Aiello: Hello and thank you for tuning in for another episode of Monday Night Brawl. We are coming to you live from tthe PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where just a couple of hours ago, the Pittsburgh Penguins were defeated by the Washington Capitals 5-2
Bennett: The Capitals dominated the game tonight, and now have forced a game 7 which will go down in Washington on Wednesday Night
Aiello: We want to give a special thank you to the PPG Paints Arena staff and crew for getting the ice covered and the arena converted in time for tonight's Brawl. They worked incredibly hard and fast to allow us to start on time tonight.
Carter: Last week in Arizona we were introduced to our new BRAWL GM .. Victor Price
Aiello: That's right .. Price was handpicked by the Board to take over the reigns and he didn't take long to put his stamp on the show. He came fired Corey Smith for showing up and competing drunk. He then also put into motion tonight's Main Event by handing a title shot to Amis Shelton in a rematch against new EWC International Champion Catharsis
Bennett: I like Price. He's a summmm bitch I can get behind, but even I can admit that Catharsis is getting a raw deal here. He didn't get celebrated as Champ, instead he is forced to put his title on the line just a couple of weeks after winning it
Carter: We also have Jackson and Grunge battling in a first blood match. No one saw the heel turn coming when Grunge turned on his one time partner last week, almost costing them the match in return.
Aiello: John Blade will take on MJ Malone in singles competition later tonight too
Bennett: Perhaps the most talked about match of the night is the Valora Thomas/Eddie Crank match. Last week Valora defeated Tillman, in what ultimately was his last match in the EWC. Now she takes on the X-Division Champion in what should be a pretty intense match.
Aiello: Starting things off tonight .. that First Blood match, but first .. some EWCTV info .. We will back back with more BRAWL .. right after these messages

FIRST BLOOD MATCH
ANDREW JACKSON
VS ANTHONY GRUNGE
ANDREW JACKSON
VS ANTHONY GRUNGE
Aiello: Welcome back wrestling fans everywhere to another Monday Night Brawl. In the first match tonight we will see the former team partners from last show Andrew Jackson and Anthony Grunge going for first blood to settle the conflict that arose after Grunge´s controversial actions on May Day in Glendale.
Jessica Stroup: WELCOME TO MONDAY NIGHT BRAWL from Pittsburgh ladies and gentlemen. Our first contest is scheduled not for one fall but for first blood! Coming to the ring now and weighting in at 190 lbs …from North Carolina… ANDREW JACKSON!!!
Take No Prisoners by Megadeth blasts through the PA system and it is soon followed by a series of fireworks blasting across the stage from left to right and back to the start point like a rogue Draco.
Once the fireworks seize Andrew Jackson arrives from behind the curtains looking expansively into the thousands in the audience. The cheers flood the stage as he gets himself settled at the center of it.
Jackson throws salutes to his audience and begins to make his way down the ramp. He doesn’t flash a single smile but even with his strict demeanor he dishes out high-fives and handshakes whilst he makes his way down.
Once he gets to the ring area he uses the steps to get into the ring but before going through the ropes he points to the cheap seats above and throws a salute their way. Once in the ring he finds his corner and throws a few warm up punches to get into the swing of things as he waits for the match to begin.
Jessica Stroup: And his opponent from Hollywood California, weighting in at 210 pounds, he is the Mosh Pit…. ANTHONY GRUNGE!!!
Fell on Black Days from Soundgarden starts as the former grunge rocker turned wrestler comes to the ring and high fives some of the fans and then does a cartwheel into the ring.
Carter: That look on Andrews face sticking ten inches ou of Grunge´s back….
Bennett: After last show he´d better look afraid what that ol´son o´bitch Anthony might have up his sleeve. Perhaps a ninja partner disguised as ref.
Aiello: Jackson has been a fighter all his life. After his time with the seals I doubt there is anything inside a wrestling ring that can scare him.
DING! DING! DING!
Andrew Jackson kicks things off with a clothesline attempt that almost bombs when Grunge greets him with a High Knee in the mid of the air that Jackson is barely able to dodge more out of instinct than through skill.
Aiello: Now that knee could have busted open Jackson´s face early on, ending the match before it really began.
Bennett: Not much of a strategic approach for a soldier.
Carter: But he´s bringing the fight to his opponent.
Max Carter is right on cue. Jackson lands a Roundhouse kick squarely across the back of his opponent just as Grunge regains his footing, sending the Californian stumbling into the ropes. Jackson immediately follows behind and catapults Grunge back into the middle of the ring with a German Suplex.
Aiello: Power moves on the part of Jackson but for once I agree with Steve. He might be missing the point of the match.
Bennett: You agree? Can I get that in writing? You can be sure Grunge won´t be missing any points here. He knows damn well what this match is all about.
Grunge manages to get back onto his feet just in time to reverse a Neckbreaker attempt by Jackson but Grunge´s own Neckbreaker bombs as well when Andrew Jackson manages a Hip Toss. The Ex-Seal aims another Roundhouse for Anthony´s head but the Mosh Pit gets up too fast, soaks up the damage with his arm and shoulder and retorts with his Superkick of his own that connects squarely with Jackson´s chest but does little more than push him back two steps.
Both wrestlers unleash a flurry of kicks at each other, throwing in elbows smashes and backhand fists for good measure. The ref Josh Daniels watches closely for any signs of first blood but neither man seems able to make the other bleed.
Aiello: Now that may not be wrestling anymore.
Bennett: Or they finally got what this first blood deal is all about.
Carter: Andrew´s best when he is not down on the mat and not grappling.
Anthony Grunge seems to know that as well and tries to gets technical again by trapping his opponent in a Cobra Clutch. Instead of taking him down to the canvas however, Grunge drags Jackson to the nearest corner, throws him head first into the turnbuckle and follows through with a series of turnbuckle thrusts.
Finally Jackson gets his right knee up right into Grunge´s lower ribs and start to hammer double axe handles into his back and the back of his head as well.
The crowd goes nuts as Jackson starts to knee and punch Anthony Grunge into a handy package.
Aiello: Seems like Anthony caught himself in his own trap. The turnbuckle is a good place to cut ones face open if you do it right.
Bennett: It ain´t over till the fat lady sings.
Carter: Still awesome action from Jackson.
Bennett: But the Mosh Pit is back in action too.
Indeed Grunge uses his position sandwitched between Jackson´s fists and knee to grab him around the waist and elevate him into a Swinging Backbreaker.
As Jackson trashes around the mat in pain Grunge staggers Away from and supports himself on the top rope with one hand while his left forearm is pressed against his lower ribs and he struggles for breath. Jackson nurses his lower back much the same as he gets back into the vertical.
The wrestlers glare at each other and then as if someone had pushed a button charge at each other again. Grunge turns what looks like a Spear into a Baseball Slide that knocks Jackson right off his feet. The Mosh Pit follows through with an elbow drop aimed for Jackson´s nose to finally get the blood flowing.
Jackson however, gets his shoulder up as if trying to escape from a pin and the elbow smashes into his chest, causing pain no doubt but no blood flow.
Grunge´s frustration mounts as Jackson shoves him aside with another knee to the lower ribs.
Again both men have to fight their way back into a standing position. They´ve laid the hurt on each other and it shows.
Grunge manages to twist his head aside to avoid the full impact of the attack but the sole of Jackson´s boot still crazes his lower lip, spraying a splatter of red liquid all over Grunge´s cheek.
Ref Daniels immediately calls for the bell.
DING! DING! DING!
Grunge starts to shout angrily at the ref who summarily ignores him while he raises Andrew Jackson´s arm in victory.
Jessica Stroup: The winner of this match and drawer of first blood is: ANDREW JACKSON!!!!
Aiello: This ends what you could rightfully call a grunge match. No pun intended. We may have seen first blood tonight but something tells me that these two men are not done with each other yet.
Bennett: More like the beginning of a wonderful fiendship. Grunge´s gonna hold a grunge and Jackson is such a stickler to rules and principles he´ll feel betrayed forever and a day even if he won today.
Carter: What´s wrong with a man having a backbone? He was the offended party to begin with.
Aiello: This MNB surely gets the adrenaline pumping from the first minute on. Before we move on to the next event, here is this….
The scene opens up backstage where BRAWL General Manager Victor Price and John Blade are having a conversation
Victor: John, looking sharp .. I like that. Look, I wanted to apologize for coming at you last week. It wasn't a good way to start things off, and I wanted to come see you before your match and wish you luck
John: Thank you Mr Price
Victor: No problem son
John: Maybe if I win tonight in my match against MJ Malone you will let me get a title shot because of my win against MJ Malone and fight for the X-Division Title because Crank beat me and I want a shot if I win against MJ Malone since I will have defeated MJ Malone and ...
Victor: Son, I'm gonna need you to piss in a cup before your match. You sound like a backwards playing record in a crack house
John: The only drugs I take are prayers sir. I say my prayers every day, and you cant see me, and I have a new toy coming out and if I defeat MJ Malone then maybe I can have a title shot
Victor: Seriously, I'm gonna need you to piss in a cup
JOHN BLADE
VS MJ MALONE
VS MJ MALONE
Aiello: Well .. that was nice of our General Manager to apologize to John Blade backstage .. Folks, it's been a busy week so far and we're only at match two! Before we get to it, we are joined by the Ever Beautiful and Very Dangerous: Emma Louise. Emma welcome to the desk.
Emma: Happy to be here Joe
Aiello: Looking forward to this one.
Emma: Actually yes. Both men suffered loses last week and will be wanting to get back to winning ways. Unfortunately, only one can. The other faces a second loss.
Jessica Stroup: This match is scheduled for one fall.
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
Jessica Stroup: Making his way to the ring first, from Portland, Oregon and weighing in at 245 pounds, The Man Of Every Hour: MJ MALONE!!!!
Man in the Box begins to fill the EWC Arena. A chorus of boos begins to echo throughout the passionate EWC crowd as "The Man of Every Hour" MJ Malone confidently steps out at the top of the entranceway.
A smug, yet confident grin stretches his face as he looks out into the crowd. He looks directly at the camera waiting at the top of the ramp, winks cockily to the fans at home and shoves the cameraman out of the way as he begins his march to the ring.
As he reaches the corner steps he ascends the first two and pauses. He turns around and look at the crowd with a smug grin etched on his face. He removes his EWC branded t-shirt, throwing it directly into the face of a fan at ringside, behaving as if he had gifted it to them rather than throwing it forcefully into their face.
Malone climbs into the ring and confidently marches over to the opposite corner and climbs to the second turnbuckle, raising his arms into the air as if to expect adulation from the crowd, who strongly boo him. He then climbs down from the turnbuckle and awaits the beginning of his next encounter.
Jessica Stroup: And his opponent, weighs 251 Pounds and hails from Boston in Massachusetts: JOHN BLADE!!!!
'Time Is Now' hit's and John Blade walks out onto the stage, wearing his trademark baseball cap and matching t shirt. With a salute to the crowd, he begins running to the ring where he slides in and quickly gets to his feet before tossing his hat into the crowd. After a bit more posing, he removes his t shirt and tosses it into the crowd before turning to fight his opponent.
DING! DING! DING!
Both men come together in a Collar and Elbow tie up. Malone manages to get behind Blade and pushes him off the ropes in an early attempt at Breaking The Bank. It's so early that Blade is able to grab the ropes and send Malone rolling backwards. Blade turns as Malone rushes toward him. He grabs Malone and drops him onto the mat with a White Noise and goes for the cover.

Aiello: He went for the cover a bit early there.
Emma: Maybe. Steve will tell you, sometimes you hit a big move early. Sometimes it's about trying your luck, sometimes it's about huting your opponent and taking his energy even if he kicks out.
Bennett: She's right there.
Malone picks himself up off the mat mouthing something at Blade. Again they lock up in a Collar and Elbow Tie Up and again Malone gets behind Blade. This time he stops at the back of Blade's left knee and Blade goes down clutching his leg. Malone continues his assult with a series of stops to the injured knee before grabbing the leg and slamming it on the canvas knee cap first.
Malone grabs the leg and turns Blade onto his back before Elbow Dropping the knee. Malone gets to his feet still holding Blade's leg. Malone wraps his arm around the leg and falls backward almost DDT-ing the ankle. Blade drags himself back to his feet using the ropes but Malone runs at Blade Chop Locking the bad knee. Blade crumples to the ground clutching the bad knee.
Malone then picks Blade up and Powerbombs him before locking on a Single Leg Crab pulling back on the injured left leg. Blade screams in pain but doesn't tap out. Instead he manages to pull himself to the ropes. The referee calls for the break.
Carter: I thought that might have been it. MJ Malone has all but tore that knee apart.
Emma: Blade needs to somehow find the strength to fight back or it is over soon.
Bennett: Malone has the Figure 4 in his back pocket ready to release.
Malone argues with the referee over rope breaks. This gives Blade an opportunity to roll onto the ring apron and drag himself up the turnbuckles. He launches himself at Malone with a Diving Cross Body. Somehow Blade is on his feet first and he hits Malone with a Legdrop and goes for a cover.

Carter: I wanted to be wrong but we all knew that wasn't going to keep MJ Malone down.
Blade picks up Malone and drops him with a Falcon Arrow. Blade is on his feet again and looks down at his fallen opponent and motions for a Five Knuckle Shuffle. He bounces off the ropes but his knee can't hold him and he crumples to the ground in pain.
Malone gets to his feet and wipes sweat from his forehead with his hand. He looks down at the fallen Blade before dragging him to the centre of the ring. He grabs Blades leg and goes to apply a Figure 4. Blade grabs at Malone's head as he does so rolling him up in a Small Package.

KICK OUT!!!
Emma: Shows what I know about wrestling.
Aiello: Likewise.
Bennett: You just wanted it to be over. Malone has a lot more in his tank, unlike Blade.
Malone charges at Blade who Back Body Drops Malone over his head and back first onto the canvas. It's too much for Blade's knee and again he crumples to the mat. Malone is back to his feet first. He picks Blade up before dropping him spine first onto the canvas with a Sidewalk Slam. Instead of going for the pinfall, Malone stands on the turnbuckles posing for the crowd.
He doesn't see Blade drag himself to his feet. Blade punches Malone in the back knocking him off balance. Blade grabs Malone and drops him with a Razor Blade. He makse the cover.

DING! DING! DING!
Jessica Stroup: Here is your winner; JOHN BLADE!!!!
Emma: Say what you will about John Blade but he didn't give up.
Bennett: He should have.
Aiello: Should or not, as Emma just said he didn't. Max?
Carter: It's a major school boy error. MJ Malone hit a big Sidewalk Slam and didn't go for the pin. He celebrated winning before he even won.
Emma: Exactly. You have to keep on your opponent. MJ took his eye off the ball for too long and that gave John Blade opportunity to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat when he hit a huge Razor Blade and get himself the three count. Had he kept on him, MJ Malone could have been victorious but in the end, he wasn't
John Blade now has a mic in hand and begins to address the crowd
John: I was able to win my match here tonight against MJ Malone .. and now .. I invite our General Manager to come out .. so that he can book me in a title match against Eddie Crank
As John is talking .. Victor Price begins walking down the ramp
John: Here we go .. thank you for coming Mr Price. As you can see I beat MJ Malone, and I went pee in that cup and now I want a title match because I won my match
Victor is in the ring and face to face with John
Victor doesn't say anything. He just stares at John.
Aiello: I don't think this is going to end well for John here tonight
Bennett: The tension in this building is at an all time high right now ..
Victor continues to stare .. not even blinking
John: Mr Price .. I just want ..
Victor drops John Blade with a massive right hook to the face
John lays on the mat .. clearly dazed .. Victor simply turns around and exits the ring
Aiello: Um, well .. I think John got his answer
Bennett: I don't think that he did Joe .. I think John should ask Vic one more time
Carter: Folks .. we will be back with more BRAWL .. right after these messages

NON TITLE - WEAPONS ENCOURAGED MATCH
VALORA THOMAS
VS EDDIE CRANK
VALORA THOMAS
VS EDDIE CRANK
Aiello: In our next match we will see a clash between two wrestlers who both started out in mixed martial arts and were extremely successful there. Factor in their recent history and I would expect some very wild and fast-paced action.
Carter: As our World Champ Drake once said: MMA and wrestling are two different mindsets and mixed martial artists conduct their business a bit differently.
Bennett: Ya mean Eddie Crank – the guy who holds not one but two UFC belts will conduct his business with Miss Twiggy. Might be there´s another funeral soon – hers.
Carter: You picked up that nickname pretty fast didn´t you? Name´s Valora Thomas and I don´t think it will be that one-sided.
Jessica Stroup: Ladies and gentlemen. Our next first contest is scheduled! First to enter the ring … from Phoenix Arizona, weighting in at 145 pounds… VALORA THOMAS!!!
Kick In The Teeth by Papa Roach plays and Valora comes out with her manager, Mick, behind her. As she heads down the aisle toward the ring, Mick remains behind her, giving her last minute instructions and motivational utterings. She tags hands here and there before running up the steps and entering into the ring, where she goes about doing some boxing and kicks that ooooh and awe the fans. As her music dies, she goes to her corner and engages in some more warm up exercises.
The EWC cameras take us backstage where Eddie Crank, followed by his coach and the rest of his team, is marching towards the entrance as ‘Foggy Dew’ echoes in the arena.
Eddie is prancing around, practicing his footwork as he goes, throwing air punches and having a good time. The Irish in the audience are having an even bigger blast than Eddie is, donning Irish colors and painting the entire arena green, orange and white.
Eddie’s theme switches from ‘Foggy Dew’ to ‘Unchained’ and the crowd goes wilder and wilder by the second while Eddie makes his way to the ring, barely having any space around him thanks to his crew and the Irish fans trying to touch and high five him.
Crank starts circling the ring and talking trash, warming up for the fight with a smile on his face.
Eddie starts shadow boxing and kicking, practicing over his movements and getting nice and limber for the fight.
Jessica Stroup: And her opponent from Dublin Ireland, weighting in at 165 pounds, the EWC X-Division Champion known as the Whizzer …. EDDIE CRANK!!!
Carter: Looks like neither of them felt really encouraged to bring a weapon to the ring.
Bennett: Eddie IS one fokkin´ son o´bitch weapon. The girl might just be dumb to face him without an advantage. He made it so clear he´s gonna bust her face out of the back of her head with his left.
Carter: She didn´t look that dumb last week when she NAT 20´ed Jack Tillman. Even you were impressed. And I don´t agree with Eddie that emotion like friendship is a disadvantage in the ring.
DING! DING! DING!
Both wrestlers start things surprisingly cautious by circling each other. Valora and Eddie look all business and save their breath for something better than trash talk.
Finally the Whizzer makes his move. He lungs forward and starts to fire straight lefts and rights at Valora´s face. He´s pressing the attack so hard that Valora has to retreat backwards almost into the ropes. That is until she starts to fire kicks at Eddie´s thighs to stop his momentum while getting her face out of harm’s way.
Aiello: It looks like Eddie is going for an early and decisive kill here.
Bennett: He´s just showing who´s boss in the ring.
Carter: Or maybe he´s taking his best chance. If this match drags on Valora might just burn out his endurance.
Valora changes her angle of attack by pivoting on the ball of her feet to drive a Spinning Heel kick into Eddie Cranks right inner knee while the X-Division champ is once again punching thin air.
Eddie staggers. He does not crash but his forward movement is stopped and his head is low enough that Valora can comfortably transition her last attack into a snap kick right into Eddie´s chin.
Aiello: A very efficient move combo. Eddie is more intimidating at this point but Valora is more economic.
Carter: Maybe Eddie´s was a bit wrong about who is more emotional about this match.
Bennett: Crap. It all counts for nothing if the ballerina can´t hurt him.
Indeed Eddie Crank is far from out. He blocks another snap kick with his crossed forearms and while Valora pulls back her leg too fast for Eddie to grab it and attempt a throw he still has enough time now to get up, favoring his right leg only so slightly.
His next flurry of punches is met by Valora who performs a drop kick to right knee and as Eddie goes down puts him into a kneebar. Eddie twitches in pain as the submission hold damages his right knee even further but the pain can´t stop him from kicking out with his free leg until one kick connects with Valora´s face and breaks the hold.
Both fighters scramble back to their feet. Eddie is a little slower but now the Whizzer has murder in his eyes.
Aiello: Seems like Valora has a plan. She´s focusing on the reach of her legs and on paralyzing one part of Eddie´s body.
Bennett: You mean she´s focused on making Crank mad. He´s going to punch the living daylights out of her now.
Carter: Or maybe he´ll get some of his respect for Valora back.
Being the first to regain sure footing this time Thomas does not wait for another punch combo but leaps on the top rope and comes at Eddie Crank with a Missile Dropkick that knocks him right back onto the canvas and right into a grapevine ankle lock again targeting his right leg.
As much as the move might hurt Valora has overlooked how close they are both to the ropes. Eddie reaches out and hooks three fingers into the bottom rope. Ref Daniels immediately calls for a stop and Valor has to release the Whizzer.
Crank gets up, smirking despite the punishment his leg and knee have taken. He taps his temple with his index finger, indicating that it takes brains and forethought aside from wrestling moves to win a match.
He proves his point when a riled-up Valora comes for him with Shining Wizard and this time it is Edie to dodge the move and land a left-right combination in Valora´s lower back while she is still airborne. The Phoenix native crashes hard into the ropes, is thrown back and lands hard on her knees, dazed by the double impact.
Aiello: Now that hit her right into the kidneys it seems.
Bennett: Looks like the beginning of the end for Twiggy.
Carter: Not so fast. If she couldn't take that she would not be here to begin with.
Eddie Crank grabs Valora's jaw and neck from behind, yanks her up and spins her around to hit her with a straight let right out of hell.
The moment before Eddie´s monster punch connects Valora drops down into the splits, and pops back, leaping high into the air and driving her knee deep into Eddie´s jaw.
Having accomplished what her Wizard didn´t do Valora follows through with her Three Steps of Death, karate chop to Eddies neck, a Spinning Backfist to his face and a Palm Strike that leaves him groggy and with a bleeding nose.
Valora throws herself backwards into the ropes and comes bouncing back to lay Crank out with her Nat 20 right into the side of his head. She then rolls out of the ring, grabs a chair, slides back in and with all her might slams the chair down hard on Cranks face .. not once .. not twice .. but three times
Now the cover

Jessica Stroup: And the winner of this match … VALORA THOMAS!!!!
Aiello: Now that was one comeback even more impressive than last week. Seems that Thomas is at her best when she is cornered with all her chips down.
Bennett: Valora knew what she needed to do to win .. and 3 chair shots to the head certainly helps her cause
Carter: Eddie is busted open pretty badly .. I can't imagine he's going to take this loss very well at all
Bennett: Valora earned this victory tonight, and she might be well on her way to a title shot. Taking out the Champ usually does that for you
Carter: Give Valora credit for sure, but Crank just didn't seem himself tonight .. and it showed in the end. Maybe working every show has finally got to him. The X-Division is not easy, and to fight week after week after week .. maybe he just burnt out tonight. Or maybe .. just maybe .. Valora is the real deal here folks
Aiello: So this wraps up the fourth match of the night. We´ll be right back after the break for the Main Event.
INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
30 MINUTE IRON MAN MATCH
AMIS SHELTON
VS CATHARSIS
VS CATHARSIS
Aiello: Welcome back to Monday Night Brawl .. Well it's been a great show thus far, and what an incredible match Valora and Crank put on for us .. it will be hard to top that's for sure
Bennett: We are about to have Amis Shelton Vs Catharsis for the second week in a row .. this time .. the International Championship is on the line
Carter: Both men clearly hate each other and Catharsis has taken a lot of heat, being called a place holder champion .. and tonight he wants to prove those people wrong
Aiello: Amis on his part wants to prove he earned this shot, despite the loss last week and being handed the match by our new BRAWL GM
Stroup: Our Main Events is a 30 Minute Iron Man Match ... for the EWC International Championship
The crowd cheers
Stroup: Coming out first .. the challenger .. from Springfield, Illinois .. Standing 5'10" and 200 Lbs .. Amis Shelton!
The crowd boos at this name and start chanting
SHELTON
SUCKS
SHELTON
SUCKS
SHELTON
SUCKS
The lights in the arena dim, causing the fans in the arena to murmur amongst themselves.. The murmurs cease when the beginning of Killswitch Engage's 'End of Heartache' hits the speakers.
"Seek me, call me.
I'll be waiting..."
As the scream kicks in, Amis Shelton emerges from behind the curtain to a chorus of boos from the capacity crowd! The boos are met with a look of disdain from Amis as he nonchalantly strolls down the ramp towards the ring.
Amis climbs onto the apron and hops over the top rope and climbs a turnbuckle, aggressively outstretching his arms which generates more boos from the fans. Amis throws out insults to the crowd members before climbing off the turnbuckle and warming up on the spot.
Stroup: And his opponent .. from Tokyo, Japan but now residing in Chicago .. standing 6'3" .. and 210 LBS .. he is .. the EWC International Champion .. CATHARSIS
CA-THAR-SIS
CA-THAR-SIS
CA-THAR-SIS
CA-THAR-SIS
CA-THAR-SIS
The guitar riff streaks across the speakers like a mad flame as the lights pulsate and flicker. A figure emerges through the curtain with a determined and melodic pace. He stands at the ramp entrance, looking over the crowd with a sly smirk. As the guitar solo breaks, he tilts his head back, extends both arms with clenched fist, and releases a primal scream in sync with the one roaring from the speakers. "Mouth like Sidewinder Missiles" commands the crowds, and the roar of approval from the masses drives him to the ring. Catharsis makes his way to the ring with the International Title strapped to his waist, the smirk never wavering, his head nodding in approval. He slides under the bottom rope, jumps to his feet and rushes the turnbuckle, leaping to the second rung. As the song transitions into another guitar solo, he sits down atop the top, drops his head momentarily in silence respect, then explode up with both arms to each side, screaming to the crowd once more. He steps down to the mat, hands his championship over and stands ready for Shelton
Aiello: Here we go folks!
Bennett: This should be a good one
DING DING DING
00:00:01
As both men meet in the center of the ring and the ref begins to instruct them, Catharsis slaps the beejezus out of Amis in the face. Shelton responds with a headbutt in Catharsis's nose, causing him to stagger back. Amis puts him down on the mat with a double leg takedown, and pummles Catharsis with alternating punches, followed by an axehandle punch to the face. Amis begins to choke Catharsis with his shin, and the ref pulls him off after hitting the 5 count.
Aiello: Amis doing all that he can to try and rattle the International Champion
Bennett: I like how aggressive he is coming out here
Carter: Amis will need to dig deep here tonight. Catharsis certainly had the upper hand last week
Amis wastes no time; he whips the International Champion into the turnbuckle so hard, Catharsis nearly falls on his face after impact. As Catharsis staggers about, Amis climbs the top turnbuckle, waits for Catharsis to turn around, and nails the Champ with a spear!
Aiello: Shelton nails the champ with a major spear right there ..
Bennett: More moves like that and he should remain in control of this match

Kickout by Shelton.
Aiello: It was almost 2-0 folks
Catharsis is furious, as he screams at the ref about a slow three count. He picks Shelton up, but Shelton lays into his midsection with forearm shots. Catharsis responds by kneeing Shelton in the face. He takes a moment to admire the blood flowing from Shelton, and bounces off the ropes again, trying to take his head off with a lariat. But Shelton ducks, and on the rebound, catches Catharsis with a Samoan drop. Shelton is obviously woozy from the concentrated assault on his head, but he manages to mount Catharsis, and then... a beatdown!
Bennett: Amis is furious! He's trying to literally pound Catharsis's face into the canvas with those blows.
Aiello: Amis is trying to prove himself here tonight .. prove he deserves to be in this match
Carter: The Champion is taking a beating right now
Now, both men are bloody messes, but Shelton gets up, and is roaring. He drops a vicious Bionic Elbow on the back of Catharsis's neck, then knees him in the gut, and drops Catharsis with a gut-wrench powerbomb .. he follows that up with a Highwind Crash! Cover by Shelton...

He works Catharsis like a speedbag, then whips him back to the opposite corner. Shelton comes in with a shoulder charge, but Catharsis boots him in the face. as Shelton is spun around, Catharsis springboards off the top rope, and connects flush with a spinning heel kick to the jaw. Aiello: What agility and ring presence by Catharsis!
Bennett: Well, he's the Champ for a reason and he's trying to prove to the world that he is the Champion we deserve and not a placeholder
Carter: Catharsis has done an excellent job tonight with being smart, and taking advantage of every moment he can
Catharsis is livid, as he slaps the mat in rage. Shelton is laid out flat on his back ... Catharsis goes for the finishing blow as he climbs the turnbuckle ... he's clearly a little weakened by the loss of blood .. Catharsis, with blood trickling down his face, attempts a moonsault, but Amis puts both knees up, and Catharsis crashes down on them, howling in pain and clutching his ribs.
Aiello: Ohhh .. the Champ is hurt

Bennett: The Champ with the lead and the lock winding down .. Amis might have lost yet another shot at a title
Carter: All the International Champion needs to do now, is play it smart and not get pinned
Bennett: Screw that .. he needs to stay on offense and go for the win
Finally, both men get up at the same time, and trade shots like it was happy hour. Catharsis briefly wins the exchange, then attempts to set up Amis for a brainbuster. But Amis powers out; he lands gingerly behind Catharsis, turns him around, and doubles Catharsis over with a knee to the solar plexus. Aiello: Amis came so close to tying this up
Bennett: Time is running out on Amis
Exhausted Amis slaps the mat in frustration, but regains his composure. he whips Catharsis into the corner and nearly knocks him back down with a running elbow smash. Amis lays into him with punches in the corner. Amis rears back, and runs at him, trying to connect with a Yakuza kick, but hits nothing but turnbuckle as Catharsis slips away. Amis grabs at his leg which appears to be giving him some trouble. Meanwhile, Catharsis wearily climbs the turnbuckle all the way to the top. He reaches all the way to 8 before Catharsis gets up first, stomping a kneeling Amis Shelton in the head. Catharsis climbs the turnbuckle again, clasps his hands into a double axehandle, and leaps in the air. Amazingly, Amis gathers his wits long enough to catch Catharsis in the air...and lands a nasty spinning spine buster that shakes the ring! Amis drops again, and Catharsis clutching his back once again
Aiello: Ladies and gentlemen, if anybody has the nerve to question Shelton's guts, then you are obviously NOT watching this match. Both these men are digging deep to win this bout, and Pittsburgh is showing it's love right now!
Bennett: This is unbelievable .. and we are down to the final two minutes
After another near ten count by the ref, both men, almost empty in the gas tank, stagger up to their feet. They begin to trade blows like Balboa and Creed in the ring. Catharsis once again wins this sparring contest, and tries to set up Amis for yet another Dream Shatterer. But Amis wrangles his way out. He gets behind Catharsis, punches him in the back, hoists him up into a Lawn Dart!
Aiello: Even I didn't think he could muster enough to get that off!
Bennett: Cover him Amis! What the hell are you waiting for ?

Bennett: Amis is just seconds away from becoming the International Champion
Carter: Wait .. is that .. Victor Price is ring side .. I didn't even see him come out
Catharsis still hasn't moved ... Amis has rolled onto his back and breathes heavily
Aiello: I sure hope Victor didn't have a hand in those lights and Amis ending up on Catharsis
Bennett: Time's up! We have a new Champion
DING DING DING
Jessica Stroup: Winner by a score of 3-2 .. and NEW EWC International Champion .. Amis Shelton!
Victor Price begins to clap and cheer as the ref hands the Championship over to Amis who is slow to his feet
Aiello: This is unbelievable .. Amis Shelton is a our new International Champion
Bennett: He did what he had to do .. he survived and got the final pin
Carter: Catharsis gave it his all tonight. He was outstanding, and .. well I'd be asking for a review of the tapes because .. I don't know about this victory by Shelton tonight
Bennett: You and your conspiracy's .. come on kid .. enjoy the night .. Amis is our International Champion and he earned it
Amis is able to raise the belt over his head and then hugs it as we fade to commercial. Catharsis is now sitting upwards holding his head as the medics look him over
Aiello: What an incredible Monday Night Brawl folks. Episode Four Hundred and Eighty is now in the books. Next week we will be heading to Rogers Arena in what should be another excellent show
Suddenly the fans stand up and stare at the stage.
Aiello: Wait … I am receiving word … what’s this?
The camera feed switches to the parking lot area as a dark black Dodge Challenger pulls in with a sudden stop. The headlight shut off and the engine powers down..
Bennett: Who in the hell could that be?!
Carter: The show is over … someone must have forgotten to tell the driver. Wait, is that… IS IT?!!
The door swings open… and DRAKE STEPS OUT!!
Aiello: IT IS!!! IT IS!!! THE CHAMP HAS RETURNED!!!!
The fans literally scream in happiness as the EWC Undisputed Champion, Drake, slams his car door and arches his neck. He walks towards the arena door, a heavy leg brace wrapped around his knee. Yanking the door open, the camera pans around Drake and follows him as he walks into the building with a slight limp. Around him, various EWC Employees see him and smile, showing their support, as Drake says nothing in return. Making a right, Drake heads towards another hallway where he finds himself face to face with President Mac… and Brawl GM Victor Price!!
The fans REALLY get loud now as Drake nods as Mac and then proceeds to glare at Price. President Mac smiles as he offers Drake a handshake, one that is accepted quickly and returned.
President Mac: Glad to have you back, Champ. Damn glad to have you back ..
Drake: I have an announcement to make, mate.
President Mac: You know where the ring is, brother. Go make it.
Drake nods and proceeds to walk away when suddenly Victor Price holds out his large arm and blocks Drake’s path. Drake stops and grits his teeth as Victor smiles.
Price: Drake is it? I'm Victor Price .. General Manager of Monday Night Brawl
Drake: Then be a smart one … and move your arm.
Price: I see what looks to be a brace on your leg, and I am well aware of your recent absence due to injuries in the ring. I am afraid that I just can’t risk you getting hurt in my ring tonight. You should come back at a better time, when you look more strong. You know .. like a champion of the world should.
The fans begin to boo as Drake slowly turns to face Price.
Drake: Three.
Victor smiles as President Mac grabs his shoulder.
President Mac: Vic, let Drake address the fans .. do you not have ears? They are calling his name right now
Victor: It’s the EWC’S night .. not one man’s. Besides, what does the number three have to do with anything?
Drake: Two ….
The fans begin to cheer as President Mac shakes his head, knowing that things are about to go very badly for the General Manager.
President Mac: Vic, I'm not asking .. let Drake pass
Price: Fine. This one time Drake .. but you and I are going to have a conversation ..
Drake smirks and pushes past Victor, leaving him in his dust as he storms towards the ring.
Price: That son of a bitch is going to be a real problem
President Mac: Vic, Drake is the EWC Undisputed Champion. If he wants to go out and speak .. he gets to go out and speak
Walking up the wooden steps, Drake pushes through the curtains as his theme song begins to play loudly! Right away, the entire arena bursts into cheers and screams as Drake stops on the stage, looking around the arena!
Aiello: There he is … the Champion of the World. He has been gone for sometime. Tonight, he is here to finally make his announcement.
Carter: Retirement … that’s my bet.
Bennett: Or … his return. Never count a guy like Drake out.
Carter: Look at his leg, man? It’s still bundled up pretty badly.
Aiello: Well folks, we are going overtime tonight it seems! Strap yourself back into your seats because things are about to get interesting again.
Walking down the rampway, Drake slaps the open hands that reach out for him. He then heads up the metal steps and enters the ring to a thunderous applause! Placing his hands on his hips, he soaks in the cheers as a smirk spreads across his face! Finally, a microphone is handed to him…
Drake: Okay … okay. Let’s get to the point.
The fans cheer a bit longer before quieting down.
Drake: My knee is doing much better. Hell, the doctor’s tell me that the bloody thing is almost is prime shape once more. A few weeks is what they say. An injury such as this can cause a bloke to rethink things though. You know, go deep mentally? For the last few weeks, I have been questioning whether I want to do this anymore. Is it worth it? Am I … done. I mean, I have achieved everything that a man can in the industry now. What’s left? Retirement might be the smart move in the scheme of things.
The fans begin to plead for Drake to stay! Drake paces the ring as the fans continue to let him have it.
Drake: I was never the kind of guy to recognize the smart play though. I always seem to take the hardest path throughout life.
The fans begin to cheer loudly!!
Drake: What I am trying to say is …. For those that don’t know me …. My name is Ashton Drake. I am your EWC Undisputed Champion of the World … and .. I …. AM …. BACK!!!!
Drake suddenly rips off the knee brace and throws it into the fans!!! The entire arena erupts with cheers to the point that the television screen shakes!! Smirking now, Drake walks over to the center of the ring and raises the microphone to his lips.
Drake: A lot of things have changed in the company in my absence. I mean, Catharsis won the International Championship at One Night Encounter
The fans suddenly begin to boo as Drake smiles.
Drake: Oh come on … give the guy a break. He still fought like a man a warrior to win that strap. He should be treated not as an interim champion … but as a… wait a second I almost forgot. That dude shit talked me. I think he said that he would beat me when I returned and prove that he was the champ or something to that extent, didn’t he? (Drake digs into his ear with his finger.) Apparently the EWC has been hiring comedians lately? I don’t know … Catharsis didn't do too well tonight now did he?
Then there is Amis … apparently our NEW NEW EWC International Champion
Amis, you tried to take credit for my injury. Well played, Sir. Sadly, like your career wins record, not everything is as it seems. You won tonight. Congrats. Your a Champion once again. However I am going to make this nice and easy for you. We are going to step back into that ring again, preferably next week if possible, and I am going to give you the opportunity to back up all of that in the ring with me … once again … one on one. Know this though. I am at 100% again. I also now have a reason to rip your spine out and wear it as a tie. Every heard the expression … never wake up a sleeping bear?
The fans stand up and cheer as Drake paces the ring.
Drake: I have just one more thing to say. Eddie Crank … thank you. You are not only a damn good competitor, but a man that I respect. Your advice was accepted and well needed. I owe you.
My name is Drake. I am the EWC Undisputed Champion of the world and this …. This is OUR story.
Drake drops the mic as his theme song begins to play once again! The fans go crazy as he exits the ring and walks up the ramp. Once at the stage area he turns around and points at the fans before heading backstage.
Carter: Amazing .. The Champ has returned.
Aiello: I am absolutely stunned. What a hell of a way to return. Drake is 100% and back in action. Business has just picked up again. That’s it for Monday Night Brawl. Tune in next week and see what comes next …. I know I will.
The feed slowly fades out as it pans backstage. Standing in front of a a TV Monitor is Victor Price with a drink in one hand. He shakes his head disapprovingly as he speaks..
Price: Not on my show... champ. Not on my show
