[OOC: I wasn't going to post this here, but then I realized that is serves as a prologue for my Rampage RP that I will be posting sometime after Brawl airs.]
Photographer: Just one more, Shelley.
Shelley Silver turned to her side, looking over her shoulder with a devious smile. This was something that she was quite used to. To put herself through wrestling school, Shelley went into what was referred to as alternative modeling. Being that she chose to cover her body in tattoos, she wouldn't be accepted by mainstream modeling agencies. So she went to the Suicide Girls. It was considered “underground” by many, but their following was growing.
Photographer: Okay, we’re done. That was great, Shelley. May I ask what that was for, though?
Shelley smiled, nodding as she began retrieving her things.
Shelley: I just joined New Generation Wrestle. I figured a new photoshoot was in order.
The photographer grinned.
Photographer: I’ve heard about NGW. So you’ve decided to branch out a bit?
Shelley: Yeah, I just felt like it was time for one more. I think that I’ve got it in me.
Photographer: Well, good luck. I’ll keep an eye out for you.
Shelley: Thanks.
Shelley grinned as she walked out of the studio. She got into her jeep, heading to her next destination. The offices of Wrestle Zone dot Net. When she walked in, she was told that she was going to be interviewed by an intern named Alissa. She didn't mind, though. Especially once they were introduced. Shelley and the younger woman hit it off straight away.
Alissa: Now Shelley, I see that you have only been wrestling for about a year. What did you do before?
Shelley took a deep breath.
Shelley: I guess that it is best to start from the beginning. For as long as I can remember, I watched wrestling with my older brother and his friends. It excited me. I could tell that it was something that I wanted to do. I was bullied all throughout school, and there was one day in - I believe it was seventh grade - I got beat up by a few classmates after school, and I didn't know how to fight back. So I was enrolled in Tae Kwon Do the next day. I was a natural at it. So by the time I finished college, I had a total of five black belts. After college, I wanted to pursue wrestling, but I didn't have the money to pay my way through wrestling school. So I began modeling.
Alissa: I’ve seen your work. I have to say that I am quite impressed.
Shelley nodded with a smirk.
Shelley: Thank you. It may have not been my first career choice, but I take pride in all of my work.
Alissa: You’ve already made a name for yourself in EWC and NJFC. Why NGW?
Shelley: Much like my good friend, Mark Storm, I feel like it is time for a new generation to shine. This isn't the 80s, the 90s, or even the first decade of this century. In other places, I am seeing guys old enough to be my father, trying to relive their glory days. It’s past due time for them to step aside and make way for the new generation. How can we ever make a name for ourselves, while we are still in our prime, if everyone’s still got their eyes on them?
Alissa: You have a really good point there. Now your first match is a dark match battle royale. As a former champion, are you OK with this? And how do you think that you will fair?
Shelley: I don't mind the fact that it is a dark match. That is how everyone starts in NGW. Why should I be any different? As for the competition, it looks to be about half completely fresh faces, and the other half faces that have made a name for themselves elsewhere, much like myself. That doesn't matter, though. I am Shelley Silver, and I will come out on top.
Alissa: Well, that is all for now, Shelley. Thank you for your time.
Shelley: No, thank you. Can I get your number?
Shelley pulled out her phone, going into her contacts. She blinked as her phone was taken out of her hands and replaced with another one. She put her number in Alissa’s phone before trading back. She said her goodbyes before heading back to her car. Once she was sitting in the drivers seat she got her phone back out, dialing a number that she hasn't in quite some time.
Voice: Hey Shel, what’s up?
Shelley sighed.
Shelley: I just had an interview about my debut at NGW. I think that I blew it.
Voice: Why do you say that?
Shelley: Absolutely no trash talk. I practically complimented my opponents. They're not going to take me seriously now.
Voice: It’s not the end. That was just an interview. You have plenty of time to do a promo. You have that awesome promo space in your basement. I can help you. We can even get in some promo time in while I'm there.
Shelley: You're right. Come to my house when you can. I am flying back up from LA tonight.
Photographer: Just one more, Shelley.
