Images of previous EWC Champions are shown, starting with the very first Champion Black Ninja, then moving onto Big Danny Mac and Steve "The Predator" Bennett. Sped up footage then shows a special montage of Memphis Reigns, Shadow Man, Hirsh Valentine, Jesse Nunez, Hurricane Jeff, Moses Lake, James Chambers, BDC, Jay Cee, Stray, Gladiator, The Rev, Drake, Ruthann Hunter, Xplode, Luke Wolfe, Natalie Young, Candy, Dominic Sanders, Ace King,  Cyrus Black, Melody Malone, Scorpio, Xavier Reid and then Jordan Sharpe all with the EWC Championship.

The opening pyros hit and here we go.

The energy in Rome is breathtaking as the crowd is absolutely electrifying in their uproar of cheers.

Spotlights circle around the stadium as the thousands of fans in attendance are shown in a wide angle shot. The camera then pans back out showing a full-scale view of the jam-packed stadium and zooms in on some crazy fans. The crowd is rowdy, chanting the company's namesake at such a loud volume that it's a wonder that the music can be heard at all.

Fireworks emit outside the building and then all around the ring while a fog machine covers the arena in a red haze! Fans stand up, pumping their fists and raising signs as the camera feed pans to each one of them. One last round of fireworks blast out now, and we turn our attention to Marcus Woo & Valentina Gomez.

Woo: Ladies and Gentlemen, WELCOME TO THE FIRST DAY OF THE FEST! We are Live in Rome, Italy. It is day one of the four day wrestling extravaganza that is Wrestle Fest! 

Gomez: We have The Cage Of Doom as Darius intends to defend his International Championship against Gabrielle Visconty. We have Emma Louise returning to action when she battles Aeon Khronos, Antoni Malietoa and Daryl Prichard in a big four way match. 

Woo: We also have a Shieldmaiden clash as Alex "Bullet" Carbajal faces of against Eavan "Krigare" Maloney and the North American Title is on the line when Robbie Rayder defends against the huge Mercenary! 

Gomez: We kick things off in a few moments as the right now President of EWC, President Mac demands the monkeys dance for his own entertainment as he dangles Five Hundred Thousand Dollars high in the air and makes those lower than him tear themselves apart. I wouldn't put it past President Mac to hand over a cheque that instantly bounces. Are cheques still a thing? 

Woo: I have no idea but one thing that won't will be the bodies of  Connor Wicklow, Jolyne Jara, Victor Jarvis, Roozilla, Adriana "Addy" Aquilla, Laura Perelli, Christian Andrews, Gabriel Ohio and Josh Gavin as they all put themselves through hell for that five hundred thousand dollars.

The camera opens up outside of the Stadio Olimpico, sun shining down on the morning of Friday. Stepping into frame is a Kyle Gautier has a sullen look on his face.

Gautier: Here we are on the final stop in the 2020 season: the EWC is in Rome, Italy. A place where the gladiators were more or less invented. For the next four days and nights, we will be entertaining tens of thousands of fans live and millions around the world. But I wanted to be the first vision the EWC nation, nay the world, saw and to tell you to take a moment to take it all in; to take in the sheer energy at this particular moment in time.
 
He removed his sunglasses and bows his head for an entire silent sixty seconds.

Gautier: And now that you have taken it all in, I'm here to tell you it is all an illusion.
 
He places his sunglasses on his eyes to punctuate the point.

Gautier: The illusion that any of us can prosper. To quote another Canadian on the matter, it's a jagged little pill to have to swallow but that's the state of the “nation" in its current rendition. Case in point, take today's slate of matches. The ‘Invitational Ladder Match' notwithstanding, pitting two of the ShieldMaidens against one another, regardless of their personal status in their club, smacks of a company trying to punish a club of strong women just because they found successes somewhere else first.
 
He shakes his head.

Gautier: You see, the veil has lifted for me now and I can see it. Anywhere else, it has been proven. The ShieldMaidens should have been revolutionary to this company but since they were not homegrown, they are viewed as disposable. To see the attempts to separate what EWC sees as profitable from the entirety of that group (Titaness, if you have been paying attention) and discard the rest. . That doesn't pass the smell test and I hate that it has taken me this long to see it.

Make no mistake, a change is going to come and I hope I'm not too late to be a part of the ground swell. A lot of work is being done by Scorpio and I just hope, when all the dust is settled, it sparks the revolution this company so desperately needs.
 
The camera turns to get B-roll of arriving food trucks.

The sound cuts out and is replaced with pastoral music.

Voice of Roozilla: The Budweiser Gardens in London Ontario, on Sunday, July 19th 2015 that’s where it all began. Trey Parker opened the show with words that would mark the beginning of the Future Stars of Wrestling. In that moment nobody understood that those words would become legacy. James Duffman would usher in the era of Future Stars but it’s Chris Brock that would make it legend.

The camera opens to center ring of the biggest stage in wrestling, it’s WrestleFest the extravaganza of immortals. An orange laser show begins flashing throughout the arena and the beams of light stop and form the letters FSW in the center of the stage.

Push Me By Black Stone plays, as the FSW logo appears over the Titantron, eliciting massive cheers for the sold out Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy. The voices of the past can be heard by all in the arena and the viewing audience.

Trey Parker: We are in the great white North tonight, as we kick off the revolution for the future, Welcome everyone, I'm Trey Parker, joined with Matt Stone, and welcome, to the Future Stars of Wrestling.

Matt Stone: Yeah and it should be a great show, under the EWC brand.

As the voices trail off the camera zooms in on FSW star Rupert Garfield Huxley better known as the Roozilla. He’s wearing a retro FSW t-shirt and holding a FSW microphone.

Roozilla: I stand here tonight as a reminder to the FSW loyal and faithful that the Future Stars of wrestling is not dying that it will continue to live. Live within the dreams and imagination of both the men and women who stepped between those ropes and it’s fans. I am the embodiment and the personification of the FSW. I am the final Future Star of the orange brand.

Through it’s history and through it’s standing legacy I will bear the weight of everything upon my shoulders. I vow to carry that legacy upon my shoulders.

Roozilla allows his words to echo through the minds of the fans and of those standing in the locker room. Again, a voice from the past can be heard by all.

James Duffman: Tonight, we will showcase various talents that will sure to be the future, not only of the EWC brand, but the entirety of wrestling itself.

Roozilla: James Duffman ushered in the beginning of the FSW brand. Each and every competitor that stood inside of that FSW ring would eventually fulfill his words of prophecy. The men and women of the locker room became the best in the entire industry. It brought some of the best stars of yesterday and today into the EWC.

I stand here as the next in line. I stand here as the man that will allow the FSW name and legacy to continue into that which it will soon become, Paramount.

The Roozy One lowers the microphone and looks out towards the crowd. He looks at the referee and time keeper standing just outside of the ring. Roozilla shares a moment of pride and of satisfaction. The TitanTron begins playing the ending of the first match that air on the orange brand. Roozilla then lifts the microphone to speak again.

Roozilla: KRUZER Vs GBH

The two men that began the action in FSW history and just as Kruzer offered the first free hit I offer the same to each and every single man or woman in that locker room of Paramount. I’ll be standing inside of this square circle each and every show.

Just as Kruzer stood at the end of that first match as the winner and the first man to ever win a match as a FSW Star. I will stand in the center of the Paramount ring as the winner, as the victor. Kruzer carried the name of the FSW into the future and I will carry on that banner, that weight of burden.

Chris Brock, I want to be the first match within the Paramount ring. I want to stand center stage as Paramount begins. Though Kruzer did not know the significance of that opening moment. I know what that moment will mean to Paramount, to the EWC, and to the legacy of the FSW.

Roozilla slowly lowers his arm holding the microphone to his side and it rest against his leg he loosens his grip and allows the microphone to drop to the canvas as the crowd begins to chant.

We return to ringside where Woo and Gomez are standing and watching frantic action in the ring!

Woo: Ladies and gentlemen, the competitors in this match could not wait for a bell and are brawling all over the ring as we speak!

Gomez: Get the camera off of us and into that action! Ring the bell already! 

 

DING DING DING

Josh Gavin completely runs over Connor and Jara with a double clothesline that tumbles them over the top ropes. Roozilla and Christian Andrews are frantically trading punches back and forth while Gabriel Ohio slides a ladder into the ring. Victor Jarvis has Laura Perelli on his shoulders and dumps her roughly over the top ropes right on to Gabriel sending them both crashing to the padded mats. Josh runs and nails both Roozilla and Andrews with a hard double clothesline that drops both men. Josh picks up the ladder but Victor does a superman punch through the ladder rung into Josh's face, staggering the big man back into the ropes while still holding the ladder.

Roozilla and Andrews dropkick both ladder ends, sending the big man toppling over the ropes with the ladder flying almost into the crowds!  Connor Wicklow slides a ladder into the ring but is nailed from behind with a bent metallic baseball bat!  Jolyne holds Jezebel high and smiles. She walks over to the commentary table and starts talking herself up to Woo when Laura punches her in the back of the head, dropping her instantly! She takes the brass knuckles off of her hand and drops them on the table. She runs and slides into the ring but is met with a neckbreaker by Roozilla right on to the ladder! 

Woo: The fisticuffs are flying fast and free early on in this match, but Roozilla is showing that he is NOT playing around here tonight!

Gomez: Think I can keep these knuckles as a souvenir? They totally won't show up on Ebay later, I swear!

Josh Gavin slides a ladder into the ring, he grabs a table and slides that in as well. Connor Wicklow nails Roozilla with a hard lariat dropping him to the canvas.  He picks up a ladder and sets it up in the middle of the ring, he starts a slow climb. Andrews sets up the table but is quickly grabbed with an exploder german suplex by Josh. Adriana sets up her own ladder next to Connor's.  Victor Jarvis quickly climbs Connor's ladder to meet him at the top, Connor is trying to unhook the briefcase but Victor punches him in the face! Victor locks him in a front facelock and SUPERPLEXS him all the way down through the table!

The crowds explode at the move but this gives Adriana time to climb her way to the top of her ladder, he jumps to the ladder Connor was on and starts to unhook the briefcase! Josh hits the middle joists of her ladder then hauls on one side, closing it, she's looking down in complete shock as the big man then lifts the ladder with her still on it!  He runs across the ring and throws the ladder and Adriana like a javelin over the ropes and INTO THE CROWD!

The fans go crazy as security and medical teams rush to the site to assist fans and dig the buried EWC superstar out of the mess of chairs and people. Josh leans on the ropes, watching the chaos. Roozilla hits Josh from behind between the legs with a steel chair! He holds the steel chair high with the spray painted PARAMOUNT on it.  Josh is on his knees in great pain when Christian Andrews runs in with Cerebral DEscension to Josh's face! 

The low pump Claymore Kick sends Josh tumbling through the middle ropes to the outside. Laura gives Andrews a hurricarana that sends him face first into Roozilla's face!  Both men immediately fall down with blood pouring out of their noses!  Laura starts climbing a ladder towards the briefcase.  Gabriel Ohio quickly climbs the other side, they start fighting at the top and Laura gets the better of the exchange, Gabriel barely holds on. Laura turns her focus to the briefcase and starts unhooking it, Gabriel grabs her hair and slams it into the top of the ladder then picks her up for a superplex, he holds her there for a long time while the crowd sees what's coming and starts a - Please Don't Die- chant. Gabriel jumps back and transitions her into a tombstone position on the way down, driving her head into the canvas, causing her to bounce a foot into the air before rolling to a motionless state by the corner!    

Woo: HOLY CRAP! Gabriel Ohio might have just killed Laura there! We've got a whole of of nothing going on right now, but you have to think that whoever gets up first is going to win this thing!

Gomez: Whatever this surprise is for the winner better be worth it, these wrestlers have literally put their lives on the line for this match! 

With all the chaos that's happened, we see Victor Jarvis finally coming to after going through that table earlier. He raises his gaze to the briefcase above, and finally begins his ascension...but so too has Gabriel Ohio after finally getting back on his feet. Just as the two meet at the very top, trading lefts and rights below the briefcase, we see Jara slide into the ring with a smile on her face and a ladder in her hands! She has taken advantage of the fact everyone seemingly forgot about her in the ruckus, as she sets the ladder up and starts her own climb toward the prize, even going so far as to unhook the briefcase as Ohio and Jarvis take notice and take a daring leap to drop her ladder...and in the process, all three of them take possession of it as they fall to the ring below! The crowd is on their feet with a mixture of shock and confusion, with multiple referees discussing what just happened as the bell rings!

DING DING DING

After a moment of deliberation, one of the refs walks over to Dobrev to explain the ruling before she announces it.

Dobrev: Ladies and gentlemen, I've just been informed that the referees overseeing this match have come to an agreement that three...yes, three...competitors have maintained possession of the briefcase. As a result of this, your winners in this President Mac Invitational match are... JOYLNE JARA, VICTOR JARVIS, and GABRIEL OHIO!

The crowd is in an uproar as the three competitors start to realize themselves the remarkable situation that's just arisen!

Woo: Wow... I.. don't even know what to say here. This was such a hard fought battle. Everyone threw caution to the wind, but in the end we have a THREE WAY TIE...

Gomez: Ugh... this is like waking op in a coyote ugly situation.. You know, where you want to chop your arm off rather than wake last nights one night stand?!

Woo: We don't know what impact this will have on the "surprise" that the winners get, but i'm sure we will find out! We have a few appearances up next, and then Valentina and I will be back in a bit for the battle of the Shieldmaidens as Bullet takes on Krigare!

After the first President Mac Invitational comes to a close, the victors are still celebrating as cameras switch to Faith Rivers, who was checking out all the action from a nearby monitor.

Faith: Pretty exciting match, wasn’t it?

She questions as she gives her attention to the camera.

Faith: Well, we’re just getting started. Plenty of action and surprises still to come. Just wait until you see the second installment of the President Mac Invitational tomorrow. I have a feeling it’s going to be more violent than the one we just saw.

She nods.

Faith: That’s okay, though. As an Army Leader, I’ve seen my share of violence. And I’m willing to wade my way through it if it gets me to where I want to be. So my targets better be ready to be taken out one by one. Because like I said before, I’m going to be the one that escapes this cage FIRST!

She puts emphasis on the last word.

Faith: No matter what I got to do, WrestleFest will have a FAITHFUL night!

Faith sounds as serious as she looks before walking away.

It’s a bright Friday morning, the sun is shining and several people are all gathered on chairs with a small podium at the front of the set-up. We see a small urn placed that says ‘Dominic Sanders’ Career’ on it written in Sharpie and a man opens it up to grab a handful of nuts as he starts to eat them. A couple people are crying as Jordan Sharpe himself walks up the podium and shushes them.

JFS: Hello everyone and thank you for joining me here today. I know it is a somber reason we are here, but let’s look at the bright side. This is one beautiful day. We are all here for a celebration of life. We celebrate the life of Dominc Sanders’ career and what it means to this business. His career may have passed on, but we still have many memories. Like the fact that he’s lost about ten of the last fourteen matches, and the fact that I own his ass so hard that he has a tattoo of it now on there. A man who has done everything in EWC, Dominic Sanders now leaves his career rotting dead. Some would say that it was me that killed it. I mean, first I broke his arms and then I broke his spirit after all. Some others would say it’s his last opponent that finally put the nail in the coffin, Cyrus, but that’s not right either. No, the person that retired Dominic Sanders and ended his once legendary career is actually Cora Whittaker-Sanders, who turned Sanders from a world champion into a soft, dare I say it, little pussy. His love for her almost certainly ruined what he built here in EWC, and now we see here that we’re just left with the ashes.

Jordan points at the urn.

JFS: We put nuts in there since he doesn’t have any anymore.

He nods very slowly to himself, basically just to pause for effect.

JFS: Here to say a few words about Sanders’ career we have a couple people who knew it, who loved it. First up we have Lil Rip. Come on up here, Rip.

A puppet starts making his way up to the podium, his hair wild and face unshaven. He has big bags under his eyes and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.

Lil Rip: Yeah, I knew Sanders’ career very well. Motherfucker wouldn’t have one without me. I was his whole everything starting out, we were inseparable. Without his hand up my ass, his career never would have taken off. Nobody worked my ass like Dominic, we were a real tag team. Fucker left me high and dry though. Got ‘legitimate.’ Now I’m fucking high in a shitty hotel bathroom while this MOTHERFUCKER parties like he’s fuckin’ royalty or somethin’? Motherfucker named his finished RIPtide and I don’t get shit? I’m fuckin’ glad he’s retirin’. He’s an ungrateful prick I tell ya. Without Lil Rip, Sanders don’t have no fuckin’ career. Fucker.

Lil Rip stomps off as Jordan takes the microphone back.

JFS: Jesus, well that got a little aggressive. Alright let’s keep this trainwreck going, next we have someone who’s meant a lot to Sanders’ career over the years who wanted to speak up on this day of mourning, we have Gabi Vee! Gabs, c’mon up here.

Gabi Vee starts making her way slowly up to the stand, fake crying, with a black dress on and a black veil over her face.
She sniffles as she stands behind the podium. She moves the mic down a little and starts to speak… but stops, sobbing a little or laughing… hard to tell. She clears her throat and begins.

Gabi: First off, I’d like to state how extremely difficult this is. Not only has Dom been an outstanding member of the EWC roster since I’ve been here,

She pauses as she looks over to her left at JFS who is trying to keep it together, fighting off a laugh. Gabi struggles herself to keep a straight face.

Gabi: but he has been an inspiration to us all.

She wipes a tear from her eye, but it is difficult to say if it is a tear of sorrow or the difficulty of not laughing.

Gabi: Dominic Sanders - Our Hero…

Gabi looks down as we hear JFS laughing off camera. Finally, Gabi can’t hold it in any longer and bursts into laughter as well. She brushes the veil back and grins as she resumes speaking.

Gabi: Dom, I was hoping to have a chance to settle up with a final one-on-one match… But it looks like you’ve self delegated yourself to a circus sideshow now, a fantastic ending to a career you truly deserve. The farce match with Malone, bringing Cryus into the AMH… Losing to Jamie fucking Love for Christ sakes! A match against you now would mean about as much as winning a dollar on a scratch off ticket... So, as you call it an end to your career, I wanted to tell you, well, fuck off, ya asshat! I hope Cora can find some piece living with that public toilet seat personality you have. Rest easy knowing that you walked out of the EWC with no title, other than douche King, and off into oblivion. Not even your insults have been up to par at the end of the season... Dom, It is truly the right time for you to hang it up.

Gabi turns from the podium and walks past JFS, high-fiving him as she passes.

JFS: HAHA! Yikes, well. I think we’ve dragged this out long enough. I look out here in the faces before me, and I see a lot of sad ones. For those people with tears in their eyes, I offer you some solace. Just remember, we only have one more of his matches to sit through. Thank fuck. Dominic Sanders’ career will then be laid to rest, as it goes out the same way it came in, with a trail of shitty slime. I won the war, everyone. Remember that. And Sanders?

Jordan looks straight into the camera.

JFS: Enjoy your retirement, you useless waste of space! God DAMN it’s good to be INDYSPUTED!

The music blasting from outside in the parking lot from cars. You see some people are drinking and sitting on their car roofs while others are standing around talking and having fun. Jason was wearing a Hugo Boss shirt with a few buttons open from the top with a pair of black pants with black gloves on his hands drinking from his cup talking with two young ladies girls who were wearing the sexiest outfits. That when Jason could sense someone was watching him he looked in front of him and with a bit of a smirk standing there was Roozilla with a smirk across his lips. He was wearing a Hugo Boss suit but with no tie on looking over at Jason. 

Jason stood up while the girls went off to go get Chris and Jun Yao just in case while Jason placed his drink to the side sizing up the young man in front of him. Roozilla offers his hand out to Jason with a grin. Jason slowly placed his hand into the young man's hand while they shook hands, they both at the same time placing their hands in their pockets. 

Jason: So, how can I help you Rupert Garfield Huxley? 

Roozilla lets out a laugh as he softly rubs his chin looking at Jason before he finally talks. 

Roozilla: I was just wondering if you’ve thought about what we talked about on the phone a few days ago. I think we could work together well if you’re open to it. 

Jason: First, I would like to say I saw your match early tonight. You did really good out there and it shows by the cuts and bruises that you will do anything inside of that ring. As to work along with you... like I told you before... have “Babyface” reach out to Bunny. 

Roozilla laughs as he looks at changes and shrugs. 

Roozilla: Why do we need to have our managers work out this deal.... We are both grown men here and we don’t need to get them involved. I don’t see anyone else around here wanting to work with you. Jason, you should be seeing this as a chance and a gift because the stuff I heard backstage from people. I truly don’t think anyone wants to work with you... and if they did it would only be because of one thing... Your... last... name.... 

Roozilla grins while Jason steps up to him and gets into his face when Jun Yao and Chris just arrive watching closely. Jason gives this look like things are okay while he reaches over and gently fixes Roozilla suit and dust it off a bit. 

Jason: I know you are new to the business so I am going to just let that slide for now what you just said. Don’t let my win and lose record fool you into thinking I am weak. Mr. Huxley like I told you before, have “Babyface” reach out to Bunny for us four to have a sit down. From there we will see. 

Roozilla smirks a bit, backing away, with his hands up as if saying sorry if he had offended Jason. 

Roozilla: Look I’m not trying to offend you I’m just trying to help both of us. I’m only speaking facts. It’s plain and simple facts. If I was worried or thought you’re win and lose record was an issue I wouldn’t be standing here with you now. 

Jason looks at Roozilla in a moment of thought. 

Roozilla: I brought up your family because that’s how others think, not me. I see the guy who’s building his own legacy. A guy standing on his own fighting between those ropes himself. It’s obvious that you have a chip on your shoulder and you fight like it. You have something to prove and honestly I see that. I see the guy doing what ever it takes to win. 

Jason: Yeah, your right. I will win at all cost on my own. So why do I need you in my corner or hanging on my back? You’re the new guy. What’s that get me? 

Roozilla: I’m not gonna lie I am the new guy and having someone who’s been around will help me, that’s true. Regardless of that rookie tag that’s going to follow me for a year I think have what it takes to succeed in this place. I hate that rookie tag and you hate that shadow people talk about. We both in ways feel like we have to prove ourselves. Just think about it. 

Roozilla turns and begins walking away while Jason, Jun Yao and Chris watch him leave. 

Jason: Get everything you can on this dude.

Shadow Man: Hi. I am Shadow Man. Founder of Wendy's. When I created the worlds first Taco, I knew I wanted that fucker filled to the brim with meat. There is nothing better than stuffing a taco full of meat. Just.... stuff it. In.

Shadow Man looks off to the distance, caught in a day dream.

Shadow Man: Sorry about that. All the blood rushed to my penis. Speaking of phallic shaped things, I am here at WrestleFest to make an announcement. Well not really an announcement, more like a declaration. No, not a declaration, more of a... no lets got with announcement. Zoom in on my face please.

Shadow Man: Wait what the fuck? Josh Brolin? You crazy marvel mother fucker.

Josh Brolin doesn't let go nor does he say a single word.

Shadow Man: Awkward. I'm here to announce that I will be returning to the ring in 2021. That's right, the Hardcore Legend is coming out of retirement. I have heard the calls. Heard the demands. People love the Taco Man and want my man meat. So I plan to deliver a load of my man meat into each and every heart (and ass). But I wont be returning alone. No. I shall hath a partner.

Shadow Man motions the camera to pan to the left.

Shadow Man: That's right children. Xplode (the cutout, I haven't cleared this with him yet, he wont return my fucking calls) and Shadow Man are coming out of retirement, forming a tag team and we will be gunning for those Tag Team Championships. You have all been put on notice. We will see you on April 1st 2021. Be there, or... don't... I don't actually fucking care what you do.

The scene fades with Shadow Man and Josh Brolin staring deeply into each others eyes.

We return to ringside where last minute touches are being added in. The first fight of the day in the form of the President Mac Invitational recently ended, and the atmosphere is filled with anticipation and excitement to see how the rest of WrestleFest plays out. The crowd can be heard cheering loudly in the background as the camera shifts its attention to commentary.

Woo: Welcome back, folks! Our second match is about to begin! We've witnessed some of the Shieldmaidens - current and former alike - face one another throughout the season. Tonight, though, we're going to see two people who have yet to face one another. Alex "Bullet" Carbajal versus Eavan "The Serpent Of Chaos" Maloney is going to begin soon, and I don't know about anyone else, but I'm eager to see this fight!

Gomez: You know, I think for once, I gotta agree with you on this one. They're relatively even as far as height and such go. This should, if nothing else, be an intriguing match to see. Without any further ado, take us away to introductions, Dobrev!

Dobrev: The following match is for one fall! Joining us first, from New Orleans, Louisiana, weighing in at 135 pounds ... ALEX "BULLET" CARBAJAL!

'God Is A Bullet' by Concrete Blonde starts up over the PA. Bullet, accompanied by the other active Shieldmaidens, all walk down to the ring. After entering, Alex briefly shadowboxes, then raises her hands high up in the air, ready and raring to go for her fight.

Dobrev: And her opponent, from New Orleans, Louisiana, weighing in at 125 pounds ... 'THE SERPENT OF CHAOS', EAVAN MALONEY!

Flyleaf’s “I'm So Sick” begins with nothing happening at the entrance ramp. At the 0:20 mark as BREAK is screamed, Eavan walks down the ramp with purpose and a touch of flair, before rolling under the bottom rope and getting up on the turnbuckles to soak in the cheers and jeers of the crowd.

Eavan drops off the turnbuckles, removes her jacket and lays it aside, before she rolls her wrists and shoulders, pacing around in her corner awaiting her opponent.

DING DING DING

Alex briefly hesitates. Those precious seconds are more than enough for Eavan to take advantage of her pause, though not before the ex-Shieldmaiden flashes Bullet an almost apologetic look. She darts forward and wraps her arms around Alex's waist, going for a Belly-To-Belly. This helps snap Bullet back to life as she slams an elbow hard in the side of Eavan's temple.

Eavan grins at this, but doesn't let go of her grip on Bullet. By the time she notices this, it's a few seconds too late. Up and over Alex goes, landing roughly atop the mat with several loud thuds.

The Serpent of Chaos begins to saunter towards her prone opponent, only to be met with a kick to Eavan's shin.

While the damage isn't overly huge, it is enough to give Bullet ample enough time to scoot away and get herself distance. Eavan rushes forward, hoping to stop Alex from regaining too much composure or oxygen, but Bullet isn't having any interference if she can help it. She rendezvous with the Serpent ... and delivers a massive Running Knee straight to Eavan's midsection.

Bullet tries to go for an early cover, but is easily shoved off of a sore and slightly winded Eavan.

Woo: Some back and forth going on here between Bullet and the former maiden. This match is still early though and can go either way

Gomez: Evan needs to just end this one already. Don't let bullet get rolling or it will throw her rhythm off. 

Bullet begins to pull Eavan up to her feet, but The Serpent of Chaos is already a few steps ahead of her comrade. Right as Eavan gets to her full height, she delivers a brutal top right to Alex's chest. Another apologetic look is offered, but it doesn't stop Eavan from continuing her assault as she follows up with a Superkick from nowhere!

Alex stumbles backwards into the nearest set of ropes behind her. Eavan rushes forward, intending to make them both go over the ropes with a Suicide Dive, but Bullet refuses to let her easily have her way.

As Eavan wraps her arms around Alex to make them both fall over, Bullet counters by grabbing tightly onto The Serpent's right arm, yanking it tightly into an armbar. She begins guiding Eavan towards the center of the ring. She holds firmly onto Eavan's shoulders, whispering something into her ear.

Given what we see next, it's fair to guess it's something along the lines of 'Lo siento' as she drives her knee once ... twice ... three times into Eavan's forehead.

Bullet then tries to use her Cabacera (Soccer Headbutt) technique, but The Serpent manages to ignore any headaches she's having by slamming Alex down with a Snap Suplex.

The crowd is cheering, showing how much they're enjoying this back and forth display between Bullet and The Serpent Of Chaos.

Woo: Neither woman willing to give in here. We have a good old fashioned barn burner on our hands, folks!

Gomez: This is what happens when two professional wrestlers REALLY don't like each other! Give me more! feed this right into my veins Marcus!

While Alex is slowly standing up, Eavan checks her forehead. It's not quite busted open, but it's obvious that it is definitely throbbing and sore as all hell with how tightly she's holding it. After hastily massaging her temple, she glances down in time to see Alex standing, albeit somewhat shakily.

Not wanting to waste anymore time or opportunities, Eavan begins circling Alex, trying to determine the best way to end this match.

The Serpent nods, seeming to know her answer, and closes the gap between herself and Bullet. This seems to be exactly what Alex was waiting for, however, as she reveals she's not as dazed as anyone may have thought! Dios Es Una Bala (Ripcord Rolling Elbow)! And just for good measure, she slams Eavan with her finisher a second time!

She then goes for the cover, now taking her turn to look down and flash Eav a regretful look, but still doesn't let go.

Dobrev: And your winner, via pinfall ALEX "BULLET" CARBAJAL!

Bullet and Eavan help one another stand up properly. They stare intently at one another, nod, and decide to share the spotlight with one another. Likely as a sign of unity to display that despite how this match was set up, even this fight will not break their bonds or spirits.

The crowd cheers at their decision to share the spotlight, even though there was only one definite winner. The sportsmanship is a welcome and appreciated gesture, it seems.

Woo: What a match we just witnessed. Great displays we saw from both The Serpent and Bullet, but at the end, it was Alex's night. Even still, sisterly love seems to conquer everything else it would appear!

Gomez: No one fights like family. We've seen that a lot this year, and I doubt this will be the last time we see any Shieldmaiden - former or otherwise - go toe to toe with one another.

Woo: You can say that again! Our next match is a fatal fourway that pits Emma Louise, Aeon Khronos, Daryl Pritchard and Antoni Malietoa! But right now we are going to hear from someone elsewhere on the grounds of Stadio Olympico! We will be back shortly! 

Camera fades

We now find ourselves over at Stage 1 where we will soon have a musical performance. 'Coming Undone' begins to blast over the speakers and the fans explode in cheers. Thousands of fans run over to the stage area as President Mac comes into view

The fans chant and cheer. Seconds later President Mac is joined onstage with Ludacris and another pop of cheers can be heard

Mac: Buon pomeriggio nazione. Have you been enjoying Day 1 of WrestleFest so far?

The fans cheer and applaud loudly to show their appreciation for the show thus far

Mac: I feel the same way. Its been a great show so far and there is plenty more to come. You all know my good friend Luda

The fans cheer for Ludacris

Mac: When Luda heard I was fighting Scorpio, he offered to fly out to Italy and sing a song he thought was fitting .. I think you all know where this is heading

Luda: Its great to be here man. Mac and I go way back. So Mac .. lets start this thing off right ..

A familiar beat can be heard playing on the speakers

Luca: Scorpio, this is for you .. Mac .. you know the words

Mac: MOOOOOOOVE BITCH .. GET OUT THE WAY!

The crowd explodes in cheers as Mac laughs and slaps five with Ludacris who takes over from there

While Ludacris continues to perform on stage, we split screens and head over to ringside where Marcus and Valentina are standing by with some social media comments

Woo: What a fun moment seeing President Mac up on stage, enjoying himself. He certainly doesn't seem worried about his match on Monday

Gomez: I wonder if he should be having so much fun instead of packing up his office

Woo: That's cute. Speaking of cute, lets take a look at some social media interactions. #WrestleFest #WrestleFestXVIII #WFXVIII and #EWC have been trending world wide since yesterday afternoon. Lets have some of the tweets from our EWC Superstars pop up on the screen

Woo: Those were just a taste of some of the things being shared on twitter right now about WrestleFest. This is the biggest event of the year, the last PPV of the season and the twitter love is overflowing

The concert from Stage 1 feed returns to full screen as Ludacris continues with his performance and is now joined on stage by Chance The Rapper

We cut outside the Stadia Olimpico, where an ominous presence looms as a black SUV pulls up in the parking lot. As the cameras pull on closer we see a group of skull-masked Reavers exit the car and make their way around to open the passenger side door. Sure enough, out steps none other than the one who's been leading them... Captain Morgan Darkwater, his face set in grim resolve. Eager to get an exclusive scoop, Ace Heart is on the scene.

Heart: Morgan, what brings you to...

Before Ace can speak another word, he is intercepted and blocked off by one of the taller, heavier-set Reavers. This one, speaking in angered whispers, cuts off the reporter.

Reaver: The Captain will only speak when he chooses to. The winds of change have brought us to this stadium, this hallowed ground where worthy warriors once tread, now a stage for vanity and petty squabbles... and we are watching, waiting, preparing for the war ahead.

Ace never gets a chance to ask another question before he's forced aside as Darkwater and his Reavers depart, leaving us with far more questions than answers as we cut back to ringside.

[EWC]

Woo: Ok ladies and gentlemen, I am just getting word that we’ve got an impromptu match coming up right now featuring an EWC legendary superstar and an Italian wrestling superstar!!! This is exciting... what legendary EWC superstar could have travelled all this way? Shadow man perhaps? Or maybe Steve Bennett has laced up the boots one more time... NOT Xplode surely!!!

Gomez: To be honest I’d like to see Sean Ferguson, Terry Jones or Mad Man Gary again. Some of the lesser known legends. I have to admit this could be interesting! Who are we going to get?

The lights dim around the stadium and “Best of the best” by stubblefield and hall begins to play. The fans are on there feet in anticipation... the lights go up and a figure is standing on the ramp covered completely in a long white robe. The cheers are ringing out around the sold out crowd, the excitement around the stadium is palpable.

Dobrev: Ladies and gentlemen, please let me introduce to you, back in an EWC RING....

Woo: Who the hell is that? WHO IS IT....

Dobrev:..... POT BELLY FRANNNKKKKKK!!!!!

The white robe falls to the floor and Pot Belly Frank looking as rotund as ever raises his bingo wings in the air.

Woo: Oh for F*£K sake... sorry for the language folks... this is clearly not an EWC legend.

Gomez: Who the hell is that? He looks like he’s one lunge away from a heart attack! YOU promised us a legend Marcus! These fans are not happy!!!

Woo: I’m just reading out the information passed to me! Folks this is Pot Belly Frank, he’s an independent wrestler that the EWC has used once on television, he had a match at Youngblood and he got badly hurt that night. I think we also saw him get hurt backstage during the falls count anywhere match between Ace King and Cyrus Black in the brawl finale... boy this is underwhelming. I have to stress this folks, he is NOT an EWC employed wrestler.

The cheers immediately turn to boos around the stadium as Pot Belly Frank shadow boxes his way down the ramp, he tries to high five some fans in the front row with his sweaty hands but they all pull away for him in disgust, he then stumbles and falls over twice while trying to climb into the ring. Once in the ring he asks for a mic.

Gomez: Do not give this doughball a mic, dear lord... wait what does that say on the back of his T-shirt?

The camera pans around to the back of Frank’s T-shirt and there’s a picture of Jamie Love on it and underneath the picture it says “I AM JAMIE LOVES REAL FATHER”. Frank picks the mic up.

Frank: YOU read the t-shirt right!!!! I am here to drop a pipe bomb... I believe I AM Jamie Loves real father!!! It’s no secret that his beautiful mother liked to have orgies from time to time while on the road and I think I may have made sweet love to her in the locker room at an Indy show in 1999, I mean a few of us were involved to be fair including Tommy Love, John Blade and Grizzly Duggan I think... but Jamie looks like me and i know we had a connection!! She may have been a wild bicycle of a women with a hairy upper lip and squint eyes but I loved her!!! She ran away to L.A after the baby was born and I never seen her again and I didn’t know about Jamie until I seen him on television and then I connected the dots!!! I am Jamie’s Father!!! Im sure of it. I use to be that skinny!!

Gomez: Jamie’s mom is taking a pounding.

Woo: Poor choice of words.

Frank: JAMIE my boy I’m so proud of you and I just want you to know you don’t have to be used by that nasty Tommy Love anymore! Your real Dad is here for you. Good luck son for your matches and I hope we can reconnect soon!!! I love you Jamieeeeee and I’m gonna show you how it’s done right now... also a quick side note thank you to Jaden ‘Xplode’ Hunter for paying for my flight over to Rome because the EWC doesn’t actually recognize me as a member of the roster but hopefully I’ll get a contract soon. So Xplode I know you’re a big fan and I appreciate it. The only thing is it was a one way ticket and I have no money to get back home or to pay for accommodation so I’ve been sleeping rough outside the the stadium so if anyone wants to help me out that would be nice. OK! Bring my opponent out...

Woo: So who the hell is Jamie’s Dad? Grizzly Duggan? I’m so confused and Xplode paid for Frank to be here tonight ? Is Frank on drugs?

Gomez: Well Bosa has dumped Xplode as a manager so maybe Frank is his next project.... but that’s like going from a lion to a gerbil. A very overweight pale close to death looking gerbil.

”Il Canto degli Italiani” the Italian national anthem plays and an elderly but good looking tanned man with slick black hair comes down to the ring wearing black trunks and boots.

Dobrev: His opponent.... from Rome Italy, the Italian stallion.... VITO GRAGONAAAAAA!!!!!

Gomez: So we’ve got a fat American fighting an old Italian. We’re gonna need a few defibrillator units to hand. Honestly I’m starting to understand why Scorpio believes this company needs a change!!! The sooner he’s president the better I say!!!

Woo: Show some respect, I believe Vito won a few world championships just before he was drafted for World War Two. True story.

Vito slowly gets into the ring and shakes Frank’s hand as the bell rings.

DING DING DING

Frank is sweating profusely and his belly jiggles as he dances his way around Vito, all the while shadow boxing. After a minute of this Frank sees an opening and steps into Vito who suddenly throws his right fist up and catches Frank in the chin with an uppercut. Frank collapses onto the floor like a sack of spuds and Vito puts a foot on his chest while raising his wrinkly tanned arms in the air. The referee makes count...One... two... three....

DING DING DING

Dobrev: And your winner.... VITO GRAGONAAAAAA!!!!!

As Vito slowly crawls out of the ring and shakes the fans hands, the officials and medical team check on Pot Belly Frank who is coming too but looks like he doesn’t know where he is or what year it is. He can be heard shouting “Where’s my boy.... where’s Jamie....” as the officials try and help him to his feet.

Gomez: That made my eyes bleed.

Woo: Poor Frank.. things can’t get much worse for him.

Suddenly the camera pans back to the ring and we see two large men in hoodies jump the guard rail and slide into the ring. Just as Frank gets to his feet the two men grab a hold of him and lift him up high in air and drop him back onto the mat with a double chokeslam.

Woo: Maybe it can get worse for Frank! Who the hell are these guys???

The two men still have there hoods up as they pick Frank back up and both lift him high in the air again and toss him straight over the top rope and into the first row of fans!!! Most of the fans get out of the way in time but an unlucky few are crushed underneath the weight of Frank’s rotund figure.

Gomez: AHAHAHA!! Thanks for coming Frank!!!

The two men stand side by side before pulling off there hoodies.

Woo: ITS THE SONS OF SCOTLAND!! Hamish and his brother Campbell Campbell!!! They were a tag team here for a hot minute back last year but due to some legal troubles they had to leave.... but here they are!!!! Oh boy!

Hamish collects a mic and slaps his brother on the chest as they both face the camera.

Hamish: Some of you might not remember us... but that doesn’t matter... cause you’re gonnae find out who we are very very soon!!! Me and ma brother Campbell Campbell are BACK to finish what we set out to do last year!!!

Campbell snarls at the camera and leans his elbow against his brothers shoulder.

Hamish: To take over the EWC tag team division...

Campbell cuts Hamish off and brings the mic up to his lips.

Campbell: Hold on a minute brother... what tag team division?

The two large men burst into a fit of laughter and head butt each other before turning back to the camera.

Hamish: He’s right. There is no tag team division. That’s probably why Matsuda and Winterborn were just handed title shots at Wrestlefest... ITS A JOKE!!! The Southern Express have had it easy. We could’ve been your boys Tommy, we sold your special sauce for you last year at Wrestlefest but you didn’t help us when we got into legal trouble and sent back to Scotland!! Now we’re back and next year we ain’t taking any fuckin’ prisoners... Southern Express... Blue Phoenix... good luck.. cause whoever wins that match is going to need it.

Campbell: Those tag team championships are ours!!!! NAE FEAR.... NAE SURRENDER...

Hamish drops the mic and the S.O.S raise there arms in the air to a surprising amount of cheers around the stadium while Pot Belly Frank is put on a stretcher and wheeled up the ramp.

Woo: Wow! That is a lot to take in! Pot Belly Frank has made a surprise appearance here and dropped the bombshell that he maybe Jamie Loves real father! Then Vito knocked Frank out, then the Sons of Scotland returned and destroyed Frank before announcing that they are coming for the tag team championships!!! I think we need a breather, we will be right back with our next match after this short break.

We return to ringside where Marcus Woo and Valentina Gomez are standing by!

Woo: Folks, up next we have a fatal four-way match with some representation from all four brands! Making rare appearances in this exciting weekend action, we have Aeon Khronos, Antoni Malietoa, Emma Louise, and Daryl Prichard facing off!

Gomez: The circumstances surrounding this match are a mystery, but what isn't is we're in for a real treat!

Dobrev: The following match is a fatal four way match scheduled for one fall! Joining us first, from The Edge of Time Itself, weighing in at around 180 pounds, he is the Master of Time…Aeon Khronos!

Time by Pink Floyd plays while Aeon Khronos makes his way to the ring.

Dobrev: And his opponent, from Apia, Samoa by way of Auckland, New Zealand weighing in at 254lbs......He is The Samoan Warrior.........ANTONI......MALI-E-TOA!

'Be Somebody' – Ft. Minor Ft. Lupe Fiasco and Holly Brook plays as Antoni makes his way to the ring.

Dobrev: And his opponent, from London, England....EMMA LOUISE! 

'Neo Geo' plays as Emma dances her way down to the ring.

Dobrev: And her opponent from NOLA... The Graveler.. DARYL PRITCHARD! 

'Seether' by Stoke The Fire plays as Daryl makes his way to the ring.

DING DING DING

All four wrestlers are cautious starting out as they circle each other. Aeon and Antoni lock up in a collar and elbow while Emma and Daryl continue to yell taunts at each other. Antoni pushes down Aeon hard as Emma slaps Daryl in the face. The Graveler wipes his mouth then gives her a viciously hard leg kick that causes her to scream then roll out of the ring holding her thigh. Antoni and Daryl then start putting on a chop show as Aeon gets to his feet. Aeon joins the chop fest but is quickly chopped off of his feet by Daryl, he rolls out of the ring but is met with En-Emma! The bubba bomb nails him on his ass right on the padded mats!

Emma rolls in the ring, she watches the chop fest continue as both men refuse to budge from the wicked chops. She runs then hooks both men into a double DDT! She runs to the top ropes and starts celebrating and pointing to the crowds. Both men immediately kip-up and give each other a knowing glance. Antoni runs up the ropes behind her and gives her a super German suplex right into a neck breaker by The Graveler! He hooks her leg 1...2..Antoni kicks him off of Emma at the last second!

Daryl throws a spinning back elbow strike at Antoni but it's ducked and he throws a running clothesline at Daryl but that's also ducked! Antoni's momentum keeps him running fast as he bounces off of the far ropes and runs back at Darly but he ducks down and gives Antoni a backdrop over the top ropes that turns into a suicide dive right on to Aeon! Emma grabs Darly from behind and hits Em's The Breaks! The twisting Cross Rhodes move floors him! 1...2...Daryl just barely kicks out! Emma slaps the canvas in frustration. She quickly runs to the top ropes then hits a flying moonsault! 1...2...Daryl kicks out again! Emma is frustrated now, she waits next to him, ready to hit a big move but Antoni kicks her in the back on the head, she does a faceplant into the mat. Aeon grabs Antoni from behind and roughly German suplexes him right into the turnbuckles!

Daryl gets to his feet but Aeon grabs him and hits Time Warp! The Kneeling double underhook ganso bomb connects! 1...2...Emma breaks up the pin then quickly hooks Aeon in for a small package! 1...2..Aeon kicks out! Antoni nails both of them with a spear! All four wrestlers are down now and recovering on the canvas while the crowds applaud the action.

Woo: Well for four wrestlers we don't see a ton of, they definitely are showing no signs of rust here! Emma has been her fiery self, Daryl is just dealing damage, Aeon is well... He's Aeon, he's a mystery, and the Samoan Warrior looks to be picking up steam!

Gomez: Less talking, more beating the crap out of each other! 

Antoni is first to make it to his feet, he stumbles to the ropes and holds his head to shake off the cobwebs. Daryl runs and nails him with a huge front kick to the face, sending Antoni over the top ropes to the outside! Aeon clubs The Graveler in the back then picks him up on his shoulders in a fireman's carry, Daryl slips out then kicks him in the gut, he nails Aeon with The Gravelbomb! The tiger bomb connects but before he can make a cover Emma soars in with a diving spear! But Daryl just grabs her out of mid-air and transitions it into another Gravelbomb!

The momentum rolls her right out of the ring before he can pin her. He looks at Aeon then climbs to the top ropes, Antoni pushes him hard from the apron! Daryl goes flying to the outside and lands hard on the padded mats! Antoni climbs to the top ropes, he walks on the ropes using incredible balance then jumps with a huge elbow drop that misses! The Spirit of the Warrior move crashes and burns as Aeon rolls out of the way! Aeon quickly picks up Antoni and hits the Quantum Driver!

The Spinning heel-hooked fisherman driver is devastating! 1...2...Emma lands on both men breaking up the pin with a moonsault! She picks up Aeon and hits a snapmare driver! Girl Crush connects as he rolls out of the ring! Antoni is still out of it as Daryl manages to get back into the ring...but he's nailed with Girl Crush as well! Emma with the cover!

Woo: What a heck of a match this was! All four competitors gave it all in this ring tonight, with some very close calls!

Gomez: In the end there could be only one winner, and I for one am glad to see who's done it here tonight!

Woo: Folks, we're going to take a break to see what else is happening during this exciting festival of wrestling, but we'll be back later with the first of two big title matches for the night as Darius defends his International Championship against Gabrielle Visconty!

Woo: What a first day of WrestleFest we’re having so far ladies and gentlemen! I’m being told we’re heading over to New York where someone is stood by with a message…

Gomez: I’m told President Scorpio’s Chief of Staff, Clara Gold, the next General Manager of Brawl, has something to say!

The Mac-Tron comes to life and we open to New York City where a truck is parked outside the EWC HQ. The fans immediately begin to boo loudly as we see “Scorpio 2020” emblazoned on the side of the vehicle. The camera pans around where we’re greeted by Chief of Staff Clara Gold who smiles widely.

Gold: Ladies, gentlemen, and everything in between… it’s almost time. We on the Scorpio Campaign thank you for your continued support and love, in just three days the Mac Era will be over, and Scorpio Season will begin…

More boos from the crowd as Clara rests a hand on the truck by her side.

Gold: Daniel we want you to know we’re ready – the second that bell rings and your weak and pathetic rule finishes we will be taking control the EWC headquarters and overhauling it from top to bottom. This truck has all the equipment and furniture ready to make this place quintessentially Scorpio. It’s time to drain the swamp of the EWC and to install an administration who will work for the roster and the fans, not for a select few hand-picked ‘stars’…

There’s an angry expression on her face as the crowd begin a “MAC! MAC! MAC!” and “NOT MY PRESIDENT!” chant.

Gold: I hope you’re enjoying your final days as the President of the EWC, Daniel. We’ll try our very best not to damage any of your things as they’re pulled out of here…

She looks up at the headquarters beside her before giving a little laugh. The piece fades out and we return to the Stadio Olimpico as the crowd are still chanting for Mac and booing Scorpio’s Chief of Staff.

Woo: Well she certainly seems confident of victory, but it wouldn’t be the first time this year a presidential candidate has prematurely declared victory!

Gomez: You just know that truck is filled with the most couture and boutique pieces, I’m so excited for President Scorpio’s reign.

Josh Gavin is sitting down on a crate backstage, nursing his head with ice. After a grueling bout in Wrestlefest's opener, he had fought hard... But it wasn't enough.

I: "Josh Gavin? Tonight you put on quite the performance, but you weren't able to capture your first Wrestlefest win. Are you disappointed?""

Gavin manages a bittersweet smile.

Gavin: "A little. I think it could have gone better, but... Honestly? I feel good."

I: "Really?"

Gavin: "Really really. Because I may not have gotten the win out there, but I learned something. I belong here. I may have lost, but I gave it EVERYTHING and I showed that even now... I can keep up. Even now I'm still capable of putting on a show. I would have liked to do that with a win, but... I'll be honest, it was crazy out there. I've seen big crowds before, but this? I've never felt something so alive. And me? I've never felt so ALIVE myself! I went into this asking myself... Can I do this? Can I compete at this top level? And tonight I found my answer. It may not have come in the form of a win... But I still feel like things are only just beginning here."

Gavin's eyes brighten as someone steps into frame. The woman from his first promo -- Kasidy. Accompanying her are two children, a boy and a girl. Gavin embraces them both.

Gavin: "I want you to meet my wife, Kasidy. My children, Alexander and Addyson. They've been with me on this journey for a very long time and.... I don't think I could have seen this journey through without them. Tonight was a really special night. I may not have won, but... This tells me not that I don't belong... But that I still have a ways to go. This career of mine isn't over just yet. Tonight I said goodbye to a 15 year journey... That comes to an end, here and now. Tonight? My journey in EWC begins. Tomorrow I'll watch, I'll scout... And I'll get ready for the next season. For now? I guess I'll just enjoy the show."

We find ourselves backstage where Hall of Famer Ruthann Hunter is standing by. The image of the Cage of Doom is appears behind her

Ruthann Hunter: I truly dont think people understand much about the Cage of Doom match. Some might believe it a match just to display how hardcore you are but it different. I have been in two Cage Of Doom matches and you come out of it as a different type of person.

Ruthann Hunter: I lost one and I won one.

Ruthann Hunter: When you are inside of that cage you see all these mysteries boxes wonder what is inside of them. You never know what it could be...and how inventive the person can be with that item. That when you have to let your mind go into a deep dark place to do whatever it take to make that person scream out in pain.

Ruthann Hunter: You will be walking out of this match as someone new and different and people will see you in a different light because NOT everyone can surive the after match this match put you throught mentality, emotional, and pysically.

Ruthann Hunter: I still found myself suffering from the aftermath of this match but I don't regret it one bit.

Ruthann Hunter: This match will show to everyone in the back the type of person Darius Gabrielle Visconty are. Your two are people I respect in different ways.

Ruthann Hunter: Daruis, since you got here you have shown to EVERYONE when they step inside of the ring with you. They will have no choice but to have eyes on their back of their head. You will do whatever it takes to get that win.

We return to ringside where Woo and Gomez are waiting to excitedly continue day one of Wrestlefest.

Woo: Welcome back! Up next we have Gabrielle Visconty challenging Darius for his first defense of the International Title in a Cage of Doom match. These two have had a lot of bad blood between them this year and it almost looked like they were past it, with Brawl’s Team Captain Darius selecting Gabi to help represent Team Brawl back at Parabellum. Then Gabi moved from Brawl to Rampage and Darius didn’t take too kindly to that at all.

Gomez: No. Darius wasn’t shy about it either, he took to social media to call her out about it. Even better, Darius has now won the International title, a title Gabrielle has been chasing for well over a year now.

Woo: And what a match to win the International title it was. Darius, Eaven Maloney, Eddie Dozier and Bosa all battled it out at Youngblood II in a Fatal Fourway with Darius pinning Eddie Dozier for the title.

Gomez: Then Gabi Vee took out ex-International title holder Clay Byrd at the season finale of Brawl to earn a shot at the International title.

Woo: Going back to the beginning of the season, Darius and Gabi’s first encounter ended with Darius stapling Gabi’s parents pictures and obituary to her and getting the win via pin. The second encounter never even made it to the ring, with Darius and Elissa attacking Gabi and her then manager Tommy Love before the match. Gabi was ruled unable to compete from the injuries she received at the hands of Darius’ attack… but Gabi tracked him down backstage before the end of the show and a huge brawl ensued. Police were called in to break it up, fines were handed out, they both got arrested, and Joe Aiello’s rental car got trashed.

Gomez: Their last meeting was a steel cage match that the winner was the first to escape. Gabi narrowly won that but it wasn’t a clear cut victory as Darius landed on her, driving her through the announcer’s table. Gabi hit the ground first, but Darius drove her into it.

Woo: Say what you want, this match has a lot of potential to be one of the top matches at Wrestlefest.

Dobrev: The following match is a Cage of Doom match. Joining us first, from Honolulu, Hawaii, weighing in at 126 pounds ... GABRIELLE VISCONTY!!

The lights dim as a single spot light shines on the entrance. Halestorm's "I Am The Fire" begins to play as the Mac-Tron lights up to display the lyrics.

Am I brave enough?

Gabrielle Visconty walks out of the back and stops at the top of the ramp, a heavy industrial staple gun in her hand that she shows to the crowd. Her blue eyes scan over the area as the fans welcome Gabi Vee with cheers. A huge grin spreads across her face as she walks down the ramp and towards the ring. The lyrics continue to follow along on the Mac-Tron.

Gabi slaps hands and interacts with the crowd before she hops up nimbly onto the edge of the ring to smile out at the crowd once more. Gabi turns and springboard herself into the ring, then venturing over to her corner.


Dobrev: And her opponent, from Albany, New York, weighing in at 265 pounds, the International Champion ... DARIUS!!

As soon as "Burn It Down" begins to play, plumes of thick white smoke covers the stage, Darius and Elissa Bradley emerge from within, Darius holding Elissa with one hand, a barbed wire wrapped bat in the other, and donning looks of absolute aggression and determination on both of their faces. Darius hypes himself up, slams the bat against the ramp a few times, then rushes down the ramp and slides into the ring. He leaps onto one of the turnbuckle and harasses the crowd for a moment, smacks the bat on the top of the ring post a few times, then holds the bat high into the air with one hand and throws devil horns up with his other hand as he turns and smiles at Gabi Vee.The steel cage is lowered over the ring as the Referee calls for the opening bell.

DING DING DING

As soon as the bell rings both Gabi and Darius dash in on each other. Darius takes a huge swing for the fences as Gabi pauses, letting the bat pass in front of her before she Superman punches Darius in the chest with the staple gun. Darius howls but manages a back hand swing with the bat, catching Gabi in the side of the head. The barbed wire wrapped bat glances off the side of her head and she immediately starts bleeding from the gashes left behind. Gabi staggers away as Darius plucks the staple out of his chest and frowns at it before tossing it over his shoulder. Gabi dabs at the blood leaking out of the side of her head and glances at Darius, offering him an intense look of anger. Darius twirls the bat and then leaps forward with a huge overhead swing that Gabi just barely sidesteps. The bat hits the mat and Gabi spin kicks Darius right under the jaw. She follows it up with a standing drop kick that sends Darius into the electrified cage wall. Darius jerks violently and screams in pain as the current hits him. He stumbles off the cage wall and drops his bat before falling to a knee. Gabi laughs darkly as she runs in and goes to punch Darius with the staple gun again - but Darius catches the punch and holds it in place for a second before swinging her around and slamming her head first into the cage! Gabi screeches as Darius holds her head against the cage, taking some of the current himself. Darius rips Gabi from the side of the cage and twisting chokeslams her into the center of the ring. Darius smears Gabi’s blood all over her face before he heads for one of the 4 mystery boxes in the ring. Gabi rolls to her side and wipes her blood from her eyes as Darius kicks open the first box - pulling out a bag and 2 steel chairs! Darius opens the bag and dumps out about 10 lightbulbs on the mat, and then grabs a chair and starts breaking them apart.

Woo: Darius has snapped in this one folks. I've never seen him this brutal. He's already busted Gabi open, shoved her face into the cage and now he's looking to play with light bulbs?! What the hell?!

Gomez: Darius wants this and it's obvious. He is so locked in right now. Gabi wanted this title so bad, she's been chasing it for almost 18 months now. If she truly wants it then she needs dig deep and find that extra gear and operate from there all night. 

Elissa tries to get Darius’ attention as Gabi gets to her feet and starts moving in on him from behind. Darius, smiling like a maniac as he breaks up the lightbulbs, finally hears Elissa yelling at him and turns around… and right into a running elbow smash from Gabi. Gabi grabs Darius and goes to whip him into the cage, only Darius reverses it! Gabi somehow reverses it again, sending Darius into the broken glass with a deep arm drag! Darius howls in pain, arching his back as he rolls out of the glass. Gabi laughs, obviously satisfied with the results of tossing him into the glass, then heads to the other mystery box. She wipes at the blood on her face as she opens the 2nd mystery box - pulling out a bundle of light tubes that are held together with barbed wire and a kendo stick coated with thumbtacks! Gabi keeps the kendo stick and turns around to find Darius crawling over for his bat. Gabi darts over and cracks Darius across the lower back, sending thumbtacks flying off the kendo stick in all directions and leaving a cluster of thumbtacks embedded in his flesh. Gabi follows it up with another shot across Darius’ back, driving him face down to the mat. Gabi drops on Darius and slips the kendo stick under his chin and cranks it back to choke him. Darius’ face turns red as he grabs at the kendo stick to try to relieve the pressure but Gabi is furiously holding on. Darius tries to stand up, pushing himself up onto all fours and then climbing to a knee, but with Gabi on his back it just proves to be a little too much. He collapses back to all fours as Gabi screams at him to tap. The Referee checks on Darius, who flips the Ref off and then fights to get to his feet. Gabi can’t believe it as Darius powers through the choke to get to his feet. Darius, nearly out of it, staggers backward and drives Gabi into the cage wall again, breaking the hold as she is electrified by the cage. Gabi falls off Darius’ back and crumbles to the mat as Darius staggers back out and drops back to all fours, struggling to catch his breath.

Woo: I believe that might be the extra gear you were talking about Valentina. Gabi has turned the tide here. 

Gomez: Darius is not out of this though, he's just struggling a bit. This match can still go either way and we are very early into it. 

Gabi gets to her feet slowly as Darius is still trying to shake off nearly passing out from the choke. Gabi stalks back over to Darius and yanks him to his feet, only to get poked in the eyes by Darius! Gabi staggers back from Darius as he makes a move for the light tube bundle. Darius picks up the light tube bundle and throws it at Gabi, who barely manages to dive out of the way as it smashes into the corner, exploding into shards of spraying glass. Gabi gets to her feet as Darius charges in and clotheslines her. Darius quickly pulls Gabi back up and scoop slams her into the corner with all the light tube glass. Gabi rolls out of the corner in pain as Darius hops back a step and then heads for his bat. Gabi gets to her feet as Darius snatches his bat up off the mat and turns on Gabi with a sadistic grin on his face. Gabi circles as Darius tries to cut off the ring, and nearly connects with a swing as Gabi barely dodges out of the way. Gabi makes a mad dash for one of the steel chairs that Darius left on the mat from the first mystery box, and Darius gives chase. Gabi dive rolls, picking the chair up just in time to block Darius’ overhead swing. The bat clangs off the chair and deforms it, nearly knocking it from Gabi’s hands from the force of the blow. Darius laughs maniacally as he steps back to deliver another overhead swing, only Gabi tosses the chair into Darius’ face. Darius has no choice but to knock it away with his bat, and that allows for Gabi to scamper away. Darius gives chase as Gabi baseball slides into mystery box 3, crushing it to spill out a hockey stick wrapped in razor wire and a hair dryer!

Woo: Is that Vidal?!

Gomez: No, that is some cheap Sunbeam hair dryer… President Scorpio wouldn’t be caught dead using that piece of trash. Obviously someone thought that would be funny, probably one of Mac’s flunkies trying to poke at Scorpio. You’ve seen Scorpio’s posts - It’s all a conspiracy.

Woo: Yeah, sure...

Gabi picks up the hair dryer by the cord and starts swinging it around over her head. Darius skids to a stop and jumps back as it zips by the end of his nose by an inch. Gabi swings it at his legs this time and Darius jumps back again, narrowly avoiding the blow. Gabi spins around with it and swings it at Darius’ ribcage will all her might - and Darius connects with a powerful swing of the bat. The hair dryer explodes into pieces as Darius’ homerun swing destroys it. Gabi has an ‘uh-oh’ look on her face before she drops the cord. As Darius is momentarily distracted by the utter destruction of the hair dryer, Gabi snatches up the hockey stick and fends Darius off with it, keeping him at range. Darius swings at the hockey stick but Gabi drops it out of the way, and then jams it into Darius’ thigh. He screams as the razor wire bites into his flesh and drops his bat as he grabs at the injury. Gabi swings for Darius’ head but he manages to slip under it, driving a boot into Gabi’s midsection. Gabi drops the hockey stick as she doubles over. Darius drives a knee to her face and then follows it up with a double ax handle her to the back, driving her to her knees. Darius yanks her back to her feet by her hair and slings her into the cage, but Gabi hits the ropes and springboards off with a satellite DDT. She side mounts Darius and starts raining elbows down. Darius covers up and finally manages to trap Gabi’s arm. As Darius goes for an arm bar Gabi slips out and quickly rolls away. Gabi wipes a little blood from the side of her face as Darius gets to his feet. Both wrestlers are breathing heavy and bleeding from their injuries.

Woo: More back and forth now as both Darius and Gabi are unwilling to give up even the slightest bit of momentum to the other. 

Gomez: And why should they? This is the International title we are talking about. It is seen as the top prize for anyone not in the hunt for the Undisputed championship. These two are going to literally kill someone to get this belt, or in Darius' case keep it. 

Darius glances over and then snatches a chair off the mat. Gabi dives over and grabs Darius’ bat and stands back up. The two circle each other briefly, each trying to draw the other in. Darius suddenly jabs Gabi with the top of chair, forcing Gabi to block it with the bat… and it goes poorly for Gabi. The force of the chair jab slams the bat back into Gabi’s shoulder, driving the barbed wire into her. She screams in pain as she jumps back from Darius, swinging the bat wildly at him to try to clear some space between them. Darius doesn’t give her any moments to rest as he charges in with a huge chair swing, forcing Gabi to step back up against the ropes. One more swing from Darius knocks the bat clean out of Gabi’s hands and across the ring as she desperately blocks the shot. Darius grins sadistically as he swings the chair at Gabi’s head, but she manages to deflect most of the shot with her arms. Gabi staggers back against the ropes, trying to shake some feeling back into her arms as Darius steps in to deliver the killing blow. Gabi drops into the splits at the last moment and yanks Darius forward, causing Darius’ shot to hit the top rope! The chair rebound off the rope and hits him square in the forehead, and an immediate stream of blood starts to flow from the wound left behind. Gabi quickly slips around behind him and goes for a school boy pin!

KICK OUT! Darius barely kicks out of it and looks extremely pissed that Gabi just reversed the momentum and nearly got a pin fall. He dabs at the blood running down his face before grinning insanely. Gabi scrambles away from Darius and goes straight to mystery box 4. She whips open and the box and dumps the contents - A gallon jug of Lemonade and a full length door mirror!

Woo: That's Rayderade! Gabi getting a little help from her dear friends the Rayders! 

Gomez: THAT"S CHEATING!

Woo: There's no such thing as "cheating" in a match like this Valentina!

Gabi shakes her head at the odd selection of items before she grabs the jug of Lemonade.. Darius is now closing in on Gabi and she pops the lid and splashes the contents in Darius’ face. He screams as the lemonade hits his wounds. Gabi slams the jug off the side of his head and then shoves him into the ropes. Before he can bounce off, Gabi follows it in with a no hands cartwheel back elbow smash, driving Darius back into the cage. The now wet with lemonade Darius’ screams as the electrical current rips through him. As Darius comes off the cage wall, Gabi greets him with a standing drop kick, sending him back against the cage again! Gabi scrambles away and picks up the mirror. She quickly notes the mask of blood on her face before focusing on Darius. Gabi takes two steps forward and goes to over hand swing the mirror - but Darius spears her from out of nowhere! The impact blows the mirror out of Gabi’s hands as she crashes to the mat. Darius struggles to get to his feet and staggers back to the mirror. He picks it up off the mat and stomps Gabi in the mid section before laying it on top of her. Darius stumbles over to the corner and climbs the ropes, coming off with a five star frog splash right onto the mirror! The mirror explodes in a billion shards as Darius hooks the leg for the pin as the crowd erupts in chants of HOLY SHIT!!! HOLY SHIT!!!! The ref slides in to make the count, extremely careful of all the mirror shards on the mat.

3! NO!!! Last second kick out by Gabi! Darius screams at the Ref and holds up three fingers to say he had her. The ref shakes his head and replies with two fingers.

Woo: Gabi isn't done yet it seems! A frog splash onto the mirror could not keep the young Visctony down! 

Gomez: Darius is FURIOUS right now! He cannot believe that he did not just retain the International title right there. 

Darius grabs a shard of the mirror and jams it into Gabi's left shoulder. Gabi howls in pain before grabbing Darius by the hair and headbutts him right on the gash left by the chair, opening it up even wider. Darius growls before headbutting her right back, and Gabi looks stunned. He climbs back to his feet and yanks Gabi up by her hair. He yanks the shard of mirror out of her shoulder and grinds it into the side of her head. Blood is pouring from the wound left by the attack and Darius pulls his hand back with a small chunk of Gabi’s hair with it! Darius laughs as he holds Gabi’s hair out to her as she clutches the bloody wound on the side of her head. Gabi roars in anger as she leaps at him, eye poking him with her bloody fingers! Darius drops the mirror shard and covers his face. Gabi drives a boot to his midsection and hooks him up and delivers a tiger driver 91! Darius spikes head first off the mat as Gabi grabs the mirror shard and slices him across the chest! Darius clutches at his chest as blood seeps through his fingers. Gabi throws the mirror shard away and then hits him with a standing corkscrew moonsault! Gabi soccer kicks Darius in the head and then drags him into the corner. She backs up and hits a running butt bump, driving Darius’ head against the turnbuckle. Gabi staggers out and across to the next corner. The camera cuts to one of the stages set up on the grounds outside the Stadio Olimpico. A group of about 500 people are all seated in rows of chairs and behind that make-shift bleachers. There are two chairs set up on the stage under a giant sign that reads: The Doug Robinson Show, the fans cheer as Doug walks out onto the stage and waves to the fans.

We see Ace Heart by the food trucks.

Ace Heart: It's been an amazing show so far and we are not even near the end of Day One. However, I'm here by the food trucks to get the opinions of some of the fans here in Rome

The camera pans across the fans milling around the food trucks. Ace taps a female fan on the shoulder.

Ace Heart: Excuse me miss, how have you enjoyed Wrestle Fest XVIII so far? What's been your favorite match?

The fan turns around and it's Emma Louise.

Emma Louise: My name is Emma and I loved the four way match.

Ace Heart: Emma! I never knew it was you! How are you?

Emma Louise: I'm good. The match was a few hours ago now and I'm still a bit sore. However, I did get the win so Im batting five hundred. But it's been good being here at Wrestle Fest. I've not long been rocking out to First To Eleven and I've seen some good matches tonight.

Ace Heart: So what brings you to the food trucks?

Emma Louise: Food? Not that long ago I saw the never to be forgotten image of Tommy Love's fragrant fat arse and somehow I'm still hungry.

Ace Heart: Tonight's main event is still to come, who are you backing?

Emma Louise: Mercenary. I got to. Robbie's a damn good wrestler but I think the size and strength of Mercenary will be too much of a mountain to climb.

Ace Heart: Emma thank you for taking the time to talk to us.

Emma Louise: No problem.

Emma is handed her food. It looks like some meat with fries with a thick brown gravy poured over it. The camera zooms in as we fade out.

Woo: And now it's time for our main event of night one.  Closing out this great night of action is the contest for The North American title.  The Mercenary again finds himself in search of the summit, but at the top of that mountain stands the champion, Robbie Rayder.

Gomez: These two men have no shortage of history, dating back to the Chainbreaker match their roads have curved and crossed many times over the last few years.  But they both have now reached their final destination here at Wrestlefest.  It's time to find out if these two men are indeed destined to go full circle.  It's time to see which of these men has at last come to their final destination.

Dobrev: The following match is for the EWC NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP. Joining us first, from West Oakland California, weighing in at 365 pounds, he is the challenger, The EWC Outlaw

The Mercenary

Mercenary walks into the flashing red light. His face is hidden behind a mask with cold, dead, eyes. He is stiff... hard... A movie monster come to life. He crosses both arms, gloved fists clenched, across his chest under his chin. The pose resembles a skull and crossbones. To either side of him the stage explodes in motes of smoke and flame.

Removing the mask he stalks towards the ring at a steady pace filled with menace and a deadly purpose. Stepping between the ropes he walks to the corner and throws a few shadow punch combos at the turnbuckle before turning with his back to the corner, his arms crossed across his chest to glower in his opponent's direction and wait for the bell to give him the sign to come out swinging.


Dobrev: And his opponent Residing in Alamo, California from Vancouver British Columbia, weighing in at 225 pounds, He is your North American Champion:

The Dreadnaught, ROBBIE 'Aire' RAYDER!

Fear by Disturbed plays as the lights go out in the arena then a fog covers the entrance. The lights slowly come up as Robbie Rayder, wearing long purple tights and black boots, walks out through the fog and kneels down. He points his index fingers to the ceiling then lowers them to his lips. Rayder taps the title around his waist then looks out at the crowd as he walks half way down towards the ring then reaches the apron. He steps through the ropes then goes to the far side, He leans out through the middle and top ropes, playing to the crowd, looking down at the title around his waist.  Pausing to show the crowd his prize the champion stalks around the ring with unquestioned purpose and unwavering confindence:

DING DING DING

As the bell rings The Mercenary turns to yell at the crowd. This split second distraction allows the champion to come behind and send the challenger ass over tea kettle with a poison-rana from behind his back. Merc leaps back up and rushes at his opponent. Rayder ducks the lariat and catches Mercenary with a spin kick to the side of the head. Mercenary stumbles but he doesn’t go down. Robbie goes after him again but he gets hit with a jumping front kick that leaves him open for a double-underhook Tiger Driver. He rolls the champion up for the pin.

Mercenary curses in open frustration as the champion kicks out at ONE. He gets to his feet, pulling Rayder roughly up by the hair, attempting to send him to Hell the Hard Way, but Robbie is quick to slip his grip, delivering a close quarters chop block that drops him down to one knee. Squaring up he delivers a wicked spinning heel kick to the side of big man’s head that drops him like a sack of trash. Moving in quickly Robbie goes for The Blackout submission, but Mercenary manages to wrench his left arm free before he can lock it down tight. With several awkward back elbow shots Merc is able to fight his way out of Robbie’s grip and roll out of the ring, hitting the ground hard on the way down. Struggling to find his feet he doesn’t notice when Robbie runs the ropes and barrels into him, flying over the top rope with a textbook Tope con Hilo.


Woo: TOPE CON HILO! The North American champion is on fire here early in this match. Mercenary is barely hanging on in the early goings here! 

Gomez: He knows what he is doing. You have to feel your opponent out before you make that final push. Merc has Robbye exactly where he wants him. 

Getting quickly to his feet Rayder puts the boots to his opponent before pulling his dead weight into a standing position and bouncing the back of his head off the concrete with a belly to back suplex. The Mercenary is dazed, but pushes senior referee Toyo Yasahiro away when he attempts to check him for signs of a concussion. With the help of the steel steps he forces his way into a standing position. In the meantime The Aire Rayder has positioned himself up on the apron where he waits for Merc to find his feet. Running along the apron he launches himself at the challenger and puts him into the guardrail with a running Hurricanrana. Mercenary manages to protect his already damaged head by blocking the full force of the impact with his forearms but he is slow to get up and Robbie is on him again, raining down on him with hammer fists and elbow shots.

Mercenary’s head looks like a freshly peeled tomato. He is bleeding from several cuts on the front and the back of his head. His face is a crimson mask. Toyo Yasahiro asks if he needs him to call the match, but Mercenary just yells NO, wiping the blood out of his eyes with the back of his hand. He pulls himself to his feet and with no shortage of effort he makes his way back into the ring where Robbie is waiting on him. Rayder takes the opportunity to launch himself at the Mercenary again with a flying forearm, but with an unexpected surge of energy Merc catches him and slams his back to the mat with a Thesz Press.

The champ covers up as the challenger pummels him with some hammer fists of his own. Mercer grabs Rayder by the skull, squeezing the sides of his head in a vice grip and slamming the back of his head repeatedly on the mat until Yasahiro forcefully pulls him off. He issues some serious words of warning before ordering him into a neutral corner and going to check on the champion. Robbie rolls to the opposite corner, holding a hand to his forehead. He tells the ref that he’s okay and can continue. Both men come to meet in the middle of the ring.

Woo: Neither man is leaving this match unscathed tonight! Robbie and Merc are both worse for wear now as this match continues

Gomez: Mercenary has Robbie exactly where he wants him. Notice at the start he was able to get that insanely quick first pinball attempt? That's how in control Merc is. He can end this whenever he wants, he's just toying with the current champion right now. 

The two men stand tall and tired, their eyes deadlocked and their faces bleeding. In a flurry of fury they both begin to lay into each other with heavy open hand shots to the head. Mercenary rocks Rayder with a stiff strike. Robbie returns the favor with a blow that knocks the big man back a step. Mercenary paintbrushes Robbie. Robbie backfists The Merc. Back and forth they go, each hit harder and faster than the one before. Both men are busted open but neither man is willing to be the first to back away from the exchange until, at last, Mercenary gains some ground by blasting Robbie with a hard boot to his gut.

The Dreadnaught doubles over allowing Mercenary to slap on a standing guillotine choke. He squeezes the smaller man like a constrictor, robbing him of his air, before dropping him hard to the mat with a standing brain buster. He quickly rolls Robbie up for the pin.

Mercenary pulls him to his feet and drops him with a snap DDT.

An enraged Mercenary punches Robbie several times before he pulls him back up and slaps on a full nelson. He wrenches at the hold, ragdolling the smaller man, before he lifts him up and bounces him off the canvas with a full nelson slam. He again goes for the pin.

He gets the shoulder up at the very last second! Mercenary rakes at his bloody face. He is clearly at a loss and has moved beyond frustration into fury. Standing up he kicks Rayder before dropping a long leg across his throat. Getting up again he somehow finds the strength to deadlift the Dreadnaught and drop him back down hard with a sidewalk slam. Not satisfied, he pulls Robbie again to his feet and whips him across the ring into the far ropes, intending to drop him again but Rayer counters with a flying forearm smash. Both men are down but Robbie recovers faster. Fighting his way to the top turnbuckle he steadies himself and drops down on The Mercenary with a 450 splash just as the bigger man rolls over onto his back. He hooks the leg for the pin:

Mercenary is saved by the strength in his legs as he kicks out hard.

Woo: The EWC Outlaw may have lost all sense of decency here tonight. He has levied so much punishment onto The Dread Nought, even bouncing his skull off the mat on purpose! But Robbie Rayder showing the will of a champion here is refusing to quit! 

Gomez: These counts cannot be accurate! There is just no way that Robbie Rayder is that good! 

Shaking his head Robbie looks to the sky and bellows. Pointing to the top turnbuckle he again makes his way back up where he pauses to relish the moment and the roar of the fans before falling from the heavens with a shooting star press. But this time he doesn’t go for the pin. Instead he pulls Mercenary up to his knees. With lighting speed Robbie climbs the ropes and hits a Meteora double-knee driver on his dazed opponent. Picking him up he throws him at the ropes hard, sending Merc over the top rope where he somehow manages to land on his feet. Hitting the ropes Robbie hurls himself over the top with the Aire Rayde Version 1.

But by some miracle of reflex Mercenary has enough left in him to snatch the champ out of the air, throwing him over the barrier with a fall away slam. Grabbing him out of the laps of the front row fans Mercer pulls Rayder halfway back over the rail before dropping him head first into the floor with a hanging double-underhook DDT. Picking him back up he lugs his body up onto the apron before rolling under the bottom rope just in time to beat the count.

Woo: GOOD GOD ROBBIE RAYDER MAY BE DONE! That was a serious impact from that DDT. I don't see how this match goes on after that!

Gomez: THAT is the Mercenary that he needs to be. All day everyday. That cold, calculated person is who is going to win him his first title in EWC. 

Standing over the fallen champion Mercenary seems to be considering his options. After a quick moment of thought he begins to ascend the ropes. But he waited a bit too long because Robbie rolls over and gets to his feet, following him up to the top turnbuckle where he brings the big guy back down to earth with an earth shaking Superplex.

As the two men fall to earth Mercenary’s long leg and heavy boot strike the ref with a solid blow to the head, knocking him down and out. Both competitors lay dazed from the hard fall to the mat. As champion and challenger struggle to be the first to recover two large bodies brush past the camera and slide into the ring to hover over the fallen Aire Rayder.

Woo: WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?! Who are these two men?! 

Gomez: It's Malice and Mayhem! It's DAMAGE, INC.!!!!

The fans boo uproariously at the sight of Malice and Mayhem looming like vultures over the champion, intent on taking full advantage of the downed official to sway the match the Mercenary’s way. Malice stoops to grab hold of The Dreadnaught, but stops short after an angry shout from across the ring. Mercenary has found his feet with the help of the ring ropes and he shoots a look at the members of Damage Inc that is nothing short of deadly. Loudly he again shouts the word NO!

Pointing at the recovering Rayder he stares down his allies.

Mercenary: This is my fight! MINE! Now step back, the both of ya… NOW!

With offended looks and more than a little confusion both of the interlopers slide out of the ring. Mayhem stalks up the ramp and after a backwards look and a dismissive wave of the hand Malice follows after him. Mercenary leans on the ropes watching their retreat until they are all the way gone. Turning back into the ring he comes nose to nose with Robbie Rayder, who is now fully alert and back on his guard. Rayder takes a step back and offers the bigger man a nod. Mercenary nods back and then they are right back at it, exchanging rights and lefts in a flurry of fists.

Rayder shoots Mercenary across the ring attempting to bring him down with a Slingblade, but the big man ducks the arm and lands a hard spinning backfist to the side of Rayder’s temple. Rayder stumbles, but recovers quickly enough to land a glancing spin kick as Merc rushes in to capitalize on the momentary advantage. Mercenary stumbles back as Robbie follows up with a solid superkick that knocks him off balance. Rayder quickly completes the Shock and Awe with a sick kick that sends Mercenary sprawling against the ropes. Robbie runs right after him, using the ropes as a springboard and taking him all the way back down to the mat head first with a tilt-a-whirl DDT.

With no waste of movement and no little effort the champion somehow manages to deadlift the much larger challenger off his back, hitting him with a Blitzkrieg German Suplex. Falling across his back Robbie traps the big biceps of the Mercenary, tying him up for The Blackout. Yasahiro checks him, watching closely for the tap out. Mercenary struggles with everything he has, refusing to tap. Rayder cinches the submission in tighter and tighter, but the big man refuses to give him the satisfaction, though his face has turned a very disturbing shade of purple.


Woo: It has to be over here for Mercenary! There's no where to go for him. He's either going to tap out or pass out from pain.
Gomez: Not in the least! This is Mercenary we are talking about! he was born into pain. He can endure ANYTHING. This match ain't over. 

Frustrated by his opponents refusal to give it up Robbie relinquishes the hold, standing up to lay in some hard stomps to the side of the head. Running his hands through his hair in exasperation as Mercenary struggles to get up to continue the fight. Helping him to his feet Robbie sends the spaghetti legged brawler into the ropes where he greets him with a back kick to the mid-section. With what seems like his last burst of strength Robbie hoists the bigger body up and brings it back down with The Star Destroyer. Hooking both legs tightly for the:

Nina Dobrev: Here is your winner and STILL the EWC North American Champion: The Dreadnaught, Robbie ‘Aire’ Rayder!

Woo: What a battle! Both men pulled out all the stops in this one. What a way to end our first night of action and kick off one helluva weekend here at Wrestlefest 2020! Good God that was a battle. Their may not have been any big stipulations or weapons, but these two absolutely destroyed each other for the North American title. And we as the viewers all won! 

Gomez: I don’t know where the challenger goes from here, but after the sportsmanship and heart that he showed here tonight, even in defeat, I think that the Mercenary showed that even though he is not going home with the belt he will be leaving here tonight with the heart of a champion. We have seen so much tonight and it's only night ONE of WrestleFest. What will night two have in store for us?

The opening pyros hit and here we go.

The energy in Rome is breathtaking as the crowd is absolutely electrifying in their uproar of cheers.

Spotlights circle around the stadium as the thousands of fans in attendance are shown in a wide angle shot. The camera then pans back out showing a full-scale view of the jam-packed stadium and zooms in on some crazy fans. The crowd is rowdy, chanting the company's namesake at such a loud volume that it's a wonder that the music can be heard at all.

Fireworks emit outside the building and then all around the ring while a fog machine covers the arena in a red haze! Fans stand up, pumping their fists and raising signs as the camera feed pans to each one of them. One last round of fireworks blast out now, and we turn our attention to Marcus Woo & Valentina Gomez.

Woo: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to ROME SWEET ROME! It is day two of the four day extravaganza known as WRESTLEFEST! I am Marcus Woo, next to me is Valentine Gomez and what a night! We had on Friday, Valentina! 

Gomez:  You are not wrong. We had a THREE WAY TIE in the first part of the President Mac Invitational! Gabriel Ohio, Jolene Jara and Victor Jarvis all managed to climb the ladder and come down with the briefcase simultaneously and it was determined to be a draw! If that wasn't enough, we saw a NEW International champion crowned when Gabrielle Visconty finally ended her 18 month quest for the International Title, besting Darius in a BRUTAL match! 

Woo: And on the Orange side of things, Robbie Rayder was able to successfully defend the North American title against Mercenary. But tonight... Tonight we go more crazy! The second Mac invitational will see the likes of Kendrick Kross, Faith Rivers, and Mark Keaton from Prime, Delilah Ashe from Rampage, Noah Hartt and William Mason from Brawl and Allen Anderson and David Miller, yes THAT David Miller, from Paramount go at it in a Cage match. There is no pinball or submission in this match, you can ONLY win by escaping the cage!

Gomez: Callie Clark and Iggy Swango will face off to hopefully end their bitter rivalry. Marcu$ St. John and Kuroiki run it back after having one match on Prime earlier this season as well. and Then the Tag Team titles are on the line as champions The Southern Express take on the returning Blue Phoenix! 

Woo: And in the Main Event of the evening, we see United States champion Melody Malone, the Queen of the EWC, take on two former United States champions in Samantha Hamilton and Ryo Hazama in a three way elimination match! The first fall is submission only and then the final two competitors go at it in a TLC match to determine who will walk out of WrestleFest as the United States champion!

Pastoral music plays as the scene of arriving food trucks for the second day of WrestleFest plays out. A lot of pun- themed trucks with pun themed foods pull up and start to get prepped. A truck promising Cyrus-style Chicken Legs, extra mild fills the shot. In the back ground, a hard-to-blur-live Kyle Gautier holds picket signs that reads “THE STATUS QUO CANNOT CONTINUE!” and “HE CALLS HIMSELF GOLDEN! WHAT MORE PROOF IS NEEDED? #IDREADHIMNOT”.

The main camera shifts and catches an arriving limo with the license plate MRBIG on it. On the side, there seems to be a hastily wrapped and slightly off-looking image of the Dream Sound Revolution. As the car pulls to a complete stop, the tension builds as we wait for the door to be opened.

The driver hurries to the back door and opens it with a red glove hand. Purple smoke billows out and the strum of a Prince- like chord appears as if out of the ethereal plane. Seconds go by and nothing else happens. The camera pans up to the driver and …


 
…Brandi LaCroix, an impossibly tall woman in full ‘Melodious Malone outfit is discovered.

LaCroix: Hello, EWC and WrestleFest! It is I, former joint champion and your favorite queen, Melodious Malone here to brighten your weekend!
 
A banging from off camera starts as Brandi gets a look of annoyance.

LaCroix: If you didn't want to miss a big entrance, you shouldn't have called Shotgun, you big dummy!
 
She clicks an unlock button and from the front passenger’s side pops out…


 
…Shay Kitt, her impossibly tall sister who is in full Iggance Swamglo attire. She rolls her eyes over her sunglasses.

Kitt: Had I known you were actually getting a limo, I wouldn't have had to call Shotgun.

LaCroix: First of all, that's why you wait until you can see the vehicle. Second of all, there's only two of us! Who else would get to ride Shotgun, if not you?

Kitt: You know, you're right. I shouldn't ever have to worry when you're around. No matter where you are in the car, you're always riding Bitch.
 
A pause goes by a this is an argument that happens frequently.

LaCroix: ANYWAY… Rome! We are in you!

Kitt: That's right, Rome! And when Iggy and Mel are here, there's no telling how deep we'll go!

LaCroix: Eww. Anyway, we have been asked to make an appearance as we are technically former EWC Champions.

Kitt: I guess it's a thing to have nostalgia acts back at these things…

LaCroix: Well…
 
She adjusted her sparkling tiara.

LaCroix: Not all Nostalgia acts…

Kitt: See what I mean? Bitch.

LaCroix: So keep a weathered eye out, Nation. The Dreamy Sounding Revelation is here and…

Kitt:…there aren't two foxier girls you could ask for!
 
They gingerly high five as to not ruin their nails and the scene fades out, with a far in the background Gautier, sighing deeply.

[EWC]

Miller: Supreme, … Dominant, … Apex, …

Miller’s voice is calm, casual, and composed, as the scene opens to reveal the man himself straddling the beaten wooden bench of the locker room. Already in his ring gear, he finishes wrapping his hand in black tape, tugging to ensure a cinched fit. Giving his palm a few stiff shots, he rubs his palm over the knuckles before glancing at the camera.

Miller: Paramount. A lot of fancy words that all boil down to the same damned thing. Being the best.

Shifting his gaze to stare down at his prepped fist, Miller clenches and flexes it a few times, testing the wrapping before turning his eyes back to the camera.

Miller: I’ve already made myself clear on who the best really is, but don’t think I planned on sitting here kidding myself. Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder. All that good stuff.

A lazy shrug hiked his shoulder.

Miller: Fine by me. Keep your mouth shut, your ears open, and make sure you pay attention to what comes next. In thirty minutes, eight people are going to step inside that cage, … but only one is coming back out.

A smirk hitched at the corner of his mouth.

Miller: And no, it won’t be Ms. Rivers, despite how many times she wants to try and convince herself otherwise.

Completing the wrap on his other hand, Miller rose to his feet and turned to face the camera, eyes glinting beneath the hood of his jacket.

Miller: People call me a lot of things. Asshole. Shit-Talker. Arrogant. Take your pick, I’m sure it’s popped up somewhere, but one word you’ll never hear, … is liar. I’m nothing if not a man of my word. And a few days back, I made a promise to step up and dominate the Paramount brand. One, by one, I’ll put down anyone who tries to stop me, from Candy, to Rayder, to Walker, Stitches, or Mercer, grab the hat and pick a name. It won’t change the outcome.

The camera shifts backward, keeping Miller in frame as he steps out of the locker room, and begins a slow, purposed march towards the stage entrance. Despite the hustle and chaos around him, his movements are fluid, controlled, his eyes focused straight ahead.

Miller: Regardless of what happens in the next sixty minutes, I’m walking into the Cow Palace as the single most dominating force in Paramount. Anyone who has a problem with that fact, will know exactly where to find me, I guarantee it. Just say the word, and I’ll be happy to knock some common fucking sense into your skull.

Pulling his hands free of the jacket pockets, Miller moved to wave the cameraman off, but paused at the last second, the hint of a smile catching at the corner of his mouth, as the hand balled to hold up a single finger.

Miller: That reminds me. Fun as it’ll be to clap Rivers’ trap, I couldn’t help but notice someone else flapping their gums the other day. Seems to have it stuck in his head that he belongs anywhere near the top of my mountain. Went and made the fool decision of extending an open challenge, too.

The smile only grew as Miller turned his head to side eye the camera.

Miller: Hey, Roozy, consider your dance card punched. I’ll be happy to show you exactly where you belong by the night’s end.

Lifting a finger, Miller pointed it directly into center-frame, leaving the ball in Huxley’s court as he turned and moved off to the side, rolling out his neck and shoulders as the production crew beginning calling the cage match participants.

We return to ringside where the competitors are already making their way to the ring for our opening contest, with Marcus Woo and Valentina Gomez standing by at commentary!

Woo: Hello everyone and welcome to the first match of day two here at WrestleFest! Yesterday we saw absolute chaos in this ring, ending with three of the competitors holding the briefcase in a shocking WrestleFest moment!

Gomez: And now tonight we see eight more competitors vie for the prizes that await! As we approach a vastly different situation these competitors walk into, you have to wonder who will leave the cage and Rome with the trophy, the 500 grand, and the surprise that awaits them next season?

 

DING DING DING

Mark Keaton walks right up to Faith Rivers and Kendrick Kross and tries to get a brand team-up going, he keeps pointing to himself and the rest of the wrestlers. Kross and Rivers seem to accept the deal, as soon as Mark turns his back though then both grab him for a double atomic drop! Mark hops to the middle of the ring holding his ass, Allen Anderson gives him a hard right hand that spins Mark into Dalilah who gives him a hard left, Noah slaps Mark hard that spins him into William Manson who chops Mark's chest creating a loud cracking noise and an immediate red slash across his white chest, he staggers into David Miller, looking for mercy. David grabs Mark by the hair and flings him hard over the ropes and into the cage wall!

Miller smiles as he wants more of this so he grabs Noah and does the exact same thing with him! All wrestlers engage now as the fight is on! Manson gives Anderson a big back body drop but the extremely athletic man front flips to the top ropes then jumps to the cage wall, he immediately starts climbing but Dalilah and Rivers grab his legs and haul him back down, the three of them start trading shots. Kross grabs Miller in a collar and elbow tie up and pushes him into the corner, he starts hitting some close-in shots to Miller's ribs while pushing with his other hand in his face. Noah and Manson both start climbing the cage right next to each other! They get near the top and both put a leg over!

They are sitting facing each other and trading lefts and rights! Mark Keaton grabs both of their legs but they kick him off, Keaton falls into Kross, breaking up his offense on Miller. David Miller uses this as gives Kross a hard forearm shot right to the mouth! He picks up Keaton and scoops him up for a bodyslam but Mark slips out the backdoor, drops down and gives Miller a hard low blow! Mark watches him rolling on the canvas in pain as he starts playing air guitar in the middle of the ring, Faith Rivers spins him around and hits a running cutter! Faithful connects and Mark rolls under the ropes.

Noah knocks Manson off into the ring but William grabs his arm at the last second and both men crash into the ring hard! Rivers starts climbing the cage and Dalilah starts climbing at the other side.

Woo: What a match this has been so far! Two of our competitors are looking to leave this cage, their eyes firmly set on the prize!

Gomez: Chaos truly has reigned tonight, folks!

Miller climbs the rope and carefully gets his balance, he reaches up and grabs Dalilah around the waist on the cage wall, he falls back for a super German suplex but she backflips out of it into a handspring elbow smash into the corner on Kendrick Kross! Faith nears the top of the cage and kicks her leg over, she takes a breath. Mark Keaton asks the referee to open the door, but there's no door on this cage. Allen Anderson runs and springboards off of the top ropes, he jumps and hauls Faith Rivers right off of the top of the cage, she falls awkwardly between the ropes and cage wall, scratching her arm badly.

Allen balances on the top ropes and goes to jump again but Kross dropkicks the back of his legs causing him to fall back into the ring! Kross picks up Anderson and launches him facefirst into the cage wall! Miller grabs Kross and does the same! Kross no-sells the cage wall then grabs Miller's head and smashes it into the cage! A little stream of blood pours down Miller's face, he wipes it away and smiles, he grabs Kross's head and smashes it off of the cage again!

Kross and Miller keep going back and forth smashing each other's head off of the cage when out of nowhere Mark Keaton nails both of them with a double dropkick off of the top ropes! Mark goes to stand up but he's nailed with a super curb stomp off of the top ropes by Manson! Noah nails Manson with a handspring enziguri! Dalilah hits Noah with A Kiss Before Dying! A quick kiss on the lips followed by a double underhook "Angel's Wings" piledriver! She looks around, then starts climbing the cage again.

Woo: Once again, Dalilah Ashe looks as though she might escape this cage!

Gomez: She's not alone though Marcus, look!

In the midst of the chaos we see Miller finally getting back to his feet once more, slowly climbing the cage next to Ashe. He grabs her ankle, looking to drag her right back down to the canvas...but she kicks him off, sending him down with a thud! It is Allen Anderson, on the other hand, who uses the turnbuckle to deliver a hard dropkick that forces Ashe off the side of the cage as Noah gets back to his feet. Using his instincts he starts climbing the cage as Allen, Kross, and Mark follow close behind...AND NOAH HARTT LEAPS OFF THE CAGE, CATCHING ALL THREE WITH A CROSS BODY! At this point, Manson has begun his own ascension up the cage, only for Miller to quickly climb up in pursuit! Manson rears back for a big right hand...but Miller dodges it, and the momentum sends Manson right back into the ring! Miller catches his breath in relief as the others are coming to...but none are able to stop him as he manages to finish climbing over the top, dropping down to the floor outside! 

DING DING DING

Dobrev: And your winner, via escape... DAVID MILLER!

A ref comes around to raise Miller's arm in victory, as we see just how much this match took out of him before cutting back to commentary.

Woo: What a thrilling match this was, Valentina! These competitors really gave it their all tonight, with some very close calls...but in the end, David Miller has earned his prize!

Gomez: Absolutely, Marcus! Noah Hartt taking a big risk to take down his competition, Dalilah Ashe really stepping up to the plate, Faith Rivers and Kendrick Kross both really making a statement tonight...but David Miller takes home the trophy, the cash, and the big surprise that awaits him next season!

Woo: It's crazy to believe just how much action we've seen, and this day has only gotten started! We're going to take another look around the festivities here in Rome, but later today we will have a big singles match for you as Callie Clark takes on Iggy Swango!

As the ring crew cleans up following the second part of the President Mac Invitational inside the Stadio Olimpico, the focus shifts outside the venue and down to the nearby River Tiber, which flows peacefully.

Voice: Do you know what it’s like to not know how to feel?

A few seconds later, none other than Ace King’s reflection appears in the water, looking almost completely healthy, though still sporting a few bumps and bruises as he stands on the Ponte Duca d’Aosta.

Ace King: Do you know what it’s like to connect with something on a level where you can’t imagine not having it in your life?

A closer look at Ace shows he’s sporting the home jersey of AS Roma legend Francesco Totti as he leans over the rail of the bridge.

Ace King: For many here, soccer- sorry, football… is that thing, bordering on a religious experience, by times. For me, over the last 15 years, that’s been wrestling, starting with the extreme back in the day…

‘The Gambler’ takes a prolonged breath as he straightens himself up, pushing off from the rail of the bridge.

Ace King: But recently, that joy hasn’t been there. I know I’m not the first person you’d think of as happy-go-lucky, but even still, the passion is what kept me going… But lately, it’s been different. Things have been as frustrating as ever over the last few months, but where others would tuck their tails between their legs and blame others for their failures, I’ve never hid from the burden of those big losses.

Ace closes his eyes for a few seconds, then they snap back open before he crosses back over the Ponte Duca d’Aosta, with Stadio Olimpico on the horizon.

Ace King: It would have been so easy to just give up, and many others would have… but I’m not ready to make that call just yet. Wrestling is the reason I am who I am, unlike anyone with the last name Love, who’s basically a STI-riddled Petri dish on legs at this point. They don’t really care about what happens in the ring, they only care about lining their own pockets… which brings me to one Killjoy Ito.

Ace’s lip curls up into a small sneer as he keeps walking.

Ace King: I’ve said it before, but even though you’re the X-Division Champion, you could be so much more than you already are; for you to leave Japan in the first place shows you’re a big enough man to handle your own business without having someone tuning your skin flute at every turn. I thought you took pride in your craft, Ito-san, but you show no desire to become your own man, which tells me you don’t love and respect this business the way I do.

Ace’s pace quickens a bit as his intensity spikes once more.

Ace King: Ito-san, let me make this clear enough for you, and anyone else, to understand: I’m throwing the goddamn kitchen sink at you on Monday. The spark hasn’t been there for me lately, but the competitive fire will never be extinguished, and so I’m coming to reclaim the X-Division Championship and pick up where I left off in terms of giving it the respect it’s always deserved. Bet On It.

With that, Ace turns and heads down a trail along the River Tiber, quickly disappearing from view.
