It’s a warm afternoon in The Core Spire as Kolby Kreel is sitting in the back room of the Leaky Faucet Tavern. His hand is wrapped around the handle of a medium size tankard as he sips on the contents. He appears to be reading when his lovely wife Daphne comes walking into the room with Joseph Solomon, Phoebe King, Nathan McDaniels and Alastair Gray following right behind her. Kolby smiles as he leans his face up and looks at his friends.
”Welcome to the Leaky Faucet my friends, please have a seat.” he suggests while motioning his hands toward the chairs surrounding the table. Daphne takes a seat next to her husband as each person takes a seat. ”Before we begin, would anyone like a drink or some food,” he offers before snapping his fingers together. A serving wench comes walking into the room as Kolby orders her to take everyone’s order.
Now the Leaky Faucet used to be a run down tavern that was left abandoned by the previous owners. When Kolby saw during his walk through the city, he phoned his benefactor and asked for some of his inheritance that his parents left for him. After receiving the money, he bought the Leaky Faucet and gave it a much needed makeover.
After collecting everyone’s order, the serving wench leaves as Kolby leans forward in his chair and places his hands on top of the table.
For the last month, my wife and I have been mulling over the idea of bringing the family back together. Kolby says to a room full of murmuring.
Phoebe King turns her head and looks at Kolby. What exactly are you saying Kolby? Are resurrecting family game night? she asks him point blank.
Kolby nods his head as Daphne intercedes. That’s exactly what we are saying, Pheebs. It’s nice seeing Ashley and Joseph on the road with us but we miss the family. So what do you say.
More murmurs echo through the room as everyone nods their head in agreement. Kolby smiles just as the serving wench returns with a tray full of tankards and goblets. Excellent! he proclaims while rubbing his hands together.
Everyone watches Kolby as a sinister grin appears on his face. Not many people can tell what goes on inside the head of Kolby. Not many people would want to. His therapist has tried to get him to open up but it just turned into her crying like an idiot as he was the one grilling her about her life choices. His wife, Daphne, didn’t question her husband as she knew that would only end up going bad for her.
When do we start Kolby? Alastair asks as Kolby’s head snaps toward him. Alastair gulps as Kolby just grins.
Family Game Night will start soon. We will be in touch. Kolby says in a weird tone.
Everyone is drinking and having fun chatting as Kolby leans back in his chair while rubbing his hand over a small trinket in his lap. Daphne sees him out of the corner of her eye and smirks.
The scene slowly fades as Nathan is seen rolling around clutching his crotch as Joseph is sitting just smiling while kissing his fist.
