MATCH ONE
"Headhuntress" Aiya VS King Flip
X-Division Match - 20 Minute Time Limit
REF: Mike Michaelson
We return to ringside for our opening match.
Martinez: Headhuntress Aiya takes on International Champion King Flip. This will be good.
Loydson: Aiya is coming off a big win over Killjoy Ito, while Flip is coming off a big win over Xavier Reid.
Chriqui: The following match is an X-Division rules bout scheduled for one fall with a twenty minute time limit. Introducing first from Kyoto, Japan & weighing in at 137 pounds... "HEEEADHUNTREEESS" AIYA!!!
As “Killer” by JJ Lin plays over the PA system, a fog appears near the curtains. As it slowly fades away, we see the form of “Headhuntress” Aiya standing at the top of the ramp. She saunters down, entering the ring through the middle and top ropes. Aiya then leans against the ring, already looking as if she’s making a game plan in her head whilst waiting for her opponent to enter the ring.
Chriqui: And her opponent, being accompanied to the ring by his manager Chanel, hailing from the land of money and fame, & weighing in at 220 pounds... He is the International Champion... KIIING FLIP!!!
K I N G F L I P zooms from right to left across the X-Tron and is followed swiftly by a pyro. 'Machinegun' begins to play as the man in the hooded vest, head low, emerges from the curtain with his manager not far behind him. He gets to the edge of the rampway when he lifts his hood to reveal that arrogant half smile, then unbuckles the vest to reveal the International championship. The lyrics chime in as he walks slowly down the ramp with his eyes locked in on the ring. He fake slides into the ring, then pulls back as Aiya jumps forward. His smile widens as he removes his vest to reveal the shirt of the week: 'Headhunt this DICK.' Chanel heads around the ring as Flip folds the vest and places it neatly at the top of the steps. His music fades as Chanel gets a microphone from a stage hand.
Chanel: Ladies and gentlemen...
The crowd murmurs as Chanel heads back to Flip. She hands over the microphone after he unbuckles the championship and places it on his shoulder.
Martinez: Aiya looks as ready for this fight as she did on Prime against Killjoy Ito.
Loydson: Seems King Flip has something to say first, though. It better be 'all hail the Queen.'
Martinez: I'm sure he wouldn't take that away from you.
Flip walks up the steel steps, stopping at the top step and placing one arm on the turnbuckle post.
King Flip: You like to talk, don't you, kid? Chatter chatter chatter. Calling people stupid is like your catchphrase, isn't it, you fucking dense grapefruit? Couldn't think of anything that's actually catchy so you just call people stupid. It'd be kinda funny if it wasn't so sad.
Flip continues as he enters the ring through the ropes. Aiya leers as she leans against the ropes on the opposite part of the ring, ready for her actions to speak for themself.
King Flip: You said I was tired of talking about 'Fest, but really, YOU were the one that didn't want to point out how absolutely fucking abysmal your performance was there, weren't you? YOU didn't want ME to remind THEM exactly how God awful you are as a performer, hiding behind 'stupid stupid stupid' and trying to hold yourself up... what. Because you beat Ito and I couldn't? Yet you ignore...
Flip raises the International championship into the air as he steps toward Aiya.
King Flip: ...exactly why I'm better than you. Always have been, always will be. THAT... is why you hate me.
Flip takes a few steps back with a chuckle. He seems to know what's about to happen, though, as he launches the microphone into Aiya's face just when she lunges at him. THUD. The mic feedback echoes throughout the arena as Aiya hits the canvas and gets right back up.
Martinez: And here we go!
DING DING DING
The King rolls under a roundhouse kick, letting loose the microphone on the canvas so that he can grip his title in both hands as he gets back to his feet. Aiya spins around and isn't fast enough to get her hands up. Flip blasts Aiya right in the face with the title belt before tossing it over the ropes to his manager. He keeps the pressure on the Headhuntress by dropping boots down on her body and face, kicking with authority as she slowly inches toward the turnbuckle in the seated position. He continues to stomp a mudhole into his opponent and walk it dry. He leans in and starts yelling at her.
King Flip: STUPID. STUPID. STUPID.
Aiya smacks the taste out of Flip's mouth with a blind right-handed slap out of nowhere. The King stumbles back, but he smiles as he rubs the spot on his face. Aiya uses the ropes to get back to a vertical base. King Flip rushes at her and gets a vicious big boot to the face for his troubles. He hits the canvas and rolls back to his feet. Another big boot! Flip rolls out of the ring and tries to remain standing but ends up stumbling back into the guardrail. The fans applaud the athleticism of the bout so far. Flip's smile doesn't fade as he uses the guardrail to stand. Aiya slides out of the opposite side of the ring and introduces the first two weapons to the match proper: a kendo stick and a staple gun.
Martinez: Aiya is ready for this match to get sick and twisted.
Loydson: My kinda style!
Aiya tosses the staple gun onto the ring apron and makes her way around the ring with the kendo stick. Chanel pleads as she gets closer, putting herself between the two opponents and placing her hands together in a prayer as she tries to distract the Headhuntress. Aiya doesn't want anything to do with it and shoves Chanel into the guardrail. She approaches Flip and gets a face full of beer. Flip had grabbed the nearest fan's beverage as his opponent made her way around has used it against Aiya. She lets out a scream in shock as she makes every effort to get it out and away from her eyes. Chanel comes up from behind and grabs her hair with both hands. This causes Aiya to drop the kendo stick on the floor so she can snapmare the manager off of her. The Headhuntress follows up with a MEAN kick to the back before finally being able to see again. Flip has rolled into the ring and awaits his opponent while slithering back on the canvas, eyes on Aiya. She grabs the kendo stick, but Chanel gets her hands on the other end. Aiya blasts her with another boot then slides into the ring having freed the weapon up for use. The King grabs that staple gun and leaps to his feet in tandem with Aiya. They seem to exchange words as they circle around the ring for a few moments. He launches himself at her, ducking the swing of the stick and staples Aiya in the butt cheek. He hits the ropes as she jumps around in pain. She swings at him again, and again he gets just under it and staples her in the lower back. This time, however, she rears back and slams the stick into his back. He buckles to his knees and she fights the pain of the staples to slam the stick into his back two, three, four times in a row. Flip braces himself on the middle rope, his smile fading as Aiya roars while raising the kendo stick in the air. The audience gives her a big reaction.
Loydson: The crowd loves this.
Martinez: Who doesn't love a good caning in the morning.
King Flip: THANK YOU, MISS. MAY I HAVE ANOTHER?
The audience gasps audibly as Flip yells out, pulling himself up and calling for Aiya to hit him with the stick again. The welts on his back are beginning to bleed. Aiya is momentarily shocked as well, but she happily obliges as he stumbles off the ropes toward her. CRACK! The kendo stick breaks over his dome as she swings as wildly as she ever has with the weapon. She tosses the shard she has left and goes for a pinfall as Flip bleeds from the forehead.

NO!!!
Flip just gets the shoulder up. He had dropped the staple gun on the canvas with that last attack from the kendo stick. Aiya picks it up and goes at the champion, but he gets his hands up to stop her. The two have a power struggle as the gun gets closer and closer to Flip's bleeding forehead. He turns her arms just to the right and pulls her toward him. THUD. Flip headbutts Aiya as she expels a staple into the canvas. She rolls off of him and the two spend a few moments on the canvas regaining their breath. The Headhuntress is the first to her feet to see Flip in a ball on the canvas, his forehead on the canvas and his arms tucked into his ribs as he heaves. Chanel jumps onto the ring apron and begins yelling at Aiya. She blasts the manager with a savate kick to get rid of the distraction but it comes into play once again as she heads for Flip. He springs to his feet and comes at her with the staple gun he'd been hugging on the ring. Aiya ducks the move for her head, standing her ground and blasting the champ with the same savate kick that she hit his manager with. He bounces off the ropes in a stupor. SHOOT ON SIGHT! She nails the signature spinning kick. Flip looks like the lights are on but nobody's home as he drops to his knees. OUT TO KILL! NO! Flip ducks the buzzsaw kick finisher and gets Aiya into a school boy pin. He puts his feet on the second rope for leverage as she attempts to kick out!

DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall in 17:05 ... KING FLIP!!!
Flip quickly rolls out of the ring as Aiya sits up in disgust. She leers at him once again as he gets his championship belt and a microphone from the ring bell attendant.
King Flip: Who's stupid now, bitch?
He tosses the mic to the attendant as 'Machinegun' continues to play over the public announce system, raising his International championship with a smile. Chanel joins him in a hobble and an arm around him as they head up the ramp. Flip is outright cackling as he backs up the ramp, bringing his free hand down to his shirt one more time. He slaps the title as he shoulders it, pointing at it and himself before pointing back to her and waving. The two turn around and head through the curtain as the camera returns to a very angry Aiya. She slams her fist down onto the canvas as she gets up.
Martinez: The international Champion King Flip picks up a win over Aiya tonight, but I have a feeling we will see these two face off again very soon.
Loydson: I agree there, this one is definitely not over.
Martinez: And this show definitely isn't over either, don't you go anywhere. We'll be right back!
Camera cuts to ...
The camera opens backstage inside the Meiji Jingu Stadium where we find Rampage’s own Brian Spade. He smiles as he looks into the camera
Spade: Ladies and gentlemen, please help me in welcoming home…the EWC Undisputed Champion Killjoy Ito!!!
There is a loud cheer out in the stadium as the camera pulls back to show Killjoy Ito standing next to Brian in his wrestling trunks and robe already on, the EWC Undisputed Championship around his waist. The Tokyo fans break out in a Killjoy chant
KILLJOY!!!
KILLJOY!!!
KILLJOY!!!
Killjoy smiles and nods his appreciation to the fans as he looks back at Brian but someone off screen clears their throat and Brain smiles
Spade: AND, please help me welcome ‘The Prodigal Son’ Buddy Love!!!
To the shock of all three men the Tokyo fans show Buddy some love as the break into a Buddy chant
BUDDY!!!
BUDDY!!!
BUDDY!!!
Buddy goes a little red and is moved by the love as he holds up his hand, to thank them and to also calm them down
Love: Thank you, thank you…it is good to be back in my second home…Tokyo, Japan!!!
The fans cheer for this cheap plug but Buddy just smiles
Love: I can’t tell you how happy we are to be back home here in Tokyo, in front of you amazing fans but don’t just believe me…
Buddy looks at Killjoy who leans into the microphone
Ito: Furusato no fan no mae de ie ni kaeru koto ga dekite kōeidesu!!!
The fans sitting out in the stadium cheer loudly as Buddy smiles and Killjoy leans back
Love: As much as I would love nothing more than to let Killjoy take this interview over, the people over at HBO wouldn’t be too pleased with me if they had to add subtitles for their American viewers so…
The fans boo but Buddy holds up his hand to tell them it’s ok
Love: It’s ok, it’s ok…I can make it worth your wild and be entertaining…
Spade: Well tonight Killjoy returns to Rampage to face off against your fellow Paramount star Emma Louise…
Buddy nods
Love: Yes, yes…Emma Louise, who is making her Rampage debut here tonight, can you believe that? After all these years she is going to honor you Rampage fans with her presents so treat her accordingly!!!
Buddy smirks as a few fans boo
Love: Now I know Emma, this is only your second match of the season, the first one being a loss against Jordan Sharpe at Paramount #017 but don’t worry…it’s just like riding a bike right, I’m sure all that skill will come rushing back to you and you can draw on all the success you had last season…oh wait…
Buddy pauses and smiles
Love: You didn’t have any success last season did you? 0-8 in 2021, dang…what did you do to Grizzly Duggan to make him so mad at you Emma? Because this has to be some sort of punishment he’s handing out…
Spade: Now Buddy, I don’t think this is punishment but Grizzly giving a proven veteran a great opportunity to make her mark against the EWC Undisputed Champion. I mean, can you imagine what a win over Killjoy would do for Emma’s career?
Buddy pauses and looks at Brian
Love: No!!! Because I have never allowed myself to think about her actually having a shot in this match…Brian this is Killjoy Ito she’s facing, he’s been in the ring with the absolute best the EWC has to offer, he’s the man that has been the EWC Undisputed Champion for 166 days, that makes him the 5th longest Undisputed Champion in the history of the EWC…moving him past Scorpio AND he’s the second man since 2018 to have more than 1 successful defense of that championship…he’s The Ace of the EWC, the dog top and Emma…she’s being lead to slaughter…Emma…
Buddy looks into the camera
Love: I heard the doubt in your voice in that promo, you were right, nobody expects you to win here tonight and neither do you…I can see that but you are putting on a brave face and I respect that…Killjoy respects that. There is real honor in walking into a no win situation with your head held high and I know you will give Killjoy your best, everything you have inside yourself but it’s not going to be enough…Emma…
But Buddy is distracted by something…or someone. The camera shifts to show Queen Melody Malone walking by t
he three men, she gives them a look and Buddy smiles
Love: Miss Malone…
She looks at him, shakes her head and rolls her eyes and continues to walk but Buddy yells out
Love: Oh come on, don’t ignore us the way you ignored us before WrestleFest…
Its enough to give Melody pause as a smirk crosses her face and she turns on her heel. She takes a couple steps back toward the trio and gives Spade a reassuring wink.
Malone: Oh don’t mind me. I’m just here to get a good look at the Killjoy Ito rebound tour. Bit of a shame what happened on Prime. Really thought you had that in the bag…
She lets out a dramatic sigh, shaking her head as she crosses her arms over her chest. She props her chin on the back of one hand, giving Buddy a disappointed look.
Malone: It really would’ve been in your best interest to make sure he walked out of there as the number one contender to the X-Division championship. He’s going to need something to do after I win at Scars and Stripes. Maybe Brock will give him a shot at the North American championship. You think he can pull that one off?
She shifts now, her eyes staring directly at Killjoy as she continues speaking ‘to’ Buddy.
Malone: That is… if he thinks he can handle the rigors of being champion again.
Buddy doubles over and gives off a fake laugh before standing back up and looking at Brian Spade, as he motions to Melody Malone.
Love: This one right, always a ray of sunshine…I get why you are so excited to talk to ANYONE other than…
Buddy tilts his head in Melody’s direction
Love: YES, Killjoy stumbled a bit at Prime #097 but hats off to Aiya and we wish her the best of luck at World Wide IV BUT…if there is a silver lining in defeat it’s we get to devote our full attention on you Miss Malone…we’d wish you the best of luck tonight but it seems you took the night off, smart I guess, get rested and ready to go but us…well we like to keep sharp, you might have missed it but we bounced back from that loss to Aiya with a win over Sour Candy at Paramount #021…guess that didn’t grab your attention but that’s ok, I’m sure you saw it…
Buddy smiles at Melody who chuckles, looking almost incredulous.
Malone: How could I forget? Sour Candy’s quite the ah…formidable opponent isn’t she? She’s only bagged losses all season to everyone including Iggy Swango - who did it WITHOUT me behind her might I add - and almost lost a tooth at Hardcore Revolution. But yeah. Great job getting that bounce back win. Real solid effort.
She mockingly bows in Killjoy’s direction, before turning back to Buddy with a sneer.
Malone: And yes, I took tonight off. When you’ve worked every episode of Rampage, MVP’d every episode of Rampage, and literally worked twice in one night? You get the luxury of taking a night off. Hell, even with tonight off I’ll still have as many wins as episodes of Rampage this season. And while you were losing to Aiya and beating the leftover halloween candy? I was in a near hour long gauntlet with Darna Dare last Rampage. But… I’m sure you saw it.
It’s Melody’s turn to give Buddy the same smile in return but Buddy looks at Killjoy and then back at Melody.
Love: No sorry, we didn’t…see we were meeting with the Japanese Press during your match, we HEARD you won but we really didn’t see it but still…
Buddy holds out his hands and gives her a golf clap.
Love: And congratulations on appearing on every Rampage until tonight, I mean Killjoy has done the same on Paramount…you know, the 2021 Brand of the Year but he doesn’t need a cookie for doing so, no…as their top star we sort of feel like it’s our duty but still, nice work…
Buddy again gives a golf clap to Melody.
Love: And as far as MVP’s go, once again, solid job, 7 Rampage MVP’s…I guess we will just have to settle with our 6 MVP’s…and sure we haven’t been the MVP of EVERY Paramount but we have been on BOTH ppvs we’ve been on but as Shania Twain said I’m sure that doesn’t ‘Impress You Much’ but that’s ok...I know how hard it is to please the Queen…
Buddy shrugs as if he’s done trying.
Love: I guess I’ll leave you with this, enjoy your night off and I hope you enjoy watching Killjoy here tonight, study up and we will do this again next week at Rampage #503…
Buddy winks and gives her a small curtsy, Buddy nodges Killjoy and the two men walk away leaving Melody with Brian Spade, he looks at her and extends his microphone but she gives him ‘the look’ and he pulls it back and runs off.
MATCH TWO
Emma Louise VS Killjoy Ito
Non-Title - Singles Match - 20 Minute Time Limit
REF: Pierce Patterson
We return to ringside where Pierce Patterson stands ready.
Martinez: Non-title action up next, with the Undisputed Champion Killjoy Ito looking to take on a game face in Emma Louise following that exchange with Melody Malone. Expect fast-paced action and not an ounce of quit in this one, folks!
Loydson: I don't agree. Ito's team have called out this girl as a 'journeywoman' and I reckon that's what we're gonna see. The master against a perpetual apprentice. She's trying to survive.
Chriqui: The following match is for one fall, with a twenty minute time limit. Making her way to the ring, residing in the UK and weighing in tonight at one hundred and thirty five pounds, she is the ever beautiful and very dangerous ... EMMA LOUISE!
'Angel On My Shoulder' plays and Emma Louise steps through the curtain. She licks between the index and ring fingers on her right hand before she holds her arm out with the middle three fingers on her right hand pointing down and her thumb and pinkie pointing to the sides. Emma walks down the isle half walking half bobbing to the music. She walks up the steps and through the ropes before climbing to the middle turnbuckle and performing the same finger licking and arm out taunts.
Chriqui: And her opponent, from Tokyo, Japan and weighing in at two hundred and thirty five pounds ... KILLJOY ITO!!!
‘The Prodigal Son’ Buddy Love walks out onto the stage and raises his arms into the air as the lights fade out. He jumps up and down as ‘Deeper Deeper’ begins to play. A strobe light circles around the stage as a single white spotlight hits the stage where Killjoy Ito is standing, his back facing the ring, his arms stretched out and his head down. He swings around to face the ring as Buddy Love runs up and stands next to him. After a quick word the pair start to walk towards the ring, Buddy runs ahead and charges up the steps and holds open the ropes for Killjoy to step through. Killjoy walks to the center of the ring, extends his arms and tilts his head back to soak everything in.
Martinez: Despite my partner's bitter sentiment, Emma Louise doesn't look scared, doesn't look intimidated, she's going to wrestle this one just like she always does. This could be close!
Loydson: It won't be.
DING DING DING
The action starts off hot, both competitors surging forward. Emma Louise acts first, lifting her leg for a superkick, which Ito weaves under, firing back with a thunderous forearm as he straightens. He doesn't get all of it; Em manages to divert the impact with her own arm, stumbling slightly under the sheer weight of the blow. She turns the stumble into a dash for the ropes, whipping in toward Ito-- who leapfrogs her flawlessly, landing with a crisp bounce as she coms in again and goes under his intercepting clothesline. Skidding on her knees, Emma Louise turns and thrusts herself up on all fours, going again for the opening superkick!
Pow! It catches Ito right in the mush, and he staggers back a step, catching himself as he wipes the taste from his mouth and looks at her with an approving smirk. The 'journeywoman' smiles in return, then steps into a gut kick. Ito doubles over, and she hooks an arm and pulls him in for one of her many DDT variations, but he manages to turn it around, spinning out and catching her with a short-arm clothesline. Holding on, he yanks her back to her feet, catches her around the waist and pulling her into a bridging Northern Lights Suplex for the early cover...

KICKOUT!
Martinez: The World Champion almost put this one away without any trouble.
Loydson: He's Undisputed for a reason.
Ito isn't letting up, on his feet in the same instant as Emma Louise and beginning to lay it in thick with strikes, peppering her with low kicks and boot-quivering forearms as she struggles to mount comebacks using strikes of her own. There's just no out-striking the Undisputed Champion, and he pushes the pace ferociously, whipping Em toward the ropes and dropping her to her knees with a spinning axe kick, then an explosive corkscrew roundhouse that lays her out flat. Rather than make the cover, Ito does a circuit of the ring, holding his arms out to the crowd as Buddy Love crows triumphantly on the outside. Em recovers, rolls through Ito's legs and takes him down with an ankle pick, before trying to float over into a guillotine.
The champ fights back, and they trade holds on the ground for a couple of minutes, Louise clearly struggling to manhandle the much larger opponent, but she manages to get the upper hand and pull him up in a Dragon Sleeper position, taking him right back down with a swinging neckbreaker! She flips herself over and dives into the cover!

KICKOUT!
Ito kicks out with authority and surges to his feet, powerful and roaring, getting immediately into his opponent's face, rough-housing his forehead against hers. Emma Louise struggles to push him back and not lose ground, then suddenly seems to yield to the pressure--
--it's a trap. He stumbles into her, and she uses his momentum against him, ripping him from his feet in a beautiful and deceptive show of strength, shoving her hands into his armpits and planting him on his back with the SHOWRUN! She goes for the cover again, grinning ear-to-ear, but starts to look somewhat dismayed as the crowd fails to get behind her - he's the hometown boy, after all...

KICKOUT!
Killjoy rolls to his feet, balancing himself briefly against the ropes as he stares down Emma Louise, who is starting to change her tune, looking discombobulated as she realises how heavily the fans are behind the Undisputed Champion. Tokyo is vibing with him as he roars and throws out his arms, turning three-sixty degrees. Trying to capitalise on his decision to showboat, Em darts forward, but walks right into a spinning backfist! She hits the deck, slaps the canvas, and pops right back to her feet-- into a picture-perfect and immaculately-timed hesitation dropkick! Ito dives for the ropes immediately therefter, getting into position for her next rise...
And then he springboards in, flying like a bird to catch Louise clean between the eyes with the KUSHU! His forearm practically drills her through the canvas, and the champion lands on all fours, staring down at the challenger, then sending his hungry stare out to the crowd. They let out a surge of noise obligingly, and he's grinning himself, predatorily, as he picks her up into position for his Tobidashi Naifu! The Twisted DDT folds poor Em in half, with a sickening whirl of limbs she hits the mat, and Ito covers her snugly with a forearm across the face, looking confident.

KICKOUT!
At 2.99, Em throws up her shoulder, letting out a tight battle cry as she does so!
Loydson: That was a giant kick out from Emma Louise to stay alive in this one.
Martinez: She's putting up more of a fight than the Undisputed Champion may have expected.
Emma Louise staggers to her feet, and Ito all but floats to his, his gaze narrowed and determined as he simply, brutally steps in to finish her off with a simple roundhouse kick to the skull. She sees it coming and ducks under, wide-eyed, only for the champ to reply with a sharply-angled elbow to the jaw, rattling her bones and spinning her around. She stumbles to her knees, clutching at her jaw, and he steps right into another slashing elbow, arcing it against the side of her skull with a wild swing. The KOBANWA! Em hits the deck, senseless...
Ito goes to make the cover again, but Em comes alive against all the odds, scoring a roll-up that has Buddy Love looking absolutely livid!

KICKOUT!
Ito kicks out HARD, throwing Em halfway across the ring on her ass, barking harsh words in Japanese as the crowd explodes in relief for their hometown hero! He psyches himself up with blows across the face, then beating on his own chest as she steps forward, pursuing Emma Louise into the corner. She falls back, managing to drive his face into the turnbuckle, but the Undisputed Champion is like a goddamn Terminator. He bounces back, slams his forehead against hers, then follows up with a scintillating chop to the chest, keeping her in place before dragging her out of the corner, flipping her up and over in his clutches, every muscle popping in his frame-- as he pulls Emma Louise into a vertical suplex, holding her in position as he turns to give the crowd every possible angle.
They EXPLODE as they see what's coming, and he drops her into a sit-out tombstone, completing the STEINER SCREWDRIVER to Tokyo's burning delight. Emma Louise looks like she's been shot, thudding headfirst against the canvas and then simply sprawling out. Ito steps around her, thumbing his nose, considering her calmly before he elects not to make the cover, but to pull her onto her knees, framing her like an artist framing the perfect portrait...
There's nobody in the arena who doesn't know what's coming. They're all on their feet.
Ito bursts into a run across the ring, and everything feels right. Everything is perfect. KETTEI-DA! The Kill-Shot catches Em right between the eyes, and she takes the sniper bullet as everybody does; the only way anybody can. She's down, she's out, and the cover feels completely academic.

DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall in 13:00 ... KILLJOY ITO!!!
Ito climbs to his feet, already with both arms in the air, turning through the electric atmosphere of a delighted, triumphant crowd as they show their pure appreciation for whom they clearly consider the best wrestler in the entire company. Buddy Love rolls into the ring and pushes Pierce Patterson aside, taking the belt and putting it on Ito himself before re-raising his beloved client's arm to a fresh surge of enthusiasm from the Tokyo faithful.
Martinez: Well, he may not be undefeated, but there's no doubt just why Killjoy Ito has made it to the top of the pile. He's a scary man indeed, not just difficult to put away but nigh impossible to even rattle! He's the definition of a wrestling machine!
Loydson: That he damn well is. But I'm not gonna take anything away from Emma Louise here; she had him close to the end on a couple of occasions, really pushed this as far as she could. She's got nothin' to be ashamed of. When you fight the best, you're likely to come up just a little short.
Martinez: And you'll get beaten up short if you think about changing that dial, we've got Xavier Reid backstage.
Camera cuts to ...
The camera cuts backstage inside Meiji Jingu Stadium and inside the ‘visitors’ locker room where we find Xavier Reid because you know…Xavier’s from Brawl…we find him sitting on a bench, his ‘injured’ left foot soaking in a bowl of ice water to keep the burning sensation down. He is looking down at a piece of paper and as the camera zooms in we can see: An Open Letter to the Bastard Spawn of my Dad Who's Gawn...the letter El Pablo wrote on the eve of their last encounter…he lifts it up and down several times, trying to decide if he wants to open ‘that old wound’ but finally sets the letter back down on the bench…
Reid: No…it’s not worth it…stay focused on…
But before he can finish the sentence to himself his phone starts to buzz, Xavier looks down at his phone and it reads: Chico Volando…
Reid: Are you kidding me…
Xavier pushes the button on the side of his phone and sends the call to voicemail as his manager, ‘The Memphis Mouthpiece’ Tommy Love walks into the locker room and looks at Xavier as he tosses a roll of tape up and down in his hand…
Love: Got you the tape kid…
Tommy tosses it to Xavier and smiles at him but Xavier shakes his head…
Reid: What…
Love: Nothing…I just hope the tap helps…
He grins but Xavier isn’t in the mood to explain to his manager that the pain is real…he really isn’t in the mood for his manager at all…
Reid: You know you don’t have to be out there tonight…I know Jamie has a really important match against Ruthann right after my match so if you…
But Tommy waves him off…
Love: No way I’m missing this match Xavier besides…I would never hear the end of it from my daughter if I bailed out on you…
Tommy starts to smile when Xavier’s phone beeps, Tommy looks at it and motions at Xavier…
Love: Speaking of which Bunny must have left you a voicemail…
Tommy points at the phone but Xavier shakes his head…
Reid: It’s not from Bunny…it’s from Chico…
The smirk on Tommy’s face disappears as his mouth falls open for a second in shock but he quickly regroups and looks at Xavier…
Love: Are you kidding me…now, tonight of all nights to try and…
Reid: He’s been trying to call…I just haven’t taken them…
Tommy pauses for a second at this new information but shakes his head anyways…
Love: Still…he had to know this would mess with your head…Xavier…
Tommy walks over and takes a seat next to Xavier on the bench…
Love: I hate admitting this as a parent but we all have our favorite children, for me it’s Bunny and for Chico it has been and always will be Pablo…he has so much to lose here tonight so your father is calling to mess with you, it was smart sending him to voicemail and not allowing him to get into your head…
Tommy smiles at Xavier but Xavier shakes his head as he pulls his foot out of the water and starts drying it off…
Reid: I’m sure Buddy and Jamie would love to hear you love Bunny more…
Tommy shrugs and smiles…
Reid: But it didn’t matter what Chico had to say because this match is already in my head…how could it not be after my ‘big brother’ gave me all that sound advice…after he got up on his holier than thou soapbox and took me to task, explaining ‘everything’ that is wrong with me and talking to me about ‘accountability’...when the hell has he ever took accountability for anything…
Xavier looks at Tommy who can only shrug…
Reid: I mean with all due respect Pablo’s ego was so out of control that our family rose up in mutiny and overthrew him as the Head of the Volando Family…our own brother Vertigo even got this shots in…I’ve made amends, I’ve let go of my hate towards him and out father and left him alone to have this great run he’s been on…I never once seeked him out to try and ruin it out of spite…yet I’m not accountable in his eyes…
Xavier tosses the towel aside and starts to wrap his foot in the white tape…
Reid: I’ve never blamed anyone for my losses, was I prepared for Gabi to be at her worst at Hardcore Revolution…yeah, that was just me covering all my bases…did I blame her for m losing to Flip…I don’t remember those words coming out of my mouth…
Love: Well your brother doesn’t really live in our universe Xavier…
But Xavier waves off this excuse…
Reid: He’s painting me as someone I am not Tommy and why is he doing that…
Tommy shrugs…
Reid: To make himself look like the bigger man…see he talked about how he took time away after his loss to Dominic Sanders to what…figure things out…see I don’t do that…Brawl #576, it was one the most disappointing loses I’ve ever had because for the first time in my life I embraced our families legacy and lost…to make matter worse our father knew how much I put into that match and never once came to check on me…he left with Pablo like it was nothing but unlike our X-Division Champion I didn’t take time off…I didn’t run off to clear my head…I showed back up the next week for Brawl #577 and beat his best friend, the then EWC Undisputed Champion Ace King…I followed that up by NOT sitting in my room trying to find out the meaning of life but going to Rampage #494 and beating Flip, Pence Weatherlight and Carrie Samson and then I went to WrestleFest and AVENGED that loss to Stitches in one of the most brutal matches of the four day festival…but again, tell me I’m not accountable…
Xavier continues to wrap his ‘injured’ foot…
Reid: Hell even after all the SHIT he falsely accused me of I didn’t come here tonight to fucking kill him…nope…I feel bad for him…that he thinks so little of himself that he feels the need to make me out to be the bad guy…but fuck it…I’ll go out there and shake the man’s hand because I’M THE BIGGER MAN TOMMY!!! I’m the bigger man and I won’t try and go out of my way to hurt him…yeah I’m going to try and beat him but I’m not going to try and hurt him…I don’t want to be the reason he loses at World Wide IV…I don’t want to be HIS excuse…
Tommy smiles and nods…
Love: He’s deflecting his own issues onto you Xavier…they all do this because you’re an easy target…nobody is going to feel bad for Xavier Reid…
Reid: Tonight I’m going to go out there…despite this burnt and mangled foot and remind everyone why I was a two time X-Division Champion…that I’m JUST AS GOOD if not better than my ‘big brother’ when it comes to the crazy and violent X-Division and IF he’s able to retain at World Wide IV then MAYBE I’ll be waiting for my title match…
Xavier rips the tape and slams it down on the bench. He stands up, putting weight on the foot to make sure the tape helped and nods at his manager who just smiles…
Backstage, we find Bryan Spade standing beside X-Division Champion El Pablo inside one of the many corridors that weave their way through the bowels of the Meiji Jingu Stadium. The golden faceplate of the aforementioned title belt hangs casually around the waist of the Technicolour Tecnico who, naturally, is cheerfully tossing Skittles into his mouth as he grins down the camera lens.
Spade: El Pablo, we are just moments away from seeing you make your singles Rampage debut when you face your own brother, Xavier Reid, in a match that’ll be contested under X-Division rules. Now, you had some pretty strong words for Reid during the week…some ‘home truths,’ shall we say…I just wondered, given what we’ve heard the Xavier Reid camp say about you in the run-up to this match as well, what your feelings are towards your brother at this present moment?
EP offers a chuckle at the question, finishing his mouthful as he takes a moment to consider his response.
El Pablo: I mean, I don’t think we’re gonna be coming over to each other’s houses for dinner any time soon…but, you know what? As bad as things between us have historically been…for as many years as I’ve wanted nothing more than to stomp his stupid face into the sand…it’s honestly fine. If our paths cross in future, I feel like we can happily co-exist in that locker room without wanting to throttle each other; I feel like we, equally, probably want each other to actively succeed in our own individual endeavours…it’s pretty cool, you know?
Spade: So the fans shouldn’t expect to see the two of you embroiled in some ultraviolent bloodbath here tonight?
El Pablo: Oh no, we’re absolutely gonna try and tear each other limb from limb; it’s just more of a ‘sibling rivalry, oneupmanship’ kind of vibe as opposed to the scorched earth battle for the soul of La Familia that we’ve previously been used to. Fact is, there’s still plenty at stake in this match for both of us. Xavier’s looking for a big win to try and turn his season around, while I’ve gotta try and keep my momentum going ahead of my potentially paradigm-shifting showdown with Aiya at World Wide IV.
Spade: We just saw the Number One Contender to your championship in action a moment ago here tonight.
El Pablo: We absolutely did, so I know for a fact that she’s gonna be watching this, trying to gather as much insight and gain as much of an advantage as she can. Ergo…it’s vital that I give her a taste - as if she’s not been served more than her fill already - of exactly the kind of chaos and carnage that she can expect on June 19th. After all…if I’d inflict whatever level of pain and punishment’s about to come upon my own flesh and blood, just imagine what I’ll do to somebody who’s been a thorn in my side for the last eight months?
The Tecnico chuckles again, tossing another fistful of Skittles into his mouth.
El Pablo: That’s a question for another time, though. For now, though, it’s about inviting the good people of Tokyo to the latest long-awaited Volando family reunion - the violent collision between the X-Division’s past and present future! As I said in the run-up, Xavier’s got a heck of a reputation under X-Division rules - but, tonight, I fully intend on showing mi hermano - and, of course, the phenomenal Friday Night Rampage audience! - that a reputation means nothing…when measured against a legacy.
EP unsnaps his title belt from around his waist and hauls it up over his shoulder, slapping an affectionate hand upon its faceplate as he does so.
El Pablo: I am days away from making X-Division history…and so, what better preparation for finally being able to feast upon the fruits of my ultraviolent physical labours than by forcing a former two-time X-Division Champion to Taste the Rainbow?
EP smirks, tossing a final fistful of Skittles into his mouth as he gives the camera a wink.
El Pablo: See you out there, brother. Viva La Rainbowlution.
With that, the Tecnico takes his leave, as the screen cuts to the next segment.
MATCH THREE
Xavier Reid VS El Pablo
Non-Title - Brother Vs Brother X-Division Match - 30 Minute Time Limit
REF: Mike Michaelson
We return to ringside where we see Mike Michaelson standing inside the ring, ready to kick things off.
Martinez: It’s about that time again for some X-Division action! We've just heard from Xavier and Pablo, and folks We’ve got an interesting one here though, a family dispute of sorts if you will!
Loydson: El Pablo and Xavier Reid have a complicated past, and we’ve seen these two go at it before. The dynamics are insane here, Loydson. While El Pablo’s got a tight grip on that X-Division Championship, Reid just lost the International Title not that long ago. You know that has too sting, too see someone in your family be more successful than you! Regardless, I can’t wait to see how they’re going to brutalize each other!
Chriqui: The following match is an non-title X-Division Match! Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by 'The Memphis Mouthpiece' Tommy Love, from New York, weighing in at 220 pounds... XAVIER REID!!!
The spotlights inside the arena start to flash around the crowd as 'Papercut' starts to play out. Xavier Reid walks out onto the stage in his new black trunk, kickpads and boots, his hands wrapped in black tape and from behind him ‘The Memphis Mouthpiece’ Tommy Love walks out. He walks to the front of the stage and crosses his arms into an X in front of his chest and smirks as Tommy walks out from behind him and acts as if he’s going to hit the camera with the ‘Love Stick’. Tommy points to the ring and Xavier walks towards the ring shadow boxing as he makes his way down the aisle. Xavier storms up the steps and climbs into the ring, Tommy follows suit and walks towards the referee, already complaining about something. Xavier storms across the ring to the opposite corner and jumps to the middle rope and looks over the crowd and once again crosses his arms into an X as Tommy pulls out some money and tries to bribe the official who walks away as Tommy laughs. Xavier jumps down and squats down in the corner waiting for the bell.
Chriqui: And his opponent, from Puebla City, Mexico, weighing in at 180 pounds... THE X-DIVISION CHAMPIOOOOON, EL PABLOOOOO!!!
A cry of “VIVA LA RAINBOWLUTION!!!” leads to ‘Party Hard’ by Andrew WK hitting the soundsystem, as the stage and ringside area becomes bathed in flashing, flickering, brightly-coloured lighting. As the main hook hits, El Pablo bursts through the curtain, playing to the fans and chugging Skittles like a Steveweiser while the X-Division Championship belt glistens around his waist. He charges down the ramp and slides under the ropes into the ring, then runs up the turnbuckle and holds the title belt high above his head to another pop from the adoring crowd. After offering a final salute, he hops back down to the canvas, handing his belt to the referee and performing a few final stretches as his music fades.
Martinez: You brought up earlier about the dynamic of one man having a title, while the other still feels the burn of losing another title. I’d say it doesn’t matter between these two. We’ve seen them as a tag team, as rivals, and if I was a betting man, I’d say tonight, they’re just two fighters looking to gain a victory here tonight.
Loydson: Get ready to lose some money then Martinez, because someone’s walking out of here a different man!
DING DING DING
Xavier takes a step towards the center of the ring, and to the surprise of the fans, offers a handshake. El Pablo is hesitant, not sure if he should take it, but after he looks out to the crowd, he looks to Xavier and shakes his hand. They nod at one another and circle each other. They lock up and battle for control, but El Pablo twists his arm into an arm wrench. Xavier tries to fight it off but El Pablo grounds him with an arm drag. Xavier’s up and runs at him, but a dropkick by El Pablo grounds him. A quick cover attempt occurs, but Xavier kicks out and is quickly up. El Pablo runs at him but Xavier SLAPS him hard! The crowd goes “ooh”, but Pablo retorts with some stiff elbow strikes that back him into the ropes! El Pablo runs the ropes and clotheslines Xavier out of the ring! El Pablo runs the ropes again and looks for a suicide dive of sorts, but as he comes through the ropes, Xavier makes him crash and burn with a nearby chair, throwing it at his head!
Martinez: They are already out for blood in this one!
Loydson: And there will be blood.
El Pablo crashes to the apron with a motionless stop. Xavier shoves him into the ring and tosses the chair in the ring. He takes two more chairs and tosses them in. He climbs into the ring and drags El Pablo to sit near the corner. He takes a chair with him and puts it next to El Pablo’s head. He runs the ropes and hits a running face wash to collide the chair into his face! Xavier backs up and let's El Pablo wobbly get too his feet. Xavier puts up his fists, wanting to fight, and El Pablo swings! Xavier ducks it and hits a few jabs to his stomach, before slapping him three times in a row! Xavier runs the ropes to follow it up, but as he comes back El Pablo nails him with a Standing Spanish Solo! He goes for a cover, but Xavier kicks out! El Pablo is unsure of what to do! He takes a deep breath and rolls out of the ring, grabbing a ladder and shoving it into the ring. The crowd pop as he enters and sets it up.
Loydson: This is about to go to an even bigger level!
Martinez: These brothers will stop at nothing to maim the other
El Pablo is about to climb it, but Xavier is up and smashes Pablo’s head against the steel ladder. He smashes his head off of it a few times before shoving him to the ground, grabbing his arms, and starts stomping his half-brother’s head in with the Fuck You Stomp! Pablo is in a lot of pain, but Xavier calls for the finish! He sets up two chairs next too each other and picks up El Pablo, setting him up on his shoulders for XPLODE! But El Pablo grabs the rung of the ladder and begins to climb! Xavier slaps him in the back, but El Pablo kicks him backwards into the chairs! EL PABLO LEAPS FROM THE LADDER AND CRASHES ONTO XAVIER, PUTTING HIM THROUGH THE SEATS OF BOTH CHAIRS WITH A LEG DROP! The crowd is ballistic, but El Pablo’s not done! Xavier is completely out of it! El Pablo climbs up the top rope! TASTE THE RAINBOW! IT CONNECTS! COVER FROM EL PABLO!

DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winner, via time limit draw at 30 minutes... XAVIER REID & EL PABLO!!!
El Pablo rises to his feet and looks at the clock on the X-Tron that glows red and show a giant 40. he turns around and sees Xavier slowly get to his feet, looking his half-brother in the eyes. It’s a tense moment, but after some time, El Pablo is now the one who offers a handshake. Xavier doesn’t even think twice of this, shaking his hand.
Martinez: Talk about a resolution! These men went through war! A time limit draw, and both men have a huge amount of respect for each other!
Loydson: Xavier put El Pablo through hell, El Pablo put Xavier through hell, You know they are both in so much pain. At the end, both men are still at the pinnacle of their respectful division.
Martinez: I cannot wait to see these two go at it again!
Camera cuts to ...
MATCH FOUR
Ruthann Hunter VS "The Love Child" Jamie Love
No DQ Submission Rules Match - 30 Minute Time Limit
REF: Pierce Patterson
We return to ringside where Pierce Patterson looks nervous as he checks over the ropes, and patrols the outside of the ring ensuring the space beyond lies clear.
Martinez: You thought we were done with carnage? You'd be wrong! From the X-Division to a no-DQ match, Rampage is not letting up on the blood and guts. The only way out of this one is to make your bloody, battered opponent tap the eff out! Strap in for a bumpy ride.
Loydson: Not just that, but this is about bad blood and family ties. Ruthann Hunter has a long history with the Family Love, and Jamie is the latest in a string of bad apples attached to that name. There's gonna be nothing left behind in this one, and absolutely NO love lost.
Chriqui: The following match is a submission match, with NO disqualifications! Introducing first, from San Fransciso, California, and weighing in at one hundred and thirty eight pounds... "RUTHLESS AGGRESSION" RUTHANN HUNTER!!!
Du du du du-du du du
Du du du du du-du du du
The crowd starts to chant that part of the song out loud. As the lights go out as Fall Out Boy Centuries came blasting on. They look up at the ramp standing there with a smoke surround her was Ruthless Aggression with her head down. She lifts up her head as she has a long black trench coat that fit her body. As she walking down the ramp it a has "EWC 4 Life" written across it with a picture of a baseball bat on under it in blue and red colors. She smirks as she stops in the middle of the middle ramp looking around taking in the crowd. She closed her eyes as the words came blasting over the speakers.
Some legends are told
Some turn to dust or to gold
But you will remember me
Remember me for centuries
And just one mistake
Is all it will take.
We'll go down in history
Remember me for centuries
Hey, hey, hey
Remember me for centuries
She then threw her fist up in the air as she just stood there with a sick grin on her face. She's joined by another grinning woman, the two bumping fists before walking towards the steps. Rhonda, the woman known as Black Death, stalks the outside as Ruthann climbs inside of the ring and jumps up onto the turnbuckle as she sings the chorus with the Tokyo faithful.
Du du du du-du du du
Du du du du du-du du du
She then jumps down and turns around facing Jamie taking off the trench coat. She hands it Rhonda on the outside, and looks ready to fight.
Chriqui: And her opponent, from Takayama, Japan, and weighing in at one hundred and twenty pounds... JAMIE LOVE!!!
The opening instrumental plays as the lights go dim leaving only the stage lit. As the lyrics start Jamie comes out looking battered and bruised, one eye swollen, taking center stage with his father on his left and Maria and Sara on his right. He looks at his entourage before walking down the ramp with his father and Maria behind him, Sara on his arm, Tommy jeering at the people in the front row and Maria giving him last minute advice. When he gets into the ring he does some last minute warm ups as he waits for the match to begin.
Martinez: A woman who needs absolutely no introduction, Ruthless Aggression is a legend in the EWC, and many would say she's lowering herself by taking this match, Phil! But Ruth has hustle and respect, she respects Jamie and just wants to teach him a lesson in front of his girlfriend.
Loydson: A lot of people say a lot of things. Don't let his size or those bruises fool ya, Jamie's a fierce competitor who's had wars with plenty of champions, and has a win over Samantha Hamilton and more than one Hall of Famer already! He's fresh off an underground fight, and here to teach this legendary woman a lesson himself! Turnabout is fair play.
DING DING DING
There's a slew of instructions and cajolings from ringside as the bell rings, and the competitors begin to circle one another. The only person quiet on the outside is Rhonda, who stares daggers across the ring at the veritable entourage brought in by Jamie Love. The Love Child starts off confused as he processes too much information at once, and pays for it as the veteran Hunter spears him to the mat and starts laying in punches, mounting up and raining down thunder! Jamie covers up as best he can, then manages to seize an arm and reverse into an armbar!
Ruthann uses her ring awareness to seize the bottom rope, but there's no break by the referee, and Jamie just sinks more deeply into the hold as Ruth's hand slips from the rope, fingers jarred loose in a burst of pain. There's no way she's quitting this early, however, and the Hall of Famer manages to stack up on the armbar, whipping long-armed strikes at Jamie's face and landing several shots as she climbs to her feet and then picks him up... for a powerbomb against the turnbuckle post! Jamie collapses in a bundle, losing control as Ruthann stumbles away, nursing her damaged limb.
She makes it to the other corner, and is lining up Jamie for a running something when two pairs of hands grab her legs from outside of the ring, tripping her onto her face! Ruthann writhes around in anger, and aims a kick at the wrist of Tommy Love, who is a little slow to withdraw, having his bones ground against the corner post. Meanwhile, Maria - the other culprit - has sashayed off laughing, failing to account for the incoming blur of Ruthann's old friend Kokushibyō. Rhonda catches her coming around the next corner, grinning ear-to-ear in greeting before grabbing for her throat!
Maria screams and darts backward, walking right into Tommy Love, who tries to find out what she's running from. Maria just sort of gurgles in reply, and before she can regain her wits, Rhonda steps around the corner and exhales a massive cloud of black mist across the pair of them!
Back in the ring, Jamie and Ruthann have both recovered, and trade strikes - a battle Ruthless Aggression is clearly winning - before Jamie goes for another armbar, tilt-a-whirling around the larger woman's body before spinning out into it, taking her down-- whereon she escapes, instantly, hurling him like a baseball across the ring with a massive torsion of her powerful frame. He rolls heels over head, and she gives chase like a hunter-seeker missile, dropping both feet into his skull, then hauling him upright for an emphatic bulldog out of the corner! The crowd explode as Ruthann maintains control, muscling Jamie into position for her Widow's Peak! Nightmare!
Martinez: Ruthann Hunter is fighting with everything she has in this one.
Loydson: This win, you can tell it would mean everything to her.
The excitement falls short, as Jamie manages to reverse, using incredible core strength to lift his small frame up and over, falling across Ruthann's shoulders in an improvised Lou Thesz Press, trying to lay in the punches that follow but getting bucked clean off. He rolls and skids out of the ring as Ruthann straightens up, tossing her hair and throwing a smirk the boy's way, half-rueful and half in simple respect. On the outside, he's meanwhile shocked to see the downed forms of his father and Maria, groaning in pain and rubbing at their mist-drenched eyes.
Capitalising on the confusion, Ruthann takes flight, vaulting the top rope and straightening out in mid-air to catch the Love Child with a Huracanrana that drives him across Tommy's agonized body. Both of them freak out mutually at the contact, pushing each other back, Jamie with both hands, Tommy with one as he continues to paw at his eyes with the other. He staggers to his feet and is immediately floored by Ruth, who wastes no time in giving him a big boot straight to the face! She stalks on through with the momentum, drawing a thumb across her throat as she closes on Jamie.
The diminutive man is on his feet a moment later, but only to his opponent's benefit; she smashes a front kick into his gut, then grabs him by the hair and uses her full body weight to twist and biel him against the barricade, holding on to do it a second time off the apron! Laughing, she pulls him up for a third taste of punishment, shifting him high into the air above her and spinning through three hundred and sixty degrees before she sits out and drops him onto his butt and spine on the outside! Jamie cries out in pain, and flops onto his side, clawing toward the apron.
Ruthann isn't inclined to let him get far, stepping on his compacted spine and then on his wrist as he tries to pull something out from under the ring. Wagging her finger, 'no, no, no', she shows off an impressive vertical leap, getting both knees under her tall frame as she plummets in to drive them like pointed jackhammers into the lower back. She rolls clear as Jamie arches his body in a convulsion of agony, and while he recovers she starts hunting around for toys, hauling from underneath the ring a table stacked with steel chairs and a few spools of barb wire.
She's still deciding what to use when Jamie manages to find his feet, cutting her off with a running forearm smash, following up with a spin into a dynamic enziguri as she pops right back to her own feet! Sprawling out on his arms to catch himself, Jamie jerks to all fours and then seizes one of the chairs off the pile, wrapping it in a spool of wire with little regard for his own safety. He has several cuts on his arms as he lifts the chair and brings it down on Ruthann! Once, twice, thrice!!
The back of Ruthann's shirt is torn, blood visible trickling from beyond as she pushes to her feet with an impudent determination, catching the chair as Jamie goes for a fourth massive swing, and ripping it from his hands. She jams the end of it into his gut, then lines the chair up beneath his chin and drives him backwards, using the pressure on his throat to force him against the barricade and KEEP ON FORCING, the wire barbs slicing through the flesh in his neck. Jamie grabs at the end of the chair to alleviate the pressure, cutting his hands up more in the process, and gets enough clearance to sit down and roll against Ruthann's legs, his own legs scissoring hers to take her down. The chair crashes down atop the pair of them as he struggles for top control, his bloodied hands shaking as he fights for a kimura!
He gets it, but Ruthann's not quitting! With tight little screams to voice the pain she's trying furiously not to submit to, the Hall of Famer uses her superior size and strength to push against the barricade with her legs and contort her body sideways, getting her long arm up and around to bring sharp elbows down against Jamie's shoulder joint. It takes a few strikes, before she staggers him enough to work some separation, pushing him away from her and sliding to her feet.
They end up facing one another, both gasping, both in pain, but Jamie acts first. He lunges in, missing a retaliatory grab from Ruthann to slam stiff kicks into the back of her knees, driving her to one of them. She sees what's coming, and perfectly times a rake across the eyes, then a firm uppercut to the throat that garners a strained choking noise from her opponent. Jamie's tough, though; he reacts by forcing himself into a spin, the tip of his elbow arcing through the rotation to connect with pinpoint precision against the Hall of Famer's temple! She's down!
Loydson: Jamie Love has the best chance he's had all match to put this one away and leave her with another win over a Hall Of Famer.
Martinez: Ruthann is fighting tooth and nail, but Jamie might want the win just a little bit more.
Eyes wide, Jamie starts to pull Ruthann toward the ring. His action hastens further as he looks around and sees the decidedly mean stare of Rhonda penetrating him as Ruth's friend starks to stride around the ring to reach him. Acting fast, he hauls Ruthann up with main strength, shaking all over from the effort, then bundles her in under the bottom rope. He slides a couple of chairs in after her, then gets in there himself, narrowly avoiding the clutches of the other woman - who makes a grab for his ankle regardless. Jamie sticks his tongue out at her.
Ruthann is beginning to stir, so Jamie picks her up for a brisk swinging neckbreaker, dropping an elbow across her midsection for good measure. Pushing onto all fours, he scurries over to one of the chairs and proceeds to set it up, before dumping Ruthann into it like a sack of potatoes. Her limbs flop to either side, and he looks to ringside, making eye contact with Sara. His girlfriend nods hurriedly, and dives under the ring to emerge with a coil of rope, which she tosses up to Jamie. Smiling, he uses it to tie Ruthann to the chair. A moment later, another object flies into the ring, sliding up against his foot; it's a claw hammer. A ripple of uncertainty runs through the crowd.
The smile becoming a sick grin to rival Ruth's own, Jamie brings the hammer down over her tied hands, smashing into the Hall of Famer's fingers with brutal determination. Her teeth grit as she curtails a scream, staring him down with eyes enraged and chest heaving, daring him to do it again. He brings the hammer up high, and drops his whole body weight down as he obliges. Ruthann lets out the beginning of a scream, then bites it off with a snarl, spitting a mouthful of slightly bloody phlegm at her smaller opponent. He wipes it off his cheek, disgusted, and darts forward angrily, trying to cleave the hammer claw-first into Ruth's face! She ducks her head to one side, and the haft of the hammer bounces off her collarbone instead as she locks her ankles around Jamie's waist and yanks him toward her! He falls forward, and her head collides with his, with a sickening thud!
Jamie's legs turn to jelly, and he about collapses onto Ruthann, who is giving her own sick grin as she looks at the crowd and then sinks her teeth deeply into Love's NECK, biting deep enough he screams in pain before she whips her head to one side, ripping out a thick chunk of flesh! Blood gushes from the wound over Ruthann, as the pair of them all backwards, his weight toppling the chair as he falls momentarily limp in a swoon of pain.
Still tied up, Ruthann can't do much but lie there as Jamie rolls off of her and gets slowly to his feet, face pale and neck crimson, the blood dripping down his torso to stain the mat as he gets first to his knees and then stands, wobbling noticeably. He shakes his head ferociously, denying the pain, making eye contact once again with Sara, who presses her hands to her heart and then extends them out to him. Emboldened by the gesture, Jamie snaps back to action, kicking Ruthann's chair onto its side and then turning her over using her arms, her knees pressed against the floor and held in place by the age of the chair as he rocks it up away from the mat and presses a foot to the back of her head! EAT THE MAT! Releasing Ruthann's arms, he lets the extra weight of the steel chair carry the bound-and-tied Ruthann face forward into the mat! Her face bounces back, the whites of her eyes visible as they roll back into her head and she slumps forward beneath the chair.
Suddenly, Rhonda slides into the ring, making a dive toward Ruth and the ropes binding her! Jamie tries to cut her off, but eats a straight fist between the eyes, and then a searing buzzsaw roundhouse kick that spins him from his feet into a crashing touchdown, a tangle of limbs as he hits the mat. Ruthann's mentor makes quick work of untying her, pulling her to her feet and then turning back toward Jamie, who climbs to his feet with his face a mask of fury.
Both women both to surround him, and Love baits another strike from Rhonda, seizing her by the wrist and falling backward, getting a foot into her midsection and flipping her up into Ruthann! The pair go down together, at least having the prescence of mind and teamwork to separate so Rhonda can slide to the outside and Ruthann can slide to her feet. She presses in on Jamie immediately, but he's ready for her; ducking an attempted big boot, then hitting a drop toe hold that causes her to crash down awkwardly, the braced leg over-extended and tangling up beneath her.
It's a smart move; Ruthann is in pain almost immediately, and fights to free her twisted limb. Jamie is right there to help her, snarling smugly as he uses the feigned assist to turn Ruthann over and sit back into THE LOVE LOCK! He DRAGS her into the middle of the ring before he sits back, in the process pulling her face through the wire-wrapped chair from earlier, the hooks digging into her skin and opening several nasty furrows. Sitting back into his hold, Jamie arches his neck and grits his teeth up at the arena lights, putting every ounce of his being into the move...
Ruthann fights, clawing toward the ropes, but shockingly can't move the Love Child! He drags her forward a little more just because he can, deepens the hold even further--
--and, with blood dripping down his small frame, looking like absolute shit--
--Jamie Love is suddenly fighting for control as Ruthann Hunter fights back like a demoness! Inch by inch she claws her way across the canvas, gets one hand onto the bottom rope and then the other. Jamie is wide-eyed, sweating, panicking, and then he's falling forward as Ruthann uses the ropes for leverage to twist and throw him aside with her aching, strained legs. He struggles to rise, and though she seems unable to stand, Ruthann shoves off from the ropes and dives at him across the mat. One hand flies out and presses into the gaping wound in Jamie's neck, her fingers digging in with a cruelty unmatched! Ruthann pulls herself up on her explorative, blood-soaked digits, and Jamie lets out a blood-curdling scream at the purity of pain he experiences...
Ruthann looks at him, eye-to-eye, and asks him to quit as she digs her fingers in even deeper.
Jamie struggles, desperate not to pass out, and then he does the only thing he can.

Chriqui: And your winner, via submission in 21:35... "RUTHLESS AGGRESSION" RUTHANN HUNTER!!!
Ruthann got what she came for. She releases Jamie, but in the process gives her fingers one last twist that finally cause the diminutive grappler to pass out, his eyes rolling into his head. Sara lets out a pained scream and starts climbing into the ring, coming through face-to-face with Ruthless Aggression, who gives her a playful finger wave with her bloody fingers. "Hi," she singsongs, before slamming a kick straight to the gut, and turning Jamie's girlfriend up and around to hit her with the Nightmare! The Widow's Peak leaves poor Sara out like a light, and Ruthann laughs breezily, throwing up her arms and turning around to receive the crowd's appreciation. They give it gladly, and pop anew as Rhonda slides into the ring to join her friend. They pose in the flash of cameras as, on the outside, Tommy Love once again questions the accident of Jamie's birth.
Martinez: She's a Hall of Famer for a reason. Nobody's as violent, nobody's as unrelenting, nobody's as hard to submit as Ruthless Aggression. Jamie asked for his match, and he got what he asked for; as did his girlfriend. Still, gotta respect the gumption of the lad, Phil!
Loydson: That you do. Jamie pulled out all the stops, brought his entire family in with him, and he wrestled a hell of a match. Any lesser competitor would have tapped out in the Love Lock.

B.O.R.T II Wild Card Match - Fatal Four Way - 30 Minute Time Limit
REF: Mike Michaelson
The hot crowd begin to chant for their favorites to come in this fatal four way match.
Martinez: Stick with us folks, as now we move into our next match. It's all up for grabs now, as we orchestrate what should be a wonderfully-violent fatal fiveway contest, with a vacant spot in the B.O.R.T. at stake! Winterborn, Moxie, Raven, and the debuting Morgan Payne, all have every reason to fight their hardest tonight.
Loydson: Don't look away, people, you won't wanna miss a second of this one.
Chriqui: The following match is a fatal fourway wildcard match, with a thirty minute time limit. Introducing first, from the City of Angels, weighing one hundred and twenty five pounds, she is the Beautiful Psychopath ... AUTUMN RAVEN!!!
The tron plays a scene of the Hollywood walk of fame going by slowly, the shadow of a raven seen over each and every star that’s there. As you hear the lyrics ‘Your stars burned out for good, somewhere in Hollywood’, the shadow flies into the one star without a name, writing out Autumn’s name on it, the star turning to a dingy, grungy picture with graffiti written all over it.
As the first part of the song starts up, Autumn appears from backstage, slowly walking out, coming to a stop at the top of the ramp as she surveys the crowd with a cold smirk on her face. She stands there for a minute before making her way down the ramp slowly, walking once around the ring before sliding under the bottom rope and hopping to her feet, making her way to the corner to climb to the top ringpost. She flings her arms out to the side, laughing at the crowd.
Chriqui: From The Burgh, weighing in at one hundred and forty pounds... MORGAN PAYNE!!!
♫THANK YOU FOR HATING ME!♫
The lights to the arena go out and immediately switch to gold strobe lights as Citizen Soldier's "Thank You For Hating Me" suddenly blasts on through the speakers. There's a mixed reaction from the fans as "BEHOLD THE KINGDOM" flashes across the screen, signaling the start of her tron video. Morgan Payne finally emerges from the tunnel, arms spreading out to the sides to soak in the hate or adoration of the audience, whichever it is they want to throw her way. After feeling satisfied, she approaches the ring with a purpose in her step. She keeps her focus locked on the ring, disregarding any attention from the fans as she runs up onto the apron and promptly steps over the middle rope, into the ring.
From there, Morgan makes a beeline right over to her opponent and gets right up in their face, starting with some trash talk that can't be heard over the music. If anyone can read lips, it's obvious there's some clear cut profanity thrown in there. Finally, she backs up to her corner, removing her hoodie vest and tossing it outside, waiting for the match to start.
Martinez: She's here to do her darkest, most violent best! Autumn Raven is ever the dark horse this season, but she could easily surprise us all here tonight.
Loydson: Hey, I like this new girl. Tough as old leather. Payne? Here's hoping she can cause some!
Chriqui: From London, England, weighing in at two hundred and two pounds... MOXIE!!!
The Gracious Few's 'Honest Man' hits the speakers, prompting the lights to dance around the arena with an ominous red glow. Moxie emerges from behind the curtain. He marches to the end of the stage and glares at the capacity crowd surrounding him. Raising his fist to his jaw, Moxie lets out a roar and walks down the aisle, ignoring the paying spectators.
He slides underneath the bottom rope and rises to his feet in the middle of the ring. Moxie faces the crowd before snapping back to face the camera, emphatically raising both clenched fists high above his head before slowly descending them in stereo to both sides of his jaw.
Red spotlights hit the stage, as Phoenix Winterborn's video comes up on the tron.
Chriqui: From Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at two hundred and twenty three pounds... PHOENIX WINTERBORN!!!
The chorus of the song kicks in, as Phoenix throws back the hood of his sleeveless jacket, pointing out towards the crowd, who is in the midst of raucous cheers for him. Marissa Davidson appears by his side, resting a hand on his shoulder, her other hand running through her hair as the duo make their way towards the ring, interacting with the fans scattered along the rampway. As Phoenix hops up onto the apron, he waits for Marissa to climb the ringside steps before sitting on the middle rope to let her in, before rolling in himself and running towards the opposite turnbuckle, throwing him arms out for the crowd while his music dies down.
Martinez: You talked about tough, partner, how about Moxie? He came within a whisker of being the Undisputed Champion at WrestleFest, but despite a shocking upset by the man named Mercenary, we're still looking at a man who could easily win this whole thing!
Loydson: I don't know about easily, at the very least he's gonna have to clip the wings of the Phoenix, fresh off a defeat by Ace King and raring to get back into this competition.
DING DING DING
Autumn Raven and Morgan Payne haven't stopped staring at one another, and the two women start things off by charging into an immediate hockey fight, slamming crunching punches into each other's skulls! The crowd goes wild, as Morgan escalates off a seemingly missed strike, grabbing the back of Raven's head and driving her into a knee! FUCK YA FACE! She may be a debut, but she looks sublimely confident as she struts to the ropes and points out to the crowd, yelling, "Bing Bong!" A few scattered replies set her to grinning, and she darts back into center-ring--
--right into Phoenix Winterborn! The former champ spins into a backhand, then seizes a headlock and brings Payne crashing headfirst into the mat with the Light of the Apocalypse, garnering a solid pop and then a second of equal size as Morgan shoves herself immediately upright, jaw set and stare furious as she goes head-to-head with Winterborn! He smiles in return, ducking his forehead against hers, pushing her off-balance, then catching her with a beautiful twisting suplex!
Surging to his feet, Phoenix looks to bask in the cheers for a second, but Moxie is having none of it, driving a forearm across his back, then pulling him up into a furious European uppercut, smashing the taste out of his mouth as he takes control of an arm and whips Phoenix toward the ropes. The violent speedster drops low, entering a baseball slide evasion, but Moxie has it scouted and simply, savagely kicks him right in the bridge of the nose, before dropping and starting to work the fingers, sneering cruelly as he uses wrist control to start bending back the fragile digits...
Martinez: Moxie knows how to bend your fingers to the point of breaking, but not quite break them. He's a master at this joint manipulation.
Loydson: It's a skill sadists learn to inflict as much damage as possible without actually taking the opponent out of the match, because you need them in the match to inflict more pain.
The former Rookie of the Year doesn't quite get what he wanted; courtesy of the boot-stomping reintroduction of one Morgan Payne. Perhaps keen to claim that title for herself, she washes his face with her bootstrings, then sits back, dropping a leg across his throat. This allows Winterborn to wriggle free, rolling to the outside as the two vicious-minded youngsters start tearing into each other, Moxie shoving Morgan back into a roll of her own, before diving in like a pouncing tiger, smashing her with another European uppercut, then a knee to the gut, before seizing an arm and dropping her right into the canvas, holding onto HER fingers now! Just keen to see this level of violence, the Tokyo crowd reacts explosively, starting a duelling chant between the relative rookies.
Payne grits her teeth as her fingers bend, and bend, then slaps at her shoulder, managing to alleviate the pressure enough to roll through, and drive the heel of her boot right into Moxie's mouth. His head bounces off the canvas, and she picks at his ankle, straddling his leg as she fights to lock it up. Showing great ring awareness, he manages to use the ropes to assist in standing, hopping on the captured limb. Payne scowls at him, and swings out into a Dragonscrew legwhip, reaping Moxie onto his side. He starts to rise, and she's stalking him...
Ready to slam forward with a Shotei palmstrike, unleashing a BATTLE HOWL as she does so, spinning Mox from his feet and into a dramatic collision with the canvas. She turns to the crowd, dragging a thumb across her throat as she looks for her other competition.
Autumn and Phoenix are brawling on the outside, going back and forth with escalating strikes, each with a grin on their lips and mutual respect setting aflame the violence in their eyes as they graduate to DDTs and suplexes. Raven bounces the former champ's head off the ring steps, and he rises to his feet, shaky and bleeding, only to launch her clean THROUGH the barricade with a snapdragon suplex that sends her into the front row! She crashes onto a pile of chairs as the crowd clear out hastily, and is barely halfway to her feet when Phoenix comes screaming over the fallen barricade, up and over into an insanely-athletic inverted 450! Flight of the Phoenix!
The two friends are down in tangle of limbs, and manage to rise almost as one, finding their knees in the wreckage... only to be immediately, mutually wiped out by a vigorous suicide dive from Morgan Payne! Morg lands on her feet, grabs a double handful of hair, and pulls Raven and Winterborn together again, slamming them head-to-head and leaving both down as she heads back toward the ring.
Moxie hasn't been sleeping, and comes out of nowhere, driving a flying knee to the chest as he vaults off the corner of the ring. Morgan is sent stumbling, barely catching herself with an arm on the barricade, and the hellion from London just blazes on into ther flank, hooking her up for his patented X-Plex and LAUNCHING her back toward the ring with a mean purpose! Moxie's Crash Landing! Payne is inverted back-first against the unforgiving edge of the apron, screaming in pain as she falls! Moxie gives her a shove, sending her rolling back into the ring...
Loydson: This one could be over here!
Martinez: But look out!
Before the former Rumble winner can pursue his opponent inside, he's grabbed from behind by a recovering Winterborn, who spins him around and then performs his own tightly-angled spin, driving a solid heel to the midsection and stumbling Moxie off the edge of the apron. His own back in a world of pain now, Moxie falls to his knees! Winterborn has him framed and ready, but POW! From left field comes Autumn Raven with the Claw of the Night! Her superkick lifts Phoenix up and over, and then she's grinning, licking her lips as she looks out over the crowd. She takes her time in retrieving a chair from the other side of the fallen barricade, not heeding the warning of the official as she holds it in front of her, looking between her two targets.
The crowd bubbles in excitement as Morgan Payne steps up to the ropes with a serious case of RBF, staring down at Autumn for a beat before she hauls herself up and over the top rope, falling toward Earth before snapping out a beautiful aerial side kick that drives the seat of the steel chair right back into the Beautiful Psychopath, busting her open! Raven falls to one side, gasping, her own blood trickling into her mouth to her seeming delight. Morgan looks disgusted with her, jamming a solid kick into her lower ribs before turning her attention to the other two.
Winterborn and Moxie are both halfway to their feet, sharing a glance before they decide to mutually do something about Payne. Moxie shoots for a double-leg, as Phoenix hops onto the apron, grabs the ropes and looks over his shoulder, performing a HIGH moonsault that sends him crashing down on Morgan as Moxie rolls aside. Payne eats both collisions like a champ, but she's down for the moment, as Moxie pulls Autumn Raven upright and Phoenix nurses his ribs from the impact.
Moxie smells the blood pouring from the Beautiful Psychopath and decides he wants to make it worse. Proving he knows a thing or two about her moniker, he scores with an arm wringer, working her fingers as part and parcel of the hold, driving her to her knees with chopping kicks to the calf. She's snarling and gasping, torn between enjoying the pain and attempting to escape, but Moxie's technical acumen is hard to argue with, his manipulation of her digits keeping her somewhere south of ecstasy as he pulls back each slender-boned finger in turn.
Meanwhile, Payne and Winterborn stand using each other for support, trading a couple of half-hearted blows before each of them decides to dart for a ring simultaneously. They slide in together and come up fighting, Morg brawling him into the corner where she hits a stiff, knife edged chop, then hurls Phoenix onto the mat. From there she hits the ropes running, and as Winterborn starts to struggle back upright, BAM! Yoi Yoi Double Yoi! She finishes up with a damning basement dropkick!
From the outside, there's a pure and perfect SCREAM as Moxie finally claims a victim. Autumn Raven's fingers break with a stomach-churning crunch, and she lets out a howl, her back arched and neck curved, the blood pitter-pattering down from her forehead. It's a picture worthy of a t-shirt, for what comfort that's worth to the chaotic woman. Moxie is GRINNING, a death's head of destruction as he releases her to slither to the floor in quivering pain, stepping back toward the ring.
Distracted by all this, Morgan has failed to capitalise on Winterborn's predicament, and the former HBO Champion hits her crisply with the Reign of Fire, his three spinning heelkicks landing flush, and letting him flow straight into a cover, hooking the leg!

Payne was offguard, and she doesn't kick out before Moxie makes the save, determined to secure his own spot, hauling Phoenix off by two handfuls of hair, picking him up before powerbombing him into the canvas. He immediately turns to Morgan, berating her with crossface blows as he takes a seat on her back, trying to stretch her out with a chinlock only to be thrown clear as she fights back with sheer grit, then comes in with a sliding lariat, before assuming mount and raining bow punches and elbows! She gets carried away, snarling and spitting, and fails to mark Winterborn's reintroduction. He pulls her off and right up into a Falcon Arrow, planting her in the middle of the ring!
Moxie is battered but clambers to his feet, ducking an attempted superkick by the former champ, then making quick work of tying him into MOXIE'S ENDGAME! The reverse STO culmination leaves Winterborn seemingly DOWN and OUT! Before Moxie can capitalise, however, he's swept from his feet by Payne, who chop blocks him down then hits the ropes running to catch his attempt to rise with an emphatic slingblade! He gets up again, and she CHARGES into his midsection, rearing back for a haymaker--
--that Moxie blocks with a down-scything elbow. Payne staggers, and he spits right in her eye, then aims a shot at the spot she targeted herself; WHAM right into the liver! Morgan Payne looks sick as she drops to the canvas. Autumn Raven rolls back into the ring!
Barking a callous laugh, Moxie ties her up much as he did Phoenix. Pumphandle lift, drop, reverse STO! With absolute authority, he plants her with another Moxie's Endgame, and makes the cover.

Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall over Autumn Raven in 25:32... MOXIE!!!
In the aftermath of the carnage, there's a moment of uncertainty before the Tokyo crowd decides to react in pure appreciation of the violence they've just witnessed. Two bloody faces, a set of shattered fingers, a slew of finishers, and a devastating takedown of Autumn Raven that leaves no doubt as to the victor. Moxie is on his feet, grinding a fist into his jaw and sneering at the crowd as he stalks around the outside, a caged animal whose arm the official has to fight to raise. When he does, there's a pop through the arena. Moxie's a rough, tough customer, but the crowd is here for the kind of fight he provides.
Martinez: Oh. My. God! Autumn Raven left it all out there, and Moxie just didn't care. He dealt with her and Winterborn both like he was taking out the trash. Like a man who could finish up the B.O.R.T. and be gunning for Killjoy Ito! I think we're all thinking it; welcome back, Moxie!
Loydson: A tough bastard with a tough field to beat. He dealt with a veteran face here on Rampage in Autumn Raven, our recent HBO Champion in Phoenix Winterborn, and a determined and furious Morgan Payne who, you're damn right, left nothing to chance here tonight. These competitors all brought their A-game, and showed what they're capable of. They'll have scars from this one for sure.

The crowd begins to chant out for Jason Hunter and Mercenary, they know the next match.
Martinez: We've got one more match before our commercial break. It's Jason Hunter taking on Mercenary.
Loydson: This could be a brutal match.
Chriqui: The following match, set for one fall, is a Quarter Final Match in the Battle Of Rampage Tournament! Introducing first residing in San Francisco, California and weighing in at 170 pounds... JASON HUNTER!!!
Soldier- Neffex comes over the speaker as Diana and Sara came out first as they stood on the stage with Jason with his back to the crowd and hood over his head. Sara slides the hood off his head as Diana walks ahead of them. Sara and Jason play to the fans a bit dancing to the music while Diana walks down the ramp. Diana holds the rope for them to get in while Sara and Jason get in-ring and she slides his jacket off him before leaving the ring with him glaring at the person warming up in the corner looking very serious to fight.
Dropkick Murphys The Gauntlet blasts over the PA. A flashing red strobe lights the stage as the rest of the room goes dark.
The Mercenary
Mercenary swaggers out onto the stage with his face hidden behind a hard tactical mask painted to look like The Punisher's iconic skull logo. His eyes inside the mask scan the crowd. He crosses both arms, gloved fists clenched, across his chest and under his chin. The pose resembles a skull and crossbones. To either side of him the stage explodes in motes of red and orange flame. The fans sing along as the song comes to its chorus:
Stand Up and FIGHT!
And I'll Stand Up with you.
We shall succeed.
STAND UP AND FIGHT!
AND I'LL STAND UP WITH YOU!
We shall succeed.
STAND UP AND FIGHT!
AND I'LL STAND UP WITH YOU!
Removing the mask the big man salutes the crowd and stalks towards the ring at a steady pace filled with menace and a deadly purpose he climbs between the ropes and walks to the corner where he throws a few shadow punch combos at the turnbuckle before turning with his back to the corner, his arms crossed again across his chest to glower in his opponent's direction and wait for the bell to give him the sign to come out swinging.

As Friday Night Rampage returns from the commercial break, the crowd politely cheers as they see HBO Broadcast Champion Ace King sitting on a production crate, his championship wrapped around his waist and a small drawstring bag in his hand.

Ace King: To be clear, that shouldn’t be taken as me overlooking you in any way. Have I had a few breaks go my way over the years? Sure… I’m The Gambler, after all… but let me make one thing crystal goddamn clear: I didn’t get to this point because of any kind of spiritual influence, or any kind of corporate push, or a horseshoe, or a rabbit’s foot, or…
Ace pulls on the drawstring to open up the bag, pulling out a pair of Omamari designed in green and gold.
Ace King: …Lucky talismans of any designation… I got here organically because I’m damn good at what I do. I got here because I’ve ALWAYS been willing to put in the work when nobody else is watching… and I also didn’t get here by just making blind assumptions.
The HBO Broadcast Champion runs the Omamari over his fingers, a hint of a smile crossing his face.
Ace King: It’s almost funny that you don’t think I’ve got the mental capability to handle the challenge you pose given the stipulations hanging over my head, because it’s almost like you’re so concerned with your spirits that you aren’t paying attention to what’s happening in the real world. I could offer you a full CV of ways you’ve missed on this assessment, but in the interest of time, let me boil it down to the most relevant, pertinent point for this current situation: I. Am. Here. To. Win. Plain and simple.
Ace slides off the crate and lands on his feet, still playing with the Omamari.
Ace King: I’m a competitor first and foremost, and I’m not a fan of incentivizing losing, so as far as I’m concerned, my road is as clear as it gets: Continue on and fulfill my personal mission to reaffirm my place as the Best of Rampage and one of this brand's leaders, and if you think you’re stopping me from taking the next step?
The HBO Broadcast Champion stops playing with the Omamari, instead gripping it tightly in his hand.
Ace King: …Good luck with that.
The HBO Broadcast Champion neatly tucks the Omamari back into the drawstring bag, then hands it off to a nearby production assistant as he heads off toward the gorilla position.
MATCH SEVEN
Tanja Devereaux VS Ace King
B.O.R.T II Quarter Finals Match - HBO Broadcast Championship - Special Singles Match - 60 Minute Time Limit
REF: Toyo Yasahiro
Martinez: Well, folks, after yet another eventful Friday Night Rampage, we’ve finally arrived at our two title matches, starting with this HBO Broadcast Championship tilt as Ace King tries to secure a second consecutive defence!
Loydson: The stakes are only getting higher and higher from here, as a spot in the BORT Final Four awaits.
Martinez: Right you are, Phil, and as of a few minutes ago, we know that whoever emerges from what’s sure to be a brutal encounter will next match up with Moxie to not only defend the HBO Broadcast Championship, but also with the aim of securing a trip to Yokohama to stake a claim to being the Best of Rampage.
Loydson: Could that setup have been any fucking longer? Let’s get this going.
As if the production truck is reading Loydson’s mind, the camera cuts to Emmanuelle Chriqui standing in the ring, microphone in hand.
Chriqui: Ladies and gentlemen, this next match is a BEST OF RAMPAGE TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINAL WITH A 1-HOUR TIME LIMIT… and it is for the HBO BROADCAST CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
The Tokyo crowd remains respectful in its applause for the upcoming match, though the audience snaps to attention as ‘Daughters of Darkness’ by Halestorm plays, accompanied by visuals of bustling crowds in various locations of New Orleans as the challenger emerges from behind the curtain.
Chriqui: Introducing first… FROM New Orleans, Louisiana, weighing in AT 115 pounds… She is The Cajun Queen… TANJAAAA DEEEEEVERRRREAAAAUUUXXX!!!
The crowd is decidedly split as Devereaux appears, with a style similar to Gail Kim during her early time in TNA. ‘The Cajun Queen’ heads down the ramp with some of her black leather coat flowing at her feet, paying little mind to the crowd reaction as she slaps a few hands at ringside.
Martinez: It’s no secret that Tanja Devereaux’s got herself a significant opportunity tonight, and the first golden one, at that.
Loydson: It’s never a smart thing to cross the ones who can summon spirits, Javier, but whether or not the Cajun Queen can manifest the spirit she showed in getting past Autumn Raven will go a long way toward dictating the outcome.
Tanja walks up towards the ring and enters beneath the bottom rope and jumps onto the middle turnbuckle. She poses as she does her usual taunt with a hand and arm in the air as "Daughters of Darkness" continues to play. Tanja steps off the turnbuckle as she removes the leather coat and throws it into a random corner.
‘Daughters of Darkness’ fades out, leaving Tanja alone in the ring with her thoughts a bit longer than usual before…
"THE ACE OF SPADES! THE ACE OF SPADES!!!"
The signature Motorhead anthem rips through the Meiji Jingu Stadium, and the crowd mostly cheers, though there are a few dissenters. As the drums kick in, pyro goes off up and down the ramp. Once the guitars hit, a plume of fire goes up on either side of the ramp as Ace King rises to the stage from a platform, looking out at the crowd and nodding in appreciation.
Chriqui: AAAAAAND her opponent, FROM Las Vegas, Nevada, weighing in at 235 pounds... He is the HBO Broadcast Champion... THE GAMBLER... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGGGGGG!!!
A thin smile crosses Ace's face as his weathered eyes look out at the crowd, pausing for a few more seconds on the platform before casually making his way down the ramp toward the ring, his arms outstretched for fans on either side of the barricade.
Martinez: Well, it’s hard to argue with just how much Ace King has spelled out his desire to compete in this tournament, and you have to wonder if the twists and turns Ace has endured in the early stages of the BORT might have lit a fuse beneath one of Rampage’s most legendary competitors.
Loydson: The man sure laid it on thick, didn’t he? I swear, he can’t fucking stop himself sometimes. I mean, why would he not want to fail upward? He’s in a tournament competing for something he’d earn later, when he could have it now just by losing!
Martinez: He made it clear that everything from before was put to bed, and that competition would rule the night, so let’s find out.
He stops a few steps short of the ring, then dives in under the bottom rope as gold pyro explodes off each turnbuckle. Ace spins up to one knee, then takes another appreciative look out at the crowd before getting back to his feet and handing his championship off to fan favourite referee Toyo Yasahiro, then turning his attention to Devereaux with his game face firmly on.
DING DING DING
Neither competitor wastes any time getting immediately into the thick of things, exchanging nasty strikes with the bell still ringing. Eventually, Ace is able to push Devereaux away, but as he goes to follow up with a Clothesline, Devereaux anchors her arms into the top rope and uses the leverage to land a boot to the face of the HBO Broadcast Champion to send him staggering backward into the middle of the ring!
Devereaux looks to take advantage with a Roundhouse Kick, but the Champion slides under the swung leg and gets her into a fireman’s carry, being sure to twist on the prone ankle before rapidly spinning her around as he floors her with a Spinning Argentine Powerbomb! Ace goes for the cover, but Yasahiro’s barely down to the mat before Devereaux kicks out.
Martinez: How about THAT for a start? Trust me, this is just a taste of what’s to come as both competitors know the significance of this match!
Loydson: It’s been wild and crazy to open, but the one who finds an almost humble monk level of calm later on will wind up with the inside track, and I think Tanja’s the type who could drive that fucking Ace just crazy enough to open the door.
Martinez: Certainly, a lot was said on both sides leading into this encounter, but now, it’s about settling it in the ring. A bit of an unseen wrinkle there with Ace going after Tanja’s left ankle in setting the Powerbomb up, so we’ll see if it’s a sign of things to come.
Ace slowly gets back up to his feet after the pinfall attempt, only for Devereaux to have sprung up first! Pushing off her right leg, The Cajun Queen leaps up, then connects with a flawless Tornado DDT to drop Ace right on the spot! Tanja continues on the offensive, as she slips outside the ropes with Ace in a prone position before leaping over… SLINGSHOT DDT DRIVES ACE INTO THE MAT! Devereaux drops into the cover…
ONE!
.
.
.
TW- Ace gets the shoulder up just as Yasahiro’s hand is about to strike for the second time; the Champion pushes Devereaux off the top of him so he can collect his wits.
Martinez: He’s surely not surprised by this in the least, but if there was any doubt before, Ace King knows he’s in a fight here against Tanja Devereaux.
Loydson: And he’s on the wrong side of it right now as Devereaux’s driven him into the mat twice now! How will the guy who’s been here so long respond?
Ace tries to shake off the cobwebs from the consecutive DDT’s, but Devereaux is almost immediately back on the offensive while looking to lock into position for an STO Backbreaker, only for Ace to stand his ground! He reverses the attempt, then lifts her up into the air, holding her in position for a few extra seconds before dropping her with a Vertical Suplex! As the crowd gets excited, Ace maintains the grip and hoists Devereaux up again… AND CONNECTS WITH A SECOND VERTICAL SUPLEX!
Martinez: He’s halfway to it! Four of a Kind, on the way!
Loydson: I hope the fucker busts.
‘The Gambler’ again maintains the grip on Devereaux to hoist her up, allowing him to hit a THIRD Vertical Suplex! Ace holds up his index finger for the crowd to count along, but as he goes to hoist Devereaux for the fourth time, The Wicked Witch of the Bayou blocks it and sweeps Ace’s legs out from underneath him before pulling him into a Bridging Triangle Arm Choke Hold!
Martinez: Tanja Devereaux’s summoning something new here tonight, wanting to pull out ALL the stops!
Loydson: That something is the Wheel of Fortune, and she’s certainly wanting to leave here with a significant prize!
There’s a buzz in the crowd as Devereaux locks the Wheel of Fortune in on Ace, with Devereaux using her lengthy frame to create as much leverage as possible with the hold locked in tight! ‘The Gambler’ flails wildly as he tries to get out of the hold, eventually working his body around so he can get a foot on the bottom rope, forcing Devereaux to break the hold!
Martinez: Wow, that whole sequence was impressive! I thought we were going to have a new HBO Broadcast Champion there for a second, but the wherewithal of the current champion to know where he was to break that… That’s what’s made him so hard to beat over the years.
Loydson: …Aaaaand now this match continues. Hooray.
The two combatants slowly get to their feet, with Ace trying to catch his breath and Tanja trying to get a bit more feeling back into her ankle. Sensing Devereaux’s relative immobility, Ace connects on a series of kicks to Devereaux’s left leg, knocking her off-balance and allowing Ace to get her up on his shoulders! However, before he can start spinning into Eye in the Sky, Devereaux works her way around his head… AND DROPS HIM WITH ANOTHER TORNADO DDT!
The crowd pops for the reversal, but Devereaux stays on the offensive, using her right foot as a plant foot to hit the downed Ace with a Roundhouse Kick!
Martinez: This might be the biggest moment of Tanja Devereaux’s career here! She’s got Ace King on the ropes!
Loydson: KNOCK THAT FUCKING PRICK OFF!
With Ace down, Tanja breathes heavily and looks to the heavens before hobbling over and snatching Ace’s foot and wrapping herself around his leg to trap it! The Bayou St. John is in! However, Tanja grimaces as she uses her left leg to try and apply pressure on Ace’s knee… AND CAN’T HOLD IT! Ace breaks free of the hold, then quickly gets to his feet and snatches Devereaux’s prone left leg, then twists her legs up to lock in the House of Cards!
Martinez: This could spell Doom for Devereaux, folks! Ace has been working that left leg and ankle throughout the match, and now an opportunity has presented itself.
Loydson: I might hate the sonofabitch, but even I have to say this is brilliant. If Tanja’s got anything left, she has to summon it now!
‘The Gambler’ gets the Standing Inverted Cloverleaf cinched in tight, with Tanja pressing her palms to the mat to try and take some of the pain away! However, Ace starts to spin her around in the middle of the ring, then drops into a Sitout position with the hold still in place! ‘The Cajun Queen’ continues to push defiantly, but with nowhere to go, she has no choice but to tap out!
DING DING DING
Chriqui: Your winner, by submission at 49:00, and STILL the HBO BROADCAST CHAMPION… THE GAMBLER... ACE… KIIIIIIIINGGGGGG!!!
‘Ace of Spades’ plays again as Ace immediately releases the hold, giving Devereaux a pat on the back as a sign of respect before slowly getting to his feet, clearly tired as Yasahiro returns the HBO Broadcast Championship to him.
Martinez: That gesture probably says it better than I ever could, but that was a gutsy performance on both sides, and even though Ace King ultimately got the job done to advance in the Best of Rampage Tournament, he knows he’s just been in a hell of a fight.
Loydson: It has to be said that Tanja Devereaux looked downright dominant at times, and she brought everything she had to this one.
Martinez: Indeed she did, but in the end, ‘The Gambler’ pulled out all the stops to pick up the win!
‘The Gambler’ continues to celebrate with the HBO Broadcast Championship while still catching his breath as the feed cuts to...

Lavender VS Darna Dare
B.O.R.T II Quarter Finals Match - US Championship - Special Singles Match - 60 Minute Time Limit
REF: Toyo Yasahiro
We return to ringside where a clearly exhausted, but ever-professional Toyo Yasahiro is standing by to officiate. The atmosphere is electric; there's change in the air.
Martinez: And finally, we are here! This is your main event of the evening!
Loydson: And have we got a main event for you, Tokyo. Two of the best and brightest on Rampage, two champions - one former, one current - who are gonna tear each other up if it means leaving this the victor.
Chriqui: The following match is a special single match, with a sixty minute time limit, and is for the EWC United States Championship! Introducing first, weighing in at one hundred and thirty two pounds... LAVENDER!!!
The lights go out as 'Imaginary' by Evanescence begins to play. The lights flash in time to the guitar riff. The song kicks into its first verse as smoke billows from behind the curtains and a spotlight shined down upon the center of the stage. When the chorus kicks in the lights come back on and out walks Lavender. She looks out across the crowd as the crowd erupts into cheer. A smile creeps across her face as she embraces their warm welcome.
Lavender begins to make her way down to the ring. As Lavender reaches ringside she walks over to the steel steps, walks up them and enters the ring before climbing the nearest turnbuckle and holding her arms up high in the air. Lavender steps down from the turnbuckle and waits for the match to commence.
Martinez: What a year Lavender's had. She's not undefeated, but among her accomplishments she beat sixteen other competitors to prevail in the Hellevator at StrangleMania.
Loydson: Damn straight. She will throw you off a freaking building if she has to. She's a former champ for a reason; like our own Grizzly Duggan said, Lavender is the "real deal".
The lights dim across the arena, lazy coils of thick, gray smoke beginning to ooze out across the entrance-way...
Announcer: And her opponent, from Sugbu, Philippines, weighing in at one hundred and thirteen pounds ... she is the EWC United States Champion ... DARNA! DAAARE!!!
As the beat drops, sparks fly and a halo of fire rages into life around the top of the ramp. A figure rises into view beyond the flames, small and hooded, back to the audience. Arms corded with whip-like muscle raise to either side, and then in a sudden, explosive blur of motion, the diminutive woman rolls into a corkscrew backflip, landing in a three-point crouch facing the ring. Flipping back her hood, Darna rises and strides forward in rhythm with the music, the US title bouncing against her hips, nonchalantly raising a hand to offer a fist-bump to whomever wishes to take it.
When they do, she shoots them a crooked smile, and takes off toward the ring, diving through the ropes into a tight roll, coming up balanced upon her hands, spine curved dramatically and legs extended, toes pointed in line with her determined glare. A few scuttling hand-steps are taken in this bizarre signature pose, before she thrusts her feet forward and flips to standing, rising in a distorted gymnast's salute. The beat begins to drop again, and in perfect tandem with her own figure on the screen, the flexible exorcista rips into a series of cartwheels and flips, rolling with enviable ease from one corner to another, ending her routine perched upon the turnbuckle.
A devilish grin goes out to the gathered fans, Darna points forward with both, wiry arms, and then arches back, hands reaching the canvas and assisting her in twisting to her feet already in position for a flamboyant bow to the opposing corner. Her eyes are hungry, her breathing deep and controlled as she slowly removes her championship belt for the contest ahead, handing it off to ringside before dancing into her corner, shifting her weight from foot-to-foot.
Martinez: It's been a meteoric rise for Darna Dare, from a debut victory against Phoenix Winterborn to a shocking win over Hall of Famer Dominic Sanders, and then a 57-minute classic against our own Queen, Melody Malone!
Loydson: It may be her debut year, but Darna's got talent in spades. Gotta say, I think she's in for a meteoric fall tonight, but it won't be for lack of trying.
DING DING DING
Darna licks her lips nervously as the bell rings, betraying her humanity as she starts to circle Lavender. The challenger shows no hint of her prior wallflower self; she's all business, stepping in to ask for the lock-up, which the champion obliges by stepping in HARD, refusing to let herself be intimidated by the size or experience advantage. Lavender immediately snaps into the advantage with a snug arm drag, beckoning for Darna to bring it in again as she pops back to her own feet, her stare measured and steely.
Dare grins as she steps back in, evading the next lock-up by slithering clean under Lavender's pale-skinned arm, stepping through into a spinning heel kick that catches Lavender atop the head from behind, whipping her into the canvas! Lavender tucks her shoulder in and comes up in a roll, shaking off the cobwebs, puffing out her cheeks as she exhales, and barely recovering in time to dodge the incoming bullet of Darna Dare, who rushes right into a corkscrew crossbody!
Darna misses, but lands beautifully on her feet, rearing back into a mule kick that catches Lavender in the gut. She turns into a leap, landing atop the other woman, posturing there for a moment with her arms out. The showboating costs her; Lavender straightens with a snap, forcing Darna into a backflip to save herself from falling. The former Television Champion is quick in her own right, and catches Dare in mid-air with a thunderous front dropkick that sends the much smaller woman back into the turnbuckle! Darna lands hard, and Lavender runs in, showing she can fly too as she catches her with the Poetry In Motion!
Martinez: Very close match in the early goings here.
Loydson: Both women fighting hard for The United States Championship, and that B.O.R.T II spot.
Lavender wisely slides to the outside, using the opening to catch a breath rather than push herself or take an unlikely pinfall attempt. Darna picks herself up, wary eyes - one hazel, one blue - regarding the woman on the outside as she stalks the ropes, feinting a vault a couple of times to very little reaction from Lavender. In fact, the other woman just smiles at her; she's seen these tricks. Darna grins anew, then shrugs happily and breaks into a sprint, pinballing off the middle rope on the opposite side to hit a plancha suicida--
--right into the barricade! She's rattled, as Lavender steps aside and assists her with a light shove, spinning around ready to go as Darna lands on her feet, but clearly dazed. The barricade wobbles and falls from the impact, and the crowd cheers on principle! The US Champion throws them a furtive smirk, in the instant before Lavender's boot finds her gut, and she's scooped up and over for a Michinoku Driver onto the fallen barricade, landing with a messy crunch!
Darna fights back as Lavender tries to pick her up again, driving an elbow to the midsection, then seizing onto an arm and pulling out into a wristlock. She sinks down low, forcing the taller Lavender to her level, showing off her flexibility and surprising reach as she whips a Bronze Scorpion Kick up over the top to catch the crown of the challenger's head! Lavender doesn't appear too devastated by the blow, but it's enough to let Darna take her down, spinning up onto her arm and taking her down into the rubble with a crucifix hold! It's a good technique; maybe it would be worth more if Darna didn't become suddenly aware of the count being applied, releasing the hold to squirm back toward the ring and dive under the bottom rope to break the count.
Left behind, Lavender takes her time in returning, sparing a brief high-five for a young girl at ringside before sliding under the bottom rope herself.
Loydson: Lavender is for the fans... but she needs to be for winning this match more!
Martinez: Never a bad time to give some love to those who buy your merch I suppose.
Lavender straightens up right into a storm of strikes, as little Darna EXPLODES against her, throwing a wild flurry of open palms against the larger woman's torso and then spinning into a scything hook kick that misses by inches as Lavender leans back, then stumbles into the corner to escape the champion's fury. Darna keeps on coming, throwing herself into a crazily whirring rolling wheel kick, slamming Lavender against the turnbuckle! Rebounding, Darna comes up with both her arms pointing down the line, aiming to follow up with a shotgun dropkick!
Lavender moves at the last instant, and Dare almost flies straight over the corner post to the outside! Showing catlike agility, she recovers by catching a hand on the post, swinging back onto the apron where she lands right into the sole of Lavender's boot as she runs at the ropes and throws a kick over the top! With Darna briefly stunned, Lavender brings her in the hard way with an arching butterfly suplex, holding on to float right over into the cover...

KICKOUT!
Darna kicks out and is right back to her feet, wobbling as she finds her balance, meeting Lavender with a penetrating stare as the other woman surges right back in. They come forehead to forehead, muttering a few unheard words to one another before separating to trade strikes. A chopping low kick from Darna is answered by a stiff backhand chop from Lavender. A leaping forearm by Darna cleaves down into Lavender's chest, and Lavender stumbles back before replying with a high kick to the temple. Darna crumples to one knee, and Lavender hits the ropes, surging in with--
--something, that Darna merrily weaves away from, the technique never culminating as Lavender hits the ropes one more time, then ducks a single-legged dropkick from Darna and catches her out of the air with a smoothly-improvised DDT that shakes the entire ring!
Rather than make the cover again, Lavender retreats to the corner where she leans, catching her breath.
Martinez: This match is running long, and now endurance and stamina training will be key.
Loydson: I think both these women have large gas tanks, but I'd be willing to investigate myself.
Darna comes up ready to go, her eyes wide as she realises Lavender is nowhere near, firing a distinctly suspicious expression at the other woman. She beckons her on, and Lavender just raises her arms before offering the same gesture in turn. Dare bites down on her lip, cutting off an amused smirk at this, and then gives a couple of assenting nods and darts forward into a sprint, ever-reckless and ever-keen to keep the fight going.
Lavender spins out of the corner, attempting to catch the back of Darna's head and drive her into the turnbuckle, but Dare grabs her wrist and executes an insanely tight backflip, all but winding around the other woman's arm, before falling back to launch her with a foot against the midsection. Lavender throws out an arm to catch herself, landing in a three-point crouch. Darna comes on again, and is practically tackled out of her boots, launched six feet back into the corner where she strikes the post backfirst. Her small form convulses, but she rolls on with it, flipping to a handstand that carries her onto the corner post. She doesn't even glance over her shoulder; she goes from facing the crowd to whirring into a crossbody that wipes Lavender out!
Darna rolls through, though, giving herself too much momentum to capitalise with a cover, and on finding her feet she's met by another boot to the gut and a big ol' Tiger Bomb that inverts the crazed gymnast before planting her clean in the middle of the ring! Lavender hesitates before making the cover, and Darna starts to rise almost immediately, making it to all fours--
--where she finds her arm seized, and suddenly she's victim to a Magistral Cradle!

KICKOUT!
Loydson: WHAT A KICKOUT!
Martinez: I thought that was three!
Dare is starting to look worried, her eyes wide as saucers as she kicks out of the pinning predicament, then tries to reverse it, spinning to sweep Lavender's legs from under her as the other woman attempts to rise, then wrenching her into a schoolgirl! Lavender reverses it, manages to get underneath Darna and scoop her up across her shoulders, to which the champion, throwing wild hands, replies by twisting and contorting until she's sat on top. She falls forward, sweeping Lavender into a prawn hold!

KICKOUT!
It's not even that close. Lavender remains intense but unharrassed as she throws Darna clear and rises to her feet, flicking out her wrists and ankles, trying to stay limber and focused in the final innings of the match. Darna has the hint of a pout now as she stares at her, clearly trying to solve a puzzle that remains beyond her, unable to keep her offense going for any length of time. She remains in a squat for a few moments, watching Lavender stalk her before bouncing onto her heels. The challenger steps in, and Darna goes for broke, attempting to explode directly into the Kalabaw Hunting Horn, a single step sending her rearing up explosively, her knee driving for the jaw!
Lavender knows what's coming. Even with so little warning, she's able to bridge backward, and Darna flies out over her, twisting mid-air to keep her eyes on Lavender as she turns and lands on all fours. Lavender bridges back out and to her feet, exploding into a kick of her own that Darna slides under with equal explosivity, letting out a battle howl as she hits the ropes, perhaps going for her vaunted finisher one last time. Lavender times it perfectly, cutting off Darna before her diminutive form is done bursting off the ropes, meeting her off-center with the AMITY AFFLICTION! Lavender sits out as she delivers the brutal spinebuster, right in the middle of the ring.
For the first time, there's emotion on Lavender's face, almost panicking as she hears the crowd burble into a caterwaul of noise, bundling the US Champion into the cover.

THREE!!!
DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall in 50:00, and your NEW EWC United States Champion ... LAVENDER!!!
If she emotional before, now Lavender's breath has caught in her throat and she's fanning herself as she pulls back from the cover, her fingers twitching and her chest practically palpitating as her heart explodes in her chest. She's only halfway to her feet by the time Toyo Yasahiro is alongside her with the belt, helping Lavender to her feet with an arm hurled into the air and the title held out beside her. Meiji Jingu showers her in adulation, chanting her name, and the initials, "EWC!" Lavender doesn't bother trying to stop the tears, she lets them fall as she accepts the belt around her waist and bows, Japanese-style, to every side of the crowd. They only cheer her louder, her name driving past the roof of the arena into the stars over Tokyo.
Lavender takes her time to bask, but she has one more thing to do. One last thing she promised. She turns back toward Darna Dare... and finds the former champion already staring at her, on her feet. Lavender starts to step forward and then pauses as Darna drops to her knees in front of her, bowing her head all the way to the canvas to another burst of appreciation from the nearly-exhausted crowd. Lavender looks at the title around her waist, emphatically shakes her head, and bends down to PULL Darna to her feet, taking one of the Filipino's hands in both her own and pumping her digits in a show of mutual respect that gets the loudest expulsion yet!
The noise is immense. There's a choking sound from Darna, and she's crying too, turning after the handshake to throw Lavender's arm as high in the air as she possibly can.
Martinez: You. Love. To. See it! Lavender put on an absolute clinic out there against a woman who's been incredibly hard to beat since she strapped on her boots on Friday Night Rampage, and now this sign of respect between them! I think I'm going to cry, Phil!
Loydson: Pansy. Darna Dare never comes to mess around; she's fast, violent, and capable out there, but despite all her efforts and all the improvements we've seen her make, Lavender finally accomplishes her dream and does exactly what she set out to do. Lavender not only advances in the B.O.R.T., she's our new United States Champion! I don't know when to expect the rematch, but I'm damn sure there will be one. Can't wait, Martinez.
Martinez: Thank you everyone for watching Friday Night Rampage. We'll see you next time!
Camera fades to black as Lavender raises her championship...
