. The Black Rose. The All-Rounder of Joshi. EWC will be the means of me creating my new legacy. It will be my METHOD! My method of kicking out the old...and bringing in the new. I will happily apply that to anyone who gets in my way. What many people fail to realize is this. In a sport like this, a need for innovation constantly appears. It seems to only be satiated for short, short periods of time. With me? That will no longer be the case. I will be that innovator. Not only for myself, but for EWC. This place needs a breath of fresh air. It needs the heralding.....of a new generation. I will lead that new generation. That generation? No. THIS. THIS is the new generation.
Mio gently shoves the camera away and looks for a better spot to keep watching the show.
We move to a commercial break.
We return to ringside where Jessica Stroup is center-ring, ready to announce the next bout. The X-Tron fires up as a slow, melodic piano piece plays over the public announce system. A video package begins to play, starting with a shot of Callie Clark in an interview backstage. She's answering the interviewer's question when Chanel bumps into her from behind. The scene begins to slow-mo, as does the music, for a moment as Callie looks from Chanel to her bodyguard, Tori, with a smirk. The scene rapid fires through the backstage attack on Chanel. A crescendo of drums and brass instruments accompany the quickened piano as the brutal attack continues effortlessly into the attack on King Flip. Big booming gongs echo for every vicious, calculated move of the assault. DING DING DING... a few quick highlights from the King Flip v Zack Tyler match follow. The continued abuse that gave King Flip the victory by disqualification came with thundering timpani and shrill violin. Violent aftermath is showcased move after move in a montage that ends with Callie Clark on top.
Clark: I'm going to beat some respect into him.
The voice-over clip brings the package into the next part of the story: Stranglemania. A swift montage of Callie Clark and King Flip's petty back-and-forth during the 'Capture the Flag' Freeview match is shown. Which transitions just as quickly into last week's episode of BRAWL. A clip of Jack Severn's talk show angle plays, starting at the point where both Callie and Flip attack the HEARTLESS one. It ends with the chair shot from Flip to Callie from behind. Shades of the previous episode's attack that started the other way around. It then shows Extreme Wrestling's title match graphic shows on the screen for an instant, but jumps to mid-match where Callie Clark and Tori slowly saunter to the ring. A trumpet begins to methodically bumble-bee thirty-second notes as Chanel chases the two around with a flaming baseball bat. Then it cuts to the last moments of the match itself with Callie Clark sliding into the ring, FX Broadcast Championship in hand.
Clark: The future is now, old man. And that future is Callie Clark.
She speaks over the moment she cracks King Flip over the head with the title belt. Quick cut. 1, 2, 3. King Flip loses... but it fast-forwards through the Jack Severn attack on Callie Clark outside the ring. It goes slow-mo for the King Flip planca, then goes back to normal for the outpouring of Extreme Wrestling security personnel.
Flip: You made it personal, Callie Clark. And for that I thank you.
The package ends with a zoomed in still of both performers pulling at those holding them back with fury in their eyes.
WHERE'S THE BEEF? RIGHT HERE!
[SINGLES MATCH, X-DIVISION RULES]
Callie Clark
VS King Flip
VS King Flip
With the video package finished, we return to ringside as Aiello and Bennett are standing by!
Aiello: Well folks, you've seen the video package...this one is going to be a war, and we are about to bear witness to it!
Bennett: After everything that's been happening recently, these two are about to tear into each other!
Stroup: The following match is a one-on-one X-Division match scheduled for one fall...and the falls count anywhere in the building!
An ominous boom hits the PA as the arena goes a dark hue of steel blue. A lovely violin solo begins to play as the tron depicts the image of a massive pile of money under several spotlights. After fifteen seconds, the solo peaks into a frightful tone dragged on as the money bursts into flame. 'Machinegun' begins to play as the man in the hooded vest, head low, emerges from the curtain with manager Chanel in tow. He gets to the edge of the rampway when he lifts his hood to reveal that arrogant half smile.
Stroup: Making his way to the ring, accompanied by Chanel, from the land of money and fame... KING FLIP!
The lyrics chime in as he walks slowly down the ramp with his eyes locked in on the ring. He slides into the ring and leans against the turnbuckle with arms agape as his theme plays, yelling something inaudible to the referee and ring announcer. He turns to the stage ready for the action to start. A red carpet is rolled out going from the stage to the bottom of the ramp, and 'Bad Reputation' hits. Callie comes out with Tori walking out behind her, and strikes a pose showing off her wrestling gear as pyro goes off behind her.
Stroup: And his opponent, accompanied by her bodyguard Tori, from New York, New York... CALLIE CLARK!
Callie's paparazzi takes pictures of her as she walks down the ramp, taunting the fans as she goes. As she reaches ringside, Tori goes ahead of Callie, holding open the ropes so Callie can step through, and walk to the middle of the ring, where she strikes a pose again while winking at the camera. She then goes to her corner as the music cuts.
Aiello: This war just got a little more interesting folks, as we've just learned it's falls count anywhere!
DING DING DING
Callie leaps into a spinning back fist, then a second, then a third before her opponent shows any sign of slowing. The two proceed to exchange back-and-forth arm drags, snapmares, then miss one another by inches with simultaneous dropkicks. Flip finds himself on one knee, fists up, with Callie on her feet in a similar defensive stance. An 'Ooooh' waves through the audience in attendance. They exchange a few words before barreling into a lock-up. Flip powers Callie into three consecutive knees to the stomach as the two grapple into a corner. Tori is close enough to grab the boot of the King, but she slams her hands down on the canvas with words of encouragement for her employer. Flip cracks Callie with a headbutt before turning and stomping as hard as he can on Tori's now resting fingers on the canvas. She screams out while pulling back and grabbing her boot-blasted hand. Flip just as quickly starts pulling Callie up by her long blond hair. Tori almost slides into the ring to retaliate but finds herself hesitating again.
Aiello: It seems Tori is trying her best to not be heavily involved in this bout, even with X-Division rules in play!
Bennett: She knows what this match means to Callie, and she doesn't want to risk messing up her moment!
The CHK lifts the much smaller opponent to the top rope, resting Callie's rump on the top turnbuckle. Flip follows up with a few pops to the face to make sure she's still reeling before climbing to the top with her. The fans go deathly silent as the spot is executed. King Flip gets Callie upright and grappled for a superplex. He lifts... but only gets a few inches of lift before Callie's feet flail about madly. She plants her feet down and takes a few right hands to the rib area before being lifted right back up. Again, the blond bombshell flails out of the attempted maneuver. Then reverses it! Callie Clark superplexes King Flip onto the thinly-padded concrete. A loud 'AAAAAAH' flows through the arena, followed by applause as both Callie and Flip are rolling around in immense pain.
Aiello: Both competitors are in a heap of pain here!
Bennett: Like you said Joe, these two were ready to go to war here and war always changes you!
Tori is quick to check on Callie, making sure she has her space from King Flip so she can catch her breath in peace. She looks back and forth from one to the other as she helps Callie up. The two look up just as Chanel leaped into a planca onto both women after running up the steel steps and along the ring apron. Another 'OOOH' follows as all three are splayed across the padding. Tori and Chanel are the first to exchange right hands while still lying on the ground next to each other. The X-Tron fires up momentarily to show Jack Severn in his clean black suit backstage. He's sitting on a couch, half-watching the match on a monitor with a tub or popcorn between himself and his own bodyguard, Cain Brodie. Jack stuffs half a handful of popcorn into his mouth before speaking to Cain.
Severn: This is probably the worst match I've ever had the displeasure of watching.
Aiello: Oh, come on! There's no reason for Jack to be talking trash here on such a brutal match as this!
Bennett: Yeah, but he's also not dumb enough to get involved here! Not when he's got a title opportunity later!
King Flip is using the announce table to get to his feet. He sees Callie doing the same thing on the guardrail nearby and starts walking to the opposite side of the ring. He gets all the way to the entryway ramp before Callie gets an eye on him. She walks past the two brawling on the ground and gives a swift kick to the ribs of Chanel before continuing on. Flip shakes his head as he watches her do it, stumbling up the ramp to the curtain that leads backstage. Callie walks around the ring and starts yelling as she points at her opponent. Flip smiles and laughs as he walks backward toward the X-Tron, ushering Callie Clark to follow him. He finds a moment of respite against the X-Tron as Callie Clark makes her way up the ramp. He quickly spins around, grabbing onto the X-Tron as he ascends. The crowd murmurs as Callie stops in her tracks. King Flip is climbing to the top of the X-Tron. The small blond looks around for a moment, perhaps thinking about turning back to double team the ebony valet, before flailing her arms out signaling she's done with all of this. She begins to go up after him.
Aiello: Oh boy, this could be very bad very quick.
Bennett: This battle just kicked up a notch, Joe!
Flip is waiting on top on one knee, wailing on Callie Clark with right hand after right hand. The audience's murmur picks up as Clark nearly loses her grip. She regains her footing, grabs the back of Flip's head with both hands, and slams it as hard as she can onto the X-Tron. Again, she nearly falls, grabbing the railing just in time as King Flip slowly crumbles backward. Callie gets all the way up as Flip crawls away. It's a very tense moment as the two begin firing off right hands. Flip gets to one knee, then both feet throughout the exchange even though he doesn't appear to be much better off than Callie at all. They both wobble for a moment as the X-Tron very briefly sways. Another, louder murmur begins throughout the arena. Callie punches Flip. Flip retaliates. Both are reeling. Meanwhile, Tori and Chanel are on their feet fighting on the stage some twenty or so feet below the two competitors in the match. They push off one another and both look up as a loud 'AAAAAAH' thunders through the arena...and it's King Flip sending Callie off with the K.I.N.G. right through a table! The crowd is beside themselves as Flip manages to drape an arm over Clark, and the ref hesitantly makes the count... 1! 2! 3!
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall...KING FLIIIIIIIP!
Just as quickly as the ref is able to raise Flip's hand hand, a quick cut to the X-Tron shows Jack Severn asleep sitting up on the couch, small pieces of popcorn on his chest. His bodyguard slowly picks off a piece of the popcorn from Severn's suit coat and puts it in his mouth, his eyes wide on the monitor. We go back to the action ringside as both Chanel and Tori are quickly pulling their employers from each other before leaping right back into fighting one another! Medical personnel and security rush the area, separating Chanel and Tori from one another while the medical crew simultaneously works to see if both King Flip and Callie Clark are okay. Neither seem responsive at all.
Aiello: What an absolute war these two just went through! They managed to pull out all the stops, but King Flip just manages to score the win here tonight!
Bennett: After everything that went down, it's clear that Callie Clark was ready to take King Flip head-on. Absolutely stellar effort on her part, and kudos to King Flip!
Aiello: Folks, up next we have another X-Division match, with some big implications as Gabrielle Visconty takes on the Undisputed Champion himself, Ace King, in non-title action! Don't go away!
Camera cuts to ...
In a darkened corner of the Sumo Hall’s backstage area, Undisputed Champion Ace King is locked in with his final pre-match preparations, headphones comfortably over his ears as his expression is as intense as ever. He turns to go into a stretch, but his expression becomes even less enthusiastic when he sees BRAWL interviewer Bob Murray standing just a few feet away, microphone in hand.
Murray: This will only be a minute, I swear.
The Undisputed Champion slowly straightens up and takes a breath before removing his headphones and turning his attention to Bob.
Murray: Ace, with what you have coming up at Uprising, I have to ask: Are you planning to bring 100% to the table tonight against Gabrielle Visconty, particularly coming off your recent lo-
Ace puts a hand over the microphone, shaking his head dismissively at the question. He then steps away briefly to retrieve his Undisputed Championship, holding it close to Bob’s face.
King: Do you know what this is, Bob?
Murray: Erm… The Undisputed Championship?
Murray is perplexed as his gaze goes back and forth from the championship to Ace, who’s still not amused.
King: Of course, that’s what you see it as. In reality? The Undisputed Championship is so much more than just a belt to carry around. With it comes an unwritten oath to ALWAYS push the boundaries of what’s possible in EWC, and to NEVER settle for half-assing a match of any kind. I would have hoped I’ve proven that point over the years, but clearly, it didn’t resonate with you.
Ace looks away for a moment as he tries to conceal his anger, instead channeling his emotions in a different method as his bottom lip quivers a little.
King: Gabi Vee under X-Division Rules? As tough as they come, especially to what you so kindly referenced with my last outing… But in becoming the Undisputed Champion, I took an unspoken pledge to always do right by this championship, and I’m going to. Bet On It.
Ace’s expression is blank as he puts his headphones back on and vacate the premises, leaving Bob there alone as we cut to commercial break.
A REMATCH FROM LEGENDS OF THE CAGE...WITH A TWIST!
[SINGLES MATCH, X-DIVISION RULES, NON-TITLE]
Gabrielle Visconty
VS Ace King
VS Ace King
We return to ringside where Aiello and Bennett are standing by!
Aiello: Up next we have non-title action with major implications as Gabi Vee looks for a big opportunity against the Undisputed Champion, Ace King!
Bennett: With the Gambler getting set to defend his title in that Two Falls Match at Uprising, you gotta wonder if Ace's mind is fully in this...'cause if not, Gabi will take advantage!
Stroup: The following match is scheduled for one fall, contested under X-Division Rules! Joining us first, from Honolulu, Hawaii, weighing in at 126 pounds ... GABRIELLE VISCONTY!
The lights in the arena dim and slowly pulse to the opening chords of "I Am The Fire" by Halestorm. Gabi Vee walks out to the entrance ramp and smiles out at the crowd as she stops at the top of the ramp. She grins as she looks over the crowd before heading down the ramp and towards the ring. Gabi interacts with the fans before she hops up on the side of the ring, smirking out to the crowd before she springboards herself gracefully into the ring. She paces the ring and works the crowd a bit before she heads to her corner.
Stroup: And her opponent, from Las Vegas, Nevada, weighing in at 235 pounds, he is the Gambler and your EWC Undisputed Champion ... ACE KIIIIING!
"Ace of Spades" rips through (insert arena here), and the crowd cheers as pyro goes off in time with the opening drum beats. Ace King then calmly steps out onto the stage, his eyes narrowed and focused on the ring. Ace rolls his head around the back of his neck for a few seconds before focusing back in on the ring, then makes his way down the ramp, interacting with a few fans along the way. He stops a few steps short of the ring, then dives in under the bottom rope as red pyro explodes from each turnbuckle. Ace pauses on his knees in the middle of the ring for a moment before getting to his feet, his attention locked in on (the entrance ramp/his opponent).
DING DING DING
As a sign of respect for each other, King and Gabi shake hands at the opening bell...and as a sign of respect for King's status as the Undisputed Champion, there is an attempt at the start to keep this X-Division match decidedly non-violent with an exchange of holds. Gabi in particular showing off how far she's come since their previous encounter, catching King off guard with a drop toe hold that sends the Gambler face-first into the canvas. Gabi gets to her feet, allowing the champion a moment to do the same before they lock up once more...and this time, King gains control with a headlock takedown! King brings Gabi back to her feet, sending her into the corner before going for a corner tackle...but Gabi dodges out of the way, as King crashes against the turnbuckle with a thud! Gabi takes advantage with a backstabber, before going for a quick cover!
1!
NO! King kicks out!
Aiello: Gabi showing a lot of heart in the early going here, but the champ just won't stay down!
Bennett: It's gonna take a lot more than that to take Ace King down, Joe!
King back up to his feet, but Gabi has left the ring at this point, searching underneath the apron for a little something extra as the violence of this match's stipulation starts to kick in! King is not having any of it however, as he slides out and goes after the former International Champion...who catches him with another drop toe hold, this time sending King into the steel steps! It's a risk that didn't pay off for the Gambler as Gabi manages to find a kendo stick. She gives the champ a smirk before taking a swing, cracking the stick against King's back not once, not twice, but three times! The marks are quickly becoming noticeable on the back of King as Gabi goes for one more swing...but King catches the kendo stick in his hand with an angry look on his face! King pulls the stick out of Gabi's hands, but chooses instead to break the stick over his knee! Gabi looks to take advantage of the distraction as she goes for a right hand, but Ace catches that as well...pulling Gabi in for a DDT that drives Gabi's head into the floor!
Aiello: Ace showing some signs of aggression here as he takes control!
Bennett: I would sure as hell hope so, Joe! He's pissed about those kendo stick shots to the back, and he's gonna look to prove a point against Gabi here!
King brings Gabi back to her feet before bringing her into the ring, taking part of the steel steps with him. He grabs Gabi, lifting her up for a vertical suplex as the crowd starts to count along knowing what's in store for Gabi! ONE! King rolls through, landing another vertical suplex! TWO! Ace rolls through again, landing a third suplex! THREE! Ace is going for Four of a Kind here as he lifts Gabi once more...but Gabi manages to counter out of it with a modified neckbreaker on the Gambler! King looks a bit out of it as Gabi gets to her feet, almost stunned by the opportunity at hand. She quickly gets to the top rope, but Ace is getting back to his feet as Gabi leaps off...landing a Dragonrana straight into a pinning combination! ANGELRANA! COULD THIS BE IT?
1!
2!
3! KING KICKS OUT, BUT IT'S A HALF SECOND TOO LATE!
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall...GABRIELLE VISCONTY!
Ace is in shock, as is the crowd here in Tokyo as the ref raises Gabi's arm in victory!
Aiello: Whoa! What a contest, and what a shocker of an ending! Gabi Vee just picked up a pinfall over the Undisputed Championship, after a very close encounter between the two!
Bennett: Gabi just stepped up big time against a very game Ace King, Joe! The Gambler took a risk and it didn't pay off, but to his credit he showed exactly why he IS the top of the food chain here!
Aiello: Folks, we just witnessed a big upset here, and when we come back we're going to see our semi-main event as the FX Broadcast Championship is on the line! Will Jack Severn pull off a similar upset, or will Bosa continue to show his dominance as champion? Don't go away!
Camera cuts to ...
We see Jack Severn getting ready for his match in his locker room when the lights dim, plunging him into almost complete darkness. We can just about see his figure snapping from side to side, fists up, ready for anything as he growls under his breath, when a gruff, rumbling voice speaks out for the shadows.
Mysterious Voice: Mr Severn…
In the dingy light we can see two skulls, one on either side of the FX Championship contender, the gleaming silver of the masks growing as the lights of the room come back up, the two Reavers looming quietly over Severn. He looks them up and down with a dismissive grunt, cracking his knuckles and getting ready to throw down with his sudden uninvited guests.
Severn: What the hell is all this? You think you can come in here and intimidate me, huh, is that it? Try me.
To answer, Captain Morgan Darkwater steps into view, lumbering up to Jack who immediately squares up to him. The two are almost nose to nose. Finally, Morgan breaks the tense silence by extending his hand.
Darkwater: Relax, Mr Severn, we mean ye no harm… I’ve heard about your vision for the EWC… and I believe our goals are aligned. So if ye be needing anything tonight, anything at all, just give the word and the Reavers will be there.
A long, tense silence follows this offer, Jack's eyes narrowing as he considers his answer before he smiles and shakes Darkwater’s hand.
Severn: Thanks, I appreciate it.
Morgan barely has time to nod when Jack pulls on the handshake and growls at Darkwater.
Severn: But if you, or any of your lackeys, screw with my match, you’re a fucking dead man.
Jack walks off, leaving Morgan to shake off his hand and think about what Jack said, a dark, curious smirk spreading slowly over his cracked lips.
Darkwater: Oh yes, Mr Severn, I think you'll fit in just fine...
We move to a commercial break.
A MATTER OF THE HEART(LESS) AND THE GOLD!
[SINGLES MATCH]
FOR THE FX BROADCAST CHAMPIONSHIP
"Heartless" Jack Severn
VS Bosa
VS Bosa
We return to ringside where Aiello and Bennett are getting ready to call the FX Broadcast Title match between the challenger, Jack Severn, and the reigning-champion, Bosa. They're being joined by Davey Dunham at the commentary table. He's wearing a clever 'Headless Jack Severn' t-shirt with a visual of the decapitated head of his nemesis being carried around like a lunch box.
Aiello: Welcome, Davey. I see you'll be joining us for tonight's title match.
Dunham: Right you are, Joe. Had to see this one up close and personal. Rest assured, I have no intention of getting involved. I'm just here to make sure our challenger doesn't try something funny to take what doesn't belong to him, and I suspect it never will. I am, of course, referring to the FX Broadcast Title. Needless to say, I hope I'm about to witness another successful defense by Bosa here tonight.
Bennett: With a record like yours, this might be the closest you ever get to seeing the FX Championship--so enjoy it.
Dunham: Ouch, Steve. Thanks for pointing that out.
Bennett: Any time.
Aiello: Anyway, folks. We hope you're ready for tonight's pre-Main Event as Bosa's set to defend the FX Broadcast Championship against Jack Severn. Jessica Stroup is standing by for introductions.
Stroup: The following match is scheduled for one fall and it is for the FX Broadcast Championship! Joining us first, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, weighing in at 220-pounds ... He is the challenger ... "HEARTLESS" JACK SEVERN!
"15 Minutes" by Shattered Skies hits as Jack walks down to the ring once the guitar riff starts, smiling with the utmost confidence in his face. He claps for himself, mocking the crowd, as he enters through the ropes. Once in the center of the ring, he waves the Monday Night Brawl flag and relishes in the crowd's hatred, mocking them and their heroes. before taking his jacket off.
Stroup: And his opponent, from San Francisco, California, weighing in at 265-pounds ... He is the current-reigning FX Broadcast Champion ... The Beastmode Incarnate ... BOSA!
"Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains begins to play! The crowd completely erupts as Bosa emerges from the backstage area! Stopping on the stage area, he glares at the ring a moment, adjusting his gloves and pads. He looks determined, his eyes remaining on the ring as the camera pans around him.
As his theme song continues on, Bosa walks down the ramp and towards the ring, reaching out to slap the hands of the fans along the way. Once at ringside, Bosa then raises both fists slowly as a fireworks display erupts behind him, sending the fans into a frenzy!
With the fans still cheering and chanting his name, Bosa lowers his fists and ascends the metal stairs. Stepping through the ropes, he circles the ring once as he nods his head in respect to the fans! The fans continue to cheer him on as Bosa comes to a stop in the middle of the ring.
DING DING DING
With Cain Brodie at ringside, Jack Severn looks amped up and ready for Championship gold. Bosa charges out of the gate with a Running Kick. It connects! Jack rolls away and quickly returns to his feet. Bosa and Jack trade hands back and forth. The Champion gets the advantage, causing Jack Severn to stagger. Bosa grabs his arm and whips him into the corner. He charges in with a Clothesline and follows up with a Spinning Spinebuster, planting Severn on the mat. A BO-SA chant starts up. Davey Dunham encourages the fans to chant louder from his place at the commentary table. In the ring, Bosa signals for the Chin Check early on. Could Bosa be looking to end the match already? Jack gets up, and in an impressive display of spacial awareness he ducks beneath Bosa's arm and charges off the ropes. Lariat from Jack Severn! Jack responds to the Chin Check with a Lariat of his own! The fans don't seem to think much of that, though. Boo, they say! Jack doesn't care that they're booing, of course, as he puts the boots to Bosa, stomping away at his head and chest. Bosa's able to shield his head from most of the attacks, but Jack continues to whittle away at him until the referee orders him to back off.
Dunham: Typical Jack Severn right there. The word 'Honor' holds no weight in his vocabulary. Knock it off, Jack. Fight like a man!
Aiello: You really do have to wonder if Jack's going to frustrate the champ enough to get an advantage here!
Jack grabs Bosa's arm and looks to lock in a Cross Armbreaker. Defiantly, Bosa maneuvers into position to lift Jack up off the mat. He's now got Jack in position for a Death Valley Driver, and it connects! WOW! What a display of strength from the Champion! Jack is winded, and Bosa's still shaking off the kicks he received just a few moments ago. Bosa is the first to his feet again, but Jack's not far behind him. The two men go back to slugging it out with a series of hands. Jack with a poke to the eyes as Cain Brodie has the referee distracted. Jack rolls Bosa up in our first pin attempt of the match. Kick out at two! Bosa almost beats Jack in being the first one up, clearly furious at the challenger. Jack tells the referee to learn how to do his job, not seeing Bosa standing right behind him, seething. Jack turns around to be met with a kick to the midsection. Bosa sets him up for a Powerbomb. Up on the Champion's shoulders, Jack tries desperately to punch, claw and scratch his way off Bosa, but Bosa follows through with it! Powerbomb! The fans start to cheer once more!
Dunham: Did you guys see that?! I'm feeling a sense of euphoria now! Finish him off, Bosa!
Bosa's got Jack pinned down and he's delivering a series of Mounted Punches. Bosa gives Jack one extra punch before getting up. He's got his eyes on Jack's legs now--could he be going for the Sharpshooter?! He is! Bosa's got Jack by the legs, but Jack shoves him away with his boots. Bosa goes to give it another try, but Jack rolls back and springs to his feet. The momentum of the match picks up again as Jack and Bosa throw a flurry of strikes, faster and faster. Jack sneaks in a Spinning Backfist, disorientating the Champ! Jack grabs Bosa from behind... Sleeper Suplex! INCREDIBLE! One might have thought Bosa's size wouldn't allow for that, but he somehow managed to pull it off! Jack makes a hasty cover and Bosa manages to get a shoulder up at two. Things are escalating and the end of the match could be nigh! Bosa back to his feet as Jack goes for the Codebreaker...but Bosa blocks it! Kick to the gut! U.T.B.! BOSA CONNECTED WITH THAT CUTTER, AND HE'S GOT THE COVER!

DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall and STILL FX Broadcast Champion...BOOOOOOOOSAAAAAA!
The ref raises Bosa's arm in victory before the champ takes his leave from the ring as we cut back to commentary, where Davey is getting up out of his seat.
Dunham: If you gentlemen will excuse me, I've got somewhere else to be right now.
Aiello: Thanks for joining us Davey! Folks, what a close match this was as Severn took the champ to his limits...but Bosa has once again retained the FX Broadcast Championship tonight!
Bennett: Indeed, Bosa stepped up to the challenge of the Heartless one tonight and proved why he's a fighting champion!
Aiello: Folks, in just a moment we'll be gearing up for our main event and...wait a minute, it seems Davey is heading to ringside...
Davey Dunham is inside the ring now, likely to console Jack on his recent inability to win EWC gold. That is, by reminding him that he still has some unfinished business they need to address. Davey and Jack start trading insults at each other, but we can't quite make out what they're saying because the fans are amped up on anticipation for what could happen next. Davey's openly laughing at Jack and he doesn't like it one bit. Cain Brodie enters the ring and stands next to Jack, calmly inquiring if we've got a problem brewing. Davey nods his head and points at Jack, his face showing nothing but seriousness now. Severn plays the 'whatever, I'm done with this' card and pretends to be heading backstage, but Davey grabs him by the arm and spins him around... Punch to the head by Cain Brodie! Cain nails Davey in the back of the head, sending Davey sprawling into the corner of the ring. Cain continues the assault with a flurry of punches and kicks, aimed at every part of his body. Jack squeezes in a few kicks of his own as Davey slides down the turnbuckle into a seated position, his hands protecting his head as best they can. Owen Titleman and Alex Berenstein come charging out from backstage, sprinting toward the ring at full speed. They slide in and immediately pull Jack off Davey. Alex turns his attention to Cain as Jack and Owen start trading hard right hands. Alex is no match for Cain Brodie, which is made abundantly clear rather quickly. Cain's got Alex trapped in a corner all his own, and begins laying into him with a series of brute shots. Owen has the upper-hand on Jack until Jack low-blows him and chucks him out of the ring.
Aiello: All hell has broken loose here at ringside!
Bennett: I agree! Ain't it great?!
Aiello: And it looks like we have more company up by the entrance. Who's this coming out?
Bennett: I do believe that's Morgan Darkwater with two of his henchmen!
True enough, Darkwater has come out on stage with two Reavers. He points to the ring, releasing his hellhounds. They charge toward the ring, stopping to punch, kick, and otherwise beat up on Owen just a little bit before entering the ring. Brodie has Alex choking on his boot, which he's got pressed down on Alex's throat now. The Reavers join Jack in beating on Davey who is all but helpless as this point. The Reavers each have an arm... and Jack has that loaded kneepad ready to go! No, not this again! It looks like Davey's done for...
Aiello: WAIT A MINUTE, THAT'S ANTONI MALIETOA! THE GREAT WARRIOR IS COMING OUT!
Bennett: The more, the merrier!
Bennett: The more, the merrier!
Malietoa slides into the ring and nails the closest Reaver on the back of the head with a Forearm. The second Reaver takes a swing, but Malietoa throws him right out of the ring using his own momentum. The Great Warrior turns his attention to Jack. Jack takes a couple steps back... Cain intercepts just as Malietoa charges forward with a Spear! Cain just took one for the team! Jack is quick to get out of the ring now as he sees Alex getting back to his feet, Owen returning to the ring, and the Reavers dispersing through the crowd. That leaves Antoni, Owen and Alex in the ring. Cain Brodie gets a few hard hits in, but it's not long before Alex and Owen are finally able to subdue him. They're telling Antoni to it's time to see The Samoan Dynasty, and The Great Warrior agrees! Malietoa with The Samoan Dynasty on Cain Brodie! Jack is forced to watch as he backtracks up the ramp. Owen and Alex kick roll Cain out of the ring, who oddly enough is still capable of picking himself back up... though, understandably, it takes a little while. The scene closes on one last view of Antoni Malietoa, now pulling Davey up to his feet and giving him a pat on the back and checking to see if he's okay. Davey nods that he'll be fine, and all four men in the ring stare at Jack and Cain as they make their way to the back.
We move to a commercial break.
The camera cuts backstage as Xavier Reid is looking at pictures that hang in the hallway of the Ryogoku Hall, he stops at a picture of his father, a younger Chico Volando as he wrestles in the Finals of the IJWF International G1 in 1984 against Japan’s Akio. ‘The Memphis Mouthpiece’ Tommy Love walks up behind him, putting his jacket on and smiles at the picture
Love: Your father was amazing that night…
Xavier looks at Tommy and he realizes he didn’t even know if he won that match...he was so caught up in his own issues that he never even asked Chico back in the hotel
Love: Nobody thought he could win that night, they said ‘he should feel proud that he made the finals’ but they weren’t giving him a chance against Akio, he was IJWF’s Wrestling God at the time, their 5-Star Ace but your father wasn’t intimidated by him, sure Bobby, Jimmy, Eddie and myself told him he could win it...to his face...but we knew what he was facing. Akio kicked your father so damn hard I’m shocked you and El Pablo didn’t feel it down in his nut sack but your father took every kid, every forearm...every punch and kept coming back for more...he was seen by many as just a ‘pretty face’, a colorful high flyers but not a ‘tough guy’ and that night he proved everyone wrong. He earned the Japanese respect that night...he earned Akio’s respect…
Tommy points to a picture a few places down of Akio raising Chico’s arm as streamers fell down on him and the IJWF Cup sitting in front of him
Love: Still to this day your father can walk into any restaurant in this city and someone will remember him from that night, they will walk up to him and tell him about how they were a small kid in that crowd and watched that match...jerk hasn’t paid for a meal in years...I think that’s why these people took me in when…
Xavier turns and looks at Tommy with a smile
Reid: Scammed the last corners of Europe and had nowhere else to go?
Tommy stops for a second to think of a snappy comeback but can’t so he just nods and smiles
Love: Basically...I found a huge fan of your fathers and told him I’d trade official Chico Volando merchandise for rent but the joke was on him...I signed 90% of that shit…
Tommy laughs and shakes his head, remembering the ‘good times’ he once had here
Love: Wrestling version of The Rat Pack, we ruled this business back then, your father, The Southern Express, Eddie Ace and me standing ringside...or in the back depending on how much heat I had at the moment but the fact was we were the shit back then Xavier...much like The Love Club is now here in the EWC…
Tommy smiles as he looks away from the old pictures on the wall and at the International Champion standing before him
Love: You, Samantha, Killjoy, The Southern Express, The Young Lions, Jason with myself, Buddy and Bunny standing ringside...we are unstoppable
Xavier smirks
Reid: See people like Nightcall think too small, he’s worried about The Love Club taking over Brawl and he’s too dim witted to understand this is bigger than just Brawl...look around, Samantha on Rampage, Killjoy, Jason and the Express in Paramount and The Young Lions in Prime...we aren’t just satisfied with taking over one brand...we are taking over ALL OF THE EWC…
Tommy laughs
Love: Cut the kid some slack, he’s young and can only see what’s right in front of him. Nightcall only thinks of Brawl because he’s too junior to understand that The Love Club isn’t limited to just one brand or the next...we are a team without borders if you will…
Reid: He’s like a toy that only knows one phrase, he didn’t learn from London, he went on and on about Samantha’s schedule yet it didn’t slow her down, she beat him in London...now he’s concerned with my focus on the eve of Paramount and NOW is what...concerned about eternal Love Club issues...worried what, that the match between The Southern Express and The Xtreme Ravagers might rip us apart…
Xavier starts to laugh
Love: He’s hoping...like so many here I’m sure...
Reid: Let them hope and they will be disappointed like so many before them, we understand this is a business and when you are at the top of the pecking order you are bound to cross paths with each other...because each and every one of The Love Club is elite, we are all at the very top of the EWC...something Nightcall can only dream of…
Xavier smirks
Reid: He thinks he’s in the Main Event tonight because he’s not boring...that he’s impressed the big wigs of the EWC and Connors by his stellar wins over who...Windsor Middleton IV on Gambit and a win so early on the StrangleMania card that most people were still out buying their StrangleMania souvenir cups and t-shirts...OK...damn Samantha must have kicked something loose last week inside that head of his, he’s fodder here tonight, being placed in front of me...the real Main Event of Brawl...the International Champion...that’s why I’m in the Main Event and he’s there because he’s facing me...that’s it and after tonight he’s ass will be shipped back to Gambit so he can ‘entertain’ the people like the opening act he really is…
Tommy nods
Love: Come on kid, let’s go make a memory worthy of hanging up on this wall next to your father…
Tommy puts his arm around Xavier as he puts the International Championship over his shoulder.
WHEN THE NIGHT CALLS, WHO WILL ANSWER?

VS Xavier Reid
[SINGLES MATCH, NON-TITLE]
Nightcall
VS Xavier Reid
We return to ringside and the crowd chanting EWC! EWC! EWC!
Aiello: What a fired up crowd, and it is completely merited! We have our main event of the night between Nightcall and current International Champion Xavier Reid in a non-title match up!
Bennett: Xavier finally reclaimed his title from that dingbat Gabi Vee, and Brawl just feels a little better for it. I think Tommy Love is going to be looking to extract a little revenge on Mr. Nightcall for that pink mist blown into his eyes at last Brawl.
Aiello: NIghtcall is going to be looking to extract a little revenge against the Love Club for that loss to Sam at last Brawl, and nothing would be sweeter in that revenge than knocking off the current International Champ and cementing his name in the hunt for the title!
Stroup: The following match is non-title match. Joining us first, from Oceanside, California, weighing in at 205 pounds ... NIGHTCALL!
'Nightcall' – Kavinsky begins to play as the crowd cheers. Smoke billows on all sides of the ramp until it covers the titantron itself. The name NIGHTCALL shines through the fog in a brilliant pink neon. Decked out in a red jacket, sunglasses, and clutching a vape pen, Nightcall walks down the runway. By the time the cloud dissipates, Nightcall tosses his vape to a ringside official and goes over to nearby fans. He hands one his pair of sunglasses before rolling inside the ring.
Stroup: And his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by 'The Memphis Mouthpiece' Tommy Love, from New York, weighing in at 220 pounds ... He is the EWC International Champion… XAVIER REID!
The spotlights inside the arena start to flash around the crowd as 'Papercut' starts to play out
Xavier Reid walks out onto the stage in his new black trunks, kickpads and boots, his hands wrapped in black tape with the EWC International Championship around his waist and following him out is ‘The Memphis Mouthpiece’ Tommy Love. He walks to the front of the stage and crosses his arms into an X in front of his chest and smirks as Tommy follows from behind and acts as if he’s going to hit the camera with the ‘Love Stick’. Tommy points to the ring as Xavier unhooks the International Championship and hands it to Tommy who raises it into the air as Xavier walks towards the ring shadow boxing as he makes his way down the aisle. Xavier storms up the steps and climbs into the ring, Tommy follows suit and walks towards the referee, already complaining about something. Xavier storms across the ring to the opposite corner and jumps to the middle rope and looks over the crowd and once again crosses his arms into an X as Tommy holds up the International Championship in the officials face and reminds him who the champion is but the official ignores him and walks away as Tommy laughs. Xavier jumps down and squats down in the corner waiting for the bell.
Aiello: Both men are in the ring, it’s time to get this battle started!
DING DING DING
Xavier starts to circle as Nightcall slides to the side and does the Mashed Potato, much to the delight of the crowd. Xavier looks pissed and charges in and shoulder blocks Nightcall to the mat. Nightcall hops back up quickly and Xavier open hand slaps the shit right out of him! Nightcall steps back a few steps and rubs his face, a look of disbelief washes over him as Xavier grins at him. Xavier holds his chest as Nightcall rolls off and to the corner. He turns to the crowd, thrusts a hand in the air and yells
TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!!!
And the crowd replies with his words. Nightcall dashes in and baseball slides - but Xavier catches him coming in and hops up and lands on Nightcall with a double knee! Xavier mounts him and starts raining down elbows to Nightcall’s head. Nightcall covers up and finally bridges Xavier off of him, but not before absorbing 3 or 4 good shots from Xavier. Nightcall spits a little blood from his busted lip as he rolls up to his feet. Xavier is back up as well, and moves in a little more cautious this time. Nightcal fakes a charge and Xavier doesn’t flinch. Xavier fakes a charge and Nightcall laughs at him, and points right into his face. Nightcall lands a European uppercut that almost sends Xavier over the top ropes, and then screams as he hops back from Xavier. Nightcall grabs his foot as the entire crowd looks at Tommy Love slinking away with his ‘Love Stick’ clutched in his hands and an innocent look on his face.
Aiello: Tommy really trying to stick it to Nightcall tonight!
Bennett: I don't blame him after that pink mist from last time!
The Ref yells a warning at Tommy and the brief distraction gives Xavier the time needed to clear his head. He charges in at the hobbled Nightcall and nails him with a cross body block, sending both men to the mat. Xavier hops up and grabs Nightcall’s arms and Fuck You Stomps Nightcall’s face! Nightcall tries to lift Xavier back up once again, but Xavier manages to kick a leg loose and breaks the hold. Nightcall tries to grab Xavier but he rolls under the bottom rope and out of the ring.
Aiello: Nightcall really taking it to the champ, who takes a breather on the outside!
Nightcall stands up and motions to Xavier to get back into the ring, and then does the moonwalk back out to the center of the ring. Tommy Love moves quickly to Xavier’s side of the ring and starts arguing with the Ref about the mistreatment of the International Champion, as the Ref starts the count out. Nightcall finishes his moonwalk with a little spin into the splits and back up. The crowd eats it up. Tommy pats Xavier on the back and whispers something into his ear, and then Xavier rolls back into the ring. Nightcall hops around as he circles with Xavier. The two men lock up in the center of the ring and Xavier drives a knee into Nightcall’s midsection, doubling him over. Xavier then drives a forearm down across the back of Nightcall, dropping him to one knee. Nightcall tries to scramble towards the ropes but Xavier has him solidly in the center of the ring. Xavier screams at the Ref to see if Nightcall is giving up, and the Ref does just that… Only Nightcall shakes his head NO. Xavier wrenches the ankle and growls as he tries to break it. NIghtcall tries to roll under on Xavier, but he releases the hold and dashes for the ropes. Nightcall springs up but his ankle fails him, causing him to stumble a bit, and right into Xavier’s clothesline. Nightcall hits the mat hard as Xavier hits the brakes. Nightcall tries to crawl away but Xavier starts attacking the ankle with stomps. Xavier yanks Nightcall back to his feet and running bulldogs him back face first into the mat. Aiello: Uh oh, this looks like trouble!
Bennett: Tommy's about to save his investment tonight!
Right as Nightcall grabs Xavier, Tommy makes his move, yelling at Nightcall, and as he looks Tommy’s way - PINK MIST right into Tommy’s face right as he is in mid-throw of a white powder! Tommy screeches as he gets the Pink Mist, and his throw suffers, sending the powder mostly into the face of Xavier! Tommy flops on the mat as he screams in agony. DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via Sunset Boulevard for the pin - NIGHTCALL!
Tommy is still screaming in pain as he finally falls out of the ring to the arena floor, landing on the back of his head. Xavier is starting to stir as the Ref grabs Nightcall’s arm and raises it in victory! Nightcall spins and dances around a moment before suddenly stopping and pointing to the sky, yelling
TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!!!
as the crowd joins him.
Aiello: It was a great back and forth match, right until Tommy’s antics ultimately backfired and cost Xavier the match as he tossed the Japanese salt right into Xavier’s eyes! Another match with not one, but two uses of Nightcall’s Pink Mist!
Bennett: The EWC needs to ban that pink mist! It’s unsanitary to have someone spit in your face, as well as disgusting.
Aiello: Folks, the implications of tonight are tremendous! Nightcall has pulled off an upset in our main event, pinning the International Championship...and in the process, he's inserted himself into the conversation of contendership! As we head ever closer to Hardcore Revolution, it's becoming more and more clear who could potentially be the Best of Brawl! Until next time when we head to Denmark, I've been Joe Aiello alongside Steve Bennett wishing you a good night!
The final moments show Nightcall still celebrating before focusing on a now-livid Xavier Reid, before the show comes to a close.
