PRE-SHOW COUNTDOWN
The EwC video package plays as suddenly we open up to a small room. In the back is a wall of barbwire fence with a small monitor hanging from it, there is a small archway with a curtain hanging from it as Colin Hanks emerges from it with a stack of papers and approaches a podium with the EWC logo as he looks excited and begins to speak at the camera.
Colin Hanks: Hello EwC fans welcome to the free Night of Champions 8 pre show, we are just minutes away from the PPV, if you want to order it, get on the phone, call your local cable provider, if you got Digital Cable or Satellite, click the PPV button and buy it, or order online at www.ewc4life.com. Its going to be a great show, tonight we get to see possibly one of the most long awaited matches in the history of the EwC as Hurricane Jeff, the EwC Undisputed takes on the undefeated Shadow Man...
The monitor clicks on to static as the camera seems to zoom into the monitor as it eventually fills up the entire screen as a Tale of the Tape shows both competitors and there stats, this is then followed by dramatic rivalry music as various clips play of Shadow Man and Hurricane Jeff in the ring as well as clips from there promo's as it ends with a slow motion clip of Hurricane Jeff tossing up his title.
Colin Hanks: Of course that match is only tonight on PPV and may just prove to be one of if not the greatest match in EWC history. Not only that, it is rumoured that The Force, consisting of Shadow Man and Jackal will have something to address tonight, god only knows what this will mean for the EwC. Its not only Brawl matches too, lets not forget the first ever EwC Phoenix Timebomb Match between the X-Division champion and his nemesis, Namok. Now these two have had an ongoing feud on FN'R with Namok getting two shots at the X-Division title but falling short each time, but with Dookie Long in his corner at the request of Nunez, can we see Namok finally get the gold? Also if nothing else, I am sure me and the rest of the EWC fans will just enjoy watching Dookie Long get his ass beat.
The camera zooms in on the monitor again as another tale of the tape shows Namok and Jesse Nunez as more dramatic rivalry music is played as clips of the two's ongoing rivalry is played. It turns off on Nunez holding up his title as suddenly the show cuts to backstage as a live marker is shown in the right hand upper corner. We see a bar as suddenly Dookie Long rises up as if doing a pull up and with surprising ease. He holds himself up and looks at the camera.
Dookie: Haha, EWC fans, Nunez, I wan't to make it clear that tonight, me and Namok will not lose, I have been training by butt off to make sure I am ready for this match and Nunez, I want you to know that you will not walk away with the title tonight because now not only is Dookie strong...but Dookie is tough.
Dookie stares angrily into the camera as someone off in the distance yells cut and the camera zooms out to reveal Dookie is being held up by Namok and Angel.
Dookie: Well I am glad that worked, I think I’m going to go grab a ...what...the camera's still no...sunnuva..
The camera turns off as we cut back to Colin Hanks laughing.
Colin Hanks: Well thats Dookie long for you, well folks I’m going to have to be leaving as we are merely a minute or two away from EWC PPV action, good night folks and I hope to see you at Night of Champions...
Colin winks at the camera as he walks behind the curtain and the lights dim. It cuts to a video package showing stats for the rest of the matches for the night then fades to black.
