"START A FIGHT" by GHØSTKID blasts in the Arena

The show starts off with video footage detailing historic events over Monday Night BRAWL's history.
From episode 001 in 1997 all the way down to the last episode #578 in Los Angeles.
Images of previous EWC Champions are shown, starting with the very first Champion Black Ninja, then moving onto Big Mac and Steve Bennett. Sped up footage then shows a special montage of Memphis Reigns, Shadow Man, Hirsh Valentine, Jesse Nunez, Hurricane Jeff, Moses Lake, James Chambers, BDC, Jay Cee, Stray, Gladiator, The Rev, Ruthann Hunter, Ashton Drake and then Xplode all with the EWC Championship.
From there we look at the dawning of the Undisputed Championship as we know it today, from Xplode defeating Shadow Man to unify the belts to footage of the men and women of BRAWL who have held the illustrious title including Ashton Drake, Candy, Dominic Sanders, Cyrus Black, and Xavier Reid, before ending on the current champion Killjoy Ito.
Sped up footage again then takes us through to current Monday Night BRAWL Superstars: Xavier Reid, King Flip, Candy, Tyler Bradford, KU, Antoni Malietoa, Stitches, Rebel Rhodes, Darius, Iggy Swango, Dio, and others making their way onto the red brand.
We then get a shot of the Champions of BRAWL:
Rebel Rhodes with the FX Broadcast Championship
Xavier Reid with the EWC International Championship
The opening pyros blast across the stage and here we go.

We take a look around inside of the North Charleston Coliseum and see the electricity!

Aiello: Hello folks and welcome to Monday Night BRAWL! I'm Joe Aiello alongside Hall of Famer Steve Bennett, and boy howdy do we have a show in store tonight!
Bennett: Did you just say boy howdy? Good lord, man.
Aiello: Folks, we're on the road to StrangleMania XVII and we are really seeing some things taking shape tonight! After a hotly-contested bout at our season opener for the FX Broadcast Championship, Tyler Bradford demanded a rematch here tonight against Rebel Rhodes, and that is our main event!
Bennett: Gonna be hell for either competitor, after what we saw two weeks ago! We've also got one hell of a fight in store with plenty on the line, as Candy faces Iggy Swango for a crack at the International Championship at StrangleMania XVII!
Aiello: We saw a drastic change in the former Sweet Treat on Paramount, and it seems this new Sour Candy could cause plenty of trouble for Iggy! To top it all off, whoever wins tonight will be waiting to see who leaves Vancouver as champion in two weeks, as Gabrielle Visconty cashed in her MITB title shot then...but tonight, she takes on Stitches in what could be seen as a measure of revenge for the role he played in Candy's change of attitude!
Bennett: The signs have been there for months Joe, and Gabi could face a world of hurt before she gets her shot at Xavier Reid, who we see teaming up with Samantha Hamilton in triple threat tag action! It's gonna get chaotic when the Xtreme Ravagers, Halo Syndicate, and Eleos Affect square off!
Aiello: Very true Steve, and speaking of chaos we do have King Flip taking on Dio in X-Division action! Flip demanded a better challenge after the season opener, and Connors has seemingly given him a tough task ahead in the former Indy Champion! Before we get to all that, we have our opening contest as Nick James takes on Zack Tyler, and--

The cameras catch up backstage with the Queen Melody Malone, flanked by both her personal assistant Rachel and her right-hand man Rory Hyland. Malone is clearly not dressed to compete, but it doesn’t make much difference as the backstage hands all give her sidelong glances. The three of them stop short on their journey backstage, Malone smiling innocently off camera before speaking.
Melody Malone: Well well… imagine seeing you here.
Voice: Considering this is my show…
The camera pans back to reveal Jim Connors standing across from Malone and her entourage before he gives a wary glance to Rory.
Jim Connors: I don’t recall seeing you booked tonight. But I do know you’re scheduled to take on King Flip on Rampage. I think it goes without saying, I expect you to not lay a hand on him tonight.
Melody looks aghast, bringing her hand to her chest in mock surprise.
Melody Malone: Excuse me? I’m here to be a good sport, bring eyes to the red brand, and scout my opposition. And you come right out and insult me?
Jim Connors: I’m serious. Not a hand.
Melody Malone: Me… lay a hand on Flip tonight…
She chuckles, giving Rory’s arm a nudge before she brings a pair of sunglasses out of her bag and puts them over her face.
Melody Malone: Ohh Jimmy… You just don’t know me at all, do you?
Malone walks by, a smug grin on her face as Rachel follows closely behind. Rory gives Connors a stern look before walking past and giving the general manager a hearty pat on the back on his way by. Connors looks over his shoulder, shaking his head before he continues on towards his office as we fade to the advertisement for EWCTV...

The cameras quickly cut back to where the Halo Syndicate are getting ready for their tag team match. Nina is sitting on the ground stretching as Carrie is doing the same with her arms. As they are doing this, their friend Brittany Ann Baker has a camcorder of her own as she appears to be filming something.
Brittany Ann Baker: Are you guys ready for tonight?
Nina pops back up to her feet as Carrie nods her head.
Carrie Samson: This past week, we have heard nothing but bullshit from our opponents. You have two individuals pretending to be a fucking tag team and you have a tag team who wants nothing but competition. It's like we are the only tag team in this match who actually have a real reason for winning. It's kind of sad when you think about it. You have four individuals who would rather stick their heads into the sand then want to be the best damn team in this company.
Nina Samson: The fact all our opponents could focus one is our dismal record from last season. What part of last season don't you turds understand? We have only lost one match! One! Samantha and Xavier are going to get their heads bashed in while Antoni and KU sits back in catering just stuffing their mouths. This makes me just sick to my damn stomach. Here we are busting our asses, doing things the right way and you have two teams who wants everything just handed to them. Listen, we aren't going to make this an easy outing. If you ass clowns want to fight us then bring it on. We have no problems putting you down.
Brittany shudders at the mention of clowns as Carrie and Nina give her a hug. The trio finish their filming before getting ready for their match later tonight...but for now, we cut to ringside for the opening contest of the night!

WELCOME (BACK) TO BRAWL!
[SINGLES MATCH]
![]() | VS | ![]() |
Nick James | Zack Tyler |
We return to ringside where commentary is standing by.
Aiello: Folks, it's time to kick off the in-ring action here in Charleston with two returning BRAWL Superstars as Nick James takes on Zack Tyler!
Bennett: Opening Match Hype Comments
Stroup: The following match is scheduled for one fall! Joining us first, from TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA, weighing in at 240 pounds ... NICK JAAAAAMMMEEESSS!
The lights dim as "Get Up" by Skrillex begins to blast throughout the arena. Out from the back appears Nick James. He looks at the crowd as he begins to make his way down to the ring.
Stroup: And his opponent, from NASHVILLE TENNESSEE, weighing in at 175 pounds ... ZACK TTTTYYYYYLLLLEERRR!
The lights go dark as an image of Zack in seen backstage. By now on the entrance stage, fog machines are covering the platform. He stares into the camera with a deep soul stare before the camera fades. Just before the camera cuts off, a quick glimpse of a Red circle with a Red Left hand palm print is seen. Zack's [3:14] music then plays. At the [:17] mark, a Red flash of light illuminates the entrance stage and again at the [:20] mark. At the [:27] mark, Zack rolls out slowly on a skateboard dressed in a Black full length coat with his arms folded over his chest. As he approaches the ring, the skateboard rolls under the ring as he rolls under the bottom rope onto his stomach. The ringside camera catches an up-close image of Zack as he smiles and blood protrudes from his mouth down his chin. Slithering into the corner, he grabs the ropes and pulls himself up to his feet, removing his coat. His music by now has looped or replayed until he folds his hands together as if praying. His eyes roll in the back of his head and the lights come up to normal.
DING DING DING
The match opens with an exchange of strikes back and forth between the two wrestlers. A hard European Uppercut from Zack jacks Nick’s jaw, only for Nick to come back with a stiff haymaker which Zack ducks, slipping an arm under Nick’s, pulling up on his shoulder, flipping around and hitting an Enziguri kick to the back of Nick’s head! Both hit the canvas, but Zack gets to his feet first, immediately rushing for the ropes where he rebounds, and catches a slow rising Nick with a Lariat to the back of the head, dropping him to one knee! Zack goes for the ropes again, coming back with a running kick but Nick catches the foot, rising with a big grin. Zack hops in place and goes for the Enziguri counter but Nick ducks it, pulling Zack into a Wheelbarrow Facebuster! Zack hits the canvas and pops up clutching his jaw only for Nick to kick him square in the back of the head!
Aiello: Plenty of damage off the back of that kick by Nick James!
Bennett: Fairly evenly matched here in the early going but things can change on a dime, Joe!
Nick gathers Zack up by the back of his head, pulling him into a front facelock, hoisting him up only to eat a knee to the head, forcing him to drop Zack back down, who then reverses into a Russian Legsweep, followed by him running up the nearest corner and jumping off with THE FALL FROM GRACE! On impact, he hooks Nick’s legs!
ONE!!!
TWO!!!!
THR-KICKOUT!!!
With a kickout at two and a half, Zack gathers up Nick and sends him for a whip, but Nick reverses into a knee to the gut, followed by a forearm to the head, and PUMPHANDLE NECKBREAKER! Nick pounds his fists into his chest roaring, “I’M NICK JAMES, BITCH!!!!” He then hits the ropes and dives with a Somersault Legdrop and pin!!
ONE!!!
TWO!!!
THRE-KICKOUT!!!
Kickout
Aiello: Wow! So close there, but Zack Tyler just manages to kick out!
Bennett: Nick's gonna have to shift gears here, and quick!
Frustrated, the Nickster gathers up a handful of Zack’s shock blond hair, walking him over to a corner where he proceeds to batter his face into the turnbuckles over and over. WHUMP WHUMP WHUMP With the fans in the crowd counting each shot. Nick then pulls Zack back, throwing him up on his shoulders with a POP-UP POWERBOMB-NO! Zack reverses with a Hurricanarana pin!!!
ONE!!!
TWO!!!
TTTHHHHRRRRE-NO! KICKOUT!!!
Nick hurls Zack off of him with a pistoning of his legs. The two break up, Nick shaking his head from the Hurricanrana. Zack backs into the ropes and crouches, watching and waiting for Nick to get to his feet. Nick turns and Zack bolts full speed ahead and SUPERKICK TO THE FACE!!! Zack doesn’t go down but is left stumbling all over the place, even dropping to one knee more than once. He turns and walks into the arms of Nick James eating the dreaded POP UP POWERBOMB!!! Nick hooks both legs and folds Zack in half for the pin!
ONE!!!
TWO!!!
TTTTTHHHHRRRREEE!!!
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall NICK JAMES!!!!
Nick James beats his chest as his music plays, roaring out loud enough to be heard, “THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT! NICK JAMES, BITCH!!!!”
Aiello: Big win for Nick James here, after a close effort by Zack Tyler!
Bennett: These two showed they were ready to bring it, but Zack just came up short here.
Aiello: Folks, up next we have a wild triple threat tag match! You heard from Halo Syndicate earlier, it seems we'll be hearing from Eleos Affect as well as the Xtreme Ravagers before we head to ringside!
Nick continues to celebrate as we cut backstage...

Backstage, We cut to a close up of two muscled bodies. The camera quickly pans out to show The Samoan Warrior, Antoni Malietoa and The Black Tree of Sapparo, KU, along with Brawl announcer Bob Murray.
Murray: KU, Antoni, The Eleos Affect. Tonight, you two keep the train rolling as it were, and you take on The Halo Syndicate and The Xtreme Ravagers. I understand that you have asked for this time to address some comments made by both teams you are about to face tonight. Antoni?
Murray moves the microphone in Antoni’s direction as the warrior takes a deep breath before speaking.
Antoni: Samantha, Xavier…. You two have so much potential, so much promise. We have seen glimpses of it throughout your careers, but you get so caught up in the chase for gold that you can’t see the light. Your heads are so far up your own asses you can smell each other's farts. Talk about the most elitist crap you could ever say. We’re less than because we don't obsess over championships? To steal a phrase from Asriel Buzzard, glory is eternal Ravagers. That is what we are after. Glory does not mean you have to sacrifice doing the right thing just to get ahead.
Murray moves the microphone to KU who seems to ignore him.
Murray: KU?
KU looks up at him.
KU: Oh sorry, I just had my mind on my girlfriend so Toni wasn’t the only one apparently not taking this match seriously… Because of her training in the ring, in a gym, 50 feet away from Toni and me, that meant he was more worried about her than the win or something like that. I don’t really know.
Antoni: It’s almost like Sam has never traveled with her significant others before?
Antoni and KU looks at each other for a moment before they share a laugh.
Antoni: The fact of the matter is this: KU and I have been able to find the peace in life. We have great jobs, great personal lives, and we are living the dream. That is enough for us. We are not blinded by the chase that so many others in this industry are drug down by. We will make our impact and cement our legacy our way, and the two of you do it your way. The disrespect that all four of them showed to us, however, will be dealt with in the ring tonight.
Murray: All four?
KU: Do you not watch promotional material Murray? Halo said Eleos Affect what, once? My name once? Toni’s name… once? They view us that low we don’t even deserve more than a passing mention? I have to applaud them for their ego I guess, a team that was so poor it had to get new members and a new name looking down on the team who just beat Southern Express while they couldn't even win the chance to lose to Express.
Antoni: Halo Syndicate, for all of their efforts, tried to downplay the only ones in this match to put an L on the World Tag Team champions and it was a risky play, but payment for that check that your mouth wrote will come due tonight when KU and I dismantle you both, along with Reid and Hamilton. The International Champion, the United States Champion, and Vlogger and a prankster…. If they were walking into a bar, it would make for a terrible joke, but tonight they walk into a Warrior and a tree…I promise you it will be painful.
KU: And not just painful in terms of physical, but mental pain as well. The blow to Ravager’s ego as they lose yet again after all they talked and talked and talked. I look forward to the day we get a 2v2 with you guys, the day we get to shut your mouths personally. But for now, you will get as much attention as Halo, so try not to get jealous.
Antoni: Or maybe you’re too focussed on our “women” to worry about us?
The camera fades to commercial on the stoic facial expressions of Eleos Affect.

The camera cuts backstage outside The Love Club locker rooms where Bob Murray reaches out to knock but before he can do so the door swings up and Bob is face to face with ‘The Memphis Mouthpiece’ Tommy Love, who smiles and looks at his watch.
Love: Cutting it kind of close Bobby…
Bob looks at his watch and shakes his head.
Murray: I’m right on time Tommy…
Love: Well Bobby, my father always said if you’re ‘on time’ then you’re late…but I guess we raised a little differently…
Murray: Thank God about that Tommy but this isn’t about you and me, tonight Xavier and Samantha return to the ring together as The Xtreme Ravagers take on The Halo Syndicate and Brawl’s very own The Eleos Affect…
But before Bob can finish that sentence the door opens wider and Xavier Reid and Samantha Hamilton fill in behind Tommy.
Reid: Funny…and here I thought the contract I just signed last week made The Xtreme Ravagers a Brawl exclusive tag team…guess that was just a figment of my imagination Bob…
Bob holds up his hand, looking to backtrack a bit but Xavier continues.
Reid: I get it, Antoni and KU just beat the EWC Tag Team Champions of the World, The Southern Express at Brawl #578 and everyone in a Red Brawl Polo are all hard in their pants about it but what did that really do for our brand? You heard them, they have NO INTEREST in those tag team titles, it was a worthless win for Brawl…but you know who does have an interest in those titles…
Xavier points to him and Samantha.
Reid: They have no ambition as a tag team, they just want to go out there and stand in the way of teams looking to elevate their standing in the tag team division…they are in our way Bob…standing there like a big stupid looking rockblock…
Hamilton: Sure, Ku’s “Wheel Of Fortune” skills were impressive, but that’s not what we’re here to do. We’re here to fight. And the fact his focus was on that then Antoni’s on his woman was honestly a bit insulting. That, to me, spells they aren’t taking us or Halo Syndicate seriously, and that is indeed the type of arrogance that can cost people a match. Reid isn’t the only one guilty of being there, doing that. I have too, and I’ll woman up to it.
Love: They were taking a victory lap about all Love Club members they have beaten and it’s true…they have had our number but that ends here tonight…
Xavier smirks and nods.
Reid: While they've been watching Wheel Of Fortune and showing off their woman, we’ve actively been training, preparing for our return to tag team wrestling…getting to know everything about the TWO teams we are facing…”
Hamilton: By the way, ladies and gents. Me and Reid have been in other Triple Threat Tag Team matches. But neither of you noticed … that doesn’t bode well for either of you, really. That’d be as reckless as me and Reid failing to miss any detail with either team, but particularly the ones who couldn’t count for shit, Halo Syndicate.
Sam shakes her head, chuckling at the memory.
Hamilton: Just … wow. That really threw me through several loops to hear you thought we were only in three matches. And people have tried to say I’m the blonde bimbo here? Ya’ll make me look like freaking Einstein here, good riddance!
Reid: Or hoping that Samantha and my attention is drawn away from this match and our focus is on Tommy Burton and Gabi Visconty…hate to be the bearer of bad news but we locked in on the opportunity that’s right here in front of us tonight…we understand that this match could springboard us right back to the top of the tag team contenders and right in line to face the winner of The Southern Express/Sabotage winner…
Love: Tonight The Xtreme Ravagers return to Brawl and get back to their winning ways and take the first step towards EWC Tag Team Championship gold…
Tommy taps Bob on the head and the trio walks past Bob Murray and towards the ring.

THREE TIMES THE TAG TEAMS, THREE TIMES THE MAYHEM!
[TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM MATCH]
![]() | VS | ![]() | VS | ![]() |
Halo Syndicate | Eleos Affect | Xtreme Ravagers |
We return to ringside where commentary is standing by!
Aiello: Here we go folks, triple threat tag action as the Halo Syndicate, Eleos Affect, and Xtreme Ravagers face off!
Bennett: We're gonna see how this developing friendship between KU and Antoni Malietoa stacks up against two pairs of former #1 Contenders to the tag titles!
Stroup: The following match is a triple threat tag team match, scheduled for one fall! Joining us first, from PLACE, at a combined weight of 247 pounds, the team of Nina and Carrie Samson... THE HALO SYNDICATE!
The opening beats of "Want to Want Me" by Jason Derulo starts playing over the sound system as a blonde woman steps through the curtain holding a go pro camera in her hand. She moves it around before turning to show Carrie and Nina walking out right behind her. The crowd is going nuts as Carrie and Nina are waving their hands at the crowd. The start sprinting down the ramp as the blonde woman just follows them down the ramp. Carrie and Nina are posing on the turnbuckles.
Stroup: And their opponents, at a combined weight of 484 pounds… The Black Tree of Sapporo and The Samoan Warrior ... THE ELEOS AFFECT!
“Warrior” by Atreyu begins to blare through out the North Charleston Coliseum as Antoni Malietoa walks out first, head down as he gets prepared for the battle about to commence. KU walks out next and stops next to his partner, his arms folded over his chest. Small streaks of pyro go off as Antoni raises his head and lets out a battle cry to get himself and the crowd pumped! The pair then begin the walk down the aisle as the music continues. Once they make it to ringside, Antoni grabs the top rope and pulls himself to the apron as KU methodically takes the stairs. Antoni steps over the top rope as KU enters through the middle and top ropes. The pair stand side by side as Antoni lets out another battle cry, knowing that war is about to commence.
Stroup: And their opponents, at a combined weight of 365 pounds, the team of EWC International Champion Xavier Reid and EWC United States Champion ... THE XTREME RAVAGERS!
As Heavenly’s ‘Bravery In The Field’ plays over the PA system, we see the figures of Samantha “The Titaness” Hamilton and Joseph “Orion” Hunter standing next to each other. Not too far away, “The Memphis Mouthpiece” Tommy Love is beside Xavier Reid.
Each manager walks alongside their respective clients.
When everyone arrives at the ring, Tommy and Joseph pull the ropes open, allowing Sam and Xavier to step inside. The two wrestlers stand in the center and form an X with their arms. They stay in the center for a few moments before going to a corner, awaiting their opponent(s).
DING DING DING
We kick things off with Nina going after Samantha and KU simultaneously, trying to get an advantage at the start of this match...but to no avail as KU sends her out of the ring with a dropkick before turning his attention to the Titaness! The two trade strikes, with KU starting to get the upper hand as he goes for one last kick to the head...but Hamilton dodges it! She responds with a drop toe hold that sends KU to the canvas before tagging in Reid...who gets intercepted by Carrie running into the ring! The ref is quick to try to stop things since Carrie is not the legal woman, which gives KU time to get back to his feet and tag in Antoni!
The Warrior gets right to it, going after Reid as Carrie returns to the apron to avoid further trouble with the ref. Antoni sends the International Champion to the ropes, looking for a big clothesline on the rebound...but is met with one by the champ as well, and both men are down! Hamilton reaches over, looking to tag in when suddenly Nina comes back in, sending the Titaness off the apron with a dropkick before quickly covering Reid in the hopes of taking a win here!
ONE!
TWO!
NO! Reid kicks out, with authority!
Aiello: Xavier was definitely NOT ready to give up here!
Bennett: A champ is never ready to give up so easily, Joe!
Nina is quick to her feet, tagging in Carrie who looks to get one over on Antoni...but the big man is back to his feet, and sends her down hard with a scoop slam! Antoni turns his attention to Reid, who tags in Hamilton! It's a curious reunion between former War Mongers as the pair go at each other with some hard strikes, with the Titaness looking to be a slight disadvantage...until she catches the Warrior with an enziguri! Antoni is rocked by this, reeling back as Carrie takes advantage with a roll up!
ONE!
TW--NOPE! Hamilton breaks it up with a kick to the back of Carrie's head, not letting Samson get a win that easily. She brings Carrie to her feet, looking for Zeus's Wrath...but Carrie counters out of it, sending Samson to the corner with a kick to the face! Carrie charges at full speed, but the Titaness is able to dodge it at the last second, and catches her with the sleeper hold from behind! EXILED TO TARTARUS!
Aiello: Oh, Samantha's got that locked in tight! Carrie is fading fast!
Bennett: Do it, Sam! You go get that big win!
Carrie looks like she could be out...but Antoni breaks up the hold with a boot connecting flush with the head of the Titaness! Antoni brings the United States Champion to her feet, looking for the Resurrection...but Carrie stops it, knocking him into Samantha in the process!
The momentum causes the Titaness to tumble out of the ring, but before Reid can get involved he gets taken to the floor with a big kick by KU! Back in the ring, the Syndicate look to double team the Warrior with some great offense...but Antoni eventually manages to fight them off, sending Nina out of the ring before hitting Carrie with the Resurrection! Antoni with the cover, as everyone else is seemingly out of commission!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall ...THE ELEOS AFFECT!
The ref raises Antoni's arm in victory as we see KU making it back to his feet, sliding in to share in the moment. At ringside we see the Ravagers coming to, looking none too pleased at the outcome as we go to commentary.
Aiello: What a match this was, folks! About as chaotic as you'd expect, with the Ravagers and the Syndicate really showing what they're made of!
Bennett: True, but at the end of the day it comes down to KU and Malietoa putting a wrench in the tag division with a big win here!
Aiello: I suspect this won't be the last we see between these three teams, especially when the Ravagers and Syndicate have a lot to go after in the coming weeks. Folks, up next we have King Flip taking on Dio in X-Division action, don't go aw--
Joe is cut off by the sound of familiar music ...

With that wild triple threat tag match done, the crowd was wondering what was about to happen when “Centuries” came blasting over the speakers as the crowd was on their feet. As the smoke cleared around standing on the top of the stage was Tara Michaels. The crowd starts booing like crazy as she bursts out into laughter. Tara Michaels acted like she was hurt but had this big smile on her face. Tara waves out to the crowd climbing inside of the ring. She takes in the boos like crazy while she just grins with pleasure bringing the microphone to her lips.
Tara Michaels: I knew once I came out with Ruthann’s theme song I would get this response and like little trolls, you did just that.
Tara Michaels laughed more as the crowd boo her more as she just couldn’t help herself.
Tara Michaels: The reason why I am here is because I am here to show you Tommy Love. There is someone else these fans hate more than you. That is me. Tara Michaels the wicked witch to some people but to others the mastermind woman who helped to place Jaden Hunter on the mat after he left the role of General Manager for this brand. Jim Connor will wish he could live up to the standards that Jaden has for this brand. Look at it now.. it's sad.. It lost to Paramount for the last two years.
She smirks as the crowd just kept booing her to place a smile on her face.
Tara Michael: Now as to why I am here. Tommy Love you want to walk down to Gambit to try to talk down about me but not only me but the one and only Ruthann Hunter.
Ruthann Hunter chant started as she nodded a bit looking down at her watch.
Tara Michael: As I was saying while I was rudely interfering here. I know I don’t need to stand here and explain to you who I am because the rating in the past shows what I can do. It is just sad that Xavier Reid made the choice to have you on his side because if he actually thinks he would ever be better than Ace King in accolpments he can think again. He can try and try his hardest but having you on his side. It will not happen. I am the woman that brought ones from other companies to EWC to face the greatest champion in the world. I am the woman that brought back Ruthann “Ruthless Aggression” Hunter back to show why there is no one better than her. You have to realize something she actually was thinking of signing with the Love Family... but I told her for business reasons.. To her name link...to trash like you.. it wouldn’t be a good idea...
Tara grins big as the crowd is booing like crazy when ‘Tom Sawyer’ plays out. The old school fans inside the North Charleston Coliseum know that this is the music on the one and only…Tommy Love!!! ‘The Memphis Mouthpiece’ is greeted by cheers, something that even shocks Love. He pauses and looks around to make sure those in attendance know it’s him and when they continue to cheer he smiles as he looks down at the ring and Tara Michael
Tommy Love: Jesus, how big of a bitch are you that these fans are cheering the man The Post and Courier once called, ‘Satin in a polyester jacket’?
Tommy smirks as the fans cheer for the plug of their local newspaper
Tommy Love: Or maybe it’s just they are happy to hear another voice out here…one that doesn’t make their skin crawl…as much because I know these cheers for me are more because they hate your bitch ass more than they love me.
Tommy nods as the crowd claps
Tommy Love: Now for starters I didn’t ‘walk down to Gambit’ I stood there backstage…driven there by a stretch limousine because that’s how damn important I am and as for talking down to you and Ruthann Hunter well…you two wanted my attention and well…YOU GOT IT!!! What did you think I was going to do, stand there with my tail between my legs and say, ‘well golly gee whiz Miss, I’m awfully sorry you feel this way, I’ll tell you what, I’ll do my best to make sure I address all your concerns’...
Tommy pumps his arm in a ‘I got this manner’ because rolling his eyes
Tommy Love: Are you new to this business…do you know who the fuck you are dealing with? I apologize to no man, woman or judge for what comes out of my mouth…
Before he could say anything else, Tara Michael cut him off with a smirk bringing her microphone to her face.
Tara Michaels: No my name is Tara Michaels I don’t bow down to anyone that includes someone like you. I am someone who doesn't grab a poor backstage person and spread venom oh no. I am the one who walks right up to the person and tells them who they are right to their face! I am the same woman who walked down that ramp step inside of this ring and got right into the face of Jaden Hunter. I will do that to any man or woman or child. I don’t fear no one! That includes someone like you. I don’t need anything from these fans like you do.
Tara looked around at the crowd as they boo her like crazy.
Tara Michaels: I don’t need their praise. I don’t need their cheers to feel like I am worthy to be having a light shine on me. Xavier Reid is one of the greatest champions this company has with his name tied to one of the best in the world.
Tommy Love: Yeah…Ashton Drake!!!
The fans ‘aww’ at this rebuttal as Tommy smirks
Tommy Love: But you’re right, you don’t ‘bow down to anyone’...nope you clearly drop down to your knees to get such valuable airtime here in Brawl…
Tommy starts to walk down towards the ring as he points his ‘Love Stick’ at Tara
Tommy Love: You aren’t someone that ‘grabs a poor backstage person and spreads venom’ nope, you run to Patricia Wolfe and have it aired in the Wolfe Pack. You come out here and run down Xavier Reid…Xavier Reid the International Champion, talking about how he can’t live up to Ace King…let me ask you Tara, did you ‘walk up to Xavier’s face’ and say that to him…no, even though he’s in the back right now, you came out here and did the very thing you are accusing me of doing…that’s rich!
Tommy rolls his eyes as he reaches ringside.
Tommy Love: You are under the impression that ANYONE can just join up with The Love Club but like the finest clubs it’s invite only…and I don’t remember filling out a card for Ruthann…and seeing it’s been…how long since she’s been in the ring…
Tommy scratches his chin and starts counting on his finger
Tommy Love: Well hell let’s just say it’s been awhile so why on Earth would we offer her a spot? Add to the fact that she’s running around with Gabi and the 3C kids…who by the way have their own issues right now…this ‘would of/ could of’ bullshit is pointless…much like this conversation between you and me, so I reiterate my past comments…YOU have no grounds to do jack shit when it comes to me, my family or the way we handle our business…
Tommy marches up the steps and stands on the apron as Tara smirks and cuts him off looking at him right into the eyes as she speaks.
Tara Michael: You know Tommy Love I have heard it all before and a man like you would of course go down the road. It is in your DNA to try to break down women to make them feel powerless. You just hate the fact there are a few women out here instead of wanting to play with your love stick but rather show to everyone how small you truly are.
Tara Michael smirks with a soft smile as she dust off his suit jacket.
Tara Michaels: Since you want to bring up the fact I didn’t say all of these things to Reid's face... would you have said those same things you mention in your little speech on Gambit to Ruthann’s face?
Tommy steps into the ring
Tommy Love: I’m not the one going on and on about how ‘tough I am’ and how I ‘say things to people’s faces’ you dumb twit…you threaten a lawsuit on my and my family and then get pissed when I put your sorry ass in its place…you want to paint me as a ‘chauvinist’ do your best sweetheart because the truth is I don’t hate or feel like women are beneath me…just stupid ones like you!!! You don’t like the way I talk about Ruthann, well tough shit!!! You speak on her behalf, YOU brought her into this because what…you want to ‘protect’ the Hunter name…hell Jason dropped the Hunter name so why don’t we be honest here…this isn’t about protecting the Hunter name it’s about making it relevant around here again…nobody is talking about The Hunter’s because they are talking about The Love’s…we are the new FIRST FAMILY of the EWC and THAT pisses you off…
Tommy and Tara come face to face as Burn it all down Remix – PVRIS (Denzel Curry Remix) came over the speakers Tara Michaels looking up at the ramp as the smoke started to form around the X tron and Tommy takes a step back as the crowd started to sing along with the song. Tara moves her head to the side as you notice two figures with dragon masks came out among the smoke. Tara glares over at them as they look around at the crowd both wearing leather black jackets as a picture of Jaden appears that when the crowd start going crazy
They both remove their face masks as they look down at the ramp Tara Michaels swallows a bit hard. Jason started to play to the crowd with the music as Ruthann didn’t look too happy as Tara Michaels pushed Tommy in front of her while Ruthann was walking down the ramp with Jason just playing with the crowd. Ruthann looked right at them both inside staring a hole into them while Jason came down standing side by side with his mother. They both looked around as the crowd was cheering for them as they climbed the steps together. Jason held the ropes for his mother while she climbed inside of the ring taking a deep breath. Tara steps back while Jason looks over at Tommy playing with a microphone in one hand as the other one was inside of his jeans pockets
Jason Hunter: Do you truly think Tara Michaels is the voice of wisdom for my mother?
Tommy tries to defend his case as Jason places his arm around his neck as he nods.
Jason Hunter: Since you and Bunny don’t need my money or my protection anymore. You have Reid who brings in all this money. There is only one thing I need to do...BUNNY and YOU are FIRED!
Jason places the microphone right into his chest with a bit of a smirk while Tara Michaels laughs, bringing the microphone to her lips. Ruthann walked over to her and gently took the microphone from her too.
Ruthann Hunter: I told you I didn’t have time for this... and you of course did what you believe is right. So again live on Brawl....YOU FIRED!
Tara Michaels face drops as now Tommy Love is laughing like crazy as Burn it all down Remix – PVRIS (Denzel Curry Remix) came blasting over the speaker while Ruthann and Jason walked up the ramp with a look of disbelief on both Tommy and Tara's face.
We move to a commercial break.

LET'S...GET...DANGEROUS!
[SINGLES MATCH, X-DIVISION RULES]
![]() | VS | ![]() |
King Flip | Dio |
We return to ringside where Jessica Stroup stands ready to announce the next bout.
Aiello: Well folks, if you thought the last match was crazy, we're in for X-Division action as King Flip takes on Dio!
Bennett: A clash of former champions here, and you know it's gonna get brutal!
Stroup: The following match is an X-Division match scheduled for one fall! Joining us first, from Seattle, Washington, weighing in at 205 pounds ... DIIIOOO!
The lights dim down, and a voice comes over the PA system.
”I am your Crux.”
The phrase kicks off the sounds of “Change (in the house of flies)” by the Deftones as Dio emerges from the curtain and stands atop the stage. He surveys the crowd, tugging at the collar of his leather jacket before heading down toward the ring.
Stroup: And his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by his manager, Chanel, from the land of money and fame, weighing in at 220 pounds ... KIIING FLIP!
K I N G F L I P zooms from right to left across the X-Tron and is followed swiftly by a small pyro. 'Machinegun' begins to play as the man in the hooded vest, head low, emerges from the curtain with his . He gets to the edge of the rampway when he lifts his hood to reveal that arrogant half smile. The lyrics chime in as he walks slowly down the ramp with his eyes locked in on the ring. He slides into the ring and leans against the turnbuckle with arms agape as his theme plays. He turns to his opponent ready for the action to start as his theme fades.
DING DING DING
Both competitors circle the ring. They're about to grapple when “You Should See Me In A Crown” by Billie Eilish blasts through the PA system. Dio turns to the curtain, confused, and Flip takes advantage of the moment. He pelts Dio with forearms and kicks right into one of the corners. Dio claps back with a few forearms of his own bringing them away from the turnbuckle. Dio goes for the whip, Flip reverses, then rolls forward with a schoolboy pinning maneuver out of nowhere.
1 . .
2 . .
Dio kicks out with tenacity as Melody Malone emerges through the curtain in a magnificent red dress. The King quickly rolls out of the ring and parleys with his manager for a moment. The Queen slowly walks down the ramp and around the other side of the ring from Flip and Chanel. Before the Ol' CHK can confront the Queen, Dio slides out of the ring and begins an assault on his opponent. The Philosopher slams Flip's head against the guardrail, then the ring apron, then whips him into the steel steps. Malone smiles as she approaches the announce table. Dio lays down the boots into Flip as she takes a seat.
Aiello: Well Melody, we appreciate you coming out here as we see Dio and Flip really go to war in the early going.
Bennett: Joe, will you not acknowledge her as the Queen she is? Even if she IS visiting from Rampage...
Malone: Calm down, boys. I'm just out here to watch Flip and Dio hamburger their faces.
Dio lifts his opponent up and Flip shoves him into the guardrail. The King limps to the other side of the steps and flings the ring apron up. He pulls a trash can from underneath the ring as Dio makes chase toward him. BONG! The Philosopher takes a trash can shot to the head and stumbles to one knee. Flip drops the trash can and grabs his opponent by the back of the head. It looks like he's going to bash him into the ring apron, then he turns and arm drags Dio over the announce table into Melody Malone. The crowd goes wild.
King Flip: Welcome to the red brand, Malone!
Flip quickly picks his opponent up and lifts him into the air for a torture rack. Dio screams out in pain as Flip glares at Malone on the ground. The King stumbles as he bumps into the trash can and the Philosopher gets back to his feet. Dio wastes no time getting his opponent into a torture rack of his own. Now it's Flip agonizing as Dio cranks in the submission hold. Chanel quietly gets behind the two men and drops to her hands and knees just behind Dio as he turns and perfects his maneuver. The Philosopher backs right into the trap and both men crash into the trash can, flattening it.
Aiello: Good lord, that's gotta hurt!
Bennett: You can say that again, Joe! I told you this was gonna get ugly!
Both competitors eventually pull themselves to their feet and back into the ring. Flip rushes at Dio but ends up on the painful end of a swinging neckbreaker. Again, they both get up and the King connects with a reverse headscissor sunset flip into yet another pinning attempt.
1 . .
2 . .
Dio once again kicks out with authority, grabbing both legs of his opponent and pulling them into a pin.
1 . .
2 . .
Flip kicks out but is unable to get out of the next grapple. Dio swiftly maneuvers his opponent into a triangle choke! Meanwhile, Melody Malone has long since gotten up and found herself behind Chanel with her trademark gold-plated steel chair. CRACK! Flip flails about as he watches his manager eat a chair shot from behind but is unable to break the hold. Instead of brute force, Flip turns to cheating and rakes the eyes of Dio several times over until the hold is broken. The King is coughing as he rolls out of the ring. Dio holds his eyes as he rolls in pain out of the ring as well. It seems that, though hurting, Flip is still bee-lining straight toward Melody Malone as best he can before she can crack his manager again. Instead, she turns toward him and rears the chair back. But no! Dio grabs the chair and yanks it from her grasp. The Philosopher tosses the chair aside and rolls into the ring. Flip and Malone exchange some words before he rolls into the ring, right into a Laertius Effect! Cover!

Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall... DIO!
We see Melody glaring from the commentary booth before heading to the back as we cut to Joe and Steve.
Aiello: What a battle this was, folks! Flip really took it to Dio here, but the former Indy Champion managed to get just a little more extreme tonight!
Bennett: You gotta wonder how this impacts Flip as he gets ready to take on Melody on Friday, though!
Aiello: Folks, up next we have Stitches taking on Gabrielle Visconty, who I'm told is backstage at this time!
Camera cuts to ...

The Xtron lights up to show the Rayders walking toward their dressing room. They are talking to each other as a EWC Staff member walks out in front of Candy, oblivious to them as he stares at a clipboard. Candy slaps the clipboard out of his hands and shoves him out of the way, sending him crashing into some trash cans. Robbie bursts out laughing as Candy glares at the Staffer as they walk on. About that time Gabrielle Visconty walks around the end of the hall behind them.
Visconty: Hey!
Gabi shouts down the hall and quickens her pace towards them. Both the Rayders look down the hall at her and then move to their dressing room door. Gabi breaks into a run as she sees they are moving toward the dressing room, hurdling the Staffer getting out of the trash cans.
Visconty: Stop! Guys, what is going on?!
Robbie opens their dressing room door and Candy passes inside before Robbie follows, glancing casually at Gabi and shutting the door behind him. Gabi slides to a stop a second after the door closes and tries to open it - it’s locked.
Visconty: Why are you doing this?
Gabi leans her forehead against the door as she questions them. She slams the palm of her hand against it before stepping back.
Visconty: Dammit! You guys can talk to me... I don’t know what Jordan did to merit the attack but you could have let me know what was going on.
She stands there a moment and waits for some kind of response from them. The sound of laughter from inside the Rayder’s dressing room is the only thing she hears. Gabi shakes her head as she stands motionless, staring at the door.
Visconty: This isn’t like you guys. Don’t do this! Don’t do this… to me…
She stares at the door for a few moments before turning and walking away, wiping at the tears starting to well in her eyes as we cut to commercial.

A CHANCE FOR REVENGE AND MOMENTUM!
[SINGLES MATCH]

Stitches | Gabrielle Visconty |
We return to ringside where commentary is standing by.
Aiello: It's been a wild night so far folks, but it's only getting crazier from here as we see Stitches taking on Gabrielle Visconty!
Bennett: Gabi's cashed in her shot at the International Champion when BRAWL heads to Vancouver, but may be biting off more than she can chew going up against the man she thinks is responsible for Candy's change in demeanor!
Stroup: The following match is a singles match! Joining us first, from NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA and weighing in at 260 pounds ... STTTTIIIIITTTTCCCHHHES!!!!
'One Missed Call (2008) Theme' plays as the lights go dark. As the beat in the music drops Stitches appears from behind the curtain. Stitches methodically makes his way down the entrance ramp with no care for the audience. Stitches approaches the nearby steel stairs, climbs up onto the apron and begins walking the edge of the apron like a tight rope before reaching the nearby ring post. Stitches climbs up onto the second rope and throws his arms out wide. Stitches enters the ring and sits down in the corner of the ring, waiting for the bell to ring.
Stroup: And his opponent, from INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA AND weighing in at 126 pounds ... GABRIELLE VVVVVIIIISCCCOOOOONNNTTTYYYYY!!!
The lights in the arena dim and slowly pulse to the opening chords of "I Am The Fire" by Halestorm. Gabi Vee walks out to the entrance ramp and smiles out at the crowd as she stops at the top of the ramp. She grins as she looks over the crowd before heading down the ramp and towards the ring. Gabi interacts with the fans before she hops up on the side of the ring, smirking out to the crowd before she springboards herself gracefully into the ring. She paces the ring and works the crowd a bit before she heads to her corner.
DING DING DING
We begin with Gabby rushing at Stitches, not giving him a moment to play any head games as she cracks him with Springboard Superwoman Punch, staggering him long enough for her to armdrag him over her shoulder to the canvas into a kneeling armbar. He bends back, kicking her square in the forehead with his shin, snapping her head back and forcing her to release the hold. Stitches rolls to his feet and promptly goes after his smaller foe while she’s stunned and proceeds to brutally kick her down and stomp her flat on the canvas over and over. He then grabs her arm and rolls her onto her back, kneeling on her chest while taking her hand and painfully bending her fingers back, working the joints. The way he held her arm kept one of her shoulders up the entire time, showing his dedication to her pain.
Aiello: Stitches really putting the pressure on Gabi here!
Bennett: He's ready to inflict as much pain as necessary to prove his point, Joe! He's an artist, and you should respect his artistry!
She shifts and bends underneath him, refusing to give up and decides to bite him as hard as she can on the leg. He withstands it for the longest time until finally releasing the hold to backhand her! Stitches then grabs her up by a handful of hair, telling her all the horrific things he’s about to do to her when suddenly she grabs his head and hits a Sitout Jawbreaker! His head snaps back and he staggers back, cupping his jaw. She back rolls to her feet and bullrushes him once more, only for Stitches to surprise her with a BEAUTIFUL DISASTERPIECE! She spins off her feet and straight to the mat where Stitches makes the pin!
ONE!!!!
TWO!!!
TTTHHHRRRE-KICKOUT!!!
She throws her shoulder up just barely. Stitches claps his hands laughing, then gathers her by two handfuls of hair, lifts her up and bodily hurls her into a corner. He runs forth with an avalanche but suddenly Gabby pushes herself onto the top ropes and flips over him, pulling him into a sunset flip pin!
ONE!!!
TWO!!
THR-KICKOUT!
Stitches kicks out, rolling to his feet. He goes for a low kick but Gabby bends completely backwards on her knees, avoiding the kick, then popping up onto her feet with a flex of her legs. She then vaults to the top rope as he turns back to face her, leaping off with THE ANGELBOMB! His head jerks back off her knees and he flat backs onto the canvas! Gabby hits a springboard moonsault pin shortly after!
ONE!!!
TWO!!!
TH-KICKOUT!!!
Stitches throws her off, sitting up and getting right to his feet, but Gabby keeps in motion. As he gets to his feet, she springboards with a crossbody but he catches her in his arms and spins her into a CRIMSON ARROW!!! Immediately he hooks her legs for the pin!
ONE!!!!
TWO!!!
TTTTHHHHHRRRE-KICKOUT!!!
Stitches sits there beside her, chuckling and shaking his head. He knows his foe well and yet it never ceases to amaze him just how much punishment she can take.
Aiello: Stitches seems to be enjoying this a bit, don't ya think Steve?
Bennett: He knows what he's doing, I promise you!
Signaling for the Sound of Silence, gathering her up and just as he starts applying the double underhook, she slips free and hits a spinning sitout Jawbreaker, once again staggering Stitches. She runs up to the nearest turnpost, vaults to the top and leaps off just as he turns around, hitting THE ANGELRANA and hooking his legs on impact!!
ONE!!!
TWO!!!

DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall GABRIELLE VVVVVIIISSSCCCCOOONNNNTTTYYYY!
Stitches rolls out of the ring clutching his head while Gabrielle’s music plays loud and proud. She runs around the ring, pumping her fist in victory!
Aiello: Oh my, Gabi with a big win tonight over Stitches after a very close encounter, indeed!
Bennett: Good lord, what a match! Stitches is gonna have to regroup after that one, he is NOT pleased how things turned out!
Aiello: Folks, up next we have a match with major implications for StrangleMania XVII as Iggy Swango takes on the newly-Sour Candy, with the winner getting a shot at the International Championship at our first Pay-Per-View event of the year!
As Gabi continues to celebrate, we turn our attention to the X-Tron for a quick message from someone making their EWC return ...

COMING SOON...
With that, we move to a commercial break.

A NEW CONTENDER WILL BE CROWNED!
SINGLES MATCH, WINNER EARNS INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH AT STRANGLEMANIA XVIII
![]() | VS | ![]() |
Iggy Swango | Sour Candy |
We return to ringside where Josh Daniels is standing in the ring while waiting for the combatants.
Aiello: What a score this is for Brawl? Candy has flipped some kind of script after that Wondercrush match. Swango is riding a high after beating Dio.
Bennett: Look I don't care all about this mambi pambi shit. I want to see these girls rip each other's heads off. It's time to see if this change of attitude will be enough for Candy to get the job done.
Stroup: The following match is a Singles Match with the Winner Earning an International Championship Match at STRANGLEMANIA XVII, Joining us first, from San Francisco, California, weighing in at 145 pounds ... IGGY SWANGO
The guitar strums of "Moonage Daydream" echo through the arena as the lights dim low. Strobe lights begin to flash on stage. Soon, Iggy Swango walks from behind the curtain as smog engulfs her. She pauses, adjusts her sun glasses, before making her way down the ramp
Its a slow deliberate walk, as she is clearly vibing to the music. After entering the ring, She looks up to the ceiling, and throws her hands up in a classic rock and roll pose
Iggy starts bouncing on the stage and rocking out with an air bass playing along with the music before making her way down the ramp. Iggy rolls under the bottom rope and pops up on her knees in the middle of the ring. She slowly stands her to her feet before raising her hands into the air once more.
Stroup: And her opponent, from The Sour Patch, weighing in at 106 pounds ... SOUR CANDY
Moments after "I Want Candy" by Aaron Carter begins to play throughout the North Charleston Coliseum, it suddenly switches into a more metal version of the song done by Risen From Shadows. Despite the boos coming from the crowd, Sour Candy seems unfazed as she walks out with a huge grin. She gives them a sarcastic wave as walks down the aisle.
As soon as a fan reaches out to touch her, SC jerks her arm out of the way and circles the ring before slipping under the bottom ropes. She stays on her knees and looks toward her opponent with the deadliest of stares as she waits for the match to begin.
DING DING DING
Josh barely has time to signal for the bell as Candy sprints out of her corner and nails Swango with a vicious dropkick. The force of the kick sends Swango back first into the turnbuckle. Candy quickly gets back up to her feet as she starts stomping away at Swango. Candy mixes in a few rights and a knife edge chop as Josh is trying to back her up. Josh starts to count as Candy stops at the count of four. She eyes Josh while backing off slightly. As Josh is checking on Swango, Candy bounces off the ropes and lands a vicious boot to the side of Swango's face. Candy mocks Swango while placing her head in her hands.
Candy twirls Swango's arm before looking to shoot her off towards the opposite side of the ring. Swango manages to change the direction at the last second before picking Candy up in a sidewalk slam position before slamming her right down across her bent knee. Candy bows her back as Swango places her fingers underneath Candy's chin while pressing down on both sides of her body. Swango releases the pressure while picking Candy back up before dropping her with a sidewalk slam.
Aiello: Wow, Iggy really taking it to Candy here in the early going!
Bennett: She'd better be careful, because someone this sour is NOT gonna take this sitting down!
Swango quickly rises to her feet and grabs a handful of Candy's hair. Swango drags Candy towards the corner but Candy starts to fight back. She lands a few hard blows to the body but Swango cuts her off with a hard knee to Candy's torso. While keeping Candy in her possession, Swango slams her face first into the top turnbuckle before picking her up by the legs and driving her back first into the canvas. Candy squirms a little as Swango draps Candy's body across the bottom rope. Swango quickly rolls out of the ring and measures Candy before striking with a knee lift. Candy's torso bounces up as Swango grabs her around the neck and snaps it back against the ropes.
Candy rolls on the canvas while grasping at her neck. Swango slides back into the ring and quickly snatches Candy up to her feet. Swango picks Candy up in a cradle position. Right as she is about to hook her arm around Candy's neck, Candy comes to life with a look that would kill a normal human. Swango notices the look as Candy begins biting at the free arm of Swango. Josh doesn't see the biting as Candy releases as he comes toward them. Swango shakes her arm as Candy moves her body to get her legs wrapped around Swango's waist before snapping off a Sour Bomb. After hitting the move, Candy doesn't go for the cover immediately.
Aiello: Uh oh, looks like she's not done here!
Bennett: Looks like that change in attitude is changing her priorities in competition, Joe! Iggy could get hurt bad here if she's not careful!
Candy rubs her hands together before picking Swango up off the canvas. As Swango is getting up, she strikes with an European upoercut which rocks Candy. Candy staggers a bit as Swango sends Candy into the corner. Candy manages to stop herself before colliding with the turnbuckles. She sees Swango charging in and moves out of the way. Swango comes running with a head of steam and crashes chest first into the turnbuckles.
Swango turns around slowly while trying to catch her breath. This seems to be ill advised as Candy comes charging and strikes with two knees into the same area Swango just struck the turnbuckles. Swango staggers forward as Candy goes to grab Swango by the neck. Swango instinctively grabs Candy by the arm and performs a judo throw over her shoulder. Candy lands awkwardly on her right shoulder as Swango quickly picks Candy up in the cradle position once again. This time she connects with Noise Pollution and floats over with the cover while hooking the leg closest to the ring ropes.

Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall... IGGY SWANGO!
"Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac starts playing as Iggy Swango quickly rolls out of the ring. She leans against the guardrail as a few fans touch her sweaty body. She throws up a rock hand gesture before making her way towards the ramp. Sour Candy sits up in the middle of the ring and just stares at Iggy. Iggy shrugs her shoulders while walking backwards up the ramp while doing the gold motion next to her waist.
Aiello: Now we know one half of the International Championship match at StrangleMania. What a match we just witnessed by both competitors. Sour Candy clearly brought the fire but it was Iggy who came out of the flames red hot.
Bennett: I'll give Iggy credit she hung in there and came away the winner. However, I have a feeling that she will cross paths with Sour Candy and I predict a different outcome.
Aiello: With that in mind, we are just moments away from our main event! Tyler Bradford demanded this rematch after losing the FX Broadcast Championship, and he's getting it tonight as he takes on the new champ Rebel Rhodes! Don't go away!
Iggy continues to celebrate as we cut to our final commercial of the evening!

The Rebel Star sits backstage, elbows resting on knees and leaning forward. She’s in her ring gear and red vest, sunglasses resting atop her spiked hair. She stares ahead, her expression intense as she gathers herself in preparation for the match that’s coming. In her stomach those nerves churn, familiar butterflies she’s always felt since day one. Suddenly a tattooed hand slips into frame, holding a bottle of water in front of her face. She looks up and the camera follows to reveal her husband, James “Wildkard” Spade smiling back at her.
Spade: Water?
Mel takes the bottle and cracks it open, taking a long healthy swig.
Rebel: Thanks, hon.
Spade: No biggie. It’s not whiskey, but I figure it’s something to help ease the old nerves a bit.
He settles down beside her. Mel smirks a bit.
Rebel: Glad you’re here, even if you’re only hanging out in the back.
Spade: Nobody knows who I am anymore and while it’s kind of nice, it sure does make getting backstage a bit of a pain in the ass.
James chuckles a bit. Mel turns her head and looks him directly in the eye.
Rebel: You know, the day I don’t feel nervous before a match is the day I think I’d have to hang up the boots. We go out there, looking calm and confident as fuck, but truth is anyone who competes in front of a crowd, no matter the size, is going to be amped up. It’s the nerves that drive us, keep us energized and going in that ring. Without a little bit of fear, what’s the point of doing it?
Spade: You know my favorite saying: If it doesn’t scare you even just a little bit then it ain’t worth doing. Even that cocky prick you’re facing tonight is somewhere back here, feeling the fear and nerves too. Nobody got anything worthwhile done from the confines of their comfort zone. That’s the truth.
The Rebel chuckles softly and nods.
Rebel: Gotta’ be afraid and willing to fail to succeed. Can’t never could do nothing.
Spade: Damn skippy, love.
The two share a kiss.
Spade: Go out there and kill it. Give Bradford a reason to think twice about the name, Melinda Rhodes.
Mel strokes his cheek, smiling back at him affectionately.
Rebel: Thanks, honey. I love you.
Spade: Love you too.
Suddenly a red light shines, telling them it was a few minutes till match time. She rises, flipping the FX Broadcast Championship onto her shoulder. Lifting the shades from her hair, she slipes the chrome aviators over the bridge of her nose and hooks them behind her ears. Game face on, she exits the frame. James turns and flips on a monitor, getting ready to watch her match coming up next…

A REBELLIOUS REMATCH FOR THE GOLD!
[SINGLES MATCH]
FOR THE FX BROADCAST CHAMPIONSHIP
![]() | VS | ![]() |
Tyler Bradford | Melinda "Rebel" Rhodes |
We return to ringside where chants have already begun in favor of the newly-crowned FX Broadcast Champion. Senior referee Paul Turner quietly snatches an overly-abrasive anti-Sabotage sign from a scowling fan in the front row.
Aiello: Tensions are already high in anticipation of this massive rematch, Steve.
Bennett: Love 'em or hate 'em - and if you don't love 'em I don't know what the hell is wrong with you - Tyler Bradford and the rest of Sabotage know how to play a crowd. They don't even gotta be here, Joe! Rebel Rhodes is fighting an uphill battle from the damn start.
Stroup: The following match is for one fall, and is for the FX Broadcast Championship! Joining us first, from Miami Beach, Florida, weighing in at two hundred and twenty three pounds ... TYLER BRADFORD!
The crowd turns instantly as the former champion bursts from the back into a cocky strut, flanked a moment later by Sabotage. He pauses halfway down the ramp, arms raised to soak in the spectacular jeers, chewing on a matchstick and sizing up the crowd as if they're all there for him. Which, in fairness, they are. Eddie Dozier and Callie Clark take up enforcer positions on either side of the ring as Bradford slowly swaggers in to take his corner.
Stroup: And his opponent, from Rome, Georgia, weighing in at one hundred and forty five pounds ... "THE REBEL STAR" MELINDA RHODES!
Aiello: For all you've said, Steve, Rhodes looks like the champion she very much is. This is not going to be an easy contest for anyone, but dare I say it? It may be tougher still for Mr. Bradford here tonight.
DING DING DING
Tyler remains in his corner, still smacking his jaw arrogantly as he chews away on the scenery. Rhodes is pacing a semi-circle around him, hungry from the get-go, a lioness prowling her figurative cage. She beckons him in, and he nonchalantly flips her off. With a game smirk, Rebel turns and breaks into a dash, getting into place for an Asai moonsault that wipes out a wide-eyed Callie Clark at the northern edge of the ring.
Springing back up with a roar that sets the crowd going, Rhodes sees a furious Dozier charging around ringside and wisely slides back in to evade him. This brings her into range of a now-irritated Tyler Bradford, who grabs her in a headlock and hauls her into the center as Sabotage regroup on the outside. Rebel fights back, managing to sweep a leg and fall back with the challenger, seizing an arm and trying to twist him into an armbar. Bradford has it scouted, and rolls through, dragging Rhodes across his back and planting an arm across her throat as she hits the mat. She chokes, but fights back, getting a thumb into the man's eye and digging deep.
The referee gives a verbal warning, but the fighters are fixated on one another. Rhodes pops to her feet, slinging Bradford's arm across her own shoulders. He counters with a foot stomp, then a couple of brisk body shots that stagger the champion. A deft reversal sees her taken down with a snap suplex! She lands well, rolls to her feet, but is immediately met by a positively predatory follow-up; Tyler rushes her down, and nails a massive high-release German!
Aiello: Tyler really taking it to the champ here with that suplex!
Bennett: He's on a mission to take back what's rightfully his, Joe!
"I'm BETTER than you!" Crows Bradford to a rising Rhodes. She looks him in the eye and spits at his feet, beckoning him forward. His eyes bug out as he charges, and catches her between the eyes with a closed fist. On the outside, Dozier makes a commotion, jumps up onto the apron. Rhodes doesn't see it as she staggers into a belated counter, scything at the challenger's left leg with a savage low kick, then weaving under an angry backfist to nail him with stiff body shots. She's focused; quick, precise, and Tyler is driven back, barely getting away from the Rhodes Kill spear that culminates the creative combination!
Bradford finds himself beside the official, who still has his hands full with a smart-mouthed Eddie Dozier. With a cold sneer, Tyler imitates Rhodes' own boxing weave as she turns her assault back toward him, and then he black-mirrors her low kick with a low blow. The champion gasps, folding double as she staggers back to escape any kind of follow-up - and boy does Bradford try, his expression intent, charging at her exposed back--
--and finding Rebel Rhodes the mongoose to his rattlesnake. DING! She rings his proverbial bell with a spinning knee strike that practically sends him back into puberty. She collapses onto that same knee, barely catching herself as she resumes trying to catch her breath. Paul Turner, well, turns and finds both competitors down, a look of confusion on his face as, on the outside, Dozier and Clark commiserate this 'eye for an eye' result.
Aiello: Well, this match just took a turn!
Bennett: Not looking good for Tyler here after all, come on Tyler! Let's get this sorted out and go home!
They went down at the same time, and they find their feet similarly. Headlock for headlock, punch for punch, champion and challenger meet in a hockey fight in the center of the ring, Rhodes clearly fighting to keep that position; away from the interference of Sabotage. Their shots get progressively harder, until Bradford accelerates proceedings with a rapid-fire dropkick that misses by a whisker as Rebel goes under! Back into that boxing bob n' weave she goes, but this time Bradford puts on the pressure to force her backwards, closer to the corner now occupied by Callie Clark. Rebel keeps her cool, lands a couple of beestings to the body, and then changes tack as Bradford dives in for a lock-up; countering with a sharp Judo-style hip toss!
Tyler slides toward the ringpost, and Melinda pursues him with stomps and kicks, forcing him back-first into the corner. Clark makes a play, reaching out across the apron to sweep a leg, and Rhodes darts back, wagging a cautionary finger at the younger woman. Callie snaps something that's undoubtedly very rude (oh, Sabotage) and Rhodes no-sells the comment completely, focusing instead on Bradford as he comes raging out of the corner-- and straight into a Shot to the Heart!
Rhodes DRAGS him further into the ring and goes for the cover!

KICKOUT!
Aiello: Wow! So close, but Bradford is still in it!
Bennett: He's got the heart of a champion Joe, and soon he's gonna get the belt to match!
Beyond incensed now, Tyler Bradford is fighting like a cornered animal, clearly flustered but refusing to stay down. Despite the damage, he finds his feet a beat before Rhodes does, his youth and natural athleticism ensuring he's not remotely out of this contest. He takes her back down with a double-leg, slides into full mount and batters her with a couple of ham-fisted strikes before spinning out into an armbar. He fights to lock it in, as Rhodes twists and turns, grabbing for the rope to force a break... that Bradford, naturally, milks for as long as he's able.
Rhodes is clutching her injured arm as she finds her feet, and the challenger circles her, bouncing from foot-to-foot, twisting his neck and working out his shoulders as if he's just now finding his full stride. He dashes forward, and seems about to put on the brakes when Mel steps aside and flings him headlong into a full sprint. He obliges by hitting the ropes as she does the same, going once more for the Rhodes Kill! Bradford slides under, and hits a drop toe hold, sending the champion crashing to the mat. "I SAID," he roars into her ear, as he floats over for a headlock...
"LET'S GO REBEL!" clap-clap-clapclapclap
"I'M BETTER THAN YOU!"
"LET'S GO REBEL!" clap-clap-clapclapclap
Bradford grinds on the headlock, making it real ugly as he pauses to jack his jaw at the crowd, which couldn't be more against him if it tried - and it's fucking trying. Rhodes is out-powered and out-wrestled at this moment, and even in the face of so simple a move she's struggling to work free. A full minute passes, and the chants begin to flag, before Bradford starts laughing, and drags the damaged, somewhat-limp champ to her feet.
With authority, he measures her with a body blow and then hits a cutter. Rather than go for the pin, he stalks his grounded prey, kicking her in the face, even bending down for an eye gouge as he hisses something into her ear. Whatever he says, Rhodes is snarling. Angry. Frustrated.
"BRADFORD SUCKS!"
"LET'S GO REBEL!"
"BRADFORD SUCKS!"
Aiello: Things are really picking up steam here!
Bennett: You can tell just how much both competitors want this title...how much they NEED this title!
Chortling away to himself, proud as Mr. Goddamn Punch, Bradford all-too-easily hauls the champion up over his shoulders, getting her into place for his familiar press slam drop. The overwhelming outpour of negativity from the crowd just seems to spur him on, and he steps into the center of the ring, his jaw out, radiating smugness as he hefts Rebel up and over. Releases her, forces her into the Witness Me... she's falling, in prime position for the Pele Kick he launches--
--n-no! Rebel Rhodes is indeed struck, but she turns in mid-air and manages to haul the striking leg down with her, her teeth gritted, her landing painful; but shared with Tyler Bradford. Instinctive, furious, punishing, she captures the leg into a grapevine and falls back into the hold, all but snapping it off before Paul Turner can rush in and break the hold. Bradford, wise beyond his ears, managed to sling his other leg over the ring ropes, forcing the break!
Each member of Sabotage is up on the apron, both of them throwing chaos into the mix as Turner separates the competitors whilst also trying to restore lost order on each side of the ring. Tyler Bradford tries to hide his limp as he puts distance between himself and Rhodes. She's breathing heavily, seems hyper-focused, perhaps lost in adrenaline; but she lets him get away. The astute can see her gaze slide swiftly between Turner and the two members of Sabotage.
She moves like liquid mercury, finding the moment that Turner singles out Dozier once more to rush at Callie Clark, smashing her from the apron with a single-leg dropkick, catching herself with arms outflung to immediately launch across the ring at Dozier. Paul Turner sees her coming and backs off. Tyler Bradford sees her going and can't quite capitalize! Eddie drops from the apron, swearing, but Rhodes has his number; she leaves her feet, clearing the ropes with a plancha suicida!
Bradford moves to the ropes to intercept the returning Rhodes, and they brawl for a moment on the apron before he brings her in the hard way with a suplex. She lands HARD, but bounces into a skid, finding her feet, almost falling against the ropes - but rebounding on that same bloody-minded instinct. Tyler Bradford comes in strong, looking to plow her into last season with a devastating clothesline; but she POWER SLIDES right under it, to a huge pop from the crowd!
Rhodes spins around. Bradford spins around. Only one of them has the presence of mind, in these final moments, to go for a 'third time lucky' with the Rhodes Kill. The spear carries Tyler Bradford off his feet and back down into the mat, dead center of the ring, a million miles from the wiped-out Sabotage. Breath coming in sharp, painful bursts, the champion locks up the challenger right then and there, elevating him into the Rebel Death Lock. Paul Turner dives to the mat, asking for the submission... Bradford cusses him out, waves him off, and then...
Rhodes ROARS as she sinks the hold in yet more deeply. Tyler Bradford taps.
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via submission, "THE REBEL STAR" REBEL RHODES!
Clutching at his ravaged leg, Bradford can do nothing but roll in agony as the announcement comes and Melinda Rhodes' music hits. That roar becomes a scream, of passion and shock and teary-eyed jubilation, as the reigning FX Broadcast Champion rolls to her knees with her arms in the air, casting her gaze over a legion of cheering fans - who've been behind her the entire time, picking her up and urging her on. She's beside herself as she receives the belt from Turner and mounts each corner post in turn, lifting devil horns that are enthusiastically echoed!
Aiello: We saw technicality, we saw boxing, we saw down n' dirty tactics that even you'd surely be proud of, Steve, but in the end it's Melinda Rhodes who proves that her ownership of that title wasn't a fluke. She proved herself in this rematch. She can not only still wrestle, not only keep up with the likes of Tyler Bradford, she can be counted among the very best in this business!
Bennett: She also knows how to poke a goddamn bear! That mean son of a bitch Eddie Dozier won't take this lying down, and neither will Callie Clark. She might've gotten past Bradford, but all she did out there was control Sabotage as a unit. Take away her precious rules, and what would she have left? A lot of spunk and fire, Joe. That's it. Sure, she's champion. For now.
Aiello: What a way to end things tonight, folks! In two weeks we head to Vancouver where the International Championship is on the line, and we take our final step on the road to StrangleMania XVII! For Steve Bennett, I'm Joe Aiello saying so long and good night from Charleston!
The last thing we see is Rebel Rhodes continuing to celebrate with the fans, thrilled to still be champion as the show comes to a close...
