Preshow Count down to One Night Encounter
[img src="[http://www.sinkcombs.com/projects/arena/mts/project1_03.jpg"]
The scene opens up to a shot outside the MTS center in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.. The clock down clock is shown in the corner with 30min before the second Monday Night Brawl PPV goes on the air. Then the camera goes inside the arena where fans are coming into the building and standing there is EWC’s own, Collin Hanks.
Colin Hanks: Welcome to the One Night Encounter pre show count down. We are just thirty minutes away from the beginning of a history making night. Tonight, We have Four titles on the line and one of them being held inside a Hell in a Cell. Its going to be off the hook tonight. Jesse Nunez defending his title against BDC. Lets take a look at how this match came about.
Clips are shown from Stranglemania, Jesse Nunez hits his finisher on Moses and he goes crashing through the cage thought a table. Jesse reaches for the belt and BDC is there to attack Nunez and announce that he’s cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at Rumble in the Bronx. Fast Forward to Rumble in the Bronx, Jesse lifts BDC up in the Resurrection and he hits it and covers BDC and Jesse finally wins the Undisputed title. Fast forward to Brawl, BDC challenges Nunez to a title match. Fast forward to the match, clips are shown of the match, both guys beating each other up and then Retribution Inc shows up and beats up Nunez then Retribution Solution comes out to save Nunez and Max Carter comes out and announces the Match for One Night Encounter, Jesse Nunez Vs BDC inside a Hell in a Cell. The video ends with Nunez holding the title and looking at BDC.
Colin Hanks: I’ve been waiting to see this match since it was announced a month ago. So much hatred between these two men. There will be lots of blood I’m sure. This match alone is worth ordering this PPV. Another match we have is the North American Title match, Lance Fiennes defends against Heartless and Ricker. Two new guys to EWC getting an opportunity of a lifetime. A win by either Heartless or Ricker could change their career in EWC forever.
The clip goes back to May 28th, Monday Night Brawl, Mr. X Vs Lance Fiennes for the Vacant North American Title. Mr. X picks Fiennes up for a piledriver and hits it. Fiennes lays motionless. Mr. X then slowly climbs the ladder. Mr. X gets to the top. Mr. X fiddles around with the title, and then the ladder is tipping over. Fiennes is pushing the ladder over with his foot. Mr. X falls off the ladder, to the outside, going through the table. The fans can’t believe what they saw. Fiennes sets the ladder under the title, climbs it and gets the belt. The fans boo as Fiennes poses with the title. The scene then cuts to the last Monday Night Brawl, the Battle Royal where the winner would face Lance for the title at One Night Encounter. The clip shows both Heartless and Ricker going over the top rope hitting the ground at the same time and both men being announced as Number 1 contenders. The Video then cuts back to Colin Hanks.
Colin Hanks: What a huge opportunity here for Ricker and Heartless. A win by either man tonight may be the ticker to stardom in EWC. But if these two can hold their own against someone from Retribution Inc, then I can see big things from theses two. Will Lance try to get the win by himself or will get call on Retribution Inc to help. But keep in mind that the rest of Retribution Inc have huge matches tonight. But this is one match that you just don’t want to miss. And our next match will be Moses Lake defending his Hardcore title against Nate Broadway in what Moses likes to called a Concrete Cage match. Rules are simple, both men are in a room with a ref. The floor and walls are concrete and theres tons of weapons in the room. One thing for sure, It ain’t gonna be pretty.
A video shows Moses Lake after Rumble in the Brox without the title and watching Jesse Celebrate. Then the clip goes to Broadway beating Sean Ferguson for the Hardcore title. The clip then shows Max Carter announcing that Broadway will defend his newly won title against Moses and Sean in a Handicap match. Clips of the Hardcore match is shown and Moses Lake walks out the winner. Video then shows Nate wanting a rematch and then the video ends with Nate and Moses fighting.
Colin Hanks: If someone doesn’t get seriously hurt in this kind of match, I will be impressed. This is an interesting match up. Both these guys have a background in Mix Martial Arts and their in a Hardcore match. But being in an enclosed arena is nothing new for them. But one thing I’m betting on is someone isn’t walking out under their own power tonight. Next is the International title match. Joey Orsome defends against Sean “The Man” Ferguson.
The video shows a clip from Brawl in May where Sean Ferguson picks up a win over Joey Orsome. The clip then goes to Orsome beating Jay Cee for the International title. Clips of Sean and Joey fighting from tag matches on Brawl is shown and then the clip ends with Orsome holding the title in the air.
This match folks can go either way. Some people think Orsome will win, others think Sean will win. Its almost a coin toss. But who ever wins will have earned it. So many greats have held this title, one being Hurricane Jeff and he went on to win the Undisputed title. So maybe one of these two will go on to win the Undisputed title. And speaking of Hurricane Jeff, he will be taking on his childhood friend, the man he got into the business with, Dr. Matt.
The clip starts with a scene from the Hurricane Jeff DVD on when Hurricane Jeff and Dr. Matt met.
{Clip shows HJ’s elementary school}
HJ: I started going to elementary school when I was four. I was part of the first kindergarten class there. And it was there where I met what later became one of my best friends, Matt Cail, AKA, Dr. Matt.
{Clip of Matt}
Matt: When I first saw Jeff, I was like, man this kid is a dork. Joking.
HJ: Matt and me got along. He was a big nerd all though out high school. Probably the smartest kid I know.
Matt: Jeff played more with the girls than with the guys. Made me worry that he was girly. Joking. *Matt grins*
HJ: Girls would always fight over me and matt. We we’re Studs. It was fun.
Matt: I always got more women than Jeff.
HJ: As years went on, Matt got fruity. But oh well, he kept his hands out of my pockets so its all good.
Matt: But over look the girlyness that Jeff has, he’s a cool guy.
HJ: So all through school we been friends, but we only got closer as friends around grade ten.
Matt: I had no choice but to talk to him, I had no one else to talk to cause all my other friends graduated and Jeff seems to be the only normal one.
HJ: It was that time on the bus where me and matt got talking about wrestling and joking around, wouldn’t it be funny is someone made fun of the WWE with like hillbilly type characters.
Matt: We had a good laugh about that, just throwing out parody’s of wrestlers.
HJ: Then I got the idea, how about we start it I said. We can get people to be parodies of some of the WWE guys.
Matt: It sounded alright. So I got some stuff together. We came up with a bunch of characters and people to play these characters, and Jeff was in charge of the booking.
Jeff: With my knowledge of the business I figured it be best that I was the guy who put the shows together and set up the matches. And we didn’t want to be left out so I became a parody of the Hurricane, simply because I was a master of saying "WATSUPWITDAT"
Matt: Jeff was so annoying with that, not only did he say it all the time, but he sucked at it.
HJ: I would go around acting like The Hurricane and eventually called myself Hurricane Jeff and that’s how the name happened.
Matt: I decided to go with an original name, so Jeff came up for me, Da Mattster. Its suppose to sound like The Master, but Jeff thought putting Matt in it would be better.
Jeff: I can’t believe Matt liked that name. What a goof.
Matt: I never liked the name, so after a while, I changed it to Dr. Matt.
HJ: Now we had everything set, wrestlers and all. We now had our own Backyard fed.
Matt: UWF started out good. But eventually we noticed that what we we’re doing, we’d see the WWE doing to.
HJ: A few time, after we did a show, I’d be watching Monday Night Raw and I’d be seeing the same thing we we’re doing, such as finish of matches with the same guys as the parodies, and match types.
Matt: When that happen, I had to listen to Jeff whine about that.
HJ: We made our debut as a super hero group with tow other guys, and we called ourselves, The Super 4.
Matt: Of course Jeff made himself the star of the group.
HJ: I was the booker, so I made myself the big star.
Matt: Everything started good. Then we came up with a match that changed wrestling. The Hardcore in Hell match.
HJ: This match was designed to almost kill your opponent. Barbwire ropes, thumb tacks, flaming tables, glass tables. name it, it was there.
Matt: It was insane.
HJ: I won the first one, and then it eventually started a feud with Matt and Me.
Matt: After the Hardcore in Hell match, we came up with another kind of match.
Jeff: WWE had Smackdown Xtreme, so we wanted to make fun of it. Our smackdown parody show was called "Hodown" so we had, "Hodown Insane" and we wanted a big match, so we came up with the Insane match.
Matt: The match was, started off with a battle royal. And when it was down to four guys, a cage was lowered, and the match would turn into a kind of match that we came up with, the Hardcore cage, later called the combat cage. Basically a cage match with weapons.
HJ: After three people would escape the cage, the three remaining would fighting in a Street fight. And the man who would get pin would leave.
Matt: Then a Hell in a Cell would lower around the ring with a ladder on top of the cell. This would be a Hell in a Cell ladder match.
HJ: You needed to escape the cell. climb the to the top, set up the ladder and grab the prize.
Matt: Jeff and me we're the final two and I beat him to become the unified champ.
HJ: I let matt win. Because I knew the original RassleMania was coming up, and it was there we're I beat Matt and became champ.
The clip then Shows Max Announcing Hurricane Jeff as the Commissioner of Monday Night Brawl. Then a clip of HJ turning on Jesse Nunez and joining RI is shown. Clips off all the bad things HJ did is shown and then the clip ends with Max Carter Announcing Dr. Matt as his opponent at One Night Encounter.
So much history in this match. The fans of EWC just don’t realize how special it is to see a match like this. Two kids with a dream, accomplish their dreams as wrestlers. Any fan who followed these two, never would they have thought they’d see these two lock horns ever again, but because of EWC and Max Carter it will happen. But Now I’m getting word that Hurricane Jeff is backstage with Joey Styles.
The scene goes to backstage where Hurricane Jeff is standing beside Joey Styles wearing his wrestling gear.
Joey Styles: Tonight Hurricane Jeff, you step food in the ring. Your first real match since you fought Nathin Doe at Last October’s Uncensored. How do you feel about stepping into the ring for the first time in 8 months.
HJ: Joey, I can not wrestle for 8 months, 1 year or even 5 years. It doesn’t matter because when I get into that ring, its poetry in motion. Just because I’m not an active wrestler, I’m still active in the ring. I’m sure Dr. Matt hasn’t hit the gym since the last time we we’re in a wrestling company together. He probably spent the last year sitting on his couch, watching porn, eating cheatos and getting is pecker all Orange. Dr. Matt is a joke and a has been. And tonight, I prove to everyone why I am the best. And when its all said and done, just like everyone who’s stood in my way, Thru Howling Winds.... And Pouring Rain.... Dr. Matt, you will fear..... THE HURRICANE!
HJ pushes Styles out of the way as he walks by.
Joey: Back to you Colin.
There you have it folks, 5 matches on tonights show. 4 title matches and one hell of a grudge match. If you haven’t ordered this PPV, make sure you do. This is all the time I have for now. I’m now sending you to ring side with Skippy and Aiello for tonight’s pre show match up.
Skippy: Thanks Colin and Welcome fans to tonight’s Preshow.
Aiello: What a Pay Per View we will have tonight, two former best friends will go at it and we will have 4 title match, one being a hell in a cell.
Skippy: Lets not waste any time, lets get on with the Pre show match that’s about to get on its way. Suicide Flyer Verses Jamie McKnight Vs Kelpie.
Suicide Flyer Vs Jamie McKnight Vs Kelpie
[/b]The three men stand in the ring all staring at one another. As the referee signals for the bell to go both Suicide Flyer and McKnight both turn their attention to Kelpie who replies with a grin. Suicide Flyer and McKnight slowly step towards Kelpie only for Kelpie to make the first move giving a right hand to McKnight then one to Suicide Flyer.
Skippy: The new boy Kelpie not ready to be pushed around in the early going of this one.
Kelpie continues punching before running back to the rope and hitting Jamie McKnight with a clothesline knocking him to the floor. Suicide Flyer is quick to give Kelpie a knee to the stomach followed by a knee to the face making him stumble back, Suicide Flyer then knocks Kelpie to the mat with a superkick. Suicide Flyer raises his arms to the crowd as they respond with boos. Suicide Flyer doesn’t notice Jamie McKnight who is now standing tall behind him and is caught off guard by the inverted DDT delivered by McKnight.
Aiello: Watch out for the big guy.
Skippy: Not really sure how you can miss him.
McKnight grabs Suicide Flyer and picks him up by the hair and delivers some huge chops sending Suicide Flyer into the corner. The chops continue before Kelpie runs and dropkicks McKnight into Suicide Flyer in the corner. McKnight falls backwards as Suicide Flyer falls in the corner. Kelpie is quick to his feet and jumps to the top turnbuckle. He shouts some abuse at his opponents before delivering a leg drop to McKnight. Kelpie covers

McKnight kicks out strong.
Skippy: You are not going to beat anyone that easily Kelpie
Kelpie quickly gets up and elbow drops McKnight and gets up and repeatedly stomps on his huge opponent. Suicide Flyer rolls out the ring and watches Kelpie assault McKnight. Kelpie is now delivering strong right to the grounded McKnight. McKnight is lying dazed on the mat and Kelpie gets up to return to the top turnbuckle. He turns poised to drop a huge moonsault but Suicide Flyer jumps on the apron and pushes Kelpie to the outside smashing Kelpies face against the barriers on the outside of the ring. Kelpie is motionless.
Skippy: Oh my god Kelpie looks like he is out of this match already.
Aiello: Welcome to Brawl Kelpie.
Skippy: Welcome indeed, smart move there by Suicide Flyer.
Suicide Flyer now climbs the turnbuckle and motions for Jamie McKnight to get up. McKnight slowly returns to his feet, his back turned to the waiting Suicide Flyer. Still a bit groggy he slowly turns. As he does Suicide Flyer jumps off the top turnbuckle with a crossbody only to be caught by Jamie McKnight. The expression on Suicides face is only of shock as Jamie McKnight carries Suicide Flyer to the middle of the ring and delivers a powerful running powerslam. McKnight goes for the pin

Suicide Flyer kicks out.
Aiello: That was close.
Skippy: Pure strength there shown by McKnight catching and slamming Suicide Flyer like that.
Keen to stay on the assault, McKnight picks up Suicide Flyer pulling him to his feet and throws him with a double snap suplex.
McKnight then goes to the edge of the ring and looks over to the still motionless Kelpie. Satisfied he turns and sees Suicide Flyer returning to his feet. Half way up, Jamie McKnight greets him with a spear knocking him back down. He then picks him up once again and signals for his finisher The End is Near. He lifts Suicide Flyer up but as he goes to slam him down, Suicide Flyer uses McKnight’s own power to deliver a hurricarana. McKnight flies half way across the ring and rolls out onto the outside of the ring.
Skippy: What a counter by Suicide Flyer, Jamie McKnight did not see that coming.
Aiello: Well McKnight is out of the ring, smart move by Jamie McKnight. You can not get pinned outside the ring.
McKnight gets to his feet only for Suicide Flyer to jump onto the top rope, turn and deliver a moonsault onto the outside and on top of McKnight. The move inflicting damage on both superstars.
Kelpie climbs into the ring and sees none of his opponents in the ring. He looks to the outside and sees them both using each other to try and get to their feet. Kelpie then runs and dives over the top rope on top of both McKnight and Suicide Flyer.
Skippy: Jesus Kelpie just used his body as a canon there everyone is down.
The referee looks on and starts counting.

Aiello: If none of these men can get in the ring by the ten count this one is over.

Kelpie and Suicide Flyer exchange punches still not on their feet.

McKnight rolls into the ring

All of a sudden Jamie McKnight runs and goes for a suicide dive on to Suicide Flyer and Kelpie but both men move out of the way with McKnight getting nothing but ground and also breaking the refs count.
Skippy: Not the best move by Jamie McKnight. He could have won this match by count out but instead he is looking like he has just been run over outside the ring.
Kelpie and Suicide Flyer look at the heaped mess of Jamie McKnight and then look in the empty ring. They nod at each other and both roll in the ring. Back on their feet they exchange punches before Kelpie ducks and leg sweeps Suicide Flyer causing him to fall to the mat. Back on his feet Kelpie turns and gives Suicide Flyer a standing moonsault. Once again he quickly gets to his feet and gives a standing leg drop this time going for the pin.

Kick out.
Kelpie looks angrily at the ref and holds up three fingers. The ref signals it was only two and Kelpie starts walking towards the official. Suicide Flyer is quick to his feet and runs at Kelpie and drop kicking him into the referee knocking him on the mat and out for the count. Kelpie looks at the fallen referee and then turns looking at Suicide Flyer who is smiling at his handy work.
Aiello: Referee is down, anything can happen.
Skippy: and usually it does.
McKnight manages to get in the ring and is waiting for Suicide Flyer. Kelpie grins and points at Jamie McKnight. As soon as Suicide Flyer goes to look in his direction, McKnight has already connected with another spear. Suicide Flyer falls to the ground and rolls to the outside holding his ribs. Kelpie laughs at Suicide Flyer but all of a sudden McKnight runs at Kelpie looking to give another spear but Kelpie gives a drop toe hold causing McKnight to fall on the second rope and also setting him up for the Drowning Pain. He runs and connects sending McKnight falling to the mat. Kelpie senses victory and signals for the Flooded Water. As Kelpie runs to the rope and jumps Suicide Flyer is on the outside and smashes Kelpie with a chair shot. Suicide Flyer rolls back in the ring and covers

Skippy: Can’t get the win with no one to count Suicide Flyer.
Suicide Flyer gets back to his feet and goes over to the ref and shakes him. Jamie McKnight is back to his feet and as Suicide Flyer turns, McKnight kicks him in the midsection and then delivers The End is Near. McKnight drags the referee over and shakes him before covering Suicide Flyer, the ref counts really slowly

Kelpie jumps with a double axe handle breaking up the count.
Skippy: That’s it isn’t it?
Aiello: Only 2 Skippy.
Skippy: Must have been two and a half, two and three quarters.
Kelpie grabs Jamie McKnight and superkicks him out of the ring. He then turns his attention back to Suicide Flyer, before Suicide Flyer can fully get to his feet he is met by a bulldog. Kelpie then runs to the ropes and bounces off going for the Flooded Water but Suicide Flyer gets his knees up and they connect to the midsection of Kelpie. Quickly Suicide Flyer is up and jumps on the top turnbuckle. He flies off and delivers a devastating Neck Snapper before covering Kelpie
