"Here Comes The Revolution" by BLNDSIDE blasts in the Chase Center
The show starts off with video footage detailing historic events over Monday Night BRAWL's history.
From episode 001 in 1997 all the way down to the last episode #571 in Portland.
Images of previous EWC Champions are shown, starting with the very first Champion Black Ninja, then moving onto Big Mac and Steve Bennett. Sped up footage then shows a special montage of Memphis Reigns, Shadow Man, Hirsh Valentine, Jesse Nunez, Hurricane Jeff, Moses Lake, James Chambers, BDC, Jay Cee, Stray, Gladiator, The Rev, Ruthann Hunter, Ashton Drake and then Xplode all with the EWC Championship.
Sped up footage again then takes us through to current Monday Night BRAWL Superstars: Xavier Reid, Gabrielle Visconty, Bosa, Callie Clark, Noah Hartt, King Flip, Zack Tyler, Nightcall, and others making their way onto the red brand.
We then enter a highlight reel of the big stories going into this year's MNB-exclusive PPV event:
- Bosa's run as the inaugural FX Broadcast Champion, and his desire to prove himself by stepping up to Ace King in non-title action leading up to his Two Out Of Three Falls Match for the International Championship, taking on a very game Xavier Reid!
- The rise of Nightcall upon his return to EWC, beating Bosa to become the FX Broadcast Champion, and the odds he looks to overcome with his unique offense against a whopping THREE opponents in a Gauntlet Match with the FX Broadcast Championship on the line!
- The war of words between King Flip and Callie Clark, leading to a big announcement from Assistant GM Timothy Kahrs: the first-ever Hard Times Match, live from Alcatraz, just so the two can hopefully settle their differences once and for all!
- The rivalry between Davey Dunham and "Heartless" Jack Severn, leading into a very important Grudge Match to settle the score!
- Stephanie Matsuda becoming #1 Contender to the Undisputed Championship after a non-title win over Ace King and a win over Gabrielle Visconty...and the announcement of Weapon X making its return to the red brand with the biggest prize in wrestling at stake!
- KU's violent battle in a coal mine against Saidie Sharpe, his appearances on BRAWL including a reluctant teaming up with Antoni Malietoa, and his new allies in The Romono Family revealing his joining the red brand...all this, coupled with the anticipated return of Damage INC in what promises to be a whopper of a Tag Team Match!
We then get a shot of the Champions of BRAWL:
Nightcall with the FX Broadcast Championship
Xavier Reid with the International Championship
The opening pyros blast across the stage and here we go.
The crowd inside the Chase Center is on their feet, and the electricity inside is palpable for Hardcore Revolution!

The camera cuts to the backstage area where Bob Murray is seen prepping for any possible interviews he may have later in the evening. As he picks up some of his scripts, a hand reaches into frame and pats him on the shoulder.
Murray: Yes? How can I help you?
Someone clears their throat behind Murray, then pats him on the shoulder again.
Murray: I am kind of busy at the -
As Murray turns around, his eyes go wide with shock. The camera slowly pans back, revealing Darius as he stares at Murray.
Darius: Is this how you treat all of your guests, Bob? That seems pretty unprofessional.
Murray: Guest? You don't even work here anymore ... You don't even work for Paramount anymore! You were fired! What are you doing here?!
Darius: Oh come on. Did you really think I was going to let that stop me? Just a few days ago was the one year anniversary of my TLC Undisputed Championship match against Scorpio at Hardcore Revolution 2020! I had to be here tonight ... It just means too much to me. I had to see what kind of dismal state Hardcore Revolution would be in without me and ... oof, man is it rough!
Murray: Well either way, you're here as a fan, not a superstar ... so how did you even get back here?! I'm going to call secur-
Darius grins and flashes a VIP badge in Murray's face.
Darius: Not everyone agrees with Brock's cowardly tactics, so it wasn't hard to get this ... but still, I'm here to deliver a message, and who better to send it to than the voice of Monday Night Brawl!
Darius pats Murray on the back, the grin on his face widening into a smile.
Murray: Uh ... a message? Look, Darius ... I'm just -
Darius chuckles slightly and takes a step back.
Darius: Don't worry, Bobby. I'm not gonna' hurt you. As you and everyone else knows ... Brawl plans to visit Paramount next week, and I just wanted it to be known that, while I may not be employed ... I'll still be there. Brand warfare is nothing new to me, but Brawl not having me on their side is very new to them. So whatever they might have planned ...
I just hope they're remembering I'm part of the equation, whether Paramount wants me to be or not. So go ahead and tell everyone that I'm still lingering around, and please, tell people like Bosa, Gabi, Reid, and Tyler. Hell, you can even tell the new kids ... I'll be waiting for all of them at Paramount #009.
Darius reaches forward, pats Murray on the cheek, then walks out of frame, leaving Murray with a look of confusion on his face as we cut back to ringside.
A GAUNTLET FOR THE GOLD!
[GAUNTLET MATCH]
FOR THE FX BROADCAST CHAMPIONSHIP
We return to ringside where commentary is standing by!
Aiello: Here we go folks, kicking off our in-ring action with a gauntlet for the gold! Can Nightcall overcome the odds and retain, or will one of three challengers take the FX Broadcast Championship!
Stroup: The following is a gauntlet match, and it is for the FX Broadcast Championship! Joining us first, from Nashville, Tennessee, weighing in at 175 pounds ... ZACK TYLER!
The lights go dark as an image of Zack in seen backstage. By now on the entrance stage, fog machines are covering the platform. He stares into the camera with a deep soul stare before the camera fades. Just before the camera cuts off, a quick glimpse of a Red circle with a Red Left hand palm print is seen. Zack's [3:14] music then plays. At the [:17] mark, a Red flash of light illuminates the entrance stage and again at the [:20] mark. At the [:27] mark, Zack rolls out slowly on a skateboard dressed in a Black full length coat with his arms folded over his chest. As he approaches the ring, the skateboard rolls under the ring as he rolls under the bottom rope onto his stomach. The ringside camera catches an up-close image of Zack as he smiles and blood protrudes from his mouth down his chin. Slithering into the corner, he grabs the ropes and pulls himself up to his feet, removing his coat. His music by now has looped or replayed until he folds his hands together as if praying. His eyes roll in the back of his head and the lights come up to normal.
Stroup: And his opponent, from London, England, weighing in at 137 pounds ... HAZEL OVERTON!
Gold lights fill the arena as "Show Stopper" by Danity Kane begins to play through the speakers. Hazel Overton steps out from the back with her publicist Amy Jonas right beside her. Hazel stands at the top of the stage, runs her hand through her blonde hair while shaking her head at the crowd. She slowly begins to make her way down the ramp while Amy is doing somethings on her phone.
Hazel slides into the ring with a slight smirk on her face. She sombers her way over towards the corner, she leans toward it while taunting the crowd. She lays across the top rope while continuing to taunt the crowd...before going after Zack Tyler!
DING DING DING
The two trade blows from the opening bell, but Hazel has completely overwhelmed Zack early on before sending him into the corner! Zack is looking a bit groggy, which Hazel takes advantage of with a Superkick out of nowhere! TOOTH DECAY! Hazel with the cover, is this really it this early?
1!
2!
3!
Stroup: Zack Tyler has been eliminated!
Aiello: Whoa, Hazel just got Zack by surprise with that superkick! I can't help but wonder if Zack was ready, but it looks like we won't have much time to find out!
"Phoenix" by Fall Out Boy plays, but Mio Yoshino is rushing to the ring in no mood to fool around! She's out for revenge against Hazel Overton as she slides into the ring, and the two women go at it with flurries of offense, trading lefts and rights. Mio starts to take control now as she sends Hazel into the ropes, looking for a clothesline on the rebound...but the Bitch ducks it before hitting a neckbreaker on the Black Rose. Hazel is now the one in control as she lifts Mio up, only to drive her back down with a snapmare driver! SUGAR FREE!
Hazel looks to have this one done as she goes for the cover!
1!
2!
NO! KICK OUT BY MIO!
Aiello: Hazel really taking it to Mio Yoshino with that Sugar Free, but the Black Rose is not wilted just yet!
Bennett: Hazel made a statement going into this match, and man is she ready to put an exclamation on it!
Hazel once again pulls the Black Rose up, this time by her hair! Hazel lays in several hard slaps to the face of Mio, living up to her nickname as the Bitch sends Mio into the ropes. Hazel goes for another Tooth Decay...but Mio dodges it! Hazel is shocked as Mio leaps off the ropes, hitting a crossbody! With Hazel down, Mio takes to the turnbuckles, egging Hazel on to come after her...before nailing a tornado DDT off the top rope! REMIX! Mio with the cover!
1!
2!
3!
Stroup: Hazel Overton has been eliminated!
Aiello: Eliminations coming fast and early in this gauntlet match, that just leaves us with Mio and the champion himself!
"Nightcall" plays as smoke billows on all sides of the ramp until it covers the titantron itself. The name NIGHTCALL shines through the fog in a brilliant pink neon. Decked out in a red jacket, sunglasses, and clutching a vape pen, Nightcall walks down the runway. By the time the cloud dissipates, Nightcall tosses his vape to a ringside official and goes over to nearby fans. He hands one his pair of sunglasses before rolling inside the ring...but Mio is having none of it, going after the champ with some hard kicks!
Nightcall eventually manages to get to his feet, and the two are at it going toe to toe with lefts, rights, and a few kicks for good measure before Mio sends the champ to the ropes looking for a roundhouse kick...but Nightcall ducks under! Nightcall showing off his gonzo style of offense now as he sends his challenger back with some lefts and rights, showing off all the while with some boots to the midsection before choking Mio with his foot in the corner! The ref starts counting and gets to three before Nightcall steps back, assuring the ref he'll back off before Mio charges at him with a forearm smash!
This is the opening that Mio needs as she keeps on the attack with some hard kicks that bring the champ down to one knee! This is it, as Mio launches herself with an enziguri! The champ is down as Mio goes for the cover!
1!
NO! NIGHTCALL KICKS OUT!
Mio refuses to believe it as she brings Nightcall to his feet...but the champ catches Mio with a dragonscrew leg whip, sending the Black Rose crashing to the canvas!
Aiello: Nightcall surprisingly bringing the pace of this match down as he takes control!
Bennett: He saw how quickly those other eliminations went down, and he knows he needs to stay on top of things if he wants to retain the title!
The champ continues the attack as he looks for an surfboard stretch, but Mio scrambles to get back to her feet. Another exchange of of kicks between champion and challenger before the champ goes for an enziguri this time...but Mio ducks the leg which sends Nightcall crashing into the canvas. Mio thinks this could be her opportunity as she once again climbs the turnbuckle. She's looking for another Remix, this time hoping to put the champ down...but Nightcall catches her in mid-air with a Californian Buzzed Saw Kick! Nightcall with the cover!

DING DING DING
Stroup: Mio Yoshino has been eliminated! Your winner, and STILL the FX Broadcast Champion... NIGHTCALL!
Nightcall celebrates the win as we see an angry Mio before cutting to commentary.
Aiello: What a match to kick things off tonight, folks! Some quick eliminations in this gauntlet, but a great effort from everyone involved!
Bennett: It was definitely close in spots but ya gotta give Nightcall credit here for retaining when all was said and done!
Aiello: This show rolls on with the first of our big grudge matches of the night, as Davey Dunham takes on Jack Severn!
As a matter of fact, we're about to hear from one of those competitors now as we cut away from ringside ...
We cut backstage, where we see Davey Dunham entering the office of Assistant GM Timothy Kahrs. Dunham hands Kahrs a slip of paper, which the Assistant reads off.
Kahrs: Okay, so...David Dunham?
Dunham: Reporting for duty.
Kahrs: Okay, David, I understand you're here to seek some revenge against Jack Severn for what he's put you through.
David sternly nods.
Kahrs: And you want...
Timothy checks the paper again.
Kahrs: ...a Falls Count Anywhere match?
Dunham: Yes, sir.
Timothy takes a moment to ponder this before nodding in agreement.
Kahrs: Alright, then. I'll make sure Stroup knows by the time you get to the ring. Let's see what you can do, soldier.
With that, Dunham marches off as we cut back to ringside...
A GRUDGE MATCH TO BEHOLD!
[FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH]
We return to ringside where commentary is standing by!
Aiello: Well folks, we just received the announcement and this grudge match is officially falls count anywhere!
Bennett: I'm tellin' ya Joe, this is gonna get bananas!
Stroup: The following match is a Falls Count Anywhere Match! Joining us first, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, weighing in at 220 pounds ... JACK SEVERN!
'15 Minutes' by Shattered Skies hits as Jack walks down to the ring once the lyrics start, smiling with the utmost confidence in his face. He claps for himself, mocking the crowd, as he walks all the way down to commentary, asking them who they think is going to win, angrily throwing a water bottle when they don't answer. Once in the center of the ring, he waves the Monday Night Brawl flag and relishes in the crowd's hatred, mocking them and their heroes. He leans up against the ropes with one foot on the middle rope, screaming maniacally at the hard camera about how he's going to win and step closer to his destiny. He throws off his jacket, fired up.
Stroup: And the opponent, residing in Columbia, South Carolina, weighing in at 225 pounds ... DAVID DUNHAM!
'Bastards of Young' by The Replacements plays as Dunham walks, almost marching down the ramp. At the bottom of the isle he looks into the ring at his opponent before scanning the crowd. He turns on his heel and heads up the steps, through the ropes and into the ring. He stands, at ease, in the corner waiting for the bell to ring.
Aiello: You can see the look that Dunham is giving Severn right now, he's ready to make the Heartless one pay for everything that's happened the past few months!
DING DING DING
Dunham runs at Severn knocking him down with a right hand. Severn gets to his feet as Dunham grabs him and rams Severn head first into the corner. Dunham unloads with punches to the gut and forearms to the face. Dunham Irish Whips Severn to the opposite corner. Dunham charges but Severn gets a boot up. Dunham catches the boot and jerks Severn out of the corner before lashing out with a Clothesline. Severn ducks it but Dunham hits Severn with an Inverted Atomic Drop and a Clothesline that drops Severn to the mat. Dunham unloads with a series of right hands forcing the referee to intervene. Dunham rolls to the outside of the ring as Severn gets back to his feet. Dunham reaches under the ring and pulls out a kendo stick. Dunham then throws the timekeeper from his seat and grabs the chair. He tosses both items into the ring before rolling into the ring himself.
Severn drops an Elbow onto the spine of Dunham as he rolls into the ring. Severn whips Dunham off the ropes but Dunham is able to duck a Superkick and run off the opposite ropes. Right into an Uranage Slam. Severn lifts Dunham to his feet hitting a quick Snap Suplex before lifting him again and hitting a Buckle Bomb. Severn charges and eats a raised boot before Dunham hits a staggering Severn with a Belly to Belly Suplex onto the chair and makes a cover.

THR... NO! KICK OUT!
Severn gets a shoulder up breaking the count.
Aiello: Close one by Dunham here, but Severn's back at it!
Dunham picks up the kendo stick. Severn is on his feet and is blasted in the gut with the kendo stick bending him in half. Dunham brings the kendo stick down hard over the back of Severn. Severn falls to the canvas as Dunham blasts him again with the kendo stick. A third shot is blocked when Severn grabs the kendo stick. Severn gets to his feet before pulling the kendo stick from Dunham's hand. Severn raises the kendo stick but stops. Severn looks at the kendo stick horrified and tosses it away. Severn gets kicked low for his hesitation. Dunham pulls a bent over Severn toward him for a DDT but Severn is able, somehow, to counter with a Northern Lights Suplex onto the chair.

Severn staggers back in shock allowing Dunham to Clothesline Severn over the top rope to the outside. Dunham then vaults over the rope crashing down on Severn. At ringside, Dunham lifts Severn hitting a Sidewalk Slam on the ringside floor.

THR... NO! KICK OUT!
Severn rolls onto his side breaking the count.
Aiello: Severn clearly trying to stay in the game here, even with how much Dunham's dished out!
Bennett: Anger is good Joe, but if David isn't careful he WILL slip up!
Dunham drags Severn to his feet and attempts a Suplex. Severn blocks it before Suplexing Dunham onto the ring apron and rolling him into the ring. Severn climbs to the top turnbuckle and leaps at Dunham. While Severn's in mid air, Dunham is able to get to his feet and catch Severn with an Uppercutt knocking him down to the canvas. THR... NO! KICK OUT!
Severn gets a shoulder up breaking the count. Dunham runs off the ropes for something but is knocked down by a swinging chair from Severn. Severn throws the chair to the outside of the ring. He stands over Dunham as the referee goes to count but there's no cover. Severn stands in the corner with his back to Dunham yelling 'I can't. I hit him with a chair. It's not a fair win' at the crowds pleas for him to make the cover.
Aiello: Severn starting to really some of that change of attitude we've been hearing about, Steve!
Bennett: Perhaps he thinks this is the best course of action against Dunham's aggression!
Severn turns to face Dunham as Dunham slowly gets to his feet. He runs at Dunham. Dunham lashes out with the chair himself but Severn ducks it before hitting The Silencer.
ONE...

DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall JACK SEVERN!
Severn rolls out of the ring almost yelling at himself at ringside. The referee holds his arm up in victory and Severn does acknowledge the cheers of the crowd as he walks up the ramp.
Aiello: What a match we just witnessed here, Severn showing some form of a change of heart and just managing to stave off Dunham's need for revenge!
Bennett: Gotta give Dunham some credit here of course, he was a man on a mission and very nearly succeeded in that mission!
Aiello: Folks, up next we have a big tag match as KU and Antoni Malietoa team up to take on the returning Damage Incorporated!
The ref and other officials check on Dunham as we cut away from ringside...
Aiello: We’ve been told that we need to go to the back where Bob Murray is waiting to have a word with the members of Damage Incorporated.
Murray: Thank you Joe. Bob Murray here with the lovely Miss? Mrs? Ms? Lacey Savage and Malice and Mayhem of Damage Inc who are mere moments away from their debut match on a Brawl Pay Per View. Now we’ve been told that you have some last words for your opponents?
Malice snatches the microphone out of Bob’s hand with a snarl on his face before speaking.
Malice: You’re damn right we do. Malietoa, you had a lot to say in your little podcast appearance. You said you resented us because we didn’t put in the same amount of work that someone like you puts in to prepare for a match. And why is that? Because we treat this job like a business? Because we have people who compile our data for us? It’s called teamwork bubba, and our manager is an integral part of that team.
Malice motions to Lacey, who gives a sly smirk as Malice continues.
Malice: Tell me my man, if someone reads a book to enrich their knowledge, or in your case goes to some site like Wikipedia, where someone else has compiled a bunch of facts and knowledge that they need to know, does that make that person ‘lazy’? We have people do our research for us so that we can concentrate on our physical training. The better prepared we are in the ring, the better chance we have to circumvent our opponent's skill set to get the win. Circumvent. There’s a forty dollar word for ya. Not bad for a couple of dumb thugs.
Malice hands the microphone to Mayhem, an angry look on his face as he begins to speak.
Mayhem: KU claims their advantage lies in the fact that Malice and I know each other too well and because we are so in sync with each other that we each trust in the other's skills too much. To that I only say this: Am I my brother's keeper? Yes I am. We didn't decide to specialize in tag team wrestling because we wanted to be two individuals who helped each other succeed. We became a tag team with the hopes that when people think the name Malice or Mayhem they automatically associate those names with Damage Incorporated.
Mayhem motions to himself and Malice before continuing.
Mayhem: We set out to be a team in the same lineage as The Dudley Boys or The Road Warriors or even NSFW, a tag team that, though they are one of our 8 losses in the EWC, we still greatly revere and admire. You and Toni are simply a partnership, but Malice and I, we are a team and in a few short minutes you'll come to understand exactly what the difference is between those very different relationships.
With that, Lacey motions for the microphone, to which Mayhem obliges.
Savage: And as far as winning the big matches, how many titles have you boys brought home because I’m pretty sure the opportunities have been there. We've got a win at WrestleFest, how about you boys? I'm pretty sure Malietoa was watching the show from a luxury box the year that we beat S.T. on the grand stage and in 2020 he lost his grand return match just like KU lost to Marcus St John in a past life.
Lacey chuckles at the thought, shaking her head before continuing.
Savage: You think you know me and what I want for my team? You think you know who I am? Why, because you were Collected like some commodity by some guy who thought of you as a novelty act to be owned instead of an investment in the future? You couldn't even comprehend what a woman like myself had to endure just to get to this level. Everyone underestimated me. No one would give me a chance. No one but Malice. No one but Damage Incorporated. You have no idea how much I have invested in this team. You think I'm using them? Of course I am. I'm using them to win matches. I'm using them to win titles. I'm using them to make money. I'm using them to make it to the top. And they are using ME for the very same things. Because we're a team and what's good for one of us is good for all of us.
All three of them nod with a smirk, before Lacey continues once more.
Savage: You, like so many others, have sadly underestimated just what you have gotten yourselves into, but you’re about to find out just how big a mistake it is to think that you know the whole story when all you’ve ever seen is the cover of the book.
"This Is Gonna Hurt" by Sixx A.M. starts to play and Lacey Savage drops the microphone and steps through the curtain, followed closely by Malice and Mayhem as we cut back to ringside.
THE LEGALLY-OBLIGATED TAG TEAM PPV BOUT!
[TAG TEAM MATCH]
We return to ringside where commentary is standing by!
Aiello: Here we go folks, tag team action awaits as KU and Antoni Malietoa take on Damage Incorporated!
Bennett: We're about to see a slugfest, Joe!
"This is Gonna Hurt" by the band Sixx A.M. starts to play and Lacey pushes through the curtain as Jessica Stroup begins her introduction.
Stroup: The following match is a tag team showcase. Joining us first, now based out of the Fear Factory Fight Dojo in Chicago Illinois. Weighing in at a combined 725 pounds: Accompanied to the ring by Lacey Savage, They are Malice and Mayhem... DAMAGE INCORPORATED!
Pyro explodes across the stage. The light pulses like lightning and Lacey Savage appears. When the lightning pulses again a thick smoke rolls in, and from the smoke come two huge figures dressed in matching ring attire.
The group marches in lock step down the ramp to the ring. Once between the ropes the group clusters together in a tight huddle to go over their final game plan, each member sizing up their opponents and getting ready for a war. Malice holds the ropes open for Lacey before the bell rings where she takes her place at ringside where she prepares to aid her team however she can.
Stroup: And their opponents, first making his way to the ring From Apia, Samoa by way of Auckland, New Zealand weighing in at 254lbs......He is The Samoan Warrior.........ANTONI......MALI-E-TOA!
Fog engulfs the entrance ramp, highlighted by green lights as "Be Somebody" by Fort Minor begins to play throughout the arena. From the smoke emerges Antoni Malietoa with his eyes wide and arms out to his sides. As the fog clears, Antoni takes a step forward as he psychs him self up with a yell. The crowd begins to cheer for the Great Warrior.
As the fog clears, Antoni takes a step forward as he psychs him self up with a yell. He glares from the stage at the members of Damage Inc as he flexes his tense muscles and awaits the arrival of his partner.
Stroup: And his partner hailing from Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, weighing in at 230 Lbs, this is.... KU!
Stroup: And his partner hailing from Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, weighing in at 230 Lbs, this is.... KU!
Fuck It by Seether starts to play as the former Black Tree of Sapporo stalks onto the stage to stand next to his partner. With a nod to Antoni the two men walk together down to the ring.
In the ring Malice holds the ropes opposite the ramp open so that Lacey can exit the ring. Both teams stare at each other with Damage Inc in the ring and The Great Warrior and KU out on the floor.
Aiello: You couldn't crack the tension between these four men with a ten pound sledge. Nobody light a match because the air in here is about the explode!
DING DING DING
As the bell rings KU and Malietoa both take a running start and dive under the bottom rope. Mayhem catches KU with a foot stomp while The Great Warrior leg trips Malice to the mat. Malietoa gets the mount on Malice and starts to rain down on the big man with forearm strikes.
Mayhem pulls KU to his feet a hitting him with a bicycle knee strike that sends him stumbling back where he flips over the top rope. KU somehow manages to land on his feet and steps back away from the apron just in time for Mayhem to launch himself over the top rope and crash into him with a Tope Con Hilo.
In the ring Referee Josh Daniels designates Malice and Antoni to be the legal men. Malice fights the big Samoan off to get to his feet. Both men start to exchange blows to the head and body with Malietoa throwing open palm strikes and elbows and Malice throwing heavy handed punches. Malice slips a shot by Antoni and hits him with a hard straight cross that back him up enough for Malice to deliver a discuss elbow strike that rocks him down to the mat.
Aiello: Wow, look at that impact!
Bennett: Malice taking control early on here!
Outside the ring both Mayhem and KU have recovered from the collision. Mayhem hit hard and is shaking out the cobwebs which allows KU to get the upper hand with several open handed slaps followed by a stiff forearm smash and a European Uppercut. Mayhem backpedals with each strike until his back is against the guardrail at ringside. Pinning the man against the rail he begins to assault his opponent with stiff chops, elbow strikes, driving knees to the body, and a hard headbutt right to the center of Mayhem’s face which stuns the man and brings the blood. Taking a few steps back to allow him a running start KU goes for a Shotgun Dropkick but Mayhem moves out of the way at the last second and KU crashes hard into the unforgiving steel.
Mayhem recovers and grabs KU, throwing him to the mats and concrete with a Doomsday Saito Snap Suplex. KU’s head bounces disturbingly off the floor. Turning his back to the man Mayhem plants both feet and flips backwards bringing both knees down across KU’s chest with a version of a Standing Moonsault Knee Strike. He then stays on all fours and starts to lay into KU’s rib cage with a series of ground and pound knee strikes. He adds insult to the assault by standing up and punting KU right in the side of the head.
The ringside fans have been whipped into a frenzy and Mayhem pauses to mock them as KU tries to shake the haze out of his head. Amazingly he begins to pull his way up the apron to try to get to his feet. Seeing, but not believing, his victim start to recover Mayhem rushes at KU with sick purpose but his momentum is halted by Forearm Chop to the throat that drops him like a limp sack sending sweat and blood droplets flying.
Aiello: The level of violence really ramping up here now!
Bennett: As it damn well should!
Back in the ring Malice stomps Antoni Malietoa where he lays before hauling him up by the hair and whipping him across the ring intending to put him back down with a Clothesline From Hell. But Malietoa recovers on the rebound and he comes back at Malice with a Spear. Grabbing Malice by the arm he slaps on a High-Wrenching Armbar from a mounted position that causes the big man to shout more out of frustration than pain. Malice fights his way to his feet with his arm still trapped in the hold. He writhes and wrenches to try to free himself, threatening to pull his shoulder out of socket, but Malietoa refuses to release his grip.
The Ref checks on Malice to see if he wants to submit but he just shouts curses at him. Malice kicks back several times hitting Malietoa on the inside of the once injured knee before he loosens the hold enough for him to reach back and grab Antoni by the ankle. He jerks his leg forward pulling the Samoan Warrior off balance causing him to fully release the hold to keep from possibly being re-injured by keeping Malice’s full bulk from coming down on his leg. Malice takes the opportunity to whip around and lay the big man out with a stiff Stan Hansen style Lariat. He goes immediately for the pin:

KU comes out of nowhere to punt Malice in the jaw and break up the pin!
He then stalks to his team’s corner and grabs the tag rope, putting his hand out for the tag. Malietoa gets to his feet and tags the strong style grappler legally into the battle for the first time in the match.
Aiello: Here we go, tag to KU!
KU comes into the ring and rushes at Malice who is back on his feet and angry, clutching at his jaw. KU intends a running knee strike but instead he is met with a Pop Up Powerbomb from an angry bull of a man. Practically dead lifting KU up off the mat Malice slings him up, breaking his opponent’s back across his shoulder with a Canadian Backbreaker before dropping him like a heavy bag with a Standing Shoulder Slam. The exertion of this power move combination leaves him sucking bad air and he goes for the tag instead of going for the pin.
Over in Damage Inc’s corner Mayhem’s face is crusted in crimson from his battle with KU out on the floor earlier in the match but he is rested enough to take the tag from his partner. Scaling the ropes and crashing down on the grounded KU with a 450 splash from the top turnbuckle Mayhem immediately transitions into an STF Crossface. Wrenching back on KU’s neck he tries his best to get a scream out of his opponent but, to his obvious frustration, KU remains stoic and silent. Mayhem pulls back harder until KU’s face begins to turn a bright shade of red.
Fearing his partner is about to fade out Antoni comes crashing into the ring with a Basement Dropkick to the head of Mayhem that causes him to release the hold. This brings Malice back into the ring where he bulls into Malietoa with a shoulder tackle and the two brawl their way out of the ring and down to the floor. Mayhem and KU both lay stunned in the center of the ring as Lacey Savage drums on the mat while she shouts at her man to be the first back to his feet. Josh Daniels stands over the two men and begins the ten count:
1...2...3...
Aiello: This one's coming down to the wire!
Lacey shouts louder but it is KU who starts to stir first.
4...5...6…
Mayhem starts to drag himself up to a knee as KU finds his way to the ropes and uses them to lift himself almost upright.
7...8…
KU gets all the way up as Mayhem lunges towards the turnbuckles for support. Seeing his target in the perfect position KU hits the ropes and launches himself into the corner, hitting Mayhem in the center of his back with a High Knee Strike and dragging him out of the corner in a Rear Naked Choke, using his bodyweight to pull the man down to the mat.
Mayhem struggles to free himself, managing to push KU’s leg under his body and block an attempted mount to turn his hips and pull KU over to gain control causing the well trained Sapporo warrior to break away and attempt to Axe Kick Mayhem in the back of the head. Mayhem dodges the attack and gets ahold of KU’s lower leg, throwing him with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip.
Getting to his feet Mayhem runs the ropes, stepping over KU in the process to hit a Springboard Moonsault followed by a quick Standing Senton. Mayhem goes for the pin.

Kickout!
Both the crowd and Mayhem are both shocked that KU is able to kick out.
Aiello: KU really showing that fighting spirit here!
On the floor Malice holds Antoni Malietoa back as his partner goes for the pin. He is also shocked by the kickout and that draws his attention away from his adversary long enough for him to gain an advantage. Antoni whips The Steele Destroyer into the railing, following him in with a spear that drives both of their bodies through the rail and into the crowd. Fans scatter as the two men struggle to be the first to their feet. Malice beats Malietoa up by half a step, grabbing a chair right out from under a fan and throwing it back at Antoni’s face. The Samoan Warrior blocks the first chair with his forearms but the second shot glances off his skull, busting him open and knocking him further out into the crowd and towards the concession area.
In the ring Mayhem is standing next to the ropes watching these events unfold. With his back turned he doesn’t see KU get up and launch himself off the ropes. Mayhem hears Lacey holler and turns around just in time to meet The End. KU’s High Angle Dropkick lands solid, knocking Mayhem over the top rope and out to the floor.
Out in the crowd Malice and Malietoa have chased everyone out of the concessions area and have scattered trash and merchandise everywhere. Malice strikes Antoni on the ear with the inside of his forearm. Antoni kicks Malice in the gut, grabbing him up with a double choke Powerbombing him through the concessions table. At this point other referees have come out to help Josh Daniels regain order and the officials try their best to direct the match back towards the ring.
With Mayhem out on the floor KU waits to watch his count out victory unfold. The ref counts:
1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9…
A dazed and shaky Mayhem manages to pull himself under the bottom rope with Lacey’s help just in time to beat the count. Annoyed by this KU lays into him with kicks and stomps before he pulls him up to give him The Ultimatum. But Mayhem has enough left in him to duck the move, coming up with a Straight Muay Thai Elbow to the chin that stuns KU. Mayhem hits a Roundhouse Kick followed up with a Single Leg Backbreaker and Front Leg Trip combination. He goes for the pin but KU kicks out quick.
Malice lurches to his feet with blood on his head and a broken piece of table in his hand that he uses to smash across Malietoa’s head as he is being pushed back by the team of officials. He hits him two more times before the refs get the weapon away from him. Scattering the herd Malice uses the distraction as an opportunity to snap off a Savate Kick that he follows up by popping the off balance Antoni up into a Samoan Drop. Using The Great Warrior’s fallen frame to push himself upright he grins through his crimson mask, seemingly very proud of his intended insult.
With Malietoa down Malice stumbles his way back towards the ring where KU and Mayhem are still exchanging moves in quick succession. Elbow Strike and Slingblade from KU. Leg Trip by Mayhem who attempts his Back Flip Double Foot Stomp but KU rolls out of the way and gets to his knees. Mayhem kicks him in the arms and body. Once, twice, three times. KU just stares at him with an immovable expression. Mayhem hits the ropes and comes back with a Shining Wizard, locking in a Crippler Crossface to finish off his Dead Sleep combination. Again KU stubbornly refuses to make a sound or tap out.
Aiello: KU's not giving up so easily!
Bennett: He's digging in deep!
Mayhem howls with frustration and relinquishes the hold just as Malice finds his way back to the ring. The two big men stand over KU like vultures congregating around a corpse. Mayhem goes to the corner to allow his partner to tag into the match. Malice picks KU up in the Torture Wrack, dropping down hard into a seated position to complete the Damage Plan Shock Treatment Backbreaker. Malice then picks KU up in the wheelbarrow position, holding him there to allow Mayhem to hit the Top Rope Guillotine Leg Drop, Sacrificing the man to the wrestling gods.
Before Malice can go for the pin a bloody Antoni Malietoa gets back in the ring. The two big bulls battle over his fallen partner with Antoni doing his best to fend off both members of Damage Incorporated. He clotheslines Mayhem to the outside and turns his attention to Malice. Malice rushes at him but he’s met with a Snap Front Kick followed up by The Malosi DDT.
As this is going on KU crawls towards his team’s corner. Malietoa follows him over, stepping out on the apron and tagging his exhausted partner out of the match.
Climbing to the top rope the bloody and beaten Warrior steadies himself on the top turnbuckle, measuring Malice who is laid out on the mat by The Malosi. Stepping out from the turnbuckle onto the rope Malietoa brings The Spirit of the Warrior down from above but when he goes for the pin Malice gets his shoulder up. With a look of shock Malietoa looks to the fans and then to the heavens looking for a way to beat the man.
Grabbing both sides of his head Antoni picks Malice up and holds him upright for a moment before he drives the hardest part of his head into the bridge of Malice’s nose with great force. He follows this shocking blow off by clamping on an Iron Claw and driving the big man almost through the mat with his Benchmark finisher.
As The Great Warrior goes for the pin Mayhem slides into the ring as Lacey screams for him to hurry, but he is intercepted on his way to breaking up the pin by KU who again hits him with The End from his blind side. The Ref counts:

DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall The Great Warrior Antoni Malietoa and KU!
Mayhem pulls a still dazed Malice out of the ring and with an irate Lacey Savage the three of them make their way to the back accompanied by the boos and jeers of the fans in attendance.
Antoni pats KU on the shoulder and KU nods at his partner and offers his a respectful half bow before the two men leave the ring and walk heavily to the back.
Aiello: What a brutal match we just witnessed, folks! All four men giving it their all, and KU and Antoni just pick up the win!
Bennett: Ya gotta give credit to Damage Inc. though, they showed their tenacity tonight and are ready to get back into the thick of things in the tag division!
Aiello: Folks, we are just moments away from going live from Alcatraz for the first-ever Hard Times Match, as King Flip goes to war against Callie Clark!
Before we do however, it seems we have someone standing by backstage...
The camera cuts backstage to Bob Murray as he stands outside the Love Club locker room. He reaches out and knocks on the door and waits. From behind the door he hears the voice of Bunny Love.
Love: Is that you Bob?
Bob shakes his head, the Southern Express had sent him a message to be right here at this time so who else could it really be.
Murray: Yes, it’s me...I’m here for our segment, you guys want to come out? It doesn’t make good TV to do an interview through a door.
But the door doesn’t open, instead we hear the voice of Jimmy Lane.
Lane: Are you standing in front of the door Bob?
Bob shrugs his shoulders, having just knocked on the door where else would he be.
Murray: Yes, I just knocked on the...are you guys coming out or what? My time is precious and shouldn’t be wasted on stupid…
But Bob is cut off by the voice of Bobby Rose.
Rose: You have nothing else scheduled for this moment Bob, so your time isn’t precious...it’s ours...and we are going to need you to either step back a few feet or move off to the side.
Murray: Are you kidding me right now? Listen here…
Love: JUST DO IT BOB OR I’M GOING TO COME OUT THERE AND BLAST YOU IN THE BALLS SO HELP ME GOD!!!!
Lane: She’ll do it Bob, my left nut still hasn't fully descended back down out of my stomach…
Bob thinks back to Bunny punching Jimmy in the nuts and quickly takes several steps back away from the door and yells…
Murray: OK, I MOVED BACK...CAN YOU COME OUT NOW?
But Bob hears trumpet music coming from behind the door and as it opens smoke bellows out into the hallway as a red carpet is tossed out and rolls right out in front of Bob
Murray: What the hell…
But Bobby Rose, Jimmy Lane and Bunny Love come walking out on the red carpet with smiles on their faces
Murray: Can I ask what the meaning of all this is?
Love: We are rolling out the red carpet for us Bob...something Brawl should have done when we announced we would be attending Hardcore Revolution…
Murray: And why would Brawl roll out the red carpet for you three...you made Paramount your home…
Rose: Because Bob today is a very historic day…
Lane: A day that means a lot for us...and Brawl…
Bob looks at the trio puzzled but Bunny helps out
Love: Today marks 337 days The Southern Express have been the EWC Tag Team Champions Bob and they officially have moved past Brawl’s Cyrus Black and his 336 days as International Champion and into 4th on list of Longest Reigns here in the EWC!!!
Rose: History is being made here tonight Bob and we thought…
Lane: That the EWC might want to celebrate this feat, yet…
Rose: There is no champagne in our locker room Bob…
Lane: No balloons or strippers to entertain us…
Rose: No video package for the fans to cheer our achievement…
Love: Not even a red carpet to roll out...luckily we brought our own…
Lane: We brought our own strippers?
Love: No, red carpet…
Rose: We both prefer no carpet Bunny but if there must be carpet ‘red’ is our favorite…
Lane: Nothing beats a good old fire crotch…
Bunny smacks both men who just laugh
Murray: You expected Brawl to celebrate this achievement did you, well…
But Bobby reaches out and covers Bob’s mouth
Rose: No Bob, we really didn’t expect them to even mention it that’s why…
Lane: We came here tonight, to point it out to all these Brawl fans…
Love: We know they loved Cyrus Black but the fact is we passed him and we want to also honor him, it was a hell of a mark, 336 days is nothing to make fun of and we aren’t making fun of it...we are just passing it...and the next date we have our sights on is The Moors Murders 364 days as EWC Tag Team Champions, a date we will look to pass at this year’s Parabellum…
Rose: The very event where we won these championship’s Bob…
Lane: Funny how that all worked out isn’t it...it’s like a fairy tale…
Love: Or simply how a calendar works but Bob at Parabellum we will be looking to make history, to go down as the GREATEST TAG TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF THE EWC…
Rose; And that’s what we are here Bob, to celebrate the passing of Cyrus Black and looking ahead to Parabellum and passing The Moors Murders historic run…
Lane: And to cheer on Xavier Reid tonight in the Main Event, I mean GO LOVE CLUB!!!
Rose: So thanks for coming Bob and being a part of our little celebration…
Bunny reaches into her pocket and tosses confetti and glitter into the air and it covers Bob as she puts a noise maker and blows into it, the end smacks Bob in the face as the trio turn and retreat back into their locker room leaving a poor Bob Murray alone and looking like he just left a strip club as we cut away...
ONE OF THESE TWO MAY WELL SERVE...HARD TIMES!
[SINGLES MATCH - HARD TIMES MATCH FROM ALCATRAZ]
We return ringside where Stroup is ready to announce the next competition.
Stroup: The following contest is a Hard Times match featured on the island of Alcatraz! To win this match, the competitors must outlast their opponent to the count of ten. There will be no pinfalls and victory cannot be obtained by submission. The only way to win the match is to be able to keep your opponent down for the referee on hand's ten count. Ladies and gentlemen of San Francisco, we thank you for coming to Hardcore Revolution and watching from home and it is our pleasure to introduce to you... Hard Times.
The X-Tron flickers. You are taken to a far shot camera that is slowly panning in on a dark coastal landscape. You can see clearly the Golden Gate bridge in the distance. The island of Alcatraz sits just as dark, cold, and dreary as it would on any other brisk June evening in San Francisco. An official tone picks up as cameras slowly pan in.
VO: Alcatraz. The government's answer to lawlessness in the height of mafia crime in the 1930's. It would stand as America's only inescapable prison for over thirty years. Prison wardens everywhere kept a photo of this remarkable island on their desk. Whenever a ward gave them trouble, all they had to do was point to the photograph and say 'If I see you again, I will send you to Alcatraz.' to surely set them straight.
The tone of the voice sours and drowns itself out as even the scene begins to grey. We switch camera shots to view the near-untouched floors of the main prison building. A view upward shows the penitentiary's size going up to a fourth level. The massive structure surely impossible for two people to explore entirely. Quick shots pan to a prison yard, housing facilities, the roofless church as a darker tone picks up where the last left off.
VO: The complex touted it could hold six-hundred prisoners, though it never exceeded half that in use. Respect outside of the island was lost when you shared the uniform with the ward next to you. Even Al Capone got shanked.
Cameras return to the prison yard, the only lights illuminating the yard coming from the old guard towers in the far corners. Deep in the low light against a fence sits King Flip with one hand on his baseball bat. A referee is pacing around nervously. The tone picks up again.
VO: Many conflicts started and ended in the prison yard of Alcatraz. A small space of recreation where wards could get fresh air and participate in sports. It is in this space of historical aggression where we begin. King Flip. Callie Clark. Hard Times.
As the voice says Callie Clark, she comes into view in her own classic style: cosplay. She stands in confidence from head to toe in the question mark suit of The Riddler, topped with question mark bowler cap and tie, the old-school green eye cover, and a green steel staff that comes to a huge, golden question mark at the head. The King scoffs as he finds a vertical position.
Callie Clark: Riddle me this, Flip. Whoo is about to be black and bluue, leaving this island on a stretcher, too. Spoiler alert: it's you!
Callie cackles with head thrown back, both hands firmly grasping her two-handed staff. Flip appears a bit sour.
King Flip: You're joking. I thought I was the bad guy?
The two begin the all-too-common circling. Neither wanting to show the first weakness.
Callie Clark:Oh, you are the bad guy... but I never said I was good. I need to be badder if I wanna make you pay for what you did.
Flip's demeanor goes from sour to a little amused. Intrigued, perhaps, as the two continue to size one another up.
King Flip: Alright, villain, this is your only opportunity for a big bad speech. Let's hear it.
The circling stops, cameraman Old Man Jeff just behind Flip as Callie indulges his inquiry.
Callie Clark: I've been concocting this plan for months and it's all coming together. Don't you see the brilliance? I've turned this island into my own personal fun house and now I've got you right where I want you.
King Flip: Told you she's tryna smash.
Flip says this softly over his shoulder. Callie continues.
Callie Clark: This war ends tonight, Flip. And it ends with me standing over your unconscious body. But look on the bright side... if you ask nicely, maybe I won't throw you into the ocean after I win. Maybe.
She smiles as she finishes. Flip gives an accepting nod as he lifts the baseball bat to point it at Callie.
DING DING DING
The bell sounds from the arena to signal to the fans that the bout has officially begun. On the island, the same sound crackles through the old speakers still affixed to the main building. Flip takes the first swing, then a second, both only striking and grinding against Callie Clark's defensive use of the cane. She catches the barbed-wire wrapped weapon of her opponent in the big question mark and forces it from Flip's hands. Callie yanks and throws the staff aside with the bat tangled on top. Flip leaps forward. SMACK! Stiff open palm slap with his right hand across her face. She hardly stumbles back. SHMACK! Callie retaliates with a wild Connor McGregor style swing, connecting with her own open palm across his face. Flip grabs her by the air and eats three back-to-back forearms to the mouth. He fires back with a right hand, then fails to see the reverse coming to his Irish whip. Callie makes her move and whips Flip into the old jailhouse fencing. He bounces off into a backflip dropkick that sends Callie colliding into the harsh concrete.
Aiello: it goes without saying exactly how serious this is for both competitors. Callie with an early mind game by coming in full Riddler regalia. After that backflip dropkick, however, I'm not sure how much anybody can get inside the mind of a maniac like King Flip.
Bennett: Did you see the way they slapped each other there? This is a stand from both of these BRAWL competitors. The unadulterated violence that is sure to come from both of these cats won't be for the feint of heart. So if you have to look away-
Aiello: Oh give me a damn break, Bennett!
In a huff, Callie sits up and picks up her bowler cap. It has a harsh black skid across the side. King Flip smiles as he gets to both feet. She Oddjob tosses the bowler cap right into his eyes! Flip lets out an "ARGH!" as he grabs for his eyes and continues forward regardless. Callie sweeps up in and removes her coat in one swift motion, throwing it over Flip's head before bulldogging him. He holds! Flip runs at the fence with Callie in arms, but she uses both legs to shove off of it.
Bennett: Stratus-faction guaranteed, Aiello?
Aiello: That was certainly a well-executed bulldog off the fencing, shades of a the classic move usually reserved for kicking off the ropes. Effective nevertheless.
Callie plants Flip on the ground and winces in pain herself after skidding off the concrete again. She slowly gets to her feet as the referee begins the first count of the match.
1 . . 2 . .
Miss Clark grabs her staff and is attempting to work the bat out of the question mark.
3 . . 4 . .
Flip begins to stir as the two weapons finally come apart. She tosses the bat aside.
5 . .
The coat-covered King on all fours hears the bat clanging on the concrete and darts toward the sound! Callie slams the big question mark end of the staff down on Flip's lower back hard two consecutive times. He winces and stumbles but gets to his baseball bat. He yanks the coat off and hucks the bat at her head. She was raising the staff for another strike, but quickly abandoned that with a toss of the staff so she could duck under the bat. It spins just over her head, the barbed-wire visibly tugging at the tip top of her hair as is just barely misses contact. She gets up and Flip is in a seated position. He basketball passes the bunched and wadded Riddler coat and nails her in the face.
King Flip: Remember when... bitch?
Aiello: Flip crudely talking about the time he tossed his vest at Tori, pushing the two to get involved in his contendership match back when this all started.
Bennett: You mean the match King Flip had against Zack Tyler that he won by disqualification because she got involved. Can't say I remember it, but I do remember Callie Clark leaving King Flip flat on his ass on more occasions than the other way around, single X-Division match between them notwithstanding.
Flip rolls backward into a standing position as Callie throws the coat to the ground as hard as she can. He begins to beckpaddal with a smile on his face and his hands raised in the air for a moment. Callie is more frustrated than injured, standing and staring at Flip as he continues backward toward the corner fencing near a guard tower.
King Flip: You're not the only one who left surprises, Callie. Please... come see this view. It's breathtaking.
She turns behind her, looking between the two weapons, and grabs the bat. Flip is pulling at what appears to have been pre-cut fence. He attaches a corner of the cross-stitch fencing to a hook he must've left there some time before. He presents his newly-made passageway to Callie who is approaching with the baseball bat.
King Flip: Yes! Bring Delilah. She'll appreciate this, too.
Bennett: Did he just...?
Aiello: King Flip refers to that baseball bat wrapped in bared-wire by the name of Delilah Elizabeth, yes. He's done it several times at this point Bennett.
Bennett: Sure, but for him to see his opponent with his weapon and... I just... is he crazy? Has he lost his mind?
Flip makes his way through the hole in the fence and walks several feet near the edge of what would be a terrible fall. Callie Clark pauses for a moment, looking at the baseball bat for a second before continuing. She too clears the hole and makes eye contact her opponent. He throws his hands up again.
King Flip: Now, now. Wait just a second. The view.
Callie Clark: Say goodbye to your little girlfriend.
King Flip: WAIT.
She doesn't. Callie Clark swings the bat with everything she has before releasing it into the air. Flip can only watch as it soars through the sky until coming to its sad resting place. Shattering across the rocks hundreds of feet below them. He had taken several hasted steps toward the bat before it'd become impossibly out of reach. Gone... he just stares out. Callie appears ready behind him for some sort of attack. He doesn't make any. He only sighs.
King Flip: You'd said you wanted to throw me off a cliff. I was... I was just... Callie, you have no idea what you just did to me.
Callie charges from behind and is met with a pele kick.
Aiello: CROWNING MOMENT! That signature kick from King Flip as he... I don't know, laments?
Bennett: I told you it was weird.
Standing up, Flip again does not continue an offense. He walks to look out one last time.
King Flip: That stupid fucking bat was all I had left. Everybody I'd ever met in the early years of my career are either dead or retired. All I had left was that Goddamn BAT. AND YOU JUST FUCKING THREW IT!?
Flip turns around to see Callie making her way back to the fence. He makes chase, grabbing her by the hair and the back of her pants to send her barreling into the fence. She bangs into it and rolls into the hole as Flip continues. Callie rolls again with a solid grip on the fence. The woman quickly gathers her footing beneath her and use the fence like the ropes as she jumps at an unsuspecting opponent.
Bennett: SLINGSHOT SPEAR OFF THE FENCE! Callie Clark is bringing it here tonight.
Aiello: They both are, but this is the second time Callie Clark will have Flip down as the referee starts a count.
1 . . 2 . .
Callie is pleased with herself, heaving in breath, on her knees with a big smile on her face.
3 . . 4 . .
Flip is still completely motionless.
5 . . 6 . .
Until he isn't. The man begins to stir and the smile quickly fades from Callie Clark and she shakes her head. Flip gets on all fours.
7 . . 8 . .
Callie Clark: Long live the King.
Aiello: What the hell does that mean?
Bennett: I don't think you're gonna like it.
Callie breaks the count, grabbing Flip by the back of the head and bringing both of them close to the cliff edge.
Aiello: DON'T DO IT, CALLIE.
Bennett: She can't hear you.
King Flip skids his feet down with a quick right elbow to the midsection of Callie Clark just as they reach the edge she'd surely toss him from. Another elbow brings her to a complete stop. He follows with a backdrop and both competitors are feeling the pain of the hard, rough ground outside the fence.
Aiello: Thank goodness, Bennett. What if she had chucked King Flip off the side? Were we supposed to watch the referee count to ten?
Bennett: Uh, yeah. That's exactly what we would've done.
Aiello: That's not professional wrestling... that's just sick!
Bennett: Hella sick.
Both have gotten to some sort of vertical position but Callie Clark is... running away? She leaps through the hole and looks to be making a break for the main building. Flip shakes his head before chasing after the girl. Miss Clark is making remarkable distance between the two as her opponent slowly and safely clears the hole with the referee. He waves the ref on and unhooks the fencing, trying for a second to stretch it back out into place. The King eventually gives up and starts running to where he thinks he saw the referee go.
King Flip: I apologize to the city of San Francisco!
Cameras switch to Callie, who has made her way into the main building and beyond. She's running track on these concrete floors and finds some office-looking door. She quickly opens and closes it behind her without the camera picking up much of anything inside. Meanwhile, we pan back to Flip who has slowed to a jog as he reaches the doors into the main building. He defensively leans back as he opens the doors... nobody there. He makes his way in and looks around. Nothing. Not even the damn referee. Flip looks momentarily panicked as he begins storming through while making a vein attempt at keeping his head on a swivel. Finally, he finds himself in the hallway he needs to be in. Just ten feet from him is the door Callie retreated into. But between him and the door stood a very bloodied... heavy breathing... bloodied bodyguard of Callie Clark.
King Flip: Oh, is she just in there?
Tori walks right into a roundhouse kick to the jaw. She stumbles back into the door. Flip grabs her by the hair on both sides of her head, yanks down, then full force sends his hands and the back of her head through the plate glass window. He screams out in pain as he shoves her away. His fingers are bleeding and much of the wrap around his wrists and palms were slashed into heavily. Chuckling, he spits on the ground before wiping his mouth.
King Flip: Thanks for telling me. Bitch.
The King continues wincing as he makes sure all of his digits are still in working, attached, proper order before opening the door and revealing so many mirrors. How so many fit in this old office room is beyond him. Before he can even begin to process it the air is filled with the sound of white noise. The old static noise that would come from a television losing reception. Flip smiles as he enters the room, amused with whatever the hell this is exactly when the mirrors reveal the television set. The static stops and, on repeat, a clip of Flip's manager getting her head smashed through a mirror backstage on BRAWL. Callie can be heard laughing... from somewhere... as Flip rushes through. He bangs into several mirrors before finding, lifting, and breaking the television on the ground. He stares about... fists up... he can't find her... but she finds him with another spear. This one through several mirrors behind them!
Aiello: OH MY GOODNESS! CALLIE JUST SPEARED THEM BOTH THROUGH MIRRORS!
Cameras switch back to spot in the hallway much further in than where Tori still lies on the ground. The two opponents crash through an open doorway that'd been set up to be blocked by the mirrors that are shattering all around them. Referee on-duty had resigned to eating his back pocket sandwich in the hallway when they scared the pastrami on rye right out of his hands and all over the floor. He looks dejected... then reluctantly starts the count.
1 . . 2 . .
Neither are moving.
3 . . 4 . .
Aiello: That was a hell of a move by Callie but it just might cost her here. Everything on the line, of course you pull out all the stops. I mean hell, Flip just put his own hands through plate glass to make sure he put Tori's head through that window. This is just violence for violence sake at this point.
5 . . 6 . .
Aiello: At this point I hope they both just stay down.
Bennett: You disgust me.
7 . .
Fans erupt at the sight of Chanel who is barely able to limp toward Flip, helping him stand just as Tori is barely able to do the same. Chanel just backs up with a smile, blood covering the entirety of her face, as she ushers Tori to follow off camera.
Chanel: Come on, Tall Bitch! We ain't done yet!
Tori thunders after Chanel and falls flat on her damn face when Flip shoves his leg out to trip her last second. She leaps it last second. He huffs, again barely able to maintain himself on one knee as Callie is once again fleeing from the scene. He throws his hands up, checking a few spots on his body to see that the cuts aren't alarmingly deep before hobbling after this damn woman for the second time of the night. He is around the bend and just about to return to the main central chamber when he just barely ducks a baseball bat! It snaps against the metal bars that were next to him before the bat falls to the ground. A cry out in pain as it was Callie on the other end. The swing into the metal reverberating back into her hands. She stumbles backward into some concrete steps as Flip stumbles out. Callie Clark with the drop toe hold. No! Flip catches himself at one knee. They both roll into position. DOCTOR DRIVER II SENDS CALLIE NECK FIRST ONTO THE STEPS!
1 . . 2 . .
Aiello: Is this finally it? Is it all gonna be over?
3 . . 4 . .
Bennett: It would appear so and just look at the look on their face. Finally an end to all this.
5 . . 6 . .
Aiello: I certainly hope this is the end! I can't imagine how the hell this gets ANY... more violent.
7 . . 8 . .
King Flip has his hands on his knees, a small sense of pride he smiles. His opponent unmoving.
9 . .
Bennett: That... was Hard Times.
10.
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, as the last person standing... KING FLIP!
The ref raises Flip's hand as medical staff rush to check on Callie, before we cut back to commentary inside the Chase Center.
Aiello: What an absolute war we just witnessed here, folks! These two really gave everything they had, with King Flip just coming out on top!
Bennett: You can see it in his face Joe, that is a man who looks like he has finally finished what he started.
Aiello: Folks, we are just moments away from the Undisputed Championship being defended as Ace King collides with Stephanie Matsuda in a Weapon X match! This one's gonna be violent, folks!
Before we do however, it seems we still have some business in Alcatraz to attend to...
The X-Tron flickers back to life, taking us back to Alcatraz one last time. As medical staff tend to Callie and check on Flip, we see someone stirring off in the distance, chained up to a fence. One of the medical personnel rushes over to check, and the person is just barely able to life some sort of covering off their head...it's Jim Connors!
Connors: H-help...
Connors faints, prompting the personnel to call for further assistance as we cut back to the arena once more...
As the scene goes up to a VIP box, we see tables lined with treats of every variety. The room looks like a mini Candyland. But that’s not surprising when we see the Rayders in the middle of it all.
Candy: Looks like we got everything we need in here.
Robbie: More like everything you need.
Candy: That’s not true.
Candy smiles proudly as she points to a very SMALL table in the FAR away corner with Robbie’s healthier looking treats on it.
Robbie: My mistake. It IS everything WE need.
Her husband responds with a half smile before heading over to the table. As Robbie looks over his choices, Candy addresses the camera.
Candy: Now I’m sure you’re wondering what we’re doing here. Since Hardcore Revolution wasn’t too far from the Candy Castle, I decided to come and check out all the action. Figured coming to Chase Center might give me a little insight as to what steps need to be taken next.
She pauses slightly.
Candy: As I’ve said before, Brawl hasn’t seen the last of me.
As Robbie returns with a plate in hand, he holds it out to his wife.
Robbie: Want one?
She makes a face.
Candy: Pass.
The Sweet Treat turns her back on the veggies and dip and heads over to make a plate of the good stuff as cameras cut back to ringside...
A WAR OF ATTRITION FOR THE BIG ONE!
[SINGLES MATCH - WEAPON X]
FOR THE EWC UNDISPUTED CHAMPIONSHIP
We return to ringside where Callie Clark and King Flip just finished their huge war at Alcatraz. We're now back live at the Chase Center in San Francisco, and the atmosphere is absolutely electric, particularly with the audience knowing exactly what match is coming up next. We cut to commentary while the ring is getting last minute inspections finished up.
Aiello: Well folks, our fight for the Undisputed Championship is about to go under way! Ace King versus Stephanie Matsuda in an Weapon X Match! Last time we saw Matsuda in an Weapon X Match, she lost. Will that history repeat, or will she find a way to succeed this time around?
Bennett: Don't forget though, last time she was against that violent sonuvabitch, Xavier Reid. Not to say King isn't violent, but he fights very differently than Reid does. And he is our Undisputed Champion for a reason, no matter what you think of him. Take us away, Stroup!
Stroup: The following match is a Weapon X Match! Making her way to the ring! Being accompanied by Monica Vaughan! From Brooklyn, NY! Weighing in at 132lbs, "The Queen of Fighters”... STEPHANIE MATSUDA!
“Oh La La” by Run the Jewels plays as Stephanie "Cloud" Matsuda walks out dressed in her signature black fitted cap and a bandanna around her face. Trailed by manager Monica Vaughan, Matsuda walks on stage and crouches low, getting ready for her match.
Stephanie and Monica walk down the ramp, their eyes fixated on the ring. At the bottom of the ramp, Matsuda runs and slides into the ring. She takes a moment to run the ropes and throws her hat into the crowd. She then climbs the nearest turnbuckle, pulls down her bandanna, and stares into the crowd. She then jumps down and prepares for her match.
"THE ACE OF SPADES! THE ACE OF SPADES!!!"
The signature Motorhead anthem rips through the Chase Center, and the crowd starts cheering. As the drums kick in, pyro goes off up and down the ramp. Once the guitars hit, a plume of fire goes up on either side of the ramp as Ace King rises to the stage from a platform, looking out at the crowd and nodding in appreciation.
Stroup: Making his way to the ring, FROM Las Vegas, Nevada, weighing in at 235 pounds... He is THE UNDISPUTED CHAMPION... THE GAMBLER...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGGGGGG!!!
A thin smile crosses Ace's face as his weathered eyes look out at the crowd, pausing for a few more seconds on the platform before casually making his way down the ramp toward the ring, his arms outstretched for fans on either side of the barricade. He stops a few steps short of the ring, then dives in under the bottom rope as pyro explodes off each turnbuckle. Ace spins up to one knee, then takes another appreciative look out at the crowd before getting back to his feet and turning his attention to his opponent, his game face firmly on.
Aiello: Regardless of whether we see a new champion or not, we're definitely gonna see one hell of a war. Hang onto your seat, folks! This is bound to be a personal and extremely violent brawl we're about to witness!
DING DING DING
The first thing both competitors do is look up towards the scaffold. High above them is the Undisputed Title dangling above the two fighters. They take a moment to soak the sight in, reminding themselves exactly what they're fighting for... and then ... both look back towards one another.
Just in time, too, as Matsuda makes it clear from how swiftly she runs forward she wouldn't have had any regrets on trying to attack Ace if his focus hadn't returned to the here and now. She goes for a Buzzsaw Kick to Ace's midsection! Ace grabs the leg and twists it, starting to try to trap Cloud into a Texas Cloverleaf!
But Matsuda is refusing to let Ace have his way! She uses her left boot and slams it into Ace's knee. The pain is enough to make The Gambler let go before he can lock the submission in. The two briefly back away from one another, only to lock up as they rendezvous in the center.
Normally, this would be something easily in Ace's favor. However, with the attacks on his lower body, it's actually more even than most would expect! This earns quite the pop from the audience as, eventually, Ace overpowers Matsuda - albeit shakily - and throws her against the turnbuckle directly behind her. She winces as her back hits it hard and she slumps against the middle set of ropes.
Ace, meanwhile, is forcing himself to remain standing despite the agony surging through his leg!
The two glance back up to the scaffolding ... and the cheers get louder as both rummage through the scaffolds and procure a weapon. As they stand across and turn to face each other, the crowd goes insane! They're both holding kendo sticks!
Aiello: These two have bad intentions with those kendo sticks!
Bennett: You're damn right, Joe! This is gonna get ugly real quick!
The two cautiously walk towards one another, neither wanting to fall off and risk injury or giving the other wrestler an easy route towards the prize. But once they're in reach, they begin to swing their kendo sticks at one another! Were it not for the stadium and ring surrounding these two, one would swear they're watching a new type of fencing match!
One strike from The Gambler manages to slam against Matsuda's hip, causing her to hiss and grimace in pain. Her head lowers. Is the pain too much?
NO! MIST! MATSUDA HAS SPRAYED MIST IN ACE'S EYES!
Ace lets out some audible and frustrated screams as he attempts to deal with the mist as swiftly as possible. All the while, he holds tightly onto his own kendo stick, not wanting to let go and disarm himself. While he's trying to regain his vision, though, Matsuda begins landing hit after hit onto Ace's body with her own kendo stick!
She starts on his shoulders, slamming the wooden stick as hard as possible onto each! She then gets a few more assaults on his chest, causing the wind to get knocked slightly out of The Gambler.
And right as Matsuda goes for the legs ... it collides with Ace's kendo stick. Ace merely shakes his head, hinting he's not going to make it that simple for her. He still appears to be struggling with the mist, but from we can assume he's using his hearing to make up for not having the ability to see properly.
Matsuda clicks her tongue as she pulls her weapon back. She swings again, managing to smack Ace's arm once more, but still looks visibly frustrated at failing to hit all of the spots she was going for.
Aiello: The champ showing a bit of frustration here!
Bennett: He's trying to find the right move that's gonna swing this match in his favor!
With Matsuda having noticed Ace using his hearing, she tries to deceive him by purposely hitting different parts of the scaffolding. It does indeed seem to work, as his head follows the noises echoing around him. Cloud smirks at this and, when she feels the most confident, charges forward.
But she's met by a smirking Ace, who reveals he's dealt with enough of the mist to regain his sight!
Matsuda tries to pull back and give herself some space, but Ace quickly delivers a vicious European Uppercut straight to Stephanie's jaw! The challenger stumbles backwards, clearly reeling in pain! Ace then proceeds to return the exact same favor Matsuda gave mere moments ago and swings his own kendo stick violently at The Queen Of Fighters!
The first few go straight to Matsuda's head! Another her lower lip, which gets busted! One even lands on her throat, causing quite a few "Oooohhh"s from the audience.
Stephanie uses a combination of her reflexes and being able to completely see to evade some of the assaults, but definitely not all of them.
By the time Ace finally stops attacking with the kendo stick, both wrestlers are panting. Their bodies are crimson from the impacts of each kendo stick, some blood, and are even already beginning to show bruises.
The audience is literally on the edge and even standing up out of their seats, cheering wildly for these two. Numerous "THIS IS AWESOME!" and "FIGHT FOREVER!" chants have begun to ring throughout the arena!
Aiello: Just listen to this crowd, Steve!
Bennett: They've been hungry for violence all night Joe, and this match is set to deliver!
Ace saunters, albeit somewhat shakily, towards Matsuda. One strong enough smack against her own stick forces her to let go. To her amazement, Stephanie sees Ace ... throw his own weapon away? She raises an eyebrow, seeming to silently ask what the hell he's doing.
Not allowing her any chances to figure his plan out, The Gambler closes the distance between them and hoists her up! The audience roars as they recognize the pose as that for Pocket Aces!
Stephanie is struggling wildly, even audibly screaming if he's lost his mind!
And maybe he is because ACE LEAPS OFF WHILE STILL HOLDING ONTO MATSUDA! POCKET ACES FROM THE GODDAMNED SCAFFOLDING!
The two land and collapse onto the ring which, somehow, is still intact despite a bit over three hundred and fifty pounds abruptly hitting the damn thing!
Suffice to say, though, both fighters are still very much down! The referee begins checking them both, and looks damn well ready to end this match, but NO! Ace moves an arm, and amazingly, so does Matsuda! With signs of life being seen from both competitors, the match continues on.
As both Ace and Stephanie finally stand up, we see both their foreheads have been busted open! They're both bleeding! Matsuda looks something in between horrified and furious at what just happened!
Ace begins to move forward towards his opponent once more, but slumps to the mat as a Yahtzee from seemingly nowhere finds his jaw! Stephanie sees an opportunity after that superkick, and begins climbing the scaffolding! She's going for the title! She sneaks peeks down every now and again and, at one point in time, does see Ace climbing not too far behind her. She scowls but continues moving, refusing to stop and let anyone keep her from reaching her goal.
Aiello: Stephanie's making the ascension!
Bennett: The War Queen has her eyes on the prize!
Matsuda is so damn close! Her fingers are just barely brushing against the Undisputed Championship! She grips on her lower lip, knowing and understanding she needs to climb just a bit higher. From below her, though, Ace tugs at her legs, trying to yank her down!
Even with the difference in strength, Cloud is clinging onto the support and scaffolding for her literal, dear life!
But this only further inspires Ace to increase his efforts and, eventually, he does indeed pull on Stephanie hard enough to make her drop! Some of the audience members actually scream as she begins to fall ... BUT SHE GRABS ONTO ONE OF ACE'S BOOTS!
The Gambler looks down, seeing Stephanie still not done fighting, still frantically hanging on. The briefest of apologetic looks enters his eyes ... but not enough to stop him from going through with his actions.
FULL HOUSE! FULL HOUSE!
Matsuda's eyes roll to the back of her head as she seems to be almost literally knocked out by that roundhouse kick, and falls back down onto the canvas below! With the clear and present danger now dealt with, Ace continues to climb! Tears form in the corner of his eyes as his hands wrap around the title, but he refuses to let them fall down his face!
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via retrieval AND STILL EWC UNDISPUTED CHAMPION AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGGGGGG!!!
Both Monica and medical staff hurry quickly to check up on a barely moving Stephanie. Ace shakily manages to safely climb and land back down into the ring, still holding onto the Undisputed Championship. Monica screams at Ace, hurling over words like "Monster!" and phrases like "What's wrong with you?!"
Ace merely stays silent, refusing to answer as he holds the title up high ... and then falls to a knee.
Both Matsuda and The Gambler are helped onto stretchers, with Ace still stubbornly holding onto the title, and carried carefully but quickly towards the backstage area of the arena. Even as they vanish from sight, the audience continues to cheer for both fighters, even Matsuda despite her rough loss tonight.
Aiello: Wow. Just umm ... wow. It's hard to say any words. That was way more than a war, we damn well nearly watched Ace King almost literally kill someone for that title.
Bennett: It's the damned Undisputed Title, Aiello! The absolute highest title in this company! You gotta be willing to do crazy shit like that sonuvabitch just did in order to earn, let alone retain it.
Aiello: Fully agreed, Steve! Folks, we just witnessed something special, but we still have our main event to attend to! Up next, Xavier Reid defends...
Joe is interrupted by some familiar music blasting through the arena ...
Am I brave enough?
Am I strong enough?
To follow the desire
That burns from within
To push away my fear
To stand where I'm afraid
Am I strong enough?
To follow the desire
That burns from within
To push away my fear
To stand where I'm afraid
The crowd explodes into cheers as Gabrielle Visconty walks out onto the entrance ramp. She looks down at Stephanie on the stretcher, the former International Champ looking laser-focused as she raises the mic in her hand.
Visconty: Matsuda, I would say sorry to break up this moment, but it looks like I don’t have to worry about that now, do I?
Gabi frowns as she turns her attention to the crowd.
Visconty: I'm going to be completely honest, here...I didn’t care if you had won or lost your chance at the title here tonight, Stephanie… I came here because I’ve been sitting around with a soft cast on my knee for the better part of a month and a half!
The anger in her voice is suddenly tempered by the chant of GABI VEE, GABI VEE, GABI VEE echoing throughout the Chase Center. She holds her hand up to silence the crowd, obviously not in the mood for it.
Visconty: I’ve spent a month and a half trying to figure out what would possess someone to sink so low as to try to intentionally try to end someone’s career. And that is what you did, Steph, you went after my knee with the full intention of inflicting career ending damage. You can try to play dumb and claim you didn’t intend to do it, or say it was an accident… But I heard you running your mouth, claiming that wouldn't even apologize. This coming from someone running a martial arts school, someone who has a life-long background in martial arts, someone who claims to know honor. Nah, you knew exactly what you were doing… and that just makes you a giant piece of shit for doing it.
The crowd cheers as Gabi points at Matsuda, who's now attempting to leave the stretcher only to be held back by the medical staff.
Visconty: You made this personal! You made this about more than a title shot!! Matsuda, it is time for you to pay the Piper!!!
Gabi spikes the mic off the ramp as she glares at Matsuda. Gabi starts to turn to head to the back, but stops when Timothy Kahrs appears.
Kahrs: Gabi, I can respect all this anger you have right now...but the fact of the matter is, you still haven't been cleared to compete yet!
This garners a chorus of boos as Gabi begins shouting at Kahrs, before we cut away from ringside...
The scene cuts backstage and inside The Love Club locker room where we find ‘The Memphis Mouthpiece’ Tommy Love standing in front of Xavier Reid, the EWC International Championship sitting next to him on the bench. As the camera pans out we see Bobby Rose and Jimmy Lane of the Southern Express and their manager Bunny Love. Xavier is looking at them as Tommy speaks up.
Tommy Love: That man is looking to step into that ring here tonight and take your SPOT in this company, on this brand...he’s looking to take that championship and what...use it to cash it in for a bigger prize...is that what you want for the championship you had to work so hard to win back? Do you want the International Championship disgraced like that? Treated like a secondary prize by a man that doesn’t want it...yeah he’s said that but it’s lip service...he wants it so he can have another shot at the Undisputed Championship…
Bunny nods her head and picks up where her father left off.
Bunny Love: You brought respect back to that championship Xavier, before you legitimize it it was treated like a hot potato, someone would win it, vacate it, win it, vacate it...you put a stop to that...broke the jinx if you will and brought stability to the championship and for what...for Bosa to come in, win it and then toss it aside when he wins the Undisputed Championship...to give Vacant another run with the International Championship…
Bobby and Jimmy nod as they look at Xavier
Rose: Look at us, how many times have jackasses in this company come looking to replace us as champions…
Lane: Um…
Jimmy nudges Bobby and whispers
Lane: The kid was one of those ‘jackasses’ that came looking to replace us as champions…
Bobby’s mouth drops open as he starts to laugh
Rose: Oh yeah, so you get it kid, that championship puts a target on your back and you are left with two options...knuckle under and just hand it over or…
Lane: Stand up, walk to that ring and fake a heart attack…
Bobby smacks Jimmy
Rose: Stand up, walk to that ring and show Bosa why the hell you are the International Champion and why he’s only a contender…
Tommy Love: He thinks it’s his destiny to win that championship, like it’s owed to him...he’s entitled Xavier and it’s up to you to go out there and show him he’s not worthy of YOUR championship...you need to end this once and for all right here at Hardcore Revolution…
Bunny Love: He’s never been in this spot before Xavier, in the Main Event of a ppv for the biggest prize on Brawl...you have, you’ve headlined StrangleMania, headlined this ppv Hardcore Revolution, stepped into the ring with 7 other champions at Night of Champions and walked out the winner of the Power Struggle match...and yet he calls you a joke…
Lane: A fucking joke…
Bunny Love: He hasn’t had anywhere close to the career you have had here in the EWC and yet he thinks because he’s got a few wins this season that he’s The Man…
Lane: He’s The BEAST OF BRAWL Bunny...see they made t-shirts…
Jimmy holds up the new Beast of Brawl t-shirts, being sold exclusively right now on ewc.com
Bunny Love: No, it’s time for you to go out there and show the EWC that you, Xavier Reid are The Beast Slayer…
Rose: Xavier we came here tonight to celebrate the fact we passed Cyrus Black on the All Time Longest EWC Championship Reign, to celebrate day number 337, moving us past Cyrus’s 336 into 4th place…
Lane: And to be here for you kid, to make sure you are ready to go out there and show the world that you are the very best International Championship the EWC has ever seen…
Rose: For you to take your place in history alongside us…
Lane: But to do so you must Slay the BEAST kid…
Bobby and Jimmy both nod as Tommy puts his hands on Xavier’s shoulders
Tommy Love: Best 2 out of 3 Falls, I’m putting money on the fact that Bosa can’t beat you twice in one night Xavier...that’s how much faith I have in you tonight...you said Bosa doesn’t understand your heart, your desire for the International Championship well go out there and show him what a champion is made of…
Bunny Love: Let his words echo through your ears, every time you don’t want to get up, to kick out remember what he said...what his ENDGAME is Xavier...remember he’s planning to toss that aside like it means nothing to him…
Rose: Fight for your championship Xavier…
Lane: Fight like your life depends on it…
Tommy Love: Fight like the International Championship’s life depends on it...now...are you ready…
The Love Club look at Xavier who springs up
Reid: You’re damn right I am...I’m going to put down the Beast once and for all…
Xavier walks past the Club as Bobby and Jimmy pat him on the shoulder, as does Bunny as Tommy follows him out of the locker room as we cut back to ringside.
THE MUCH-ANTICIPATED REMATCH!
[SINGLES MATCH - TWO OUT OF THREE FALLS]
FOR THE EWC INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
We return to ringside where final preparations are being made after that vicious Weapon X match moments ago, cutting to Joe Aiello and Steve Bennett at commentary.
Aiello: Opening Match Hype Comments
Bennett: Opening Match Hype Comments
Stroup: The following match is a two out of three falls match for the EWC International championship!
The arena goes silent as Jessica Stroup stands at center ring. Around her, camera's flash and fans speak amongst themselves as she smiles. Raising the microphone, her earrings sparkle under the lights as she continues to speak....
Stroup: Joining us first, from Marin, California, weighing in at 265 pounds ... He is the BEAST of Brawl … BOSA!
"Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains begins to play! The crowd completely erupts as Bosa emerges from the backstage area! Stopping on the stage area, he glares at the ring a moment, adjusting his gloves and pads. He looks determined, his eyes remaining on the ring as the camera pans around him.
As his theme song continues on, Bosa walks down the ramp and towards the ring, reaching out to slap the hands of the fans along the way. Once at ringside, Bosa then raises both fists slowly as a fireworks display erupts behind him, sending the fans into a frenzy!
With the fans still cheering and chanting his name, Bosa lowers his fists and ascends the metal stairs. Stepping through the ropes, he circles the ring once as he nods his head in respect to the fans! The fans continue to cheer him on as Bosa comes to a stop in the middle of the ring...
And then the spotlights inside the arena start to flash around the crowd as 'Papercut' starts to play out
Xavier Reid walks out onto the stage in his new black trunks, kickpads and boots, his hands wrapped in black tape with the EWC International Championship around his waist and following him out is ‘The Memphis Mouthpiece’ Tommy Love. He walks to the front of the stage and crosses his arms into an X in front of his chest and smirks as Tommy follows from behind and acts as if he’s going to hit the camera with the ‘Love Stick’. Tommy points to the ring as Xavier unhooks the International Championship and hands it to Tommy who raises it into the air as Xavier walks towards the ring shadow boxing as he makes his way down the aisle.
Xavier storms up the steps and climbs into the ring, Tommy follows suit and walks towards the referee, already complaining about something. Xavier storms across the ring to the opposite corner and jumps to the middle rope and looks over the crowd and once again crosses his arms into an X as Tommy holds up the International Championship in the officials face and reminds him who the champion is face but the official ignores him and walks away as Tommy laughs. Xavier jumps down and squats down in the corner waiting for the bell.
Stroup: And his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by 'The Memphis Mouthpiece' Tommy Love, from New York, weighing in at 220 pounds, he is the EWC International champion ... XAVIER REID!
DING DING DING
Both men begin to pace around the ring, their eyes locked onto each other with looks of pure determination. Bosa is the first to strike as he rushes forward at Reid, lifting his leg up for a big boot … but Reid manages to slip underneath him, using the sudden shift in momentum to pull Bosa down into a cradled pin!
ONE!
Bosa uses his strength and manages to kick out of the hold almost immediately. Reid looks to Bosa with a grin on his face, which leads to Bosa nodding with approval.
Both men get to their feet and pace around each other, but Reid strikes first with stiff kicks to Bosa's knees repeatedly. Bosa attempts to shrug them off, but then Reid sweeps Bosa's legs, knocking him to the mat, and then quickly grabs Bosa by the legs and locks in a Figure Four!
Bosa uses his strength and pulls himself to the rope, breaking the hold legally, but Reid keeps applying pressure, forcing the ref to count!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
FOUR!
Reid releases at four and makes his way to the opposite turnbuckle as the ref checks on Bosa.
Aiello:
Bennett:
As soon as Bosa stands, Reid rushes Bosa, attempting to take the big man out with a knee strike to the skull, but Bosa scoops him up, spins him around, and plants Reid with a tilt-a-whirl sideslam! Bosa hooks both of Reid's legs for the first fall!
ONE!
Reid gets the shoulder up with ease, but Bosa gives him no time to recover as he mounts over him and begins to rain stiff punches down onto the champ from above!
Aiello: Bosa really laying into the champ with those punches!
Bennett: Reid looks like he might be learning a hard lesson from the challenger!
Bosa continues the assault for a moment, but then Reid manages to slip his shin under Bosa's chin, then wraps his hands behind Bosa's head, locking in the Triangle Choke!
Bosa claws at Reid's hands in a feeble attempt to break the hold, but Reid has the hold locked down! Reid pulls back on Bosa's head with as much force as possible, trying to knock him out early into the match!
Bosa's fight seems to fade slowly, but Reid doesn't let up … until Bosa suddenly uses his strength to hoist Reid up into a powerbomb position, and then slams him down to the mat with authority! Bosa stumbles back into the turnbuckle while Reid rolls to the opposite side of the ring where Tommy is seen calling out to Reid.
Aiello: Uh oh, looks like Tommy might be getting involved!
Bennett: Calm down Joe, he's just giving the champ some guidance!
Both men get back to their feet in opposite corners, trying their best to recuperate from the other's attacks. Reid then bursts from the corner, charging at Bosa with a full head of steam, but Bosa meets him halfway and damn near takes the champ's head off with the Chin Check, sending him flying back towards the ropes!
Reid crashes down to the mat hard and lays flat on his back in a daze, but Bosa gives him no chance to recover as the pins the champs shoulders down!
ONE!
TWO!
Before the referee calls three, he points to Reid's foot, which is resting on the bottom rope!
Aiello: Reid just managing to stay alive in this one!
Bennett: The champ showing his ring awareness, Joe!
Bosa chuckles to himself as he drags Reid to the center of the ring, this time hooking both legs and going for another pin!
ONE!
TWO!
TH- Reid gets the shoulder up right before three! Bosa looks down at Reid in disbelief for a moment, then picks himself up with the champ. Bosa tosses Reid into the corner, lays a few stiff shots into his abdomen, and then backs away to the opposite turnbuckle.
Bosa then lunges forward, running at Reid with a full head of steam, and hoists his boot up high to kick Reid's head off in the corner …
But Reid drops down to the mat, making Bosa collide with the top turnbuckle, making his leg get hung up over the top rope!
Aiello: Reid's got some bad intentions here!
Reid takes the opportunity and lays some kicks into Bosa's side until he drops from the turnbuckle, then Reid takes a few steps back, stalking Bosa as he gets to his feet. As Bosa turns to face Reid, Reid leaps up, grabs Bosa by the back of the head, and drives both knees into Bosa's face with a move he now calls The BEAST Slayer!! Reid hooks the legs!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
DING DING DING
Stroup: Xavier Reid has won the first round!
Aiello: Reid managing to get the first fall in this match, but can he capitalize?
Reid gets into his corner and feeds off the momentum of the pin while Tommy jumps into his corner and cheers him on. Bosa pulls himself up with the opposite turnbuckle, smacking himself in the head in an attempt to shake off the loss.
Aiello: Bosa looking to get his head back in the game here!
Bennett: Good! Pay attention Bosa, or you're gonna find yourself in a bad way!
Reid rushes at Bosa, not giving him any time to recover, but Bosa responds almost immediately with a devastating spear in the center of the ring, turning Reid inside out! Bosa wastes no time as he grabs Reid by the hips, hoists him up from the mat and then plants him right back down with a German Suplex!
Bosa lets out a primal roar as he paces around Reid, doing everything in his power to siphon Reid's momentum away. Bosa yells at Reid, telling him to get up as he stalks the champion. Once Reid is on a foot, Bosa rushes forward … but Reid hits him with a drop toe hold, rolls down Bosa's back, and locks in a crossface!
Aiello: Reid's got that crossface locked in!
Bennett: He might get two falls in a row off this, Joe!
Reid pulls back with everything he has, applying as much pressure as possible to the hold. Bosa scratches for the ropes, but he is too far! His hand begins to shake and twist, almost as if he's about to tap …
But instead, he grabs Reid's hand and begins to pry it away from the other, loosening the hold enough for Bosa to break his arm free! Bosa then wraps his arm around Reid, picks him up as Reid attempts to break free, then slams him down with a sidewalk slam! Bosa goes for the cover!
ONE!
TWO!
Kickout at two!
Aiello: What a close call for Bosa!
Bennett: Reid still has some fight left in him, though! Never count the champ out!
Bosa sits up and just smiles at Reid, admiring his tenacity as champion. Reid gets to a knee, looking to Bosa with pure determination for a moment before lashing out with a stiff strike! Bosa takes it in the jaw, then fires one back at Reid!
The two men start slinging shots at each other, Bosa using his strength to eventually overpower the champion as he catches one of his arms and uses it to lift them both up. Bosa then knees Reid in the gut, lifts him up and attempts to plant him with another powerbomb, but Reid slips out and reverses the attack into a tornado DDT …
But Bosa manages to catch Reid on the final spin suddenly, using Reid's momentum against him to turn the tornado into the U.T.B cutter!! Reid's eyes glaze over as he hits the mat and Bosa goes for the cover!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
DING DING DING
Stroup: Bosa has won the second round!
Aiello: Bosa with a pinfall over the champ!
Bennett: Yeah, but now he needs to dig in deep and go for it all!
Bosa backs into his corner and fires himself up, feeding off the excitement of the crowd as he gets one step closer to winning. Reid pulls himself into his corner with a look of shock on his face. Reid then pulls himself up in the corner and let's the ref know he's good to go.
Bosa charges at Reid, throwing all of his weight into another Chin Check, but Reid rolls out of the way! Bosa turns to face Reid but is greeted by a pele kick to the side of the head! Bosa stumbles back onto the rope, but Reid gives him no time to recover as he charges forward and nails Bosa with a dropkick, sending him over the top rope and down to the floor below!
Bosa immediately pulls himself up with the announcers desk, but Reid still refuses to give him any time as he dives through the middle rope and crashes into Bosa, sending both men over the announcers desk and into the commentators!
The referee looks over the ropes and yells at the men to get back in the ring, but then Tommy gets into the ring and starts to argue with the ref! While the ref is distracted, Reid grabs one of the laptops that fell from the desk and slams it across Bosa's head as he sits up, then he grabs the International championship from nearby and clocks Bosa in the face with it!
Reid rolls over the table and drags Bosa to the apron while Tommy exits the ring with a sadistic grin on his face. Reid pushes Bosa back into the ring and then slides in after him, covering him for the win!
ONE!
T- Reid THROWS Reid off of him with brute strength! Reid looks to Bosa in shock as Bosa gets to his feet, seething with an undying rage after Reid's dastardly attacks. Reid rushes forward and leaps at Bosa, but Bosa catches Reid and plants him with a snap powerslam!
Tommy jumps up onto the apron, pulling Bosa's attention away for a moment. Bosa approaches Tommy and swings wide at him, but Tommy jumps down quickly, avoiding the shot. As Bosa throws some words at Tommy, Reid uses the chance to leap up onto his shoulders from behind and then brings him down with a reverse Frankensteiner!
Reid then rolls over to Bosa, grabs both arms, and starts to slam his boot down into Bosa's face repeatedly with the Fuck You Stomp! After a few moments, Reid halts the attack and backs into a corner, stalking Bosa as he gets to his knees.
Aiello: Alright folks, we're back to the desk now, Bosa looks like he's in trouble!
Bennett: Reid's just about got this one, Joe!
As soon as Bosa is in position, Reid rushes forward and attempts to punt Bosa in the head, but Bosa lunges forward and catches Reid, hoisting him up for yet another powerbomb …
But Reid was ready for it!! Reid manages to slip his shin under Bosa's chin again and locks in the Triangle Choke from above! Bosa slams Reid down to the mat with a sickening force, but it does more damage to him than Reid as it just drives Reid's shin into his throat further!
Bosa grabs Reid's hands and attempts another powerbomb, but he collapses as soon as he lifts Reid up. Bosa lay still on the mat, not answering the referee's call, blood starting to drip from his lips, as the referee calls for the bell!
DING DING DING
Stroup: Here is your winner via knockout and STILL! The EWC International champion! … XAVIER REID!
Reid releases the hold and starts laughing as he's handed his International championship. Tommy rolls into the ring and straps the belt around Reid's waist, then raises his hand in victory as the crowd voices their displeasure loudly.
Aiello: What an absolute battle this was, folks! These two really took each other to task tonight, giving it everything they've got...but in the end, Xavier Reid retains in a spectacular Two Out of Three Falls encounter!
Bennett: Bosa just about had this match won at times Joe, there's no denying that he can hang! All he has to do now is keep his head up high, knowing he did at least get a pinfall over the champ in this match. He'd make his family proud with his performance tonight, ain't no doubt about it!
Aiello: Folks, we want to thank you for being with us on this amazing Pay-Per-View! In just a couple weeks, the red brand invades Paramount, and then we're back on the road in August! Until then I've been Joe Aiello alongside Steve Bennett, saying so long and goodnight!
The final shot is of Reid continuing to celebrate as medical staff check on Bosa, making sure he's alright as the show comes to a close.
