David Arquette: Hello everyone and welcome to EWC Friday Night Rampage! We are live fro Detroit, Michigan!
Scott Caan: We have a treat for you all tonight. Seven big matches for you and all of them are going to be great!
“The Hills” starts to play as the EWC Television champion, Ronnie McNeil walks down to the ring. He motions for Emmanuelle to hand him her mic as he’s steps thru the ropes, and takes a long look out over the arena, before speaking.
RM: Motor City…welcome to Friday Night Rampage!
(Some of the crowd cheers, some of them boo)
RM: I hear you…I feel that some of yall don’t agree with my methods lately, and that’s OK. I don’t expect yall too. I do expect yall to understand what it means when you watch someone’s dream get taken away by forces outside of their control. I hope yall got that video cued up…play it!
From 4-22 Rampage
Michael looks over at Freddie, who winks and nods towards Ruthann. Ruthann looks at them both, instantly aware of the situation. Ruthann glares at them both with a 'just bring it' look. That's when Freddie sprints at Ruthann and powers her into the corner, whilst she clubs like crazy with her fists at his back. At the same time Michael Carter begins hitting her with his own flurry of lefts and rights. Ruthann attempts to put up a fight, but the numbers game proves too much as Styles hits the 'BALLGAME' on her in the middle of the ring. The crowd boos like crazy at the two, when all of a sudden Michael hits Freddie with a spear. The two begin to exchange blows as Ruthann gets back to her feet. She jumps on top of them both, hitting Freddie at the base of his neck, Michael on his head, and begins trading blows as well. Refs come running in to the ring to break everyone up.
RM: That moment…that moment Ruthie. You took away his career with that reckless act. You let your emotions get you, and you basically ended my nephew’s career. Michael Carter will have been the last person he faced here in EWC, but the damage you did…
(Screen replays Ruthann diving in and her elbow hitting Freddie Styles right at the base of his neck)
RM:…it killed his dream. You broke his C3, C4 and C5 vertebrae, and fractured his C2 axis vertebrae. That one elbow ended it all. So you’re damn right that I’m pissed at you. I’m pissed at you because I have to go home every Saturday and look at him and his girl Arora…look at the brokenness in his face because your recklessness took away his livelihood. What hurts worse…is that you didn’t even think enough of him…or me, because you knew damn well who he was and who he was related to, to even call and apologize to him for what you did. Three months and you haven’t even sent a damn message even checking on him. Not one tweet, DM or email. That’s damn disrespectful Ruthie. I remember you being down in the shit, crying on my shoulder once upon a time back in the day because things weren’t going all that well, and as a friend and fellow competitor, I listened. You didn’t have to be his friend, but you could have had the decency to make an attempt to reach out to him. You owed him that, if nothing else. But no…you just went on your merry way, enjoying your merry life, while my nephew struggles in rehab, knowing that at best, he’ll live a normal life, but will never lace up his boots and step in a ring as a wrestler ever again, barring a miracle.
Ronnie leans in the corner, regaining his composure. He readjusts the TV title on his shoulder, and then speaks again.
RM: There you have it, ladies and gents. That’s why I, Ronnie McNeil, have come back to the ring. I came back for payback and family pride. Of course, being the star that I am, I picked up this wonderful title right here that I have to defend tonight against Jessica Black. And while there’s always a chance of the opposite, I fully expect to leave Detroit with this belt still on my shoulder. But I’ve already spoken on Ms. Black this week, and I’ll see her in a lil while. There’s a PPV coming up, it hasn’t gotten officially titled or given a date yet, and I know that you’re itching to get your hands on me Ruthie. So at that PPV, I’ll give you the chance. Non-title of course, unless you want to put your rematch for the EWC Championship on the line. Beyond that, I just want to make you bleed. Angelic Enigma vs. Queen of Hardcore…steel cage. Hell, put some weapons on the cage itself. Since you can’t do the right thing on your own, I’ll beat an apology out of you. I expect your answer by the end of the night. Oh yeah, one more thing. If you show your face at any point during my title defense tonight, you’re fired. That’s coming from Michael Saint himself. You stuck your nose in my match last time, and you won’t do that again. Tick tock Ruthie….I’m waiting…
“The Hills” plays again, as Ronnie climbs out of the ring and walks back up the ramp.
THE PARKING LOT
David Arquette: Apparently there is something going on backstage. Let's go there to see what it is.
The camera cuts backstage and a still very obviously injured Shelley Silver is seen limping around the men's locker room.
Scott Caan: Well look at who it is.
David Arquette: That is your United States Champion, Shelley Silver. Still apparently feeling the effects of leg hold from Jessica Black a month ago. The question is, what is she doing here tonight? Especially when The Blacklist is going to look at her as easy pickings.
Scott Caan: Isn't it obvious, David? Eric Steel is in the opening match tonight. There has got to be some unresolved issues there.
Shelley paused as she was right across the locker room door, leaning against the wall to rest. The door opened just enough to show Eric Steel as he was lacing up his boots. Just as Shelley was about to approach the door, Steel's opponent for the night, Kasey Cross, walked up to her.
Kasey looked at Shelley, then to the door, getting a glimpse of Steel and nodding before looking back over to Shelley.
Kasey Cross: I know that it's not my business, but do you still have feelings for him?
Shelley chuckled as the door swung shut, Steel never noticing the girls, and shook her head.
Shelley Silver: I'm not sure that I ever did. He was never exactly a prince charming, or knight in shining armor type. He just got what he wanted and started to ignore me soon after. Now he has the nerve to come back and act like I was the bad guy. I don't know what his problem is, but I don't really have any faith that things will be any different now.
Shelley turned to walk off, resolving to talk to Steel later. She turned back to Kasey with a small smile.
Shelley Silver: Anyway, I have moved on, and I am happy. Still, kick his ass good for me. He has it coming.
The camera goes back to commentary, showing two bewildered men.
David Arquette: Did Shelley just say that she has moved on?
Scott Caan: She did. Wonder who the lucky lady... Or guy, may be.
David Arquette: I guess time will tell. In the mean time, let's get our first commercial so we can then get to our opening match!
