OFFICIAL EWC PRIME CONTRACT
SALLY TALFOURD (S.25)
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Birth Name: Seon-yeong Kwon
Wrestling Name: Sally Talfourd
Nicknames: The Last Magician
Picture Base: Bae Suzy
Date of Birth: 9/6/1985
Height: 5’ 11”
Weight: 125 Lbs
Place of Birth: Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province, South Korea
Billed From (if different from POB): As per POB
CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character Disposition / Alignment: Chaotic Evil – Sally has fallen from grace and now finds herself an outcast, struggling with isolation, guilt, and a sense of alienation that had descended on her since the loss of the EWC Undisputed Championship and, with it, he connection to the Magic. It no longer speaks to her in the way it once did, and without that guiding voice Sally no longer has the direction or the rules that once contained her.
Brief Explanation of Character's Gimmick: Sally is the Last Magician - a dangerous force to behold and contend with when the Magic speaks through her. Now, though, the Magic is silent and the vacuum in Sally's mind is now a place where cynicism meets self-deprecation, and where a veneer of humour only thinly masks a persistent melancholy. In the end, having lost everything of value, Sally cherishes nothing and loves none. Should she be destroyed in the process of sharing her despair - so be it.
Ring Attire: Sally will come to the ring with a traditional, simple hanbok - black jacket with a maroon skirt. She wrestles in ornate costumes. Black and red is the flavour, with bows, frills and sequins. Knee-high boots with knee-pads that have the drawn image of a dragon's head. See any outfit of Maki Itoh (here and here) for the same style.
Backstage Attire: Sally is a fashionplate, looking as though she's just walked out of the latest Vanity Fair or Vogue. Everything matches: From the clothes, to the make-up, down to the accessories. She prides herself on her head-to-toe appearance. Dark and muted colours these days - black, maroon, red, the occasional splash of white.
Manager: Gone and lost to the shadows and wind.
Stable/Faction Affiliation(s): If anyone one would have her, they are not long for this world.
Known Allies: Who is an ally of the lost?
Known Enemies: Who dares stand against the desperate?
THEME SONG & ENTRANCE
Theme Music: 'Vogel im käfig' by YOUSEEBIGGIRL/T:T
SHORT ENTRANCE: The lights fade down, leaving only the trail of lights across the stage and down the ramp to the ring. 'Vogel im käfig' by YOUSEEBIGGIRL/T:T hits the speakers. After a wait for the music to build, at the first crest, in time with the beat, Sally walks to the front of the stage, a slight sway in her posture, head tilting downward as she cast sidelong glances at the arena around her. From nowhere, Sally lets out a sharp scream, then slowly makes her way to ringside, shadows cast upwards by the ramp lights.
Stone: Making her way to the ring this evening, weighing in at one-hundred and twenty-five pounds, standing in at five feet and ten inches, she is ‘The Last Magician’ Sally Talfourd!”
Sally stands at the base of the steps to the ring, eyes alive with a haunting intensity that seemed to look past everything before her. Methodically, she climbs the steps, steps through the ropes and strides to the centre of the ring.
There's a tension in her face, a suggestion of thoughts left unspoken and worries half-buried beneath her outward calm. Making her way to the ropes, she stretches herself out, preparing for the match and welcoming the pain to come.
MAIN EVENT / PPV ENTRANCE: The buzz of the crowd falls silent as the lights fade down. Everyone finds themselves in a faded tableau of muted colors and dim, gray light, as if the world had taken on a quiet sorrow. After a moment of nothing, there's the crackling of an old recording, and then a voice, distorted, warped and deep:
"My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
The Extreme-tron begin to flicker to life with old reel of film showing various clips from home videos, shots of children, mountains rising in the distance, bygone relics of a person's life. Underneath it all, the sound of a heart beating, a steady rhythm.
No thing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The Extreme-tron continues to flicker with the images of an era bygone. The final clip comes to focus on a figure - a woman moving through the street like a woman out of place, her figure slightly hunched, shoulders drawn inward as if to shield herself from the invisible weight she carried.
The lone and level sands stretch far away.
There's a pause, the only sound a beating heart, and then the beginning of Vogel im käfig by YOUSEEBIGGIRL/T:T comes across the PA, the music swelling across the arena. The fan's reception is a chorus of boos. The Extreme-tron still shows the silhouette of a lone woman standing in the shadows, her presence an enigma, as if she were a wandering ghost, not fully anchored to the ground she trod, a stranger even to her own life. Then, mirroring that shot and overlaying it, a sole spotlight fades in at the top of the ramp, and we find 'The Last Magician' Sally Talfourd with her back to the arena, a perfect replica of the silhouetted figure. The crowd gets louder as Sally turns to face the crowd as the first swell of the music hits.
Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, making her way to the ring ... 'The Last Magician' .......... Sally Talfourd!
Sally lowers her arms, raises her head, and makes her way down the ramp. The her face is cast in shadow as the spotlight follows her as she makes a direct line to the ring. She climbs the stairs and walks to the midpoint of the side, bowing her head, and proceeds to unwrap herself from her hanbok, passing the jacket and then the skirt to a nearby attendant. Jeers emanate from the shadows of the crowd. Stepping through the ropes, Sally takes up position in her corner of the ring, stretching her legs on the ropes and readying herself for the match.
PERFORMANCE INFORMATION
Tendency to Cheat (Delete ALL that do NOT apply):
- [x] Sometimes (as required)
Favorite Match Types: Those where wrestling is the showcase – submission, ironman – as tag team matches with a partner she can trust.
Least Favorite Match Types: Hardcore matches, and like matches where the rules have been thrown out the window.
Favorite Weapon: The Magic
Fighting Style: Technical Wrestling - Sally is all about wearing the opponent down and grinding away at a particular weakness until either she or the opponent gives out. She will pick a spot and work it over in the match to create a weak link, then use her assets to her advantage, favouring leg-based offence in her action. All the while, she's doing it all with a smile.
Ring Strategy: Sally's strategy will always be - first and foremost - to keep the match a wrestling affair. Keep the action within the ropes. Keep the match on the mat and drag it out to wear down the opponent, exhausting their body and mind. Then, just keep that up and wait for the opening. In her return, Sally has total disregard for herself, her opponent and anyone's safety. She has lost everything; why shouldn't everyone?
In-Ring Strengths: Sally knows wrestling in-and-out. If her opponent knows a hold, she probably knows a counter. If the opponent takes a match to the mat, she’s a better chance of winning than losing. Time, experience, and dedication to the art of wrestling have placed her at the peak of the sport even with time away. Now, with the Magic having abandoned her and with it all the rules and guidance it brought, there is a malice to her offence and a strategy that involves more pain and more punishment for the opponent.
In-Ring Flaws: Sally is in the latter years (maybe last years) of her career, and so the youth and vitality that propelled her to her former heights have left her. She carries the wear-and-tear that her wrestling style brings naturally – her knees are held together by strings. Compounding the issues is her wilful ignorance of all this wherein pushes herself further than she can or should. When a match goes too long, her body will let her down.

MINI BIOGRAPHY
Sally debuted in 2003 at World Wrestling Competition, being taken under the wing by mentors Rick Raven and Steve 'Pin' Joo. Growing in skill and reputation, Sally took herself to a number of other companies (Ontario Pro, Brother's World Wrestling, World Wrestling Entertainment:Total Revolution, World Professional Wrestling) where fans and peers alike would often find her speaking of her Magic and the drive it gave her, leading to her monicker: The Last Magician. Eventually, Sally settled into the Professional Wrestling Association in 2007 where she would find her earliest successes - including the PWA Championship three times, the PWA Intercontinental Championship four times and the PWA Tag Team Championships with close friend and confidant Leila Farrahi. However, it wasn't long before both women found themselves fighting against - rather than with - one-another. Unfortunately, before the two could finally square off in the ring one final time, the PWA closed its doors.
Looking for a new home, and a place to settle their differences, Sally and Leila found their way to Action Packed Wrestling in 2010. At their first pay per view - Mayhem, 2010 - the two fought to the bitter end, with Sally coming out on top and - in the process - starting what would be her defining chapter. As she began to use through the ranks in APW and showed that the Magic was still a force to be reckoned with, she would go on to win Test for the Best 2010, though come up short in her match for the APW Undisputed Championship against then champions Level-One at Shockwave 2010. Looking to rebound and prove her worth, Sally entered and won the KAPOW War Treaty Tournament 2010. Off the back of this success, she was named to the 2010 One Night in Hell's elimination chamber match for the APW Undisputed Championship. Despite being named as one of the starting entrants, Sally ultimately went on to last to the final pair, squaring off with Level-One and, ultimately, pinning him. Sally became the first female APW Undisputed Champion, going from bell-to-bell in the chamber match. Once more, Sally had shown that the Magic of the Last Magician was still with her.
Sally's title run continued through the latter parts of 2010, including a defence against Level-One at Christmas Chaos 2010. There she was victorious in a hard-fought singles match. Bringing the year to a close, and in recognition for her achievements in 2010, Sally was awarded the Face of the Year, Feud of the Year (shared with Level One), Promo of the Year, Match of the Year (shared with Level-One, for Christmas Chaos) and the APW Megastar of the Year at the APW Year End Awards.
Starting 2011 as the APW Undisputed Champion, Sally was an automatic entrant in the 2011 Survive and Conquer. Here she finished third (and was the last APW megastar to survive) to Terry Marvin and the ultimate winner Ryan Ruckus. This, however, marked a turning point for Sally. Her defeat there triggered a change in Sally, leading her down a darker path. She shunned her fans, APW, and her reputation and spoke of how the Magic she once possessed had changed. This carried into Rasslemania 2011 where Sally would defend her Undisputed Championship against Level One once again. There, at APW's night-of-nights, Sally was defeated - losing both her belt and the Magic - in a No Holds Barred match. After this loss, Sally was absent for a time until she returned to exact revenge on the people she believed caused her downfall - primarily CJ Gates. After months of wandering, Sally was faced with the reality of her strayed ways, and with the help of those who had stood with her before turned a new leaf by the conclusion of 2011. To make amends and win back her fans, she entered the 2011 Experts Tournament where she went undefeated through to the final 8. In the process, Sally and another breakout star from the tournament - Keaton Saint - form the New Experts who become one of the talking points of the tournament.
When 2011 rolled into 2012 , Sally was renewed and fresh. She competed in the Survive and Conquer tournament, finishing 5th out of the 86-persom competition, and then found herself entangled with Level-One again. The two would feud all the way to Rasslemania 2012, where Sally got her revenge for her previous title loss and got the win over Level One once more. Following this, Sally entered her third consecutive Test for the Best in 2012, and finished second in the final match against Terry Marvin. Wanting to build momentum, Sally entered the Defeat the Unknown Tournament 2012, going on to win the tournament with an undefeated performance through 4 rounds. Following this, at One Night in Hell 2012, Sally again went from first entrant to last and won the World Heavyweight Championship in a final showdown against Phil Atken. Phil would prove to be a thorn in Sally's side all the way to Christmas Chaos 2012 - ultimately winning the title from Sally at the end of the year.
As 2013 came around, Sally worked hard to get to the Survive and Conquer extravaganza! Drawing #80, she was a favourite to make it to the finals ... and make it she did. She squared off as one half of the final two in the Hell in the Cell against her old foe Terry Marvin. Terry, however, enacted his promised destruction of Sally, throwing her from the top of the cell, down to the floor to get the win. Broken, battered and bruised Sally took time away to heal her body and the Magic. Also through 2013, Sally began to venture out to other companies, most notably Code Red Wrestling, Vi Wrestling and Pro Wrestling. At the ViW Clash of the Titans tournament, Sally comes second to perennial foe Terry Marvin. Sally also starts her time at Exodus Pro, where alongside Andreas Lasiewicz as the tag team the Turks, the pair would win the Exodus Pro Tag Team Championships.
However, not yet done with APW, Sally continued to channel the Magic within, entering her fourth straight elimination chamber match at One Night in Hell 2013. Again, Sally lasts to the final two, being beaten at the end by Aubrey J Parker. Sally's year comes to a close without a championship but having carved a career-defining three year stint in-and-around APW.
Sally disappeared from the wrestling scene for the first six months of 2014, returning as a member of Gods and Monsters at Exodus Pro, aligning herself with an evil force of the company. Here, the Magic warped and twisted Sally to where she became feared in and out of the ring. For the remainder of the year, Gods and Monsters terrorise the company, seeking to destroy it and all who hope to defend it. After coming so very close to victory, the forces for good stop Sally and her peers, saving Exodus from them.
The event for which 2014 would be most remembered for (in Sally's mind) is the APW reunion show for Rasslemania X. Here Sally would co-main event the card alongside the megastar who had defined her time in APW as much as she had defined his: Level-One. Pushed to their absolute limits in what was reminiscent of their first Rasslemania encounter, Sally would walk out victorious once more over Level One and earning her a career winning record against the legend in the business. When pushed on this, Sally will always cite the Magic and the fans as being the real winners in this.
In 2015, Sally once more returned to Exodus Pro with her sole mission being to redeem herself for her actions in Gods and Monsters. Through the first half of the year, Sally forges a new reputation. Her high point here is coming second in the Exodus Pro Honor Cup Tournament, losing in the final match to the former leader of Gods and Monsters - Christum Furor. This was the final showing of the company, with Exodus Pro coming to a close the following week.
After a brief break, Sally would take part in the 2015 re-launch of APW, going undefeated in the brief return of the company. After this, Sally found her way to Fight One Wrestling in December 2015. Before the year ends, she is the Vendetta Champion.
For the first time in a long time, Sally begins the year as champion. She successfully holds the title until June of 2016 for 192 days. Unfortunately, Fight One closes up not long after and Sally once again looks to find a home. Settling for some time at Total Championship Wrestling and its affiliate Hermanos Extraordinarios de Lucha Libre, Sally took on her first Magician's Apprentice Ji-woo Tae, working as a tag team and perfecting their craft. For the remainder of 2016, the two battle through the tag division, earning a winning record and parting on very good terms.
Looking to rest her body, her mind and the Magic, Sally took time away from wrestling. She took time away from just about everything and retreated to the mountains. Away from the spotlights and the ring, Sally rebuild herself, waiting for the right time to return. To test herself, Sally entered The Experts Super 6 Extreme Tournament in 2018, going through the event undefeated and winning the tournament with a win over Hannah White - the once mentee of Level One.
However, not feeling the Magic just yet, Sally once again retreated from wrestling, staying away from the business until mid-2022 where - finally - Sally made her return via the one company that had loomed large the entire time she had been a wrestler: Extreme Wrestling Corporation. At EWC in 2022, Sally would find some initial success, most notably (and importantly) becoming the CW Broadcast Champion on Paramount. Sally's loss of the belt shook her - the worries of 'if' creeping in combined with her disappointment at having lost the chance to etch an indelible mark on EWC. As the year came to a close, the Last Magician was a bit lost, wondering if 2022 would be the end.
Over the break though, the Magic has returned and Sally enters Season 24 with the aim of rising to the heights she once stood at. After a slow start to the season, the Magic has brought her to new heights, winning the AppleTV+ Broadcast Championship for the second time on Paramount from Tanja Devereaux. Sally would go on to successfully defend her title against Sueñe el Molde and Nika Kosov, leading into Uprising XXIII where it would be Sally, this time, defending the title against Tanja Devereaux. Sally would walk out victorious, seemingly at the height of her reign. The following Paramount, Sally squared off against the North American Champion Ibuki Ito, where she would lose in the champion v champion match, only to boot and rally with another successful defence against Sueñe el Molde the next show. Things outside the ring, though, were a little more dark. Sally's dalliance with the Magic had started to turn, seeing her increasingly shutting herself away from those around her - the most significant being her long time manager and cameraman Shane.
During the 2023 invasion season, Sally returned for her third appearance on Prime, this time squaring off against the formidable and record-setting AMC Broadcast Champion Callie Clark. Against the odds and in a tight match, Sally eeked out the victory, taking her momentum into Parabellum where should would take part in a match pitting all four Broadcast Champion against one-another: Callie Clark (AMC Broadcast Champion), Andrea Hernandez (HBO Broadcast Champion), and Cyrus Black (FX Broadcast Champion). In a simultaneous finish, Callie and Sally both walk out with their hands and belts raised high - and both securing a place in the Insanity Cage at Night of Champions. Noticed by a select few, things began to go awry that night at Parabellum: Moves not seen by Sally in many years, chants from the crowd from a distant memory.
In the lead-up to Night of Champions and the Insanity Cage, realms collided as the Magic, relentless in its pursuit of Sally to this point, finally got sway over her mind. Entering the Cage was a Sally not seen in EWC, and only a distant memory to the fans. Dark, obsessed and looking to redeem those turned away from the Magic, Sally fought alongside Darius, Mercenary, Vin Havoc, Ibuki Ito, Callie Clark, JoJo Rush and Gabrielle Visconty, going through Hell with each and everyone. A year on from having failed in the Cage, Sally would emerge from this one victorious and with a secured spot at the main event of WrestleFest XXI later in the year.
After a successful title defence against Ashley Freeman, Sally would go on to the Rumble, looking to test herself and those who were on her horizon. While being eliminated, Sally came from the match a changed woman, having unleashed something within. Another successful defence against Amber Lisa drew the attention of EWC and its loyal fans, more-so the ending. After retaining her title, six masked figures carried her out of the ring adding a new myserteous dimension to the Magic at work.
Returning for the next Paramount, Sally would take on Marcu$ $t John in her seventh attempt to defend the title. Marcu$ proved to be the better wrestler on the night, ending Sally's run as Paramount's Broadcast champion. After a season's end tour to Brawl and Prime, Sally finished out the Paramount for 2023 having appeared on every show in the year. Ahead now lay two pay per views: One Night Encounter, where she would take on Captain Morgan Darkwater, then WrestleFest where Sally would take part in two matches: against the reigning North American Champion Ibuki Ito for his title, and then against Narumi Tsutsumi and reigning champion Xavier Reid for the EWC Undisputed Championship.
At One Night Encounter, the Magician and the Captain came face to face in a brutal display of wrestling and determination. Despite losing, Sally walked away thinking that was her best loss in a long time. As WrestleFest unfolded, on Day 2 Sally fought tooth-and-nail in a losing effort to Ibuki Ito. After a recovery day, the Magic revealed the destination of the path she'd walked all year where on Day 4 she left WrestleFest and Season 24 as the EWC Undisputed Champion, pinning Narumi Tsutsumi for the title.
In preparation for Season 25, Sally was a busy magician. She first found herself in partnership with the General Manager of Prime Jordan 'Freaking' Sharpe in taking her talents to Prime in a shocking defection from Paramount. Next, at the behest of Saidie Sharpe, Sally found herself brought into the fold of Shinijoshi. Later, despite her efforts, Mercenary declared his intentions to challenge Sally for the EWC undisputed Championship on the season opener of Rampage. All this occurred under the troubling cloud of EWC contract negotiations that were more of a rollercoaster than anyone expected.
Sally entered Season 25 with lofty ambitions, looking to run the board. Appearing at the Prime season opener, Sally defeated Jack Severn and made it clear her intentions regarding her championship reign. Going over to Paramount, Sally collected a pin-fall win over Xavier Reid. On Brawl, she then won by DQ against JoJo Rush who seemed more intent on murdering Sally than pinning her. And then, finally, rounding out the Sally Talfourd Appreciation Tour, Sally made her Rampage debut against Mercenary in her first title defence. In a close-fought match, Sally pinned Mercenary and retained her championship. Little noticed by anyone, this would trigger the Race to 300.
The Race to 300 was a rollercoaster for Sally. Starting on-track with wins over Dalilah Ashe and Alexandra Umbra, there was an unexpected draw against Jason Anderson before an upset loss against Candy. Unbeknownst to most, the victory over Umbra was her 300th win. Coming into the final Prime before Stranglemania, Sally was left to 'correct' the count, registering a "victory" over an unsuspecting fan made to dress as a poor man's Xavier Reid before getting a win over Prime's hotshot recruit Diverwire. This didn't go unnoticed by Xavier Reid who not only called Sally out, but took the blood-soaked shirt of the fan as a memory of what was at stake come Stranglemania. Come Stranglemania XIX, in the Rage Cage main event, Reid handcuffed Sally to the bottom rope to win the match and end her reign as EWC Undisputed Champion.
