Brief Explanation of Character's Gimmick: An aging wrestler who's ego and pride resulted in regret and guilt for the things she did and didn't do. She's returned looking for one last chance at redemption and on the biggest stage professional wrestling has to offer. She enters EWC a much more humble person than she was when she left it....
In-Ring Strengths:
Fiercely strong, she can bench 400 lbs and can toss men larger than herself.
High pain threshold.
Pain feeds into her adrenaline, making her even stronger and more aggressive.
Fast reflexes.
Still light on her feet for her age.
Double Jointed Shoulders: Can dislocate either shoulder at will to escape holds. Often slams whichever shoulder she dislocates back into place on a wall, post, or other hard surface. It is extremely painful for her to do.
In-Ring Flaws:
Old injuries: left Wrist, and neck, which can be exploited as weak points in submissions.
Doesn't move as fast as she used to be, resulting in the change of her style to be more strength oriented.
Is at a disadvantage when not allowed a warm up before a fight: While still formidable foe, if she doesn't prep, she's at a disadvantage. Assume she's prepped if she's looking for a fight, however.
Thin Blooded: She bleeds easy and often in volume when wounded. Even if it gives her a momentary rush when wounded, she tends to lose pints if allowed to go untreated for too long.

She then turns and runs to the opposite side, arms out at her sides as she shouts "COME ON!!!!" to the fans, working them up just a little bit more. She then hops down, pulls the vest off and tosses it down, crouching low in her corner and waiting...

With a running start towards an opponent, her foe swings or kicks, Mel drops to her knees, sliding while bending backwards passed her opponent. She then hops up with a flex of her legs, ready to do damage. Often opens up for a Shot through the Heart or the Rebel Star Slayer.

Any variation of Diamond Cutter. Can double as a match finish as it was her original finisher for most of her career.

Mel gets in super close to an opponent and showcases her reflexes by dodging and weaving an opponent's oncoming strikes, making it look easy. This can be a setup for SttH or RSS.
6. Fireball
A classic Flash paper Fireball that Mel busts out as little magic trick that often results in her opponent's having singed eyebrows. It's not common but it's something she'll bust out for special occasions involving no rules kinds of matches.

Melinda Rhodes has returned from a long hiatus from EWC to redeem herself. A long time wrestling veteran, she has been in the business since she was 19 years old and while she's had many impressive matches in her career, she has always possessed a bit of an ego about her abilities, often overestimating herself in big game matches, thus why her accolades are few. Overtime as reality began to collide with her fantasy, she eventually found her delusion of being an elite wrestler broken when the facts outweighed the lies she told herself. Now, she is a woman filled with regrets and driven by a need to overcome the past with a rapidly diminishing future. At her age, few women are in any condition to wrestle, but she's managed to keep herself strong and fit and is perhaps in the best physical shape of her life. Knowing her time is finite and the body can only go so far, she makes her final hurrah as a competitor in professional wrestling here, in EWC.
