David Arquette: Well what a night we had a couple of weeks ago at Night Of Champions and ladies and gentlemen, the action doesn't stop there, Friday Night Rampage is back and we’re live from the sold out United center in Chicago, Illinois and it's a huge show we have lined up for you. Including the introduction of the new General Manager of Rampage.
Scott Caan: It's great to be back after a few weeks away due to the massive event that was Night of Champions. We actually are expecting a couple of announcements that should excite the Rampage roster and fans too David, from the new man himself.
David Arquette: That's right, don't go anywhere, buckle up and enjoy the beginning of a new era here on Friday nights. But Scott everyone is still reeling from Night of Champions, of course Ruthan Park lost her EWC Championship which is now over on Brawl with Tony Savage.
Scott Caan: However Project Chaos’ own Mark Strom retained his World title against his own brother, The Vigilante and of course Rampage won the brand vs brand match, which will surely please the new man at the helm.
David Arquette: But how can we start the show without mentioning the huge moment in EWC history when the President of the company himself, Danny Mac attacked Shadow Man, an EWC legend himself handing Xplode the win. What does that mean for the EWC as a whole…. Only time will tell. But we’re gearing up here for the introduction of a new general manager of Rampage.
Scott Caan: Who do you think the GM is David? Surely not a security guard or waitress!
David Arquette: Nothing suprises me in this business anymore. President Mac is certainly unpredictable when he wants to be. I think we might be about to find out though.
The sold out audience await in anticipation for the new man at the helm to walk out onto the stage. The lights dim and 'My Way' by Limp Bizkit hits the PA system.
David Arquette: Wait... we know this music.
Scott Caan: It's... it's...
Ashton Daniels, the former general manager of Rampage a couple of years ago walks out onto the stage with a huge grin across his face. He's sharply dressed for the occasion and his entrance is greeted with a mixed reaction from the fans who clearly remember him from 2013.
Scott Caan: It's ASHTON DANIELS, he's the man to take this brand forward.
David Arquette: I think this is quite a brilliant move by Mac... Ashton was very successful when he was in charge two years ago when ratings were high.
Scott Caan: They'll be a few faces backstage who wont be too happy mind David... one man comes to mind... BDC, the former EWC champion, these two did not get on when they tried to work together.
Ashton walks down the ramp, slapping a few of the younger fans hands on his way down.
Emmanuelle Chriqui: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome back... the NEW General Manager of Friday Night Rampage.... ASHTON DANIELS!!!
He walks up the steel steps and steps through the ropes, acknowledging the more welcoming fans in attendance as he grabs a microphone from an official on the outside.
Ashton: I'M BACKKKKKK!!!!!
A mixture of cheers and boos ring out throughout the arena. Ashton pauses for a second taking in the moment. In the middle of the ring is a stand, with what looks to be a box on top of it, covered with a blanket.
Scott Caan: What do you think's inside?
David Arquette: Well, i'm sure were going to find out any second.
Ashton: First off, i'd like to say thank you to President Mac... for finally seeing sense and putting someone back in charge who actually knows the wrestling business, unlike the last two morons that were put in charge. I have to say Mac, i thought you'd lost it, but you've saved yourself with this appointment.
David Arquette: He's certainly still as confident as he was before.
Ashton: Anyway... let's get down to business, because we have an action packed show for you tonight, but first, i'd like to introduce something back to Friday Night Rampage... something of great prestige and something for the whole roster to get excited about. Without further a do....
He grabs the end of the blanket and pauses for a moment, hyping the anticipation... then finally pulls the blanket away, revealing a championship belt under a glass box, glistening in the light.
Ashton: This is the returning EWC Television Championship belt, a belt to be taken very seriously and something to be a proud holder of. This belt will be purely a Rampage brand championship belt and will be defended on Friday nights and at Pay-per-views. Furthermore, tonight's main event match between Johnny Raike, Ronnie McNeil and Randall Chase Brooks will be contested for the vacant EWC Television title.
The announcement recieves a nice pop from the crowd.
David Arquette: Wow... we have a championship match live on tonight's Rampage, what an unexpected announcement and a huge boost for the competitors in the main event.
Scott Caan: Some EWC greats have held that title in the past and it's great to see it back and we don't have to wait long to crown the champion... what a GM!
Ashton Daniels: Tonight these three men will put their bodies on the line to put their name down in EWC history. Of course announced at Night of Champions is the fact that Brawl and Rampage will now have separated rosters, however championships will be shared… apart from this EWC Television Championship. Thankfully, Shelly Silver, the newest member of the group Project Chaos has brought the EWC United States title to Rampage, while Mark Storm holds the World title. So along with the Tag Team and Hardcore titles being owned 50% by Rampage members, we are looking like a very strong brand. And this is the type of leadership I intend to bring to the brand… strong leadership. Although I will reward the people I feel need rewarding, just like tonight with the main event title match. Although….
He pauses and smirks and looks around the arena like a light bulb has gone off in his brain.
Ashton: Although, I feel like tonight is a beginning of a new era here on Friday nights, so why not make things even more entertaining. Even more brutal and even more extreme.
The crowd pop.
Ashton: Tonight’s main event, featuring Johnny Raike, Ronnie McNeil and Randall Chase Brooks, will be for the EWC Television Championship, but the man who wants to hold that title belt proudly around his waist, must climb to the top of the ladder and retrieve it. Only then will he be the proud holder of the title, because it will now be a triple threat ladder match!!!
The sold out Chicago crowd go nuts.
David Arquette: Oh my lord, a three way ladder match for the title, what a main event.
Scott Caan: it looks like we’re in for a n exciting night and Ashton seems to have won around those booers already.
Ashton: Finally, I have another announcement for later tonight, but good luck to the three compe…..
‘Nightmare’ by Avenged Sevenfold interrupts Ashton mid sentence and the crowd begin booing as all three members of Project Chaos, the World champion Mark Storm, the newest member and United States champion Shelley Silver and of course Gabreal Martin appear on the stage. Gabreal Martin is still showing signs of his 2 out of 3 Glass table match at Night of Champions a couple of weeks ago. Ashton looks quizzically up at the stage at them. Storm and Silver hold up their respective championships to heat from the crowd as Gabe puts a mic to his mouth as the music cuts.
Gabe: Who in the hell do you think you are? Walking down to that ring and dishing championship matches out to wrestlers who couldn’t even lace any of our boots. If anyone is deserving of an EWC Television Championship match, then it’s me!
The three of them begin to walk down the ramp.
Gabe: Project Chaos are the true authority of this show Ashton, no matter how much you think you are in charge, we will truly run this show. We already hold two championships and we want more and we will get more, especially when you do what a good little boy should do and put me in that main event tonight.
All of a sudden…. Whatta Man by Salt n Peppa hits and Michael Saint walks out through the curtain to a huge ovation.
David Arquette: Wow, this is getting interesting, Michael Saint is here… but why?
Michael Saint: Well, well, well Chicago, Illinois, how in the hell are you doing this fine night?
The United Center is on their feet for an EWC legend.
Michael Saint: I am feeling great myself especially now that I am back in charge of my show Friday Night Rampage along with Mr. Ashton Daniels down there.
Scott Caan: What an earth?
Daniels begins laughing at Gabreal Martin who looks in total shock.
Gabreal Martin: What in the hell do you think you are doing here Michael? You wanted to interrupt me?
Michael Saint: Actually I am here to address the little demands you think that you can make of people here. You see Ashton along with myself is the authority here on Rampage, so you had better gets used to seeing me here.
Cheers
Michael Saint: You might have been able to push around the other staff in this company, but you can't do that to Ashton and you sure as hell can't do it to me.
Gabreal Martin: How about I go down there and beat the match I want out of you while Mark and Shelley beat up your buddy over here.
The crowd begin hating on Chaos, mainly Gabreal Martin.
Michael Saint: Trust me you do not want to do that. You see you do not deserve a title shot in my honest opinion and further more.....
Gabreal Martin: I do not deserve a title shot! What right do you have? I beat Ruthless Aggression. I have beat BDC....I….
Michael Saint: You got your ass handed to you on a silver platter at Night of Champions by Derek Wellings!
The crowd burst out into laughter along with Ashton Daniels.
Michael Saint: You and Mark Storm have been getting your way too much in this company. You can beat Ruthless Aggression and BDC all you want, but that does not mean you earned a damn thing. You can sit there and make threats to me or Ashton all you want, but from here on out we are the law.
Cheers
Michael Saint: You will sit back and you will do what you are told, because like it or not from now on Gabe, I own your ass.
The United Center all together begin chanting for Michael Saint.
Michael Saint: Now Ashton and myself are going to make this show the best and we want you three on it because you have talent, but make no mistake you three will not run roughshot over us to make a statement. Now if you are done with your display of power that has failed miserably I would like Ashton to continue with what he was doing.
The fans applaud Saint’s authority as Gabe looks rattled by this turn of events.
Ashton: Thank you Michael. Apologies Gabreal, I forgot the twist in this tail which included that I am not the only man running this show. I have returned, Michael Saint has returned and together, the two finest General Managers in EWC history will work together to make Rampage the number one wrestling show in the business. Now security if you’d like to escort these three out of the arena so that we can get this show going, I’d greatly appreciate it.
‘Whatta Man’ by Salt N Peppa begins playing again as Michael Saint moves to the side as about 20 security officers escort the three Project Chaos members backstage as Saint happily waves at Gabe riling him up.
David Arquette: Well what an explosive beginning to Friday Night Rampage. We have the return of two former GM’s to take control of the show together and well, for once, they seem to be on the same page.
Scott Caan: Yeah at least for now anyways.
