Found this whilst sifting through some old files. Thought it would be interesting to post. This isn't a recent event, it shouldn't be used as such. Just showing off some of my old work.
'Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, step right up, step right up. I am Patches and here I present to you the marvel that is Stitches The Clown, admire his marvel as he challenges a member of the audience here today to a professional wrestling match'.
Behind Patches - who stands front and center in the ring with a microphone in hand - sits Stitches. Stitches rests his back up against the lower turnbuckle in the far right corner of the ring, observing the crowd his cold, dark, blood-shot eyes. Stitches wears a red wig with white face paint. The white face paint covers Stitches entire face and neck so there is no visible skin colour and his ears are painted red. Stitches dones an extravagant, wrestling-friendly clown suit with a ruffled white collar.
Stitches face paint designs are perhaps some of the most extravagant features of the entire appearance. Around Stitches eyes are painted pure black, a few inches out from the eye lid and the eye lid itself is painted with red paint which flicks up from the top and the bottom of the eye. The nose is painted red and is in the shape of a typical red clown nose. The mouth is delicately designed, the lips are designed with downward streaks which make the lips look like a separate set of teeth, this design is painted in black. From the corners of the lips emerges a streak of red paint which runs upwards to make the lip/mouth design look like a smile, the smile look is meant to help calm children who fear clowns, however the design is deceiving.
'It is simple, really' Patches says from the middle of the ring. 'Step through these here ropes...'. Patches walks towards the ropes and lifts up the middle and bottom rope by pressing his foot down on the bottom rope and lifting the middle rope up with his hand. '...Last for the allotted time against Stitches The Clown and you will win yourself a grand monetary prize'.
Patches waves his hand out across the gathering masses in attendance and asks 'Is there anyone daring enough to challenge Stitches The Clown?'.
Several men in the audience puff out their chests to show off their masculinity but never actually acknowledge that they want to accept the challenge. It wasn't uncommon for a local wrestler to attend these events and accept the challenge of the challenging clown so it was possible that Stitches may intend have a challenge on his hands.
'Anyone? Anyone at all? Surely someone is brave enough, courageous enough to accept the challenge at a chance to win a lump sum of cash?'
'Fine, I'll accept' a male voice utters from the crowd.
'No, don't do it' a female voice pleads.
'I'll be fine' the male voice ensures her.
'Oh, we have a challenger?' Patches says from the middle of the ring. 'Well then, step right up'.
From the crowd in attendance emerges the challenger, a man in his late twenties, it seems, with a relatively muscular build. The man stretches himself out a little as he approaches ringside.
'Are you sure you want to do this?' Patches asks. 'By stepping through these ropes you accept the fact that we are not responsible for what may happen to you within those ropes'.
'I understand and, yes, I want to do this' the man replies.
'Okay, well climb up those steel steps over there and step through the ropes and we will get this challenge underway then'.
The crowd in attendance applaud the courageous man as he climbs up the steel steps and enters the ring, all the while Stitches eyes remain focused in on the challenger as he continues to sits in the corner of the ring.
'Okay, Bobo, ring the bell!'.
From nearby a shorter clown wearing a bushy red wig and smudged white face-paint rings the bell and jumps into the air in glee as the match begins. There was a reason why we had medical personal on hand, this poor, unfortunate soul was soon going to find out why.
The challenger, a little hesitant, approaches Stitches who remains seated in the corner of the ring, eyeing off the challenger as he approached. The challenger continues to approach Stitches with fists raised, unsure what my occur next. Stitches stretches his arms up as far as they can go from his seated position and grabs a hold of the top rope, he pulls himself up to his feet and stares down the challenger like an animal staring down its prey.
'Our challenger had a perfect opportunity to attack Stitches whilst he was down there, but now Stitches is to his feet' Patches says from ringside, providing commentary for those in attendance.
The challenger stands still in the middle of the ring, unable to decipher what to do next. With one quick burst Stitches charges at the challenger and before he can realise what has happened Stitches takes the challenger down with a stiff clothesline.
'And the challenger goes down, he must feel like he has been rundown by a locomotive' Patches says from the outside.
Stitches drops to his knees and covers the challenger, there is no way the challenger is going to get up after that.
'1...2...3! NO! Stitches lifts the shoulder of the challenger up to prevent the pinfall. Why would he do that?'
Stitches, still leaning over the challenger, stares out at the crowd with menancing eyes before a devilish grin comes across his grotesque face.
'What sadistic thoughts are running through the mind of Stitches?' Patches asks.
Stitches sits the challenger up, grabs the challenger from behind and locks in a submissive choke (the Death Star Choke).
'Stitches has the Carnival Pretzel locked in tighly on our brave challenger'.
From the side of the ring the clown known as Bobo slides in and checks on the challenger, instantly calling for the match to be called off.
'It looks like our challenger has passed out and therefore is unsuccessful in withstanding the might of Stitches The Clown' Patches informs the audience.
Patches steps away from ringside and approaches the audience once more in an attempt to distract them from what is going on in the ring. Stitches, having broken the Carnival Pretzel submission hold, has retreated into the tent located behind the ring whilst in the ring medical staff tend to the fallen challenger.
