“The itsy bitsy spider, crawled up the water spout..” The Collector sang in his old voice standing on the edge of a cliff, the angry waters below crashing into jagged rocks. The moon was nearly blocking out the sun above, The Eclipse nearly complete.
“..down came the rain and washed the spider out.” It started to rain blood all over The Collector's face, he smiled. The sun became blocked and the sky darkened.
“..Mammon took his form and rose from the dead and the Remarkable little spider was never seen again!” The Collector laughed as the Eclipse passed as quickly as it started and the sun came out again.
He turned but a gloved hand quickly grasped his neck.
“You tricked me, servant!” Morden Crypt growled and loomed over the old man. The motion caused his black hat to fly off and show his white hair, waving in the wind.
“It was, inevitable! We could see it coming, you should have too! Mammon sent the signs for a month! Can't you understand this?!” The Collector struggled but Morden Crypt easily lifted him up with one hand and walked to the edge. The old man's shoes fell off to the waters below.
“That still doesn't give you the right to deceive me! You have outlived your worth in this world. Servant!” Morden Crypt opened his hand and The Collector fell away, vanishing in the rough surf, one hundred feet below.
Morden Crypt stood there for a moment. Looking down at the surf. He turned and The Collector stood there, several feet away at the edge of the woods.
“Mammon won't let you get rid of me that easily, my old master. He has work for you to do in this world and you'll need my help.” The Collector took a step back and got lost in the shadows of the woods.
