Aiello: Hello and welcome to the four hundred and fourteenth edition of Monday Night Brawl.
Piven: Things are crazy here in Philly, the hometown of Madison Mitchell
Aiello: Madison's fans are in full force here tonight. We saw some earlier footage of Madison's parents talking with our very own President Mac, and they appear to be ringside for tonight's festivities.
Piven: Things got off to a rocking start here tonight with a match that you folks at home didn't get to see. We had a TRIPLE THREAT
match between JACOB QUINN. CHANCE KELLY and ALEX ANDERSON. It was quite the battle, especially between Quinn and Anderson who traded the majority of blows and teamed up many times against Chance Kelly
Aiello: In the end, it was Jacob Quinn who pulled off the incredible victory, by pinning Chance Kelly while Alex Anderson just missed out on getting the win himself.
Piven: Next week we will be heading to New York, which promises to be a very big show. I have it on good authority that next weeks opening match will be one for the ages. It will be.. somewhat of a battle.
Aiello: SPOILER ALERT Jeremy! Anyways, lets focus on tonight where we have an excellent show in store for you all.
Piven: One of the things I love happening right now in the EWC, something you don't see happen anywhere else.. is the Main Event. The Main Event is almost like a championship in it's own right
Aiello: That's true Jer, the way Mac has been booking the Main Event so far.. is that if you win the Main Event, you have earned the right... to STAY in the Main Event. So the question tonight is.. can Kingston keep the streak going?
Piven: The fact he has been able to perform and perform the way he has, is nothing short of amazing. Mac took a major chance on Kingston and it's paid off big time so far. Lets hope nothing bad happens to that neck of his tonight in what should be a very brutal match
Aiello: We also have some debuts tonight, which is always good.
Piven: I'm looking forward to seeing what Newman and Shooter bring to the table tonight. Both guys have been making a name for themselves behind the scenes.. I wonder what will happen when they finally step into the ring.
Aiello: We also have Shelley Silver making her debut tonight and she looks very promising. Madison will have her hands full tonight infront of her home crowd.
Piven: Home crowd means everything though. In any kind of sport, it's always an advantage. I'm also very impressed with Wellings, Storm and JC Styles, I expect to see them continue to impress here tonight and perhaps proving to be contenders moving forward.
The fans cheer loudly as the camera feed pans about, letting the fans in attendance gain a bit of treasured air time. Signs are waved and shirts are displayed, as the fans in attendance scream and show their support for the EWC. The upper deck of the arena is displayed now as thousands of fists pump in unison… and the lights suddenly dim down.
“I Stand Alone” by Godsmack begins to play now, causing the fans to stand to their feet and emit a chorus of jeers!
Joey Aiello: We know what that song means. Here comes the EWC General Manager.. Xplode. Last week, he really made his presence known.
Jeremy Piven: Agreed. Xplode instituted a more harsh brand of entertainment right from the start, and it was evident in the brutality of the matches for the entire night under his watch. Still, no one could argue with the results as the EWC would enjoy it’s highest rated show in years! Xplode truly is a man of his word and his presence as a GM is undeniable.
Joey Aiello: Let’s just hope that the company is able to survive his thirst for carnage!
Stepping unto the stage area, Xplode glances around the arena. He is dressed in a sharp grey suit. Nodding his head, he smiles as the fans really let him have it, tossing trash in his direction as they boo him loudly. He then makes his way down the ramp way and towards the ring, stopping just short of entering. Accepting a microphone, he ascends the metal steps and enters the ring, as his theme song continues to play.
Trash continues to be hurled in his direction, but Xplode continues to ignore it. Smiling, he taunts the fans by blowing a kissing their direction as the theme song fades out. The crowd response slowly fades out.. and Xplode speaks:
Xplode: Hell of a welcome tonight. I am impressed. It’s been a long time since I have been to Philly. I have to admit, I missed the atmosphere here. I mean, where in the world can you find a larger fan base that is SO used to failure?! I mean.. look at the Eagles. Are they not the biggest ball busters in the NFL?!
The fans begin to shout obscenities in his direction as Xplode laughs.
Xplode: Let’s not even get into the fact that your biggest claim to fame is an imaginary boxer who was more known for being punch drunk.. then for his in-ring talent. Rocky Balboa, fun stuff. I didn’t come out here to trade jabs with you all though. If you folks would shut your mouths for a second, I actually have important stuff to say..
The fans shout at him even louder now, displaying their displeasure!
Xplode: Okay, now that we have that out of that way, let’s continue. When I walked out to this ring last week, I promised that as the General Manager of the EWC, I would take this place to new heights. Like always, I have kept my word. Brawl brought in record ratings like never before under my leadership, and this week looks to be more of the same. Promotions around the globe have noticed us again.. and they should. You see, the EWC is back. We are back, and the world is on notice from this day on. We WILL be the top promotion in the industry once again.. THE VERY STANDARD FOR OTHERS TO LOOK TOWARDS! MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT…. THIS IS THE DAMN GOLDEN AGE OF WRESTLING ONCE MORE!!!
The fans now shift to a hail of cheers as Xplode paces the ring, his posture leaning to a more aggressive tone.
Xplode: Now, there are people in the locker room who aren’t quite aboard with my way of doing business.. and that is okay. They will come around, or they will find themselves unemployed. The first order of business for me is to establish Brawl is as the premier show for the company, and with that being said, I am suspending all future HCW programming for the foreseeable future. Brawl is where the big boys will play… for now.
The fans begin to chant: “HCW! HCW! HCW!”
Xplode: That’s cute. Moving forward, as some of you have noticed last week, I had a hand in who won the main event. There was a message that was meant to be sent by my actions in doing that. That message was not that I gave a crap about whether Charlie Feigel wins or not.. regardless of the rumors. I have read the things that are being said on the internet about why I got involved and none of them are true. I am not a man of mystery.. so let me spell it out to you all. I walked out there to simply show that I will reward ANY EWC superstar who is willing to cross the line to achieve greatness in that ring. Any person in that locker room who will sacrifice it all in the name of being great will be rewarded. Charlie Feigel pushed the envelope and showed his brutal tendencies.. and the ratings poured in due to it. THAT.. is how we run a show around here. THAT… is a future champion.
The crowd boos once more.
Xplode: Make no mistake about. We will be doing business my way. We WILL be number one in the world once again and to get there, we will have to push the boundaries of this sport. So this message goes out to the locker room. Make your presence known and do it loudly. Impress me.. and you will be rewarded. That’s it.. plain and simple. The Era of the X.. is here.
Xplode’s theme song begins to play loudly as he tosses the microphone over his shoulder. Exiting the ring, he makes his way up the ramp way as the fans boo loudly.
Joey Aiello: The GM has spoken.
Jeremy Piven: I like how he does business. He achieves results.. you can’t argue with that.
Joey Aiello: Still.. at what cost?
Xplode exits to the backstage area.. as the feed fades out.
BACKSTAGE
The scene begins with the camera looking down a very long hallway. You wonder why the image starts there until he can see a figure making his way down the hall. As the figure gets closer, you can start to make out that it’s none other than Kurt Newman. As Kurt gets closer, you can see that he’s in a panic and scared out of his mind. You quickly see why as a large pack of angry midgets follow Kurt. Kurt runs up to the camera and pulls it into a nearby room. Kurt quickly slams the door shut and barricades himself against the door as Kurt breathes in deeply. Suddenly, the sounds of tiny fist banging against the door can be heard. Catching his breath, Kurt looks into the camera with a slight smile on his face.
Kurt Newman: “Little buggers have been running after me now for an hour straight. I’ve been trying to lose them but they’re so close to the ground I think they’ve smelled my scent, just like a dog. But it’s so cute how they run with those stubby little legs.”
(Off Screen) Chris Constantine: “What the hell Kurt!”
~The camera pans over so that it can get an image of Kurt and Chris Constantine. Chris looks at Kurt with disbelief as he sits behind a desk.
Kurt Newman: “Hey kiddies! It’s Chris Constantine! Manager for Kurt Newman and all around swell guy! How’s it going man?”
Chris Constantine: “I was doing just fine until you barged in. Who the hell is behind the door?”
Kurt Newman: “Nothing.”
Kurt loses control for a minute as the door opens up wide enough that a small hand can be seen coming into the room. Kurt quickly bends over and bites the hand. The arm quickly disappears behind the door, giving Kurt the opportunity to slam it shut. Still barricading it with his body, Kurt looks back at Chris who’s not to happy.
Kurt Newman: “So you know that midget convention that was going on across the street at that hotel? Well I went over because…..you know……midgets make me laugh. Well I got a little bit too excited as I walked in and declared myself the King Of The Lollipop Guild. Then I started to toss some of the girl midgets to find myself a Queen……because that’s how the King Of The Lollipop finds his Queen……anyways one of them didn’t like that too much and she bit me. By the way, can you get AIDS from midget bights?”
Chris looks stupefied by now as he slowly replies to Kurt.
Chris Constantine: “No.”
Kurt Newman: “That’s what I thought. Anyways, I superkicked that chick in the face. Well the rest of the midgets didn’t like that too much, so they ran after me. So here I am.”
Chris rubs his eyes and looks super annoyed as he evaluates the situation at hand.
Chris Constantine: “This is a PR nightmare Kurt.”
Kurt Newman: “Oh come on! You’ve handled worse than this. Remember that one time in Hong Kong when I tried to get through customs with that rare bird up my ass?”
Chris Constantine: “That bird never was able to look you in the face after that.”
Kurt Newman: “Yeah, I miss Johnny Clash also. Oh hey! Since I got you, I want to start a tag team here in EWC!”
Chris Constantine: “What! Why? I thought you wanted a shot at the World Title.”
Kurt Newman: “Yeah, so does everyone else here in EWC. I’ve won plenty of titles in my wrestling career but I haven’t won Tag Team Gold for a very long time and there’s a huge market in EWC for a tag team. I mean the Tag Team Titles are just dangling there just waiting to be picked up!”
Chris Constantine: “Ok……so you want me to call up one of the boys from Chicago? I’m sure Jack Tillman or Andrew Wilkow would be more than happy to team with you.”
Kurt Newman: “Nah, EWC has enough talent at the moment. Try to get one of the guys on the roster to team up with me.”
Chris Constantine: “Alright, well give me a week and I’ll try to wrangle up some people.”
Kurt Newman: “Sounds good. Now I have to get ready for my match. I need to get rid of these midgets though. You have a squirt bottle of some sort?”
Chris Constantine: “Ummmm, yeah sure. Give me a second.”
Chris opens up a drawer and goes through it until he finds a squirt bottle.
Kurt Newman: “Perfect! Now toss it here!”
Chris obliges and tosses the squirt bottle over to Kurt who catches it. With the squirt bottle in hand, Kurt quickly opens up the door and begins to squirt all the midgets with it. The midgets hiss and scream as the water lands on them. Out of fear, the entire pack runs away down the hall and out of site. With a cocky grin on his face, Kurt twirls the squirt gun in his hand and watches with joy as the midgets run away.
Kurt Newman: “I do the same thing with my dog when he humps a chick’s leg.”
Kurt tosses the water bottle back to Chris. Kurt quickly makes his way over to his locker room to get ready for his match. The camera slowly pans over to Chris who has his hands covering his head.
Chris Constantine: “You get used to it after a while.”
