CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character Disposition / Alignment: Chaotic Good
Fighting Style: Powerhouse, Brawling, Hardcore
Brief Explanation of Character's Gimmick: Having traversed the most treacherous waters in pursuit of gold and fame, Captain Darkwater has faced many cunning, ruthless and even diabolical foes, besting them all with strength, skill, swagger and a smile. He's plundered the tropics dry, and now sets his sight on the ultimate gold the mainland has to offer: the EWC titles. A lovable rogue, his heart is true under his rough exterior, and if he cheats it's because... well, he's a pirate.
Be prepared for amazing feats of strength, cunning, determination as the Captain cuts his path through the EWC roster with a style as powerful and rough as the treacherous seas themselves!!
In-Ring Strengths: A devastating, powerful brawer and submission specialist with an undefeated history in bare-knuckle brawling circuits throughout the Caribbean. Incredible fortitude and resilience; the thrill of the fight keeps him bouncing back for more no matter how much punishment he's endured, often leaving him a bloodied, raging monster in the ring, staring down his hapless opponent with a fearless gleam in his eye, always ready for more. He's a slightly flamboyant showman, his charm and swagger entertaining the crowd whilst inciting his opponents, who feel he's not taking them seriously (which, most likely, is true). Surprising speed as he's had a lifetime of escaping death by the skin of his teeth, his seas legs making him far more spry than his hulking frame would suggest.
In-Ring Flaws: Can let his showmanship, cockiness and confidence in his strength and abilities get the better of him, sometimes causing him to take more punishment than he should, but usually gets his shit together in time to be a more serious threat. Despite his size, he's still a incredibly large man, and can't always keep up with the smaller, high-flying competitors who can run circles around him... but in such cases it usually only takes one thunderous right-hook from the Captain to level the playing-field... and his opponent.
Ring Attire: The Captain, once his rugged, flowing jacket is removed, fights in a black tight fit tank top, khakis with a belt (complete with ornate golden skull-n-crossbones buckle), lace up ankle length combat boots. ((Think Braun Strowman))
Backstage Attire: Black or brown tricorn hat, knee-length tailed leather coat in crimson or black, complete with holstered flintlock pistols, with gilet waistcoat and ruffled shirt underneath, his trusty cutlass "Black Betsy" sheathed to his belt, and the same style pants and boots he fights in.

THEME SONG & ENTRANCE
Theme Music: "Sunk'n Noweigan" – Alestorm
SHORT ENTRANCE: The lights in the arena cut out as first notes of Captain Morgan's entrance theme, "The Sunk'n Norwegian", kick in and the screens around the arena fade in to the image of a perpetually burning skull-n-crossbones flag rippling in the wind.
A spotlight rises as Morgan saunters confidently out on the stage, holding aloft his obsidian cutlass "Black Betsy", his other hand behind his back. As the music swells to the chorus he plunges the sword down into the stage, causing an explosion of pyros!
When the smoke clears he is holding a wooden tankard aloft, bellowing "One More Fight!" and takes a heavy gulp of the dark grog, liquid and froth splashing out down his thick black beard. Tossing it over his shoulder, he laughs again and starts marching purposefully down the ramp. He enters the ring over top ropes, climbs the nearest turnbuckle and unsheathes his cutlass, holding it aloft with a raucous battle-cry.
PPV ENTRANCE: The lights in the arena cut out as first notes of Captain Morgan's entrance theme, "The Sunk'n Norwegian", kick in and the screens around the arena fade in to the image of a perpetually burning skull-n-crossbones flag rippling in the wind.
Spotlights whip across the crowds, coming to rest on handfuls of Morgan's crew - each pirate dressed for trouble - as they make their way through the fans towards the ring, tankards in hands, yelling and drinking in time with the lyrics "One More Drink!", enjoying their grog with exuberant fans (who don't seem to mind getting splashed with the questionable alcohol), before finally climbing over the barriers to surround the ring, whipping the fans into a frenzy before the lights finally cut to the mainstage...
The spotlight rises on Morgan, sat on an elaborate throne, the back above his head an ornate skull-n-crossbones. He's sat there, stoic and calm, hands resting on the pommel of his cutlass "Black Betsy" as it rests, point first, on the toe of his thick black boots. As the cheers from both his crew and fans rise, he raises the cutlass along with it, holding it high above his head as fire erupts from the eye-sockets of the skull, and continue to burn fiercely as he slowly stands, sheathes his sword, cracks his knuckles and neck, smirks with a devilish glint in his eye... and pounds his open palm to the erruption of pyros!
The Brawlin' Buccaneer marches down the ramp, high and low fiving fans along the way, and snatches two tankards from the outstretched hands of his crew, raising them high for all to see, and pours them both into his open mouth at once, frothy brown liquid absolutely drenching the hulking man as his crew finish their drinks as well. Tossing the tankards into the crowds, Morgan jostles and roughhouses with his men, practically fighting his way through them as he climbs into the ring, truly pumped up and ready to fight like never before. Disrobing his coat and detaching his sword from his belt, he hands them to a crewman before gesturing for them all to leave, and they scurry back up the ramp, taking his throne with them, leaving the Captain alone in the ring, a devilish grin on his roguish features as he waits for his opponent/the starting bell.
(Change the last bit as appropriate, depending on his entrance order).

PERFORMANCE INFORMATION
Tendency to Cheat:
- [x] Rarely - and when he does, it's usually in a goodhearted nature, to play to the crowds or wind-up his opponent.
Motivation to Compete:
- [x] Glory; Looking to return and cement himself as one of the greatest of all-time, the second Saga of Darkwater begins now.
- [x] Going for Gold; He's had a taste of the titles before, and now he's back and hungry for more - for all of them!
- [x] Other; FUN; life is one big adventure to him.
Favorite Match Types: Extreme Rules, Submission, Hell in a Cell, Ironman, Hardcore/Street Fights - basically, any match that allows him to go all out, overpowering and wearing down his opponents in any and every way.
Least Favorite Match Types: Cage Matches - he finds it unsporting for a match to focus on running away as the means of winning.
[OPTIONAL] Favorite Weapon: It's unlikely he'd be allowed to use his favourite weapon, his beloved cutlass Black Betsy, so instead he favours Kendo sticks or any other weapons he can wield like the sword.

MINI BIOGRAPHY
Born to a simple farming family in the Virgin Isles, a young Morgan Darkwater - at that time still using his family name of Duckwaithe - always dreamt of a more adventurous life, and from the age of 16 he set about actively seeking all the thrills life had to offer. He started by joining the navy, working his way up the ranks to Captain over the course of the next ten years, but soon found that the position didn't hold the excitement and freedom he'd always imagined, and was rather more tied-up in official bureaucracy.
After a few years struggling to take orders from the higher-ups safe in their cushy offices back in Washington, Morgan retired from the Navy with honours and put his considerable savings into what many would consider a ridiculous endeavour for a man in the 21st Century: to singlehandedly re-ignite the Golden Age of Piracy. He purchased an old-fashioned galleon called "The Winds of Fortune", and hired a crew of likeminded thrillseekers to man it. Thus the adventurous times of pirate Captain Morgan Darkwater began...!
But even the Caribbean tropics, with its rich abundance of mystery, adventure, danger and treasure, ultimately wasn't enough to sate his hunger for glory and gold. And so, in 2014, he returned to the mainland and set about putting his vast combative skills to use, training towards his new goal to achieve the ultimate gold: The EWC Titles.
