*The scene fades in from black to an external shot of a dockside apartment block in Liverpool, England. The camera pans around to show the bay of Liverpool, various ferries and other boats, the famous skyline of the city sitting on one side of the bay, the Wirral Peninsula on the other. The camera moves back to the apartment block, then cuts to an interior shot of the apartment; We are greeted to a well-furnished room, large, bright, with an expensive looking cream leather sofa, and a 50 inch tv on the wall. There is also a large glass display cabinet, containing a number of wrestling title belts. Sat on the sofa, looking calm and relaxed, we find the latest man to join the EWC roster, The Eagle. He is wearing a loose-fitting white t-shirt, under a dark brown leather jacket, with faded blue jeans, and brown trainers to match his jacket. He has a wry grin on his face, and his piercing blue eyes flash deep into the camera as he looks at it*
EAGLE: Welcome, EWC Universe, to my humble abode! It's been a long time since I've done this, sat in front of a camera and talked like this, but it feels good. I've been doing this for what seems like forever, and it feels good to be getting back to what I know. The decision to return to professional wrestling is not one I've taken lightly, it has been more than two years since I've set foot inside a competetive ring, and I'm not exactly a spring chicken anymore, but the desire, the will to compete, is still inside me as much as it ever was!
*He pauses for a second, and takes a deep breath*
EAGLE: So the next question is, why the EWC? Well, there are two reasons. Firstly, it's one of the most well respected, most well-established feds in the world. Working here, and WINNING here, will mean something. Secondly, it's about anonymity. I wrestled for another high profile company, but no one here has a single clue who I am. Not the fans, not the staff, and not the other wrestlers. A reputation can be a good thing, but sometimes it can hold you back. It can bring a level of expectation that hangs around your neck like a lead weight. I've had a good look at all the EWC rosters, and I have to say that, with one possible exception, I don't know anyone here. There's one guy, might be someone I crossed paths with many moons ago, might just have the same name, guess I'll find out along the way. But on the whole, I will be completely anonymous here, and that is exactly the way I want it!
*Another pause, as Eagle reaches for a bottle of water on the floor next to him. He takes a sip, wipes his mouth, and turns back to the camera*
EAGLE: But, that anonymity comes at a price: I'm very proud of my past, of everything I accomplished in the NWF, and various other places. But here, that matters for nought. All of my titles, all of my accolades, count for nothing here in the EWC. This is day one, and I, to all intents and purposes, am a 36 year old rookie. I don't expect anyone to go easy on me, I expect every second in here to be a fight, a fight that I am relishing! So to everyone here, from the newest rookie, up to the world champion, I finish by sending you a message, putting all of you on notice; I'm coming for all of you, and I will show the world that I still have what it takes. To put it quite simply....
*The camera pans in closer to Eagle's face, as a look of grim determination replaced his earlier grin*
EAGLE: The Eagle......Has LANDED!!!!
*After a few moments focused on Eagle's face, the scene fades slowly to black*
