Aiello: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the beginning of a new era here on Monday Night Brawl! I'm Joe Aiello alongside Max Carter and Steve Bennett, and Scars and Stripes is in our rearview mirror as we look ahead to Night of Champions next month! We'll be discussing the finer details of this amazing Pay-Per-View event later on, but tonight we're in for a jam-packed night of action as the superstars of all four brands find themselves colliding on this occasion!
Carter: That's right Joe, not only are the stars of Brawl and Rampage here in Nashville, but we have a special treat for you tonight in what Jim Connors has labeled the EWC Summit as Brawl's Kenneth Williams and Rampage's Mark Storm join in battle with Draco Lazarus of FSW and Joe Porter of PRIME in a Fatal Four-Way to see what brand can come out on top this night!
Bennett: Damn right, son! On top of that we've got two guys looking to tear into each other after losing their championships at Scars and Stripes, as Dominic Sanders takes on Kendrick Kross! Dom's got a hell of an ax to grind after losing his Undisputed Championship, and K2 is still livid after losing the X-Division Championship...but only one of these men is gonna get that almighty W tonight!
Aiello: Not only is this match important for both men's egos, but there is always the potential for one of them to inch their way back to title contention! The same goes for the rest of the night, as we're building toward what will surely be an exciting Night of Champions! On the topic of fallout from Scars and Stripes, we've got Cyrus Black teaming with Gabrielle Visconty, no doubt angry after losing her chance to earn an International Championship opportunity...these two will have to get along as they face the makeshift team of Bill Bashem and Hush! Bashem's dreams of winning the Golden Ticket were dashed by Hush, who has made it pretty clear that his intentions with the ticket are pure of heart...but that doesn't mean the current champions shouldn't look over their shoulder!
Carter: A match that has vastly different implications tonight is a triple threat between Scorpio, Iggy Swango, and the Titaness herself, Samantha Hamilton! On Rampage we saw ReBelle and America's Most Hated battle to a rare time limit draw, and tonight we see representatives from those team as well as one of the Shieldmaidens in what Connors has promised will determine the, well...
Bennett: Well hell, Carter, don't be afraid to call it what it is...one of these three will be considered the baddest bitch on the planet, and frankly I've got my money on the lone Brawl representative of the bunch! Throw in a double Brawl debut as Choc Lesnar takes on Solomon Cain, and our main event which sees our new X-Division Champion in non-title action as Stephanie Matsuda takes on Xavier Reid, and you've got yourself a hell of a Brawl to get us on the road to Night of Champions!
The scene fades in to the backstage interview stage, where Bob Murray is waiting patiently, Brawl-branded microphone in hand. The camera is in too tight to see who he’s with, though Bob seems somewhat daunted and awed at the same time. After an awkward moment’s pause he seems to finally realise he’s on air, coughs, and speaks.
Bob Murray: Uh, hello and welcome back to another electrifying episode of Monday Night Brawl! I’m currently backstage with a man who usually needs no introduction, but after his surprise return to dominate the Scars and Stripes Falls Count Anywhere Scramble only a couple weeks ago, it brings me great pleasure to welcome back the Rough-Housing Rogue... Captain Morgan Darkwater!!
The camera pulls away to take in the pirate captain in all his roguish, charming glory, resplendent in his usual dark-crimson, gold-embroidered garb, tri-cornered hat tilted casually to one side as he looks down at the interviewer with a confident, dashing smile. He nods in appreciation of the introduction and starts to speak.
Captain Darkwater: Aye, well let me be th’ first to thank ye fer –
His voice trails off as the raucous cheers and chants of the audience finally make their way back stage.
WELCOME BACK!
WELCOME BACK!
The Captain pauses for a moment, smiling and nodding fondly as the fans gradually calm down, then begins again.
Captain Darkwater: Let me be th’ first to thank ye – the EWC Universe – fer such an amazin’ welcome! It truly is great t’ be back, Mr Murray, if I do say so me’self... I missed th’ energy o’ these diehard fans, th’ thrill o’ th’ fight, an’ th’ call - not only to adventure, but to even greater treasures an’ feats as yet unimagined! Now, don’t get me wrong, I know full well I left this brand an’ th’ EWC Universe as a whole on... unfavourable terms last year, an’ I don’t just expect e’eryone to welcome back th’ Captain with open arms. There will come a time when my darker past is pulled up to the spotlight’s scrutinisin’ glare, but tonight be not that night... no! Tonight be cause fer celebration – not o’ me return an’ victory at Scars and Stripes, but o’ another man’s success...
There’s a pause as he gives the fans watching time to guess who he might be referring to, then continues.
Captain Darkwater: I be speakin’, o’course, o’ none other than “The Gambler” Ace King, not only still EWC’s United States champion, but finally – FINALLY – our new Undisputed Champion! When ye talk o’ underdog stories, Mr Murray, they don’t come much better in our business than that o’ Mr King’s, if I dare say so me’self... Why, ye’d almost fer’give me t’ say I’ve lost track o’ th’ number o’ times our Mr King’s been given a shot – nay, earned each shot at the most prestigious title in our company, if not th’ entire wrestlin’ world! An’ each time, through hell an’ poor fortune, th’ man came up short, each time takin’ us all on a powerful, emotional dervish of a struggle... each wit’ th’ same, heart-breakin’ conclusion... until now!
He pauses again, this time smiling as he takes in the proud and exuberant cheers of the crowd, not for him, but for our new Champion.
KING! KING! KING!
KING! KING! KING!
Captain Darkwater: King! King! Aye, let th’ man hear it! Shower him wit’ th’ adoration an’ acclaim he truly deserves! Fer ne’er has there been a man in this company who put e’erything he had on th’ line, time an’ again, wit’ th’ same bloody-minded determination as th’ first time he challenged fer that Undisputed gold... an’ sure, th’ man had his lows, his periods o’ almost cripplin’ doubt o’er his ability an’ own self-worth... there were times when he felt, truly, that he would never get t’ embrace that sweet gold he’d been longin’ fer fer so long – but in th’ end, he persevered! He knuckled-down! He swung fer th’ fences again an’ again an’ again until, finally, those fences broke down.... an’ now here he be.
There’s more cheering for Ace King, but this time the Captain’s accompanying nods and smiles slowly fade to a look of determined resolve as he fixed the camera with a steely gaze.
Captain Darkwater: But ye see, Mr King... I’m afraid th’ Captain weren’t bein’ one-hundred percent honest before, when he claimed he wasn’t out here fer himself tonight. Fer ye see, last Friday not only saw ye on Rampage as the new Undisputed Champion... but it also saw ye retainin’ that highly treasured an’ regarded United States Championship o’ yers, th’ one ye’ve been holdin’ onto fer well before th’ good Captain has personally known ye... an’ that’s no mean feat in itself, Mr King! Not tryin’ te diminish either grand accomplishment o’ yers, nay... But here be th’ thing, Mr King... it may have easily slipped yer attention, on th’ big night o’ Scars and Stripes, when ye must ‘ave been so bloody-minded an’ focused as ye always are on those ultimate Main Events... But Captain Morgan Darkwater also won his big match that night, Mr King, an’ with it... a contract fer a future title shot o’ my choice.
Bob Murray, perhaps unwisely, chooses this moment to pull the microphone away from the Captain, as the crowds once again begin to slowly rise in excitement at the things Morgan is suggesting. Every the professional interviewer, Bob voices what everyone is thinking.
Bob Murray: But... but Captain Darkwater... Surely you can’t be suggesting that you’re challenging Ace King for...
But the Captain tears the microphone from Murray’s hands and steps in front of him.
Captain Morgan: I be suggestin’ precisely that, Mr Murray, but don’t interrupt th’ Captain when he be buildin’ up th’ EWC Universe t’ fever-pitch... Mr Ace King! Th’ Captain be a reasonable man, by an’ by, so don’t fret – I have no intention o’ challengin’ ye fer th’ Undisputed Championship ye’ve worked so hard fer all these years. Nay, he’s going t’ let ye savour an’ enjoy that well-deserved victory and position... But th’ King holds two crowns, an’ that simply won’t do, nay. See, with this contract, I coulda returned to challenge Mr Black here on Brawl fer a second-run with th’ International title; th' title I held once before fer a record-breakin’ time – but th’ Captain ain't lookin’ t’ relive past glories right now, Mr King! NAY! He be lookin’ squarely at ye, an’ that United States championship ye yer’self have held onto fer well over a year – a record th’ Captain fully intends t’ break with that very title!
Chest heaving with the raw energy he’s generated in the fans you can now hear chanting “HOLY SHIT!” over and over, the Captain nods eagerly and raises the microphone to his lips once more.
Captain Morgan: What do ye say, Mr King? Ye be already booked fer th’ Main Event o’ Night of Champions, but th’ Captain can be a patient man, so have ye fun, enjoy ye time as double-crown champion, but just know what the horizon holds fer ye..... I be talkin’ you an’ I, Captain vs King, EWC Rumble 2019... fer th’ United States Championship!!
He lets the challenge hang in the air for a moment, revelling in the shock and ecstatic cheers he can hear from the arena, then concludes.
Captain Morgan: ... Well? What say ye, Mr King?
With the challenge officially issued, he practically thrusts the microphone back in Murray’s arms and saunters confidently off-screen. Bob looks completely taken aback and awe-struck for a moment, before quickly coming back to his senses.
Bob Murray: Wow, you heard it here first, folks! With his contractual title opportunity from winning the Scars and Stripes Scramble, the Captain has set his sights firmly on Ace King’s United States Championship, a title King has held since Uncensored 2017. The proposed date for their confrontation? EWC’s Rumble. The challenge: a singles match for the US title on the line, a one-on-one confrontation the EWC has never seen before.... The question: will EWC’s Ultimate Gambler see the Captain’s challenge? Stay tuned for more!

A DOUBLE BRAWL DEBUT!
[SINGLES MATCH]
Choc Lesnar
VS Solomon Cain
VS Solomon Cain
Aiello: Folks, we're kicking off Brawl with a double debut as Choc Lesnar looks to get some momentum after his appearance at Scars and Stripes, taking on Solomon Cain!
Stroup: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first...
"I Need Five" plays over the PA, getting a nice little pop from the crowd as Choc Lesnar makes his way toward the ring.
Stroup: From Tampa, Florida, weighing in at...
Before Jessica can finish, Choc is jumped from behind by a man wearing a hooded sweater, who pummels the big man with lefts and rights! The stranger grabs Lesnar, throwing him against the barricade near the ramp before they both make their way to the ring. The hooded man slides his adversary into the ring before taking off the hood to reveal himself...
Aiello: It's Cain! Solomon Cain has decided not to waste any time tonight, immediately attacking Choc Lesnar in our opening bout!
DING DING DING
Cain continues the attack after the bell rings to start the match, refusing to let up as he sends Lesnar to the corner before laying into the Muscle Man with some hard punches and kicks. The ref starts counting to five to get Cain away, and the Lost Child steps away at three to satisfy the ref's warning. Lesnar gathers himself enough to charge at Cain--CURTAIN FALLS! Cain just nailed Lesnar with a nasty V-Trigger that sends Lesnar back, but Cain doesn't let him get away as he pulls him in--BURNOUT! Cain with a Package Piledriver, and that's all she wrote as Cain goes for the cover: 1...2...3!
Stroup: Here is your winner via pinfall...Solomon Cain!
Aiello: Wow, what an impressive win for Solomon Cain in his debut on Brawl! He just decimated Choc Lesnar tonight, I can only imagine what the rest of the locker room is thinking right now.
Bennett: I can tell you exactly what they're thinking, Joe...oh shit, the Lost Child is gonna murder me on live television!
Carter: You have to think he's gonna quickly climb up the ranks here, and it's only a matter of time before he gets himself a shot at some gold.
Aiello: Indeed, and as the Lost Child looks to continue on this path we have to take a quick break. When we come back...
The camera opens backstage where Bob Murrey is standing outside the locker room of Xavier Reid, he knocks and peeks his head in…
Murray: Xavier...hello it’s Bob Murray…
Xavier, who is with his cousins Tlatoani and Chiquitita Volando all look at Bob with some confusion…
Chiquitita: Can we help you with something…
Murray: I’m here for Xavier…
Tlatoani: Oh...well Xavier does Meet and Greet’s before the shows and if he’s feeling generous after the shows on his way to his rental car but NEVER during the show...so we are going to need you to leave pal…
Murray: No, I’m not here for a Meet and Greet, I’m here to interview him...I work for Brawl…
Tlatoani: Brian Spade does the backstage interviews…
Murray: Not anymore, I replaced him here on Brawl, Spade is Rampage exclusive…
Tlatoani: Jeez...you miss one little show and it’s like they bring in all new faces…
Chiquitita: New GM…
Tlatoani: New Backstage Talking Head…
Chiquitita: New Parking Garage Dude…
Tlatoani: Well that’s because we are in a new town...Brawl doesn’t bring their own parking lot people...but I’m pretty sure they replaced the lady that spoons out the Mac n Cheese at Craft Services…
Murray: Guys this is all entertaining but I need a few words with Xavier and the clock is ticking...we are live and the people in the production truck are telling me to get on with things so...Xavier tonight you face off with the NEWLY crowned X-Division Champion Stephanie Matsuda…
Reid: Did we confirm she made it here tonight…
Murray: We aren’t going to talk about another company here tonight Xavier, we are only concerned about the main event here on Brawl…
Reid: As am I...that’s why I was here and not in LA last night...I know what this match means and yeah...it’s a non-title match but I’m treating it like a title match...I want Stephanie to know that I’m coming for her...for that X-Division Championship and after I beat her out there in that ring I’m naming myself the Number One Contender...I’ll even take a page out of the Kyle Gautier book...hell I might even ask him to make me a sash but I’m coming for her the second Night of Champions is over...so I hope she enjoys her time as the X-Division Championship because...
But the screen cuts out for a second to two with the image we say this past Friday night on Rampage... Bob Murray pauses and holds his finger to his ear as someone in the production truck is telling him something but it’s Tlatoani who speaks up…
Tlatoani: Xavier…
Tlatoani points at the TV in the room to the LIVE shot where the feed has gone back to the LIVE shot before cutting out again to the static
The shot cuts back to the LIVE feed but Xavier storms past Bob Murrey and out of the locker room…
Aiello: And I’m being told Xavier is heading this way...
Bennett: Well we saw that cryptic message that whoever attacked Luke Wolfe and Annabelle was coming here tonight to finish off The Trinity and put Xavier Reid in the hospital bed next to his former...well Family...
Carter: Well it doesn’t look like Xavier is going to be waiting around to be attacked...because here he comes…
Without his music Xavier marched down towards the ring and is already motioning for a microphone and as he reaches ringside Jessica Stroup is waiting and hands Xavier the mic as he storms up the steps and climbs into the ring…
Reid: HEY...HEY YOU WANT ME...YOU WANT TO ADD ME TO THE LIST WELL HERE I AM...GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE AND LET’S DO THIS…
Xavier’s two cousins Tlatoani and Chiquitita come out from the back and head towards the ring but they didn’t come empty handed...Tlatoani is carrying a chair and Chiquitita a baseball bat wrapped in barbwire...they make it ringside and roll into the ring and stand next to Xavier as a united front…
Reid: COME ON YOU SON OF A BITCH...WHAT ARE YOU…
But before Xavier can finish the lights inside the Bridgestone Arena go out and the jumbotron pops to life with the images of a storm rolling in…
And then the screen cuts away to the static with DEATH across the screen
Smoke begins to raise around the top of the stage as a deep voice echoes out inside the arena
Deep Voice: Luke Wolfe and Annabelle suffered at my hands, they suffered in the most brutal of ways and now still lay in the hospital bed, unable to care for themselves, in need of round the clock care, I purged the EWC of the Wolfe’s and tonight I come for you Xavier Reid, to finish off the Trinity once and for all...DEATH HAS ARRIVED!!!
And with that final announcement ‘DEATH’ walks out onto the stage in the form of a person in a hooded cloak, the cloaked figure reached out their hands and two other hooded figures walk out onto the stage and stands next to ‘DEATH’...
Aiello: These are the ones that attacked Luke and Annabelle, where are the police, they should be arrested right here and right now…
The three hooded figures head towards the ring as Xavier, Tlatoani and Chiquitita wait into the ring...gripping those weapons a little tighter...they reach the ring and one by one climbs up to the apron and enter the ring...they towards Xavier, Tlatoani and Chiquitita but stop short from going nose to nose...they pause for a few seconds and then slowly reach up towards their hoods…
Aiello: WHAT THE HELL!!!
The fans are taken aback as the hoods lower and it’s Nikki Dupree flanked by Xavier’s other two cousins Perdido and Abando Volando...Xavier looks confused for a second and then smiles…
Aiello: THAT SON OF A BITCH...HE WAS IN ON IT!!!
Tlatoani and Chiquitita also smile and drop their weapons and ‘The Family’ all embrace...the fans start to turn on The Volando family but Xavier holds up his hand…
Reid: Wait...hold on...before you all boo us out of the building and decide we are the new ‘HEELS’ of the EWC let me set you all straight...this NEEDED to be done...for the betterment of the EWC and you the fans...you heard Luke Wolfe...he was going to show up at Scars and Stripes to ‘make sure Ace King walked out the Undisputed Champion’ he was going to make it all about him and take that moment away from Ace...and I wasn’t going to allow it...if Ace King was going to win the Undisputed Championship it was going to be because he had it in him...not because Luke Wolfe was so desperate to make this prophecy come true that he would be willing to do whatever it took to make sure Ace became the ‘True Hero’...for this ‘war’ that was coming...well Luke I guess you didn’t see clearly into your crystal ball because this ‘war’...its over!!!
Xavier smiles
Reid: We stormed the damn gates and left you BOTH a bloody mess...you are still laying in that hospital bed and Luke...it could have been worse!!! I pulled myself off...called off the dogs...I COULD HAVE ENDED YOU BOTH but I wanted you to know that I could have taken everything from you...but he’s done...him and Jessica/Annabelle...they will NEVER be back in the EWC and you can thank me for that...I’ve saved the EWC from Luke Wolfe and the nonsense he brings...it’s grown old and tired...he leaves and we all forget about him only to return and jump right back to the top...over people who come out here each and every week and kill themselves...at Scars and Stripes it SHOULD have been about Dominic and Ace but Luke wanted to make it about him...and I wasn’t going to allow it...so I had Nikki arrange the meeting at the hotel...but I brought my ‘REAL’ family and we ended this once and for all...you might be asking yourself ‘why’ Xavier but know I had my reasons...this wasn’t about putting myself over or making my name off Luke’s...IT HAD TO BE DONE...like taking an old sick dog out back and putting it down...Luke Wolfe had a disease and he would have infected the EWC had I not put them down…
Xavier looks over towards ‘The Family’
Reid: The Trinity is DEAD...DEATH came for it and DEATH took it...it’s gone and it will never be back...so for one last time...call it one last nostalgia moment ...hit the music because it will be the LAST time you every hear it here in the EWC…
‘Shredder’s Suites part 2’ plays out as Xavier drops the mic and Nikki walks over and puts her arms around Xavier as the rest of ‘The Family’ embrace Xavier...
TFW WHEN YOU TAG WITH YOUR S&S OPPONENT
[TAG TEAM MATCH]
Cyrus Black & Gabi Vee
VS Bill Bashem & Hush
VS Bill Bashem & Hush
Aiello: ....and welcome back as the action continues here tonight, we’ve got a couple of unlikely pairings in our next matchup! Our International champion Cyrus Black teams with Gabrielle Visconty to take on the Golden Ticket winner Hush and Bill Bashem...
Bennett: Unlikely pairings is an understatement. Bill Bashem hasn't hidden his dislike for Hush, the man who beat him in the finals of the Golden Ticket Tournament at Scars and Stripes.. but then again Bill Bashem doesn’t like anyone...
Carter: ....and then we have the Cyrus and Gabrielle situation... I... I’m not sure what to say about these two. They’ve been at each other’s throats for so long now but Cyrus seems to be trying to make peace lately... although I don’t think Gabi is buying Cyrus’s sincerity.
Stroup: The following match is scheduled for one fall, Joining us first, from Carson City, Nevada... weighing in at 230 pounds ...he is the EWC INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION and an original KILTBRO CYRUS BLACK.... and his partner residing in Honolulu, Hawaii... weighing in at 118 pounds... GABRIELLE VISCONTY....
’Like A Prayer’ by Madonna hits and Cyrus Black comes out onto the stage to a huge cheer as he plays up to the crowd, 'B.O.B.' by OutKast plays and Gabrielle Visconty comes out to a big cheer. Cyrus claps and points enthusiastically at his partner, however Gabrielle ignores him as they both walk down to the ring.
Stroup: And their opponents, fighting out of Baltimore, Maryland, weighing in at 192 bounds.... HUSH and he stands at six foot even and weighs in at two hundred, twenty pounds. He smashes! He bashes! He is BILL BASHEM!!!
'Everything to Gain' from Pappoose plays as Hush makes his way down to the ring, followed by 'Turbo Killer' by Carpenter Brut as Bill Bashem comes out to a chorus of boos.
DING DING DING
Gabi starts the match off against Hush, as Bashem sits on the ring apron seemingly looking disinterested. Cyrus, on the other hand, is trying to get a ‘GABI VEE’ chant started up by the crowd. Hush rushes at Gabi, she leap frogs over him and runs off of the opposite ropes. Gabi comes back at Hush, as she throws a kick at him but Hush uses his athleticism to slide on his knees underneath Gabi’s leg, as he does he pulls Gabi to the floor. Hush rolls on top of Gabi, and then as he gets on his feet he pulls Gabi up with him. Hush hooks his arms around Gabi’s waist and lifts her up, as he does she elbows him in the face and then she rolls forward pulling Hush with her, rolling him into a pin as the ref counts.
It looks like Gabi might steal the victory with the pin but Bashem comes from nowhere and boots Gabi in the back of the head, he then picks her up and hits a Pendulum backbreaker on her. As the ref tries to pull Bashem out of the ring Cyrus runs in and tackles him, the two through the middle ropes and onto the floor outside.
Aiello: Hush and Gabi are so evenly matched but now we’ve got Cyrus and Bill Bashem brawling on the floor next to us! This one could get messy.
Cyrus throws Bashem over the announce table as the fans cheer and the announce team have to dive out of the way. Meanwhile, in the ring as Gabi tries to get to her feet Hush catches her with an Enziguiri. He then leaps to the top rope and hits a Swonton Bomb on Gabi. Hush makes the pin but Gabi kicks out at a two count. Hush quickly gets to his feet and runs to the ropes, leaping onto the middle rope and flipping backwards for a moonsault but Cyrus pulls Gabi out of the ring at the last moment and Hush lands hard on the mat.
Cyrus tries to go in for a hug but Gabi shoves him away as the fans give her a mixed reaction. Gabi rolls back into the ring as Cyrus watches her with a grin on his face. At the same time Hush has crawled to his corner as Bashem leans over the ropes and tags him in. Gabi gets to get face Bashem rushes at her, she leaps onto his shoulders and hits a hurricanrana on him. Gabi then hits a no hands cartwheel splash on Bashem. Cyrus urges Gabi to tag him in, but she just glares at him. As Bashem tries to pulls himself to his feet, Gabi springboards off of the ropes and hits an elbow smash on him. Gabi goes for the cover but Bashem kicks out at two. Cyrus is pleading with Gabi to make the tag but she again ignores him.
Carter: Gabi just won’t tag Cyrus in! She clearly doesn’t trust him!
Bennett: I wouldn’t tag that clown in either.
Gabi tries to climb to the top rope but Bashem has managed to get to his feet, as he charges at Gabi and pulls her from behind as she reaches the middle rope, he throws her back for a high German suplex. Bashem then picks Gabi up and hits a gutbuster on her before pinning, but Gabi kicks out at two and a half. Bashem is frustrated now as he starts kicking into Gabi on the floor. Suddenly Gabi manages to kick Bashem with her two feet, he stumbles back into his corner as Hush makes a tag. Bashem isn’t happy, he gets in Hush’s face as the ref has to get inbetween them.
As Hush hits Gabi with a flying cross body. On the outside, it looks like Bill Bashem's had enough, instead of going to his corner, he flips Hush off and then walks up the ramp, disappearing behind the curtain. Hush can’t believe it, he’s now two on one, and the distraction gives Gabi time to hit Hush with her sleeper suplex move she calls Idjitbuster! Gabi then climbs the top rope, and as she does Cyrus taps her on the shoulder making him the legal man but she doesn’t seem to notice the tag. Gabi hits Hush with her top rope move Ascension! Then Cyrus rushes into the ring, he locks Hush in his submission finisher Papa Don't Preach! Hush taps out immediately as he can’t breath.
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winners, via submission CYRUS BLACK AND GABRIELLE VISCONTY!!!
As the ref checks on Hush, Gabrielle seems confused and pissed off as Cyrus tries to explain to her that he was the legal man. Gabi doesn’t look happy as she pushes pasted Cyrus and exits the ring. Cyrus shrugs his shoulders as Gabi stands at the top of the ramp and glares at him.
Aiello: Well Cyrus and Gabi got the win... but not without controversy! It seems like Gabi thinks Cyrus stoles the pin from her, she clearly didn’t realize he had tagged himself in. Good luck trying to explain this one Cyrus....
Bennett: I’d be pissed if I was Gabi too, that sneaky son of a bitch Cyrus just stole one!
Carter: Maybe it was just miscommunication! If anyone should be angry here it’s Hush... Bill Bashem left Hush to fend for himself in the ring, I mean he literally walked off on his team mate! Bill Bashem really doesn’t play well with others.
Aiello: The drama continues after this commercial break!
We move to a commercial break.
The camera pans into the backstage area with Kendrick sitting in the locker room area. He looks back and notices it, spinning around looking directly towards it with a slight smirk.
Kross: I know, I know, I lost at Scars and Stripes causing me to lose the X-Division Championship and now I turn around on Brawl and get a match against Dominic that’s coming up. Seems like a buzzsaw but I’m good with that.
A breathe and then Kendrick closes his eyes gathering his thoughts before locking on with the camera again.
Kross: You would think I’d be bummed, that I’d be just ready to give up with me losing a title once again but it’s actually quite different. You see, I may have lost that X-Division Championship but I have bigger plans for myself right now and it doesn’t include X-Division Championship, I guarantee you that.
A smirk crosses his face once again.
Kross: I’m keeping my eye on Cyrus, that’s right I want Cyrus and that International Championship. Because you see, he is guaranteed to have that championship after Night of Champions which gives me a chance to really get to know him. He’s been the target of a lot of people, lately it’s been Gabi though, she’s infatuated with him. Me? I’m just preparing to be able to take that title off his hands. It’s going to happen, sooner than later.
A big smile crosses Kendrick’s face for a last time.
Kross: So while I may have Dominic this week, I’m keeping an eye on you, Cyrus. You can be assured of that.
Kross gets up and walks past the camera as it fades.
CURING THE POST-CHAMPIONSHIP BLUES
[SINGLES MATCH]
Dominic Sanders
VS Kendrick Kross
VS Kendrick Kross
Aiello: Now we’ve got a singles matchup coming up, and it’s two veteran of EWC Dominic Sanders and Kendrick Kross going one on one... and did you know that this is the first time these two have been in the ring together since last year. Only once have they ever competed against one another.
Bennett: Do you have a book of uninteresting and irrelevant facts hidden away beside you? The fact is our champion forever Dominic Sanders is about to show everyone yet again why he is the best!
Carter: He’s not the champ anymore actually... both of these men are wounded animals because both of them lost their titles at Scars and Stripes. This one could get ugly, there’s no love lost here.
Stroup: The following matchup is scheduled for one fall... Introducing first... from Aledo, Texas. Weighing in at two hundred and seventy pounds... DOMINIIIIC SAAAAANDEEERS!
The lights go out in the Bridgestone Arena. Purple lights cut on around the entrance ramp as "Drop the World" by Lil' Wayne begins playing as Dominic Sanders come out from behind the curtains to a surprising mixed reaction for the fans as he walks down to the ring.
Stroup: And his opponent... From Chelsea London, weighing at 215 Pounds.... KENDRICK KROSS!
3 seconds guitar intro plays before the first line of the Chorus 'ONE MINUTE YOU'RE ON TOP!'
At the word top red Pyro shoot straight up from the stage. Kendrick is revealed on the stage with a red spotlight put on him. A smirk crosses his face before he begins to walk down to the ring.
DING DING DING
Kross and Sanders get in each other’s face as the bell rings. Talking smack to each other, Kross says something and Sanders just laughs and begins to back off then he punches forward with a right hook to the jaw of Kross who stumbles back stunned. Sanders rushes at Kross but Kross pulls the top rope down and Sanders momentum takes him over the rope and onto the outside. Kross holds his jaw in pain as he leaps onto the top rope and then moonsaults to the outside straight on top of Sanders. The crowd are on their feet appreciating the offense by Kross.
Kross picks Sanders up and rushes him back first into the steel steps. Then with Sanders resting on the steps, Kross takes a few steps back then runs at Sanders, leaping in the air with a knee strike. However Sanders dives out of the way at the last second and Kross’s knee hits the steel steps, dislodging them in the process as he hits the deck in pain. Sanders doesn’t waste any time as he holds Kross's leg and twists it hard before unleashing a fury of kicks to his knee as Kross yells in pain.
Aiello: Both men are bringing out there violent sides tonight and the crowd are loving it.
Sanders gets in the ring at the eight count and Kross hobbles in at the nine. As Kross gets into the ring Sanders picks him up and plants him on the mat hard with a huge chokeslam. Sanders goes for the pin but Kross kicks out at two. Sanders gets on top of Kross and pummels him with left and right fists. Sanders then grabs a hold of Kross’s legs to lock him in the Texas Bluebonnet but Kross grabs a hold of the ropes and pulls himself away from Sanders.
As Sanders gets to his feet Kross makes a desperate lunge at him, hitting a low dropkick to Sanders legs. Kross then pounces to his feet and smashes Sanders in the chest and the side of the body with sharp kicks. Kross turns and runs off of the ropes, as he comes back Sanders jumps up and catches him with a perfect powerslam. Sanders picks Kross up and slaps him hard across the face, this seems to anger Kross as he headbutts Sanders then gives him a backhand to the face. Kross then goes for a float over DDT but he’s still feeling the effects of the powerslam and he’s too slow at applying the move giving Sanders enough time to reverse the move into a spine buster. Sanders goes for the pin but Kross kicks out at two and half.
Carter: Sanders is in control here but it’s going to take something special to out Kross away, he has the heart of a lion!
Sanders seems frustrated that he’s not put Kross away yet. As he picks a tired and hurt Kross up, Kross suddenly comes to life and pulls a Pele Kick out of the bag. Sanders collapses to the floor stunned as Kross leans against the ropes, trying to catch his breath and regain some energy.
With Sanders trying to get to his feet Kross charges at him and leaps in the air, trying to hit his move The Tramp Stamp but Sanders catches Kross foot and flips him backwards as Kross lands awkwardly on his head. Sanders wastes no time, picking Kross up and hitting his move Riptide, he then pins Kross and gets the win.
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner via pinfall... DOMINIC SANDERS!!!
Sanders shouts some abuse at Kross who’s still on the mat hurt, before he exits the ring and makes his way back up the ramp.
Aiello: Is this a new side of Dominic Sanders we are seeing? I just wonder what the psychological ramifications of losing the Undisputed could have on him? He sees much more unhinged and ultimately dangerous now.
Bennett: Dominic Sanders is the same as he’s always been... and that’s the best.
Carter: Kendrick had Dominic on the ropes a few times, on another night he could’ve won this one. I’d like to see a rematch!
Aiello: I second that! Don’t go away folks, we will be right back with more hard hitting action.
We move to a commercial break.
THE EWC SUMMIT
[FATAL FOUR-WAY MATCH]
Kenneth Williams
VS Mark Storm
VS Draco Lazarus
VS Joe Porter
VS Mark Storm
VS Draco Lazarus
VS Joe Porter
Aiello: Well folks, up next we have an odd meeting of the minds for what Jim Connors calls the EWC Summit! A representative from each brand will wage war tonight, and only one brand will reign supreme!
Bennett: Well hell, Joe, as much as I wanna root for Kenneth Williams tonight I have a feeling Draco Lazarus is going to capitalize on making his triumphant return to Brawl. He's been gloating to everyone he can about his victory over former GM Jon Spartan, whose ousting from the company has opened the door for Draco to come back to the red brand!
Carter: That said, you can't count out the representatives from Rampage and Prime! Mark Storm was on a tear during his tour of the brands, and Joe Porter is, well, Joe Porter!
We cut to ringside, where Stroup and all four competitors are standing by.
Stroup: The following contest is a Fatal Four-Way Match scheduled for one fall! Already in the ring are the competitors, each representing a brand of the EWC! Representing Brawl, Kenneth Williams...representing Rampage, Mark Storm...representing Prime, Joe Porter...and representing FSW...
Stroup is quickly interrupted by Draco, who shouts at her before she can continue.
Stroup: Representing the Aristocrats, he is the King of EWC Television and the future North American Champion...Draco Lazarus!
Draco just smirks before charging at Mark Storm, with Joe going after Kenneth as the bell rings to start the match!
DING DING DING
Draco is absolutely enjoying himself as he lays into the Hero of Friday Night Rampage, meanwhile the fight between Porter and Williams quickly goes out of the ring. The ref is distracted by the melee on the outside, allowing Draco an opportunity to somehow cheat in the kind of match that would allow such a thing anyway, driving Storm shoulder first into the turnbuckle before grabbing his gold mic from the corner. Storm favors his shoulder as he turns right into a shot to the head by Draco, who immediately follows with the Golden Ticket! The ref is forced to give up on the chaos between Williams and Porter, turning around just as Draco makes the cover: 1...2...3!
DING DING DING
Stroup: Here is your winner via pinfall...Draco Lazarus!
Aiello: Well folks, Draco's managed to take advantage of a strange situation and steal a victory over Mark Storm tonight!
Bennett: I knew it! All hail the King of EWC Television!
Carter: It looks like Draco isn't done here tonight...
Back at ringside, Draco grabs the microphone from Jessica to a chorus of boos.
Draco Lazarus: You all just witnessed exactly what is going to happen at Uprising. Draco Lazarus standing as the best wrestler in this ring. At least these chumps were smart enough not to talk to the talk when they knew they wouldn’t walk the walk.
As Draco leans down, allowing the Squire to place the King of EWC Television upon his head, the fans erupt in some anti-Draco propaganda.
DRACO SUCKS!
DRACO SUCKS!
DRACO SUCKS!
DRACO SUCKS!
DRACO SUCKS!
Draco Lazarus: You, and the roster of every brand wish. As usual, you morons and these chumps fell right into my trap, just like when I became the Chainbreaker, and just like the forgettable four will when I become North American Champion. Only Kyle Gautier, the least experienced, acknowledged that my talent is superior. The rest resorted to typical attack my character defense mechanisms. They can't handle the truth. The smartest thing Kilt Brother Kyle ever said, "he is a man who makes promises he then keeps.”
Draco snickers and thumbs his nose. He takes a cocky lap around the ring, perhaps brushing his shoulders off a few times in the process.
Draco Lazarus: There are no idle threats. So after I win the North American Title, and my Queen takes back the FSW Title, we are coming for the Tag Titles. Rebelle, don't think we forgot about you. If Iggy and Dom don't get to you first, either way, the titles will be around the waist of America's Most Hated. Then at Night of Champions, America's Most Hated Will fix the glitch in the matrix and take the Undisputed Title from Ace King.
This again draws a heated reaction from fans, Draco takes their insulting chant with that signature smug smirk, shaking his head back and forth, feigning disbelief.
America’s Most Hated Sucks!
America’s Most Hated Sucks!
America’s Most Hated Sucks!
America’s Most Hated Sucks!
America’s Most Hated Sucks!
Draco Lazarus: You see, unlike the rest of the inferior competitors in the back, America's Most Hated don't need titles to make an impact. But by all means, keep telling me how I need to cheat and my propensity to offend the hypocritical social media addicts filling these seats every night. Keep trying to convince yourselves I don't deserve to be King of EWC Television.
The King of EWC Television pauses for dramatic effect.
Draco Lazarus:I am the EWC’s Worst Nightmare, and it is all coming true. Because MY NAME IS DRACO LAZARUS AND I AM BETTER THAN ALL OF YOU!
Draco tosses the mic to the other corner of the ring then thrusts his arms to the side as he does a lap of arrogance before exiting the ring as the Jaws theme hits.
Aiello: Well folks, Draco's seemingly put the rest of the locker room on notice, but will the King take what he wants? We gotta go to break, but we'll be right back with more action!
We fade to commercial break.
As we come back from commercial, the Brawl feed goes up to the 300-level of Bridgestone Arena, where Bob Murray stands with a microphone in hand.
Bob Murray: What a crazy show we’ve had so far, and there’s still so much more to come! Let’s see what these fans think of… Ace?
Sure enough, the crowd cheers boisterously as Ace King rises from his seat and waves to the crowd, the Undisputed Championship over one shoulder and the United States Championship over the other.
Ace King: I think it’s pretty clear what they think… Howdy, y’all.
‘The Gambler’ smiles broadly and holds his hand out, prompting another strong response from the Nashville crowd, stunned to see the double Champion in the crowd.
Bob Murray: Well, Champ, this time of year is where the stakes get to be their highest, especially for the person holding the Undisputed Championship, but-
Ace King: You don’t need to remind me. I’m fully aware of the stakes associated with Night of Champions; it’ll be my third one, main eventing each time, so I’m obviously watching tonight very closely.
Bob Murray: With that in mind, you had to have heard the United States Championship challenge thrown down by Captain Morgan Darkwater earlier?
Ace simply nods, and the Nashville crowd starts to buzz in anticipation. ‘The Gambler’ exhales through his bottom lip and rubs his chin thoughtfully.
Ace King: It was heard loud and clear… and it certainly begs for some interesting questions. The Captain may be correct in having earned a title shot… but he’s not the only one with such a claim, is he? If he’s not too busy dealing with Hall of Famers, I believe Mark Storm has a claim to an opportunity of his choosing, as well.
The crowd cheers the mention of Storm, prompting another anticipatory buzz throughout Bridgestone Arena as ‘The Gambler’ buries his tongue in his bottom lip.
Ace King: Won the same night I became #1 Contender and before Morgan’s grand re-emergence, if memory serves… Of course, I can bring that up freely because, unless you’ve been living under a rock the last three years, you’d understand that I’m not the type to back down or run away from a challenge…
A small smile crosses the double Champion’s face as the Nashville crowd chants his name feverishly. ‘The Gambler’ slowly tilts his head from side to side, his expression growing a bit more serious as he focuses on Murray again.
Ace King: If anything, a challenge brings out the best in me, and no matter when it happens, I’ll be ready. Bet On It.
Bob Murray: There you have it, the double Champion’s ready for a fight. Back to you guys!
Bob gives a cheesy smile to the camera as the feed cuts to…
WHO IS THE BADDEST BITCH ON THE PLANET?
[TRIPLE THREAT MATCH]
Scorpio
VS Iggy Swango
VS Samantha "Titaness" Hamilton
VS Iggy Swango
VS Samantha "Titaness" Hamilton
Aiello: It’s time for our penultimate match of the night and what a match we have for you! Three of EWCs toughest going at it right in front of our very eyes.
Bennett: The sass of Scorpio, the strength of Samantha Hamilton and the swag of Iggy Swango... even I’m excited about this one!
Carter: These three superstars put their heart and soul into everything they do here in the EWC, no matter what happens they never give up, so they deserve the spotlight on them.
Stroup: The following match is a triple threat match scheduled for one fall... Please welcome, from London, England, weighing in at 205 lbs... 'The S-Factor'... 'The People's Camp'...and one half of the EWC TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS...SCORPIO!
'Iconic' - Madonna feat. Chance The Rapper hits the speakers as the house lights go down, switching to a spotlight focused on the curtain, Scorpio accompanied by Crème de la Crème makes his way out to a loud cheer as he makes his way down to the ring.
Stroup: And his opponent, Standing in at five feet seven inches tall, weighing at one hundred and forty-five pounds, from San Francisco, California, representing Americas most Hated.... IGGY SWANGO!!!
"Dance Party Plus" by Head Automatica plays as the lights dim low before strobing between red and the pitch blackness of the arena. Just as the loud guitar riffs echo throughout the arena Iggy Swango comes from behind the curtain and makes her way down to the ring to a mixed reaction.
Stroup: And their opponent, from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, weighing in at one hundred and forty-five pounds, she is one of the members of the Shieldmaidens MC. She is Samantha "The Titaness" Hamilton!
DING DING DING
Theres no waiting about as all three superstars come at each other, Swango starts unleashing hard kicks to Hamilton and Scorpio. Hamilton hits Iggy with a strong forearm smash which causes her to stumble back. Scorpio takes a step back and hits a super kick on Hamilton which causes her to fall back and bounce against the rope, amazingly the ropes spring her back towards Scorpio and she hits a hard lariat on Scorpio with nearly takes his head clean off.
Scorpio and Hamilton are both laying next to each other as Swango climbs to the top rope, and looks down on her opponents. Balancing herself on the top rope in unfamiliar territory, she wobbles at first then she leaps off and hits a double splash right onto both Hamilton and Scorpio. Swango pins Scorpio but he kicks out at two. Swango then quickly pins Hamilton but she kicks out at two. As Swango gets to her feet Scorpio catches her off guard, rolling her up from behind with a pin. Swango manages to kick out just before the three count, as they get to there feet Swango grabs a hold of Scorpio and plants his head on the mat with a snap DDT. Swango then goes to pick Hamilton up when suddenly the Titaness comes to life, grabbing a hold of Swangos arm she locks in the Kimura Lock.
Aiello: It’s been one hundred miles pile hour since the bell rang and now Samantha Hamilton has the submission locked in on Iggy Swango!
Hamilton has the submission locked in good, as Swango tries to twist and wriggle out of the hold, the pain on her face is evident. Just when it looks like Swango might rap out Scorpio comes from nowhere, hitting a springboard moonsault he calls Lipsync For Your Life, he lands on both Hamilton and Swango. Scorpio pulls himself to his feet, he climbs to the top turnbuckle as Hamilton tries to get to her feet. Scorpio leaps onto Hamilton’s shoulders for a hurricanrana but Hamilton uses her strength to hold Scorpio up, she turns, takes a run and plants Scorpio hard on the mat with a powerbomb. Hamilton falls on top of Scorpio as the ref counts. Just before the three count Swango dives across the ring and breaks up the pin.
Swango gets on top of Hamilton and starts unloading on her with elbow strikes to the head, this only seems to enrage Hamilton as she uses her strength to switch positions with Swango, now roles reversed Hamilton smashes into Swango with elbow and forearm strikes. Scorpio comes from the side of Hamilton, cracking her with his knee on the head. Swango kips and charges at Scorpio, but he ducks her big boot this time, and as Scorpio runs off of the ropes and back Swango he hits his finisher a hard lariat he calls Glitterazi on her! Unfortunately for Scorpio the force of the lariat causes Swango to roll out of the ring before he can make the pin. Scorpio looks frustrated as he slowly gets to his feet, and he turns right into Hamilton as she kicks him in the gut and hits her finisher Wrath Of The Titans on him! Hamilton quickly pins Scorpio but as the ref starts to count he doesn’t see Crème put Scorpio’s foot on the bottom rope. The ref then sees the foot and breaks up the pin at two and a half much to Hamilton’s bemusement!
Carter: I’m exhausted just watching these three go at it. Scorpio nearly had the win with his lariat on Swango and then Hamtion hit her finisher but it looks like Crème just saved the match for Scorpio!
Swango pulls herself into the ring as Hamilton gets to her feet. Iggy kicks Hamilton in the gut and goes for her piledriver finisher Non-Zero Possibility but Hamtion uses her strength to throw Iggy over her shoulder. Iggy stuns the crowd landing on her feet and as Hamilton turns Iggy catches her with a hard headbutt, Iggy then hits a spinning roundhouse kick knocking Hamilton down.
Suddenly Scorpio comes from behind Swango and hits the AGR on her! Scorpio makes the pin, Hamilton tries to break it up at the last minute but it’s too late as Scorpio gets the win.
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall... SCORPIO
Scorpio celebrates with Crème as they go up the ramp, leaving Hamilton and Iggy frustrated in the ring.
Aiello: Scorpio proving that he’s not just a great tag team wrestler! Honestly I can see him being a world champion one day.
Bennett: Easy tiger... not sure about that, I think this match could’ve went any way tonight. Iggy Swango and Samantha Hamilton were impressive.
Carter: Indeed they all had their chances to win this one, Scorpio was the one to take the chance and get the win!
Aiello: Next up it’s main event time, don’t you go anywhere!
We fade to a commercial break.
I'M ALL OUT OF PUNS THAT START WITH AN X
[NON-TITLE SINGLES MATCH - X-DIVISION RULES]
Stephanie Matsuda
VS Xavier Reid
[NON-TITLE SINGLES MATCH - X-DIVISION RULES]
Stephanie Matsuda
VS Xavier Reid
Aiello: It's time for our main event, a X-Division rules match between Xavier Reid and current X-Division Champion – 'The War Queen' Stephanie Matsuda!
Bennett: It's a shame this isn't for the title...
Carter: If Xavier can pull down the win, I am sure it will be in this very near future. But that is a BIG if. Stephanie is not someone I see laying down and giving up... I expect this to be a brutal match.
Bennett: It's all about the violence!
Stroup: The following match is a non title X-Division match up. Coming out to the ring first – standing 5' 11” and weighing in at 220 pounds, XAVIIIIIIIER REEEEEEEEID!!!
The jumbo screen flickers and the picture of a sky appears on the eve of a storm, the clouds are dark and rolling across the sky quickly and with aggression. The lights inside the arena start to dim, the rumbling of a storm can be heard over the speakers as lighting appears in the clouds.
The cracking of lighting grows louder and louder until two strikes hit the stage.
First from the right and then from the left as ‘Papercut’ starts to play out…
Smoke rises up from where the lightning hit stage as Xavier Reid walks out onto the stage, his arms crossed in a X over his chest as he stands at the top of the stage and looks out towards the ring.
The fans have a mixed reaction as he starts to walk towards the ring, shadow boxing as he does so ignoring the fans until he reaches ringside.
Xavier bounces up and down while looking at the ground and then looks up and smirks as he heads towards the steps and slams his foot down on each step as he marches up the steps and jumps into the ring and heads right to far corner and climbs to the middle rope and tosses his arms into the air and crosses them into a X as he looks out over the crowd.
Stroup: Making her way to the ring! Being accompanied by Monica Vaughan! From Brooklyn, NY! Standing 5' 7” and weighing in at 132lbs, the X-Division Champion - ” The War Queen” STEPHANIEEEEEEEE MATSUUUUUUDA!!!
“Let’s Go” by Run the Jewels plays as Stephanie Matsuda walks out dressed in her signature black fitted cap and a bandanna around her face. She has the EWC X-Division Championship around her waist. Trailed by manager Monica Vaughan, Matsuda walks on stage and crouches low, getting ready for her match.
Stephanie and Monica walk down the ramp, their eyes fixated on the ring. At the bottom of the ramp, Matsuda runs and slides into the ring. She takes a moment to run the ropes and throws her hat into the crowd. She then climbs the nearest turnbuckle, pulls down her bandanna, and holds up her title as she stares into the crowd. She then jumps down and gives her ref her belt as she stares at Reid.
Aiello: Both look extremely focused.
Bennett: Reid has a lot to prove tonight, and a win would put him right back in line for a shot at reclaiming the X-Division title.
Carter: A win for Stephanie, on the other hand, would prove she deserves to be right where she is at. Xavier Reid is no slouch! He is hot off a tag team win with Kendrick Kross over Sam Hamilton and Gabrielle Visconty, where he pinned young Gabi Vee.
Bennett: She's a dimwit anyway.
DING DING DING
The bell sounds and Matsuda and Reid circle. Suddenly Reid turns and slides out of the ring. Matsuda looks a bit confused until Reid flips up the ring apron and pulls out a chair and tosses it into the ring. Reid then pulls a black duffel bag out and tosses it into the ring. Matsuda nods and grins before she slides out of the ring herself. She flips up the ring apron and pulls out a table and slides it into the ring.
Bennett: Hell YEAH! This just got way more interesting.
Carter: Both of them are filling the ring with weapons. I wonder what is in the duffel bag?
Aiello: Obviously nothing friendly.
Bennett: Good Lord, Matsuda just tossed a barbed wire bat into the ring! We are going to see some blood tonight!!
Reid looks over at Matsuda and slides into the ring. Matsuda follows suit and picks up the barbed wire bat as she rolls to her feet. Reid grabs a chair and moves towards Matsuda. Matsuda smiles as she slowly circles to the right, twirling the bat, motioning for Reid to come get some. Reid charges in and blocks a shot with the chair. Matsuda twirls the bat around and swings low, catching Reid in the lower, left leg, but not before Reid catches Matsuda in the shoulder with the chair. Matsuda stumbles back from the force of the blow and Reid hops back as blood starts to trickle down his leg. Matsuda chuckles a bit as Reid looks back up to her, sick grin spreading across his face.
Bennett: And it is ON!!
Aiello: Matsuda with the first blood, but Reid doesn't seem too phased by it.
Carter: Well Stephanie didn't come out of that exchange Scott free. Xavier landed a good solid shot to her shoulder.
Aiello: That might come back to play later in the match.
Reid tosses the chair at Matsuda's face and bats bats it out of the way. Reid slips in and catches her with a solid European uppercut. Matsuda staggers back as Reid grabs her and attempts to whip her into the ropes. As he grabs Matsuda, she catches Reid in the side with the top of the bat, stopping the whip. Matsuda swings and misses Reid's head as he ducks under and drops her with a step up enziguri. Reid rolls up and kicks the bat out of the ring before turning back to Matsuda. She rolls away and out of the ring before Reid can lay a hand on her. Reid backs up into the center of the ring and picks up the duffel bag. He unzips it and dumps an assortment of pain and agony into the center of the ring, in the form of a spool of barbed wire, a box of thumbtacks, a toaster, and a rubber mallet.
Aiello: What in the name of God is a toaster doing in that bag?
Bennett: It's X-Division rules, it's all good.
Carter: And a rubber mallet... Creative none-the-less, but no less dangerous.
Matsuda rubs her shoulder a bit as she walks around the ring. Reid picks up the toaster and chuckles a bit as he looks at Matsuda. She flips up the ring apron and pulls out a kendo stick and an 8 pack of florescent light bulbs. Matsuda sets them on the edge of the apron and slides back into the ring with the kendo stick clutched in her hand. Reid holds the toaster by the cord and slowly starts swinging it around. Matsuda watches the toaster swinging around as she feints a lunge. Reid swings the toaster hard, missing Matsuda by less than an inch, and Matsuda darts in and swipes the kendo stick in a rising arc, catching Reid in the jaw. A stunned Reid lets the toaster go, sending it flying out of the ring and slamming into the announcers table.
Carter: LOOK OUT!
Bennett: WOOO!
Matsuda spins and swings the kendo stick into Reid's midsection, doubling him over. She steps back and cracks him across the back of his head, driving him down to one knee. Matsuda swings down again on Reid's head, only Reid catches it in his hand. Matsuda looks a bit shocked as Reid pulls her into a fireman's carry cutter. Reid hops to his feet and shakes his hand a bit as he stomps Matsuda in the shoulder. Reid yanks her to her feet by her hair and snapmares her back to the mat. Reid drops and elbow to Matsuda's shoulder for good measure before he rolls over to the box of thumbtacks. He holds them up as the arena explodes in cheers before busting open the box and dumping them into the corner of the ring. Matsuda is starting to get to her feet as Reid walks into ax kicks her in the shoulder. Matsuda doubles over and clutches her shoulder before Reid yanks her into a jack knife power bomb, turning her towards the thumbtacks and slamming her down right in the middle of them.
Bennett: That is going to leave a mark!
Carter: Right in the thumbtacks!
Aiello: This place is coming unglued!
Bennett: It's the blood. Welcome to the new Rome, Joe!
Matsuda screams in agony and rolls out of the ring, her back a mosaic of different colored thumbtacks. Reid stands up and picks up the kendo stick and slips out of the ring. Matsuda is unaware of Reid closing in on her as she claws at the thumbtack collection on her back. Reid catches her in the shoulder with a massive shot from the kendo stick, sending Matsuda to the floor right in front of the announcers table. Reid swings the stick around and applies a cobra clutch with it under her chin. Reid tosses his head back and yells as he yanks back on the kendo stick as Matsuda's face turns red. Matsuda fights frantically as she grabs the kendo stick pressed into her throat.
Bennett: This is bad for Matsuda.
Carter: Stehpanie is in a bad spot, she is starting to turn purple!
Aiello: Look out, she has managed to get a hold of the toaster!
Matsuda manages to grab the toaster that is on the floor and slams it into Reid's toes. Reid shouts out in pain but refuses to break the hold. Matsuda slams it down two more times before Reid finally lets go of the kendo stick and rolls away holding his foot. Matsuda gasps for air as she tries to get to her feet, using the announcers table to help her up. Reid gets to his feet and tests his foot, wincing in pain as he puts weight on it. Matsuda toe flips the kendo stick up off the floor and catches it. She twirls it once and blasts Reid on the top of the head as he turns around. Reid's legs go wobbly as He staggers back. Matsuda hacks a couple times before she thrusts the tip of the kendo stick into Reid's throat. Reid grabs his throat and flops face first on the arena floor, kicking his legs in pain. Matsuda backs away, attempting to pluck the remaining thumbtacks out of her back. She slips into the ring and starts setting up a table. Reid is starting to get to his feet as he chokes and gasps, still holding his neck.
Bennett: At the rate we are going, one of these two is going to be crippled or dead by the end of the match!
Aiello: I can agree with that.
Carter: Stephanie has the table setup in the middle of the ring. She's going for the light tubes!
Matsuda pulls some of the light tubes out and sets them on the table. She keeps a watchful eye on Reid as she picks up the spool of barbed wire and starts wrapping it around the table to keep the bulbs in place. Reid is limping a bit as he slips back into the ring and rolls up to his feet. Matsuda turns around, huge grin on her face, and toe flips the kendo stick back up to her hand. She beckons Reid to come on as she twirls the kendo stick around gracefully. Reid spits a little blood from his mouth and then suddenly bull rushes her, catching her off guard, and shoulder tackles her right into the table, knocking it over. Reid pulls up and starts punching Matsuda in the face. The crowd starts to chant as the blows land: 1, 2, 3, 4! Matsuda kicks her legs out and traps Reid's arm, pulling him into a triangle choke. Reid tries to pull out but can't shake Matsuda loose. Reid tries stacking her up, but can't seem to break the hold. In pure desperation Reid lifts Matsuda and goes to power bomb her onto the knocked over table. Matsuda releases the hold at the last second and lands on her feet on the other side of the table as Reid. Reid shoves the table towards her and she hops back and springboards off with a forearm smash. Reid staggers back as Matsuda hops the table and charges in, grabbing Reid and bulldogs him right into the remains of the thumbtacks.
Carter: FINAL HEAVEN! Stephanie's finisher! Reid is in huge trouble... And bulldogged right into the thumbtacks!!!
Bennett: Reid was definitely on the bad end of the thumbtacks this time.
Aiello: All I know is the fans are loving every second of it... And to think this is a non-title match!
Carter: Stephanie going for the pin!
Matsuda rolls Reid up and goes for the pin.

3 – NO! Last moment kick out by Reid!!
Matsuda punches Reid in the head in frustration before she stands up and brushes as much of the thumbtacks out of her posterior as she can. Reid plucks a few tacks out of his face as rolls to his feet. Matsuda dashes to the rope sand comes off with a running lariat that Reid ducks. She stops dead and fires off a back kick that Reid side steps. Reid thrust kicks Matsuda in the butt and she stumbles into the ropes. Reid chases her in and sends her out of the ring with a running forearm smash to the back of the head. Matsuda hit the arena floor hard and looks winded. Reid walks back over and flips the table back up right, and dumps the remaining light tubes from the box onto the top of the table. He then turns and darts toward the ropes and X-Treme Air's out of the ring and into Matsuda as she is getting to her feet. Both wrestlers go down hard, Reid hitting the floor and Matsuda slamming into the guard railing with a huge crash. The fans start chanting HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!
Bennett: Son of a bitch! SON OF A BITCH!!! I think Matsuda is dead!
Aiello: Did you hear her hit the railling?! I think I am going to be sick...
Carter: Both are down! Reid looks to be stirring, but Matsuda might be out of it!
Reid rolls onto his side and growls in pain as he slowly stands up. He roars to the crowd as he walks over and yanks Matsuda's limp body off the ground. He tosses her over his shoulder and runs into the ring post, slamming Matsuda's shoulder and head into it. Blood begins to run freely out of the side of Matsuda's head as he backs up and charges in again, only Matsuda shoves off his shoulder in desperation, sending Reid face first into the ring post. He crumbles face first into a heap as his head clangs off the post. Matsuda is down on all fours trying to clear her head. She wipes her hand through her hair and pulls away a blood soaked palm. She tries to stand up and falls back to her knees, still dazed. The fans are going nuts as she finally gets to her feet. She looks around at the rabid fans cheering her on, and walks over and drops a knee to Reid's lower back before rolling him over onto his back. Blood is running out of Reid's forehead and it brings a sick smile to Matsuda's face. She soccer kicks Reid in the side and then pulls him back to his feet and shoves him back into the ring. Matsuda struggles but slides into the ring herself.
Carter: These two are pouring it all out tonight!
Bennett: I hope the medics got plenty of plasma in the back.. these two are going to be a couple quarts low!
Aiello: Stephanie climbing the ropes!
Matsuda scales the corner slowly, getting to the top ropes and coming off with a corkscrew shooting star press. Reid manages to barely roll out of the way, taking only a small bit of the move. Matsuda rolls around as she holds her stomach. Reid struggles to get to his feet as Matsuda starts to do the same. He wipes some blood out of his eyes before he steps in and picks up the rubber mallet. He grabs Matsuda by the hair and yanks her to her feet and blasts her on top of the head. Matsuda drops to her knees as Reid tosses the mallet over his shoulder. He yanks Matsuda up and scoop slams her into the center of the ring and goes for the cover.

Kick out by Matsuda.
Reid, clearly frustrated, pulls Matsuda into a X'd Out. Matsuda starts flailing her arms as Reid tries to lock it in. Reid staggers over and moves the table out a little before heading back to Matsuda. He drags her by her hair over to the corner and sets her up on the top rope. He open hand slaps her across the face and then headbutts her. Matsuda nearly falls over the ropes backwards but Reid grabs her arm and starts to climb the ropes himself. Matsuda fires back with a knife hand chop to the throat. Reid slips and is barely holding himself up on the ropes. Matsuda and Reid start exchanging blows.
Aiello: Good Lord!
Bennett: Blood flying on every impact – I LOVE IT!
Carter: Who's going to come out on top of this?!
Reid blocks Matsuda's next punch and elbows her in the side of the head, then again, and once more. He yanks her in and vertical suplexes Matsuda right through the table, sending out a huge spray of shattered glass.
Carter, Aiello and Bennett: HOLY SHIT!!!
Reid quickly hooks the leg and goes for the pin attempt.

DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall – XAVIIIER REEEEEEID!!!Reid struggles to his feet, looks down on Matsuda with disgust. He raises both fists in the air and roars out triumphantly to the crowd.
Aiello: Xavier Reid with the win! What a fight! What a fight!
Bennett: Fight? Son, this was a WAR!
Carter: What a WAR it was!
Aiello: Folks, that's all the time we have for tonight. As you can see, it's gonna be a long night for our staff as they clean this place up after what we've just witnessed. The road to Night of Champions is paved with champions like Stephanie Matsuda looking to topple the man who wears two crowns, Ace King...and all the potential contenders waiting in the wings! For Steve Bennett and Max Carter, I'm Joe Aiello wishing you a good night!
Paramedics pour into the ring to check on Stephanie and Xavier Reid shrugs them off and then staggers away, leaning on the ropes as he plucks a remaining thumbtack from his face. The last thing we see is the X-Division Champion and her rival glaring at each other, leaving us to wonder what the future holds in store as the show comes to a close.
