“With what you've experienced your life is going to change. You have been told the truth about who you are... about what you are. And now that you know we can begin to make you what you were meant to be.
When Sinister spoke there was no empathy in his voice or pity in his words.
With the many black straps of a small fetish whip he lashed her across her bare midsection. Dalilah found the harsh feeling of rough leather against her exposed flesh cathartic. There was nothing erotic in the way that Sinister delivered the pain. There was no ulterior motive or meaning. It was simply a way to demonstrate how much she could tolerate and to teach her how much more she would one day be able to endure.
"There’s pain and rage inside you, and they’re rising like a storm. You can either let me train you to embrace the whirlwind, or you can give up and give in to the temptation of the tempest. You can survive and let the trauma make you stronger, or you can go find another hole to die in. And I doubt Michael will be there to save you a second time.”
Dalilah’s body was pulled tight to the smooth, polished surface of The Rack. The shackles that chained her in place bit into her hands and ankles. Her eyes stared straight ahead. And though she listened intently to the words that he was saying, inside her head a much darker voice screamed for blood as three other voices screamed for mercy.
Dalilah took silent pleasure in Noel’s demise. That bitch had been a fractured soul inside her mind. In her greatest moment of need They had let her down. Much like the woman she’d thought of as a sister, the mother whom she’d never really known. The woman who a lonely and desperate child's mind had turned into a sainted figure. But now the false idol had fallen silent.
But Sinestro continued to speak:
“From now on you will embrace the One Voice inside you. You will let Her be your guide. You will wear The Creature's face and show the world what real horror looks like. Do you understand Dalilah?”
Dalilah lowered her head to hide her growing grin. She knew Sinister hated to see her smile.
“Yes Ingeniero, I understand and I'm ready to listen. I'm ready to learn. We are ready to understand.”
The End... AND... The New Beginning
