??: "I've walked this road before."
The camera tilts upwards and a familiar face appears on the screen.
Mark Storm: "And where it goes is to a place of no return. I ask myself, quite often, whether I'm ready for that. The truth is, I'll never know the answer until I walk that path again."
Your Hero and Mine, smirks as the camera-man backs away and gets a clear cut frame of the scene, as Storm begins to pace around what seems to be an abandoned locker room. Posters of past Extreme Wrestling Corporation events are scattered around the room, many of them with his face displayed on the front of them. He picks up one specific poster and looks at it for a moment or so, letting out a chuckle before holding the poster throwing it back down to the ground. The camera zooms in on the poster, which shows Your Hero and Mine going toe to toe with EWC Hall of Famer, Xplode.
Mark Storm: "They say we should forget the past and leave it be. I get it and all but I think the past informs us of what's to come."
Storm walks towards the other end of the locker room and the camera man closely follows behind him. He stops as he reaches a locker that has another poster on it, one that depicts Storm with his EWC World Heavyweight Championship draped on his shoulder, after triumphantly defeating Ruby at Stranglemania X.
Mark Storm: "There's a storm coming..."
He says with a smirk upon his lip, with the scene abruptly cutting to black.
MATCH ONE
Ruby Clifton VS Tanja Devereaux
X-DIVISION
REF: Pierce Patterson
We return to ringside.
Martinez: A storm is coming, but right now we have VIOLENCE coming!
Loydson: An X-Division match to kick the show off!
Chriqui: The following match is a singles match. Introducing first from Philadelphia, PA & weighing in at 122 pounds... RUBY CLIFTON!!!
Dark red lights begin flicker through the arena as "Thank You For Hating Me" by Citizen Soldier begins to blare over the speakers as Ruby Clifton steps out from behind the curtain with Black Velvet right beside her. The crowd isn't thrilled to see her as Ruby is grinning from ear to ear. She and Black Velvet walk down the ramp. Ruby slides into the ring and leans in one of the corners.
Chriqui: And her opponent from NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA & weighing in at 115 pounds... TANJA DEVEREAUX!!!
Pyros hit as Videos of bustling crowds in various locations of New Orleans appear on the tron as "Daughters of Darkness" by Halestorm blasts on the P.A. system. Tanja comes out onto the top of the ramp in a style compared to Gail Kim during her early time in TNA before heading down the ramp with some of her black leather coat flows at her feet while the mix of boos and jeers and cheers from the crowd fills the arena. She slaps hands with a few fans at ringside before she reaches the bottom of the ramp.
Tanja walk up towards the ring and enters via under the bottom rope and jumps onto the middle turnbuckle. She poses as she does her usual taunt with a hand and arm in the air as "Daughters of Darkness" continues to play. Tanja steps off the turnbuckle as she removes the leather coat and throws it into a random corner.
Martinez: Ruby Clifton last week showed off some brutality as she took out Tanja from that gauntlet match, now these two meet with no rules.
Loydson: Tanja showed some brutality herself, knocking Roisin clean out!
DING DING DING
With the ring of the bell, Ruby and Tanja explode into each other with a double lariat that rocks both backwards. Tanja finds her footing and jumps into a roundhouse kick but Ruby drops down into a split to avoid it, the momentum spins Tanja around and Ruby jumps into into a dropkick to the back of Tanja's leg! Tanja tells out in pain while Ruby stomps down on her leg before dragging her up and hitting an arm-trapped German suplex! Ruby drags Tanja up by her hair and smashes a palm strike into the base of Tanja's skull. Ruby whistles for Black Velvet to throw her in the diamond studded kendo stick.
Martinez: Ruby might try to end this one already!
Loydson: And this will end if she connects on Tanja with that kendo stick!
Ruby swings wildly at Tanja, but she rolls out of the way to the outside. Ruby rushes to the ropes and leaps out of the ring looking for Velvet Ropes, but Tanja again moves! Ruby crashes and burns, but jumps up to her feet. She turns to face Tanja but Tanja brings the diamond studded kendo stick down between her eyes before jumping into a roundhouse kick! Ruby falls slumped against the ring apron, but does not hit the ground. Tanja gets to her feet and grabs on a front-facing headlock, Tanja kicks off the apron into a tornado DDT! Tanja drags Ruby up and slaps her before Irish-whipping her into the steel steps. Tanja goes under the ring and grabs a steel chair, she goes over to Ruby and smashes it against her back until the chair is dented and broke. Tanja drags Ruby up into a sleeper-hold and then rips her backwards into a sleeper suplex! Tanja drags Ruby up and rolls her into the ring.
Loydson: Tanja has made an impressive comeback and could have this match well in hand.
Martinez: Don't look now!
Tanja goes to make it into the ring, but Ruby dropkicks her in the knee. Ruby rolls onto her hands and knees and grabs at her injured head while Tanja grabs at her knee. Tanja hobbles over to Ruby and pulls her up, Ruby jumps up into a hurricanrana and spikes Tanja on her head! Ruby drags Tanja up and smashes another palm into Tanja. Ruby goes for another dropkick but Tanja drops down and lunges into a double-leg takedown! Tanja rolls Ruby over and smashes a forearm into the base of Ruby's skull. Tanja drags Ruby up by her hair into a reverse spinning STO! Death's Call!!!

DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall ... TANJA DEVERAUEX!!!
Tanja gets to her feet but immediately falls down, she's completely drained. Medical staff check on Ruby and Tanja while we cut over to commentary.
Martinez: Tanja with a giant win here tonight, she may have lost the HBO Broadcast Championship, but now she has defeated 3 opponents in 2 shows. One has to imagine she's near the top of the list for another shot.
Loydson: You would imagine, but that takes nothing away from Ruby Clifton. If Ruby would have kicked out of that, I think she'd have this match won. Tanja is completely gassed.
Martinez: What a brutal match to start the show, but don't you go anywhere!
Camera cuts to ...
Alexandra is backstage, she smiles as the camera came up on her in the backstage area. She nods softly and takes the moment to breathe before she starts to speak, hyping up her arrival in EWC. She looked directly into the camera and started to speak.
Alexandra Calaway: “I’m sure by now you’ve all seen the promo I cut on my social media just recently outside of this very arena where I told you all that I would be here. And here I am, you see, I had come to join EWC and congratulate an old friend on finally capturing a title here in EWC, yes I’ve been watching the network and I was so very proud of him.. but he took what would have been an amazing reunion in my honest opinion.. and turned it into a challenge. Well, here I am Phoenix and the time for games are over.”
She tilted her head, smirking a bit more than she had expected to do. It wasn’t just Phoenix who should be worried about being in the path of the Devils Daughter. She knew she had a gauntlet to run through before she could destroy him and take all that he wanted. She began to speak on the topic again. This time she had a lot more to say. She knew that it was risky, but she was going to be watching this match VERY closely. So close in fact that Phoenix would be a bit nervous, and she knew it. However, she wouldn’t get involved while it was happening. No she wanted to see Jamie Love completely decimate Phoenix Winterborn.
Alexandra Calaway: “You see, tonight, I’ll be watching... and if you think for one moment that just because we had a friendship before, that I won’t put you on your ass for trying something stupid in this match with Jamie you are sorely mistaken. You see, after what you did... he has every right to tear you limb from limb, and when he’s finished with you... if there’s anything left in your tank... it’s me that’s going to finish the job... and if by some streak of luck, you manage to beat Jamie, well... I’ll be seeing you.”
She knew just from his reaction that she was under her skin, even if he wouldn’t admit it. She wasn’t going to let up either. She was going to make sure he realized just how much he messed up when he threw out his little challenge to her, while also putting the locker room on notice. With that being said, Alexandra smirked and then licked her lips. She knew she was going to have to say more than just what she had to say to Phoenix.
Alexandra Calaway: “So this is a warning to the Rampage locker room and to all of EWC, Alexandra Calaway, The Hellion, is here.. and there is nothing that will stand between me and carving a path through this company on my way to a championship title. So, if you are ready.. how about you step up, get into that ring with me and see what it’s like to face a woman who feeds off the violence and pain.”
Just as Alexandra was finishing, Diana walked over to her and looked at her up and down with a bit of smirk with Sara who was standing next to her. That is when Jason appears next as he smirks as they all walk away from her down the hallway. Alexandra smirked and shrugged looking into the camera before looking off the way they walked, before walking off in the opposite direction.
MATCH TWO
Autumn Raven VS Darna Dare
SINGLES
REF: Pierce Patterson
We return to ringside where Pierce Patterson is set for the next match.
Martinez: Alexandra is here, and here we go with two crazy females looking to tear each other apart just like the last match.
Loydson: Darna Dare is poised to become the next United States Champion but she is looking to have some fun with Autumn Raven here tonight.
Chriqui: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Sugbu, Philippines & weighing in at 113 pounds... DARNA DARE
Darna emerges amidst coils of thick, gray smoke, her hood raised and gaze trained upon the ring. Bold steps carry her into a dive through the ropes, where she rolls and comes up balanced on her hands, spine curved dramatically and legs extended, toes pointed in line with her determined glare. A few scuttling hand-steps are taken in this bizarre signature pose, before she thrusts her feet forward and flips to standing, rising in a distorted gymnast's salute, then a flamboyant bow to the crowd; a devilish grin gracing her lips.
Chriqui: And her opponent from The City of Angels & weighing in at 125 pounds... AUTUMN RAVEN
The tron plays a scene of the hollywood walk of fame going by slowly, the shadow of a raven seen over each and every star that’s there. As you hear the lyrics ‘Your stars burned out for good, somewhere in Hollywood’, the shadow flies into the one star without a name, writing out Autumn’s name on it, the star turning to a dingy, grungy picture with graffiti written all over it.
As the first part of the song starts up, Autumn appears from backstage, slowly walking out, coming to a stop at the top of the ramp as she surveys the crowd with a cold smirk on her face. She stands there for a minute before making her way down the ramp slowly, walking once around the ring before sliding under the bottom rope and hopping to her feet, making her way to the corner to climb to the top ringpost. She flings her arms out to the side, laughing at the crowd.
Martinez: Darna looks ready for a fight.
Loydson: Autumn Raven looks more crazy than normal.
DING DING DING
Right as the bell sounds, Darna bursts out of her corner and catches Autumn with a vicious clothesline. Autumn's back presses against the turnbuckle as Darna unleashes a heavy dose of rights and lefts to each side of her head. Autumn is trying to cover up but Darna continues to pepper her with heavy shots. Autumn eventually manages to block one of the rights and turns Darna into the turnbuckles.
Instead of using her fists, she starts putting the boots to Darna. Stomp after stomp before moving away while screaming at the top of her lungs. Darna catches her breath then charges at Autumn. Autumn catches her in a bear hug before launching her overhead with a belly to belly suplex.
Martinez: big time belly there as Autumn gets some control.
Loydson: But how long will it last.
Darna rolls outside of the ring as she tries to slow down Autumn's momentum. Autumn sees Darna on the floor and bounces off the ropes. She charges across the ring but as she is about to fly through the ropes. Darna catches her with a sharp right hand. Autumn is draped across the middle ropes as Darna walks toward the crowd before snapping back towards the ring and slamming her boot across the side of Autumn's head.
Autumn falls off the ropes as Darna slides back into the ring. She rolls Autumn away from the ropes while going for a cover.

Autumn just barely rolls her shoulder up as Darna looks at Pierce before getting back up to her feet. She goes to pull Autumn back up but gets caught in a small package.

Darna quickly kicks out as she rolls onto her knee. Autumn does the same as both women stare at each other. Autumn chuckles as she gets up to her feet. Darna stands to her feet before charging at Autumn.
Loydson: Here we go, SLUUUUUG FEST!
Martinez: This is awesome.
Darna is looking for a clothesline but Autumn ducks the attempt. Darna bounces off the ropes and catches Autumn with a running knee strike. Autumn rolls over onto her knees. Autumn rises up and rushes Darna with a wild clothesline over the top rope, leaving both crashing outside to the padded concrete. ONE...TWO...THREE...FOUR...FIVE...SIX...SEVEN...EIGHT...NINE...TEEEEEN
DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winners, via double count out... DARNA DARE & AUTUMN RAVEN
Neither Autumn nor Darna get up at the call of the draw, both are too beat at this point. They are helped up by refs and look ready to fight again, but they are pulled apart.
Martinez: I can smell a falls count anywhere rematch down the line, how exciting!
Loydson: They might not survive such a match!
Martinez: And you won't survive if you change that dial, we'll be right back!
Camera cuts to ...
MATCH THREE
Tommy Burton VS Samantha "The Titaness" Hamilton
SINGLES
REF: Mike Michaelson
We return to ringside where Mike Michaelson is waiting for the next match to begin.
Martinez: The first meeting of the season between Tommy Burton and Samantha Hamilton should be a good one.
Loydson: I'll be surprised if Tommy can beat Sam and put him into title contention.
Chriqui: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from New Brunswick, Canada & weighing in at 209 pounds... TOMMY BURTON
The drum beat. The screaming guitar… The unmistakable sound of Nirvana.
The lights dim slightly, the orange strobe of the lower stage lights strobe over the hooded man walking out. His hardened jaw. His mouthguard. His taped hands clenched hard as he makes his way down to the ring.
As the Scentless Apprentice plays, and the lights come up, we see Tommy Burton pull back his hood and remove his Club jacket. His eyes wide… crazy looking.
The music lowers, Tommy removes his hoodie, dropping it to the mat, he once again clenches his hands together… “Let’s do this”
Chriqui: And his opponent from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida & weighing in at 145 pounds... SAMANTHA HAMILTON
'Indestructible' by Disturbed blares over the PA system. As it does, we see the forms of The Titaness, her husband, Joseph "Orion" Hunter, and 'The Memphis Mouthpiece' Tommy Love all standing at the top of the ramp. The Titaness saunters down the ramp, flanked by Joseph on one side and Tommy on the other.
When she finally gets to the ropes, the Titaness will slip through the middle and top ropes, waiting looking across the ring at Tommy.
Martinez: Tommy looks focused.
Loydson: Sam looks ready to bounce back after last week.
DING DING DING
The moment the bell sounds, Sam and Tommy vacate their corners and meet right in the middle. Tommy growls as Sam is talking smack. A few seconds later, Sam is rocked by a hard right hand by Tommy. Sam answers back with a right of her own. They continue to trade blows until Sam swings wildly as Tommy ducks underneath and stands behind her. He grabs her around the waist, lifts her up off the ground before planting her chest first onto canvas. Tommy turns Sam over, gets on top of her and begins to drop multiple forearms across her face.
Sam is trying to cover up but nothing seems to be working. Tommy quickly gets up off her, runs toward the ropes and bounces off them. As he rebounds, Sam drops down in front of him then pushes herself up to a vertical base. As Tommy bounces off the other set of ropes, Sam catches him with a vicious back elbow followed by a quick leg drop across his throat.
Martinez: That leg drop will cut off air supply, make it really hard to breath and really wear you down.
Loydson: And if you cannot breathe, you cannot fight.
Sam is the first one up to her feet as she drags Tommy up to his feet. As the two of them are standing, Sam strikes with a hard knee into the sternum before dropping a clubbing forearm across his back. Tommy lets out a grunt before Sam snaps off a hip toss. She follows the hip toss with a cartwheel before landing a front dropkick to the side of Tommy's head.
Sam quickly picks Tommy back up, places him on her shoulders before falling backwards with a samoan drop. After landing the move, she quickly goes for the cover.
One
Tw.......
Tommy kicks out before the count of two. Sam doesn't waste time as she picks Tommy up and goes to shoot him off towards the ropes. Tommy bounces off them, ducks under a clothesline, rebounds from the other side before hitting a dropkick to the right knee of Sam. The shot causes Sam to drop to knee where Tommy repeatedly tries to cave in her chest with those massive shoot style kicks. Sam falls back after receiving a big kick to her head. Tommy quickly goes for a cover of his own.
One

Thr.......
Referee Michaelson nearly counts three until Sam rolls her shoulder up. Tommy smacks the canvas once before grabbing a handful of Sam's blonde hair and drags her toward the corner. He picks up her right leg, drapes it across the ropes and kicks it repeatedly. Sam is trying to fight him off but he bounces off the ropes and strikes with a dropkick right to the exposed area. Sam grunts before falling to a seated position in the corner.
Loydson: Hamilton is in a bad way here, Tommy Burton might secure himself a spot on the US Contendership!
Martinez: And that would be the biggest win of his career.
Tommy quickly gets back on the attack as he stomps Sam repeatedly in the corner before pressing his boot across her throat. Michaelson tells Tommy to back off. Tommy shoots him a look before backing up a bit. After a second, he comes charging but strikes the turnbuckle knee first.
Tommy slowly hobbles around as Sam slides back into the ring and connects with a vicious big boot. Tommy drops as Sam picks him up once again. She shoots him off and this time he strikes back first into the turnbuckles.
Sam charges after him but gets met with a back elbow. Sam staggers a little as Tommy goes to hook her for an exploder suplex but Sam fires off several forearms before slamming her foot into his gut. Tommy bends over as Sam pulls his head in between her legs and follows by hook both his arms behind his back. She leaps into the air before planting him face first with the Wrath of the Titans. Sam quickly shoots the half and hooks the leg.

DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall ... SAMANTHA HAMILTON
Samantha sits up one her knees before rising to her feet. She lifts her arm high into the air before rolling out of the ring. Sam gingerly makes her way up the ramp just as Tommy Burton is sitting up in the ring.
Martinez: That's why she is the United States Champion. She put on a good performance tonight and maybe sent a message to Darna Dare in the process.
Loydson: Tommy Burton tried his best but it wasn't enough on this night.
Martinez: Tommy gets closer to beating Sam with every match, next time may very well be his night.
Camera cuts to ...
Jason is wearing his leather red and black hood jacket with the hood over his head wearing black gloves on his hand. Diana was wearing all Black and Gold pants and a top with Sara wearing a red and black dress that was hitting her curves. They were walking down the hallway towards the ring but wanted to make a stop. It looked like it was before Jason’s Match. Jason slowly pushes his hood back looking over at the locker room door. Sara and Diana sighed a bit as he nodded as Diana knocked on the door. Jamie opens the door wincing slightly as he holds his taped-up rib with his free hand as he moves out of the way to let them inside.
Jamie: Hey Jason what's up
He asks as they walk inside of the locker room. Sara noticed Jamie's ribs while Jason did also. Diana just leans against the locker room door sucking on her blow pop watching. Jason took in a deep breath pointed towards Jamie's ribs.
Jason Hunter: Do you think that was a good idea now to have that match?
Sara bites her bottom lip a bit as looked over at them.
Jamie: I think it was
Jamie said the short sentence with heat in his voice.
Jamie: Before I went into that deathmatch I was afraid I wouldn't be able to do what needed to be done. That's not a problem anymore.
Jamie leans up against the nearest wall as he talks, taking as much pressure off his left ankle as possible hoping no one notices. Jason Hunter looks over at him as Sara goes to go help him but is stopped by Jason. He places his hand on his shoulder looking right into his eyes.
Jason Hunter: Right now he will believe you are weak. Right now he will believe you are easy for the picking but you have to let him see through the pain you gain a reward. The reward will be that HBO Broadcast Champion title. Few people want me to talk you out of doing this. I see what you are trying to do so I am not going to stop you. I am going to help you grow into the wrestler you want to be but when I tell you I believe you need to slow down. You have to listen to me only because you can form an addiction that will be hard to stop. So promise me you will listen to me when I say to slow down will you?
Jason offers his hand over to Jamie.
Jason Hunter: Even though things aren’t going well with me and your father I truly hope you still be with me.
Jamie: I'm not my father. If you ever need me all you have to do is let me know. As for slowing it down on the other things I promise.
As Jamie says the words 'I promise' he looks down at the floor instead of at Jason.
Jason nods as he looks over at Sara as she smiles softly walking over to him as she lifts up his Jamie face with her hands she kisses him. Jason smirks a bit as she looks into Jamie's eyes.
Sara: I will wait for you right here after your match, my Small King. Go show Phoenix Winterborn no one messes with Jamie Love!
Sara kisses him once again before walking out of the locker room with Jason and Diana. Jamie smiles and squeezes Sara's hand as she turns away.
Jamie: Thanks for stopping by. I'm going to relax and get in the right headspace before my match. I'll talk to you when I get back with MY HBO Championship.
Sara smiles back as the three of them walk out the door. As it closes Jason glances back at Jamie with a look of concern on his face as the door closes.
MATCH FOUR
Jason Hunter VS Olivia Saint
X-DIVISION
REF: Mike Michaelson
Martinez: Two weeks ago the EWC got the shock announcement that Olivia Saint would be coming back
Loydson: That night she would challenge Jason Hunter the son of Ruthless Agression and Xplode to an X Division rules match!
Chriqui: The following X Division Match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first making her way to the ring being accompanied by Gabreal Martin! From Los Angeles, California weighing in at One Hundred and Seven Pounds Olivia Saint!!!!!
The intro to Happy Song by Bring Me The Horizon blares over the PA as the crowd chants along. The guitar kicks in as a loud explosion of pyro hits. Right after Olivia Saint and Gabreal Martin come down the ramp.
The two enter the ring and Olivia gets in the nearest middle turnbuckle and plays to the crowd.
Chriqui: And her opponent now residing in San Francisco California weighing in at One Hundred and Seventy Pounds The Prince of Wrestling Jason Hunter!
Daechwita comes over the speaker as Diana and Sara came out first as they stood on the stage with Jason with his back to the crowd and hood over his head. Sara slides the hood off his head as Diana walks ahead of them. Sara and Jason play to the fans a bit dancing to the music while Diana walked down the ramp. Diana holds the rope for them to get in while Sara and Jason get in-ring and she slides his jacket off him before leaving the ring with him glaring at the person warming up in the corner making sure his face mask is tight on his face protecting his nose.
Martinez: Olivia Saint looking very confident in her return tonight looking to make a statement right out of the gate.
Loydson: She needs to make more than a statement, because Jason Hunter is no slouch and is a hell of a talent between those ropes
DING DING DING
The bell has rung and this match is finally underway! The two go to the center of the ring and we actually get a lock up! Jason easily overpowers Olivia, shoving her back. Olivia gets in the face of Jason before slapping him across the face. Jason's head snaps back and he swings at Olivia who ducks under the shot. Jason turns around and Olivia hits a short flurry of shots to the six pack of her opponent. Jason is in the corner as she smirks and chops him hard across the chest. Olivia smirks and does once again which rocks Jason. Olivia hits the ropes, but when she comes back Jason nails a back elbow that floors the young lady. Olivia gets to her feet and Jason goes to whip her to the ropes, but she reverses before hitting a dropkick that sends him over the top to the outside. Jason gets up and dodges the baseball slide dropkick from Olivia before ramming her back first into the guardrail before tossing her back into the ring. Jason goes under the ring and pulls out a kendo stick before rolling back into the ring. Jason stalks his opponent as she gets to her feet before swinging for her head, but Olivia ducks under. Jason turns around into a dropkick causing him to drop the stick. Olivia hits a second dropkick that sends Jason to the mat. Olivia grabs the kendo stick she smirks before she brings it down across his back. Jason is on all four screaming out in pain a bit. She does it again and again before Jason then moves out of the way before she could come down with another hit of the stick to his back. Jason in pain stands up as Olivia goes to hit his side with it as he grabs it shaking his head no.
Olivia growls as they start to have a tug of war with it as he grabs it which makes her have her back to Jason's chest as he presses the kendo stick against her stomach as he then lifts her up and tosses her with the stick across the ring right into the corner turnbuckle. Olivia shakes the cobwebs a bit before Jason goes to whip Olivia into a corner, but she reverses which sends him into the corner. Olivia then grabs the stick and climbs on to his back placing it across his neck wrapping her legs around his waist and pulling the kendo stick around his throat to try to choke him out. Jason got down to one knee looking like he was fading but then he stood up on both his feet and he flipped her over onto her ass. Jason tosses the Kendo stick to the side as Olivia charges Jason who boots her in the face before grabbing Olivia and beils her across the ring!
Martinez: Call that young lady DJ Jazzy Jeff, because she just got Uncle Phil Beiled across the ring! What a move!
Loydson: What you need to realize is that Jason Hunter can do that stuff all night. Olivia Saint might have the right last name, but she is damn near a rookie. Less than ten matches into her career. She is facing a former FSW Champion and she needs to step up her game if she wants to win.
Jason again grabs the stick and when Olivia gets to her feet she gets cracked across the back. A second time. A third time. A fourth time. Jason waits for her to get to her feet and once again nails Olivia this time in the head busting her open and splintering the kendo stick breaking it in two. Jason covers Olivia

Jason hits the ropes and when Olivia gets to her feet Jason comes back connecting with a Piper's Pit to the outside! Jason gets to his feet and shows off a bit before tossing Olivia back into the ring. Jason grabs two chairs from under the ring before rolling back inside. Jason places one chair under the head of Olivia going to bring the other down on her head, but she rolls away. Olivia up and dropkicks the chair into the head of Jason! Olivia covers~

TWO.. Kickout by Jason Hunter!
Both up and Jason drops Olivia with a DDT! Jason goes to the top rope for Jason's Score, but Olivia gets to her feet and crotches him on the top rope! Olivia reaches into her boot and pulls out a railroad spike! Olivia climbs up top with Jason and starts to grind the spike into his head. Olivia eventually drags the spike over the head of Jason causing him to bleed. Olivia tosses the spike out of the ring she then takes her fist with all her strength and throws punches right into the wound which makes him busted open blood everywhere Jason looks because of the blood lost it was making him weak. Oliva gets ready to attempt a top rope move, but Jason is able to block before connecting with Jason's Drop and then collapsing to the mat.
Martinez: Top rope gutbuster from Jason Hunter once again showing off his power, but that was more out of desperation.
Loydson: Can you blame him. First that psychopath Olivia Saint cuts him open with a railroad spike and then she goes for something else insane. He has to use whatever he can to prevent this match from ending. Also I feel the need to point out that all three Saint family members use a damn railroad spike as a weapon. What the hell is up with that? I know that we have no rules in this match, but seriously that is a dangerous weapon. Why do we allow it here?

TWO.. Kickout by Jason Hunter!
Olivia stalks Jason and when he gets to his feet she goes for the J Connection, but Jason tosses her away back first onto one of the chairs! Jason takes the chair and heads up top when Olivia gets to her feet Jason leaps off and connects with a chair shot off the top to the head of Olivia! Jason points over to Gabreal before bringing the chair down on the body of Olivia a further three times. Gabe gets in the ring and goes at Jason, but Jason moves and Gabe takes out the ref!
Gabe turns around right into Diana. They start trash talking with the muscular woman but then Diana drops to her knees and then grabs the balls of Gabe and squeezes them tightly as he was screaming in pain. Gabe rolled out of the ring checking on them as Diana with a smirk turned around right into a chair shot from Olivia that knocked her out. Olivia starts trash talking her as Sara climbs inside of the ring and she grabs the chair from her and slaps her hard across the face hard enough to knock her down to the mat. Sara smirks as Jason grabs Olivia by the hair and flips her over his shoulder and gives her the Ruth Awaken as he smirks a bit while Sara pulls Diana out of the ring. Jason sets up Olivia for The Hunter Drop Zone on the chair, but Whatta Man by Salt N Peppa plays over the PA and Michael Saint makes his way to the ring! Jason looked up the ramp along with Sara and wondered why the hell he was there.
Loydson: What the hell is he doing here!
Martinez: He is Michael by god Saint and as the former GM of this brand he can go where he damn well pleases!
Jason lets go of Olivia taunting Michael fully unaware that El Chupacabra just came from the crowd and is sneaking up on him! Chupa turns Jason around and spits the green mist into his face! Jason stumbles around right into a Superkick from Michael Saint! Jason is barely standing and walks right into a J Connection from Olivia! Olivia looks confused at her brothers in the ring and from the back runs into Ruthann with her baseball bat in her hand. Ruthann drops it to the side and goes right clotheslines Chupa and Michael over the top. Ruth goes up top and leaps off with a crossbody taking out both Chupa and Michael! Olivia sees the baseball bat is in the ring as both her and Jason go for it at the same time. Olivia won the tug of war and hits him across the face with it right at the busted wound. Olivia, still a bit very confused, looks over to her brothers and is fighting with Ruthann. Olivia stares at Jason a moment who still wasn’t moving. She starts to climb the top rope but then Jason pops up and runs right up behind her going to the top rope Jason goes up to the top with Olivia and HUNTER DROP ZONE OFF THE TOP ROPE right down on the chair that was still in the ring! Chriqui: Here is your winner of the match via pin-fall JASON HUNTER!
Martinez: What a move! Jason puts down Olivia Saint for the win despite all the interference at the end!
Loydson: Olivia Saint put on a hell of a show in her come back, but at the end it was just not enough to her the win in her return tonight!
The cameras open up backstage focused on the office door of Rampage GM Grizzly Duggan. The door swings open, and Rachel Howard steps out with a satisfied smile on her face.
Rachel: No no… thank YOU Mr Duggan.
Melody Malone’s business manager closes the door behind her, turning as though she’s off to meet up with her client before she’s caught off guard by Bryan Spade with microphone in hand.
Bryan Spade: Ladies and Gentlemen, back here with Rachel Howard and Rachel… what was all that about?
Rachel Howard: Well… if you must know. I just had a meeting with our esteemed general manager about the brilliant start to this season that my client has had. I mean coming into tonight’s show 5 and 0, not a blemish on her record, competing twice in one night on the Rampage season opener, and yet… she’s not booked for Stranglemania? The QUEEN on the outside looking in? I mean, what kind of business manager would I be to just simply let that stand Bryan?
The crowd ringside boos and Rachel rolls her eyes, before Spade interjects.
Bryan Spade: So is it official? Will Melody Malone be at Stranglemania then?
Rachel Howard: Tell me Bryan, how well has Melody represented Rampage since signing here in the middle of 2019? Two rumble wins. Two wins for Team Rampage at Parabellum. An Undisputed championship reign. Two United states title reigns. Picking up the victory last season in the brand versus brand showdown with Prime. She’s been nothing short of phenomenal when she puts that green t-shirt on to represent Rampage. So… what else was Grizzly Duggan supposed to do? Rampage needs representation in the Drake Memorial Cup and who better to do it than the crown jewel of the Green brand? Connors can send in the clowns all he wants, but at the showcase of the immortals? Melody Malone is going to go out there and do what she does best by beating everyone else from every other brand on her way to winning that trophy and that golden ticket…
Bryan Spade: So do you know what that golden ticket is yet? Rumors are flying but if Grizzly Duggan t-
Rachel Howard: I might know… I might not. Let’s just say… rather than spilling that kind of gossip for some dirt sheet like the Wolfe Pack to speculate on all month? I’m going to keep that close to my chest, because I’d much prefer to let Melody have that moment, to make her announcement after she walks out of Stranglemania as the winner. Now, if you’ll excuse me… I have to go meet with my client, because all this Stranglemania talk is well and good? But she’s got a false monarch to depose of later tonight.
Rachel waggles her fingers at Bryan, turning on her heel and heading towards the locker room area as Bryan watches her leave before shrugging his shoulders and turning back to the camera.
Bryan Spade: Well… guys? Back to you.
MATCH FIVE
Lavender VS Saidie Sharpe
SINGLES
REF: Pierce Patterson
We return to ringside where the crew has just finished re-dressing the ring. Pierce Patterson is performing one final check over the ropes.
Martinez: 'ey, Loydson, are you ready for this? Former TV champion Lavender returns to Friday Night Rampage, with a huge opportunity to launch herself back into contention on the back of one of PRIME's hottest young stars; Saidie Sharpe.
Loydson: Sure. Can't wait. It has to be better than another Sharpe pity party.
Chriqui: The following match is for one fall Introducing first, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at one hundred and twenty pounds... SAIDIE SHARPE!!!
Pyros hit and "Greatest" by Sia begins to play. Saidie makes her way out to the ring and usually passes out some merch for a couple fans. She'll give them a thumbs up or a high five and then run the ropes waiting for her opponent.
Chriqui: And her opponent, from Parts Unknown, weighing in at one hundred and thirty two pounds ... LAVENDER!!!
The lights go out as 'Imaginary' by Evanescence begins to play. The lights flash in time to the guitar riff. The song kicks into its first verse as smoke billows from behind the curtains and a spotlight shined down upon the center of the stage. When the chorus kicks in the lights come back on and out walks Lavender. She looks out across the crowd as the crowd erupts into cheer. A smile creeps across her face as she embraces their warm welcome.
Lavender begins to make her way down to the ring. As Lavender reaches ringside she walks over to the steel steps, walks up them and enters the ring before climbing the nearest turnbuckle and holding her arms up high in the air. Lavender steps down from the turnbuckle and waits for the match to commence.
Martinez: I'm so pumped to see Lavender again! That entrance! Chills, every time. Rampage is thrilled to welcome her back, and I'm sure she hasn't missed a beat.
Loydson: She'd better not have. Sharpe's been in and out of title contention pretty routinely of late, just barely losing out to Scorpio for a guaranteed spot at Stranglemania. And after what Candy did to her uncle, she's coming in with a point to prove; she'll be hungry for a win here.
DING DING DING
Saidie lunges in with her guard up, bobbing and weaving as she tries to feint Lavender into an early mistake. The returning Rampage standout doesn't bite, backing off to her corner, hands on her hips, clearly countering with a psyche-out of her own. Sharpe is here to fight, and goes in with momentum that Lavender's quick to capitalize on, slipping out to drive her opponent shoulder-first into the turnbuckle, catching her on the rebound with a back suplex.
Lavender rises smoothly to her feet, while Saidie is a little slower to rise, shaking off birdies and stars. Her opponent beckons her on, and they circle one another before locking up. Taller and heavier, it's Lavender who seems to have the upper hand, and she knows it, smiling wickedly as she twists in a double wristlock. Saidie grits her teeth in pain, but fights back, pulling her larger foe in for a sharp knee to the midsection, then twisting herself free and stepping up into an enziguri that lands with a sharp, meaty smack. It's Lavender's turn to be stunned, but Sharpe isn't done; following up with a battle cry and the Best Saidie Palm Thrust! Pow, in the kisser!
Lavender lands propped on her elbows, swiping angrily at her mouth. Saidie smirks down at her, and imitates the early gesture, beckoning her on with both hands. That gets an eye-roll, as Lavender backpedals and pulls herself up warily on the ropes, still dabbing at her sore lip. They waste no more time, going for each other with mutual ferocity now, proceedings re-opened with a Japanese arm drag from the returning starlet. She tries to hold on for the armbar, but Saidie stacks her up with punches and counters with a beautiful tornado DDT off the middle rope, going straight for the cover...

TW-- KICKOUT!!
Lavender looks furious at the early cover, and snatches immediately for the previously escaped arm, dragging Saidie away from the ropes as they struggle. She falls back HARD, sinking in the submission, and for a moment it seems like a brutal, early finish; but Lavender gasses herself in the attempt, is forced to let go, and they rise together, Saidie nursing the ravaged arm. Having proverbially tasted blood, Lavender wants more, and grips the arm again, using it as the fulcrum point to send her opponent crashing into the corner, following up with a sprinting clothesline!
Far from done, Lavender lets Sharpe slither to a seated position and begins to stomp a mudhole through her, spitting and swearing to a decidedly mixed response from the crowd!
Martinez: Lavender is stomping a mudhole in Saidie.
Loydson: HECKEN FRICK YEA SISTA, THROW ME A WARM SODEY POP
With Saidie right where she wants her - battered, bruised, and momentarily unresponsive - Lavender brings her up and out of the corner with a butterfly suplex, floating over for a tidy, textbook cover, expression smug as she secures her opponent's right arm to the mat.

KICKOUT!
Blow for blow, cover for cover, and Sharpe is equally unwilling to yield in the early innings. She rolls to the apron, gasping, eyes bright with determination, as Lavender argues with Patterson, insisting it was a three-count. Saidie beseeches the crowd to get behind her, and they largely oblige - in spite of any brand loyalties, perhaps sensing an exciting shift in momentum. Sharpe claps her hands in the air, then gets a foot up onto the top rope, carefully measuring Lavender as she rises... and leaping into the ring with a twisting crossbody that lands clean.
She has too much momentum to fall straight into the cover, but is on her feet again before Lavender can re-situate herself, hitting the ropes at a clean sprint. Whipping back in with breakneck speed, Saidie goes for the Sparkling Witch-- NO! Lavender blocks it and falls onto her shoulders, forcing Sharpe to rocket past her. Into the ropes she goes again, and she's unable to put on the brakes. Lavender kips up, and turns to catch Saidie on the rebound with a huge Michinoku driver!

NO!
Saidie kicks out desperately and scrambles to the ropes, kicking back at Lavender as the other woman screams and tries to pull her back. Her boot lands precisely where her earlier palm thrust did, and splits the Rampage star's lip open. Lavender is furious; she pushes herself to a vertical base and simply CHARGES Saidie, who spins aside, wide-eyed, and assists her opponent into the ropes with a kick to the midsection, then whips her toward the other side of the ring.
This time it's Lavender who's caught on the rebound, Saidie criss-crossing her then slipping behind - evading an attempted lariat as she does so - to hook in the SaidTO! Lavender's spiked right into the mat, with an ugly sound that seems to leave her down for the count. Sensing a golden opportunity, Saidie pops to her feet and lunges at the corner post, going to the high rent district on shaking legs. She pauses, biting her bottom lip, looking back at Lavender...
And then hits a picture-perfect SaidieSault, right into the cover!

Loydson: OH MY, how did Lavender kick out!?
Martinez: I don't know, I thought that was it!
Both women are running on adrenaline now, finding their feet simultaneously. Saidie slams a palm across Lavender's cheek, then points at her jaw with the other hand. Lavender obliges the invitation with a searing roundhouse kick that stumbles Sharpe, but doesn't drop her - she actually laughs, and goes right into a second enziguri. Her opponent has it scouted, swats her out of the air, then leaps to come down with a double-footed stomp to the chest!
Saidie's breath explodes from her lungs, but she's fighting through the pain and confusion, rolling to all fours as Lavender struggles to isolate her for a pinning predicament. Desperately she lashes out at the first visible thing - a long, pale leg, the fragile knee joint - but her flailing arm is caught and she finds herself spun into a Magistral cradle.

Lavender is thrown half across the ring by the kickout, giving Saidie space to rise, face flushed, and dash straight at her. An attempted double leg is blocked by a sprawl, the taller woman using her attributes to her advantage once again, hitting several elbows to the back before Sharpe can find her way back out. Spacing it out perfectly, Lavender is able to follow up immediately with a rolling elbow that forces Saidie to one knee, grabbing her by the head and tossing her into the corner once more. Posturing to the crowd, she goes for her unassisted Poetry In Motion--
--and Sharpe eats every ounce of it. She's falling as Lavender bounces back to her feet, tossing her hair before she bends to retrieve her opponent, dragging her by a handful of hair back into the center of the ring. An arm raises, two fingers making a spiral in the air, and the crowd responds by chanting her name. There's a sly grin from Lavender, right before she seizes the arm she targeted earlier and whips Sharpe toward the ropes. She runs because she has to - it's that or eat shit.
Once more, the rebound. Once more, Lavender catches her prey. This time, it's for the Amity Affliction, the spinebuster practically drilling Saidie Sharpe clean through the mat as Lavender sits out with absolute authority. The pin is academic, and the Rampage fans count along:

Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall ... LAVENDER!!!
Saidie is down and out in the middle of the ring, and Lavender rises to her feet as though her opponent isn't even there, her arms raised before Patterson has a chance to do it himself. Preening herself in victory, Lavender moves to each turnbuckle in turn, posturing gamely for the crowd she hasn't seen in so long. They eat up every second of it.
Martinez: I don't know that we expected anything less. Rampage, Lavender is back home and kicking ass like she does best! Sharpe threw everything at her out there, but our girl was equal to the challenge and the fans couldn't be happier with this result, Loydson.
Loydson: I don't care what the fans think, but... yeah, she did good. Sharpe is a serious competitor and has nothing to be ashamed of. Tonight, Lavender was just that bit readier to fight. That's all it takes.
Camera cuts to ...
We go backstage where we see Michael Saint walking after a moment he is met with FNR Interviewer Brian Spade.
Spade: Michael Saint first welcome back to Rampage. Second why did you just interfere in that match with your sister and Jason Hunter.
Saint: Hey I was just doing what was right by my family. I made my sisters life hell last time she was here and I feel needed to tip the scales in her favor tonight.
Spade: You did just that, but it seems like you were not the only one looking to help out a family member.
Saint: Yes Ruth Hunter decided to get involved she did not leave well enough alone.
Spade: Well in her defense she was doing the exact same thing you were doing. She was well within her rights to help out her son.
Saint: I guess you could say that, but I do not agree. She poked the bear. She tugged on the cape of Superman when she attacked me and that is just not something I can stand for. I have a proposal for Ruthie. How about next Rampage we put her inside a Cage of Doom and match that she brought to EWC herself.
Spade: Against your sister Olivia is that such a good idea?
Saint: Oh no I have a much better opponent for her. This man is a current Hall of Famer. This man is a former multi time champion in EWC. One of the best ever.
Spade: So El Chupacabra?
Saint: No the person to take on Ruthie will be coming out of retirement for one last time to show the young people how it is done. That person is great. That person is magnificent. That person is Me! Next Rampage Michael Saint puts on the boots one more time and I will show why I was called the franchise in my time. Thank you and goodnight.
Michael walks away as we go to..
The scene opens with a shot of Your Hero and Mine standing in front of an FNR logo backdrop, his signature smirk crisping over his lips as he takes off his shades and places them in his jacket pocket.
Mark Storm: "Your Hero, and Mine, back in the Extreme Wrestling Corporation, where he belongs. Where he's always belonged but along the way, he was admittedly led astray. Years of potential - ultimately wasted here in the EWC, with years spent away because of that pillaging through other promotions trying to cement my name in the wrestling archives. There was once a time where a return seemed bleak, nothing but empty hope. But all roads, they always lead to the place you call home, and that's where you'll find me - inside the middle of the ring, every other Friday night representing Rampage!"
He pauses, nodding his head in approval as the fans from the main arena burst into a roar of cheers.
Mark Storm: "I'm back and I'm better, better than I've ever been in my entire career. I'm putting the whole roster on alert right now, not just Rampage, I'm talking to the guys and the gals on Brawl, Paramount and Prime too. I'm back not only to test myself against the very best, but to also stake my claim as the best wrestler in the world. If there's anyone who wants to dispute my claim, then I'd suggest you step up to the challenge and face me, cause I'll do it any day of the week if I have to. I'll come down to your brand and show you why they call me 'The Reckoning of Professional Wrestling'...
Storm places his glasses back on, his signature smirk once again on display, as the scene gradually fades to black.
MATCH SIX
Karver VS Megumi VS Mercenary
NO RULES TRIPLE THREAT
REF: Mike Michaelson
We return to ringside where.
Martinez: Mark Storm is back and better than ever... and up next, a triple threat that couldn't be better! It is to determine the next contender for the HBO Broadcast Championship. This could go fast folks, so don't you blink. We've got 3 legitimate sluggers in this match.
Loydson: Megumi may be smaller than Karver and Merc, but you're absolutely right. She could knock the paint of a barn with a spinning backfist, that joshi puroresu is no joke. But neither are Karver or Merc.
Chriqui: The following match is a triple threat match for the HBO Broadcast Championship #1 contendership. Introducing first from Hell's Kitchen, New York & weighing in at 212 pounds... KARVER!!!
"The Man Comes Around" by Johnny Cash fills the arena's speakers, bellowing Cash's guilty-sounding vocals into the ears of the fans. The feeling in the air is a sense of pride, as Karver enters through the back. His chin is to his chest as his eyes are shut, saying a final prayer in his head before looking up to the bright lights. He points a single finger in the air, dedicating this match to the friends, family, and loved ones he's lost in his life. It's time to get to business, as he enters the ring with intent to win.
To hear his name announced to those in attendance gives him motivation, and the fan's cheers is the ammo he needs to put a bullet in the win column. He wastes no time, running the ropes and testing their durability before the match begins.
Chriqui: And his opponent from Tokyo, Japan & weighing in at 130 pounds... MEGUMI!!!
The music hits and out walks Megumi. She stands the top of the walkway and throws her arms out. Blue and white streamers pour down on her. Megumi shakes free before making her way down the ramp with a smile on her face.
Chriqui: And their opponent from Knoxville Tn & weighing in at 365 pounds... MERCENARY!!!
Mercenary swaggers out onto the stage with his face hidden behind a hard tactical mask painted to look like The Punisher's iconic skull logo. His eyes inside the mask scan the crowd. He crosses both arms, gloved fists clenched, across his chest and under his chin. The pose resembles a skull and crossbones. To either side of him the stage explodes in motes of red and orange flame. The fans sing along as the song comes to its chorus:
Stand Up and FIGHT!
And I'll Stand Up with you.
We shall succeed.
STAND UP AND FIGHT!
AND I'LL STAND UP WITH YOU!
And I'll Stand Up with you.
We shall succeed.
STAND UP AND FIGHT!
AND I'LL STAND UP WITH YOU!
Removing the mask the big man salutes the crowd and stalks towards the ring at a steady pace filled with menace and a deadly purpose he climbs between the ropes and walks to the corner where he throws a few shadow punch combos at the turnbuckle before turning with his back to the corner, his arms crossed again across his chest to glower in his opponent's direction and wait for the bell to give him the sign to come out swinging.
Martinez: Karver has some doubts about his own ability, but this match is how he can prove his stuff. Megumi struggled on PRIME, but this could be her chance to break big.
Loydson: And Merc has that briefcase, but now he's focused on winning this and taking that HBO Broadcast Championship.
DING DING DING
Karver and Merc step towards each other. Merc gives Karver his chin and smiles. Karver pulls back and pops Merc in the chin with a jab. Merc grabs Karver's head and brings him down into a series of knee strikes. Merc shoves Karver back, but is shocked when Karver jumps into a big-boot that sends Merc back a few feet. Merc lunges into his own big-boot, but Karver side-steps it and goes for a kitchen-sink but neither Karver nor Merc saw Megumi rush up from the side and jump into a double dropkick to Karver's head and Merc's shoulder! Karver hits the deck, Merc is mostly unmoved. He turns to advance on Megumi, but a dropkick to his knee drops him and gives Megumi the opening to jump into a hurricanrana! Merc stops Megumi's momentum and gets to his feet before dropping her on her head with a powerbomb.
Martinez: OH MY GOD!
Loydson: Megumi may be out of this one!
Karver comes up from behind Merc and hits a kitchen sink into the small of his back, Merc topples forward grabbing at his back. Karver rolls Merc onto his back and mounts him for a Thesz Press, landing punches and slaps and headbutts. Megumi crawls to the ropes and pulls herself up, she's got a gash on the back of her head that is bleeding heavily. Megumi stumbles a bit, but seeing opportunity she rushes Karver and lands a shining wizard kick! Megumi goes for the cover on Merc, but he powers out at 1 before getting back to his feet! Megumi kicks Merc in the knee and jumps up into a knee into Merc's jaw! Merc stumbles back, and Megumi advances! Merc catches Megumi's momentum into a black hole slam! Karver spins Merc around and lands a headbutt. Merc stumbles backwards, but jumps into a punch into Karver's mouth! Merc takes-a-back, grabs Karver in a full-nelson and pulls that back into a snap dragon suplex! Karver rolls up to his feet, and shrugs off the pain to rush Merc and smash a big-boot right into his big face! Merc stumbles backwards, right over the top rope before crashing hard to the padded concrete!
Loydson: Karver has his opening, he can pin Megumi and win this match!
Martinez: I think Merc is out on the outside.
Karver drags Megumi up into a piledriver, spiking her on the top of her head. Karver goes for the cover.

Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall and the #1 contender to the HBO Broadcast Championship... KARVER!!!
Karver gets off Megumi and gets his hand raised. He almost seems shocked he pulled it off. On the outside, Merc punches the apron. Medical staff are quick into the ring checking Megumi, who is still out cold. Karver helps medical staff carry Megumi to the back without a second thought while Merc watches Karver leave, a look of anger on his face.
Martinez: Karver may have won the match, but I think Merc wants a war.
Loydson: And Megumi may have been the first causality of that war. We'll let you know if we hear any updates.
Martinez: Don't you go anywhere folks, we've got more EXTREME coming your way!

We return to ringside, where the opponents involved in the triple threat match have now left the ring. ‘Indestructible’ by Disturbed blares over the PA and earns a pop from the crowd. Sam walks down the ramp, accompanied only by her husband, Joseph “Orion” Hunter. She raises her arm, revealing it has a mic in it.
Joseph helps open the ropes for his wife. Sam gives Orion a quick kiss on the lips before stepping through and entering the ring.
Hamilton: Hello, Columbia! I’m home!
The crowd cheers loudly again. Sam smiles happily, basking in the audience’s response for a few moments before speaking up.
Hamilton: Alas, I did come here to do more than just simply talk. Behind the scenes, I have been thinking. Specifically, for a stipulation for Stranglemania. So … Darna Dare? Come out and join me, please. I want you to hear this yourself.
No sooner than Sam finishes her sentence do we hear ‘Lost In Wars’ play over the PA system. Darna walks out, looking very eager to hear what The Titaness has to say. She quickly enters the ring, standing mere inches away from Sam. Right as The Titaness opens her lips, however, another song starts up.
The Gauntlet by The Dropkick Murphys starts to play over the P.A. pulling Sam and Darna’s attention to the top of the ramp. From the back Mercenary walks onto the stage, still showing the battle scars from his hard fight with Megumi and Karver earlier in the evening. Despite the cuts and bruises he smiles down at the pair in the ring and waits for the music to die down before he raises the microphone that he holds in his hand.
Mercenary: Well, here we are again. It’s Friday Night in Columbia and so far it’s been a pretty nice night here in South Carolina.
Mentioning the city and the state earns him the cheap pop which makes him chuckle.
Mercenary: Earlier tonight, after one HELL of a fight, I am standing here with my briefcase.
Fans again interrupt with cheers.
Mercenary: Yup. I done went and got myself another title opportunity. Put that together with my win at Wrestlefest and man don’t my cup just runneth over? You know standing up here, seeing you two lovely ladies in the ring, I’m reminded of a time when I couldn’t imagine ever sharing that ring with either of you. You see way back when I started in the EWC I was still real old school in my way of thinking. In my mind a real man would never hit a woman. I hated the idea of inter-gender wrestling. I was dead set against it. Then I got booked against Melody Malone in her very first match and she smartened me up real damn quick. Because the times they are a’changing and while I still won’t hit a woman outside that ring I’ve been taught by the likes of Queen Melody, Candy, Gabi Vee and especially our reigning United States Champion that I best be ready to do it once the bell rings because they sure as hell are gonna hit me.
Now Darna, you and I have never met before but I’m sure you’re just as tough as all those other names I just dropped. You have to be pretty tough to be the Number 1 contender to The Titaness. Which makes me sorry to have to tell you that being Number 1 don’t necessarily make you the next in line.
The fans give this revelation a mixed reaction.
Mercenary: You see at Wrestlefest I won me this briefcase… well, HALF a briefcase really, that gives me the right to fight for that title any time I want to. Well, as it turns out, I’ve decided I WANT TO. Sam owes me a match and I’ve got a contract. So at Stranglemania I’M CASHING IN!
Darna looks miffed. Sam, meanwhile, nods and begins slowly pacing. She eventually leans against the ropes and looks down at Merc, giving him a wave and smile first before speaking up.
Hamilton: Heya Merc! It’s been a hot minute, hasn’t it? Now … you know damn well I have zero problems with you as a wrestler. There is, however, one thing I have with this announcement, and it’s the timing of it. Personally, I do think you could be a damn good United States Champion. I sincerely mean that, too. That said … I do acknowledge that, yes, you did win at WrestleFest, but …
Sam gestures between him and Darna.
Hamilton: There does need to be some sort of order in place, you know? Now .. if this is going down the path of a Triple Threat, I personally say bring it, but this sorta thing isn’t my job. It’s Duggan’s.
Duggan: Did someone call me?
Grizzly Duggan walks out onto the stage to a loud pop from the crowd happy to see their ‘hometown hero’. Grizzly Duggan lets the crowd settle down a bit before beginning.
Duggan: You know, I love the sound of a triple threat. Mercenary lost tonight to Karver, but I think he showed some real fire in his belly and now he’s cashing in? OOOH, I LOVE IT. You know what sounds good to me folks? I think next week, the main event will be Darna Dare Vs Merc… and Sam, you get to be the guest ref. And then at StrangleMania, it will be Sam defending her United States Championship against #1 contender Darna Dare & Mercenary via his cash in. And because the odds are stacked against Sam, I’ll even let her name the stipulation for Mania.
Sam nods, clapping in approval while taking the information in. A grin crosses her face as she glances back between Mercenary and Darna Dare.
Hamilton: Well Merc and Darna … you both will have to almost literally kill me for this. Luckily for you, the stipulation I’ve decided on will give you that opportunity. At Stranglemania … you two will fight …
Sam purposely pauses for a few more seconds before raising the mic back up to her lips.
Hamilton: In a Light Tubes Death Match! Until Stranglemania arrives, I’ll see you guys in two weeks, and don’t worry. No biased from me as a referee. It’ll be a clean match, and whoever wins … will have earned it. That’s all there is to it.
MATCH SEVEN
King Flip VS Queen Melody Malone
SINGLES
REF: Pierce Patterson
We return to ringside where Chriqui stands ready to announce the next bout.
Martinez: We learned earlier tonight Melody Malone will represent RAMPAGE at Mania in her journey towards the Golden Ticket... but for now, she represents RAMPAGE AND her undefeated streak against BRAWLs King Flip!
Loydson: All hail our queen!
Chriqui: The following match is a match. Introducing first, making his way to the ring accompanied by his manager Chanel, hailing from the land of money and fame, weighing in at 220 pounds... Kiiiing Flip!
K I N G F L I P zooms from right to left across the X-Tron and is followed swiftly by a small pyro. 'Machinegun' begins to play as the man in the hooded vest, head low, emerges from the curtain with Chanel in tow. He gets to the edge of the rampway when he lifts his hood to reveal that arrogant half smile. The lyrics chime in as he walks slowly down the ramp with his eyes locked in on the ring. He slides into the ring and leans against the turnbuckle with arms agape as his theme plays. He turns to the stage / his opponent ready for the action to start as his theme fades.
Chriqui: And his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Rory, from San Diego, California, weighing in at 145 pounds... She is the Queen of EWC... MELODY MAAALOOONE!!!
The lights dim, but don’t go dark before the soft words of Billie Eilish’s “You Should See Me In A Crown” begin to play over the P.A. system. Melody comes out from backstage with her crown upon her head and her personal retainer Rory Hyland in tow. She’s unflinching to the crowd’s expression as she comes down the entrance ramp. Rory gets onto the apron, holding the ropes open for Melody to climb through without losing her crown. As Melody climbs into the ring, she gives the crowd a sarcastic smile before she relinquishes the crown to Rory and prepares for her match.
Martinez: Melody Malone is on an undefeated streak so far this year, but Flip did beat the US #1 contender last week. This match will be interesting!
Loydson: ALL HAIL THE QUEEN.
DING DING DING
The two exchange an arm drag each, then another as they circle the ring. Melody ducks a flying lariat from Flip. Just as he spins in the air and lands on his feet, he barely evades a superkick aimed straight for his chin. The King rolls to the left and returns to a standing position. Both go for a dropkick simultaneously and miss their purchase. The fans show their appreciation as both get to their feet once again. The two give one another a nod before locking up in the center of the ring. The Queen braces down and clenches in a headlock. Flip attempts to push her off but he can't seem to break her hold. He nails a few right hands to the midsection and goes for another shove. Melody leaps into it, arms still clasped around her opponents head, and kicks off the ropes into a springboard bulldog. But the King holds her weight up. Melody loosens her grip when she realizes she's in the grips of her opponent. He spins her around a couple times to disorient her, then launches her out of the ring into the ready arms of Rory. He stumbles into Chanel, who was in position on all fours, and stumbles into the guardrail. The referee has decided to start a count.

As the Queen and Rory get to their feet and Chanel gets to the opposite side of the ring, Flip has run to the opposite ropes and is now launching himself into a suicide dive. Melody barely gets out of the way. Rory eats the dive by himself and both men go crashing over the guardrail into the front row. The referee now has to restart his count.

Flip confers with his manager. It seems they're cooking up some sort of plan before he nods and slides back into the ring, straight into some stiff boots to the back and neck from the Queen. She's able to keep him down in the center of the ring long enough to turn around and deliver a standing moonsault right onto his back. Melody stands over him for a moment, then begins to position herself for the Queen's Exile. The Ol' CHK barely pulls himself forward in time to send her barreling toward the ropes. He rolls and grabs for his shoulder to get the attention of the referee as Malone stops herself with the ropes before nearly toppling through them out of the ring. She stops herself right in front of Chanel who waves before wildly swinging. SMACK! The collision of Chanel's open palm to the face of the Queen echoes throughout the arena and is following by an 'oooh' from the crowd. The Queen doesn't look like she's going to tolerate the disrespect. However, before she can go running toward the manager, Flip miraculously stops his feigned pains and snags Melody by the tights for a school boy roll up. The referee is out of position and Flip is able to get his feet on the second rope for leverage.

Loydson: ALL HAIL THE QUEEN
Martinez: That was a hell of a kickout from Melody Malone!
Rory begins chasing Chanel around the ring, tired of the interjections. He seems to be catching up as she runs up the ramp and he follows her all the way through the curtain. The two competitors in the ring seem to be exchanging words, Melody less than amused with Flip's tactics throughout the bout. He seems to shrug before saying something and motioning toward his tights. He mocks pulling them up and, whatever he's saying, it seems to have crossed a line. Malone guns for Flip and the two barrel right into the corner where the referee was standing. The sandwich the guy into the turnbuckle as everyone's heads seem to collide with one another. Melody falls back and rolls to her feet with a hand on her forehead. Flip stumbles to the side, barely able to keep himself up via the ropes. The referee flops to the ground. Once again Melody leaps at Flip with a superkick. This time it connects and the King bounces over the top rope and topples to the thinly-padded concrete. Malone is about to slide out of the ring when the X-Tron fires up. You can hear Rory howling in pain, grabbing his elbow. The camera pans over to show Chanel with Flip's barbed wire wrapped baseball bat, which she has apparently used against the big man and is heading toward the ring. Melody welcomes her to come, standing in the center of the ring with her eyes on the curtain. Flip pulls himself up after rummaging underneath the ring for a second and slides into the ring with the gold-plated steel chair, Melody Malone's weapon of choice. She turns around. CRACK! Flip catches the Queen off-guard with a wild swing of the weapon without realizing the referee was getting back to his feet. He sees the assault and calls for the bell!
DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winner, via DISQUALIFICATION ... QUEEN MELODY MALONE!!!
King Flip looks at the ref in complete shock, before turning to a smirking Malone. Flip brings the chair down cracking Malone again. He goes for another shot, but referees pull him back and drag him to the locker-rooms. Malone smiles as a single stream of blood drips down her forehead.
Martinez: Melody Malone's streak continues, but at what cost?!
Loydson: Who cares, she won!
Martinez: Don't go anywhere, we've got just one ad break left in the show!
Camera cuts to ...
Short Change Hero by The Heavy begins to play through the speakers and the lights in the arena simultaneously dim down. Smoke begins to rise from the top of the stage and appearing on the screen above are the following words;
A massive pop ensues as emerging from the back is Your Hero and Mine, Mark Storm; who keeps himself composed as he stands at the top of the entrance ramp. He can't help but allow his sadistic signature smirk to appear upon his lips as he closes his eyes and spreads his arms out wide, soaking in the energy that the audience are giving him as they applaud and cheer.
Martinez: Ladies and Gentlemen, we've seen the promo's and the vignettes that have been surging through the media over the last few weeks, and finally, Your Hero and Mine, has returned to the Extreme Wrestling Corporation!
Loydson: A former EWC World Heavyweight Champion, a former EWC World Tag Team Champion as a member of Project CHAOS, we're not just talking about any wrestler who has walked in and out of the door here in EWC, we're talking about a man who has main evented numerous shows against the likes of Xplode, Luke Wolfe, and Shadow Man - three hall of famers in this company!
Martinez: You're damn right Phil and the fans here are making it crystal clear that they're glad to see Mark Storm back in the EWC.
He begins his walk down the entrance ramp, with a leather coat completing his attire as he comes down the entrance ramp. The fans sing along with the chorus as it plays through the arena.
"This ain't no place for no hero.
This ain't no place for no better man.
This ain't no place for no hero
To call "home."
This ain't no place for no better man.
This ain't no place for no hero
To call "home."
Martinez: A heroes welcome for Your Hero and Mine, only seems fitting for a man who's spent the majority of his time in the EWC on the Rampage brand.
Loydson: We also can't forget, Storm did return last year at the season premiere of Brawl where he would come up short against King Flip. Storm never returned after that match and his contract was ultimately terminated.
Martinez: That's right Phil, and despite Storm's accolades and accomplishments here in the EWC, it does seem to me that Storm has always been a man who's never really lived up to the expectations that were set following his impressive initial stint here in 2015.
Loydson: That's something that Mark Storm will be looking to correct this time around, and I'm here for it!
At this point, Storm is by the edge of the ring; allowing a smile to embed on his face before he jumps onto the apron and holds onto the ropes, using them to help himself up onto the turnbuckle. He's grinning from ear to ear, soaking in the rest of the cheers coming from the audience, shaking his head sideways as he lowers it, before jumping into the ring. Storm nods his head approvingly as he waltzes around the ring, throwing his arms up in the air as he amps up the audience, who roar and applaud back in response. His theme song slowly begins to diminish, and as it does so, a microphone is passed from the outside of the ring to Storm.
"YOU'RE OUR HERO!" --- "YOU'RE OUR HERO!" --- "YOU'RE OUR HERO!"
Storm: "January 29th, 2015. That was the day I signed my first contract here in the EWC. I remember getting a call from President Mac, the man himself. I remember him telling me, like it was yesterday, that this was an opportunity of a lifetime and that I had to grab it with both hands. No one knew who I was back then. I was just some kid from the indies who managed to gain a little reputation for being a bit of a loose cannon. Fast forward a few months down the line, it's March 29th, it's Stranglemania X - the grandest stages of them all - live from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome New Orleans, Louisiana... and that kid who walked into this company from the bingo halls, that no one gave a damn about, became the EWC World Heavyweight Champion. 260 days I held onto that title, and I swear to God, those eight months were the best eight months of my career, representing this brand as the premier champion, nobody could touch me!"
Applause ring through the arena, forcing Storm to come to a halt for a moment or so.
Storm: "A year later, it's March 27th, it's Stranglemania XI - live from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas - but this time round, it's not just one match that I'm competing in. No, in 2016 I was doing the double shift, first as part of Project CHAOS in the Insanity Cage Tag Team Championship match and then later on in the night, a last man's standing match to determine the number one contender to the Undisputed Championship. Standing across the ring from me on that occasion, an EWC Hall of Famer in Luke Wolfe. And not only did I make it through the insanity cage to become the EWC World Tag Team Champion, I also managed to outlast Luke Wolfe - picking up two wins in one night. I haven't competed in Stranglemania since then but it's come to my attention, we're only a few weeks away from the grandest stages of then all... and if history has taught us anything, it's that Stranglemania belongs to Your Hero, and Mine! I don't care who I have to face, I don't care who I have to put down - the fact of the matter is Stranglemania has become embedded in me and there's no way in hell I'm missing it this year. March 28th 2022, its Stranglemania XVII, live from the Narendra Modi Stadium, India - Your Hero and Mine, will repeat history once again and stand victorious."
Short Change Hero by The Heavy plays through the arena as Storm drops his microphone, propelling himself onto the top rope and posing for the fans.
MATCH EIGHT
"The Love Child" Jamie Love VS Phoenix Winterborn
LADDER WAR FOR HBO BROADCAST CHAMPIONSHIP - 1st Defense Of 3rd Champion
REF: Toyo Yasahiro
We head back to the announce desk
Martinez: Big word from Storm, and now up next is our HBO Broadcast Championship match! Phoenix Winterborn is making his first defense against long-time rival Jamie Love.
Loydson: This will be a brutal back and forth war, thus the name.
Chriqui: The following match is a LADDER WAAAAAR match for the HBO Broadcast Championship. Introducing first, per request... from CHICAGO, ILLINOIS & weighing in at 223 pounds. The HBO Broadcast Champion... PHOENIX WINTERBORN!!!
The chorus of the song kicks in, as Phoenix throws back the hood of his sleeveless jacket, pointing out towards the crowd, who is in the midst of racous cheers for him. Marissa Davidson appears by his side, resting a hand on his shoulder, her other hand running through her hair as the duo make their way towards the ring, interacting with the fans scattered along the rampway. As Phoenix hops up onto the apron, he waits for Marissa to climb the ringside steps before sitting on the middle rope to let her in, before rolling in himself and running towards the opposite turnbuckle, throwing him arms out for the crowd while his music dies down. The HBO Broadcast Championship sits proudly around his waist.
Chriqui: And his opponent from Takayama, Japan & weighing in at 120 pounds... JAMIE LOVE!!!
'Never Die' – All Good Things sounds off on the loud speakers and the crowd awaits Jamie Love... who isn't coming down the ramp. Winterborn cocks his head in puzzlement when Jamie Love comes up from behind the ring, quickly climbing a 15 foot ladder and jumping into the ring with a double dropkick to Winterborn and Marissa!!!
Martinez: I guess the ladder war has began!
Loydson: Oh boy.
DING DING DING
Winterborn pulls himself up to his feet on the ropes, Jamie Love rushes over and hits a lariat on Winterborn dropping him to the outside! Jamie climbs out onto the apron, Winterborn pulls himself to his feet... DROPKICK TO THE BACK OF WINTERBORN'S HEAD! Jamie drags Winterborn up and Irish-whips him into the barricade, before running into him with another dropkick! Jamie lets out a yell and beats his chest. Winterborn might be out of it already!!! Jamie Love drags Winterborn up and Irish-whips him into a 12 foot ladder. Winterborn smashes his head and then stumbles backwards into a Jamie Love sleeper hold! Phoenix Winterborn powers Jamie up into a Fireman's Carry, he spins Jamie down into a side-suplex and then pulls back into a Falcon Arrow!
Martinez: That counter may have just saved Winterborn's title reign.
Loydson: But this war has only just started!
Winterborn pulls himself up, but Jamie is already on his feet and push-kicks him backwards into the ladder. Jamie spins into an elbow strike but Winterborn moves! Jamie yells out in pain as his elbow splits open against the ladders frame and begins to gush blood. Winterborn crawls away, trying to get a breather. Jamie shakes feeling back into his arm, steps up onto the ladder and jumps into a spin and drops the elbow right on the small of Winterborn's back! Jamie goes under the ring and retrieves a 3 foot ladder, he picks it up like a chair and smashes it down against Winterborn's back! Twice, three times... Jamie hooks Winterborn's arm in the ladder and Kinboshi No Miro! Winterborn yells out in pain, he taps, he taps... but this isn't a normal match, Jamie laughs as he keeps the hold locked on for thirty full seconds. Jamie drops the hold, grabs the 12 foot ladder and slides it into the ring, he follows after it. Jamie sets the ladder up and begins his climb, up one rung, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve. The top rung, Jamie grabs the title. But the ladder begins to wobble, the ladder falls down! Phoenix sav... NO! Jamie is holding the title midair trying to unhook it! Winterborn rushes to the corner, without thinking he leaps at Jamie, Winterborn grabs Jamie's legs and pulls him down into a hybrid of a spinebuster and a spear!!! Winterborn's own face smashes against the canvas, and he rolls out of the ring grabbing at his nose. Jamie Love is out in the center of the ring, his elbow beginning to leave a pool of blood.
Loydson: Dear god...
Martinez: Holy heavens...
Winterborn pulls himself up, screaming out in agony. He rolls into the ring and grabs Jamie Love by the hair. Winterborn drags Jamie up into a Full-nelson... Winterborn rips Jamie backwards into snap-dragon suplex! Jamie lands on his feet! Dropkick to the back of Winterborn's head! Jamie grabs Winterborn's ear and pulls him out of the ring and then up the ramp with an Irish-whip using Winterborn's ear. Jamie grabs a 10 foot ladder and drags it up the ramp, he throws it down on Winterborn's face. Jamie goes back to the ring and retrieves a table that has a glass pane duct taped to it! Jamie drags the glass table up the ramp, kicking Winterborn in the mouth as he passes him, and down the steps. Jamie kisses the glass and climbs back onto the stage... Winterborn smashes a chair in Jamie's face! Winterborn goes for another chair smash, but Jamie Love blocks the chair with a spinning elbow, using his numb elbow to absorb the blow. Jamie spins the opposite way and catches Winterborn between his eyes with his other elbow. Winterborn falls off the ramp by the table. Jamie jumps down and places Winterborn on the table. Jamie says a prayer and then pulls himself up onto the stage.
Martinez: DON'T DO IT! DEAR GOD!!!
Loydson: THINK ABOUT YOUR CAREER YOU FUCKING DIPSHIT!
Jamie Love climbs the ladder up to the eight rung, looks up to the heavens and then leaps with a flying splash! OH MY GOD, WINTERBORN MOVES! HE MOVES! Jamie crashes into glass and wood, OH MY GOD. Winterborn gets to his feet in a flash and drags Jamie up into a full-nelson, SNAP-DRAGON INTO THE GLASS! Winterborn drags Jamie up, ANOTHER! AND ANOTHER! AND ANOTHER! AND A FIFTH SNAP-DRAGON! Winterborn jumps up and rolls onto the stage. Winterborn takes off towards the ring, tripping over his own feet and falling and rolling down. Winterborn drags himself up the apron, crawls to the ladder and sets it up. Winterborn crawls up the ladder. One rung, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, ooooh, almost falls but catches himself! Twelfth rung... Winterborn grabs the title, HES GOT IT! HES GOT IT!
DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winner, and STILL HBO Broadcast Champion ... PHOENIX WINTERBORN!!!
Phoenix Winterborn falls off the ladder, crashing to the canvas while holding his title closer than he's ever held anything in his life. Jamie Love is a bloody mess laying in broken glass, medical staff come check him and help him to the back through the side door behind the ramp. Marissa finally wakes up from the dropkick and screams at the broken bloody Winterborn laying unconscious in the ring, holding his title for dear life. Medical staff help Winterborn up and out through an exit by the crowd.
Martinez: We knew it was a ladder war... we knew they hated each other... but I never... Congrats Phoenix but, at what cost?
Loydson: This is a match neither man will ever forget.
Martinez: Now we head backstage, before another match some people will never forget!
Camera cuts to ...
The camera cuts backstage inside the Colonial Life Arena where we find Rampage’s own Brian Spade. He walks up to The Love Club’s locker room and gives the door a knock. He waits for a second and then the door opens, he was sort of expecting to see Bunny Love but to his surprise it’s ‘The Memphis Mouthpiece’ Tommy Love that opens the door. Tommy looks at Brian for a moment before blurting out
Tommy Love: What the hell do you want?
Brian looks at Tommy for a moment, hoping he ‘gets’ why he’s there but after Tommy shrugs his shoulders Brian is forced to engage
Brian Spade: I’m here for Bunny…
Tommy looks at him and laughs
Tommy Love: My daughter has higher standards than you Spade…beat it!!!
Tommy goes to close the door but someone behind him grabs the door, not allowing him to slam it in the face of Brian Spade. The door open is fully pulled open and there standing next to Tommy is Bunny Love
Bunny Love: Don’t mind him…he’s just here to make sure I don’t try and claim up the scaffolding tonight to help Bobby and Jimmy like he did in this very arena back in 84’...
Brian grimaces thinking about Tommy’s knee buckling and him tearing everything in it that legendary night at CCW’s Summer Stampede
Brian Spade: That might have been the worst thing I’ve ever seen…
But Tommy cuts him off
Tommy Love: YEAH, trying living through that. My knee still gives me issues and I was right in the middle of telling my daughter under NO CIRCUMSTANCES is she to climb up that ladder to that scaffolding to help our boys…El Pablo and Ace King seem like nice guys but they would toss her ass off that scaffolding without a second thought…
Brian Spade: Now come on Tommy, Ace and Pablo…
Tommy Love: Want to win, they want to show the EWC that they are still a formidable tag team and will toss her off if she stands in their way…
There is laughter coming from behind the Love’s as Bobby Rose and Jimmy Lane join the father/daughter duo
Bobby Rose: I’m sure Pablo thinks, like cats, that ‘bunnies’ will always land on their feet…
Jimmy Lane: I mean there is really only one way to find out right…
Jimmy picks up Bunny and acts like he’s going to toss her before putting her down laughing
Bobby Rose: Relax Tommy, we told Bunny to stay grounded…
Jimmy Lane: This was our idea and our match to fight…we don’t need another Love to go all ‘Snap, Crackle, Pop’ on our watch…
Bobby Rose: Now I know Ace and Pablo are feeling themselves…
Jimmy Lane: We heard them speak about the match and not shockingly…
Bunny Love: They played the ‘we were pinned’ card to explain their first loss to us…
Jimmy Lane: More like called our integrity in question for pinning Carrie Samson and not one of the champs but correctly if I’m wrong the objective was to win the match…not pin the champs…
Bobby smiles and pats his tag partner on the shoulder
Bobby Rose: It’s ok Jimmy…we got the win and that’s all that matters…just like we did at StrangleMania and just like we assumed Ace and Pablo were fixated on our loss to Eleos Affect and saw it as the beginning of the end for us…completely ignoring the fact they are on a TWO MATCH LOSING STREAK!!!
Jimmy Lane: Convenient…
Bobby Rose: But despite all the negativity we are excited for them match, like we said we were hoping it would be them and we look forward to this match here tonight…and would love nothing more than popping our Rampage cherry with a win over Ace King and El Pablo right here in Columbia, South Carolina…
There is a pop from the crowd inside the arena
Bunny Love: And Ace…
Bunny looks into the camera and smiles
Bunny Love: We know exactly what we are up against here tonight, we don’t need to consult Samantha nor do I need to remind YOU that in the last 5 matches against the Love Club you are 1-4…us, Xavier, us and Killjoy…but relish in your win against Samantha…
Bobby Rose: Ok come on, tonight should be a celebration, this match is worthy of a ppv and we are giving it away to the subscribers of HBO for the low low price of $9.99…
Jimmy Lane: Oh we are going to celebrate alright, by throwing Ace and Pablo off that scaffolding…
Bobby Rose: Rustin’ Roulette may in fact be the team that takes the baton as the premier tag team when we hand up our boots but we aren’t done here yet…
Jimmy Lane: WE AREN’T DEAD YET BOYS!!!
Bobby Rose: We proved at WrestleFest that we aren’t ready to be replaced as ‘THE’ tag team here in the EWC or in this business as a hole…
Jimmy Lane: We showed at WrestleFest that we are the BEST X-Division tag team and tonight…we take things up a notch…25 feet up in the air…
Bobby Rose: Tonight the SKYWALKERS return to Columbia, South Carolina as part of The Southern Express Farewell Tour…
Jimmy Lane: May the force be with us all!!!
Bobby and Jimmy smirk as they push past The Love’s and Brian Spade as Bunny runs off to join them

NON-TITLE SCAFFOLDING MATCH
REF: Toyo Yasahiro
We return to ringside where Toyo Yasahiro is glancing warily up at the towering structure built over the ring for tonight's main event. Fully two storeys high on elevated scaffold poles, the platform itself looks dangerous enough; the piled tables below assure anyone scaling the structure that they're coming down one of two ways, and at least one ends in hospital.
Martinez: YEAH BOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIII! Someone is getting wrecked out here tonight, Loydson! The scaffolding has been erected, and our four competitors should be very, very scared. At least two of them are going to fall twenty five feet, through tables, into that ring, because to win this, either team has to eliminate both of the other competitors! This is going to be wild!
Loydson: Let's hope the scaffold's the only thing that's erect, Martinez, this is the Southern Express we're talking about. My money's on them, though. Experience is what counts here. It's a long way down for these young, stupid risk takers. They only get to make one mistake.
Chriqui: The following match is a scaffold match!
It has to start somewhere, it has to start sometime
What better place than here, what better time than now?
The blistering opening riff to 'Guerrilla Radio' starts up, and the arena lights all turn green as Ace King and El Pablo slowly rise up from a platform, which levels out as the first cymbal crash occurs, which then triggers crazy rainbow strobe lights throughout the Colonial Life Arena.
Chriqui: Making their way to the ring, at a combined weight of four hundred and fifteen pounds ... 'The Gambler' Ace King and 'The Technicolor Tecnico' El Pablo ... RUSHINNNNNN' ROULETTE!!!
The two men take a moment to appreciate the boisterous crowd surrounding them, then start to make their way down to the ring. They throw small packs of Skittles out into the crowd, then leap onto the apron, framed beneath the towering stack of tables. This triggers Skittle cannons shooting out from all four turnbuckles. EP and Ace point upward, and go to separate sides to begin climbing the scaffold. Pablo is the faster, and offers a hand to pull his partner onto the platform, before handing him a bag of Skittles, already opened. Ace puffs out his cheeks, shakes his head, but exchanges a 'Cheers' before downing them Stone Cold-style to the roar of the crowd.
Martinez: It's fair to say that Ace King is the Man of the Year here at EWC, because that's almost literally the name of one of the MANY honors he received in January!
Loydson: But I guess we'd have our pay docked if we didn't mention El Pablo, the reigning X-Division champion despite stiff competition, and that together Rushin' Roulette laid claim to the most multi-person wins over the entirety of our last season. Two decorated individuals, right here.
Chriqui: And their opponents...
The electric guitar kicks in to 'Stranglehold' as the crowd gets to their feet, some of the older females in the crowd start to scream like they did when they were younger as Bunny Love walks out onto the stage and is quickly followed by Bobby Rose and Jimmy Lane.
Chriqui: Being accompanied to the ring by Bunny Love, from Nashville, Tennessee, they are the EWC Tag Team Champions of the World ... Bobby Rose and Jimmy Lane ... THE SOUTHERN EXPRESS!!!
Bunny leads the way as the pair reach out and high five with the fans as the walk to the ring, Bunny marches up the steps and stops dead, staring distastefully at the stack of tables inside the ring. Bobby and Jimmy laugh, high-five, and then pick her up, marching her over to one of the ladders leading up the scaffold. Wide-eyed, she panic-flails down from their grasp and emphatically steps AWAY from the ladder, commanding both of them to start climbing instead. Grinning at each other, they take off the titles and hand them to Bunny before making their own way up the scaffold, one behind the other. Bobby absolutely rips a fart on Jimmy as they climb.
Martinez: What can we even say, folks? THE Southern Express, the winningest team we have ever seen in the EWC, our reigning tag team champions embarking on one final season before they call it quits. And what a way to kick off their retirement! They could die, Loydson!!
Loydson: You're damn right. And this would be one of the few times I'd care! Two of the greatest men to ever wear trunks and roll around getting sweaty with other men, and that's a highly-contested field, Martinez. They're backed up by Bunny Love, one of the smartest and most refined managers in the entire business. You think they could die? How about Rushin' Roulette?
DING DING DING
El Pablo certainly shows no fear as the high-scale bout opens, screaming like a lunatic as he takes off across the rickety platform. Bobby and Jimmy actually hesitate, and allow the daredevil tecnico to hit the pair of them with a corkscrew crossbody that sets the structure to vibratin', and pitches Pablo into an ill-advised tumble. He comes up in a crouch, his arms raised, the crowd echoing his vigorous, "¡Olé!", before starting a chant for Rushin' Roulette.
Ace King stops facepalming and makes his own way across the scaffold, his own acknowledgement of the showboating a faux-tightrope walk, his hands wavering out to either side, a smile on his lips in spite of the readily-apparent danger of the situation. Pablo turns to join his partner in assaulting the rising Southern Express, Ace locking into a hockey fight with Lane as the younger Volando takes on Rose. A straight brawl somewhat favors the wily veterans, who get the upper hand with an eye rake and a kick to the gut, respectively. Lane then pulls King into the suplex position, as Bobby Rose winks cheerfully to the crowd and takes a back-to-back tumble over El Pablo.
The crowd pops huge as Lane turns and drops Ace backfirst into the platform on precisely the same beat that Rose launches a dropkick into Pablo's shapely tush! The luchador is launched toward the edge of the shuddering scaffold, eyes WIDE in their mask sockets as he finds himself clearing the edge. Wildly he scrambles to turn in mid-air, managing to catch the top rung by a whisker!
Martinez: That was close!
Loydson: Dangerously close.
Southern Express pause to high-five one another and break into a simultaneous strut, switching dance partners then as Rose drops into a tidy senton atop King, and Lane starts to grind his boot against Pablo's grasping fingers. The luchador yelps in alarm, and switches his grip from hand-to-hand, his feet scuffing desperately to keep some purchase below as he tries to save himself from falling. Bunny Love cheers on her client below, and the crowd is caught between emotions - on the one hand, they want carnage, but this early? And El Pablo the first to fall?
As this pantomime plays out, Rose gets up, rubbing his back, only to be swept off his feet by a recovering Ace King. The Gambler manages to capture a single-leg Boston crab from the maneuver, and fights to drag Rose into the middle of the platform. Bobby fights back, stretching his wracked frame out to plant a single finger on the edge of the scaffold, and then another, and then hauls with his entire hand! It's hard to keep purchase on the plyboard surface, and King can't get the traction needed to keep his opponent in place. This sends BOTH of them toward the edge; but for Ace, it's backfirst, the hold broken as he's sent blind out toward the precipice...
El Pablo's plight suddenly pales in comparison, the arena holding its breath, but the Gambler rolls the dice and grounds himself with a squat, by a mixture of scaffold awareness and blind luck catching himself RIGHT on the edge of the platform, legs spread over the prone form of Rose. Both men look at each other, eyes wide, and Ace acts first; dropping his weight onto the veteran and rolling forward to come up on the other side of the scaffold. Rose is half over the edge himself, and slips to kneeling before he stands, turning too late to not catch Ace's incoming fist right between the eyes! He stands there a moment, his arms pinwheeling as his body considers falling--
--and decides against it. King follows up with a front kick, but Bobby manages to grab the leg and roll sideways, Dragon screwing the former Undisputed Champion onto the boards. Meanwhile, Jimmy Lane has been outfoxed by El Pablo, who goes underneath the structure and swings his way across the underlying scaffold to scramble up over the other side, blindsiding his own foe with a kick to the midsection and a rapid-fire neckbreaker, springing to his feet only to meet the oncoming Rose.
Both men stop each other with a raised finger, and there's a moment of confusion as each unthinkingly obeys... and then Pablo goes for a dropkick, while Bobby drops to a crouch, reaches into his trunks, and tosses a handful of white powder up into the air. El Pablo hits the deck in ungainly fashion, coughing and swiping at his eyes, as Rose laughs his ass off!
Loydson: If you aren't playing dirty, you aren't playing to win!
Martinez: I don't agree with the methods, but SE have said they NEED this win!
Lane and King are both up now, and the Gambler is quick to notice he's outnumbered - Pablo is writhing on the floor, snowblind for the moment. Puffing out his cheeks, Ace starts forward to at least get between Southern Express and his tag partner. The foxy old boys work as a unit, not preventing King from closing the distance but dividing to surround him. By way of distraction, Rose flicks some more of the powder Ace's way, and in the opening as King sensibly covers his eyes Lane jumps him and tries to seize a headlock. The Gambler fights back, jamming an elbow into Jimmy's leathery midsection and then dropping him with a Full House kick!
With the threat of Bobby still present, Ace backs off and circles the edge of the platform, remaining wary as Jimmy Lane gets to his feet. Pablo is beginning to recover, finding his way to a crouch, still swiping chalky dust from around his reddened eyes. Southern Express corner their prey, sharing a glance and a nod, before Bobby grabs his partner's arm--
--and before Jimmy can get out more than a stammer of protest, whips him toward Ace King and the perilous edge of the scaffold. Lane and King stare aghast, and open their arms on instinct to catch each other on the lip of a devastating plunge, their feet getting tangled as they war for supremacy and survival. Like a pair of particularly awkward and feckless dance partners, they just can't get it together, and the arena erupts as both men topple over the edge, still clinging to one another like star-crossed lovers...
There's no scream, no thud, no sound of a dozen tables shattering on impact. Jimmy Lane remains attached to Ace King, but the Gambler has one hand on the scaffold frame just below the platform, his knuckles white and entire arm shaking as he carries both their weight on one shoulder!
Bunny Love is apoplectic at ringside, screaming hoarsely up at Lane, who digs his fingers and knees into King and begins to use him like a climbing frame, throwing a hand on top of his head and unleashing a titantic GROAN of effort as he pulls himself up and over. Ace has no recourse but to keep holding on, as his opponent boosts himself back onto the platform and rolls over, lying there on his back like a landed fish, his chest heaving, panic turning to relief.
Now only carrying his own weight, Ace King is able to throw up his other arm and haul himself up and over, coming up in a crouch as the crowd ROARS their appreciation for this feat of strength and resolve. The Gambler is shaking all over now, smiling weakly to acknowledge the fans, as he glances across at El Pablo. The tecnico has one hand over his face, and appears to still be down; but spares a wink for his partner, triggering the same relief in him.
Bobby Rose walks right past his partner, looking to finish the job on King, when El Pablo hits him from the side with the momentum of a Mack truck, driving him clean across the scaffold with a sprinting dropkick to the underside of the ribs. Rose does a full flip before collapsing face-first at the opposite edge, as the Technicolor Tecnico kips up and launches right into a standing shooting star press on the still-recovering Lane! Ace King is there beside him as he rises, directing him to deal with Bobby Rose as he tends to Jimmy Lane.
El Pablo nods to his partner, pausing to showboat briefly for the appreciative crowd before he takes off toward the other side of the scaffold. King shakes his head, and starts to pick Lane up and over his shoulders. In this moment, things look bad for the Southern Express, and Bunny is beside herself, growling something about 'having to do everything herself' as she moves to mount the ladder and climb the scaffold. Incredibly interested to see where this leads, the crowd changes their tack completely, much to the chagrin of Tommy Love's daughter.
"CLIMB, BUNNY, CLIMB! CLIMB, BUNNY, CLIMB!"
Martinez: If Bunny falls like her father, she may never walk again!
Loydson: She doesn't care, she's going for it all!
Up top, both members of Southern Express are oblivious - or at least hiding their confusion - as they do their best to fight back. Rose meets the oncoming El Pablo with another handful of powder, but this time the tecnico weaves aside, and aims a snap kick right across the face! Bobby sprays spit as his neck is cranked hard by the blow, but he's grinning as he stands up and responds with a chop to the chest and then a straight punch that drives Pablo back.
Lane meanwhile finds himself caught in an airplane spin by King, managing to fight his way out with elbows and knees only to land dizzy on his feet, easy prey for a slingblade by the fresher Ace. The Gambler takes a moment to recover, seated on the platform, looking across to El Pablo's fight. He's still trading shots with Rose, but getting the worst of it, and when he's dropped to one knee by a slap across the ear he shakes off the cobwebs and counters the incoming grab by Rose to lock in a headscissors takedown that the veteran fights with every fiber of his being!
They're out on the far side of the scaffold, and neither man is prepared to go down. Ace bites off a curse and moves in to intercept as Rose uses superior power to pick El Pablo up, primed for a facebuster counter, angling to drop the luchador right on the edge of the platform. King comes around behind, dropping onto his knees with an arm around Rose's neck, dragging him into a backbreaker that forces the release on Pablo; who, amazingly, manages to do a handstand on the edge! To the awe of the fans, he manages to spin around and flip back to his feet, pausing to bump fists with King, who wears a wry half-smile in appreciation of his partner's antics.
All this action has set the whole structure to tipping and shaking, and while this does seemingly little to interfere with the tecnico's flamboyant display, it has absolutely halted Bunny Love in her tracks. With the crowd's attention diverted, she gingerly begins to climb back down, lips pursed and doing everything she can not to show her complete and utter terror at even attempting to scale so high. Brushing out her dress, she settles herself on the ground and tries to recompose.
Pablo's blood is up, and he's running down the re-risen Jimmy Lane with vim and vigor, catching him with a whirling monkey flip that pitches the larger man up toward the arena lights. Jimmy does a perfect arc, limbs pinwheeling, then comes down-- standing?! He turns in mid-air to land teetering on the edge of the platform, hands raised and eyes wide, in the moment before El Pablo tries to follow up and Lane responds on instinct with a mule kick, then turns to catch him with a reverse DDT and roll straight into mount, laying down punches on the tenacious Technicolor Tecnico!
Ace King, meanwhile, locks up with Bobby Rose, the two counter-grappling into wrist-holds and headlocks before the Gambler gets the upper hand with an abdominal stretch that he uses to twist the older ring warrior around into a powerbomb position. Looking up at the lights and out to the crowd, Ace further subdues his opponent with a couple of stiff elbows, then scoops him up and sets out to the precipice, his toes casting their shadow over the ring below as he attempts to launch Rose straight down... no! Bobby clings on, scissoring his legs, isolating an arm, and threatening to topple Ace face-first past him, both of them in peril as they fight in this ungainly position, each swearing at the other, sweating with the effort of staying in the match...
Loydson: The longer this goes, the more terrified I get...
Martinez: Tell me about it!
El Pablo bucks his hips and reverses position with Jimmy Lane, relinquishing the mounted position he now finds himself in to back off and bait the veteran on. Lane wipes at his mouth as he gets up, cracking his knuckles as he stalks down the slippery luchador. On the opposite side, Rose manages to get the questionable best of Ace King; an act that only sends the both of them tumbling slowly from the scaffold, both holding on for dear life as they start to swipe at each other with kicks and shoves of their hips. Of course, King's hips are in slightly better condition, and he manages to gain enough ground to pull himself up before his opponent.
Rose isn't far behind, though, grunting and straining as he gets to his knees on the platform's edge. King is there, whipping a kick into his chest, which Bobby tanks like a champ, asking for one more. Ace obliges, and the second kick is caught. Bobby ducks his head forward and sinks his teeth into the leg! King yells in pain and astonishment, hopping back as he tries to pull his limb away. It's all the opening Rose needs, proving himself the dirtiest player in this game as he lunges into a low blow that leaves Ace King rolling on the boards!
Lane and Rose are able to get back together, cornering El Pablo, who is beginning to lose his composure, glancing at the downed King and then his downed opponents. He runs at Lane, who catches him by one arm and tries to crank in a hold! The luchador does a backflip, momentarily releasing the pressure, popping up to try and catch the nearby Rose with a single-leg dropkick, but Bobby drops down and captures his other arm. Together, Southern Express muscle El Pablo down to his knees and round up their own, hitting In Your Face! Two protesting joints slam into his cranium, and the Technicolor Tecnico collapses!
It's fortunate for Rushin' Roulette that their opponents are just so damn old, both of them needing time to recover from the devastating blow. All four competitors are down for a few, uncertain moments, before Ace King staggers to his feet, still wincing in pain. The Gambler is cut from tough fabric, and shakes it off as he breaks into a ready stride across the platform. Bobby Rose sees him coming and pushes himself upright with a groan, circling aside from King's initial trajectory. This places him backfirst to the edge, and as Ace turns to catch him, he hesitates. A look is shot to the other two men, down but stirring, Pablo giving him an uneasy thumbs up.
"You've got this?" Asks King, looking back to Rose, who looks nervous. "Fuck it."
Sensing something about to happen, a ripple runs through the crowd. It's the calm before a veritable storm of furor, as Ace King RUNS forward, closing on Bobby Rose like the vengeful arm of a thousand cuckolded men. The Gambler rolls the dice, spins the wheel, puts all his chips on 'let's do this shit', and dives clean over Rose's head. More than 18,000 voices rise in disbelief!
Ace King hits the Wild Card, into the open air over a dozen stacked tables.
Flipping into the piledriver, dragging Bobby Rose with him down into that place far south of heaven, the Gambler risks gambling his blast and falls two storeys, the awful crunching, shattering cacophony of furniture breaking under force of colliding bone accompanying him for the last of those two. Splinters of wood and steel fly across ringside, as the two men fall still with a final, tremendous thump of skin on canvas. The mat actually splits beneath the driven weight of Bobby Rose, and Ace King falls sideways, not much better for wear as he collapses onto the rubble.
Above them, El Pablo mutters a prayer and looks heavenward, crossing his breast. Jimmy Lane just looks slightly sick, wondering about the state of his own back. But both men are warriors, foremost. They rise to their feet, and look at each other - it's come down to them. To this. Jimmy throws a punch and Pablo dodges, wagging an admonishing finger before firing back with a calf kick. Lane grits his teeth, grabs the back of the luchador's head, and smashes him with a headbutt! El Pablo staggers away, then gathers himself to come whirling back in with a rolling wheel kick, flattening Lane out onto the platform. Back on his own feet in an instant, the tecnico hops from foot to foot, only seeming to gain energy in the final moments! The crowd is behind him, all the way.
Jimmy Lane looks nervous, makes another grab for El Pablo only to receive another kick to the same leg. Favoring his weight to one side, the veteran glances back and finds himself exactly where he doesn't want to be right now; the edge. In a sudden scramble he darts to one side, breaking into a dash for the ladder at the end of the scaffold. El Pablo gives chase, but leaves enough opening for Lane to start climbing down. There's a moment's thought before the luchador follows.
The crowd is feverish, filled with anticipation and excitement, the tension high as Jimmy Lane transitions to the underside of the scaffold, hanging pear-shaped over the ring as he monkey bars from rung to rung. He's certainly spry; El Pablo is doing his best to catch up, but can only keep pace as the two men make their way across to the opposite end, each of them slipping a hand here and there in their haste, sending gasps through the arena - and heart palpitations through Bunny Love - as they resume their horizontal clamber.
Lane is in full flight mode, and makes it out first. Pulling himself over the ladder on the other side, he sucks in a breath and looks for sign of El Pablo, not seeming to realize he's been followed. Realization dawns too slowly, and he turns around to look down at the ladder.
A hand taps him upon the shoulder.
Jimmy Lane turns right into a pinpoint-accurate hesitation dropkick that catches him on the jaw, launches his head backward, and his entire body with it!
He seems to hang there for a moment before he falls, spinning head over heels--
--and landing belly-first on the ring ropes below, turning another one-eighty as he bounces first off them, and then the apron, before falling into a crumpled, possibly broken heap to ringside.
It's ugly. It's brutal. El Pablo may have just killed a man.
DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winner ... RUSHIN' ROULETTE!!!
There's a long, painful silence as people stare open-mouthed at the devastation. Ace King and Bobby Rose, still completely still in the debris-covered ring. Jimmy Lane, likely only alive because a world without the Southern Express is simply unthinkable and/or because the Love Club has a hook-up on the really fucking good painkillers. Bunny Love, on her knees, rocking back and forth, reconsidering her entire career. And El Pablo. On his feet, looking gingerly down over the edge of the scaffold, mouth an inquisitive 'o'.
As the entire world of EWC looks at him for an answer, the Technicolor Tecnico shrugs expressively and produces a pack of Skittles, which he tears open and shotguns to a riotous explosion from the fans!
Martinez: OH. MY. GOD. El Pablo hasn't lost his color, and Rampage knows that means this is a moment to be celebrated, but what did we just witness? We're going to need a whole lot of medics with a whole lot of prescription pills to clean up the mess after this one, Loydson!
Loydson: Make no mistake, Southern Express remain the toughest bastards on this rock; they'll be up and fighting again inside of a week. But even they couldn't stop Ace King and El Pablo from gritting their way through this one and somehow throwing both their crusty asses twenty five feet to the ground. Rushin' Roulette are five and oh, and I gotta say, respect. It turns out they were the men to finally break Bunny Love. If Ace King survives, I'm buying him a beer.
Martinez: Tonight's RAMPAGE delivered on its EXTREME promises and now there's just one episode left before StrangleMania! Join us next week for the GO HOME SHOW!
