Martinez: Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to the first day of B.O.R.T action. But not just that, today we also celebrate the career of Melody Malone.
Loydson: THE QUEEN Melody Malone has her 100th match tonight, and in honor of that we have prepared a special video package.
Martinez: That to come later in the show. First up, we've got King Flip taking on some GAMBIT fan favorites in a 3v1 elimination match.
Loydson: After that, it's Melody Malone taking on Mercenary in her aforementioned 100th match.
Martinez: After that, it is a fatal 5 way match pitting 5 B.O.R.T II hopefuls against each other. US Champ Darna Dare, Tanja Devereaux, Jamie Love, Jason Hunter & Ruby Clifton.
Loydson: After that, our first B.O.R.T II match, it is Alexandra Calaway taking on Mark Storm.
Martinez: And in our main event, Karver takes on Lavender in B.O.R.T II action.
Loydson: Decent card on paper, but the draw here is Melody!
Martinez: I think it's a great show on the way, so don't go anywhere folks!

Martinez: We are ringside in the UBS Arena, where-- uh?
For the second time in as many shows, Martinez is cut short as the stage lights begin to strobe, and 'Lost in Wars' by Battle Beast plays throughout the arena. Smoke curls onto the ramp, and a silhouetted figure emerges - tall, slender yet curvy, a statuesque woman packed into a micro-dress, with long, dark hair cascading past her shoulders. Even with the lights out, this is plainly not Darna Dare. She preens regardless, soaking in the noise and confusion.
Martinez: That's not--
Loydon: Way ahead of you. It's not. But that is.
The lights burst back on, and the stunning Asian beauty upon the ramp gestures up and to her left. The cameras refocus along with the most observant of the audience, fixating upon the more familiar, slight frame of the United States Champion sat, legs dangling, on top of the X-Tron. The belt is around her neck and shoulders, her own hair tumbling over it in freshly-dressed waves that bear new streaks of blonde. There's another change, too; one of Darna's eyes is no longer her natural hazel, but a piercing baby blue. She's grinning broadly, as she tips a wink to her friend and decoy below.

Darna: Ahaha! Salamat, Ning!
Bowing low, the woman on the ramp makes a graceful exit, throwing bedroom eyes back over her shoulder. Darna waves to the crowd.
Darna: And howdy, New York City! It is me, Darna, your United States Champion! My heart will belong always to the Philippines, but my body and my soul are now shared. I will bleed red, but also white, and blue, so long as this title clings to my mortal flesh!
There's always a mixed response for Dare, but most of the arena explodes in support of this statement; her battles and attitude are earning a fanbase that's as passionate as any other. Besides the ever-present contingent of robed spirits in the front row, growing pockets of dedicated Darna-ites hold up signs to show their support.
Deliver ME plz! ♥
DARNA DARK!
Dare to Rampage
SHIT COW GIRL
That last one is caught from several camera angles, and by Darna, who scrunches up her face as she squints at it. Three people each hold up a word, and once they realize the attention they've drawn, the one holding up the first word looks up, coughs, and sheepishly shuffles to the other end.
COW GIRL SHIT
Darna: Ahaha! Yes! Cowgirl shit! I promise this, right after I do some 'kicking Jamie Love's head from his shoulders' shit. BORT is upon us, and I will be watching whatever happens this night. Mercenary and Malone, Calaway and Storm, Karver and Lavender...
Pops left, right, and central, for every name the crowd cares to pop for. Darna slams a fist to the front of the championship belt, the sound creating a burst of feedback through her microphone. She cuts across and through it, impassioned.
Darna: I will meet every tanga among you in this tournament, and I will defend this title for Sugbu, for New York City, for Atlanta, for America, because what the Titaness leaves behind is a legacy that little Darna will not fail to uphold. I am a champion. If you wish to be one, bring all that you have and more, because unlike the poor prey pummeled by Prince Flip here tonight, I am not for your entertainment or personal gain! I will fight you all, sacrifice you all, regret not one moment, and stand at the end of it all - even if it means ripping once more through the sellsword and pinning Ace King himself...
That gets the biggest swell yet from the crowd. Bitches love the Gambler.
Darna: Still your United States Champion. This is only the beginning! Mr. Flip; we will have our reckoning. I owe you a better dance. A better Darna. For now, you enjoy your Hellish Doug Gelato. And to the Queen... Melody Malone...
Darna twists her neck, slipping the US title from around it, planting a firm kiss upon the plate before she holds it aloft.
Darna: You were the greatest to hold this, and that we are not yet destined pains me. If I survive, do me the honor of proving my worth.
She points out into the crowd, arm sweeping the length of the arena.
Darna: To them, I promise cowgirl shit. To them and to you, I promise not to disappoint. Happy false one hundred, my Queen.
The lights begin to strobe once more, as Darna drops the belt back onto her shoulders and stands as if it were nothing, her feet finding catlike purchase upon the X-Tron screen. She stands there a moment, then begins slowly to fall forward.
Darna: Let the Rampage--
Dare drops off the X-Tron, expression completely calm, turning a full flip before the lights go out.
Darna: --commence...
Her voice is a whisper, echoing into the void before the arena blazes back into life. There's no sign of Darna.
Martinez: Oh my God! Do we need the medics? Is Darna Dare going to be okay?
Loydson: Sometimes I wonder if you pay any attention at all. Relax. Solid message, though. I can't wait for Malone to break her in half and take back that title - if Dare even keeps it that long. Cuz she's right, the Queen was the greatest to ever hold that belt.
Martinez: With twelve accumulated defenses, you could be right, but let's not forget 777!
Loydson: You think I can remember four years ago? Give me a break.

MATCH ONE
King Flip VS DOUG IN A BARREL, Jimmy Dumb As Heller & Peach Gelato
X-DIVISION 1V3 HANDICAP ELIMINATION MATCH
"King Flip Takes On DOUB, Jimmy & Peach as Samantha Hamilton Takes A Personal Leave Of Absence From The Wrestling World."
REF: Mike Michaelson
We back to the commentary booth as Chriqui climbs into the ring.
Martinez: After Darna Dare has pumped up the show tonight... It's our opening match! and it's a match that wasn't scheduled for the show until about 10 or so days ago.
Loydson: This is going to be dumb, really dumb.
Chriqui: The following match is a three-on-one elimination match under X-Division rules. Introducing first from Miami, Florida, & weighing in at 132 pounds... PEACH GEEELATO!!!
No entrance music plays. Peach walks through the curtain to about three people booing. Her name is on the X-Tron but that's about it. She huffs to the ring, walks up the steel steps, and shakes her butt as she enters through the ropes. A few more people boo. Nobody cares.
Chriqui: And her partner, from Green Acres, & weighing in at 215 pounds... JIMMY "DUUUMB AAAS" HELLER!
"Because I Got High" by Afroman plays. Still no X-Tron, just his name. Jimmy just sort of stumbles through the curtain wafting smoke behind him. A few people cheer the weed references here. He bumbles toward the ring and slides in. Peach Gelato starts yelling at him, trying to take control of the team. He tells her to take a 'chill pill' as four people laugh.
Chriqui: And their partner, from Parts Unknown, & weighing in at 375 pounds before adding the barrel... DOUG IIIN A BAAAREEELLLLLL!
The "I put butter on my Poptart" bit from Family Guy plays on a loop as DOUG's name replaces those before him on the X-Tron. DOUG IN A BARREL barely fits through the curtain and gets a much larger pop from the crowd. Peach looks pissed. Jimmy has no idea what's going on. DOUG raises both hands as he reaches the edge of the stage. Another decent pop. He slowly makes his way down the ramp, giving fives to a few people who have their hands out. He eventually gets into the ring. Peach Gelato once again tries putting down the law. He mostly ignores her.
Chriqui: And their opponent, from the land of money and fame, & weighing in at 220 pounds... KIIING FLIP!!!

K I N G F L I P zooms from right to left across the X-Tron and is followed swiftly by a small pyro. 'Machinegun' begins to play as the man in the hooded vest, head low, emerges from the curtain to a raucous crowd. Chanel gets her own pop as she follows through the curtain pushing a shopping cart full of weapons. He gets to the edge of the rampway when he lifts his hood to reveal that arrogant half smile. The lyrics chime in as he walks slowly down the ramp with his eyes locked in on the ring. He stops at the ring and watches Peach yell at her partners with her back to Flip. He looks to the crowd as his theme fades.
Martinez: Peach Gelato coming out here with a game plan, but Jimmy and DOUG seem to want to have nothing to do with it.
Loydson: King Flip sees his spot and it looks like he's going to start the match with a kendo stick.
DING DING DING
Flip lifts a single finger to his lips to signal for the crowd to be silent. DOUG tries to warn Peach, but it's too late. THWACK! The crack of the stick echoes through the arena to an audible 'oooh' from the crowd. Jimmy realizes the match started and runs right into another crack from the kendo stick. Peach is still reeling from the first hit when thwack, Flip pops her across the back again. DOUG looms forward and Flip takes a swing. The stick shatters against the BARREL. The move had no effect on DOUG. Flip tosses the handle and thumbs the big man in the eye instead. The King shoves the BARREL as hard as he can and DOUG goes toppling over and downed Peach Gelato. Jimmy is back to his feet and does a cartwheel. Flip gives him two thumbs up and gestures for the crowd's applause. Jimmy is caught in the moment and caught with a Cactus Jack clothesline that sees Jimmy and Flip topple over the ropes and fumble to the mats outside the ring. DOUG can't seem to get up. He's flailing about like a turtle on their back and seems stuck. Gelato ignores this and crawls to the ring apron to join Jimmy as he and Flip are getting to their feet outside the ring. Peach faces off with Chanel and warns her to not get involved, but the manager slaps her across the face anyway. Jimmy goes for his KARATE HIYAAAA but Flip rolls underneath the big kick. He grabs a stunned Peach Gelato and spins her into the Killer Innovative Nerve Grinder. He pins her to the mat as Jimmy pops for the move with the crowd.

Chriqui: Peach Gelato has been eliminated!
Martinez: There goes the Peach!
Loydson: Only good part of this match.
The King is on his feet and is locked up with Jimmy on the outside. DOUG is still struggling to get up but has successfully rolled over. DIAB is now using the ropes in the corner to assist him to his feet. Flip takes a JUDO CHOP! to the chest and Jimmy goes for a Schoolboy rollup. Flip kicks out before the referee can even count to one. Heller does another cartwheel as Flip gets to his feet. JUDO CHOP! Jimmy connects with a second stiff chop to the chest. Jimmy is about to go for a third when Flip rushes him and connects with a belly to belly suplex. Heller lands inside the shopping cart full of weapons, causing it to fall over and the weapons to spill onto the floor. Flip drags the cart into position before stalking Jimmy. German suplex onto the side of the shopping cart connects. DOUG is on his feet and makes his way to the ring apron as Flip grabs a stop sign off the floor. The King turns around just as DOUG jumps off the ring apron. DOUG connects with a BARREL block but takes a stop sign to the dome for his troubles. Both men bounce backward, but DOUG is able to keep himself upright against the ring apron while Flip rolls back toward the rampway. The Ol CHK is able to crawl over to the still downed Jimmy Heller. Flip fires into action and locks in the KNEEL submission maneuver. DOUG is finally able to shake the cobwebs and even goes so far as to lift the shopping cart high above his head, but it's just too late for Jimmy. Heller taps out to the camel clutch submission before DOUG can throw the shopping cart at them. It didn't matter too much, though, as the cart bounces off the floor and misses both men completely.
Chriqui: Jimmy "Dumb As" Heller has been eliminated!
Loydson: What a Dumb Ass.
Martinez: You mean, Dumb As!
DOUG looks pretty disappointed in himself. Flip and Chanel give each other a nod and she goes for a cooler that spilled out of the shopping cart earlier. Flip motions toward her before DOUG can go on the offense. They both look over and she's got three beers in her hands. The crowd cheers as she hands them to Flip and DOUG. They each crack open a beer, cheers one another, then begin a chug off. Flip stops early but it doesn't matter. DOUG has already finished his beer. The crowd roars. He takes Flip'sbeer and finishes that one too! DOUG looks like he's going to be sick for a moment. Then it happens. BEEEELCH! A thunderous response from the crowd puts a huge smile on DOUG's face. Flip extends a hand... and DOUG accepts. They shake hands and hug to the appreciation from the audience in attendance. Then Flip shoves him with Chanel in position behind. DOUG topples over Chanel and lands on his back. Flip hops onto the guardrail. ROYAL BLOOD! Cover!

Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall... KIIING FLIP!!!
Flip has his hand raised by the referee for a moment, but yanks it away. He and Chanel make their way up the ramp as 'Machinegun' by Portishead plays over the public announce system.
Martinez: King Flip didn't really break much of a sweat here tonight. But a win is a win. Congrats to the Monday Night BRAWL star.
Loydson: He always brings such stupid shit to the brand... but I guess it can be entertaining.
Martinez: Phil, I didn't know you had a soul. Don't go anywhere folks we'll be right back.
Camera cuts to ...

On the arena concourse, a small crowd of people have gathered around what appears to be a green booth. Behind it, Rachel Howard and Rory Hyland are holding the crowd at bay as Rachel smiles and holds her arms out.
Rachel: Everybody just calm down, she’ll be right here. She IS scheduled to compete shortly you know!
The crowd murmurs for a moment before Rory takes a step back from the booth and makes room for the Queen herself - Melody Malone - to take her place behind the stand. She’s already clad in her ring gear for later tonight, but gracefully has her crown atop her head for effect. Rachel steps off to the side, dragging an easel into view with a board covered by fabric beside Malone.

Melody Malone: So sorry to keep you all waiting, I know you’re all eager to see what we’ve got drawn up here. So allow me to not waste anyone’s time and just get right down to it.
She reaches over, pulling the fabric free before she clasps her hands together in front of her.
Melody Malone: I present to you all, the first annual official Draft Kings™ bracket pool - BORT Edition!
The propped up board beside her shows the current BORT tournament brackets, all laid out from start to finish on both the A and B sides. Tiny gold stars on each side indicate the current reigning HBO and United States champions, as Rory hands Melody a thin pointer so she can explain further. She doesn’t address the throng of people in front of her so much as she addresses the camera stationed behind them as this is intended to feature on TV throughout the duration of the BORT.
Melody Malone: So, starting TONIGHT… you can place your bets on the BORT with the full guarantee of Draft Kings™. You think Darna Dare is going to win it all? Shoot your shot! Ace King going to sweep it? Bet the house. The sooner you place your bets throughout the tournament, the higher a chance of winning you have! Prizes range from box seats to the Rampage finale in New York City on November 11th, a $50,000 cash prize, the first edition series of EWC Funko Pop figures, and so much more… but our grand prize? A VIP package for Wrestlefest December 16th-19th!
A couple of people reach for the paper on the booth, eager to make their wagers as the first match for BORT is coming up in the next hour. There’s some murmuring before a slight shove starts an argument between two more people toward the back. Melody shakes her head, looking to the hard camera filming for the commercial spot before shrugging her shoulders.
Melody Malone: What are you waiting for? Become the Best of Draft Kings™ by participating in the Rampage BORT Edition tournament! I know it’s hard not betting on me… but can you bet on yourself?
She gives a salacious wink to the camera before the cameraman shoots her a thumbs up and she nods. Rory looks ready to step around the booth to break up the arguments but as Malone turns, she grabs his arm and shakes her head.
Melody Malone: Not now. We’ve got places to be. Match 100 waits for no one. Shall we?
Rory holds his arm out and Melody accepts it, the over-exaggerated ‘royalty’ guise plastered across her face as she tilts her chin upward and the two head towards the ring entrance area, while Rachel is left behind to command the draft booth as more and more people, start to congregate on the concourse.

MATCH TWO
Mercenary VS Queen Melody Malone
SINGLES MATCH
"Two Of Rampage's Brightest Face Off For The First Time, Will This Serve As A Warm-up Win For Merc Ahead Of His Round 1 B.O.R.T II Match? Or Will Melody Malone Send Him Into The Tourney Off A Singles Loss?"
REF: Pierce Patterson
We return to ringside where Pierce Patterson stands by to officiate.
Martinez: We are BACK in the ring, and ready for an historic occasion! Did you know, Loydson, this is going to be Queen Melody's 100th match in EWC history? Before you say anything, did you ALSO know that her opponent for this contest is the exact same opponent--
Loydson: --that she faced in her very first match. Yeah, kid. Everybody knows. Melody Malone ain't concerned about the events of three years ago, and I don't reckon either of these competitors wants to think about the events of StrangleMania. This is here, this is now, and we are in for a hard-hitting contest that's gonna have serious ramifications moving forward.

Duggan: 100 Matches, it is a milestone all wrestlers hope to achieve in a federation. 100 matches, it says a lot about a wrestler.
Mercenary starts to stir and makes his way back up to his feet as Malone charges for the ropes and takes him back down to the mat with a running Armageddon Clock. Malone makes her way back up to her feet and grabs Mercenary and pulls him back up to his own feet. Malone drives her foot into the midsection of Mercenary and connects with Nightmare Fuel. She hooks his legs for the cover as the ref makes the count.

Darna Dare: As there is only one Darna Dare, there is only one Queen. On the eve of your hundred struggles, know that you are heard and seen. A nightmare to most, a dream to little Darna! When you have won ninety nine, search for my shadow. To be your true hundred would be the greatest of pleasures.
King Flip: Melody Malone is the baddest bitch on the planet. Can't wait to give her a nice kiss on the face with her chair again.
Bosa: I always give credit where it is due. Melody, without a doubt, you have been the very definition of tenacity and consistency here in the EWC. Watching you compete has enabled me to raise my game and to learn from one of the best. Congratulations on this milestone. Tonight is your night. All hail the Queen...
...the Siren of Scorn is on her feet, approaching the apron…only to take a baseball slide right to the face by Robina Hood! Robina’s had enough of this game as she brings Melody back into the ring. The champ stands in wait as Melody gets to her feet, looking to hit the Grand Finale…but Melody reverses it by leaping off her feet, hitting a Salida del Sol on the champ! REQUIEM! Melody quickly makes the cover, hoping for the best!

Ruthann Hunter: What can I say to the Queen herself... Queen Melody. The day you step into my home asking to see me and Jaden regarding your upcoming match against Cyrus for the Undisputed Championship. Jaden and I looked at each other with the same thought and knew we saw the future of this company. A woman that will not only follow the path that I have laid down here in EWC but also Jaden himself. There is a reason why we felt you were the future. Now you have become that future and have done some of the greatest things that many wrestlers, not only females around here wish they could do. Tonight for your 100th I am hoping for the best for you and maybe one day it will happen Queen vs Queen as it should. When it does you will no longer be Queen Melody but Empress Melody of EWC like you should be.
Back in the ring, Nickles gets to her feet just before Swango. Nickles plants Swango back on the mat with a swinging neckbreaker, she then slowly climbs to the top turnbuckle just as Swango is trying to get to her feet. Nickles leaps towards her, trying to hit her top rope sunset flip finisher Carpe Diem but amazingly Swango manages to use her strength to catch Nickles in mid-air, and reverse the sunset flip into her own finisher an air raid crash neckbreaker she calls Acrobatic Tenament! Swango falls on top of Nickles exhausted, as the referee makes count...

Jason Hunter: When I got the chance to step inside of the ring against you. That's when it hit me as to why my parents saw but not only them but everyone else around here. My daughter just told me the other day “The Queen crown at Stranglemania was just tilt a little bit daddy. This week she is going to be right back on top and she will be the Undisputed Champion once again daddie... I know she will.” I have no choice but to agree with her because Queen Melody I see now is the one that is ready to get back on top and not only be a Queen but she will become the Empress of this company. Your name will be in the Hall of Fame right next to Bethe Harte and my mother because you have that much talent within your finger. I can’t wait to face off with you again, even though I might lose against you in that match. I would be happy at the fact I am inside of the ring with the future Empress of EWC. Empress Melody. Congrats on your 100th match here in EWC. You deserved it!
THE CROWD IS GOING INSANE. THEY JUST WON’T STAY DOWN. Neither Ryo nor Malone are stirring. The ref begins his count but suddenly they both get to their knees. Ryo and Malone begin to strike each other in the face with forearms. They work their way up to their feet. Ryo has the striking advantage and Malone stumbles backwards. Ryo hoists her up onto his shoulders but she slips the back. Malone spins Ryo around and grabs on a side-headlock! She stuggles and but gets Ryo up into a suplex. Extending Ryo’s legs to the ref who catches them by instinct. Before he can react Malone drops Ryo into a ref assisted NIGHTMARE FUEL! Malone maintains her headlock. She struggles and pulls herself and Ryo up. Malone spikes Ryo down into one more NIGHTMARE FUEL before making her own deadweight cover.

El Pablo: My Royal Highness! It's an honour to be a part of this event marking one hundred matches for Queen Melody Malone in the EWC! A century of showdowns and throwdowns through which you've pretty much done it all; FSW Champion, Tag Team Champion, United States Champion, Undisputed Champion, two-time Rumble winner, more MVP awards than I can shake a sack of Skittles at and - dare I say - the second-greatest brand ambassador in the EWC today. It seems crazy to say but, even with everything you've already accomplished within this first hundred matches, I know that the best is still to come...and I, for one, am very much looking forward to Tasting your Rainbow for the next one hundred matches and beyond!
...Wait, that's not- Lemme retake that one! LEMME RET-
By this point Sanders realizes something is up and he turns just in time to see Malone perched on the top rope, she leaps towards him looking for her finisher, Off With Their Head but Sanders catches her in mid air and he charges towards the ring ropes with Malone on his shoulder, he then releases her straight over the top rope... but Malone wraps her legs around Sanders neck and she pulls him over the top rope with her, and as they tumble over, Malone grabs onto the ring ropes and they flip, both of them falling to the outside... but Sanders crashes to the floor first and Malone falls on top of him!!!!!

Our scene heads backstage and immediately the arena fills with boos as we're joined by The Prime Minister himself. Scorpio is decked out in a black Chanel suit, his jaw clenched and held high as he tries to look regal and statesman-like for the camera. Beside him stands the Deputy Prime Minister Créme de la Créme.
Scorpio: WILL YOU CRETINS BE QUIET AND SHOW SOME RESPECT?!
Obviously the crowd respond to this by only getting louder with their hatred for the S-Factor, who rolls his eyes and raises his voice to overcome them.
Scorpio: I never liked being on this brand anyway, I carried Friday nights for two years and it's falling apart without me! Now I've been asked to send a diplomatic message of congratulations for a 100th match. You know I'm heading into my 89th match this coming Prime, and when I reach my 100th I can guarantee my celebration will be much grander than this. Anyway... congratulations on your 100th EWC match to...
He turns to Créme as clearly the Prime Minister's not been properly briefed for this press conference, and Créme whispers the name in his ear. Immediately Scorpio recoils in horror.
Scorpio: HER?!
Créme nods looking a little sheepish.
Scorpio: Oh absolutely fuck off there is NO WAY I'm congratulating that fetid little witch on simply having survived this place long enough. Melody Malone is nothing short of a horrible skank who slept her way to the Undisputed Cha--
The scene abruptly cuts and the X-Tron goes black as the camera pans back to Martinez and Loydson.
Martinez: I think what the S-Factor meant to say was "Congratulations Melody Malone!", and incredibly achievement. Always a pleasure to have Scorpio back on Friday Nights...

Black lifts Malone up and slowly carries her over to the turnbuckle. Resting her on the top, Black begins to climb when Malone comes alive and hits him a few stiff forearm and elbow shots across the face. Malone then grabs Black as she sits on the top turnbuckle, and as she leaps off she hits Black with her tornado suplex finisher she calls The Noble Pursuit.
Malone thinks about pinning then decides against it, instead she gets to her feet and slowly climbs the top turnbuckle one more. Black looks hurt and dazed but he begins to slowly get to his feet and as he does Malone jumps off, grabbing a hold of his head she hits her finisher Eclipse finisher she calls Off With Their Head! Malone quickly climbs on top of Black and hooks his leg up for the pin...

We open to an empty set, save for a chair with its back turned to the camera with an accompanying side table and a Matrix-style LED background. Footsteps break the otherwise quiet atmosphere, as a man takes a seat in the chair, with the back still turned to the camera.
Man: It goes without saying that there’s no love lost between us, Melody… But even in saying that, some occasions transcend sentiment. This is one of those times.
The man turns the chair to reveal Ace King, dressed in an uncharacteristically slick black suit with a hint of green in the tie and pocket square. As he leans in toward the camera, the Matrix-style background text shifts to form ‘100.’
Ace King: We’ve said plenty of things about each other over the years, Melody, but I’ve always been clear in knowing what I saw from you early on, having no idea what was to come, and in terms of getting the job done and shoving the dissenting opinions back where they came from, there isn’t a body of work quite like yours. I’m not necessarily one to flaunt the risk part of my name, but you’ve surely stood as Queen more often than not.
Ace pauses for a moment to straighten up his tie.
Ace King: Whether it’s been in America’s Most Hated, DSR, representing Rampage, or most importantly of all, standing on your own two feet as an Undisputed Champion, FSW Champion, two-time United States Champion, two-time Rumble winner… Now, you can look at that little girl from Omaha…
Ace pauses as his intensity spikes, trying to calm himself down with a breath. He does so successfully, his eyes again piercing the camera.
Ace King: …You can look at that like girl from Omaha, and you can tell her you made it, and you made yourself into one of the baddest competitors, male or female, that EWC has ever seen. We’ve both seen scores of people come and go on the way to 100, and despite everything I’ve said to you over the years, and despite everything you’ve already accomplished… Listen closely, because this is real talk…
As if on cue, the camera slowly zooms in on Ace, who runs a game through his hair before offering a knowing glance at the camera.
Ace King: …I really think you’re just scratching the surface of what you’re going to be. Straight up: Congratulations, enjoy tonight, and don’t ever lose that hunger and drive that’s gotten you this far.
With a subtle nod, the camera slowly pans out to Ace, who is pouring himself a shot of Crown Royal from the side table. ‘The Gambler’ raises the shot and throws it back, wincing slightly given his normal dislike of alcohol, though he powers through it to raise the empty glass as the feed cuts to…
Martinez: Congratulations Melody. You are one of the greatest to ever do it. Now, we head to Chriqui.
Chriqui: The following match is for one fall!
Dropkick Murphys' The Gauntlet blasts over the PA. A flashing red strobe lights the stage as the rest of the room goes dark.
Chriqui: First, hailing from West Oakland, California. He is the EWC Outlaw. He is ... THE MERCENARY!!!

Mercenary swaggers out onto the stage with his face hidden behind a hard tactical mask painted to look like The Punisher's iconic skull logo. His eyes inside the mask scan the crowd. He crosses both arms, gloved fists clenched, across his chest and under his chin. The pose resembles a skull and crossbones. To either side of him the stage explodes in motes of red and orange flame. The fans sing along as the song comes to its chorus:
Stand Up and FIGHT!
And I'll Stand Up with you.
We shall succeed.
STAND UP AND FIGHT!
AND I'LL STAND UP WITH YOU!

Removing the mask the big man salutes the crowd and stalks towards the ring at a steady pace filled with menace and a deadly purpose he climbs between the ropes and walks to the corner where he throws a few shadow punch combos at the turnbuckle before turning with his back to the corner, his arms crossed again across his chest, in wait for the bell to give him the sign to come out swinging.
Chriqui: And his opponent, from San Diego, California, and weighing in at one hundred and forty five pounds... she is the QUEEN of EWC... MELODY MALONE!!!

The lights dim, but don’t go dark before the soft words of Billie Eilish’s “You Should See Me In A Crown” begin to play over the P.A. system. Melody comes out from backstage with her crown upon her head and her personal retainer Rory Hyland in tow. She’s unflinching to the crowd’s expression as she comes down the entrance ramp. Rory gets onto the apron, holding the ropes open for Melody to climb through without losing her crown. As Melody climbs into the ring, she gives the crowd a sarcastic smile before she relinquishes the crown to Rory and prepares for her match.
Martinez: He failed to secure the United States Championship at StrangleMania, but Mercenary is always a strong competitor - and he wants to walk into BORT as the name on everybody's lips. Dismantling Malone, especially in the wake of the rumors surrounding her, will do exactly that!
Loydson: Rumors are like buttholes, Martinez. We've all heard the noise they make, but we don't know where they came from or whose fault they are. My point is, forget the rumors! This is the Queen of EWC we're talking about. Her record this season speaks for itself. This may not be her hundredth win, but it'll be one more in the record books, mark my words.
DING DING DING
This one starts HOT, both competitors immediately on the attack to the sheer delight of the crowd! The Queen is snarling, driving forward with a pumping knee that slams into her much larger foe's gut; and fails to subdue him, as he gets both arms up and pulls her into a clinch. Pain registers on his face, but Mercenary holds on and responds with knees of his own, one to the chest and another to the face. On the second impact, he releases Malone, and she staggers back, rattled but already swinging to catch him with a wild left hook to the jaw.
Turnabout is fair play, as the big man now stumbles. Melody leaps as if she means to land in his arms, right hand winding around the back of his neck as she transitions into a jumping snapmare. Mercenary crashes onto his back, but rolls upright, hitting the nearby ropes to retort with a sharp clothesline. He cleaves through and keeps moving as Malone hits the mat - failing to realize she's formed a bridge! She's up and waiting to catch him with a dropkick to the chest, attempting to score a roll-up as he's flung off the ropes one last time...
She gets it!

TW-- KICKOUT!
Melody is already up and smirking as the Mercenary finds his feet, shaking off the cobwebs, staring her down with a cold fire in his eyes. She says something, drowned out by the crowd, and beckons the big man on with a single finger. He shakes his head, barks out, "Ladies first!" And she obliges. A leg lariat is blocked with both hands, as Merc snatches his opponent from the air, dropping her back onto the canvas and hooking the head to drag her toward the corner. Demonstrating his power, he controls the struggling woman easily, pulls her up onto the turnbuckle, and surges into a top rope suplex that sends her tumbling into the middle of the ring! He covers her with one hand.

KICKOUT!
Martinez: I think Mercenary is fighting harder here than he even did at StrangleMania, he wants to spoil Malone's night. To show he is the one who should be on top!
Loydson: He's going to have to fight his ass off to achieve that!
Malone scowls as she pushes herself upright, wiping at her mouth with the back of one hand, staring daggers through her opponent. Her face says it all; he'll regret that gesture, the nonchalant cover. Mercenary is all business, rolling his shoulders and cracking his neck, before stepping in for a lock-up that Melody evades simply to make a point, weaving under his arms and striking with a stinging calf kick as she steps away to circle him from behind. He shakes his head, smiling ruefully, and turns to lunge at her again...
The Queen sees it coming, and treats the attempt with a similar instinctive disdain, this time dropping to a knee and shooting through the legs. Merc is ready for her this time, and drops a half-beat later, grabbing Malone's own lower limbs and twisting her over to apply a Sharpshooter. She scrabbles at the mat, tries to throw a desperate backhand blow, but Merc is able to sit back, to a huge pop from the crowd as he nods and sticks out his tongue, eyes wide, passion flaring.
Melody is vocal as she's asked to submit, commanding Patterson to go fuck himself, before making a crazed play for the ropes. She SCREAMS with the effort and the pain, and locks eyes with Rory at ringside - who responds by slamming his big hands on the apron, urging her on. The crowd are booing as she inches closer, and express their derision with a shower of detritus toward the grounded Queen as she finally gets a hand onto the ropes and forces the break.
Mercenary backs off amiably enough, raising his hands as he releases the hold and steps away, allowing Patterson to corral Malone, who plays up an apparent injury, even wiping a few false tears from her eyes as she limps upright. Merc frowns, and extends a hand, enquiring for her wellbeing. Malone flutters her eyelashes, smirks, and then rakes her nails right across the big man's eyes! The fans EXPLODE in indignation, and Patterson yells a warning that Malone pays the most cursory of lip-service, as she steps forward and follows up with a fierce enziguri!
The Hitman is down, and treated to a couple of handstand knees to the ribs, before Melody flips him over and takes a moment to grapevine his legs before falling back, snapping the knee joint. Mercenary cries out in pain, but she's not done; sitting back up, seizing onto his arms and falling back with a savage boot to the back of his head, slamming him facefirst to the mat with the Queen's Exile!
There's no cover. Instead, Malone rights herself and plays to the crowd - who oblige her with their hatred, and another show of trash that gains them a derisive scowl and a dismissive wave from the Queen, who poses regally, straightening her invisible crown.
Loydson: Melody Malone has this crowd in the palm of her hand, she's an absolute master!
Martinez: She definitely knows how to work the crowd, but she needs to be careful she doesn't work herself... look out!
The theatrics have given Mercenary ample time to recover, though he certainly doesn't look fresh. With a smirk that says, 'is that all you've got?', he fixates Malone with a bold stare and points at his chin, daring her to take another swing. Her nostrils flare as she snorts, and is either unable to cool her head enough not to sense the trap - or simply doesn't care. Lost in her own ego, she charges, and is met with a boot to the gut!
With a grunt, Merc scoops her up and hits a delayed fallaway slam into the far corner, Malone's body bouncing twice before she comes to rest at his feet. Bending over, he grabs her by the throat and pulls her up only to send her right back down with a pressing choke slam that leaves him in half-guard, sprawling out to drop his substantial weight across the Queen, bombarding her with hammering blows she tries to weather by raising her arms and warding off the massive ham hocks. In this position, it's just not a fair contest - Merc pounds her flat, and then hooks the leg for a pin.

KICKOUT!
Melody shrieks as she breaks free, rolling out and immediately flinging herself back at the larger man, leading the way with a sliding elbow that catches him mid-rise, between the eyes. He falls onto his ass, and she follows up with several more, returning the favor by pounding him flat, then surging to her feet with heavy breaths, seething in the extremity of rage. She looks to the corner, but rather than step over her downed foe, she steps across him, one heel digging into his sternum and the other slamming his head against the mat. She uses him as a launchpad, in fact, springing toward the turnbuckle and pulling herself into position--
--for the Queen's Gambit! She flips into a perfect moonsault, bringing both heels down once more - together now - to cleave Mercenary right in the center mass, driving all the breath from his body. He convulses, somehow comes to life despite all the pain on his face, but she lands atop him, leaning back with all of her strength and determination, hooking both legs to roll him onto his shoulders!

T-- KICKOUT!!
It's agonizingly close, but it's not enough. Mercenary gets one shoulder up, and tries to simply fling Melody Malone from atop him - but she holds on, brings her head to his with a shuddering crunch, and then spins out to seize his already-targeted leg, setting up for the Queen's Grace, the knee stretching out across the back of her neck. He begins to fight, and she starts to tighten the hold to stop him-- and then, relents, spits something venomous from betwixt her lips, drops the leg and steps back, raising her arms to either side, beckoning with both hands.
To Mercenary, that he get up. To the EWC fans, that they witness her in this moment. The former, at least, obliges, pulling himself up on the ropes, his face reddened and body aching, but fight still in his body as he closes one hand to a fist and starts forward. Malone is ready to meet him, but what she's met by is a long-armed slap from the opposite hand, right across the jaw. She's less stunned by the pain and more by the impunity - but it buys Mercenary the second he needs...
To step in with a roaring elbow that spins Malone around and onto her knees! The crowd goes wild, as Mercenary pulls her into his clutches from there, driving her head between his thighs, scooping her up and over into the bright lights of the arena. She lingers up there a moment, eyes wide, sickened by her own reality--
--and then she rolls forward, her spine arching inward, arms extending... flipping through, rolling her opponent into a momentary schoolboy that gets a count of 0.75 before she releases it of her own volition, leaving the ground to bring both knees crashing down atop Mercenary. She lands to one side, encircles him with an arm, pulls him vigorously upright, and pauses.
Those who know, know. It's a blast from the past. It's what she told him she'd do. Throwing her free arm out, Melody swings through, delivering the spike DDT with ferocity unmatched! NIGHTMARE FUEL!
She's frantic, scrambling into the cover! Patterson counts!

Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall ... MELODY MALONE!!!
The Queen begins to laugh, sitting up and grabbing twin handfuls of her own, mussed hair, almost breaking into an outright cackle before she catches herself, clearing her throat and patting her locks back into place as she does her best to stand primly. At ringside, Rory is cheering and applauding, as the fans express themselves in different fashion. Melody stares out at them all, with quiet disdain, her gaze hardening, only the rapid succession of her breaths betraying her emotion as she tosses her head and turns to sashay from the ring...
Only to get jerked around by a hand on her shoulder. Mercenary is out on his feet, but despite it all he extends a hand in a gesture of respect. If she were disdainful before, now she's disgusted, and commands the much larger man to kneel. He shakes his head, but slowly takes a knee, leaving his hand extended. The Queen laughs, and takes the kneeling man's hand with a profound air of sarcasm.
She's already made her mistake. The second their digits collide, Merc surges up and forward, pulling her toward his rising arm to hit a short-arm lariat! Malone goes down HARD! She's dazed! Mercenary raises an arm and turns, only to meet the incoming bulk of Rory, who slides into the ring to play bodyguard, ready to throw hands. Pierce Patterson throws himself between the two giants, desperately forcing them back. Both look ready to go; Rory is seething, jabbing an angry finger toward the EWC Outlaw as he steps around to retrieve his employer and escort her from the ring.
Mercenary remains in the ring, standing through willpower alone, running a thumb across his throat as the pair escape up the ramp, Rory's Scottish brogue unceasing as he promises pain in the future of his fellow big man.
Martinez: An incredible counter-display by Melody Malone, all but forgotten as the Mercenary is sure to let her know - he CAN do what it takes, he's not to be counted out even in defeat! Are we seeing a change in this man? Are we going to see him and Rory collide over the Queen's honor? If nothing else, we can be sure their next match is going to be even more violent. Even more personal. And with this new attitude, Mercenary could turn his fortunes around in the BORT... he could BECOME our United States Champion!
Loydson: It's all just blowing smoke, Martinez. Malone told us what she'd do, and she did it. That's what winners do. That's what champions do. The Queen knows where her destiny lies. Ain't no man gonna stop her now, even if he's learned that same lesson. She's already two steps ahead of him.
Martinez: Melody Malone is definitely an entirely different beast. Congrats again on 100 matches! Don't go anywhere!

MATCH THREE
Darna Dare VS Jason Hunter VS Ruby Clifton VS Tanja Devereaux VS "The Love Child" Jamie Love
FATAL-FIVE-WAY - NO DQ
"The B.O.R.T II Is Upon Us! Five B.O.R.T II Competitors Will Face Off Here To Determine Who Has The Momentum Heading Into The Tournament!"
REF
We return to ringside where the atmosphere is electric, the crowd still buzzing from the previous match.
Martinez: And we are back in the ring! Don't go anywhere, stay glued to your seats, because things are about to take a violent turn. The rules are going out of the window, Loydson!
Loydson: Oh, you bet your ass they are, kid. Five competitors, almost an entire third of the BORT, are about to collide with their gloves off and mo-mentum on the line. This one's for all the clout, and what's more important than clout, I ask you?
Chriqui: The following match is a fatal five way, with NO disqualifications! Introducing first, from Sugbu, Philippines, and weighing in at one hundred and thirteen pounds... she is your EWC United States Champion... DARNA DARE!!!

Darna emerges amidst coils of thick, gray smoke, her hood raised and gaze trained upon the ring. One hand is hooked into the corner of the US Championship, which hangs crooked across her waist. Bold steps carry her into a dive through the ropes, where she rolls and comes up balanced on her hands, spine curved dramatically and legs extended, toes pointed in line with her determined glare. A few scuttling hand-steps are taken in this bizarre signature pose, before she thrusts her feet forward and flips to standing, rising in a distorted gymnast's salute, then a flamboyant bow to the crowd; a devilish grin gracing her lips. The title gleams as she removes it, still staring into the audience, and hands it off to a hooded, masked assistant on the outside of the ring.
Chriqui: From San Francisco, California, and weighing in at one hundred and seventy pounds... The Prince of Wrestling... JASON HUNTER!!!

Soldier- Neffex comes over the speaker as Diana and Sara came out first as they stood on the stage with Jason with his back to the crowd and hood over his head. Sara slides the hood off his head as Diana walks ahead of them. Sara and Jason play to the fans a bit dancing to the music while Diana walks down the ramp. Diana holds the rope for them to get in while Sara and Jason get in-ring and she slides his jacket off him before leaving the ring with him glaring at the person warming up in the corner looking very serious to fight.
Martinez: It might be bad news for the other four competitors in this match, but I have to say that Darna Dare looks fresh!
Loydson: She needs to be fresh; a loss here will serve the winner well when it comes time to take that shiny championship belt away from her, and Jason Hunter could easily be the one to do it.
Chriqui: From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and weighing in at one hundred and twenty two pounds... The Gaijin Assassin... RUBY CLIFTON!!!

Dark red lights begin flicker through the arena as "Thank You For Hating Me" by Citizen Soldier begins to blare over the speakers as Ruby Clifton steps out from behind the curtain with Black Velvet right beside her. The crowd isn't thrilled to see her as Ruby is grinning from ear to ear. She and Black Velvet walk down the ramp. Ruby slides into the ring and leans in one of the corners.
Chriqui: From New Orleans, Louisiana, and weighing in at one hundred and fifteen pounds... The Cajun Queen... TANJA DEVEREAUX!!!

Pyros hit as videos of bustling crowds in various locations of New Orleans appear on the X-Tron as "Daughters of Darkness" by Halestorm blasts on the P.A. system. Tanja comes out onto the top of the ramp in a style compared to Gail Kim during her early time in TNA before heading down the ramp with some of her black leather coat flows at her feet while the mix of boos and jeers and cheers from the crowd fills the arena. She slaps hands with a few fans at ringside before she reaches the bottom of the ramp.
Tanja walk up towards the ring and enters via under the bottom rope and jumps onto the middle turnbuckle. She poses as she does her usual taunt with a hand and arm in the air as "Daughters of Darkness" continues to play. Tanja steps off the turnbuckle as she removes the leather coat and throws it into a random corner.
Martinez: Bad blood between those two, folks.
Loydson: And that blood is gonna flow tonight! Devereaux will not be denied, and Clifton? She's just crazy.
Chriqui: From Takayama, Japan, and weighing in at one hundred and twenty... The Love Child... JAMIE LOVE!!!

The opening instrumental plays as the lights go dim leaving only the stage lit. As the lyrics start Jamie comes out and center stage with his father on his left and Maria on his right. He looks at both of them before walking down the ramp with them behind him with his father jeering at the people in the front row and Maria giving him last minute advice. When he gets into the ring he does some last minute warm ups as he waits for the match to begin.
Loydson: Ha. Remember when he looked lost out there, Martinez?
Martinez: I sure do! Now, do my eyes mistake me or does he look like a future champion?
DING DING DING
With the rules relaxed, nobody heeds that Jason Hunter has yet to re-enter the ring; or, almost nobody. Darna has noticed, and the diminutive champeen is taking off the second the bell rings, lunging between the other competitors to curtail the Prince of Wrestling's machinations with a plancha suicida! Sara gets caught in the crossfire, and all three go tumbling as Diana furiously stamps after Darna, pulling the Pinoy up by her hair.
Back in the ring, Clifton takes the opportune distraction to tear into Devereaux, hitting her flank-on with a scything elbow blast to the cheek, following up with a flurry of kicks to work her way behind the taller woman into a hammerlock, striking upside her head with the Red Samurai Slash! Tanja hits the deck, Ruby staggering in the aftermath of the lariat right into the waiting clutches of Jamie Love, who wears a cheeky smile as if to say: 'remember me?' He uses a single underhook as the fulcrum for a scissor-leg takedown, then floats right on into a camel clutch in the dead center of the ring.
On the outside, Diana has Darna on her feet for a thunderous low blow that only makes the crazed exorcist LAUGH, before swiftly wiping her aggressor out with a rolling wheel kick. Dare tumbles into a roll from there, and pops into an astonishing vertical leap to bring a flying forearm to bear on the risen Hunter. Jason blocks it with an 'x' guard, clattering against the barricade, shifting his arms to catch Dare around the waist and sling her into the front of the crowd!
Love gets a little involved in punishing the Gaijin Assassin, and is summarily ripped off by a recovered Devereaux, who hauls him into her clutches, drives a knee to the chest and wipes him out with a butterfly suplex, the ring still quaking as she hops to her feet and jumps over the top rope. Her gaze is intent upon Ruby Clifton, who swears as she struggles back to vertical base, only to be planted and pinned with a slingshot DDT from the returning voodoo priestess!

KICKOUT!
Martinez: Kickout from Ruby Clifton, this all could have been over there folks. One fall finishes them all!
Loydson: You've got to have eyes in the back of your head for a match like this.
Dare and Hunter are brawling into the crowd, and it's a bad exchange for the champion - she's ferocious, and goes blow-for-blow, but is giving up a lot of weight and power. Back and forth they go, chop for chop, kick for kick, elbow for elbow, both covered in red marks and welling bruises by the time they're halfway up the steps into the backend of the arena.
Clifton and Devereaux are similarly trading shots, but they each have another problem, and Jamie Love picks his moment, inserting himself in what seems the moment of a double-down, spinning out sideways as he leaps backfirst into Tanja, and seizes a headlock. Simultaneously, his ankles loop around the neck of Ruby Clifton, and he reverses his momentum, successfully taking them both out; Ruby is spun on her axis, through the headscissors, to crash down in a seated position, and Devereaux is flipped over into the completion of a rear naked choke. Jamie fights to pull his legs around and apply the scissors to her body, but she's fighting back, and manages to slide an arm into the hold, her other hand digging sharp nails into the injured digits of the Love Child.
Out amongst the delirious fans, the Prince of Wrestling finally seizes true dominance, and counters a spinning elbow strike with a superkick, rattling Darna right in the jaw and pulling her over his shoulders. Staggering not so much under her weight, as the rabidity with which she struggles, Jason steps up onto the nearby balcony, smiles up at the rafters, and then--
--LEAPS off, hurling Dare in front of him, lifting a knee to greet her falling body as he lands on one knee in the middle of the rapidly-parting crowd below. JASON'S DROP! Their shared impact sees bodies flung in every direction, and Darna bounces off, clutching her ribs, into the embrace of two steel chairs. They topple onto her, as Hunter collapses, gripping at his own knee.
Loydson: This is like a damn car crash, it's ugly but I cannot look away!
Martinez: This match might have negative effects on our competitors heading into The B.O.R.T II!
Devereaux is fighting her way out of Love's clutches, denying his hooks and then throwing up an impressively-flexible kick that smashes him right in the nose. First blood, as Love is forced to let go with a pained yell, his technique broken. His hands go reflexively to his face, and Clifton chooses this moment to intervene, snatching those hands in hers, laughing devilishly as she cruelly twists her way into controlling a test of strength Jamie can't hope to win - not with his nagging injuries. Clifton lifts a leg and plants her heel in his bloodied nose, driving forward to send them both toppling over the ropes. Jamie bounces off the apron, but Ruby twists in mid-air, maintaining control of one arm to drive his wrist down beneath her knee. He SCREAMS in pain, hitting the deck with a crash, only for the agony to be re-doubled as Clifton starts to bend back each captured finger in turn.
The torture comes to an end as Devereaux slides out of the ring, smiles humorlessly, and wrenches Ruby up into position for a Death Valley Driver! She takes a couple of steps backward, turns, and then drills the Gaijin Assassin down, right across the ring steps!
Jason Hunter is making his way back through the crowd toward the ring - having yet to actually enter it - and is halfway over the barricade when Dare comes scurrying through the sea he's parted. There's a limp in her step, her dash ungainly, and in both hands behind her she trails a folded chair. Hunter sees her coming too late - he hears an inhuman shriek, and then Darna swings the butt of the chair across his face with an almighty crash! He flops over the barricade as she springs into it, her weapon held aloft in both hands. Hazel eyes are shot with blood, crazed as she stares down at him...
And then somersaults forward, executing a 450 splash AROUND the chair, which leads the way into her collision with Hunter, cleaving into his supine face. Darna herself goes sprawling, leaving the chair and Jason behind as she desperately twists her own momentum into a roll that carries her beneath the apron, under the ring. Sara and Diana pounce to help up Jason, whose face is already a crimson mask.
It's carnage out there. Clifton is writhing and clutching at her damaged spine, Love is sobbing in pain over his freshly-broken hand, Hunter is a bloody, dazed mess, and Darna is nowhere to be seen. Only Devereaux is on her feet, warily glancing along the apron as she circles the ring toward Jason.
Loydson: Tanja, Tanja! She can win this!
Martinez: This is her shot, she better call it!
Ruby finds some assistance of her own, as Black Velvet takes a knee beside her, and gives her a few sharp slaps across the cheeks. Clifton SNARLS at this, surging upright, ready to strike her friend - and then realizes what she's done. Forgetting the pain, she cackles, and looks across at Devereaux and Hunter, who are locking up now, pulling each other toward the ring. With Love and Dare hidden from her, she strides toward the ring, slides in...
...and something bumps against her heels. A kendo stick, studded in diamonds. Black Velvet wanders off around the outside of the ring, whistling nonchalantly. Ruby grins and scoops up her weapon.
Devereaux slams a knee into Hunter, who eats it, shifts his grip to grab her around the throat with one hand, and bounces her head off the apron. Tanja is momentarily stunned, and Hunter slips behind, sending her crashing into the barricade with a rear German before diving into the ring.
*CRACK!* Clifton's cane-sword erupts against the Prince of Wrestling as she slides to his feet, dropping him right back onto his knees. She's about to follow up, when the stick is kicked out of her grip, Jamie Love's boot slamming into her fingers in a small degree of payback. She sneers, and makes a grab for the smaller man, who steps in, quite ready to snake a forearm up and catch her with a Judo throw, snaking his legs around her throat on the canvas. Hunter is back up, and grapevines Clifton's legs, trapping her between the pair of them. She growls and struggles, but there's no way out!
Darna slides back into the ring, and right into a Rolling Thunder across the small body of Love, who is forced to relinquish his hold. He spins to his feet, gasping, and Dare comes in again, catching him with an acrobatic leg lariat straight into a handspring cartwheel that brings her heel down atop the bloodied head of Hunter! Neither man is out, however, and as Clifton pulls herself away onto the apron, the champion finds herself between the pair of them.
Love throws technique to the wind, and launches himself forward into a combination of kicks that culminate in a cleaving forearm smash that Dare almost evades - but Hunter slides beneath her, holding her in place for the blow. She's stunned, and Jamie Love takes a step back as the Prince of Wrestling lifts the exorcist onto his shoulders and brings her crashing down onto both knees this time! The Prince Stomp! She's flattened out, and he swoops in for the cover.

Darna kicks out in the same instant that Love decides to break it up himself, pulling Hunter off, his face angry - and then he's pulled around by Devereaux, who scoops him across her shoulders and into the CITY OF THE DEAD! He's drilled down by the side slam, and she rises into a gut kick from Ruby Clifton, who uses her purchased moment to tie Tanja up for a scissored DDT. Silent but Deadly! Clifton goes to cover, but eats a flipping leg drop from Jason Hunter, who pulls her up in the aftermath and goes right into the Hunter's Drop Zone! The psychopath is drilled face-first into the canvas, as Hunter kisses his fingertips and sends them heavenward in honor of his father.
Jamie is back on his feet, and Jason looks across at him. He offers his hand, and after an uncertain hesitation Jamie moves to accept it. No! Despite his injuries, he grabs on and whips Jason into the ropes, meeting him with a dropkick! Jason lands backfirst, and rolls straight to his feet, only to eat a hard superkick from Love, flush on the chin! The Prince of Wrestling bounces off the ropes, ragdolling as Jamie rockets in with a spear that carries the pair of them to the outside!
The Love Child is up first, beating his chest, the crowd rallying behind him-- but Hunter spoils the moment, stumbling into a kick to the gut and then a whipcrack of a roundhouse kick across the face. Jamie is spun around into Sara, who hits the floor hard. Jason's eyes are wide, as Diana stares at him aghast, and he holds up his hands, trying to explain his mistake to an incensed Jamie Love.
Jamie GROWLS, going from zero to a hundred, with a full steam spear that sends Jason right into the steps. Jamie doesn't stop there, hauling Jason up by the head and bouncing him not once, not twice, but three times against the sharp steel! Hunter is bleeding from the face and skull now, dropped into a rapidly-forming puddle of his own blood as Love staggers back, chest heaving.
Darna Dare wipes him the fuck out with a searing corkscrew crossbody from the top rope, introducing the Littlest Love to the barricade, where he flops up and over into the crowd. Darna pauses to help up Sara, and dust her off, only to scamper away when Diana yells and starts toward her. Dare is grinning as she runs, paying too little attention to Black Velvet - who intercepts her with an extended foot, pitching the US Champ face-first onto the floor.
In the ring, it's Clifton and Devereaux once more. They've accelerated rapidly to trading huge shots; a Shiny New Tools savate kick from Clifton, a straightjacket Hoodoo neckbreaker from Tanja. Clifton fights her way up on the ropes, ducking an incoming lariat from Devereaux to hit the opposite set of ropes, leap up, and springboard back in with a flying lariat of her own; the Velvet Ropes! The impact is tremendous, but Devereaux manages to trip Clifton as she goes down, face a mask of savage fury - fighting past the pain with determination as she locks the smaller woman up with an Indian deathlock. The Bayou St. John! Ruby is caught!
Ruby...
Is saved by Darna Dare, of all people? The US Champion whirls through the ropes into the ring, launches herself into the Kalabaw Hunting Horn, her knee hitting a crushing impact on Devereaux! The hold is released immediately, and Clifton scrambles out, limping, turning into the oncoming train of Dare. She's over-eager, the champ, and Ruby thinks fast to counter, hauling her up and over...
But Darna is too slippery, too flexible. She keeps going, spins out to catch Clifton in a crucifix hold! Ruby is shocked at the counter, and then a moment later she's battered by wildly-slung elbows as Darna takes her down to the mat, blood staining her joints as she bucks her lithe frame over and over, until Clifton is bloody and insensible in her clutches. Until her shoulders yield to the mat.

DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall ... DARNA DARE!!!
Clifton is out. Hunter and Devereaux remain down, with Love just pulling himself up onto the apron as the bell rings. He falls back as the rising Darna wastes no time in lunging toward him, falling against the ropes with a hand extended, clawing toward Love's face. He shakes his head, wags a finger toward her, and points at the devastated form of Jason Hunter. "That's going to be you," he promises, to which Dare only grins, settling back onto her haunches and then sliding to seat herself cross-legged as the crowd cheers her victory. Her arms spread, palms turned upward.
"This!" She hoarsely crows, "Is my ring!"
The title is dropped into her lap from behind, and she grabs it in both hands, thrusting it forward.
"This is MY title!!"
Martinez: We had no idea what to expect, but it's the Bronze Scorpion who stamps her authority on this one. She was furious from the outset, kept on like a tiny ball of rage, and succeeded. Call her crazy, call her unhinged, but the BORT awaits her. Is she the favorite now, Loydson?
Loydson: Wasn't she anyway? All five competitors brought it tonight, they put their bodies on the line and we saw some intriguing moments that I'm sure we'll revisit down the line. This is just a taste of what's to come in the BORT, boys and girls.
As (Dare/whoever happens to win the match) celebrates the victory, the feed cuts backstage inside UBS Arena, where Brian Spade stands in front of a generic EWC backdrop, microphone in hand.
Spade: Ladies and gentlemen, joining me at this time… ‘The Gambler,’ Ace King.
The Long Island crowd cheers as the camera pans out to show the former two-time Undisputed Champion, who appears much more casual than he did in his earlier pre-taped message to Melody Malone, in a more standard t-shirt and jeans combination.
Spade: Ace, this is obviously the first anybody has heard from you live since the events of StrangleMania. Given your history in these situations, I have to ask: Where is your mind at right now?
Ace initially appears irritated by the question, allowing an awkward silence to envelope the pair for a bit longer than usual. Eventually, he calms himself down enough to give Spade his cordial attention.
Ace King: It goes without saying, but what happened in New Delhi? It was brutal, no matter how you slice it. Would it have stung less if the tie had gone my way, giving me a record-tying third Undisputed Championship? Of course it would have… but at the same time, I turned 40 a couple days later, so the healing doesn’t get any easier.
As Spade appears ready to interject, Ace gives the interviewer a subtle look to leave him silent.
Ace King: In saying all that, it would also be easy for the average person to look at what happened at StrangleMania, not to mention my rocky start to 2022, and suggest I’m finally hitting the downside of my career… How quickly they all forget.
At this point, Ace looks over to Spade, who casually hands him the microphone and steps out of the shot, the camera focused squarely on ‘The Gambler.’
Ace King: I’ve been a standardbearer in EWC, and ESPECIALLY on Friday Night Rampage, longer than most of the roster has been here. That guy?
The intensity rises in Ace’s expression as he pounds his chest emphatically.
Ace King: THAT GUY’S STILL IN HERE, GODDAMNIT! There was already enough motivation behind my entry into the second annual Best of Rampage Tournament, because I was starting to feel like people were taking the contributions I’ve made and THE STANDARD I HELPED SET on Friday nights for granted.
Ace’s veins pulse subtly from his neck as he stares the camera down, maintaining a white knuckle grip on the microphone.
Ace King: Last year, I demanded that the BORT field put their heart and soul into this to show the world what it meant to them to be on Friday Night Rampage, but now, I’ve got to put my money where my mouth is. I was already hungry enough for this year’s BORT to begin with, but now with StrangleMania in the rearview mirror, when I’m left feeling like I’ve still got something to prove? Look. The. Fuck. Out.
Once the final word comes out of his mouth, Ace’s body language relaxes almost immediately, his grip loosening as the microphone falls weakly to the ground. ‘The Gambler’ slowly walks off the set, leaving an empty set as the feed cuts to...

MATCH FOUR
Alexandra Calaway VS Mark Storm
SINGLES MATCH - B.O.R.T II ROUND 1!
"The First Match Of B.O.R.T II, Calaway Vs Storm!"
REF: Toyo Yasahiro
We return to ringside and cut over to the commentary booth.
Martinez: It's time for our semi-final match of the evening, the first match of The B.O.R.T II!
Loydson: Tourney action starts here tonight with Alexandra Calaway Vs Mark Storm, this match could set the tone of the entire tournament so I hope they don't give us a stinker!
Chriqui: The following match is a singles match in The Best Of Rampage II Tournament! Introducing first from Dallas Texas & weighing in at 110 pounds... ALEXANDRA CALAWAY!!!

The lights go down and "Bloody Knuckles" by Sleeping With Sirens starts to play. The arena is filled with Red and lights and fog. The Silhouette of Alexandra can be seen at the top of the ramp. She poses on the top of the ramp and as the beat drops, she starts to make her way down the ramp, towards the ring. Stopping halfway down the ramp, she stops looking out over the crowd, before continuing on. She smirks seeing some of the signs people made, a cocky smirk crosses her face.
Finishing her walk down the ramp, she climbs onto the ring apron and up onto the turnbuckle. She slips into the ring and poses on the ropes, leaning forward on the ropes, sometimes talking shit with people in front row as she waits for her opponent.
Chriqui: And her opponent from Brooklyn, New York & weighing in at 225 pounds... MARK STORM!!!

'Short Change Hero' by The Heavy begins to play through the PA system, emerging from the back is Your Hero and Mine, who has a smile etching onto his face as he stands on the top of the entrance ramp.
Appearing on the tron behind him is the graphic:

Storm begins to make his way to the ring, high-fiving a few of the fans in the front row before leaping onto the apron and striking a pose, nodding his head in appreciation to the reception he's getting. He enters the ring, climbing up onto the top rope and once again, poses for the fans, a grin stretching from ear to the other as his theme song slowly fades in the background.
Martinez: Alexandra Calaway isn't interested in any height or weight advantage Mark has, she thinks her speed and striking will be more advantageous here and she is looking to win this match and put a little stank on it in the process.
Loydson: But that height and weight advantage, it might just blow that stank back into her face and NOTHING is worse than your own farts.
DING DING DING
The bell rings and we are underway with Alexandra Calaway taking no chances and immediately rolling out of the ring. Mark Storm gives chase and Calaway keeps about five foot of distance between them before ducking back into the ring. As Storm enters Calaway stomps his face into the canvas and then mounts him for a series of furious punches. Calaway drags the bigger man up to a knee and spins into a kick that connects against the side of his face! Calaway drags Storm into a headlock and jams a thumb into Storm's eye, sending him stumbling backwards into a neutral corner blinded. Calaway rushes in for a rolling elbow but Storm gets out of the way at the last second. Calaway smashes her elbow into the top turnbuckle and grabs at it in pain before turning around into Storm who lands a picture perfect arm-drag using the hurt arm. Calaway gets up to her feet, but a lariat from Storm slams her down! Storm drags Calaway up, but Calaway goes for the eyes again and Storm backs off.
Martinez: Storm's game plan seems to be, work over the arm and get in power when you can.
Loydson: While Calaway seems to be working just to discombobulate Storm.
Storm rushes Calaway and goes for another lariat, Calaway easily ducks it and then spins to attack but Storm baited her in! He spins around like the flash and catches her on the chin with a rolling kesagiri chop! Alexandra Calaway stumbles backwards and Storm grabs her into another arm-drag! Storm maintains wrist control and he drags Calaway up into a European uppercut that grounds her yet again! Storm still refuses to drop wrist control as he drags Calaway up to her feet, into a hip-toss! Storm hits the ropes and goes for a dropkick but Alexandra rolls out of the way! Calaway to her feet, Mark Storm up and ROLLING ELBOW from Calaway catches Storm on the jaw and drops him to a knee. Calaway takes a few steps back and then jumps into a v-trigger knee strike right between Storm's eyes! Storm hits the ground like a sack of potatoes!

Loydson: Calaway almost had that victory, but Storm's ring awareness keeps him alive!
Martinez: Smart thinking from Mark, he's a regular Smark!
Calaway lets out a yell as she gets to her feet. She grabs at her injured arm and shakes it around to get some feel back into it. She grabs Mark by the face and drags him up to a knee, quick two-piece punch combo stuns Mark. Calaway shoves Mark's head between her legs again and grabs on a double-underhook. Mark Storm stands up and drops Calaway onto her shoulder with a back-body drop! Calaway yells in pain at her arm while Storm drags her up by her hair! Storm drags Calaway backwards into a hair-pull lariat to the back of her head! STORMSTRIKE! Storm drags Calaway to the middle of the ring and makes the cover.

Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall and advancing in The B.O.R.T II ... MARK STORM!!!
Mark Storm offers Alexandra a hand, but she bats it away and gets to her feet. Calaway shoves past Storm to argue with the ref but he exits the ring. Calaway glares at Storm who is playing to the crowd before walking off.
Martinez: Mark Storm progresses in The B.O.R.T II, but I think he may have made an enemy today. Did he win the battle, but start a war in the process?
Loydson: Alexandra Calaway is NOT someone I'd want to go to war with, that is for sure.

The X-Tron flickers into life, though the screen remains dark as a lone, familiar voice begins to regale us with a familiar tale.

Voiceover: They said that a guy like me would never be a fit for the X-Division…
The screen cuts to grainy, glitch-ridden footage of King Flip stapling El Pablo’s masked face at Paramount #11.
Voiceover: They said I'd never beat Stitches to become the champion…
Another cut shows EP smashing the Carnival Clown’s face into shards of broken glass with Taste the Rainbow at Rumble XVIII.
Voiceover: They certainly didn’t think I’d be able to retain that belt against four different contenders at WrestleFest…
The screen glitches once more, showing the Tecnico Painting the Face of Jamie Love before pinning him for the victory in Rio de Janiero.
Voiceover: …and they were sure that I’d never defend it against Darius at StrangleMania.
Footage now from EWC’s last Pay-Per-View, as El Pablo hits the Five Star Express against a backdrop of roaring flames. At this point, the camera cuts to the X-Division Championship belt resting upon a wooden tabletop beneath a single spotlight, its golden faceplate scuffed, scorched and speckled with what appears to be a combination of blood spatter and Skittles dust. From out of the darkness behind it steps the Technicolour Tecnico himself, a wry smirk upon his masked face and a can of Skittles-infused Brooklyn Lager in his hand.
El Pablo: So, as the Rainbowlution rolls towards a landmark two-hundred days as X-Division Champion…as we prepare to outrank Eddie Crank and move into prime position for a showdown with the legacy of the great Nurse Harlow Kinsley…I thought it only fitting that we take a moment to raise a toast.
EP pulls the tab on his can, taking a moment to savour the aroma that escapes from within before holding it aloft in front of the camera.
El Pablo: Here’s to the next thing I’ll “never be able" to do.
Viva la Rainbowlution.
The Tecnico takes a satisfying sip as ‘Party Hard’ briefly hits the airwaves before the footage fades to black.

Lavender VS Karver
SINGLES MATCH - B.O.R.T II ROUND 1!
"The Second Match Of B.O.R.T II, Lavender Vs Karver!"
REF
We return to ringside and cut over to the commentary booth.
Martinez: It's time for our main event, the second match of The B.O.R.T II. It is Lavender taking on Karver.
Loydson: This match could play out very similarly to Alexandra Calaway Vs Mark Storm, it's size Vs speed at the end of the day.
Chriqui: The following match is a singles match and a first round match-up for The Best Of Rampage Tournament. Introducing first from Hells Kitchen New York & weighing in at 212 pounds... KARVER!!!

"The Man Comes Around" by Johnny Cash fills the arena's speakers, bellowing Cash's guilty-sounding vocals into the ears of the fans. The feeling in the air is a sense of pride, as Karver enters through the back. His chin is to his chest as his eyes are shut, saying a final prayer in his head before looking up to the bright lights. He points a single finger in the air, dedicating this match to the friends, family, and loved ones he's lost in his life. It's time to get to business, as he enters the ring with intent to win.
To hear his name announced to those in attendance gives him motivation, and the fan's cheers is the ammo he needs to put a bullet in the win column. He wastes no time, running the ropes and testing their durability before the match begins.
Martinez: Karver is back in the main event after falling just short to Phoenix Winterborn in a HBO Broadcast Championship match. Today he faces Lavender in B.O.R.T II action.
Loydson: And I hear Karver is the odds on favorite coming into this match.
Chriqui: And his opponent weighing in at 132 pounds... LAVENDER!!!

The lights go out as 'Imaginary' by Evanescence begins to play. The lights flash in time to the guitar riff. The song kicks into its first verse as smoke billows from behind the curtains and a spotlight shined down upon the center of the stage. When the chorus kicks in the lights come back on and out walks Lavender. She looks out across the crowd as the crowd erupts into cheer. A smile creeps across her face as she embraces their warm welcome.
Lavender begins to make her way down to the ring. As Lavender reaches ringside she walks over to the steel steps, walks up them and enters the ring before climbing the nearest turnbuckle and holding her arms up high in the air. Lavender steps down from the turnbuckle and waits for the match to commence.
Martinez: Lavender made waves at StrangleMania when she won the Hellevator match.
Loydson: And despite Karver being the odds on favorite here, anyone can win on any given day!
DING DING DING
Karver and Lavender size each other up, both waiting for the other to move first. They slowly make their way into the center of the ring and Lavender actually looks for a shoulder/collar tie-up with the bigger man. They tie-up, but Karver quickly pulls Lavender into a kitchen sink. His knee smashes into her stomach and sends her flying over while grabbing and dry-heaving. Karver drags Lavender up and throws her down with a hip-toss, keeping her from catching her wind. Karver pulls Lavender up and throws her over his head with a high-angle back suplex that gets more sauce than expected.
Martinez: Karver may already have Lavender right where he wants her!
Loydson: This could be over in a matter of minutes.
Karver drags Lavender up and throws her down with a one-handed spinebuster. Karver goes for the cover. ONE... KICKOUT BY LAVENDER. Karver drags Lavender up by her head and hits another spinebuster. Karver drags Lavender up and slams her down with a third. Karver drags Lavender up and gets her head between his legs... piledriver! Lavender's head spikes clean into the canvas. Karver goes for a cover. ONE!... TWO!!... THREE... KICKOUT BY LAVENDER!!!
Loydson: Lavender is still in this match, but for how long?
Martinez: I really don't know Phil. I think this is going to end poorly.
Karver drags Lavender up into a waist-lock. Karver headbutt's Lavender in the back of her head before spinning the waist-lock into a ripcord and flinging his bicep towards Lavender like a speeding bullet... Lavender rolls through and avoids contact with the lariat. Karver spins around to face Lavender and she jumps up on him into a side-headlock. She swings her whole body up, putting herself in suplex position, before swinging down and bringing Karver with her into a DDT! Karver spikes clean onto his head and he seems out of it! Lavender makes the cover! ONE!... KICKOUT BY KARVER!
Martinez: Karver still has too much in the tank, but that desperation DDT from Lavender may have just got her the win.
Loydson: I think it definitely changed the tides of the match. Lavender, getting dumped on her head is brutal but she can recover faster because of her size. Karver is a big man, that is a lot of pressure on the skull.
Karver is hurt, he gets to a knee and Lavender lands another DDT flush! Lavender drags herself up the ring ropes. Karver pulls himself up, he stumbles around in the center of the ring. Lavender rushes him and jumps into a flying hip attack, it's poetry in motion! Karver flies backwards into the neutral corner. Lavender yells at the top of her lungs and then she rushes Karver and lands a corner clothesline! Lavender drags Karver out of the corner and grabs on a side-headlock. Lavender pulls and pulls, she yells and groans and she get's Karver up! Suple... Karver fights his way out of the suplex and grabs Lavender's wrist. Karver spins Lavender around and fires his bicep into the back of her head! LONG ARM OF THE LAW! Karver falls backwards into the corner, grabbing at his head.
Loydson: I think whoever can get in the next move, they will win this match.
Martinez: I think you're right. This will come down to whoever can connect next.
Karver pulls himself out of the corner, he headbutts the turnbuckles and then he turns to face the still downed Lavender. Karver pulls Lavender up into a waist-lock, he goes for the ripcord but Lavender turns it into a wrist-lock. HEADBUTT FROM LAVENDER! Lavender kicks Karver in his left knee to down the bigger man. Lavender wraps Karver's arm around her leg and then she jumps over him pulling him into a magistral cradle with his shoulders down and her entire body in a deadweight cover!

DING DING DING
Chriqui: And your winner, via pinfall and advancing in The B.O.R.T II ... LAVENDER!!!
Karver kicks out of the cradle at 3.5, Lavender doesn't move, or maybe she can't move. Karver stands up but he stumbles, his head damage really sitting in with the adrenaline dying. Karver stumbles out of the ring, he shoves off a doctor and makes his way to his locker-room. Lavender is helped up by a ringside doctor and then a security guard helps escort her to the back. While on the ramp, Lavender turns to the crowd and holds up three fingers to symbolize three matches left to win The B.O.R.T II!
Martinez: Karver put up a hell of a fight. But the bigger you are, the harder a fall onto your head will hurt you.
Loydson: Lavender took a lot of damage and will be feeling this one for weeks, but at the end of the day she played a good ballgame and got the win.
Martinez: Thanks for tuning into Friday Night Rampage with us folks. We'll see you next time for B.O.R.T II Day II!!
