Aiello: Hello and welcome to the four hundred and thirteenth edition of Monday Night Brawl. I can't even believe I'm uttering those words right now. Damn it's good to be back and to be where it all began here in Winnipeg.
Piven: Joe, I never thought I'd be sitting next to you ever again and yet here we are.. over a year later, and it feels like we never even left. It's hard to not get emotional right now, this return is something the fans only dreamed and wished for. And here it is.. a reality.
Aiello: The EWC to me is something so very special. Think about it Jeremy, there is eighteen years of history behind this federation. Eighteen years of excitement and turmoil. Good and bad. The EWC has always done it's own thing, the way they felt they should do it.. and it's worked. For eighteen years it has worked.
Piven: It's true Joe. There are some naysayers out there.. some complete nut jobs on twitter who have gone on to lay a beat down of words on the EWC and on President Mac. Is it deserved though? With President Mac leaving us in 2013.. he had to have known that some backlash would be expected right?
Aiello: For sure. Look.. President Mac is not a stupid man. In 2013 he left the EWC and the EWC closed shortly after. Did he look like a jerk? Yes.. but did he own up to it? Yes. So while some backlash was expected, the twitter hate from one single handler in the entire universe means very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very little to anyone inside this building
Piven: So are you saying.. that one single twitter handler.. the ONLY person in the entire world to have a public beef with the EWC and President Mac.. was wrong in what he said and did?
Aiello: If he is over the age of thirteen years... then yes. The his rant was about as ridiculous as Shadow Man's sick obsession with Taco's. Mac opened his heart to the roster and the public, he gave out every single answer we asked of him, and we all collectively forgave him and boom.. here we are
Piven: Yes, here we are. The episode Four Hundred and Thirteen baby! ... but JUST in case.. June 5th.. come see me in the all new Entourage Movie!
Aiello: Always looking to plug something aren't you?
Piven: ...like your hair?
The lights dim.
Aiello: What's this? Looks like we are getting som...
Piven: Damn it.. are we shutting down again already? .. JUNE 5th ENTOU..
The TitanTron flickers on.
The letters P R E S I D E N T M A C flash across the screen.
The thousands in attendance jump to there feet in excitement and start pounding there feet on the ground and clapping there hands creating the sound:
BoomBoom CLAP!
BoomBoom CLAP!
BoomBoom CLAP!
Coming Undone by Korn now begins to blast over the P.A
Pyros explode up and down the entrance Ramp and all around the entrance stage. Once the smoke begins to settle an old-style movie curtain parts at the top of the ramp. Two roving spotlights pan and fix on center. There, President Mac stands, head bowed in his signature sun glasses, arms out-stretched with clenched fists. And as the lyrics kick in, and the fans sing along, Mac clap-clap-stomps toward the ring, slapping hands.
At ringside, he takes off his "specs" and gives them to a young fan.
Mac pauses in front of the ring and stares out at the capacity crowed chanting his name, he smiles, soaking it all in.
Then he hops the top rope and stands half way up the turnbuckle, posing for the thousands of camera flashes all over the arena. Jessica Stroup who is ringside, tosses President Mac a mic
Mac: Hello Winnipeg
The cheers get even louder as the fans applaud and chant for there hometown hero
Mac: It's great to be back home.. it's great to be back in the ring.. and it sure as hell is great to be back in the E-W-C!
Fireworks go off from all four corners of the ring and the fans are at a fever pitch now
Mac: You know.. many people said the E-W-C was dead
Fans: FUCK THEM
Mac: Many .. well.. one person told me to go to hell
Fans: FUCK HIM
Mac: ...lets get real for a second though. In twenty-thirteen... I walked away from my job. I walked away from my employees. I walked away from my sponsors. And I walked away from each and every one of you. So from the bottom of my heart.. I am sorry.
The fans start to cheer as Mac is clearly getting emotional
Mac: When I look back over my year away from the EWC, nothing about my life was good. It was impossible for anything in my life to go right. Because when you commit a serious wrong doing.. when you screw over people.. when you leave a trail of shit behind you.. you can't properly move forward. You can't enjoy life. Friends.. that's what I did. I left you all behind.
Mac pauses, clearly struggling
Mac: I fucked up.. I really did. I thought at the time, in my irrational immature brain.. that the best thing for me to do.. was to walk away. I was an idiot. An absolute idiot. Who the hell just leaves? Who just abandons ship like that? Well.. sadly.. the man who started this company, the man who bleed this companies colours.. he left. I just up and fucking left. Like a coward. Like a stupid coward.
Mac drops his head down and wipes his eyes
Mac: I never meant to let down my employees. I never meant to upset my friends in that locker room. I never meant to piss off our sponsors .. and I sure as hell didn't mean to hurt all of you. I am here right now with a vow. It's the mother of all promises. For as long as I have a beating heart.. I will NEVER.. EVER.. EVER
The fans are back to screaming
Mac: ...EVER... leave you again. EVER! Because once you are E-W-C.. you are..
Fans: E-W-C FOR LIFE!!!!!
Mac: So once again, to all of you here in-front of me, to all the men and women in the locker room and to all the millions of fans watching this on tv or streaming this feed... I am very sorry, and it will never ever happen again. I love ALL of you very much. And from the bottom of my heart.. thank you for accepting me and the EWC back into your lives and homes.
The fans scream and chant again as President Mac wipes his eyes and waves to his adoring fans
Aiello: I don't think there is a dry eye in the house after that...
Piven: ...we will be right back after this
