Hello,
As most of you have heard by now, my client was not successful at Wrestlefest against the reigning EWC Champion.. Xplode. I will make no excuses for the loss. My client was obviously unprepared for the fight, and more concerned with his "off duty activities." This is especially troubling for me, as I still firmly believe that Brett Black was a top tier talent.. but alas.. we may never see him blossom into the athlete that I believe him to be. Looking back over the last few months, I had hoped to show Xplode that I was worthy of being his manager. There is no denying that my strategy had pushed him to the limit. Through my keen sense of business, my client was able to dismantle Xplode and send doubt into his heart, something that we have never seen before in the champion's illustrious past. Xplode was able to overcome these odds, a testament to his skill and dominance in the ring.
I had hoped to gain Xplode's contract through hard work and determination, but it has become increasingly clear that he is too closed minded to allow me the chance to prove my worth in that matter. So, I am forced to play hardball with him. During my former employment as an EWC personnel, I had a clause added to my contract that would allow me one action, as long as it was in the best interests of the promotion. That power still belongs to me legally, and I intend on acting upon it. I have spoken to the board of advisers, and they have agreed that my management of the EWC Champion would not only help refine Xplode... but enhance his abilities. This would help to push EWC into a more professional atmosphere. Effective today, Xplode's contract has been turned over to me.
I fully expect our EWC President to veto this act, but I assure you, the lawyers that I have on standby are waiting for his response. I feel that it is unfortunate that our business partnership has to begin this way, but what's done is done. I will see our EWC Champion into the new era... an Era of X... and an Era of Tara Michaels.
Thank you.
